I need water. >> All right, internet. I'm Frank Slope. I'm a 24-year veteran of a sheriff's office here in Arizona. Today, we're going to be doing some body cam breakdown. Body Cam Edition is the channel where this video came from, and it looks like it's going to be great. Sam really likes it. We're going to be doing some body cam bingo while we're [cheering] checking it out. We're using Card Two today. We sell them in a five card set. You can find those on our website. Card two is the card. We're going to see how it does today. >> Airport officers were dispatched in response to an aircraft returning to the terminal due to a disruptive passenger. >> Oh, all the way to the back. >> Hello. >> Hi. Um, >> what's your name? >> My name's Officer Smith. I'm with Nashville Airport Police. Um, >> Nashville. >> Damn it. They want you off of their aircraft. >> Why is that? I I don't know. They just said that you were refusing to get off their aircraft after they asked you to get off. >> Right. They didn't give me a reason why I needed to get off. They don't have to. >> They were going to talk to me outside as if they didn't want me to. They didn't inform me why they were going to um Hold on. Let me catch my breath. I'm like I don't understand why there's so many people like on top of me. >> Have you had anything to drink today? >> No. I was looking for water. They didn't give me water. They told me that the plane was delayed. I just want water. >> Okay. said, "Have you had any alcohol today?" >> No, I'm on a satical. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, do you mind stepping off the aircraft and they can talk? >> My name is Officer Smith. Yes. >> I'm sorry. >> You see, I think it's important that people call you by your first name. >> You can call me by my first name. That's fine. >> Thank you. >> Do you mind stepping off the aircraft? We can figure out what's going on. >> Let me know. I'm going home, so I need to know why I'm getting off the plane. >> So, they're a private company. They're allowed to refuse you service on their aircraft. So >> anytime a private company like a business they're a business so they're gives you service. >> So if you look through the constitution which I I have occasionally um nowhere in there does it say that you have a right to fly on an airplane. It's not a right. It's a privilege just like driving a car. You don't have a right to drive a car. You have a right to travel and you can travel on your own two feet just walking around. But you start getting into some sort of conveyance like a truck or a bus or a car or a plane, there are rules that go along with that. And at any time the owner can say, "No, we don't want you on here." And that's kind of what happened here. She made enough of a disturbance where the airline carrier said, "You know what? We'd rather you not fly with us." So, and they can do that. They can refuse service just like any other private business can. So that's what happened here. She her service has been refused. She no longer had the privilege to fly. So she's got to go >> like >> Okay. So if you do not get off the plane, we are going to deboard the entire plane and we will pull you off of the plane. >> You're going to pull the I have to set my intention and I have to breathe. >> Wow. >> Stay calm. Stay calm. This is what happens when you don't say no to your kids. >> I don't know what's going on. Like I said, they didn't tell me what the problem is. >> So, if you will get up and just walk off, then we can deal with it. >> Okay. What is the reason why I'm getting off the plane? >> They're a private company and they're allowed to deny you service on their airline. >> Okay. Can I get the reason why they are denying you service? >> They don't have to have a reason. >> So, they can just throw me off? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Pretty much. >> Are you serious? >> Yep. They're a private company. They're a private company. Any private company can do that. Yep. >> Yeah. I'm getting like >> you could you could walk into Walmart and they have they could say, "No, we don't want you to shop here cuz they're a private business." >> Just like your personal safety, you should also be concerned with your online security. That comes out to just $2.3 per month. >> I'll just keep coloring. Ma'am, you need to stay the plane or every single person's going to get off of this plane. You and we will deal with you. >> So, I understand why you might be saying to yourself, "Why would you deport the plane for just one person?" But admittedly, she's a big girl. If she starts to physically fight with three officers in an aisle that's this wide, someone some innocent bystander is going to get hurt. if there's a kid there, a woman, someone elderly, someone disabled, um someone's going to get hurt just the way that bodies move in a physical altercation. So, it is it's almost a requirement that the airplane get totally deorted simply just to ensure the safety of the passengers, which obviously the airline is responsible for. So, even though it seems like kind of a a a gross exaggeration of of a requirement, it makes sense when you think about it, you know, in in terms of liability. >> You're going to deal with me if I don't get off the plane? >> Yeah. >> You're going to deal with me? What does that mean? Like, you're going to me, you're going to like deport me? Like, my family is from Portugal. Like, that's not okay. >> I have no reason to. >> I'm a US citizen and I'm white or maybe I'm black. I don't know. But this is just a tattoo. See, I am human, too. Okay, mic drop. >> I'm going to be the first female. Can we deboard the plane, please? >> Now the plane revolts. I could not live with myself being so selfish to put my needs in front of the needs of all of those people on that plane to inconvenience everyone and delay everyone. I mean easily over a hundred people on that plane that you would inconvenience by forcing everyone to get off just because you want to throw a temper tantrum. I I couldn't I I don't even understand that level of selfishness. I can't even I can't even conceive it. It is It is It is so reprehensible. >> Did she drop the race card? >> She dropped off the race card. >> I'm not doing this with a plane full of people. quiet manner. But the only option we have coming before us, if we can't get the lady to help us move on, we're going to hopefully keep playing AND GET OUT. SO >> THIS IS my four This IS MY FOURTH RESCHEDULED PLAY. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS. Get out. Hotel 5 still shows door unlocked. May I reseure it or do you still need it open? >> What are you doing? >> Throwing a temper tantrum. cuz there's no reason. Nobody told me. >> Hey, starting from the front, start walking off the aircraft. >> I love it. >> Can you just want to have her sit back down? I love that people are yelling at her to get off. >> You got to get off. >> Let's go. Just a second. >> All right. Here we go. Just go. Just go off and we'll talk. Okay. This is super easy. It's so easy. Just step off and we'll just talk about it. Okay. >> Why are we stepping off? >> Cuz they don't want you on this aircraft. >> They don't want me on this. >> Let's just talk about it. >> Being tall. Because I'm white because I'm black. >> Let's go talk about it. >> I am human, too. >> I say that's a race card. >> I'm Barack Obama. >> Tony Robbins. >> Hey, I'm being polite. I like Tony Robbins. >> Play is important. >> Let's just get out there. Everyone on this plane, remember, I will be the first US female president in the United States of the South. >> I don't think you're going to be. >> All right, just go talk about there. >> I'm sorry. Um, can you call somebody? >> Yeah, we can get my supervisor down here and all that. >> I need I need to >> go supervisor request. >> Go with that. >> We can go ahead and talk to him. Okay, come on. >> There we go. Metro here on camera. >> I'm here with you. Okay. >> What is wrong with you? >> Please. >> Come on. >> I mean, I'm also thirsty, but that's the key. >> Let's get you outside and we'll get some water. >> Can you help me spray? >> I'll help you. Okay. >> Australia. Okay. I'll help you. >> I can't wait to go back. I want to go back this year. Let's go this way. >> I'd love to get mine. My name is garden. >> Okay, come down here. She's acting more erratically. >> Her name is garden. >> Okay, almost got her. >> All right, come on. >> Everyone's like, "Thank you [music] so much. Getting that crazy lady off my plane." >> She's on the aircraft. will be underway as soon as we can get everybody back. Thank you. Got it. >> Okay. You want 105 or what's wrong? Well, this happened in 2022, so she must not have made the ballot in 24. >> Here, we'll get you a water. >> Okay. >> I bet she's going to drink a lot of water. >> Yeah, >> I've been in that airport. I really like it. >> Just come sit down and we'll talk. >> I think it's easier when we're walking. Can we walk it? >> No, let's have a sit. Let's have a seat. >> Okay. Can I talk to my >> Stop. Stop. >> Why am I stopping? >> Put your hands on my back. There we go. >> Why are you resting me? Get on the ground right now. [screaming] >> Get the helicopter. >> Give me your arm now. >> We're at 104. be at 10:15. Lock your cuffs out. >> Jesus Christ. [laughter] >> So, this is a big girl. Uh, this was not a long fight and it was not there wasn't a lot of of physical activity. You know, it wasn't a long fight. It wasn't it didn't, you know, precede a foot pursuit or anything like that. But a physical altercation with the adrenaline dump that you get during it um will still tire you out. until you could hear these officers are breathing a little bit heavy. Um, some of that is just adrenaline of all of a sudden being, you know, in a physical altercation, her pulling away, squaring up, going hands- on, going to the ground. Um, so it may not seem like a big deal, but don't forget all these officers are doing this in a full uniform and vest and belt and boots and pants and everything that's, you know, that is part of a uniform and all of the gear that we carry. Um, it's it definitely takes it out of you more than you would think. >> I can get enough. >> Sit down. >> Whoa. >> I'm sorry. I'm not going. >> So, I just wanted to talk to my husband and I asked for water. >> Please close your dress. >> Let me close your dress. >> You have a You have a husband. >> Let her stand up. >> I just want water. Can I stand up? >> Yeah. >> I can get up by myself. >> Stand up. Close your door. >> Is that a camera? >> Yes. >> That's cool. Where does it go? >> I don't understand your question. >> Like, who watches it? >> My department. >> The department of the airports. >> Yep. >> And the TSA of the United States. >> Not TSA. >> You're not the TSA. You're the police. >> Okay. So, we're going to walk downstairs. We're going to go to one of our patrol cars. >> Okay. I just have to breathe. Can I have water first, please? >> No. >> You're not going to get me water? >> No, ma'am. Not after the scene you just caused. We can have water later. >> What did I do? You just threw yourself on the ground. >> I sat down. >> You did not sit down. You undid your dress. You exposed yourself to everyone in the airport. It's hot. You're going to jail. You're being arrested. [laughter] >> Okay. >> I'm I'm I'm not going to >> I really like this officer a little bit. >> Just >> There may be a a percentage of mental illness that's playing a part in her actions, right? I think we can we can all agree that telling an entire plane load of people to remember you because you're going to be the next president or the first female president of the United States, I think that that that shows that there's some delusion. I think we can all agree with that. Um, so using kit gloves with a woman like this who is obviously psychologically going through an issue at this time, I understand that. And I think being being overly gracious towards that person and trying to be as kind as you can while still enforcing the law is something that these officers balanced absolutely perfectly. But at the same time, it's not an excuse for inconveniencing an entire plane load of people and tearing off your clothes in an airport and screaming that you need water. I mean those are those are things that I wouldn't expect of a child no less an adult mental illness or issue or psychological issue or not. So there's got to be a balance between understanding and being even though I'm not a lot being empathetic um towards someone's issues that they're going through at the time and still needing to maintain law and order. Um, so and I I think I absolutely have to hand it to these these Nashville uh airport police department officers because they I think they did a great job in uh in balancing it perfectly. >> Can I call you Jeff? >> Yeah. What's your name? >> Sarah. >> Okay, Sarah. Hello, Sarah. Try to calm down. Okay. >> Can I have some water? I have a bottle. I just can't fill it up. >> I just want water. >> HOLD THAT DOOR. >> WATER. WATER. [screaming] ARE HEADING back toward. >> I NEED WATER. [screaming] >> NO, >> YOU'LL GET WATER LATER. LET'S GO. >> YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GIVE ME WATER. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? >> Let's go. >> Walk down the stairs now. Walk down the stairs. >> This is so great. She acts like she's in the Sahara. Mouth's so dry. >> Um, maybe a couple hours ago. Why don't you try and walk to the turtle? Attention producers like I will just park next to these planes. No big deal. I hope the people on that plane is the plane she just got off of and they're looking at her like, "Bye bye, Felicia. There's like a lot of cops there. Can I have some water? >> No, >> I'm just dehydrated. It's hot and I need water. You won't give me any water. >> I'll get straight, but you need to cooperate. >> I'll cooperate when I get water. No. >> You think you understand how the rules of this game go? >> No, it doesn't make any sense. >> Spread your legs. No, we haven't even got one. Turn around. Okay. >> Pat down. >> Walk this way. >> Yes. >> What's your first name? >> Sergeant. >> Sergeant. Sergeant. >> I'm Paul. You are to the other side. Hey, can I get some water? >> You'll get water. >> I know. My mouth's so dry. It's hard to talk. Okay, >> then. Don't talk. >> Your mouth might not be so dry. >> There we go. >> I can I can >> No, you can't. >> We're getting you water. >> So, did you only take Delta 8 or did you take something else? >> No. and you haven't had any alcohol today. >> So, as a drug recognition expert, I've dealt with people under the influence of delta 8. Um, delta 8 refers to just like delta 9, THC or tetrahydrokinabonol. It is a derivative of cannabis. It's a cannabonoid. Um, it's marketed as as a a milder version. Um, so you supposedly don't get the same psychoactive effects um that you do from from can from a normal cannabis high. Um, but that's why you would you would see this um in someone that the drug is psychoactive in and who is who is actively impaired. So, what she's going through may not necessarily be anything that's um psychiatric, but could just be the fact that she's high and she's under the influence of a drug that she took. Um, so this this may not be anything that's mental illness as much as it is the effects of seeing someone who's impaired. >> I'm on satical since May 5th of 2022, months ago. So, I'm not >> Okay. Can I call my husband? >> You can call your husband at booking. >> At where? >> At booking. >> When we get there? >> Yes. >> She's married to someone. >> That poor soul. >> Probably not. >> Definitely not. >> Well, they're not. >> Complains about handcuffs. I'm going to get a bingo diagonal on that one. >> Boom. I didn't think we were going to make it. So I can't take your cuffs off. But >> I mean Yeah. >> Yeah. >> I need more water yourself on accident. >> Drank the whole bottle. Very thirsty. So I work in the desert and it is incredibly common for people who we arrest to ask for water. The majority of us carry coolers in our cars. Um I used to work in a very remote portion of the county. I carried more water than I would need um just because you run into people that are stuck on the side of the road. You run into people who are walking, you know, whatever it may be. People that have been outside in the elements for an extended period of time and you give them water. Totally normal. Lots of departments do it. especially departments that um you know like like where I work in where it gets hot like surface of the sun hot but this is outlandish like you're you're inside it's airond conditioned it's climate controlled and you're screaming that you want water like that it the officer that gave her that entire bottle of water was unbelievably kind because good behavior should be rewarded and poor behavior should not be rewarded. And that was pretty poor behavior. So I uh I I I take my hat I tip my hat to you officer because you did you did something good that other officers might not do based on um on on what preceded that. So nice job. >> You ever feel like you're living in a dream? This is what I feel like right now. >> Maybe you shouldn't. >> You didn't get arrested for asking for water. >> Yeah. for screaming in the middle of the airport, taking your dress off, and resisting arrest. >> You were screaming? >> Okay. What's a good phone number for you? Hoffman, come here. What do you do for work? >> Um, you mean like >> get in the car and learn something? >> I love this officer. I love this officer. >> She's great. >> What's your job? >> I don't have jobs. >> Okay. with you though. >> Okay. >> But you can do drugs. >> What do you need to come with you? >> Can I have water first? >> You can have water once you get inside. >> Okay. What did you say? >> You can take one bag with you. >> Okay. Just one out of the three. >> Yes. >> Okay. Can you unlock me from here? Or you you want me to tell you which one? >> I need you to tell me which one. >> Um let me think. Let me see. So, we have I'm trying to remember what I have in the car. I'm sorry. It's so hard to remember when um >> you're high. when you don't have water. I'm going to >> You're high as a giraffe neck. >> Okay, go to the other side and unbuckle our seat belt. >> I like your watch. Although I'm I'm um I'm not an Apple user. I think that they're like >> a better >> That's a thing. It happens. >> Hi. >> So, >> I'll have you step out for me, Sarah. >> I fly quite a bit. I spent a lot of time in airports. Um yeah, I go back east to see my dad. I go to Florida quite a bit fishing and I always have a layover somewhere. I couldn't imagine I've I have had a layover in this airport in the Nashville airport. I couldn't imagine being in a city where I have no resources, no friends, don't know anyone and act so poorly while visiting that city that law enforcement gets involved and then I get booked into jail. I mean, what a what a terrible sequence of events that you put herself in and having to I mean, when she gets out, she's got a bag and she's in Nashville. Like, she's got to Uber to the airport and then pay out the nose for a same day ticket. I It's I mean, it logistically it is terrible. I I wouldn't want to be in her shoes. I mean, even though we might have the same shoe size. >> Okay. He's going to take a minute cuz I'm tall. >> I know you're tall. >> Yeah. Grab her blue backpack. >> Water. >> You'll get water inside. >> You drank a whole bottle of water. >> Hold on. I feel like I'm like moving slow. >> Like I'm fatigued, like emotionally exhausted. You know that I do research on burnout. >> Uh yeah, you said that. >> Oh, I did? >> Mhm. >> Nice. Yeah. I want to end burnout and I want to end mental illness and I want to have real world peace. >> Okay. >> And I want a a Nobel Peace Prize. >> We're going to walk to >> and to be the president. >> Come on. >> I was saying hi. >> Hi. >> I'm sure you guys will get some time to talk. >> You two. >> Come on. You can fix it inside. No. >> We're almost there. >> We're just going to that door. That's a big sally port. That is Put some vehicles in there. I like it. So, my hair is in my mouth. Can you take it out? I feel my mouth. My mouth is so dry. >> Thank you. I appreciate you. I will be eternally grateful for you >> for all eternity.
