majority of citizens of Daytona Beach

that his street sweeper being carjacked

that is until this very scenario became
his shocking reality he was approached
by an armed man hit over the head with
what he believed to be a pistol and
robbed of his wallet in the street
sweeper pickup truck needless to say
June 13th of 2022 was off to an insane
start and the resulting roller coaster
ride in the hours that followed would be
even crazier the traumatized operator of
the street sweeper immediately placed
his 9-1-1 call to report the offenses
and police rapidly sprung into action

sweeper and it's soon located however it
seems the suspect has left Daytona
located in Volusia County and headed
north into Flagler County as well it
appears he's abandoned the vehicle on a
residential street corner

and the apprehension would prove to be
much more challenging than they'd

things the alleged assailant has just

confused earlier in order to detain
someone law enforcement must have
Reasonable Suspicion meaning that they
suspect that they were are or will be
involved in criminal activity matching
the description of a suspect along with
the proximity of Caleb's home to the
stolen vehicle was Reasonable Suspicion
to detain him however detentions can
only last as long as it takes to
determine whether the suspect has
committed a crime and generally ends one
of two ways either they will be told
they are free to go or arrested let's
return to the back of the squad car
where he's been patiently seated all the
while hearing the play-by-play of events
over the radio

Sterling Orlando Davis Jones as a result
of the Havoc he read to that June
morning Sterling was booked into the
Flagler County Jail on multiple felony
charges Daytona Beach police department
will be handling the investigation
