from rescuing a man who was manhandled by his supposedly perfect wife over baseless suspicions that he was having an affair. >> She punched me in my mouth, bro. Punched me in my I had my back swall face, but she punched me. She's mad because we had a party. My brother came and we invited all my friends. All my family came and my best friend came. She's a female. >> I never touched him. >> He was trying to say that he got smacked and that's what happened. No, he had his lit and that's Yes. >> to Gazelle who decided to assault officers for interfering after she went physical on her husband. >> What's going on? >> Have a seat for me. >> She's punching me. >> Here are moments when cops save men from their abusive wives. Starting with this woman who was convinced that playing the victim could save her after she had assaulted her husband. grabs a pop and I got my back to her. She danced all over me and like scratches me. >> Believe me, I've had a protect. There is video of him dragging me across the street. I'm not. >> On July the 22nd, 2025 in Ohio, dispatch responded to a home after receiving a call from a woman reporting that her husband was being aggressive. They arrived and started questioning the woman, hoping to piece together what had happened between them. >> Hey, Carl. >> Hi. I don't know if you remember me or not. >> Yes, I do. >> Okay, awesome. Let's go. >> I had surgery. I just got home today. >> Are you all right? >> No, my husband's literally been pushing the doors so I can't enter. >> And then he's he's scratched his face when I called you guys because he was standing over top of me and he was going to grab me and I said, "If you grab me, I'm going to scream." And I called you guys as soon as he left the room and he went in the bathroom and scratched his face. >> Where's he at now? He left as soon as I as soon as he seen they heard that I aisles on the phone with you guys, he left. >> Yeah. Do you need to go to the hospital? Do you >> No, I'm okay. I don't have like any It's not It's not coming out my bandages or anything. I'm okay. >> Okay. >> Physically, I'm okay, but he's I'm scared. >> You just don't want him back here type of situation or >> Yeah. Like I have I already had protection order and I've been threatened to go missing here and he told me that there was a detective that told him to come home. So, I dropped the protection order >> and then all this. So, I I I I don't know. I don't know how to reopen the >> Okay. >> the the protection order. >> You'll go back to 95 East Main Street. >> What's Okay. Where is that? The >> the courthouse. >> The courthouse that I had a previous >> and they'll reopen it. Thank you. Okay. I'm okay. It's just I don't know what to do if he comes back. >> Gotcha. You call us. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Do you want me to like He All I know is the mercury of the black window. >> He scratched his own face >> with his hands or what? I don't know. He came out and he said, "I'm I have blood on my face that you and it was while I was on the phone and he said, "I'm a because of you." I said, "No, you I told her I said he just came out of the bathroom." He said he's he's bleeding. He scratched his face and he said, "No, that was you." Okay. And I literally like I He said that I relapsed because I was given medication. He said I'm a because I had surgery and I accepted medication. He said that I relapsed cuz I'm a I'm a recovering addict. >> Yeah. >> And I didn't. Yeah. I have that medication in my system, but there's nothing else except what the hospital gates. So that was what the argument was about was >> No, it's about it's about his his phone. His phone has like encrypted and like has things like illegal things on it. >> Okay. >> And when I ask him about it, he does this. This is how he reacts. He starts cutting the electric, unplugging the Wi-Fi, making sure that I had no like way to watch TV, no way to relax. >> Um and then he's turning the electric off. >> Like just doing threatening things and then pushing the door so I cannot enter. I had today or you did that at open door >> today. And when I went to pour me some juice, he snatched the juice. >> Okay. >> I'm like, >> so I don't and my my mom my spiritual mom and dad from open door just called. So I called them to try to go somewhere safe, but since he's gone, I'm okay. And I have people that I can call too. >> So you just want to stay here? Yeah. Okay. He comes back and call me. >> I will. Thank you so much. You're amazing. Thank you. >> Is your dog okay? >> Yeah. He's just He doesn't like when things like this happen. >> Yeah. As long as everybody's okay. Okay. You think someone's going to get taken away from him? >> Gotcha. Okay. I'll do patrols and make sure if he comes back you call >> no problem. >> You're very kind. No problem. >> Thank you. I appreciate you. >> Yeah. These bugs eat in my face. >> There's going to be a report, right? You can use this and take it into the ground. >> Yeah. It's going to be a CFS report. Good luck. Mhm. >> Carla believed that she was one step ahead of everyone. After allegedly assaulting her husband, she wasted no time calling the police and presenting herself as the victim. Somehow she believed the plan was foolproof. If everything went her way, the officers would focus their attention on her husband while she walked away without facing any scrutiny. But as she worked to try and control the narrative, there was one thing she never anticipated. Her husband's next move. >> Oh, man. This is what she did to me. Standing fridge, poured pop all over me. And this this all started when she got back from the hospital from having her surgery. I came home, went picked her up, took her home, went to work, came back, and this all started. And I think it's because they giving her a recovery. >> Is she Is she impaired right now? >> Huh? >> Is she impaired right now? >> I I mean I don't I don't know what they gave her before she left. >> What did she get out? >> I'm standing at the front door. I mean, I even had video, like 20 minutes of video of me just standing at the front door and her screaming. >> Did you get that on video? >> I got a picture of it. >> Well, just walk me through what happened. So, she got home from the hospital. >> She got home. What time was that? >> Hospital. He called me at like 10:30, 10:15. I went picked her up >> this morning, I assume. >> Yeah. I went and picked her up from Medina. Everything was fine. I dropped her off, ate lunch, went worked for Seeds of Hope where I volunteer with Greg and Brenda Beard. She calls me this probably like 3:00 about some old old Facebook stuff. And I told her, I said, "Carla," I said, "That was before we even met." I said, "Just leave it alone. Let's move past this." I says, "What you want? You want to move past?" So he says, "I move past it." I said, "Quit bringing up old stuff." And she was like, "All right, I love you." D. And then as soon as I walked in the door and just started like all this Facebook, look at all these people. Look at all this. Look at all that. >> Stay with her. >> It's I said that's old stuff, Carla. I said that's prior before we even met. >> Well, there's all Who's this? Who's this? I said, "When you click on somebody's friend," I said, "if they have like a a photo gallery." I said, "It's going to scroll through the people that they know." Oh, no, they won't. No, they won't. I said, "Yeah, they will." So, I go stand at the front door minding my own business. She's standing there. And then she's going on, going on, going on, going on. I'm not saying nothing to her. I walk to the refrigerator to get something to drink. She grabs a pop and I got my back to her. She dumps it all over me and like scratches me. I got a can of bomb. Uh, no. Bottle pop. I said, "I'm done, Carlo." I said, "I'm leaving. I'm done." Said, "I don't want this no more." I said, "If I have to," I said, "I'm going to my end." And then I heard her on the phone as I'm walking out of the door. Oh, he went in the bathroom and scratched himself. >> That's what she I'm like, why would I scratch myself across the face? I said, I'm not I'm not petty like that. >> Show me your fingernail on this this one. You're just inside there. I just want just cuz she said I just want to uh rule out anything if I can. Um >> I'm just done with her. I don't I'm I'm done. I mean, if I have to call >> You're married, right? >> Yeah. If I I mean, I'll leave if I have to call you guys or have somebody there so I can get all my clothes so she don't destroy it. >> Are you uh going to write a statement out? What happened? >> Yeah. >> All right. Well, you might be able to get like an exparte. Well, >> that's what >> if she's going to get if she's going to get charged out of this. I still got to go over there. There's an officer out with it right now. Then it could be effective immediately as a temp a uh like a temporary protection order. As long as the charge is open. >> Okay. >> So, as long as there's a pending court case, there'll be a protection order if we charge her. In the meantime, that can set you up to get a uh more permanent protection order please. >> Well, I'm gonna go down there. So, if it's more comfortable for you, you can park down the block a little bit and then uh if you're going to be on Main Street, I'll know where to look for you and then I'll go talk to you. All right. >> I'll be down there. >> Here, just use mine. >> I'll see you down there. Yep. >> With new evidence in hand, the officers made their way back to Carla's house, prepared to confront her with information that threatened to unravel her entire story. But Carla had no intention of making things easy. >> So, another officer found him. He's over there at Bridge Speedway. Okay. >> And he is saying the story is that you were scratching his face pretty hard. >> It's on the It's on recording with you guys. I was I was on I was on the line with 911 as that happened. I just got out of surgery today. I'm not going to put my hands on him. I I'm not going to put my my my surgery. >> Can I see your hands? See my fingers? >> Yeah. You're shaking pretty bad. Are you sure you're okay? >> I'm scared of him. >> Scared. >> Yes, he does this. He always does this. He He's called my called him on my probation officer and said that he's not doing his job because he has not admitted me into a hospital or taken me to jail lately. >> Okay. because I've had in my system that are placed in my system for health risk >> or because I had a charge that got dismissed >> and my probation offic No one else is doing their job except for him. He's the only one that's doing right in this world. >> Gotcha. >> Everybody's to blame besides him. He reports false things. >> Yes, that sounds frustrating. I'm sorry. >> He like the reason why I've been in the mental hospital so many times is because of this. And I've already told him and I have the another a doctor. He was scared to send me home. the last hospital I was in. >> He wanted to keep me a couple extra days. I said, "No, I have to go home because it's gonna impact my car." >> So, I'm gonna have him come here and I'm gonna talk to him together. Yeah, >> I'm going to put you in the back of the cruiser. >> I think it's best to do it together where you can witness both of us. >> Okay. Come here. I'll put you in the cruiser. Okay. >> I'm going to go talk to him. Okay. >> Okay. >> You got nothing on you, right? Is >> nothing on your phone. >> There's my phone. Just a check. I'm sorry. Are you okay? >> I'm okay. Thank you. Okay. >> Okay. So, basically what the scratches on his face looks like you did it. >> I was on the I was on the phone with 911 as I was reporting and I said he's coming. He's in the bathroom. He's cutting his face. I just had surgery. I'm going Hey, look at him. I'm not going to attack him. I have the video where he dragged me across the street. He got caught by a state trooper. I've had a protection order against this man before. I've been threatened to go missing. The detective told him to come home and protect me. So, I dropped the protection order. >> How do you get a shirt wet? >> He's He does this. He does this. He'll He'll do things to make it look like it's me attacking him. And he was standing over me and I said, "If you grab me, I will scream." And then he left and I was able to call you guys. He was cutting the electric. He turned the electric off, but the electric box inside the house. When I went to get juice, he snatched it out of my hands. That's probably how he got juice on him. He snatched it. He won't let me eat. If I go to eat, he snatches. He sn I've been in the mental hospital so many times because this man I just had surgery. I'm in no way to attack somebody. I just had surgery. He's reported my probation officer for not doing his job. And Reinhardt is report. All he's done is support me in my recovery. This man is not supporting my recovery at all. My health or my mental health or my my my past addiction. Please believe me. I've had a protect. There is video of him dragging me across the street. I'm not Please believe me. I I was on the line. I said he's in the bathroom. He said that he scratched his face. I was on the line with the person as he did it. >> Okay, we have to go with the injury. Okay, >> I just got >> I know. >> My god. >> Go ahead and stand up for me. Okay. [clears throat] >> Oh my god. >> [laughter] >> Put your hands together so I don't hurry. >> That's ridiculous. What's today? >> When will I go to court? >> Tomorrow. >> Oh my god. I need a protection order. Please. >> You can see. >> Please help me. He tried but they dropped it. They would not. They would not enforce it. >> If you feel like you need a protection order, follow up at the courthouse. >> I do. I need it now. >> For a petition. >> I need it now. I've already had one. >> I need it now. I need it now. He's going to take everything I have in here. Please, guys, don't let him take anything of mine. Please. >> What? I don't have any control over that. That's >> Oh my god. He's He's doing this again. >> I am reporting him for this abuse. These are lies. He's It's a false. He's going to jail over this. It's a false. I was on the line when she when I said he was scratching his face. >> So, like I said, it's probable cause. >> I have proof. I called my spirit parents to try to come hit me. After all was said and done, Carla was charged with domestic battery. While many abusive partners target those capable of defending themselves, this woman allegedly believed that she could make her disabled partner's life a living nightmare because he was unable to fight back. >> I just keep getting these threats and threats and threats when things don't go her way. And I'm constantly getting these threats. I don't feel safe in my own home. I already had someone come here and punch me in the face and she brags about it. And who's to say you guys leave again and she has someone pull up and actually hurt you? >> On September the 30th, 2024, Akran police officers were dispatched to a quiet neighborhood in Ohio after a 911 call reported a heated [music] domestic dispute involving a man and his toxic girlfriend. When officers arrived, they discovered the man trembling in fear, hiding a distance away from their home to escape her rod. >> What's going on? >> So, is there a way we can up there a little bit? >> Sure. I seen you were limping. So I didn't >> Oh, I'm good. >> want to walk make her walk over. So I only came up here just cuz the fact she likes to run her mouth a lot and everything else. So I didn't want her interfering with our conversation. >> You live there? >> I lived next door from where he's sitting, the one that had the door open. So we we woke up this morning and we were doing fine, smiling, everything. And just out of nowhere, it just turned into a convers or argument. >> Ever since then, I just keep getting threats and all types of stuff to the point where I >> from my girlfriend. >> Okay. >> And we've had a schedule in the house. We basically put the kids in their room with the gate, baby gate, just give mommy and daddy some time and stuff. Even though they're not my kids, I clean them because their dad's locked up. He hasn't been there for him. So, I've been here. So, problem is I've had multiple trips. Her dad's been here a couple days ago and punched me in the face. I made a police report about it. >> They didn't do anything cuz there was no physical proof. Um, so there's a report on that. There's multiple reports on her brother. Uh, I just keep getting these threats and threats and threats when things don't go her way. And I'm to the point because her dad already put his hands on me that I'm not feeling safe. >> Yeah. >> In this house and they've removed her for threats before. >> How long guys been together? >> Uh almost 2 years now. >> Just recent or been a whole like history of >> These have all been recent. >> What's going on? That's all this stuff. >> So apparently she likes to run her mouth because certain days I like to have certain time to myself. So I put the kids in their room and let them have time. They got a TV. Well, had a TV. I took it down after the the argument and stuff because of my TV and everything. So, I didn't want to get that broken or anything. So, I just put it aside. So, everything draws up to the fact that she's always saying I'm treating her kids wrong. >> And I don't understand cuz last time I checked, I put them in their room behind a gate for their safety. I don't want them getting into things, trashing the house and all that other stuff. They were just out. kids. >> Uh Millia's almost two and the other one's going to be four. >> Okay. >> So, I never put my hands on her kids. Never put my hands on her. Um so, I don't I don't understand how I'm treating these kids like, >> right? >> I don't I don't get it. And it's always because when she don't get what she wants or she's in these attitudes, she just runs her mouth to anybody and everybody. And now I have all these people that she's supposedly saying that she's gonna pull up and everything that I don't for calling the cops and all types of stuff. Like I'm not a it's called I do [ __ ] the legal way. If it's not the legal way, I don't want part of it. >> Nothing physical. >> No. Okay. >> Just that. >> And I already Yeah. And I already told the landlord about all this that I would rather have her be removed with all these >> So you lived there first? >> No, we both got it together. >> Okay. >> But the problem is is now I'm constantly getting these threads. I don't feel safe in my own I already had someone come here and punch me in the face and she brags about me. >> That's correct. >> No, it was about three maybe four days ago. There's already a police report about me. >> Um, so I honestly don't know what's going on right now because like I said, I don't feel safe here and if I keep continuing to live here, she's going to just keep donating and all these people know where I live. So, >> you're afraid? Are you more afraid of like the people coming over than her? >> Pretty much. >> Yeah. >> At this point, the officers were beginning to notice a chilling pattern of escalating threats. Thankfully, the boyfriend had managed to call 911 and plead for help before her menacing words turned into action. >> So, now she's just in there letting the kids do whatever and everything else when there's a schedule. All because she's mad and she's just doing whatever wants. So, >> mostly mad because she feels like you're treating her kids different. >> Yeah. And it's weird. Like, I don't understand. >> Yeah. >> All because I put them behind a gate every once in a while and stuff to the point there's nothing wrong with that. >> Well, no. I mean, you're not doing anything else. >> They have beds. They have toys. They have a TV. They can speak to us because the door's not shut. >> Well, it sounds pretty good. >> Exactly. So, I don't know how I'm treating her kids like that. And I keep getting all of this stuff constantly. So I messaged the landlord because I looked it up and I sent the picture to him just to tell him just if he says anything, oh well that's not true type stuff. I even said yes or I even looked it up. It said yes. If someone is threatening your safety or breaking the law, you should call the police even if you have a lease. And then it says uh then they could proceed to the eviction proceedings to avoid liability. How long you lived here? >> I've lived here only almost on the ETH I think it' be two months >> and and constantly just because she don't get her way and I even explained it to you and you didn't see a problem with that. >> So I >> I don't >> I don't see the problem. >> I mean you live with her not you know what I mean? So that's the >> Exactly. So I I told the landlord straight out like I don't feel safe with her being here no more. The cops already removed her once and I thought when we came to our agreement after our sincere conversation, I bring her back, give her the key back, and and she wants to sit there and still threaten me, have her dad over here hitting me and I'm not going to tolerate it. There's only so much you can push someone to the edge. And I I don't want to do the illegal way. That's why I called you. And every time I call the cops, all she says, "Oh, you're just" and all this other stuff. Like, I'm getting sick of it. So cops told us to keep our distance until the cops are here and everything else. So I've just been in the drive and there's nowhere else I could really go. This is my only home. >> What um what are you interested I mean what would you like to see happen today? >> I would like to see her be moved. I mean >> Oh, can't really do that. The cops don't >> Well, I don't know what, but we can't really remove someone from their home unless we have a reason. >> I mean, I don't know what to do because even when you guys leave, she'll just keep doing it again and it's constant. >> Yeah. I mean, I I understand your dilemma. I do. >> Like, I'm I'm a disability person. You think I can defend myself? Right. >> He was telling me that he just feels he keeps getting threatened by his girl that they live together. U they don't have kids together, but she does and that's why he called. He's been keeping his distance. He's over here. I haven't got her signed if you want to go in there and find out what's going on with >> What's your name? >> What's her name? >> Adam. >> Adam. >> No. What's her name? >> Oh, do you know? Have you been here? >> Yes. She usually fight with her and her her kids and him. And last time I was here that she was getting all of her stuff and moving out. >> Yeah, she did move. >> I see. >> And then I tried to be civil. I tried to bring her back and communicate and try and work on the relationship. But here we are again with the threats. >> I asked him what he wanted to see done. He wanted the house. And I said, "Well, that's >> We have to have a good reason, which would be if she's arrested, but other than that, >> Right. Yeah. >> After hearing the boyfriend's account, the officers, following standard protocol, approached the girlfriend to hear her side of the story, hoping [music] to defuse the situation before it spiraled out of control. You >> all right? You want to tell me? >> It's just an argument. I don't know why he keep calling y over argument. It's just an argument. It's petty. I don't know why he keep calling you guys. Like, it's annoying. >> So, just verbal, nothing physical. >> It's just verbal. Nothing physical. I don't know why it's [ __ ] Cuz I threatened. Oh, okay. It didn't happen. I mean, what can I do? I'm a female. If you threaten to hit me or something, of course, I'mma threaten you with somebody. Like, I mean, I'm a female. But yeah, that's it. He's just calling you all petty stuff, basically. >> It's just an argument. >> So, you guys both He threatened you first and then you like physically first threatened to hit you? >> No, he never know. It's just like I said, it's an orification. Every relationship goes through it. So that's all there is to it. It was no hitting, no nothing like that. >> And he talking about I thought you was leaving. Like I'm on this week. I don't have to leave. He has a car. He can go somewhere for a couple hours or something. Like I don't drive. He does. So he has an option. I don't have no option. >> That's my best friend right now. You guys take some time, chill out. >> That's what I'm saying. Like he has a car. He can go drive somewhere and chill out or something. I don't have no option like that. I have a place right here. Like he has a whole car talking about I don't got to leave. Well, you can leave the situation for a little bit in your car and go drive somewhere and leave me alone. And and then he he wanted to get all mad about talking about you breaking the rules cuz I let my kids sit right here in my living room and watch my damn TV. >> What rules that that breaking? >> Oh, my kids got to be in their room and they can't come in here and watch TV. So he got all pissed about it too and that's when he ended up calling me cuz I said my kids don't have to be in their room or something. They're surrounding me. I said my kids are allowed to be around me right here on the ground sitting watching TV. >> Is his name on the lease as well? >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Both of our kids. That's why I said if you want to solve it, I mean he has an option. He has a car. He can go drive it for a couple hours. Leave me be. >> Yeah. Hang out here with the kids for a little bit. Pull off. It's dumb stuff. If you ask my opinion, like it's dumb. It's a waste of your guys' time and his like goofy for overall argument. Like, ain't nothing happened. Words was exchanged. Okay, words are going to be words as long as nothing happened. I mean, nothing was done. Nothing happened. So, um, do you care? I'm going to take some of your information out. >> Did you have traffic here? >> Um, >> for a few months now. For at least 3, four months. Oh, and that's nothing. Um, I'm sick of him hearing talking about I don't got to do that for him cuz they my kids and blah blah blah. Like, that's annoying. We're in a relationship together. It's supposed to be equal, not just make my kids feel unwanted and left out. Like, I'm not like that. If I'm in a relationship with you, it's going to be my kids, too, not just me. >> Yeah. Step up. >> All right. I I don't know what his story is. We kind of got here later. I know he stopped with the other officers. Um, typically like on channel one, they might be on channel two. >> The best for if someone takes off a little bit, everything cool down. Well, they always every time they come out, they talk about I got to leave. Like, no, he has a car. He couldn't go drive it and leave. Like, I have no car. I don't need to leave. >> I don't think I've been. >> That's why when that cop came last time, the cop was there. He was like, I thought she was moving or something. Cuz when he came last time, he was arguing everything. I mean, everything else. But I end up coming back. He thought, "Oh, I thought she was my kids got this place for us with my so I don't have to go nowhere." At first, [music] she admitted to threatening him, but then quickly tried to twist the narrative, attempting to get him kicked out of the house. However, the officer wasn't fooled, as he could see [music] right through her manipulative scheme. >> When he just made that smart comment, that pissed me off. I thought she was leaving. Like, I don't have to go nowhere. >> No, I mean, we can't make him leave either. >> That's what I'm saying. Like, >> um I mean, >> like at this point, it's just keep our distance. And that's why I said if you have a problem or something, you have a car, go drive in it. Do something. and get away from me cuz you know I don't have a car. So >> and then in the long term I mean if he doesn't want to if either one of you want to like willingly move somewhere else then I talk to the landlord you might have to wait until the lease is up but they they might be able to work something out. Um but I mean that'd be you know landlord issue. But yeah, our suggestion would be for him, hey, walk, drive, whatever, cool off. Uh, but just so you like we can't force either one to leave. So if he does like, no, I'm not leaving. >> Oh, that's gorgeous. >> Yeah, just try to stay away from each other, >> right? >> And if anything does start up a lot of times, just get out the phone, start. Obviously, if it's something, you know, you think you're danger, call us. But >> so I don't understand why he called y'all over a little ass argument over a threat or something like it's a little ass argument. Y'all wasting their time. They got better to do out here than come here over an argument. I mean come on. >> It's a petty ass argument. You got like four cops, three cops here. I mean four. It's not like we hit no one or nothing. >> Well, and we'd rather show up before anything actually happens, right? if we can maybe like figure out a solution before something does escalate to where you know hopefully that's you know not the case >> you know when you mad or something you just talk you out your ass right when you're mad oh yeah I'm I'm going to have someone beat your ass or something when you're mad of course you're mad you're heated at that moment but reality am I going to >> right come on talk to him and see what he's saying >> after assessing the situation and determining there was no immediate threat to either party the officers left hoping that the couple would settle their differences calmly. But it wasn't long before the officers received another call, putting them right back at the scene. >> So, she called this time. >> Called. >> So, she called this time. What's going on? >> We both called. >> You both called? What's going on? >> All I did was go in the bedroom. I told her I wanted to get some space uh uh in the bedroom. So, I started getting my things and she had her clothes in a tote that was mine. So, I dumped it out and everything else just cuz I want to put my belongings in. Well, she came out or started running her mouth and stuff and everything else and saying, "You can be ignorant all you want and blah blah blah." And then she threatened me again and I have it on record. >> You have it? >> I do. Why don't you go? Why would you do that? Why would you And then she says, "I have recording. >> Ain't nobody recording. >> Ain't nobody even recording anything. Dude, >> I'm on my phone. >> I'm on my phone. >> I wanted proof this time before I call. >> No, >> I told the sergeant that she was going to do it again. >> He pleases me, too. >> They got to come through me first. >> Knock your ass out. >> Okay. Keep threatening. >> I don't know why. Keep threatening me. It's not a threat. It's a promise, baby. >> That's not a promise. It's a threat. >> It's a promise. >> That's a threat. >> Okay. It's a threat. >> It's not a promise. It's a threat. >> Earlier today or a few days ago, I reported it, >> but there was no evidence. >> That's not going to happen. Watch. >> Okay. >> At the end, she said murder. >> Like, so now I have proof that she threat. >> You do. So, I know that we told you to take some time or anything. Was there anywhere that you could just drive for a little bit cuz you got the car and you could just go to a store or something just to cool off a little bit? >> Not really anything I can I need. I would like to just go in house and have peace, but I can't. >> See, I get that. But >> even the sergeant said that if I had a recording with proof of uh of threats and stuff that it would be handled. >> So, that's what he told me to do. That's what I >> Yep. And I got it. So once [clears throat] he's done talking, I'll talk with him and see where to go from there. >> I'm not going to keep living here with threats. >> I'm not. This is like six times that I called you out here for uh threats and all this other stuff and threatening me to have people come over and do it and everything else. Like I'm getting sick of it. >> No, I get that. Have you guys like I hate to say thought about separating at all? I didn't >> We did that at once. The cops told her to be removed last time, but I was trying to be a nice guy just to move her back and try to get over it and and it's just not working. >> So, are you guys like together right now or are you guys >> I don't know at this point. >> That's fair. >> I don't know at this point. And all she's going to do is just keep being ignorant if we're broken up living in the same house. >> Probably if that would be up to you if that's what you want to do and find somewhere else, you know, to like get it to stop. But like I get it's hard and like you love somebody. I understand that. But just for like your safety and stuff cuz you don't want to get threatened all the time. Well, here's the thing. The threats actually happen into physical abuse just like her dad. A few days ago, I had to record him because he put his hand through my window while I was sitting there. He just randomly came out and told his daughter that he was coming out to smoke. Instead, he came up here and punched me in the face. I mean, And who's to say you guys leave again and she has someone pull up and actually hurt me? >> That's true. >> I mean, I already have it with threats that she's going to have some over. And I mean, >> and it's happened before. >> He is recording of her threatening him. >> What? What' she say? >> Uh that she was going to knock him out and I'll have you. With this new video evidence, the [music] boyfriend now had undeniable proof that she had been threatening him. No longer was it his word against hers. And with that recording in hand, the officers were left with only one course of action. >> Need to turn around. >> Hi. Why >> I'm on him? >> Because he threatened me. Like I just said, he gaslighted me to go in the room and got my stuff. >> He's got it on recording and all we hear is you. We don't hear him >> because like I said, he threw my stuff on the ground. I gave my kids. He threw my stuff on the ground and he said >> and then he came in, threw my stuff on the ground and then that's when I started gaslighting me. >> I need to turn around. Face away from me. >> Can I have some coffee? I can't tell. >> When uh >> I was about to leave in a minute, too. >> Can I just leave the property? >> No, we we can't. Ohio's preferred arrest. So if we have proof of a domestic either mass language is threat or domestic violence which is physical, we have to arrest. >> We are going to add what led up to it. >> My sister thinking she pick them up. How long will I be in there for? I'm scared. >> Tomorrow. >> Yeah. >> I'm scared. >> Are you dead? >> Mom, are you >> No, I'm not. Face away from me. Face away from me. Put your hands above your head. Interace your fingers. Interace your fingers. Face away. Spread your feet above your head. Spread your feet out a little bit. Interace your fingers. I'll take this for you. >> Wow. Someone has to go in here with my kids. >> She'll be here. We're going to stay here. We're not going to leave right now. >> I'm going down with her until we get there. >> [screaming] >> Yeah, she's under arrest. >> It's DV. That's through the state. It's an arrest state. For arrest is on her way to get the bro. Can you give me all your dress? >> [crying] >> They need more diapers. >> This my first time. >> I'm scared of losing my kids. Am I want to lose them? >> Probably not. >> I'm scared. >> As long as your sister doesn't have any felonies or anything on her. >> She ain't that [ __ ] nothing. What's going on? >> You can talk to her. >> Why did I >> And he pressing charms. >> Wait, what happened? >> Because I don't throw my gas, throw myself on the ground where he can gaslight me and record him. And I don't threaten to him. So he recorded. >> You threatening my voice what? What would you be charged with? Like >> what's the like what like what would be the charge? >> Oh, it's a Mr. >> He said I should be out tomorrow. >> I don't know cuz I know I mean she have to I mean >> Ohio's prefer to rest. >> Huh? Ohio's prefer to rest with domestic incidents because if we don't do anything and then something escalates then >> even even if she just leave and come to her mother's house or her sister's house >> and that was when we were out here the first time that was the option. Hey, we can't make either one of you leave. That's the best bet because then nothing can happen. You won't be here. He won't be here. One or the other. You guys are separated. No one want to leave. But obviously the cops was out here the other day for a situation that happened with him and her and her dad. So clearly he is he's the problem. >> I was about to leave. >> If you guys were here the other day >> because he her dad did something to him because he how he treats her. >> Oh they like I don't hurt his >> listen and I mean I get it but yeah unfortunately he was recording. It's got her threatening him like our hands are tied. >> In the end, she was taken to jail and charged with abusing a disabled man was definitely cruel, but it pald in comparison to the actions of 36-year-old Nita Johnson, a serial abuser who took a swipe at her husband because she suspected that he was cheating on her. >> She punched me in my mouth, bro. Punched me in my back swalling face, but she punched me. She's mad because we had a party. My brother came and we invited all my friends. All my family came and my best friend came. She's a female. >> I never touched him. >> He was trying to say that that he got smacked and that's what happened. >> No, he had his lip and that's Yes. >> On December the 7th, 2024, officers with the Beachwood Police Department responded to a local hotel after receiving a call from Nathan who claims that he had been assaulted by his wife, later identified as Nita Johnson. Upon arriving at the scene, the officers made contact with Nathan, who appeared eager to explain what had happened. >> Hey, what's going on, >> man? She scrolling Facebook on my phone, bro. She punched me in my mouth, bro. In my mouth, bro. >> She went around and punched me in my mouth, bro. I did nothing to her, bro. >> All right. You want to step inside real quick since you got the phone with somebody? >> Yeah, my brother. He just called me, bro. He just left. >> Okay. You can verify, you know, you just that I didn't see him, but uh you see it. Can I take a look at >> Put your head down. Get your head in your lips or where it is. Right here on my lip. >> She hit me right there in my mouth. >> Okay. Fred, she punched me in my mouth, bro. Punched me in my back swing face, but she punched me. >> Do you have your ID with you? Do you need any medical attention or anything? medical attention, man. >> Okay. >> My baby's upstairs. She came up there. My brother-in-law and my sister-in-law is up there, bro. They laying in the bed. >> She like, "Get out." Yes. I didn't hit you. I didn't touch you. He wanted me to go. >> Nathan's injuries supported his claims, leaving little room to doubt that he had been physically assaulted. But while it was evident that an altercation had taken place, one critical question remained unanswered. [music] What could have made a supposed loving wife assault her husband in the presence of their toddler and family relations? >> I just started talking the same people from before. >> No, she was down. >> Last time she was down here. >> I just asked for his ID, but basically said she >> I was I was my my brother-in-law was up there, my sister-in-law, my my four-year-old son, and and my wife. >> Well, we all getting into it. What was she mad about? >> She's mad because we had a party. My brother came and we invited all my friends. All my family came and my best friend came. She's a female. It's my birthday. She wanted her to come. She like, "I'm grown. I'm not on none of that kids stuff. I I'm a I'm a grown woman. Invite her." They >> Everybody left. She got mad. >> Everybody left. That's when she got mad. She didn't do it while everybody was around. She waited for everybody to leave. She been saying, "I'mma kill you. Um, I'm I'mma blast your ass. Like, >> do you believe that she's gonna actually try to harm you? >> She punched me in love. >> Okay. Do you believe that she's actually try to >> She just [ __ ] But she's the real psycho, though. >> Who else is up there? >> My brother-in-law. >> Okay. They're twins. >> It doesn't hurt. She just punches right in my lips. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He looks like he took that mark. >> Take a picture real quick. >> I ain't lying. I never touched her. I was sitting my back turn the chair. Okay. >> She already got a case, but she put her hands on me all the time, bro. >> Okay. You say she's got a case right now. Has she ever been convicted >> in Vegas? I don't know. >> I don't know if she's been convicted in the past. She's had it in the past, too. I'm tired of her putting her hands on me, bro. Because the moment I do, I'm going to jail. >> Yeah. Yeah, for sure. >> You understand what I'm saying? >> And the people up there see what happened? >> Yeah. But they they up there together now. She hurry up and close the door. So, ain't no telling. You feel me? But all my peeps was just here, bro. I It's my birthday. All I want to do is have a good time. Black lady with the glasses. That's how you know I was there. It's a black lady at the front desk with glasses on, gray hair. We all just left her. We don't have no reason to lie. >> Man, never my sister was here. She's in the 618. >> I just came. I got a flight. I came here 3 days ago for my birthday. This is my I haven't been here in 4 years, bro. >> She We had a party. We had wings from Wingstop. I ordered 75 wings. You know, wine. We had a party, bro. We had >> And your boyfriend and girlfriend? We're wife and husband and wife. >> You're married. >> We're married and we got a four-year-old son together. She has two other children, two daughters. >> What's her name? >> Na. Bro, she socked the out of me, bro. >> I can tell. >> She sucked the out of me, bro. >> What was your name, bro? >> I hit my leg on the bed trying to get up. I hit my leg on the bed. When she hit me, I got up out of the chair and hit my leg on the bed, bro. No lie. Look at my leg. No lie. >> Let me see. >> No lie. >> That's it. And what happened? Why did she hit you? Like what happened? >> Because she was just talking, talking, talking and I'm like, "Yeah, whatever." ignoring her, bro. And I had my back turned and she was like, "Boom. You hit me in my lip, bro. Just punch me on my guns. My lip." >> After hearing Nathan's side of the story, [music] they decided that it was time to talk to Nita. But nothing could have prepared the officers for what she was about to tell them. >> Hey, what's up? How you doing? >> Are you na? >> You missed. >> Can you tell us what happened? He's gone here talking about a whole thing like >> he's he made up that I hit him. The police were already here before >> and >> yeah, I think like a couple hours ago. >> Yeah. No, it's been a couple hours. But he made up that I hit him. I was like, "You just going to lie like that?" I don't know. The officers were on the phone when he was calling 911 and I said, >> "You talking about this now?" >> Yeah. When he was on the phone, he said that I hit him. I was like, "Dude, I didn't hit you." The officer was like, "Just focus on me. Don't listen to what she's saying or whatever." And I'm like >> on the phone. >> The officers was like all the people who answered the phone. >> Yeah. The 911 call was like just just focus on me. I was like okay whatever. But like whatever you say if you going to make up a lie whatever like you can just go. The officers had told me not to come up here anyway. But I came up here like I was in the bed. I'm I'm laying down. >> Okay. >> Like it's it's no altercations, no nothing. So I don't know if you like did it purposely or whatever. >> We all got into it all like why would he do that? >> Well it was his birthday so everybody was for his birthday. Yeah. Okay. But I came from Nevada. Like me and him, we already like we have been into it before. But >> um I drove 29 hours to get away from him. >> Okay. >> And he came here and I really wanted to to make a a good birthday for him. But besides that, like I don't know if it's if he's doing this because I don't want to come home or whatever. >> You told me you weren't trying to go back to Nevada. >> Yeah. I don't want to go back. So I don't know cuz he he just kept saying, "You're done. you're done. You're going to be gone and all of that stuff. And I'm like just asking them like why? Like why? Just because you know we need to take some time for ourselves. Like why do we got to go through all this to be separated for a while? >> You know what I'm saying? But I never I never hit him. I don't know >> when he's telling you guys but I mean my sister is in here. >> Was there any other people in here who always happened? >> Yeah. My well they were laying down. Right. >> Who was in here? >> This just my sister and her boyfriend. And then I'm in the bed with my son. >> How old was your son? >> My son is four. >> Young. >> Yeah. So everybody was laying down. Um >> maybe Yeah. It was maybe 15 20 minutes at the most. Maybe before the other cops left. I came up. They told me, you know, um well, they told us, you know, it would be good that us to be separated. I told him, you know, like I think everything is good, >> but I didn't know that he was going that I was going to come upstairs and he was going to be on some other stuff like >> So you came up you came back up at >> I came I came back up >> and he was he was he was on >> he was on the phone he was on the phone. He had him get off the he was on the phone with um his best friend I think and maybe like I heard him get off the phone like 10 minutes and then he just he just was saying stuff >> just saying stuff and the call is 911 and he says yeah she just hit me over in that rang like this not the first time he lied. >> So if you didn't hit him who did >> nobody hit him >> nobody hit him. >> Nobody touched him. >> How did he get the injury in his knee or his leg? >> What injury? >> Because the officers just left. He when he he was on the phone with the the the officer or the lady or whatever and he said his mouth was >> I said, "Well, what did you do? Just bite your lip marking his lip?" >> I said, "What did you just bite your lip? I never touched him." >> He was trying to say that [music] he got smacked and that's what happened. >> No, he had his lip and I said, "Yes, I never touched him." >> So, do you know why he be >> Because he wants me to come home. He wants me to be back in trying to force me. I drove 29 hours to get away from him. You were trying to do something for his birthday, weren't you? >> Yeah, this was for him. This was for him. >> So, you drew 49 hours to get away from I've been here since the day after Thanksgiving and when he seen that I wasn't coming back. He flew out here 2 days ago. And I mean, I would love for it to be to be better, but it's not. We've been going through for 5 years. This not the first time he called the police on me over that I haven't done. Did he fall or something? I don't know what I don't know what he did. I He was in here most of the time. Was he in the room? >> Most of the He was here um before before he was outside. He did go outside, but this was before the cops came the first time. >> At this stage of the investigation, the officers were facing a familiar but frustrating dilemma. With two conflicting stories, the officers knew that they couldn't simply take either side at face value. Somewhere [snorts] between the accusations and denials lay the truth. I don't know if he did anything while he was downstairs. I don't know cuz I didn't see anything. >> And I said, "What'd you just do? Bite your lip?" >> Before he left us, right? >> Yeah. Before he left, I said, "What did you do? Just do bite your lip?" That was the only thing I just like. But it's as far as like look like >> Yeah. It was no altercation. Like I'm laying down in the in the bed with my son. They was laying down and I just I just let it be. I say, "Okay, well, do what you got to do. If you want to call officers, call the officers." But >> okay. You know, >> the only other thing that looks weird is this thing right here. Your shirt. Like somebody pulled your shirt right there. >> There's like something like right there. Is that just You know what I'm saying? Like >> No. We >> That ain't from nothing. >> No. How about that? >> What was that? >> On the ground right there. That was in the door. >> Somebody keychain. >> Keychain >> or something. >> Or a zipper. Huh. Maybe a zipper. >> Yeah, it looks like a zipper. Maybe a jacket. I don't know. >> Did you ever say that you were going to harm him? you were going to kill him. I don't know. >> He was saying something about a female friend of his that say a female friend was invited over >> through one of his guy friends. >> Okay. And I thought that, you know, I was doing him a big one by inviting her over. But it escalated into some other stuff on my behalf because this woman that I invited over >> has talked about me and called me insecure and, you know, um, degraded my name, >> you know, to him. And I'm his I'm his wife. and he never, you know, stood up for me or said anything as far as like me and him and what we've been through or any of that. So, it was just it's it's like now like I feel I feel kind of bad that I invited her over, you know. I thought that I was, you know, being the big person here, you know, cuz I just wanted him to have >> You had a whole attitude. >> Yeah. No, no, it wasn't just >> I had an attitude after the case. >> I'm talking about her. I don't know if she No, she was cool. Like I I hugged her. I was like, "Well, it was nice to meet you." And everything, but after she left, it was like he he his whole attitude changed. He flipped me over in a table and I just caught a a case down in Nevada. This is why I I drove 29 hours to get away from him because this is not what the I want to go. >> Did you Did you take care of that over there? >> Well, I I have to be court on December the 18th. He had no marks on him or anything. Look, I don't know. You probably can't even tell because of the color, but I got color in my hair. I had a [clears throat] braid missing here. I got a braid missing in the middle of my >> went down in Nevada. >> Yeah, in Nevada. But guess who got I ain't got in trouble for it. I don't He's a manipulator. He's a narcissist. He's a gas lighter. I've been going through this for several years. >> Any of any of my family can tell you this. >> Well, here's the thing. So, you got this room. >> Mhm. You let him in. >> Yeah, but it wasn't any of this. >> You could have. So, let me explain. Let me explain. So, when when you come over here, you flew all the way from Nevada to here, right? >> Mhm. >> Came into this room. >> No, no, no. I was staying I'm staying with my sister that's here. >> Okay. Your sister was just so everybody can come out, kick it, and just chill just for his birthday. >> Okay. >> When he walked up to the room, >> that was for his birthday though. had he had flown to the to the room like flown here, came to the room, >> he could have called the police if he didn't want to pay, >> but it wasn't like that. Everything it's always like that until he gets money in his pocket. >> When he got paid, >> everything changed. It's always like that. >> It sounds like he has some things that you need to work through with him. >> But he said, but he just said that he booked this flight to go back home. And I pray to God he did because I'm not going. He just trying and and I feel like this is just the spirit of God working for me because I was going to get on that road and go back with him. But this is God telling me I do not need to go back. So you're having some I am. But he knows everybody knows when he drinks. He even told me stories about when he's when he drunk when he was drinking one time and his ex-girlfriend he threw her in a fitting You know what I'm saying? So when he drinks and he start telling me stories like that, I start putting in my head like, "Dad, this crazy like if you didn't did that in your in your past relationship, like yeah, this part of me might never change with our relationship." Like I'm just going to continuously keep on going through the the same emotional ups and downs, ups and downs, and mental mental illness. >> You know, heard that. >> As Nita continued her account, the officers began to sense that something wasn't quite right. Although they couldn't immediately identify the problem, their instincts told them that something was missing. >> I just come out here and talk to us right here for two seconds. >> Yeah, my handy. >> So, so unfortunately is because he know >> unfortunately in the state of Ohio whenever somebody fills out like a statement saying that somebody attacked a husband or wife and they have marks on them, we're obligated to arrest the person. >> Who me? >> Yeah. 100%. Like there ain't no way I cannot do it. It's I'm like they forced me to. >> Are you serious? >> Yeah. For real. For real. Like I'm not even I'm not even making this up. So it's no way that we can bring him up here or so we can talk to him because he know he's >> Yeah, we we got people down there talking to him right now. He's filling a whole statement saying you did all this and then with the mark on your face like they literally >> on my face >> on on his face like they literally make me take someone to jail. >> So what mark does he have in his face? So that's not enough. >> So that's not a herpes mark inside of his mouth. We don't know. We're not medical. >> Yeah. So So that's what's going to happen right now. I got no way not to. Like they literally make me >> I never touched him. >> I hear you. So what I will do >> can can I get my sisters up so we can all make a statement? >> I will I will 100% offer to take them a statement. >> So I'm going to jail. >> Yeah. I just want you I hear me out. Hear me out. >> We need to make sure that your son's taken care of. >> Can you wait and let them know that they're I don't put you in handcuffs. Okay. >> Okay. Please let me let me please let me give me my Yes. I'm just going to give my son a hug. That's it. >> I I will help you figure it out, but I have to put you in handcuffs. >> No. Can I please? Yes. Okay. But yes, can I please give my son a hug? >> First, please. I don't want him to see me in handcuffs. You can do whatever you want to do. >> I'm not allowed. >> He's lying, sir. >> I understand. >> But if you stop the statement right now, is that can we stop it? Cuz he's lying. I'm telling you, sir. >> I got no choice. >> I'm saying if we go downstairs, >> I will help you figure out >> Nicole. Nicole, >> we'll knock on the door in a second. Yeah, but you have to stop this statement because >> I will help you figure out let me get you >> right now. Tell him to stop writing a statement and stop lying. They trying to take me to jail right now, bro. >> And it's not even necessary, bro. Please up. >> Yes, please. Nicole, they trying to take me to jail, bro. >> I'm going to see if they're trying to fill out a statement. >> Please take a statement. They trying to take me to jail, bro. >> You're not letting me talk. Would you be able to fill out a statement about what he's trying to put a whole case on >> her? He's she's came all the way down. This is my twin sister. She came all the way down here from Nevada and she's already had something going on. I'm just trying to take care of my kids, bro. I got two teenagers right now. >> Got two teenagers that I'm trying to take care of in my sister with me. They don't have no money. We're going to jail. You can't going to jail. He's going to stop this statement cuz when I green right now >> I'm trying to see what um so what is going on? What did she do? >> I didn't do nothing that I hit him and he writing out they said that he writing out a statement where he >> can't do nothing. >> Do you want to wear shoes or not? >> I want the other ones where my black ones at. So even if he stopped the statement like this can't stop >> because >> this is one of the weird things in Ohio that they they don't give us any leeway like even >> no but if he just say that look officer I'm wrong I'm totally wrong like and and and whatever >> they might drop the charges later if he did that but they don't >> yeah they don't give me a choice it's one of the weirdest laws in Ohio I literally have no matter I might >> listen I used to live here sir that's not true >> like I don't know how to be able to >> No no no I'm talking about as far It's what he's saying. It's what he's saying right now. That doesn't mean I have to go to jail. I don't >> That's It's been It's been >> I wish it was so slow. It used to be like that, but now they made it so like one person said, the other person hit them and they got a mar and they're married. They require me. >> I'm sorry to interrupt. Is the child his kid? >> Yes, it's our job. >> We go ahead and make sure that he's he takes custody of him tonight. Okay. cuz she says she has to work. She can't take custody or whatever that we can do. You >> talking about you ended up back together. I don't know what's going on here. >> Yeah. Just just one second. Tell me. All right. Hold on. Whenever somebody's in here cuz I can't talk I can't continue to talk to them without reading them these words. Okay. >> I have to write. >> All right. You got to stay with me. Okay. As the Miranda writes were being read to [music] her, it dawned on Nidita that her attempt to pull the victim card had failed. If she was going to be left off the hook, she needed to come up with something fast. >> Do you understand this right now? >> I know. I know. I don't I don't I don't talk to him. I can't talk to him. >> Oh, he's trying to bring me down, Lord. I swear to God. >> Ma'am, what's your first name? >> My name is Na. Na Johnson. >> Na. My name is Mike. Okay. I'm thirsty. >> Na. Here's the good thing. You're not You're not saying you're guilty of anything. You're just getting charged. Okay? The judge will decide that later. Yeah. >> So, just the more cooperative you are and that you go with the program, the more it's going to help out in court. Okay. >> They said I can't get out till Monday. >> That was what he said. >> I got you. >> No, I just got to contact the judge. >> If the judge wants to give you a bond, then that's up to her. Okay. >> I just wanted him to stay away from me. I drove all 29 hours by myself on the road. I was trying to do something nice for him. We understand that you were throwing a birthday party for him. >> Never again. Oh my god. >> You don't need trouble though cuz he's the light. >> I won't be messing if he's trying to lie to you all the time. Um, >> no, I haven't even So, I got my first court date coming up. >> Okay. >> So, I haven't been convicted yet. Okay. >> But in the state of Nevada, >> once you get through, you automatically get life and this will be my third one. >> You didn't do nothing in Nevada. You're in Ohio. >> No, but no, no, it doesn't matter where you are. Check it. Check it. I swear to God, he told me that. >> We'll review it all. But are you >> He told me he said he said how many? He said he swear to God. Look it up. He said, "No doesn't matter where you are, where you've had of in any state. Nevada doesn't play. If you have three, no matter wherever state it is, you automatically get life." This is what he told me. >> In the state of Nevada, my husband told me that. >> I've never heard that crazy. Can you turn around, please, just so we can make sure you don't have anything you shouldn't find? >> Is there anything in your pockets? Anything to hurt us or anything? Nothing. If I check everybody's all good, [laughter] >> you guys search in the jail. Yeah, they are they are going to come out. >> No, I don't need you. But >> yeah, we don't got to go far at all. You're going to jail for life. >> You're not going to jail for life. I'll tell you that right now. Ain't nobody in Kyoga County goes to jail for life. Nobody. You could do anything. >> Look it up for a line. >> Could literally commit any crime. >> Nita was charged with domestic battery and eventually banned from the hotel. Just like Nathan was pulled out of a messy situationship. Cops were called in once again to save this man who was catching hands from the very person who was supposed to have his back. >> Okay. Did anything else get physical? >> Scratch the my face. So, all this is from >> I probably hit him once, [ __ ] once. >> On June the 6th, 2025, cops were dispatched to a quiet neighborhood following reports of a domestic situation. At first, they assumed that they were about to save a woman from her abusive husband. But little did they know that the narrative was about to change in the most shocking way. >> Hello. How you doing? >> Good. How about you, man? What's going on? What do you got in your hand there? Oh, phone. Okay. I just want to make sure you didn't have anything. Hey. >> Hello. >> What's going on? >> Just take me to a hotel. He's being >> All right. Uh, I'll talk to you out here. Come here. >> Okay. Thank you. >> You want to talk with him? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um, well, he's in. >> It's not. >> No, I go. >> So, what's going on? Okay. >> I was off today. I was here and then she went to work this morning and she comes home from like 11 to 4. >> Okay. >> And she come home. She called me and I know she said being I was being rude or something. I don't know how I was being rude. Well, then >> she put something on and she was going to go tanning and I thought it was something like she wore to bed at night or something. That's all I said. Are you wearing that? >> And all [ __ ] hell broke loose. Okay. So, >> she said I was being rude and I was degrading or said fat and ugly and I never said none of that. I never said none of it. >> Okay. You just asked her about what she was wearing. That was it. >> I just thought, >> "Are you wearing that?" >> Yeah. >> It's always there. >> Okay. Okay. >> And she took her motorcycle home. It found it outside and she took a cord and was hanging it from the garage after like she was going to hang herself. So the phone and the tires are still outside in your back if you want to see that. >> Okay. So the pills and Did she make comments about hurting herself or >> Yeah. said she was going to go and drive another P. >> Okay. Okay. Is this something that >> she does often? >> About two years ago, you know, I was wasn't like >> Okay. >> Well, every now and then, I don't know what gets in her head, but she brings this [ __ ] up. >> Brings it back. Okay. and just goes longer. I don't know if she's drinking. She's supposed to be not. She said she wasn't drinking, but >> Okay. So, you don't know if she's taking anything? A >> year and a half, you know. >> Okay. So, we don't know if she's been drinking at all today or not sure. >> That's how she usually acts. She does. She just >> Okay. Did she do like any pills? Like too many? >> I don't believe she threw. >> Okay. So, she just threw them. She didn't say she was going to take a bunch of pills. No. >> Okay. just that she was going to drive the street and run into a pole >> on the way there. >> Okay. >> I don't know. She she does this like she said she could hang herself in the garage. >> Okay. >> You know, it's just she does that. And >> I actually went to Ottawa for a while, came back and I thought she went back to work in her car in the garage. I didn't see this coming otherwise I would say. >> Okay. So, this will happen earlier then like the throwing of the things or this just happened. >> Yeah, it happened 2:00. >> 2:00. So, okay. So, 2:00 >> 2:30 somewhere there. >> Okay. Um, so did it all take place just in the living room or >> Well, all over the place. >> All over. She was throwing stuff around. Um, >> I did hold her down because she had my glasses. Okay. >> And I couldn't see without and I just wanted her not to break my glasses. >> Okay. >> And she end up throwing them and I got my glasses and >> Okay. Did anything else get physical? >> No. She just scratched the [ __ ] my face. >> So, all this is from >> her. Yeah. >> Okay. And this was at like two, you said? >> Yeah. >> This So everything physical and throwing was at two. >> She's still poking right now. Yeah. >> Yeah. So you came So you said you left. >> Yeah. She hid my truck key because I had a house key on right now. >> Okay. >> But she hid those and she come. She just threw at me just a few minutes ago. >> Okay. >> I mean just to poke me around. >> Okay. >> No, I don't know where I can try calling it. outside the White House. >> Can't find it. >> So, the only reason I called was because I've asked her several times to find somewhere else to stay. >> Okay. >> I'm not fighting with you all night. I'm not going through this [ __ ] You hit me and >> Yeah. >> Has it been phys physical before between you guys? Or >> when we lived in North Carolina? When we were both How long have you guys been here for? >> I've been here over a year. >> A year. So, you both have living here a year? >> Yeah. She She hasn't been here that long, but >> Okay. She was moving up after I guess seven. >> So about a year for both. Yeah. Okay. >> The man continued his story revealing more shocking details about his wife who was now identified as Becky. >> And then >> I mean we were both drinking and using drugs at that time, you know. >> Okay. Is she still using drugs or No, not that you know of. Okay. When you said you had to hold her down cuz she took your glasses. Where in the house was right here? And is that when she started clawing at you or was it prior? >> Before. >> Oh, before. So where where did that take place at? >> So you were walking. She's grabbing you or Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. Um >> I mean I don't want her to go to jail but just have her leave. >> Okay. Um >> as her to leave to go somewhere else, stay somewhere else. >> So she's going to and she keeps saying all this [ __ ] I'm like I mean just go some and she refused to leave and she keeps you know, come by, smack the head or say [ __ ] or get my face again. >> Yeah, that's how you doing it. >> Okay. >> Okay. Um, let me go talk to my partner out there if you don't mind just sitting and >> I'll come back and talk to her shortly. >> She has a slight scratch on her arm. What was like what was any of that? >> I have no idea. >> No idea what that was. Okay. >> Unless she was trying to hook the dogs up or something. Never got nothing on her. >> Gotcha. I don't want to kill myself. I hate you. >> Check in the garage when you get home. >> Okay. >> I [clears throat] mean, it just >> just a bunch of >> Yeah. Just I mean >> Gotcha. >> I just asked and that's when I asked her just to go go. And I said, "I'm going to have you removed if you don't stop." Mhm. >> Stop. >> Okay. >> Has she been suicidal in the past at all? >> She says, but >> yeah, she says stuff, but today was the hanging of the thing and the mention of the pole that [ __ ] before. >> Okay. Okay. I'm just like right before I called you. I went in the kitchen. She had two knives in her hand. >> That's what I said. I said, "That's it. I'm calling." >> Just standing there with two knives or >> she was getting them on the thing and I walked around the corner and I grabbed them from her and I asked her to just leave. Did she say what she was going to do with these knives? >> We don't know. Okay. Okay. So, she was just holding them. >> So, where where where did where did she try claw or where did she claw you at? >> It was between here and in the bathroom there. She just kept I was just trying to get away, you know. >> So, she came home from work. I just want to get this straight. She came home from work around 11:00. >> Mhm. >> And then she said she was going to go go tanning. >> Yeah. After she was home for a few minutes. >> Yeah. And then um she was going coming home and she was going to the tan and you mentioned something about what she was wearing and she just started getting fired up about that and then she started bringing up old past uh things that had happened and then you guys trying to >> for a while and then she started like she threw the hot bottle. She took that thing off the doorbell. >> Mhm. >> She all the on the little nightstand here in the hallway she threw at me. The air pressure she threw at me. >> Where is that? She picked all that up. Okay. >> I I told the other officer that I had left for a little bit. I went to a >> Okay. >> And then I come back and it was four. I figured she went back to work. Yeah. Well, she put the sound in the garage. Otherwise, I would have just kept on driving by. >> Mhm. >> And then it started again. I said, "I've asked you to leave several times. Just please leave. I'm not going to do this anymore." >> Mhm. and said she was going to leave and then this that and then >> she just kept coming and she pushed me in the face, you know, she her doing what >> where she pushed you in the face like right here in the hallway. >> It just it went on for a while and then she I couldn't find my keys so I can move my truck so she can get a car out. >> She hid my keys on me. I don't know cuz I had the house key on there. They want me to come back in or what. >> Mhm. >> So she tossed them at me at the back door just a little bit ago. And then she just kept pushing me and trying to get to me. And >> does this say after she clawed you? >> Oh yeah. This is a little while ago, just a little bit ago. >> Okay. >> And I said, "I've asked you several times to leave. Just leave. >> I'm not going through this shit." >> And she wouldn't. And I said, "All right, I'm going to have you removed." >> I offered to have her removed a couple times before that, you know. >> Well, so what do you want done? >> I don't want her to go to jail. Well, I mean, so we have a decision to make here. Um, do you want to sign charges for domestic battery or not? >> It was obvious that he didn't want his wife to go to jail despite everything that she had done. They were already past that stage. It was no longer his call to make. >> No, but can we still have her go somewhere for the night? >> She'd be going to Lasal County Jail cuz I'm going to be signing charges then. Oh, >> you are. >> Mhm. I have to. >> So, it's up to you. Do you want to sign them or do you want me to sign them? because I have to make an arrest here. Something physical happened between you two and I have to make an arrest. >> I know. I know it's a lot. I I get it. But I mean >> I I don't know. It sounds like you guys are not meshing well and you you've said you tried calling in the past to get her removed before too. >> No, just just today. >> Oh, just today. Okay. I misunderstood you. >> Yeah. No, I told her I I told her several times throughout, you know, something like have you call and have your removed if you don't stop. >> Yeah. >> And then she'd do whatever do and come back and just throw something else in my face and then just I just get up and walk away and she found me in the room and >> it just wasn't going to end. >> So it start it basically started I mean she came home at 11:00 >> and then she said she was going to tan. She you mentioned something about what she was wearing and she got upset about it. >> It happened for a while. I don't know if it just like sunk in finally or what. >> I mean, when did was she already intoxicated when you got home? >> I don't know if she is or not. Is she? >> She She is. I can tell. I can smell it on her. >> You can? >> Oh, yeah. I've been doing I've been doing this for quite some time. I can tell. You know. >> Me, too. Because I've been sober for a year and a half now. >> Yeah. >> I can smell this. >> What is she What is her What is her choice of drink? >> Uh whiskey. >> Whiskey. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Yeah, cuz I mean if she drinks vodka, you won't be able to smell it on her cuz it's like an old >> get if she gets in the like you know the gas station or something and she's >> she said she she said she went to the gas station today. >> Yeah. >> So >> and then I can I mean I can smell it right away now. >> I can smell it on her and she I can tell her she's slurring her words. She's got glassy eyes. >> Well I do now she's drunk. She ain't never she ain't quit the whole night. >> I can tell you that right now. >> Yeah. So, >> and that's probably after that said that she probably >> went to the gas station and pounded a bunch of liquor. >> She she said she got a couple of shooters. So, >> I mean they a couple of them going to do that. >> I like I said she's she's telling me this and then she I'm asking her what happened and I'm like I obviously walked in and I seen you and you have marks on your face. I asked her I'm like he obviously has marks. What happened? And she's like nothing happened. Nothing happened. And she's got scratches on your arm. She's like, "Oh, those are from the dog." Or, "Well," she's like, "He did them first." And then I'm like, "Okay, let's talk more about that. What happened?" And then she's like, "Oh, that was from the dogs. That's old." And I'm like, "Well, obviously not because it's fresh." >> Well, yeah. If the dogs get, you know. Yeah. >> It's like me. I >> So, did you do that to her or anything? >> No, no, no. All >> How did she get Did she have my glasses? She was trying to make my glasses. All I did was >> What? What do you How did she have your glasses? >> Her to get my glasses back and she finally threw them. I let when I >> was that [music] when she was scratching you >> after that. Yeah. >> After that. >> Yeah. She was ripped she >> just pushing at your face. >> Yeah. She ripped my glasses off after she >> How long ago after she uh um when you mentioned about her dress like did she immediately after scratch you or was she in the bathroom when she scratched you? >> I lose my train of thought a lot with this. >> Okay. But it was it was a little bit. But I'm not going to say like >> she she was in the bathroom though when she scratched or where she scratched you? >> No, I was just trying to get away from her. >> Okay. Where where were where were you at when you got scratched? Like in in the house? >> I believe it was right in this area and then went in the bathroom. >> Was she in the bathroom or were you in the bathroom? >> I just walked in there cuz I started feeling it drip. So Okay. So it was before I went in the bathroom. >> Okay. Where where And she scratched you right in here in the hallway area. >> Between here and there. Okay. Yeah. So, um I just want to get it straight with you. What do you want to do with Do you want to sign charges for domestic battery? >> Okay. Um my partner mentioned that you had she made some suicidal comments. >> Was that today? >> When was that? >> Like just throughout this whole process she would she was saying >> showed her the phone that she cut off the damn rapper and >> Yeah. So, >> and then she text that she was going to drive. >> She got You got a text message? >> Yeah. >> Can I see that? Did you see that? Did my partner take a picture of it or something? >> No, she didn't. >> All right. Outside the house, another officer was struggling to get clear answers from Becky. She appeared visibly intoxicated, but something about her behavior raised questions. Was she genuinely impaired, or was that a calculated act designed to dodge the officer's probing questions? >> What's going on? But, you know, he says he's not aggressive, so it's okay. >> Just have a seat. Just I got >> No, just take me to his house. >> No, I got to figure out what's going on here before I make any decisions. >> Okay. >> Okay. Hey, no. Sit down and talk to me. >> What's going on? >> Okay. >> Nothing. >> Something obviously happened. He's got a mark on his face. What happened? >> Oh. Oh, well, he has u um you know um aggressive um he has a liver failure. So, of course, he's going to get >> marks on him. >> How much you had to drink tonight or already today? >> Okay. A few drinks. >> Okay. I I That's your right. But >> that is my right. >> I'm not knocking you. But >> and I'm going to go to the hotel. That's okay. But I'm not using him. >> All right. Then what happened today? >> Where were you at? Let's start. Where did you go out for some drinks? >> No. >> Did you have some drinks here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, what happened between you? Is he your husband or boyfriend? >> Yeah, he's my husband. >> Okay. What happened between you and your husband? >> He's very mean. He's doing it on purpose. >> What? I You're not telling me anything here. >> He's doing it on purpose because he wants to look like he's a victim. >> What What is he doing? Uh, he wants to look like he's abusive. >> He wants to look like he's abusive or like he's being abused. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Why? And so what what what happened between you and him today, though? >> Nothing. Nothing. I have no clue. That's That's what I'm saying. I'm going to work. Whatever. Let's let me go to I don't know. I don't know anything today. He's going to make up a story, honey. >> Well, we're going to figure it out right now. So, >> okay. Well, I'll figure it out. >> That's what I plan on doing. You going to be cooperative with me or you just going to keep on telling me you don't know or nothing's going on? Cuz something obviously is going on there to say that he is a liar. >> Okay. >> And that he's going to play the victim like he always does. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Do you have your license on you? >> Yeah, of course I do. >> And you know what? He is the victim. He plays the victim. >> That's fine. I got We got to talk with him, too. >> Cheated on me. And you want me to show you all the >> That ma'am, that that is between you. You two. I That is not my business. All right. That is not my business. >> Okay. And so >> I'm here for right now for today. What is going on right now between you two? >> I'll go and see you guys. What? >> One year we were separated. We >> So, how long you guys been married? >> Oh, um 20 years. But listen, >> 20 years. >> Listen, I had a one year um separation paper. So, that was good. >> Okay. >> And then he's like, "Oh, yeah." You know, and >> what happened to your arm here? What did you do there? >> That's him. But you Let's not talk about him. Oh, no. Trying to >> Can't be him. >> I'm trying to figure out everything. I see. >> Can't be him. No. Can't be him here. Can't be him here. No. No. >> What happened? You You're not telling me anything. You're saying telling me nothing happened. >> He's um he's like um he's um Okay. He's he has liver cerosis. So, he has liver failure. So, he doesn't think of things. And sometimes he's aggressive, >> okay? >> And like the dogs jump on us or whatever and he gets angry or whatnot. And today I get off work. I got off work early. I didn't want to go with him to Rockford to visit his friend to pick him up. So whatever. And then he's all angry. >> So let's argue. >> I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. You can even ask those people at the BP gas station over at the Shell gas station that I bought three three little airplane bottles when they got off work with me. >> That's fine. I I don't care. >> Right. >> What Becky was failing to realize was that the officers had already begun to see through her act. But rather than confront her immediately, they figured a better way to handle the situation. >> So this argument stopped started. >> He has liver failure. So I don't want to tell him. >> Has he been drinking too? >> No. >> Okay. So this argument started because he wanted to go visit a friend in Rockford and you didn't want to go. So he he started on an argument with you. >> Okay. >> But I have to work at 4. So I called off. I said, "No, I can't work at 4:00. Sorry guys." >> Well, because you're obviously intoxicated. >> Well, yeah. and and my husband didn't want me to go and and >> so why would you why would you start drinking if you have to work at 4 and then you called off Becky so as she talked with him in there and everything uh did you make some comments about wanting to hurt yourself today? >> Yeah, I hate him. I hate him so much. >> Do you want to hurt yourself? >> No, I don't want to hate myself. >> Well, I mean you >> hurt him. That's just a joke. I know. >> No, I'm I'm concerned about you right now cuz you made some comments about driving your car into a pole wanting to hang yourself in the garage. >> No. Um, let me go right back in here. >> Yeah, please go cuz he's an idiot. >> Well, do you want to hurt yourself? >> No, I don't want to hurt myself. >> Well, I mean, if you really need help, we want to help you. Okay. >> I don't need help. I don't need help. See, I don't need help. >> Did you make these comments? >> No. >> What did What did you say today? Because he's giving us the these things. >> Um I'm not sure, but he's an idiot. Um uh he's an idiot. Yeah, I've put up with him for like over 20 years. And you can look down south and hey, why don't you call the um Swain County Police Department down there and ask about their um you know, records about me and him. Why don't you >> I don't need to. I'm I'm here right now for you guys right now. I'm only I don't care about what happened in the past. I'm caring about what's going on right now between you guys. >> Well, he's an idiot. >> Well, I don't know. I I haven't even talked to him. I'm sorry that he has lip failure. I'm sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Do you see him? >> He probably Yeah, cuz he's goofy. >> Cuz what? >> Cuz he's goofy. >> We got to figure this out. You know, if you're really >> I'm going to tell you that I stuck with him all these years. All these years. I married him twice. Not once, but twice. I married this guy. >> Okay. >> And stuck by him. He tried being like he was normal. Is that normal? I'm sorry. And you know what? I'm working at Two Brothers. Guess what? That's it. That's the horriblest place I've ever worked. I'm so sorry. Guess what? I work down south and I moved here and like thinking, "Oh my god, I have to work here. It's horrible. It's horrible. I I opened up a bar and grill. Look at my credentials. Go, please." >> So, tell me how you got these things. How How'd that happen today between you two? >> U probably The dog did that or he didn't? >> I say dog. >> Despite obvious efforts to deflect the interrogation, the officers found a way to always circle back to the primary focus of their interrogation, leaving her quite frustrated. How did So, and then how did you get the sighting? Cuz this is the sighting from Did you rub up against it or what happened there? >> Okay. He's not as great as he thinks he is, but he wants to say, "Oh, I'm so perfect. I'm so mean." >> You're not You're not answering any of my questions here. >> Don't Don't touch me. >> He's not going to jail. >> I'm trying to figure out what is going on here. You're not You're giving me the bare minimum here. >> Okay. >> I'm asking questions about your your wound here. And then >> fine. This is few days ago. few days ago. >> Obviously not because it's fresh >> a few days ago. We ask that girl. She I waited on her. Are you finding anything? >> You want put me into jail. put me into jail. You're not putting me into jail cuz he has a failure. Okay. He has a failure. So he called. Why? >> Why do you call? >> Yes. Please. >> Cuz Well, there's some scratches on his face. He said that. >> Yeah. Um that there was stuff thrown about the house, which >> so dramatic. Go ahead. >> Uh were those just what kind of pills were I saw some laying on the ground. Are they just or like What do you mean? >> There's just pills on the ground. >> Oh. Um, those are probably my um Yeah, they're they're nothing important. >> Just Okay. Just like like vitamins or something or >> Well, my sister um has me have on I I'll show you um something um acidic um and it helps you with your inflammation. Oh, okay. All right. I just saw some on the ground, so I was just wondering what they were. >> Okay. Yeah. No, I'll tell you. >> 10 for extend. >> Um, that's funny. >> So, what what happened with his face? >> On the floor. >> What What happened with his face? >> Probably him. >> Okay. >> I didn't hit him. >> Okay. So, he scratched his own face. I probably hit him once, but no. Um, he's just dramatic. >> Okay. Uh, what was the you driving to Straighter and going to run into a pole on your way there? >> Never never live in Straighter. I parked in front of the garage. Hello. >> Okay. No, like that. So, you never made a comment that you were going to crash your car today? >> Guess what? My brother is a was a cop in Ottawa. No, no, no. >> Who is your brother? >> Spencer McDonald, who's K9. Okay. >> At this point, Becky was convinced that she had talked her way out of trouble because the officers bought her story. Or at least that was what they wanted her to think. >> But no, no. Okay. >> I'm sorry that he >> So, you don't want to hurt yourself? >> I do not want to hurt myself. >> You want to hurt anyone else? >> No. And I'm sorry that he has liver failure and that he feels sad and that he wants to and stuff like that. And when I come home and he's traumatic and we have episodes because he wants to be I don't know what he wants to be. I don't know. >> Okay. Well, so what exactly is is this going? >> This is uh maybe some dogs. >> Maybe some dogs. I I saw you got the two dogs out back. >> They they love me. >> Yeah. >> But um >> do you mind if I take a picture of your arm? >> Okay. >> Yeah, I saw those Australian Shepherds, right? Yeah, I got one, too. >> I'm not really a mean person. >> You don't seem like a mean person, but everyone has, you know, issues that they're working through. >> No, but that's what I'm thinking. What the hell? >> All right, Becky. >> Yeah. >> So, I got text messages now of your comments you made. So, but um I'm asking him. He doesn't want to sign charges for domestic battery. I'm going to sign them. So, I'm going to place you under arrest for domestic battery and we're going to go to the hospital because you promise to me. All right. And don't tell me you didn't make any comments cuz I got proof of it cuz I got text messages. Okay. >> What's your comments? >> I want to kill myself. I want to drive myself into a pool. Check the garage when you get home. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. So, >> take your purse off. >> Take your purse off. >> Can I go inside first? >> No. >> Take your purse off. Let's go. >> Oh, okay. >> Stand up. >> Got it. >> There you go. All right. >> And so, what about my purse? Can you get >> I will I will get take care of it. You think they have a life? >> No, we'll get one at to the hospital when we get there. >> And so what happens after this? >> You're going to go to jail if they don't admit you. I don't That's That's >> okay. Fine. >> What? >> Oh, okay. I'm saying Okay, fine. But >> yeah. >> Do you have anything on you? My partner's going to search you. Okay. >> No, I don't have anything on pockets. But you know, you have a Kleenex. A Kleenex. They can get you one at the hospital. They can get you water, Kleenex. >> All right. Hold on. Hold on. >> All right. >> Hold on. >> Oh, I'm sorry. >> I will let I will let you. >> All right. Let's go. All right. All right. >> Let's go. Just watch yourself. I don't I don't want you falling or anything. My spot's the one across the street. So, when it's close to clear, we'll we'll go. We're going to go on the uh the passenger side. Okay. >> Yeah. You all right? >> I'm all right. >> All right. Well, you need to get in there. I'll I'll lift you up or I'll have you support you a little bit here. Go ahead and put your foot down. All right. Just look away from me that way. and move away from her. >> Yeah. So I can buckle you in. I don't want you breathing. >> I'm sorry. >> Go ahead. >> You want to go on the other side, please? >> I can do it. >> No, she you you can't. You got your hands behind your back. >> We're trying to be nice. >> I get it. >> Well, we appreciate that. We much rather deal with someone than being nice to us, you know. >> All right. All right. In the end, Becky was charged with [music] domestic battery. Just when you thought that these abusive wives couldn't do anything worse, along comes Nicole, who snatched her husband by the neck during a minor altercation. >> She came over with this power. I don't even And just grabbed me by the throat and just threw me up against the the car seat into my daughter. On March the 18th, 2023, deputies received a 911 call from a man reporting that his wife, now identified as Nicole, was grabbing his neck during a misunderstanding. They rushed over to the couple's residence immediately, ready to salvage the situation before it got out of control. >> For heaven, >> can you get your daughter back? >> Ma'am, >> the mother. >> Yes. What about >> over here? >> No, she can't. I'm I'm literally in merit court. They're trying to take her. They're trying to take her. >> Okay, you're not afraid to leave. >> I'm in Stay right here. >> What's going on? >> Can you come get your daughter? >> No. No. No. Nope. >> This is a No. This is an angel baby. You don't understand. >> Put your daughter down. >> You don't understand. >> Put your daughter down. >> Are they coming? Yeah. The There's a helicopter coming right now for her. You cannot touch her. No. >> Put your daughter down. >> You cannot touch. This is bad. Come on. Where are they? >> This is bad. You need to put your daughter down. >> No, don't. I'm in Merit Court right now. You don't >> Okay. What's going on? >> I'm in Merit Court. You don't know. >> What is Merit Court? >> I don't know what it is. It's heaven. You can't get to communications in heaven. >> No, >> they can't. >> I have no idea what you're talking about. >> 576 or X. [crying] >> Can you come get your daughter? >> I know. Okay. >> We're okay. We're okay. >> Okay. For what? >> Put your hands on your back. >> You cannot arrest your hands on your back. >> They're trying to arrest me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> You can't arrest me right now. No, you can't. >> You can't arrest me. I bet you. What are you doing? I'm not doing anything. Can you please stop? Stand up. I'll be in custody of unwitness. Can you wait this? >> No. Stand up. >> I'm trying to. Do you have any? Oh, yeah. They have >> You have anything on you? >> No, I don't have anything on me. >> No. Okay. Are you hurt? >> No. >> No. Okay. >> What am I under arrest for? >> What happened in the car? >> 977. After securing Nicole in the back of a patrol car, the officers turned their attention to her husband. And what he was about to reveal would cast the entire situation in a very different light. >> You need to end whatever this is. I mean, she is off wagon. >> I know. I >> love can only last so long. This is a >> I know. How's it happen like this? Like 8 years. 3 months ago. >> She's been perfect for 3 months. Well, >> perfect for 3 months and then I know >> kidnapping her daughter probably. >> Oh, this is it. She choked. >> Oh, I don't want to. I just want her to get help. >> You don't want to fill out any paperwork or anything? >> Uh, well, for what? To >> domestic battery charges. I'm I'm taking her to jail at least on a resisting charge. >> I don't She's going to jail regardless. >> She's going to jail regard us. Okay. Uh, just Yeah, take her to jail. >> Okay, cool. I I would like some sort of documentation saying what happened. You pull up to me saying she choked you. >> She did. >> And then I try to detain her to continue my investigation. >> I know. I know. You guys are saying, you know, it's the my kid's mother, you know. >> I get the kid's mother that just kidnapped your daughter and then >> No, no, I know. I know. Um it's seen it, you know. It's crazy. Anyways, so I come out, she she comes back. I'm in the garage, you know. Um, actually I'm going in and fix that safe cuz um like I got to get some guns in there cuz now she's going nuts again, right? >> So I'm going in there to fix the safe and um I hear her pull up like I said. I said why did you just take off like that? That's all I said to her like real calm collect the door and she's like right up to me like these eyes just like this and she walked back and and pulled the car out right there. See you can't take her and this time the same thing. She threw her in the buckle her up. So when she threw her in, she went around to go into the car and I just opened the door and I grabbed Reel out. I didn't have to buck, but I grabbed her. She came over with this power. I don't even And just grabbing me by the throat and just threw me up against the the car seat into my daughter or into the the >> Okay. I mean, yeah, you got some redness. >> Yeah, grab me. I mean, like this superpower and I'm not going to hit her, you know, and what are you doing? And and it's almost like she realized what she was doing and she just let go of me. >> Did you lose consciousness at all? Was your airway? >> No, no, no. >> It was I mean she she gripped me, but no, I didn't lose consciousness. >> Was your breathing restricted? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah, it was. She She had some power to that. >> Okay. >> And uh she just went around and I just started getting on the phone call. Now, actually, what I did is I went around. I grabbed her keys. >> Yeah. Well, I've been looking for the car since I left here. So, that's why I pulled on the block cuz they should come. >> Thank you. >> Uh if you wouldn't mind, could you fill out everything at the top here? >> Just list all your personal information. I'll take care of the case number and the date. Write down everything that happened down here. sign your name right here and then bring it out to me when you're done. I've got one more sheet to go over with that. >> Okay, thanks. Did you uh did you get her keys that she had in her hand with those? >> Yeah, I got She's going to be going for uh domestic battery. >> Okay. >> Uh the resisting and then cuz I told her repeatedly to drop the kid or give the kit to me or give the kid to you in your future. >> I'm going to be contacting DCF as well regarding this. But >> I would strongly recommend you follow up with a uh family attorney like >> Yeah, I will. you know, first thing tomorrow morning. >> You realize all the DC stuff though. >> Oh, yeah. 100%. >> She took your kid in a manic state and then refuses to give get to me and, you know, got wrestled to the ground. So, >> they're just Yeah. Yeah. No, I understand. I understand. It's just so embarrassing cuz they go and they talk to the neighbors, you know, it's like >> it's not embarrassing for you, man. >> I know. At least it's late. Maybe none of them are up to >> She used any weapons at any point. No. In the past, has she ever? >> No. >> She make any threats to you or the police? >> No. >> No. Never. >> She threatened you with a weapon at all this incident? >> No. >> Not you threaten ever in the past? >> No. >> Threaten to kill you? >> Nope. >> No. Ever in the past? >> No. >> Threaten this incident? >> No. >> Ever in the past? >> Nope. >> No. >> Uh, she jealous, possessive over control activities that you do? >> No. Never. >> Substance. How afraid are you? Would you say uh your obvious feelings? >> Terrified. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Do you want contact with her in the future? >> Yes. >> When the officers finished speaking with Nicole's husband, [music] the situation had become much clearer. Despite his attempts to downplay what had happened, it was evident that he had been living under a pattern of abuse. With his side of the story now on record, the officers turned their attention back to Nicole. >> All right, Miss Nicole, you're going to come over here and we're going to walk into the van. Okay. And they're the ones that are going to take you. Okay. >> Okay. Straight over that way. >> Okay. Nicole, just for some clarification, cuz I didn't get a chance to explain it all to you, you're being charged with uh three crimes tonight. Okay. >> What? >> You're getting hit with domestic battery by resisting an offer without violence and >> Okay. >> I don't know what you're talking about. >> Okay. >> You're going to walk over to this gentleman right here. >> I don't I don't trust this. I want a police officer. >> Okay. He is basically a peace officer. Okay. He's with the >> I want to go to directions. >> No, I want to go to directions. I don't know what you're talking about. >> They have this on video. >> You don't understand. I'm a great god. >> I'm a great god. You cannot do this. They better get this on camera. >> Hey, this is all being recorded. Okay. So, you're safe. >> Okay. This gentleman works with the sheriff's office. >> Yeah. He's got more cameras in his car than we do in ours. Okay. >> Oh, yeah. And he's with the sheriff's office. >> Here, put your hand. He's making it more comfortable for you. >> In the front, from the back. >> Okay. Ready? >> Well, now that I have a little bit of money, >> I almost had two heart attacks. >> Well, it's going to be all right. I promise you that. >> Oh, Lord. She's not handsome. She's got handcuffs. >> She is hand. >> At the end of the day, she was charged with resisting arrest, domestic battery, and endangerment of a young dependent. Stepping in to rescue Nicole's [music] husband was a bold move by the cops. But even Boulder was serving this abusive wife a cold dish of reality after she put her hands on her husband >> and then hit me. And then the bottle I fell down on the ground. On April the 3rd, 2022, officers were dispatched to a residence following reports of a domestic disturbance. At first, they assumed it would be one of those routine calls where a brief conversation was all it would take to calm tensions and restore order. >> What's going on? >> Have a seat for me. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Let me see. >> Do you need medical attention? >> No. I told the lady no on the phone. I don't know if you can see it. >> I'm 1012 with our caller. >> Did you call us? >> Yes. >> Okay. What happened? >> Well, I was trying to help her get the bed and resolve, you know what I mean? And then like there was half a pint left and I was trying to restrict for like she kept grabbing for the bottom like no more drinking. Her daughter's crying up there and I'm like, "You need to stop." So then as I'm going out to the door, I was on the phone with you guys on the phone with the dispatch and I'm telling her, she can hear all the whole conversation and she's like, you know, she wanted the bottles. So then she would >> and then hit me and then the bottle I fell down on the ground and the bottle and she grabbed the bottle and I went outside the door after that. >> Okay. Okay. Just until I can continue this investigation. Will you put your hands behind your back? I'm going to detain you. >> My phone. >> All right. So I'm going to double lock these so they don't tie up on you. Okay. >> I'm going to go talk to her and kind of see what's going on. >> You're saying that she picked up the bottle? >> Well, after I fell down. Yeah, she picked the bottle and the bottle. >> Okay. And how did she hit you with that? >> With the right hand. >> So she hit you with her hand, not the bottle. >> Yeah. No, I had the hand the bottle in my hand. I was trying to restrict her from getting the bottle cuz she wanted to keep drinking. You see what I'm saying? >> She wanted to keep drinking. I was trying to tell her no. No more. >> Okay. And that's when she swung on you? >> Yes. >> Okay. And she swung on you with which hand? >> Right. >> Her right. And was it a open fist or a closed fist? >> Closed. >> Closed. Okay. >> Yeah. I don't know if you can see it on there. I mean, I see your mouth's a little busted. All right. hang out here. >> I would talk to Deja, please. The daughter. >> Yeah, I'm going to talk to Deja this time. Um, Deja last time was out in the hallway whenever I talked to her. So, she was there whenever I asked her what happened the first time around. How long ago did this happen? >> As soon as I called dispatch. >> Okay. What happened to you guys staying separate for the rest of the night? >> She just kept rambling and rambling and crying and like she started knocking like crap over in my bedroom and like I had to pick up like the bed was moved around everywhere in there. Everything was knocked over. So, I picked it up and I'm just trying to help her go to bed, >> you know? Cuz she's just kept rambling, rambling like I everything up like and I'm like, "Just go to bed. It's okay. We'll get through this tomorrow." >> Like just I just told her like, "You just need to go to sleep." >> Okay. >> I mean, Deja was around there most of the time. >> Nine is still around. >> Seeing the evidence of physical abuse, the officers could have easily taken his wife, Gazelle, into custody, but they decided to hear her own side of the story first. Hey Jazelle, don't talk to her. He ain't got to talk to her. >> This is what this top you >> sit down. Sit down. Godamn. >> Stop doing that. >> All right. >> Hey, Shanley. I said what? >> Danny, quit. >> All right. >> You understand? >> Wait, what? >> What? Take your time. We're going to walk down these steps. >> I'm walking down the stairs with y'all. >> Go ahead. Let's go down the next step. >> Can you walk? >> Walk what? Walk what, ma'am? >> Down the stairs. >> I'm walking. Because this was police on me. >> Yeah. Police on me. Guess what? Guess what? Guess what? You guess what? You >> stop you. >> What's wrong? You >> stop acting like that. >> You know why? >> Face the car. Face the car. [screaming] >> Do you know why? Get that out of your hand. Get it out of your hand. Save me. Save me. >> I don't know why you're being like that towards us. >> Guess what? Cuz y'all just Okay. >> What's happening? >> Get in. >> No. 6207. Can we get another unit in rail, please? >> For what? >> Cooperate. >> I willing walk in just like this. >> Why not? >> You don't. That's where the he [ __ ] >> The officers had finally managed to get Gazelle into the back of their patrol car and turned their attention to her husband. As they worked to remove the cusp, they had no idea that the woman that they had just secured was already up to something inside the cruiser. >> All right, stay out for me. >> All right, you got >> I'm sorry. >> We're going to take you out of these cuffs. Here's the thing. Okay. >> I talked to Deja. I don't know how >> you have yours. >> Her cuffs are off. >> They're off. >> Yeah. >> Oh my goodness. >> They're off. >> Hey, we might end up having a hobble her. Um, look, I talked to Deja. >> She's I I'd have to dig for him. They're off. >> Oh boy. >> Hey, buddy. Do us a favor and just have to go little way that way. >> I don't even care. >> Step out, bro. >> No. >> We're going to go back. >> No. >> No. >> Why are you trying to find us? >> I don't want >> You don't want your daughter to go to DSS, you got to cooperate. >> No. >> Jazelle. No, >> this is going to go a lot easier for you cooperating. >> For why? >> I'm trying to get you to understand that you need some help right now. >> For why >> can you put your back? >> I can't. >> You going to help you? Come on. >> Why are you going to make this? >> Why are you making this? You already know how I am. You already know how I am. >> She's pinching me. There we go. [laughter] [screaming] >> I just put him on all the way. >> A He just wanted to put me in a little way. [screaming] He's so cute. Let me turn my camera off. It's okay, boo. [screaming] Told you. [screaming] >> Don't bite me. You're not trying to bite me. >> I want to bite you. >> Okay. Okay. >> All right. We're going to bite you. Close that door. No. Put your feet down, Gazelle. >> Nope. >> It didn't take long for the officers to realize that something about Gazelle's behavior wasn't adding up. While alcohol may have played a role, they began to suspect that there was more to her story than simple intoxication. Hoping to get a clearer picture of what had been happening inside the home, the officers decided to speak with the couple's daughter with hopes that she would not try to protect her mother. >> Hey, do you guys have any relatives in the area? No, >> none at all. What's the closest relative? [snorts] >> England, Florida. >> Oh, well that's not far. >> Yeah, but >> who is it? >> My aunt. >> Your aunt? Are you on good terms with her? >> Not really. >> So, it's not somewhere that you guys will be able to stay? >> No. >> Nobody else? >> No. My rest of my family lives in Montana. >> Okay. Okay. Um, and you said this isn't normal behavior for your mom. No, it's not. >> Okay. Does she have any other like medical history as far as like >> Would you like to step in? >> Oh, no. You're fine. I'll I'll be done in a second. >> Okay. >> Besides the drinking, is there anything else that would um >> because she never been Baker active before or >> like threats of hurting herself? >> Um she she used to be addict like a long long time ago. She's been clean, but she takes >> Okay. >> And like she has like migraine medicine and stuff. Her medications are in the room, but >> but nothing like schizophrenia or No. >> Okay. >> I think she used to have mental health issues like back in like when she was in her teens, >> right? >> But and I think she mentioned she went to a mental health hospital like once in her middle like in high school. >> Okay. >> But it was like for like a month. So I don't know what that means. >> Okay. So no relatives that you guys can like go down with in the future. Okay. All right, not a problem. She's going to go down to the hospital and then uh well, potentially the hospital, but then jail as well. >> Okay. >> All right. The jail is because she and then uh pinched one of our officers. So, >> okay. >> All right. You have a good night. Okay. >> Eventually, Gazelle was booked into jail for battery on LEO battery and resisting arrest. And yet another case where officers responded to help an alleged victim of domestic abuse. They encountered a woman who allegedly clawed at her partner during an altercation, only to later claim that the real culprit was her cat. >> And she comes up to me, gets up off the bed, and starts like scratching me like I have scratches. I'm literally bleeding. >> I was mad, so I threw something at the mirror. I threw something else at the door and she opened the door to hit her. So, she pulled my hair and scratched my eye. >> She's got bite marks on her. Any idea where those came from? >> Maybe a cat. On October the 17th, [music] 2023, the cops received a 911 call from a woman claiming to have been physically assaulted by her girlfriend, identified as Miracle. In a response to the call, officers were dispatched to a location where they met with the victim and got a rundown of what had transpired and of their potentially abusive relationship. >> Hi. >> Hi. >> What's going on? >> Um, my roommate is unhinged and squeaking. So, I just got back um around like 1:40. >> Okay. And um she had text me cuz I stayed the night. We used to date but we haven't been to in a relationship in a while. >> Sure. >> Um but um >> but you guys still live together, right? >> Yeah. She's she's not on the lease, but she's currently residing me. >> Sure. Sure. Sure. >> And um yeah, so while I was gone 3:00 a.m. she texted me. So my new She's not my girlfriend, but this girl I'm talking to, she just got over. So she text me, you know, very hostile talking about basically saying how she thinks I'm inconsiderate going over there. When I told her she's passed the quarantine date, I didn't respond to her in text, I just said like I said nword like with dot dot dot like just like on some really tight stuff, but she has me blocked so she didn't get that. >> Mhm. >> So I come home, she has my stuff, my blankets and pillow in the living room in my bedroom door lock. >> So I take my stuff back into the room and she starts, "Oh, you're cussing me out talking about you're inconsiderate." I just put my stuff back. She takes it out and throws it out again. Okay. >> And then I'm just like whatever. I go sit down, try to eat my food in the living room, and then >> I go and get my charger from the bedroom. My phone is like literally about to die. >> She's on the phone. >> I don't know who she's talking to, but she's like talking mess about me. I'm like, "Oh, whatever." >> She's like, "Can you get out? I'm trying to have a conver." I'm like, "I just need to get my stuff." That's it. And then she's like, "Can you get out?" And then throws like starts throwing my stuff and like I know she bust my mirror. She's already like a couple weeks ago took my bat to like my TV and cut up my clothes and all that stuff. Like I have photo evidence. And then she I come back cuz I'm like, "Stop throwing my stuff." She threw it in the hallway >> and my brother has his bedroom on it >> and it almost went into there and almost hit him. >> She's pretty strong. And >> I'm taking my stuff back. I'm like, "Please stop throwing my stuff." She's like, "Get out. I'm trying to have a conversation." I'm like, "I'm just like, "Stop throwing my stuff, please." And then she comes up to me, gets up off the bed, and starts like scratching me. Like I have scratches. I'm literally bleeding. And this isn't the first time she's put her >> Can you step out so I can see the scratch marks? >> Yeah. Like I have bite marks and stuff still. Like last time this occurred, it wasn't even I don't even think like a month ago. Like >> I have like photo evidence of all this. Sorry, my wrist is really sore. The hell not let go. >> When did that happen? >> Not let go. >> When did that happen? >> Which one? >> Both. >> So, uh this just happened like what? I called you guys right after. I just >> Yeah. No, cuz I was like that one looks pretty fresh. So, >> this just happened. And then this is The last one. >> It still hasn't healed. I have scratches scratches on my foot, too. And all my face, >> but that was the most recent recent injury. Yeah. What What happened today? What injuries today? >> This. >> Okay. >> This You can't really see it, but on my hand. >> And then my neck. >> Okay. >> My face and by my foot. >> What apartment is she? >> 102. The door might be The door should be unlocked. My stuff might be outside cuz she already threw my blanket in outside the door in the hallway. Now, >> who who all lives there? Or I guess who's all in there right now? Just her. I got my brother out of there. So, and she pulled the heck out of my hair. So, I'm probably going >> your brother there during >> Yeah. >> this going on. >> Yeah. But he I just told him to go to the park. He went to go to the park anyway. He's only 15. He just heard recently. So, I just want him around. >> And how old are you? >> I'm 24. >> And then what's her name again? >> Okay. And then how old is she? >> 24. >> Okay. So, you guys used to date. You're not dating no more. How long you guys been broke up? >> Oh, man. Like months. like maybe half a year or more. >> But and I know she's not on a lease, but how long have you guys been both been living here? >> She's been living here since I want to say January of 2022. >> Okay. So, over a year then. >> Yeah. >> Gotcha. >> She was supposed to go, but >> Okay. >> What What is your first name? >> Has she ever been arrested before for any of the stuff that's happened with you guys? >> Not for the stuff that's happened between us, but she has had a domestic situation that I witnessed with her. >> What's good for me? >> But I will warn you. I know you guys are trained for this, but she she has no respect for anybody. So, please be mindful. Like, I I had to call the police on her for some other stuff, and they had to retrieve her, she was not having it at all, so please. >> The caller went further to reveal several other interesting details that explained the toxicity level of her girlfriend. Although they got ample information about the kind of [music] person the abuser was, the cops remained unsure of what was to come during the first interaction. >> Just I appreciate that. Just so you know, with the situation you guys have living together and the injuries that you have, she's going unless unless there's something up there that I'm not anticipating. I mean, if if the situation is what it seems like it's a domestic situation, even though you guys aren't dating and you got injuries, so someone's going to jail, you know what I'm saying? Like, and we don't have discretion on that. >> We have to determine who the primary aggressor is. Now, I not saying this is the case. If we go in there, she's got all these injuries you're not telling us about and whatever. But >> I'm trying to do was restrain her and push her, >> right? I'm just I'm just letting you know that. >> How do you spell her first name? >> Miracle. M I R A C O L O L E. >> What's her last name? >> Okay. >> M O M I. >> I didn't see N I don't think that's D. >> Uh February 16th, 0919. Okay, >> we're going to chat with her and most likely she'll be uh arrested. So, >> how do we proceed with this though? Cuz I don't I mean I know if she I know the living situation might be a little tricky. >> So, if she's arrested for domestic, a no contact order will be put in place. Uh as long as you're one requested, which means she will not be able to come back here. So, she'll get a onetime visit with officers to gather her, you know, necessities and um that's about it. >> Sit tight until we get whatever happens, whether we come back, I'll just talk to you or we arrest her or whatever. Hang tight cuz I want to have a patrol camera come get pictures of your injuries and all that. We'll get get a little more information from you, too. But we'll go talk to her. But >> if you don't mind, if you want to pull over like back behind that building uh so when we bring her out, it's not a bunch of arguing and stuff like that. That works. >> Yeah. >> All right. Okay. >> All right. And there are cats in there just >> 102. Correct. >> Um, yeah. 102. >> Okay. Okay. And what was she uh wearing today? >> Today? Uh, I think I don't know. Like I know for sure like a t-shirt, maybe a bonnet, probably [music] like PJ some. >> Okay. Okay. About how tall? >> Uh, she's a couple inches shorter than me. >> Okay. Okay. When the cops [music] finally entered the apartment building, they made attempts to enter the residence where Miracle kept herself locked in. However, when [music] they couldn't get her to open the door, they decided to opt for other ways of entering the home. >> She ain't want to answer the door. I mean, if you're Are you willing to let us >> to give me the keys so we can go in there? >> Yeah, she might have the bedroom and it be the bedroom. Go down the hallway to the last one on the left. >> Okay. Do you just so I can verify you, do you have your ID on you? Does it have this address on it? Can I take a look at that just so I can make sure? Again, just not that I don't believe you. Apartment >> a silver bedroom. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. I have permission to go in the apartment. She said the bedroom door might be locked. Apartment. Bedroom door. I trouble I have verified on her ID. This is where she lives at. Um so I was thinking like in terms obviously we have permission on the apartment. If there's any hold up about going in the bedroom, in my mind, this is where she lives. We have a right to make sure that she's at a safe place for tonight and we can go in the bedroom and hook her up. >> So, how will we address that as we go? >> We'll address that as we go there. But I think we have enough exit circumstances to at least >> place her under arrest because this is where she lives. >> Yard, >> police department. for China 29.5. Thank you, man. 2945 East University staff here worried about a small male juvenile about 8 years old. white male brown hair. >> She said the far she said >> the one on the far on the left the back one. >> She said it's probably blocked. I think it's going. After finally gaining entrance into the apartment, the officers began making efforts to uncover the suspect's hiding spot. And the encounter that followed was ludicrous to say the least. >> Good morning, please. Apartment. >> Yeah. >> Can you step out here and chat with me, please? >> You miracle? >> Yeah. What's up? >> Turn around your back and we'll talk. Why am I >> right now? You're just being right now. You're just being detained. Okay, we got called here in regards to a possible domestic situation. Okay, we're going to double like you said tired on you. >> All right. >> Again, you're just being detained right now. Can >> I step out here, please? Can >> you kind of tell us your side of things? Side of things. She came in the room and I was mad because she went over to somebody's house that has >> and so I was mad so I threw something at the mirror and then she would not stop coming in here and then um what' you call her? I threw something else at the door and she opened the door to hit her. So she pulled my hair and scratched my eye. >> Okay. Do you have any injuries? Is your eye >> I don't know but I know. >> Close your eyes. I'm going to This is going to be really bright. I just want to shine it and see if I can see any injuries and I don't want to Okay, turn your head the other way. >> Any on your arms or anything like that that you know? >> I don't know. Probably on my arm or on my >> Yeah. On your chest, you said? >> Yeah. >> What's the living situation with you guys? >> Me and his roommates. Okay. How long you guys lived here for? >> Like two years. >> Okay. She's got bite marks on her. Any idea where those came from? Maybe a cat. >> They're human bite marks. She's got fresh human bite marks, a couple of them. She's got scratches all over her neck and she's got uh some other injuries, too. Or those. >> She's been had scratches, but >> there are some old scratches on her neck, but there's new ones, too. >> I mean, yeah, we did get an escal out here. >> Okay. You don't remember biting her or anything like that? >> Okay. All right. >> Do you have anything in your room that needs to come with you? Phone, anything like that? Yeah. My phone. >> Okay. >> Is it just laying on the bed or what? >> Mhm. >> You have you got shoes you want to slide on? >> Yeah. Where am I going? >> You're you're under arrest for domestic assault. >> But she put her hands on me. >> I understand that. But the the story in any domestic situation, we have to determine primary aggressor. And the story that she's telling us makes sense with her injuries more than what you're telling me. >> But I was in the room. She came to me. >> Okay. But you guys were you were throwing stuff around before that. Yeah, but she came to me. She put her hands on me. I didn't put my hands on her. >> Okay. Obviously, something happened with her getting bit and scratched. She's got cuts all over and all this other stuff. And you don't have any injuries that I can see. Look, we have to determine a primary aggressor in this situation. We're not given a choice. We're mandated to make an arrest on a domestic situation, which this is cuz you guys live together. So even though even if you used to be dating but you're not no more, you don't got kids together, none of that stuff, it's still a domestic situation. So we got to make a determination. You're going to jail. You have your day in court and all that. You got shoes you want to slide on. >> Yeah. >> You can stand up and go. >> Yeah. First number first be 29 152 29 25 >> Can I put on >> What pants would you like? My phone's going to die. >> They got charged out at the jail for that. >> As Miracle was being addressed, officers circled back to the victim to gather all necessary evidence that would be used for further processing in the case. >> Okay. So, she was placed under arrest. Uh she's in our car right now. So, we have uh another officer coming with the camera to take some pictures of the bike mark and then the scratches and stuff like that. Um if you want to just kind of park over somewhere in the shaded area so it's a little closer for them. Um and then once we get pictures taken, we'll get her taken out of here. So, Yep. Yeah. So, she'll be served a no contact order before she leaves. Somebody with P County um will call you um when it is served to her and she will not be able to come back here um unless it's with officers to get stuff. Okay? Or else that would be a violation of no contact order. Any form of communication after she's been served is a violation. Okay? So, she tries to call you, she tries to text you, whatever. Don't reply. Don't answer the phone. Screenshot it. Give us a call. Um, I'm just going to have an officer take pictures of you real quick right here. Uh, we have a female officer coming because she's claiming she's got scratches on her chest. Clearly, I can't go and look at that. So, we're going to have a wait till female officer. Uh, we're going to have her go inside when we do that. So, she's not out in public exposing her chest. Uh, so if you just want to hang out in the car for a little bit longer till we can get that done and then um we'll get her out of here and then you can go back inside. So, if you just want to step out so he can take a few photos of you, that'd be great. >> Hi there. >> So, she's got an injury right here to the side of her nose, scratch on her hand, and then a bite mic on her right wrist. >> Couple bite marks. >> Couple bite marks. >> Okay. We'll get more close-up photos of the actual injuries. Okay. All right. Ready? When you are Okay. Let's start with the with the wrists. >> All right. There's a couple injuries so you can see >> here. You're shining the light a little bit uh higher. >> We got something back here. >> Yeah. Okay. And then the other wrist you did you say or >> I mean we got this and then another one over here for batteries in there. >> No, it said it was full when I got when I checked it out. So, and then >> I checked for batteries. >> Hold on. I got double A's patches behind the ear, just under the jawline, and then on the right cheek. Thank you. >> A female officer was later called to the scene as per Miracle's request to assess her body for any injuries she claimed her girlfriend inflicted on her during the fight. >> All right, Miracle, we got a female officer here, so we're going to walk back inside. Okay. >> Okay. >> Go around the front of the car. It's not working. >> Nope. >> Yep. >> We're going in this one. Yep. And it'll be the first apartment through the first not I'm pretty sure her brother just went upstairs. >> Okay. Maybe one police. >> I'm actually I just want to grab my house. >> Your keys? Okay. We'll we'll make I'll make sure those go. Um, this officer is just going to check you out. I'll be right here. >> Okay. See, you want to step back a little bit. Just we're not You said they're on your chest area. >> Yeah. On my arm. I don't know if you can see it, but >> Yeah. On the front side. I just I didn't see it. I just felt it. Sure. And then on my eye. I don't know. Can't lift your shirt up. the cat brain. No. Okay. Are you comfortable with it? With me lifting up your chest. Okay. And you said it's on your chest. Yeah. >> And who? And you said she scratched you. >> Yeah. And she pulled my hair. >> Okay. And then where are you showing your face? Yeah, on my eye. On my left eye. >> Okay, >> grab the cat. Oh, >> there we go. >> All right. When the assessment of Miracle's body showed no injuries of any sort, she was finally declared the primary aggressor [music] and immediately transported to the station. >> Okay. Uh, we're all good. You guys are good to go back inside. Um, do you have any other questions for me? Um, should I do Am I okay if I take her stuff like put it like put it all together? So, it's easy. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, all of your stuff that's so all of the stuff in there is considered shared property because you guys live together. Okay. in regards to whether she damaged your stuff before or she claims you damaged her stuff when she comes back to get her stuff. That's not anything we can criminally get involved with. That would be handled in the civil courts. So, if you want to bundle it all up, that's that's up to you. I can't tell you to do it or not to do it. >> Okay. Um, we lock the door. So, um, yeah. >> You guys recommend it cuz I just want her in and out. If you if you think it's going to be easier, by all means. >> Okay. >> So, um yeah, but we're going to take off. So, like I said, if she tries to show up here without the cop, call us. >> Okay. >> Cuz she cannot be here. She'll have a key. >> Yep. >> Okay. Um am I allowed to change the locks off? >> Yeah, if you want to do that. Yep. >> Okay. >> So, yeah, if she shows up here and we're not here, call us. >> Okay. >> Sound good? >> Okay. Yep. >> W. Yep. Okay. Let us know if you need anything. Okay. Miracle was later charged with domestic abuse [music] and
