the reason that I stopped you is your plates are both expired and suspended so uh this is my sister's girlfriend's car so your sister's girlfriend's car okay well your sister's girlfriend has set you up for and another plate bites the dust in Arizona we have what's called a mandatory Insurance suspension or an MI suspension um if you get a ticket for not having current proof insurance or your insurance laps or cancels um the motor vehicle division will put a suspension on your license plate um has nothing to do with the registration so you can have valid registration and still have a suspension um and when that plate is suspended what we do is we take that plate off of the back of a car then what it does is it forces that driver to go to MVD then they have to show current proof insurance and then they get a new plate back
