it's a dangerous job enough just to be working on the side of the road but having people travel at a speed that's above the posted speed limit that's really what's dangerous so when you cross these two giant signs that are as big as the wind Sam Sam loved me doing that when you cross between these you have to be going a limit of 35 mph all right so in the very beginning of this video I stand there I do my van white thing next to the big giant 35 mph signs uh Sam the cameraman came from TV news and they love props so when we drove by those 35 mph signs he saw them and said hey man we we got to stop and get a video of that so um so we started with me doing my my best v a white impression uh showing the giant signs that people were going to drive past before they got to where I was sitting on that day 56 and tined windshield I noticed it right away oh really what's up man what's up how you doing I didn't do nothing that's actually you have to say you didn't do nothing you did something let me see your driver's license feel me mom come I'm getting harassed don't touch my car getting harassed what did I do I wasn't nice man I forgot he had a man bun you know do you know what let me see your driver's license I'm not going to ask you again or I'm going to put my hands on you let me see your driver's license dad can you come here I have it stop just give me my there we go so posted speed limit um well you're you're in public so there's no expectation of privacy what a jerk no there's not there is not in public so you're in a so you're in a I ran a what I did I say run anything okay can you just talk instead of being like you're being rude I'm the one that's being that what have I've done that makes me rude uh you're uh nothing no answer see registration Cur proof insurance so I'm Deputy slope work for the panau county sheriff's office Traffic Unit the reason I stopped you is you were in a 35 mph construction zone at 55 mph with how many other cars I don't think I don't care how many other cars doesn't matter and then you also have a tin and windshield which is also illegal um so any see registration current proof Insurance please my I bought my car like no one cares bye okay you just like stop Hing over me like no I'm going to wait till my pents I wish he was so immature that okay I didn't realize that he was actually an adult oh man that's aggressive he's just he's such a little jerk that I figured he was like 16 17 I had no idea who if you're curious about what's wrong with Society it is absolutely everything about this stop right on that it is arrogant condescending attitude and Mom's are pretty quick hi this is my son okay this is my son I'm here to bail him out of trouble and not let him take responsibility for anything I and we're we're going back home to Gil okay he's he's speeding and he's going to get a ticket that's it touching my you're not you are not free to go get back in your car what a jerk St leaving I'm my you started touch you open my door oh my God okay it's just been a really bad day he he has a problem I will make this as quick as painless as possible however that that action I do deserves he repercussions okay along with the fact that he's 20 M hour over the posted speed limit okay so and saying that he hopes that my daughter dies that right there is unacceptable the kids J that's unacceptable under any circumstances ever so so if you could just kind of try to control him while I take care of some business here I sure would appreciate that thank you sir in this video probably the most offensive thing that this kid says is that something about like he wish my daughter died or something like that I don't have any kids like he wasn't he wasn't stabbing me with a dagger in the heart of like oh my God that's my daughter so it wasn't that um that I was so offended um by what he said but it was simply the fact that he would say that to anyone just from one human to another human that's a pretty it's pretty bad thing to say um so it just shows what a terrible human being he is um but it really didn't have any effect on me cuz I don't any kids I don't even have words I still don't have words this is like 2 years later new state return unbeli State return oh and he's suspended and he I've been P suspended which means it's criminal outstanding couldn't have happened to a nicer guy obviously he's had a he's had a bad day previous to to meeting me here but that kind of response and action is just absolutely unnecessary you hear me say that he's already having a bad day before he met me um what we didn't include in the video was my conversation with his parents uh where I found out that they had just learned that a very close family member had passed away and they were in route back to their house to try to figure out their lives so on this particular day this kid is extra emotional and obviously that's no excuse and and his everything that he did was inappropriate absolutely everything but um me booking him into jail only would have made it harder on his parents um and probably um might not have even made a difference to him because he's such a jerk he doesn't realize it but what I didn't want to do is make his parents have an even worse day than they were already having um so it wasn't really me showing Mercy on him because I don't care um but it was more about showing Mercy on their parents how old is he I was like oh right then I realized he's he's an adult and he's he's adult age um did you happen to see the 35 mph signs that were there no sir I thought it was5 okay they're they're big they're posted on the side of the road there on and I was paying attention to the road I get it your first citation is criminal in nature so it's a Class 2 misdemeanor for driving while your license is suspended revoked or canceled your second one is a work zone speed violation with workers present there's workers present here in this construction zone that's why it's here um and then fail to produce evidence of financial responsibility simply means that you didn't provide current proof of insurance as requested and then I asked for it you just I I asked you for it you didn't provide it I wait I was trying to find it I don't know I don't know where all the stuff is well maybe you should know cuz you're an adult the fact of the matter is is is but I asked him law I asked him once okay I don't have to ask a whole bunch of times I simply asked for the for the information that's requested and it wasn't provided this is there's no big deal for this there's no points on his license as a result of it um because there's so many uninsured drivers in the state of Arizona we make it very easy for us to take care of it but we also document it when we see it all you have to do is show that on today's date and time um that the citation was issued that that uh insurance was in place and they dismissed the citation there's no fine and that's per state statute um and the other thing is having improper material on your windows and or windshield obviously having any sort of tint on your windshields illegal um and when you drove by I couldn't see I had no idea how many people were in here cuz it was all black cuz it's uh it's illegally tinted um we there's no stipulation in Arizona state law for transfer of a vehicle fact of the matter is is that there's a material on the window every year there's hundreds of people are struck or killed on the side of the road uh that are just working and they're just there they're doing their job they're working and you know and someone that that disobeys all this signage um goes through and does something stupid and changes someone's life again this is kind of a PSA uh Sheriff's Office doesn't do PSAs what they do is fries with Frank which is half entertainment the other half is educational um so we're trying to get people to not speed in construction zones um this happened it drew a lot of attention because this kid's a jerk it should also draw attention to the fact that you shouldn't speed in constru C zones CU those guys are out there working hard and uh and it's it's dangerous for them so um that was this one this is one of the most popular episodes that we've had um hope that you like the background hope you know a little bit more about it and uh we're
