from a disgruntled fiance who threatened to cut his fiance's fingers just to reclaim the engagement ring he gave her. >> But I will come back till I take the ring off this physically. >> I don't think that's a good idea. >> I don't care. >> I always come back or when I get my license, I'll follow. I will confront her. >> She will be confronted by me. Watch your back. >> No touching like that. >> To an husband who went completely ballistic on officers for conducting a welfare check on his wife. >> WHY YOU BANGING ON MY DOOR ON ME, BRO? >> WHAT the you talking about, man? >> I'm not playing this [ __ ] bro. It's my wife. >> Chantel Chantel. WHY ARE YOU TREATING me like this? >> No. WHY ARE YOU TREATING ME LIKE [screaming] THIS? >> NO. >> I SAID NO. >> Here are several moments when men got completely owned by nononsense officers. Starting with 55-year-old Gregory, a husband who believed he could assault his much younger wife behind closed doors and talk his way out of it. She would have taken care of my up, man. >> What happened? >> She ripped my Bible apart, man. >> Okay. >> That's crazy. >> How did that stop? >> I just asked her to go home. She >> Did you try to stop her from breaking? >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. How'd you do that? >> She has an injury to her lip. >> You know, >> on January the 1st, 2025, officers were dispatched to a residence following reports of a heated domestic disturbance. When they arrived, they found Gregory and his wife locked in a volatile confrontation and the home in complete disarray. >> Talking about, man, >> my property is in. >> She want to take care of my up, man. >> What happened? >> She do what the she want. She going to tear my up. >> What happened, man? >> You know >> what's been going on tonight? You can go down the house to her house and just be happy, but she want to stay out here and argue with me. >> Okay. What What happened tonight? do what she wants. Okay. What she thinking? >> I don't know what she thinking. >> What she tell you? >> What's What jumped it all off? >> She got you stressing. >> I see you got the black and my on you, man. What happened? >> Break it down. >> Rip my Bible apart, man. >> Okay. >> That's crazy. >> How did that How did that stop? >> I just asked her to go home. She only >> Okay. >> She don't want to go home and she want to stay on here and argue with me. >> So you asked her to go home. >> Is that why she got mad? >> I don't know why she got mad. I don't know why she got mad. >> Okay. Okay. So y'all arguing right back and forth. >> Is that what's going on? >> And then what happened? >> Then what happened? She tried to throw everything at my TV and break it. >> Okay. >> Rip my Bible up. Okay. Did you try to stop her from breaking? >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. How'd you do that? [laughter] >> How you How you stop? >> I just held her back. Start in front of my TV. >> How'd you hold her back? Can you show me the >> Huh? >> How'd you hold her back? Can you show me? >> I hold her back. I wasn't trying to hold her back when she was trying to throw that and throw the ashray and throw everything at my TV. >> Yeah. So, you tried to You tried to stop her from uh throwing your stuff. How'd you stop her? Just stood in front of her. You >> just stood in front of her. >> Did you hit her at all? >> No. >> No. You >> I didn't hit her. >> I mean, I thought we do. You just tell me if you did or not. >> It was clear he wasn't telling the full story. His answers were selective and carefully measured. But the officer wasn't new to this. Rather than confront him head-on, he let Gregory talk, quietly pressing in the right places, giving him just enough room to unravel his own version of events. >> I know you sometimes, >> you know, people [music] get mad and upset and stuff. They don't even realize what they did. Do you believe that you could >> Okay. I ain't trying to hurt her. I tell her just go home. times what it is is sometimes you don't even know >> your arms are flailing everywhere and stuff and you could have accidentally hit her and you know stuff like that. It's no problem, you know. You know, it's just sometimes people accidentally, oh man, I ain't even mean, you know, this, this, and that. She accidentally got hit. >> Now, what you had to do is just go down on her house, man. >> Did your arm like you talking? >> Come on, man. Come on, man. You're not trying to get me to incriminate myself. I'm not going to turn into >> I'm telling you what happened. She All she had to do is just go home. >> Okay. you. But I'm what I'm saying is you tried to tell me that you tried to stop it, right? >> Every every time she tried to do something. >> Yeah. >> I don't want to step on your stuff. Got a charger over there. >> It wouldn't even be on It wouldn't even be like this if it wasn't for her tearing it up. Look at my Bible, man. >> Yeah. >> Look at my Bible, man. >> I see that. >> Did she hit you at all? >> Yeah, she hit me. >> How did she hit you? But I didn't I ain't I ain't trying to go in there. I'm not I don't I just I just wanted to go home and get whatever she need. >> I just got to ask, man. I just got to ask. >> Not doing my job if I don't ask. >> That's where you put the money. >> How long you guys been together? >> I've been seeing her I've been seeing her for like three years. about three years. Do she do she stay here the night sometimes? >> She had >> Okay. No problem. >> This her? >> Yep. >> All right. Look at the ashtray. >> Yeah, because she tried to throw it at my TV. >> Oh, no. >> Is that hers? >> Mine is mine. Yeah. Oh, mine is mine. >> Is that her over there? What's her >> code? >> Okay, we going to give that to her. Yeah. Yeah. >> He was She was said that all all the things that was ripped up was from earlier today was your altercation with somebody else. >> No, it ain't no altercation with nobody else. >> You sent some guy to the hospital earlier today. >> That that had nothing to do with this. >> She saying that's why we came from this. >> No, that a had nothing to do with this. In classic fashion, he tried playing the victim card, speaking with just enough confidence to suggest he thought he might pull it off. But as the inconsistencies in his story piled up, the evidence began [music] to speak for itself. >> Hey, hey, hey, hey. They're talking to her just like we talked to you. We're not you're not going to communicate to her whatever she's accusing you. >> I want to press charges of her ripping my too. I want to her coming in my house wrecking my >> Well, you invited her in the house first off. >> Did that give her the right to do what she >> Let me finish. First off, you invite her in the house. All right. >> But I have to find proof that she actually did this. She said this was already like this. Just like I had to find proof of of um her alleging that you you got her to her. >> Okay, I get that. So, why wouldn't she leave when you told her to leave? >> I don't know why she wouldn't leave. She just wouldn't leave. >> What was she upset about that caused her to do any of this? >> You got to help me out. >> Oh, no. She think she thinks I helped more people out. >> After speaking with the wife and observing the visible injuries, which included a bloodied lip, bruises, [music] and clear signs of a struggle. The officers started to put together what had truly happened. >> Hey, sir. You got a shirt? >> You got a shirt on? >> You got a shirt? You have to come with us, >> huh? >> You got to come with us. All right. >> We got problems that he is. >> Come on, man. >> Come on, man. >> For real, man. This girl do all this, man. >> She has an injury to her lip. You know, >> she says you you're >> Well, I want I want to put charge against her question, too. >> Tell your part. We're going to get >> No, I want her to go, too. >> Well, there are two separate charges. All right. She'll be charged for that, too, separately. All right. >> Yeah. >> You got anything? >> Here, let's get this. I'm going set this down. >> You got any or anything like that? The camera's going to find that there won't leave here. You know what I mean? Man, you >> got any on you, sir? Okay. >> Take them with you when we got here. >> We got these lighters. >> No, you put my shirt up. >> Yeah, we'll put a shirt on. >> Come on, man. I going to put a shirt on when you with my >> We'll put a shirt on. >> Where do you have a shirt? You have a shirt handy. >> Come on, man. Can I lock my house up, man? Can I lock my house up? Let's get the shirt. Okay. Okay. >> We're going to need a shirt. >> You have a shirt in here. >> You have a shirt in here, sir. >> Sir, I'm trying to get you a shirt. You have a shirt. >> Okay. You don't want to tell us. >> You're going to have to go with no shirt. >> Oh, man. Can I lock my house up? >> We're trying, but I'm trying to get you a shirt >> cuz that door got to be locked and I got to go out the back. >> One thing at a time. Do you have a shirt? >> Thank you very much. >> Come on, dude. Whatever you got to do, man. >> Do you have a shirt? >> I got my Come on, man. >> Come on, man. >> Do you just want this hoodie >> or jacket? >> You don't got any, right? >> Come on, man. I ain't got no >> I got to ask, man. >> You want the change to go with you? Here, >> I'mma throw this over you. Okay. You can put it You can put it on better in the station. >> Does she want photos? >> Paris, does she want photos? >> Doug has plans. He is excited to come back to start. Come on, man. We got no domestics. What the is this, dude? All right. Um, >> anything else? >> What is hers? >> Ain't nothing hers in this house. >> Everything. >> All right. Nothing else is hers. >> No. >> Where are your keys? So, we can lock >> right there. >> All right. We're going to lock up the house for you. All right. >> I'm going to lock this door by a top lock in the >> We have to go out the back. >> Yes. >> All right. Is there anything else you need to get your phone in your wallet? I I don't know. >> Yeah, we're going to come out that door. Plus, you want to go out the back door. >> Do you usually go out this door? >> I know. That door's got to be locked and you got to go out the back. >> Can I lock it back from the outside, though? >> No, the back door. I have Okay, that's fine. >> For reasons only he could justify, he didn't see anything wrong with what he had done. He clung tightly to his delusion that he was the one being wrong. >> She ain't got nothing in this this door. Come on. Come on. Come on. Come on. >> No. No. No. She's not coming in here. >> She ain't coming in here. >> What is hers? >> I don't know because >> No, she ain't coming. >> She's got She got to specifically tell us. >> She ain't got nothing in here. >> Where your purse was dumped, we got everything. >> She ain't got nothing in here. >> Don't worry. We're not going to let her in here. It's not her place. It's your place. >> Hey, Harris. Where her purse was dumped, we got everything. There's nothing else. >> Okay. >> Where our purse? >> Yeah. We >> uh we're just going to walk on this way. No, you lock it. We'll let him pick >> my birth certificate up and my other stuff that fell out my Bible, man. >> Well, you when you come back, we'll get that. How do you lock this door >> from that top lock? >> The top lock. >> The top one. The top one. This one? >> Yes. >> We'll just We'll have him show us how to get out. If you want to shut that and we'll go out the back door. >> So, just this like this. >> Yes. >> All right. All right. All right. Now, where do we go to get out of here? >> This back door. >> Yeah. >> Lock. >> Lock. >> Okay. >> Is that locked? >> No. >> I can get it, buddy. >> There you go. Watch your step. I don't want him to fall. >> I'll lock it back. All right. >> I want her I want her to go the rest of the way because of my man. >> Yeah. Yeah. We have to handle each arrest differently though. Her her arrest is a little different than yours. >> And we'll speak more about how she uh damaged everything in your house uh when I read your rights down the station. Watch your stuff. >> My god, man. >> Oh my god. >> You all right? >> Come on. >> I spitting on it. >> Did it your change fall out? >> No. >> This ising crazy, man. >> In the end, he was charged with domestic battery. Gregory wasive, no doubt, but he was nothing compared to this husband who subjected his wife to both physical and emotional torment and pushed her to a breaking point inside her own home. >> What's going on? >> This is out of control. >> Use it today. >> I can't help you if you're not being honest. something. >> Hope you're happy. This is what you wanted, right? >> On July the 14th, 2024 in Lake County, Illinois, deputies were dispatched to a residence after 911 received a frantic call for help. Upon arrival, they encountered a volatile scene with the husband allegedly perpetrating an unthinkable act against his wife. >> How you doing, ma'am? What's going on? >> Um, we're just having a disagreement. >> Okay. How many people are in the house? >> Just my husband and myself. Your husband is in there. >> Okay. Are >> there any weapons in there that I should know? >> Yes, I have my wagon. >> You can step out here, please. >> No, I don't need to. >> Excuse me. >> I don't need to. >> I'm asking you to please step out here. Okay. I'm conducting an investigation right now. >> Yeah. You're called because we I was yelling on the >> Hold on a second. Am I being disrespectful to you? >> I know how the game plays, man. >> What game are you talking about? I'm >> not going to get arrested for any >> Who says you're going to get arrested? >> They don't have right here. Okay. Did nothing happen? Can I see some ID from you? And can I see some ID from you? >> Obviously, go get it from her. I'll ask you where it's at. Huh? >> Yes, I can get my >> Okay. What's going on? >> This is out of control. >> I need to be specific. What kind of out of control? What has he done? >> Did he use it today? >> He's very physically. Did he physically hurt you today? >> Did he throw something at you today? >> Hit you up. >> Did he hit you? >> You I can't help you. >> You're not being honest. >> Yeah, exactly. But she had I have to be close to the doorway. What the [ __ ] you going to do? Get the out. But I need to know if we have a crime or not. Okay. >> I haven't done anything wrong. >> Want to study further away? >> So you can concentrate over here. >> There's plenty of people over there. Come on. >> For a woman who had already endured repeated being forced to relive it again was deeply traumatic. However, her sister, who had remained on the phone during the incident, was ready to provide officers with a detailed account of what had unfolded. >> She's been on the phone the whole time. She'll say things. >> Okay. Michelle, tell the tell the officer the truth. Michelle. >> Michelle, you have to tell her the truth this time. >> What do you know, ma'am? Just tell me what you know. >> He's been physically entire marriage started uh when they were dating. >> I need to know what happened. I need to I need to know what happened today so I can >> um he he texts me with a text message uh saying, "Oh, she's, you know, stepping out. She's beening this guy for a year. I need you to know." And um I didn't I just ignored it. And then she called me and said, "Hey, I was in the shower. Um I'm assuming you've gotten the text messages from Ron. Um and I'm not sure, you know, I need to catch you up on things. I told him I want a divorce. I'm selling our boat. Um you know, there's some stuff we need to talk about." I said, "Okay, that's fine." And I could hear him. Then she was like, "Stop. Stop." I heard then he called me back. He hung up. Then he called me back. Um, and I could hear him screaming at her and I said, "Ron, you need to calm down." And he's all, "Don't youing tell me to calm down." And I was like, "Okay." >> Was any Is this on FaceTime? [music] >> No, he won't talk on FaceTime. This is all what I've heard >> in my house. >> Do you have access to look at these cameras on your phone? We're going to disconnect so she can see the camera [music] footage and show me. Okay. >> Okay. No worries. Thank you so much. >> All right. You're welcome. >> So, today maybe >> Yeah. I I've got really bad My contacts [music] are really like >> Look, if you don't mind me looking. >> No, you're fine. I like I said, I've hardly >> like What time did we receive the call? I'm trying to look at the video cameras. >> So, we got it at 3:59. Would you say that it was just prior to that? This is 3:38ish, I think. >> You're going to hear cuz that camera will record everything in the house. So, you can hear him yelling at me even in >> Okay. The hearing isn't as important as what I'm seeing on a camera. If he hit you or or threw something at you to hit you, like an attempt to hit you, then we might have a violence. >> No, that happened living room and there was no cameras in the living room. >> Okay. So, something like that did happen. He threw something at you to hit you. >> My my phone. >> So, what? >> My phone. >> So, he threw your phone >> at me? >> His phone at you? >> Yeah. I didn't want >> Am I not bringing it up? >> I don't want to I don't want to ruin his flight. I decided >> So what what what would you like us what how can we help you? If we have a charge, it may not be up to you. It may be up to us, but we need to know from your from your mouth what happened and just summarize it. >> For the officer, allowing an husband to walk away without accountability was never [music] on the table. Gathering a clear factual account of what had taken place was the immediate priority. >> Summarization is that um >> got into an argument because of this. >> Yeah, we've been dealing with this for like the last 3 months, >> but kind of fast forwarded it. It exploded today >> again and again and again and again and again. >> So, what happened? What did he do? >> Um he just wants to continually scream and yell at me, throw everything in my face. Now he's calling my sister, my [music] parents. I was literally I took a shower, sat on the couch, he was taking my phone from me, screaming and yelling, and he was saying that and I don't want to say his elbow because again, all these all the weapons in the house are mine. Um, he keeps saying he's [music] going to go and hurt him. And then he then that's when he start getting all the weapons out of the closet [music] and all my stuff. >> He's getting the weapons out today. >> Right now >> for what? >> Um because he said that if anyone comes in the house, he's going to light them up. >> Okay. Well, that could be that could be interpreted not as a crime um because of the surrounding statements if he said I'm going to but the condition part is not going to be considered a crime but I more importantly did he say threaten did he threaten you did he say anything like that that was direct not conditional >> you guys >> what did he say >> he said if you guys went in the house that's why I was trying to stop him if you listen the recordings Stop touching the weapons. Knock it off. And kept saying, "If they come through this door, I'm going to light them up." I've always tried to protect everyone in law enforcement. I'm a good girl. I've never done anything wrong. >> All right. So, stay out here for just a moment so I can get a partner so he can hear us. We can hear it together. Okay. Just stay right here. All right. Tell tell him again about the phone in the arm. >> Yeah. So, what happens? >> You know, he grabs my phone and he throws it at me. Um he's done it multiple times. He broke um m go living room stuff he smashed and everything on the floor. You'll see holes in the walls. But again um I don't know what else to tell you. I was just sitting on the couch and just make it go away. >> Okay. So he came over and grabbed your phone tonight. >> And then what did you say when he grabbed your phone? >> To stop. Please don't break it. Please don't break it. >> Okay. That doesn't really help. >> And then once you said, "Please don't break it." What did he do? >> Um, he grabbed it and they uh multiple times and he he's throwing it at me multiple times, too. >> When you [snorts] say throw it at you, I I know it's a silly question, but how does he throw it at you? >> Like I was sitting on the couch with my legs closed, just quiet, and he just throw throw it at my arm. And um then the next time he took it and he threw it at this arm. >> So did it hit your arm? Yeah. >> Okay. Was that Can you point on your arm where it hit your arm? >> Um, well, this is a different one, but I'm sure this would be another. >> So, that bruise from >> the other. The other day. Not today. A different day. >> From what though? What happened? >> From him grabbing me. And I already >> How did he grab you? Did he just walk up and grab your arms? Did he push you? Did he >> I was in the bathroom. We were getting ready to go to bed and um he was throwing a fit that night and um I remember him grabbing here and then he um hit me in my chest with my medicine cabinet. I had a bruise here too at the same time. >> Okay. It got him throwing your phone at you. >> No, that's in the living room. You can hear everything he's saying about coming into the house. Oh, okay. >> You can you're going to hear everything he said, too. You can hear everything in the house from this camera. >> Okay. Okay. Let's try and pull that up. >> Like he was getting all out and I was trying to tell him to stop. He's like kept saying he's going to whoever comes in this house, me and you guys, he's going to light you up. And I'm like, you're not doing that. I'm a good girl. >> Okay. Is that why he got the up or what was the initial reason for getting him out? >> Yeah. said she called 911 and so he said I'm going to get the >> Yeah. Anyone comes through the front door is going to light them up. >> Okay. >> I don't know where you want me to start. >> Do you want to fill out a statement of what happened today? >> As the statements and physical evidence began aligning, it became [music] clear that the investigation was narrowing in on the husband. It was only a matter of time before officers confronted him with the reality he had been trying so hard to avoid. >> All I do is I'm going to file for a divorce. I'm amicable. I just want to split things up and let it go. It means just he's like blessing living hell. >> Okay. Okay. >> I just I just want to get out safely. >> Yeah, >> that's it. I know. And yes, I've had a couple of drinks. I did. >> That's fine. >> We started texting. There was nothing to it. I never touched anyone else. I've never cheated. I've never done any of that. Yes, it was inappropriate. I get it, but I never did anything wrong. >> Okay, that's that even if it is inappropriate, it doesn't give anyone right to put their hands on you or hit you with stuff. So, what I'm asking is today's incident about him yelling, throwing the phone at you, stuff like that. Would you like to write that down on paper? >> How is that work? No, I I don't want to ruin his life. He's got to go to work and I just want him be able to get out safely without repercussions. Okay. So, >> I don't understand how bad this is for me. >> So, >> it's not easy. >> I got you. I I don't understand. You're right. I've never been in your situation. But unfortunately, now that we're here, it's no longer in your hands. It's no longer in his hands. It's in my hands. And if I have enough to make an arrest, I'm making an arrest because it's domestic. He doesn't have a choice. You don't have a choice. Okay? So, all I'm really asking is, would you like to put it on paper? If you don't want to, you don't have to. I'm still going to make my decision based off what I heard today. Just stand right here. He They're watching him. So, just stay right here. You'll be safe. Okay. >> Hope you're happy. This is what you wanted, right? What the reason you dropped me? >> Can I what? >> You know what? I didn't do anything. >> What? I didn't do anything. >> What's the matter? I do. >> You're in custody. You have the right to remain finally. You understand these rights? >> Take a step back. >> I pull my shirt. Hold on. Let me pull my pull short. >> All right. Take a step back. >> Step back. >> When your chest off, take a step back. There you go. Perfect. >> Do you have anything on you? >> Nope. >> Have a seat. >> You want me to hurry up? I'm hurrying up. >> Yeah. >> We're going to get you to jail as fast as possible. Face away from me. >> Sit back. Face away from me. >> I can't with my wrist away from me. Your input came on. >> Eventually, the husband was charged with simple battery and criminal mischief. Next is this psycho who threatened to cut his fiance's finger just to reclaim [music] his engagement ring. >> What's going on, man? You guys have a fight? >> That's my fiance. >> Okay. Can you guys have a fight or something? Or >> a fight? She's a piece of scumbag. >> Okay. >> She It's a problem. >> Okay. >> But I will come back. So I take the [ __ ] ring off this physically. >> Hands behind your back. >> Shut up. First of all, shut the [ __ ] up. >> Watch your back like that. >> On May the 17th, 2025 in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. Officers were dispatched to a chaotic scene involving an intoxicated ex- fiance who refused to take no for an answer. He was reportedly banging on the door, causing a disturbance and ignoring repeated warnings to stay away from the property. He was quite a rude guy, but that would change when the cops put him in his place. >> Yeah. You well? >> What's going on, man? >> I need to talk to >> She lives in this house. Okay. Who is that? Tis is my fiance. Okay. What's going on? I need to talk to Tus is why I'm here. Okay. About what? Hey, I'm going to call you right back. All right. If responsible, just answer. Bye. >> I just have to talk to Temp about what? >> Hey, I just pop in. >> I have to talk to Tempest. This whole thing is between me and her and you and if I broke the law, it's fine to take me in. No, >> it's fine. You're good. >> Come out today. >> You're good. We're just trying to find out what's going on. >> Is she going to come outside? >> Uh, probably not right now, but we'll go talk to her for you. That's why Well, >> what? >> I just want to talk. We'll talk to her for you. What? What? What's going on? You guys have a fight? >> That's my fiancé. >> Okay. Okay. You guys have a fight or something or >> a fight? She's a piece of a scumbag. >> Okay. >> She It's a problem. >> Okay. >> I decided tonight to initiate something. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, here's the cops are here and that's fine. So, she's going to end up coming out cuz we'll be here. You have nothing against me. If she don't come out, I want my my ring off her finger back to me. >> Okay. You just want >> right here. Right now. That's it. That's my >> Where where are you living at, Will? >> I live in Beachwood. That's where I live in Beachwood. How'd you get here? My bike. >> I was at my friend. This is my buddy's bike, man. Oh, >> I didn't even know I answer your questions, but I live in Beachwood. >> Okay. >> This is why I'm here. >> Okay. Trying to get the ring back >> and let her know she's a >> Okay. >> All right. Are you drinking out tonight, Will, or anything like that? >> Of course I'm drinking, dude. Obviously, I'm drinking. Okay. >> I'm always drinking if I want to be drinking. That shouldn't even be a question anyway cuz I'm not driving. >> I'm still >> You don't know how much I drank, but I can still outsmart you. All right. >> Okay. >> In any situation. >> So, get her out here. >> We'll talk to her. I think they're talking to her right now. >> Good. >> Good. >> Um, sick. >> Who was your friend? >> Jar. >> Charles Vandal. >> Where's Where's >> Seaside Heights? Sees Park. >> Seaside Park. You know what street? Just >> J. I think >> Jack. >> Yeah. >> Got it. >> Basically, you know where the park is. The marina right there. It's right there. Yeah. >> J, so I've been drinking. >> Okay. >> And you ask me questions. Smart. >> She's a [ __ ] and I'm pissed. >> Okay. Well, do you have Do you have your ID on you, man? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Can I see it? >> Of course. >> Thank you, sir. >> Here's my wallet. >> All good. Thank you. >> I appreciate your ID. >> You guys touch me. It's a problem. >> Okay. Don't touch me. That's all that was said. I didn't yell. I didn't make a scene out of it. He knew nothing. He did not like me. He told me what I would call me. I said even next Tuesday. I don't think he was screaming at me. Told me how much he paid to me. Um and then he was blowing my phone, called me. I told him to stop. I said he came up on me also. I'm not talking nicely. I'm not your fault. He blew me up. He called me 16 times. My kids are stressed. I am stressed. He told me or leave us alone. Christie coming through here. driving like a cascat. They parked me in, started telling me, "Open my window and tell the boys open up the windows." >> And all I wanted was a normal conversation. I said, "You can have the voice." I said, "But you need to calm down." And all that Jackson, my 13-year-old, asked for was no sleepovers at the house. And I said, "And EMTT wants to hang out." >> What do you mean? What do you mean sleepovers at the house? >> So last Friday, he took the boys and then he spawned on me at 30:30 at night that they were going to sleep over. I'm I'm I'm sorry. Say that again. Sorry. >> Basically, last Friday, he sprung on them a surprise sleepover. Didn't tell me until 6:30 at night. And so when I said that the boy he wanted to take the boys today, he said I just asked what they were going to do and stuff. And I said Jackson just requested that there were no surprises. No. People were at his new girlfriend's house. They just met >> uh his new girlfriend's house. His new girlfriend. >> Okay. So your your kid didn't want to go to his new girlfriend's house. And all I said was it's like they want to hang out with Nick. They said they don't want to single because they just met her last week and it's the first time they met her. It was something so simple. It was something small. He does this to me. This is not the first time he's supposed to be dead. This is not the first time he screamed at me, dog me blowing at my phone. And so basically I just wanted him to just have a conversation with me. He freaked out and then he found me when I was waiting [music] here for you. >> Okay. So did he I guess what So what is your complaint today that he was trying to take the the kids >> screaming? I didn't feel safe. Like I didn't feel safe. I didn't feel like the kids are safe because once he hits the tipping point, he freaked out and he screams and he actually psychology. [music] He's already touched the walls. He's up full. And so when he was screaming at me, I didn't feel safe. And that's [music] where he would start. Got [snorts] it. is uh do you have what's the custom arrangement? >> We have nothing. >> So it's civil agreement between you guys of where the kids are at? >> Yeah. Usually I'm flexible. So he's with me. I can take the kids. I always figure things. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you just didn't want them going by friends. I mean, initially that's how it started, but when he started screaming [music] it was that I didn't want to take him anymore because >> Armed with the ex-wife statement, the officer turned to the husband to hear his version of events, but instead of offering a clear account, he chose to escalate the situation [music] even further. >> All right, what's the deal? She's going to hold my kids voice at her. >> She's mad that she's saying my kid doesn't want to sleep over the girls. I don't want you to go there. >> Okay. >> And I told her that. >> So why are you already >> You're not J we're at the stop lights. J we're at the stop lights at [music] uh 42. Okay. What was the point of that gas? >> It [music] slipped on the gas. >> Okay. You got proof of insurance on the truck. Can you hold down your back windows for me? You roll down your back windows for me. Why? This officer safety concern you up to the windows. >> What? That's not a legal search. It's for my safety. Get off my truck. Get off my truck. >> That's not how this works. You want to trouble your insurance? >> I can't read it in two seconds. Otherwise, I'm just going to give you another citation for it. [music] >> Do you have any weapons in the truck? >> Okay. Anything like that? >> Yeah, I'm back with you. >> So, yeah, she was at the gas pumps. [music] I don't know how he knew where she was because they don't live together and they were just on the phone. So I guess he [music] came like so then talked to her for a little bit. Um he's, you know, constantly just kind of interrupting. [music] So I get her side of the story. Don't really have anything. Go to talk to him and you know, hey, you know, what's what's going on? What's the deal? And he's like, [music] yep, we're just, you know, just being over child custody agreement. And I'm asking him questions. He's like, all right, well this, you know, you guys already have your mind made up. um takes off, does you know a burnout and then a donut in the Quick Trip parking lot and then takes off an hour stop. >> Yep. Yeah. Um he does have a a pocket knife on his door area. He does have a pocket knife either on him or by his driver side door to see how to >> for reasons best known only to him. He carried himself as though he was untouchable. But in a jify, he learned he was dealing with an officer who had no interest in theatrics and no hesitation in asserting control when the situation demanded it. Step out of the car for me. Step out of the car for me. Step out of the car for me. Step out of the car. Step out of the car because you're under arrest. Step out of the car for DCDVO and resistance because you took step out of the car or you're going to get more charges for disorderly conduct. >> How disord of the car. I'm not going to argue >> resisting or obstructing because you took off. Okay. Open your door. Open your door now. >> No. Open the door. Open the door. I'm breaking the door. >> Oh [ __ ] [ __ ] >> OPEN YOUR DOOR. >> WHAT? You might see a automatic crash notification for this location. You can disregard it. >> In the end, he was charged with disorderly [music] conduct, domestic resisting an officer, and battery of an LEO, along with additional citations for reckless [music] driving, and an illegal window tint. Moving on to an boyfriend whoed his girlfriend, shattered her vehicle's windows and slashed the tires seemingly because he thought he could. >> Locked myself in the car. He got out and he starts stabbing my tires and he starts destroying my windshield trying to get in trying to unlock the door. He finally unlocks the door and he hops in and starts punching me. >> Got in a verbal altercation and she started tackling me and hitting me. On February the 21st, 2024, the police responded to a call from a neighborhood citing domestic dispute. Witnesses stated that a young male aggressively a female breaking her vehicle windows and slashing her tires. When police approached him, his response was not expected. >> Who did this? HEY 119 GOT ONE RUNNING. Get on the ground. Find the current location going northbound. running towards running northbound. >> He's laying on the ground in the yard now. I'm sorry, babe. >> You're an idiot. >> I'm leaving my mom. >> How old are you? >> I just had a mama 15. Where'd you cut yourself on? >> I'll tell you them. I only hit him with one probe. >> Another ain't grabbing my bloody arm all over you. >> All right. >> Bring your knees up to your stomach. >> Yep. >> Lift up. There you go. There you go. Come on. >> Stand up. >> What's going on? I saw. >> No, you didn't. >> 104, you can clear traffic. We have them detained. >> Um, we're going to be at >> my 8 9 0. >> Um, they're going to press charges. >> Press charges >> at 89. Harry down pretty bad and her vehicle's uh battered as well. Come on. Stand by traffic. >> Hey, Dan. Goodbye. Taylor, please. >> I got it. >> Grab that thing. Let's grab that case. All right. Have a seat. >> Sit down. >> Jesus Christ. I got to do paperwork on you. Get in there. >> After arresting the suspect, the police spoke to the suspect's mother to understand what actually happened. It was then that the cops began to realize that the young man was a real menace to his girlfriend. >> It's her boyfriend, but my son, unfortunately. >> And I say I didn't mean to say unfortunately, but I'm just not changing. And I've literally told her to leave, leave, leave, leave. And she won't listen to me. >> Yeah. >> And listen, if they freaking look at his biological, he has misdemeanor. He has everything. So, I mean, if y'all would actually look at the whole picture here, >> he's just nine times like literally just happened. just got out of jail. >> I mean, I'm just like, >> "Did y'all witness anything that happened?" >> No, they just got here like 10 minutes. >> The guy right there in the blue. >> I see the man right there at the stop sign. He saw the whole thing and thank you Jesus. He called you guys to figure this out cuz here Anna's crying. She doesn't know what to do. I'm on a call at work. I work from home obviously. Give me a minute. >> The officer decided to talk to the victim who was distressed about the entire situation and she had very things to say. >> I'm Deputy Widens. Okay. Um I got to try to figure out what's going on. Okay. We are going to have EMS come check you out cuz you're clearly very injured. Okay. Just have a seat. Um you're safe. Everything is okay. Just take a couple deep breaths for me. Okay. Just in and out. Okay. I know a lot's going on right now and I'm going to try to figure out what all happened today. Okay. Um I know she said you guys just got here, right? Okay. Where were you coming from? >> Do you remember? >> We were we were from um we were coming from Wilderness Landing. We were sleeping and then we got into a fight and they called the cops >> at Wilderness Landing. Okay. and he got in the driver's seat. He was either either I got in the car and he drove off with me or he was going to take my car and drive off and I wasn't going to have any service. >> Okay. >> Um so I I hopped in and I I just took the chance. I literally haven't been able to drive my car. He's been taking over >> since you left Wilderness Landing. Okay. Where is the that located? Do you do you know the street? Uh it's right off of uh Norman Riley out in Lake Baker. >> Okay. >> If you look up Wilder Landing Park, >> it's a free camping. >> Okay. >> She she was >> Okay. Um so I I noticed that you have injuries on your face. You have, you know, a black eye. Your cheek is swollen. Um how did you get those injuries? >> The black eye was a couple days ago. My busted lip was last night. And my cheek was today. >> Okay. Was that while you guys were in the vehicle? >> No, >> it was at um >> my my cheek was right then and there at the corner when one of the neighbors literally ripped him out of the car because he was hitting me >> inside the vehicle. >> I locked myself in the car. He got out and he starts stabbing my tires and he starts destroying my windshield and trying to get in, trying to unlock the door. He finally unlocks the door and he hops in and starts punching me. He pulls the E bra on and I can't put it down. >> Okay. >> Um, so you said he did that to your windshield. Did you have um a mirror here? And I >> destroyed that last night and my tail light. >> He did your tail light last night or today? >> Last night. >> Okay. Um, so your lip it looks like it's bleeding. Is that from when he was punching you in the vehicle? That was last night before and before they called the cup. >> Okay. Um, so your swollen cheek is from today. Okay. Okay. Um, >> the victim also exposed the manipulation tactics that the suspect was using while inflicting pain on her. >> He could have cut himself when he was uh >> he was threatening to stab himself in the chest the whole way. >> Okay. And that was from the fight. He's extremely he kept telling me over and over we've been on and off for almost three years. >> Okay. >> Um he his biggest threat is he's going to kill himself if I leave. >> And we've broken up before and we got back together after a month. Okay. >> I was really just trying to go back home. I kept telling him, "Let me just take take my things and just leave." >> Where's home? Um, >> okay. >> Um, and when [snorts] were you guys stopped down there? Is that how the >> He pulled the E brake and probably almost popped the back tires because every every tire is pretty much bald because he just dogs my car. He wouldn't let me drive it. He wouldn't let me do anything. I couldn't leave. Did you see what he was stabbing the tires with? >> Kitchen knife. >> A kitchen knife. Okay. Was that already in the vehicle? >> Does he normally carry a knife on him? Yeah. Okay. Um and you saw him stabbing the tires. Okay. Um and then how did you get to here? >> So we were >> I got it. >> Yeah, I got it. >> We were over by Pace High School. um had we had gotten copled at the Wilderness Landing. >> Okay. >> So, we were trying to figure out where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do and I said, "Well, why why don't you let me drive? You haven't slept, you know, why don't you close your eyes for a little bit? I've slept a couple hours cuz we've literally been driving around all night." >> He just had court. He already had a case with you. Um, what happened last night when the deputies were called? >> Uh, we drove off. I never spoke to them. >> Okay. So, you left before they got there. >> Um, yesterday was a court case for >> you as the victim. >> Yeah. And, uh, Christie. >> Okay. Are you guys um, living together at the tent site? >> We were, but not anymore. We packed everything. >> Okay. >> The officers also talked to the neighbor who called them to verify what he actually saw. This is the gentleman I seen at first kind of intervening. The car pulled up right at the corner right there and I saw him kind of he was using his elbows and hands and feet on the windshield. I think he shattered it with his elbow >> and then she let him in the car and then at that point I was already kind of getting out and I saw her shot hit her and her head kind of went into the to the driver side window and that's when I hit him. >> Okay. So she was in the driver's seat at the time that she was hit. Um, do you remember was it like a closed fist like a punch or a slap or you just >> It had to be a close fist. Her head recoiled, but I didn't see it. >> Okay. So, you saw the motion of him like swinging at her time. So, I just saw the one hit that that got her pretty solid at that point I pulled him out. >> Okay. Do you remember um was the door open or closed at that point? >> Okay. The passenger door was like cracked open. >> Okay. Um, and then was he standing outside of the vehicle? Do you remember? Or was he inside like on top of her? Okay. Okay. Um, and then did you already provide your information? Okay. Um, let me grab a form real quick and do you mind just giving me a quick um Okay, perfect. >> The officers moved the victim to an ambulance where they proceeded to ask more questions. >> I'm just going to ask you a couple questions. Okay. Do you remember about how many times he hit you in the face? He's hit me so much in the head. I can't remember anything. >> Okay. >> I feel like I have a concussion, but I don't know. >> Okay. Do you remember if you lost consciousness? >> I did this morning. Um when he busted my lip when we left the campsite, he was upset because I started yelling at him. He was getting mad and frustrated because I wasn't helping him pack. I was worried about the animals and trying to keep them in the car and he kept screaming at me and yelling at me and then he started destroying my car and he broke my driver side mirror. >> Give me one minute, please. >> He broke my driver's side mirror. Um, he broke my my mirror up top and >> I saw it on the ground. That was in at the campsite. Okay, >> that was when we were leaving packing up. Um, and he got so upset that he just started punching me and I just I was screaming about everything. She like [ __ ] the cops. >> Hey sweetie. Sweet. Don't want to interrupt, but >> getting hit like that. >> You need to go to the hospital. Your mom's coming. She can get the dogs for the test. >> She's not going to take my car. She's not going to take my animals. >> I mean, if we explain the situation, >> I don't want to go to the hospital. >> I mean, your your car is not going anywhere. It's not going to it's not drivable. So, either you're going to go home with your mom, you know, it's going to have to stay here. You can get it towed to your mom's house, but right now, I mean, there's no reason to not go. I mean, especially with you getting hit. They can document what happened. >> A Thank you. >> Officers told the victim that she'd be taken to the hospital, but they were surprised by her response. >> Don't go and then you end up dying. you know, people, like I say, people, you know, you got the adrenaline going right now. You got hit. You know, there's a lot more that could be going on. So, and like I said, they they can document all this bruising, all this stuff. >> And you can't see what's going on inside. >> Yeah. I mean, they need they probably need to scan your head to make sure. Okay. >> You can have internal injuries that you can't see or feel. >> Can I wait until my mom gets here? >> How? Where is she coming from? Peace. Okay, >> that's up to them. >> After getting the victim side of the story, it was now time to get the suspect's story. But as expected, never take blame for their actions. It was always about how their victims agitated them. >> So, what happened between you and your girlfriend today? >> Um, so we've both been on and she becomes very and was antagonizing. >> Okay. >> And we just had an event where we were at the campground. Um, I'm trying to think of the name of she knows. You'd have to ask her that part. Okay. Anyways, this is campground and uh we've been doing cuz we were staying out there and it's a lot easier to do out in the woods in the middle of nowhere and we do it on the back roads and stuff and we got to the camp and we were ready to move out that day. This uh this happened of course and um we uh got in a verbal altercation and she started tackling me and hitting me. And so I threw I threw something at her and then No, no, no. I I threw styrofoam freaking plates at her. I took a roll of styrofoam plates cuz she crashed at me and like slammed beyond my hip. And uh I got back up and I hit her with a bag of styrofoam plates that should be in the back of the car still. >> Okay. >> And uh sorry. >> That's okay. Take your time. >> I'm trying to think. It was a really eventful night. Um, so then after after that she started throwing like a long I think it was a 2x4 and then a a broom pole at me and I dodged the broom pole and uh and that's how that damage to the mirror happened on the car. I uh >> and this was all last night. >> Last night but I So what happened today? >> No, I've not done yet. >> Oh, okay. >> And then she made me run from the cops >> last night. >> She told me to turn off the lights and run. >> Okay. >> Why is this zapping me? Or is this certain? >> Okay. >> Okay. Keep going. >> And um >> so we we we got we got to like Alabama for some reason cuz I was driving in the dark and I can't see well cuz I have a bad eyesight and like halfway into one eye and a stigmatism also. >> Okay. >> I'm choking up. Sorry. I got >> That's okay. And um so we had to turn all the way from Alabama. And on the way back from there, this is when we started arguing again and she bit me. This don't really show anymore. Oh, she bit me. Physical altercation altercation. And I'm afraid to even say this part because last time we talked about it, the first battery charges that got dropped. She attacks me first. She's a very uh offensive uh woman. >> Okay. >> I'm usually on the defense. >> Gotcha. >> I'm kind of stringing bean. I can't do much. Um and um who was it? So we we pulled over and we talked about it and we promised we never hit each other again. And we were on the way here and I just didn't want to go near people. I wanted to spend all day with her today. I grew up watching my stepdad, my mom. and I think of him as a monster and I can't live with myself like that. And I told her I'd like to spend my day with you and by myself. She was going to leave me here. As soon as I did it, I started realizing what I did cuz I I black out whenever I get like that. So, I didn't take my medicine today. I have anxiety and I almost something. It's depression medicine. And I didn't take any of those today. We ain't eating today. So, we were both probably angry and and she wouldn't let me in the car and I freaked out and as soon as I freaked out, I was being ripped off by um >> Sometime later, the suspect's mother arrived on the scene. >> So, this is um just some resources in case you need it. Okay. Um instructions on how to take out an injunction if you need it. However, the judge did issue a no contact violation. Um however if you need further protection um also some shelters as well some resources uh counseling services um shelters. Okay. >> Is um can we do we need to take um pictures? So I already took pictures of her vehicle um and her injuries. >> Okay. >> Um so technically speaking um are you comfortable with me talking in front of your mom? Okay. I just want to make sure um I know there was an incident that happened in Okaloosa last night into this morning. Um technically speaking, you can file charges there for what happened. >> Um so he would have the domestic in Okaloosa >> and then he would have >> he has domestic in Okaloosa. >> Okay. >> Having another with >> I'm going to do >> this is going to mark it for him. >> Literally yesterday was I'm sorry to interrupt. Um, do you know the outcome of that? Yesterday, >> the charges were dropped >> because he told me he was going to change and I believed him. >> Okay. So, that was requested by you >> because he manipulated me. >> Okay. >> And then we got into an argument last night. That's why my driver's side uh mirrors broke. He shattered it. He shattered my back tail light. Um, punched it. That's why his hand's bleeding. Um, I did have one more question that just reminded me. Um, during the [snorts] incident that happened in the vehicle here, did were you able to defend him off in any way? Did you um do any strikes, any defensive, anything >> that you can remember? >> I tried shoving him off and my bike I can't. I'm very tiny at my muscle in my bones. The only thing I could do is >> um while he was on top of you, um striking you, do you remember biting him or trying to get him off you? >> Uh he reached over and was trying to get my foot off the brake to have me drive off instead of turning and my foot was staying on the brake. He kept trying to hit the gas uh and turn the wheel and try to get me off. He was trying to push me out of the car. So, I bit his shoulder and that's when he punched me in the face. >> And that was after he already sliced your tire was smashing the windshield. Okay. >> Okay. >> That was right when the neighbor came out and literally reached in and yanked him off. Yeah. >> The suspect was taken to the hospital and after he was cleared, he was charged with resisting arrest and property damage. His girlfriend also filed an injunction which he violated in just a few days. This resulted in a warrant for his arrest and he was detained a month later. Just when you thought that you'd seen it all, along comes this boyfriend who seemed to believe that being in a relationship gave him the right to control and abuse his partner. >> Accusing me of I don't know what talking to someone else. So he started putting his hands all in my face like that cuz he was already telling me if you um call any of your family to come help you or anything it's like going to be bad or whatever in my face and like shoving my face yelling >> cuz you do this [ __ ] We are just good. >> On August the 20th, 2022, officers answered a call signing a domestic disturbance. When they arrived, the victim said her boyfriend had argued with her and tried to hit her. So her mother called the police. >> The cops are already here. But the cops are already here. But >> did you see a Escalade? >> Cuz he just call me asking if I called the cops on him. >> On who? >> On my boyfriend that was here. >> Were you here? >> Yeah. >> So what happened? >> He was uh accusing me of I don't know what talking to someone else. So he started putting his handball in my face like that, telling me, "Admit it. Admit it." And I he woke up both the babies. I barely put him back to sleep. >> How many babies do you guys have? >> I have a seven-year-old. He's on this side of the house, but the other two are in the room with me. >> Okay. >> But he just called me right now asking after I called the cops. That's why I was like, "Are you guys following him?" >> But I think I just saw him go back that way. >> Go that way. I didn't see an escalated uh van, I think, parked on the side of the street. So, what happened? He was just accusing you of you talking to somebody else. >> Yeah. Just because um whenever we broke up like 2 years ago. >> Oh, this is from 2 years ago. >> So, he left as soon as they called or you called? No, I called my mom to call because I didn't want him to cuz he was already telling me if you um call any of your family to come help you or anything, >> he's like that it's like going to be bad or whatever. So, I told as soon as he I don't know where he went right now, but he said uh he didn't tell me where he was going either. >> And >> but I called my mom right away to call and then um >> just like a few minutes ago. >> Yeah, like literally 5 minutes. After a while, the said boyfriend arrived on the scene and spoke to the officer, but things took a turn for the worse. >> Hey, sir. Can I talk to you real quick? >> Yeah. What's going on? >> Um, so we got a call. You and your girl were having issues. >> No. What's going on? >> No. >> No. Under arrest? >> No. >> No, no, no. I'm just investigating a domestic a possible domestic. >> Okay. I appre I would rather not talk to you, sir. >> Okay. Well, you're going to have to talk to me or you going to have to talk to my partner. One of the two. >> Can you please bring a supervisor cuz there's nothing going on around here. Okay, that's fine. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. I get her side of the story. I get yours and then we'll go from there. >> There's nothing to do. There's nothing. >> Okay. >> So, >> you She said that you started arguing over her you accusing her of something that happened to you. >> I got my phone. >> Yeah. >> That needs to be addressed. So, I or I just rather not talk about it cuz I'm I'm just >> Well, I have to I have to investigate it. >> So, am I under arrest? >> No. >> Okay. Then I can I go inside, please? >> No, you cannot go inside. >> Am I under arrest? No, you're not >> under. >> But I have to investigate what's going on first. I was talking >> I can give you my information and I >> Okay. >> What the No, this is my home. She's not allowed in my home. >> Hey, what the >> Listen to me. >> Hey, >> if you don't listen to me, I'm going to I'm going to detain you for a minute and you figure this out. You got it? >> What do you want to do? >> She's not allowed in my home. She's not allowed. She Wait. First of all, she needs to get out of my home. >> Okay. Put your hand back. >> No. Put your hand out in my home. Okay, get out your back. Hey, >> don't move. >> Hey, hey, drop your keys. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. What are you doing? >> I'm not under arrest. I'm not a crime. Amy, ARE YOU What the I was RECORDING, DOG. YOU I AM NOT COMMITTED TO CRIME. You don't need to get a What THE Bro Amy. Dog. Amy. Amy, what are you doing this for? Manny, >> lay flat. >> Keeping on my house, G. >> Lay flat. >> Hey, Manny. >> Lay flat. Manny. Manny. >> Hey there, dog. >> Don't believe nothing, bro. Why are you guys here? Amy, how could you do this [ __ ] We are just good. >> Any knives on you? >> Y'all need to get off of me. >> Any knives on you? >> No one's getting crazy. Why are you all getting on me like that? >> Any knives on you? Any knives and gun? >> What the? >> You going to answer my questions or no? >> I need to talk to my lawyer. The agitation continued as the suspect tried to resist arrest even while in cuffs. >> Y'all need to get off of me, bro. >> What the? This is my home, Amy. How are you going to do this at my home? >> Hey, man. You see that that mom right there, dog? >> How long have you known me, bro? In this neighborhood taking care of my family. They haven't been welcomed around. And look it, she's just laying her in my house right now, dog. She never been over here, dog. >> What the movie? It's so shady, dog. You don't know the I've been through G this past two years, dog. I have court in like two, three days because of Bro, I just left. I took off to get beers right now and cigarettes. You need to give me my glasses. Y'all broke my Get OFF ME. >> GET OFF ME. >> Stop moving then, >> bro. I'm handcuffed. >> LISTEN TO ME. >> I'M HANDCUFFED. STOP MOVING. >> STOP. >> How are you doing that while I'm >> Stop moving? >> Hey, no, my glasses. I need to see. My glasses are on the floor. My glasses, bro. GIVE ME MY GLASSES. Give me my glasses, please. >> Just give me my I'm calm. >> I want my glasses. I can't see, bro. >> Take a seat. >> Why? Why is that? >> Take a seat. Get in. Get in the car. Sit down. You know what I got? Sit down. That lady's not allowed in my home. Okay, put your feet in there. >> Give me my glasses. Let me have my glasses, bro. >> Give me my glasses in there. I'll give you your glasses. >> I want to talk to my lawyer, too, dog. >> Put your feet in.
