Some relationships don't end with heartbreak. They end with handcuffs. >> She put the knife up to you. >> She held it up in her right hand. >> So, she just held it. >> Yeah. And looked at looked at me while I'm driving 60 mph with our child in the back seat. >> Do you have any diagnosis? What What's going on? Why are we acting like this? >> Yeah. Yay. I'm so happy. >> I am a girl. What do you mean? I'm going to jail for domestic battery. >> Girls can beat guys. >> I Oh, now we're spitting on cameras. GOD SPIT ON YOU TOO. HELL [screaming] FIRE. >> But in these cases, the women involved don't seem to care who goes to jail. >> Austin, they're trying to separate us again. >> Why are you smiling? THIS IS NOT FUNNY. EVERYBODY'S BEEN SEPARATING ME FROM MY BEST FRIEND. HE'S MY BEST FRIEND. >> Here are the times when psycho girlfriends don't mind that they're going to jail. Starting with this drunk and abusive young lady who confidently called the police on her own boyfriend and then put up the perfect victim act just to get him arrested, leaving the officers to uncover who the real problem was. >> He keeps like threatening me and taking all my poop to >> just take me home but in the room. I was punched several times. Fire. >> On the 17th of March 2026, officers were dispatched to a restaurant after reports of a possible domestic incident between a couple. By the time they arrived, she had already positioned herself as the victim, emotional and determined to make sure police saw her side first. But officers have seen enough nights like this to know that the first story is rarely the full one. Something about hers didn't sit right. >> All right. What's going on? >> She's going through some stuff today. >> Gotcha. [laughter] >> Sir, he will not leave the vehicle. me emotionally leave you me and I just want him to leave. Please. >> All right. So, just slowly what happened? >> Been drinking all day. She >> I have not been drinking all day. He emotionally me and I just want him to leave so I can get a room by myself and then leave. He just will not leave me alone. He keeps pushing me and he will not leave me alone. I [snorts and laughter] just I just wanted to >> Who is he to you? >> Is he your husband? >> He's my boyfriend. >> Your boyfriend? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. You guys been dating for a while? >> Okay. Did you come together here to Key West? Do you have a room together? Where are you guys staying >> at Key Resort? >> Okay. So, what happened today? Any physical interaction out there? Did he hit you? >> No. or just >> he just he gets he keeps getting in my bubble and I was defeating my smoke. >> So he's like you think he's shredding you or just you just [laughter] >> Are you afraid of him? >> I don't know what he will do now. He just keeps he keeps like [laughter] threatening me and taking all my like he keeps threatening to kick me out of the room and using money to hold me to him [snorts] saying that he will change the tickets to where I'm stranded here. And I have >> he has a storage unit in his name back home with all my stuff in it. And he keeps saying that if I leave that he'll throw all my stuff away if I leave him [laughter] and he's using money as a weapon against me. >> Once the boyfriend finally had the chance to speak, the entire picture started to change. What first looked like a simple case of an aggressive boyfriend and a frightened girlfriend quickly began to unravel into something very different. With every detail he gave, officers began to see that the person calling for help may have actually been the one creating the problem all along. >> I was the [snorts] one that was hit. Why aren't you asking for help? >> Well, well, my partners are dealing with that. So, I'm I'm >> the [ __ ] out of me in the room. >> Where where face? There's no marks cuz she can't hit that hard, >> right? Where you guys from visiting from Kansas? Kansas. >> So, uh, did you arrive in car or flew in or just >> We flew in into Miami after a grueling day yesterday. >> It was very stressful. >> Okay. Throughout the So, you guys are living with each other like in a living. >> We don't live together. >> How long you've been dating for? >> Um, a little over a year. >> A little over a year. >> Yeah. Sorry, I'm losing my voice. >> No, it's all good. Um, do you have ID on you? >> We decided, yep, we're going to go out to dinner. Calm down. When she walked out of dinner, obviously there's the dinner. I came out here and said, "Take me home." And that's when she called. I said, "Just take me home." But in the room, I was punched several times by her, >> right? Several times. Uh, so u And what was the fight about? >> Just I'm wife. >> Yeah. But I still not caused for her to put her hands on you in the beginning. >> Like we were making up and then things were fine. >> But it just kept getting escalating more and more and I thought we could have a nice dinner. And that's why we came here. And he just kept being disrespectful and saying very underhanded, mean things to me. And I just couldn't take it. I walked out. >> What kind of things? Like >> he kept saying like [snorts] how I can't be a a oneman woman. And um sorry. It's just very hurtful talking about how I'm selfish and that I don't know how to love. >> What What about like did he threatened you like with physical harm or >> No. Did he lay the hands on you for any chance with through all this interaction ever before? >> It's all emotional. >> It's all emotional. >> Yeah. And he would just get really close in my bubble. >> Okay. So basically just you just feel that much. >> I told him like I left dinner and you cast the weight staff cuz I was upset. [snorts] >> Okay, I understand. >> And you never put your hands on her. You just >> Nope. Not a single time. >> So what led her to call today? >> She's got issues. She's going through I'm trying to help. >> Drinking does not help. We drank all day. Okay. >> Sit down then. I'll be right with you. >> Yeah. Don't Don't start it. All right, sir. I'm officer at Kuboski. So, uh, basically what what's going on? What what happened? >> We were in the Airbnb, whatever you want to call it, hotel room. We were fighting, hit me, slapped me a cup head a couple times. We come out to eat, thought it'd be okay. She walked out of dinner. As you can see, two full meals and got back in the car. She walked, she walked away, said, "Hey, take me back to the room." Then got in the car, said, "I'll take you home." Started fighting again and >> ended again. >> Yeah. But there's been no physical occupation other than the room when she hit me. When she hit me, I need when she >> I don't care about [ __ ] I really don't care about pitting. I just want to get back in my goddamn room. I want to fly hot. >> Did she hit you like with an open hand? >> We were at dinner. >> What stood out most was how calm and respectful he remained even while accusations were being thrown at him. >> What about in the room? Was it >> That's where it was. That was one of the fights. And he said that he was sorry. And that's why we came to dinner cuz we were like, "Let's make up." And that's why we came to dinner. And he was still being nasty. And that's And he passed the weight staff. I walked down to dinner cuz I'm not going to be he was still being very disrespectful. And I wasn't going to do that anymore. And you can ask the weight staff. I was crying the whole time >> why he was yelling at me. >> And we didn't fly here. We had to drive from Miami to here to get our vacation. And the vacation is obviously ruined. >> Mhm. Um was she drinking the day? >> Oh yeah. All day long. >> Okay. Um >> I mean all day long. I say from 10:00 10:30. >> We started walking downtown, went back to the hotel room. We did take a nap. >> After the nap, she went outside. I was getting ready, ironing clothes inside. That's when she slapped me. Uh, >> so the story he's telling is that you slapped him. Is that true? >> He's a dream squad. He's very manipulative. That's what he's been doing. >> I waited. >> He's very good at it. >> He's a salesman. I waited until >> that's what he's doing right now. >> And I I don't about it. I just want to get this stuff. I want everybody to get home safe. That's what I want. >> I left a 20-year marriage because of emotional and mental and this is triggering all of it and I just I just want to leave it. [snorts] >> Wow. like you know they they say after a long marriage you know like [laughter] you tend to get another relationship that's similar and I never believed it. >> You guys sat down to eat and what what happened from there? >> She started talking about a friend who asked her to give her daughter a recommendation for a snow cone shop. >> Okay. I said, "Why do you need a recommendation for a snow cone shop?" It set her off because she felt >> important because she got asked to give a recommendation. She walked out. >> She's going through women. It's fine. But then, yeah, she left. She said she was walking around. I get came out here and said, "Hey, give me back." >> And then what happened out here? >> She come walking up here. We sat in the vehicle. She called. >> Just called just out of nowhere. You guys were >> get out the vehicle. I said, "I can't get out the vehicle. I don't give a fuck." >> Okay. >> I was like, "Take me back. We'll figure this out." >> That's what I'm trying to get through. I'm just trying to get the full picture, right? >> Um, so you guys sat in the vehicle, started arguing some more. I I take it. >> Yeah. For 3 to 5 minutes. >> Okay. Uh, she was telling you to get out. >> I didn't get out. She called. >> You didn't get out? Then she called. >> I was like, screw it. You're going to do this. >> Okay. That's what I needed. >> But emotions don't outweigh evidence. And under the law, sympathy only goes so far. As officers worked through the details, the facts started to point in one direction. And it wasn't the one she was hoping for. the version of events she tried so hard to sell was collapsing under its own weight. >> So Natasha uh Florida uh is very strict when it comes to any um between people who are in relationship uh state uh wants to make sure that everybody are getting safe for that investigation. I've uh investigated that you were aggressor. I need you to step out of the vehicle right now for me please. >> He was the aggressor too. Well, you you said that you put the hand on him, right? >> Turn around and put the hands behind your back. On me, too. I love you, too. >> Fortunately, the state doesn't leave us any other choice than actually do the preferred arrest. At this point, Natasha, you are under arrest for domestic battery. >> Okay. >> I have 102. Come one. I got to want a few in custody. >> So, >> yeah. Just >> What would you like first and go and step back for me? >> Yeah. Hold back. >> He was just watch. Sarah, what's going to happen now? >> I'm sorry. >> What's going to happen now? >> So, right now, you're going to be taken to Monroe County Detention Facility. Will you'll be booked under Okay. >> Oh my god. Am I going to lose my job? >> No. You [laughter] What What do you do for work? >> I'm a teacher. >> I I would assume not. No. To be quite honest, your your boyfriend is already trying to drug. [laughter] However, in the state of Florida, we do not allow a victim to deter. >> You'll have to be given a bond and bailed out of jail in the morning. Okay. >> Oh my god. I'm staying there all night. >> Yes, ma'am. [laughter] >> In the end, the woman who called the police expecting her boyfriend to be arrested ended up leaving in handcuffs herself. She was charged with domestic battery. The last girlfriend thought that playing the victim would save her, but this one took things even further, turning a simple welfare check into a full-blown fight with officers. >> Baby, baby, this >> Y'all are getting on my nerves. >> This This didn't have to happen. >> Is my face clear, America? On the 12th of October 2024, officers were dispatched to a residence for a welfare check involving a couple in the middle of a heated argument with reports indicating one person was becoming increasingly aggressive. From the moment officers arrived, it was clear the woman at the center of it all would not be easy to deal with. So, what's going on tonight? >> Don't worry about it. Just let me in here try to get my out of here. >> Okay. I got to talk to both of you guys. >> Okay, cool. I don't Come on. >> Hey, I I haven't done anything. >> Okay, girl. I ain't got no glasses. I can't even see right now. Get out of my face. >> I'm not in your face. >> Stop. Please. >> I cannot see. I need glasses. >> Can you Can you get her glasses, please? >> Thank you. >> So, what's going on tonight? >> I can't see. I need glasses. Do you not see? I'm damn blind. >> Okay. Please back up. >> Lady, don't put your hands on me. I got close. So, what's going on? Are you guys having an argument? >> You guys having an argument? What's going on? >> Let me have this together. >> I can let you out as soon as I finish this conversation with both of you. Glasses is broken. >> Okay, that's fine. >> Okay, I have my partner in here in a little bit. Okay, there's nothing in them. Do you still want them? I cannot see either way what the you need. >> Baby, baby, baby. This >> y'all are getting on my nerves. >> This this this didn't have to happen. If you stay I've been married to this woman for 7 years. It's a miracle that today is the day that this glasses is broken. >> So, it's it's been a lot of property damage. >> Okay. >> Stuff. >> Okay. And it's like it's like my relationship was on that that if it breaks, you know, you you can save her. This I I was trying to get her to bed, but just stay in bed. Let me set it up. She wasn't staying. And I I didn't know what >> I was I was making the sheets so you could stay. >> Okay. Anyway, it was on the floor and I didn't see. I didn't see what I stepped on. >> The glasses. >> That's why >> I already like both outside the hotel room. >> Give me my phone. >> Let's see what's happening. >> I don't give a Give me my phone. >> I don't. >> Where is her phone? >> Give me my phone. Truck. >> Okay. Give me the truck key so I can get my >> temple. I'll hand them to you. They're not really pin, but so why are we getting into sorting? >> Instead of cooperating or allowing officers to sort out what happened, she immediately pushed back, [music] forcing the situation into something far more difficult than it needed to be. I have to talk to both of you guys. Okay. I have to. My partner's going to come here. I have to. >> Okay. I miss my grandma. Oo. Yeah. Okay. That's it. >> So, why are we screaming about like knives or like weapons and all? >> Ain't nobody screaming about no goddamn weapons. Did you see any weapons? >> I'm not saying I saw him, but that's what our dispatchers told me heard in the background. >> Okay. Ah. You mind standing out there for a little bit until my partner gets here? Thank you. I'll be I'll be in the room. Okay. >> Okay. So, we're upset about our grandma. >> Did anything physical happen between you guys? >> I have to ask these questions. This is per our policy in the state of Illinois. Heard you guys travel a lot. You come to Illinois a lot. >> Oh my god. Well, if you don't, that's our law, so I have to. So, I'm going to keep bothering you with these questions until you answer them. >> Hello, Daddy. Can you please, please tell these people to leave me alone? Hello? Can you hear me? Can you tell these people that you're about to come for me and you about to send me a a ticket so that I don't kill? Talk to talk to this police officer apparently here cuz I'm that crazy. Take the damn thing. >> Is this your father? >> I'm I'm asking you genuine question. Is this your father? >> Who knows? >> Do you know? Back up. >> What you mean back up? >> Back up. I'm talking to my partner who's trying to come down the hallway. >> Oh, okay. >> I'm not taking your phone. Please take a seat. >> Uh-uh. I'mma stand I'm going stand right there. GIRL, YOU AIN'T GOING TO TAKE my phone nowhere. >> Okay. >> Okay. Come on. Where's the partner to come? >> He's right down there. >> Okay. >> Tell your turn around. Turn around. Sorry. >> Who the is Bill? >> Hello. [snorts] Oh, can you talk to him, please? >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, you're going to go live with your father in California. >> Of course. >> Okay. Do you guys have Do you have any diagnosis? What What's going on? Why are we acting like this? >> Yeah. Yay. I'm so happy. >> Okay. Do you have any thoughts of yourself or anyone else tonight? I have to ask these questions. They're mental health questions. Okay. >> Do you have thoughts of yourself or anyone else? All of these if these people do not just leave me alone. >> She been drinking. >> Those were out here. >> Over [snorts] here. >> She was standing out. >> What we got? You have domestic. >> She won't answer any of my questions. >> All right. >> Her behavior suggested intoxication. There was something about her reactions that went beyond just alcohol. It wasn't simple confusion or frustration. It was [music] unpredictability that made officers cautious as they tried to figure out what they were really dealing with. >> All right, ma'am. I'm also there at the police department. My camera is on. I need to talk to you about what happened because you kind of need to talk about your side of the story because from his side of the story isn't we we got one side. I need to hear your story. >> What you mean my story? >> How do you get the giant scratch mark across his back? >> Talk to him. >> No, he wasn't there. >> Well, he's a guy, so I feel like that's better. >> No. No, it's not. You were You and him were in the room. He has a giant scratch mark across his back. I don't need to know how he got that. See my my glasses. They're broken. I'm a black lier. Chad do all of this. 401 custody out here. You >> give that to him. >> Give that to who? >> Do you want someone to go with him? >> To go with who? >> Him. >> The Illinois statue. She has to go to jail. >> She has to. >> She has to. It's not our choice. >> It's David. >> Come on. We're going this way. We're going this way. Ma'am, we are going this way to the car. You're going to jail. What are we doing? >> You stepping on my feet. What you mean? What I'm doing? >> A Kimmy. >> Okay. Okay, Kimmy. Okay. Be an activist, not an activist. Come on. Okay. All right. I guess I'm just got All right. Ah, I'm the wiz. Woo. 80s. Hey, >> can we just say this? >> Board, you can explain to him I got from here. >> Thank you, Rosa. >> While officers remained professional and controlled, she treated the entire encounter like it was something she could dominate through attitude alone. In her mind, she seemed untouchable, acting as if being just a girl would shield her from the consequences already building around her. >> There's a door. I I I do not hate that. >> Okay. It is best rapper alive. Okay. I I am the best rapper alive. All right. He not >> All right. I'm going to read you something. All right. This is your opportunity to talk. [laughter] All right. >> You have the right to remain silent. You say anything you say can will be used against you in court of law. You have right to talk to a lawyer and have him him or her present with you while you're being questioned. If you cannot afford to hire a lawyer won't be appointed representing for any question if you wish you decide any time not to exercise these rights and I answer any questions make any statements ma'am do you understand those rights I right there >> given that do you wish to speak about this incident tell me what happened >> I will only speak about wee wee >> who who's weiw wee >> me >> are you wee wee >> all right what did we do in the room >> hello >> how did your guy friend get the large scratch across his back that is now still >> I'll scare you >> cuz you have long nails. It appear that looked like >> I love news. >> Yeah, it appears it's from a nail mark from a scratch. He also said you slapped him in the face. >> Oh, okay. His mama. Okay, you know what? I Well, I I'mma give up the story. His mom is a goddamn demon. She slapped her in my face. All this type she's a goddamn devil. And that's why I'm in handcuffs right now because of godamn my mom. >> Can you tell me how he got the scratch mark? >> I don't know. >> All right. Were you guys laying in bed together? >> Yes. >> Were you guys cuddling? >> I mean, were you were you listening to music? >> Were you laying on top of him? >> No, I was listening to music. >> You were not. And were you guys How much space do you guys have between each other and the bed? >> I wasn't even sitting on the bed. I was sitting on the couch. You sitting on the couch the entire time? >> Yes. >> You guys at no point were st both laying in the bed. >> No, I kept going to the bathroom. I was going to I was literally >> No, I'm I'm just closing my handcuff case. It was open cuz they're on you. Um >> Oh. >> So, so he's telling me that you guys were laying in bed. Uh you're obviously agitated right now. >> Yeah, cuz I got on me. >> Like I said, they're not built to be comfortable. And at some point you slap him in the face twice. He tells you to calm down. He's pat he's like he's like stroking your head to calm you down cuz apparently that's what calm you calms you down. >> No, it don't. >> Okay. >> Y'all don't know what calms you down. >> I don't. This is coming from him. >> Exactly. He don't know what calms me down. Don't nobody know point. There's a struggle between you two. You scratched his back. >> History calms me down. That's what calms me down. Research schooling. >> All right. Learning. >> Let's talk about Let's talk about some history and the fact of what happened like 30 minutes ago. Okay. >> All right. What happened 3 minutes ago in that room? >> What you mean? What happened 3 minutes ago? >> How did he get the scratch or coming out of it? >> I don't know. Maybe >> it is a fresh wound. It's not like it just it was like a months ago. >> Do I have fingernails in order to make that happen? >> You My fingernails can do that. >> Look at my [clears throat] face. Are you serious? >> I've never met you in my life. I don't know what you're about. >> I'm just asking. That is a fresh do you think I am? >> That is a fresh wound. There's coming out of that wound, ma'am. I just How? All right. All right. We're going to put you in the car from now until I get her. All right. Step in the vehicle. >> I need my phone. >> I'll get your phone. I promise I'll get your phone. >> You >> can you get in the car so I can close the door. >> Why I need my phone? I'm not going to jail. >> I'm going to Yes, you are. >> How am I going to jail for >> domestic battery? >> Are you serious? >> Yes. >> I am a girl. What do you mean? I'm going to jail for domestic battery. >> Girls can beat guys. >> A They can. >> They can. I'm sure they can. >> I've arrested plenty females for doing that. >> Guys do it, too. It's not It's not one It's a two-way street. >> Yeah, of course it is. >> What is your deal? >> Have you ever been beat? Like, I don't know. Have you ever felt pain? Have you? >> Yeah. My dad beat me as a child severely. >> Oh, that sucks. >> Okay. >> I've been beat too. >> I don't understand why we're being like this. >> Okay. Well, >> get in the car. Ma'am, get in the car. Come on. What you mean? >> Get in the car. I'm tell I'm getting in the law. Get in the car. Get in the car. >> Don't touch my leg. >> Now, it wasn't longer a question of whether she would be taken into custody, but how quickly things would escalate if she kept resisting. She already been identified as the primary aggressor. Her resistance only made the situation more serious, especially as she began directing that aggression toward the officers themselves. >> You were doing a lot of typing back there. >> What are you typing at? >> The report. Report for what? So I get off this damn hand. >> No jello weekend. >> You have got to be a goddamn lie. >> Nope. >> See judge Monday. >> What judge? >> The judge. >> Who? >> Whichever one they hit. >> Who pit? >> You know. Do you realize that you put these handcuffs on me because of the simple fact that you told me that I wasn't doing something right? >> No. I established probable cause for your arrest for domestic battery. That's why I placed handcuffs on you. >> Even though my face is up, too, right? >> I don't see your face. >> Oh, you can't see my face. >> What's your face? >> You can't see my face. Are you serious? >> Blemishes. >> Blemishes. >> Yeah. >> Are you You don't see You don't see no scratches on my face. >> My face is clear. Yeah, you didn't say anything about that. >> Is my face clear? America, >> why don't you want to talk about that when I read your Miranda? You said nothing happened. You guys were never near each other. >> Because why wouldn't you tell me that my was all over the internet? >> What are you talking about? >> Okay, >> I asked you, were you guys ever together? And the says, "No, I was listening to music. We were never in >> I was listening to music. It's cameras in the goddamn thing." >> In the what? >> In the room. >> There are not cameras in the room. It's illegal. Great. Yeah, sure. This is illegal. What you're doing to me right now is literally illegal. >> No, it's not. How? No, it's not. >> I don't even got no shoes on my feet. All I wanted to do was leave outside of the room. That's all I wanted to do. And ain't nobody letting me do >> Okay. All right. That should be loose. This loose thing. >> No, it's not loose. Just take them off. >> I'm not taking them off. >> I'm not going to DO TO YOU, BRO. NO, >> it's not how this works. While we're doing that, we're not being on the phone. >> Okay. All I did was literally ask my [ __ ] my phone this whole time. Let me call my daddy. >> No, ma'am. We're not doing that, >> man. Bro, >> why? >> Why staring at me? Stop having stare at me. Stop having staring at me. Stop. >> Stop having to stare at me >> cuz you're in custody. It's called camera footage. >> Okay. Well, I don't want no camera footage. Get it off of me. >> No, you're not going to continue touching my stuff. >> Okay. Well, stop touching my >> You're not going to be on the camera. Stop. You're acting like a child. >> Ma'am, get on my nerves. I'm >> Man, give me my Bro, all I literally >> You do not have a right to that. Sit down, >> bro. ALL I ASKED YOU FOR WAS MY WHEELS AT THE GODDAMN [screaming] HOTEL. >> HEY, >> STUPID. >> YEAH. All right. >> Sit down. Sit down, >> man. All right. >> Hey Joe, can you send that? Uh, we're good. You sent back to police officer. All right, got that charge. Wonderful. Bloomington. Yep. I sure will. All good. Thanks. Just ask me my custody you just gave me. >> Okay. All right. >> So, now we're spitting on cameras. >> I spit ON YOU TOO. HELL FIRE. [screaming] HEY, CAN WE GET A SPIT hood and just spit on me? >> Can we get a spit hood? [snorts] >> I want you to spit on us. >> You got me. In the end, she was charged with domestic battery, an aggravated battery on a police officer. Compared to the last woman who made her arrest worst by attacking police, this girlfriend was convinced that she had done nothing wrong at all, even after pulling a knife during an argument. >> She held it up in her right hand. >> So, she just held it. >> Yeah. And looked at looked at me while I was on driving 60 mph with our child in the back seat. >> He didn't like choked me, but not like that. I mean, I choked myself. He didn't choke me. On the 8th of November 2025, a man drove himself to the police station to file a report against his girlfriend, alleging that she had damaged his vehicle and threatened him during a dispute. From the onset, officers were dealing with a situation that was clearly more serious than a verbal argument, especially given how urgently he felt the need to report it in person. What's going on? >> Uh, last night. It's my birthday. >> Happy birthday. >> Thank you. I'm 34 now. >> What What can you tell me about tonight? I heard that busted your windshield. >> Yes, she's in the parking lot with our toddler in the car. >> Okay. >> As far as I know. >> So, she's still in the car right now? >> Yes. >> 16. Can you come out here? >> Okay. >> What's on? >> Uh, so suspect still might be in the vehicle. I'm just going to make sure she doesn't >> Yeah. I'm just making sure she's not free to go so I can go talk to him. Which which cars is it? This one? >> Yeah. He broke the windshield while they were driving. Uh that's why he's still in the car. If you want to go see >> our baby in the back seat. >> Okay. Just to make sure cuz I guess last time he said that she dipped out before things got settled. So I just want to make sure someone's with her so she doesn't leave if she's a suspect in this. Yeah, that's right. >> Okay, cool. >> When officers spoke with him, his account added a disturbing layer to the incident. He claimed that during the confrontation, his girlfriend had brandished a weapon while their toddler was inside the vehicle. That detail alone turned the issue from a domestic dispute into something far more alarming. >> We were driving later. I took her word that she wasn't going to stab me. >> Mhm. >> She started kicking out the window after we got out of Pine Hills. >> Mhm. And the I guess the mirror busted it, you know, >> knocked the mirror off and that's where it's mostly shattered. >> Okay. >> Other than that, you know, the the bumper. >> Are you getting the 28? >> Cool. >> The handle of the knife's in my left hand on my left hand right now. >> Okay. And where's the blade at? >> I don't know. I was looking for it. Never never recovered. >> Okay. So, who who owns that vehicle? >> It's my mother's. >> Your mother's? >> Okay. >> Basically, what I I just need a report. So, I get property fixed. >> So, your mom would have to call up here since it's her property. Considering this all happened, she's the victim in this, not necessarily you. However, you are a victim of assault and it'd be aggravated assault considering it was with a knife. So, do you want to do anything about that? >> Uh, I can always do what she does, press charges, and then not show up to court. >> Okay. Is where where'd she put the knife up to you at? >> She held it up in her right hand. >> So, she just held it? >> Yeah. and looked at looked at me while I was on driving 60 mph with our child in the back seat. >> Where's the blade? >> I don't know. >> You don't know where the blade is, but it's possibly in this car. >> Possibly. I I've asked her to give it to me. She said she threw it out with the handle. There was where she threw it out. There's no reason why didn't >> Okay, let me talk to her. >> You guys can go back inside. I'll talk to her real fast. >> When officers finally made contact with the young lady, she presented an entirely different version of events. Like most abusive partners, she strongly believed that she had done nothing wrong. >> I won't make you get out if that window rolls down. >> Does the window roll down at all? >> No. >> Do what? >> No. >> No. Okay. What happened tonight? >> Nothing. I went to my house. Um >> you you >> I knocked it. >> Okay. And it broke the windshield. Okay. What What's he saying about a knife? Oh. Uh, well, I was scooting in the park, honestly. So, I had my my grandma said, "Here," and I have my little pocket knife with me. I figured out the door and he's like, "Why'd you have a pocket a pocketk knife on you?" And then I had to explain to him and we was out there for like 30 minutes. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, what does he have in his pocket? He's got a a handle of >> Huh. >> I don't know. I have no clue. >> Okay. Is >> Oh, that's probably from this. Yeah, that's >> Well, no. So, it's a handle to some. It's like a a a like a metal >> like chromeish hand. Not chrome, but like like a silverish handle to something and it looked like it could be a kitchen knife. >> No clue. >> Okay. So, he was saying that you were driving down the highway and you raised it up at him. >> No, I wasn't. Well, I don't I wasn't driving, so I'm going to >> No, no, I'm talking about when he was driving. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm sorry. So, yeah. >> Okay. So, so he said that you rose it up at him and stuff, huh? >> No, I didn't rose it up. No, I threw it out the window. >> And he I was like I was like, "Well, what could I like and I was like I threw it out real quick." He's like, "What the?" And I was like, "Well, I wasn't going to." He's like, "Yeah." He's like, "Why the heck did you have that?" And then we went on for like 30 minutes of why. So, I don't know. Okay. So, why were you scared to get in a vehicle with him? >> Um, well, I was a little scared to get in the vehicle with him, but he came in my house like unexpectedly got him really unexpectedly again, but we'll get together. So, >> right. >> Um, I don't know. I think this time I'm just going to like not fall again. >> Okay. >> But he's done this before. He's like literally like he threw up against a tree. He's He literally almost me one time. He um I went through this before them. He like choked me but not like that. I mean I choked myself. He didn't choke me. I don't remember what I don't remember. I think it was >> okay. When you guys were driving down the road, you just randomly pulled out a knife and it was just like look what I have. And he was like, "What the?" And then he threw it out the window. >> Why? Why'd you bring out a pocketk knife? I grew up on it with my brother to guess he knows how he is going to be and she didn't know if he was going to cuz he I mean he came in he was like hey you know and she's just like hello like we've been through this again and he's like well what's up and I'm like hey what's up >> huh >> he he has knives in here >> and I just brought me a little one >> let me let me grab that real fast Here. This is his. >> Okay. >> And then there's And I don't know why there there's all kinds of stuff in here. >> And I didn't stab him. I >> I mean, I would never >> clearly cuz he's not. >> The issue became whether what she displayed qualified as a weapon or something she believed she could justify as self-defense. Officers were shown different items and had to carefully assess what had actually been used during the argument and whether her explanation held any legal weight. >> So, this was in the vehicle. It has something on. That's okay. >> So, this isn't the one that she >> No, it's definitely this one. >> Can I Can I see that real fast? So, this isn't one of the like barbecue forks. It's This was a knife cuz I don't see a edge on it at all on either side. Both sides are flat. >> It had a point on it. I know. >> It had a point. This is what he had. This was the handle. What is this? >> That's the one that I had. >> That's the one that you had? >> Yeah, that's the one I took out my grandma's. >> Gotcha. Where's the blade at? >> Uh, I don't know. >> You You don't know? I have no clue. >> Okay. But this is the one that you picked up and was just like, "Look what I've got." >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Was anything attached to that? >> No. Yeah. A blade was a blade was attached to that. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> Why was that in your pocket? >> Oh, this had this? >> Yeah. >> Because uh I took it because I was I just in case something happened and I didn't have a way to get out of the situation I was in. >> So, you took it with you as a weapon? >> No, not as a weapon, sir. Um, I took it with me so when if something did happen to me, I could, you know, get out of the situation. Like if I got to defend yourself with a weapon on the side of the road or >> But it but it would be used as a weapon to >> defend yourself. Correct. >> Not a weapon, but >> Well, what else would you use it as? To get out of a situation. >> I mean, I have a blade. >> Okay. So, why would you take it with you if it's not good as a weapon? To get yourself out of the situation. I don't know why you would have taken it if it wasn't going to be a weapon to get out in a situation. But we came straight here. We was just arguing. I didn't I never used it against him. Like I mean I never like really like harmed him or anything. So when you held it, did you threaten him? >> No. >> Okay. >> How'd you hold it? Can you show us? >> No, I didn't. I didn't threaten him or anything. I like what I got. And I was like And then he was like And I was like And I threw it out the window and he was like, "What the?" He's like, "You really going to I was like, "No, never do that." He was like, and I got out and I'm helping him find the logic and all that and we went >> where did that occur at >> that was cuz we was arguing before that. Um, but we weren't arguing. We were just like I was in argument basically trying to get through something. So yeah, but I'm not at all. >> Cool. All right. Go ahead and step out for me. >> Okay. >> I get the 100%. But even as officers laid out the consequences clearly, she continued to act as if intent alone erased the seriousness of her actions, showing little understanding of how quickly the situation had escalated beyond her control. >> Yes. Yes, you are under arrest for aggravated assault. >> Go ahead and step out. Yep. Go ahead and step out. >> Are you serious? >> Yes, ma'am. Go ahead and step out. >> I didn't touch him with that. >> Uh, you don't have to for aggravated assault. Go ahead and step out. >> Go ahead, Chelsea. Go ahead and step out. Don't >> I'm not going to give you any more options. Go ahead and step on that. >> Okay, >> Chelsea, go ahead and unbutton the seat belt point. >> I can't even touch him with that. Are you serious? This is way more than I can afford. >> Go ahead and unbuckle yourself. >> Elsie, go ahead and do it. Okay. >> Serious? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Please. >> No. >> We're going to go ahead and do this. Okay. Come on. Do it. >> I didn't even have a blade. Hold the seat belt, please. That's it. Come on. >> Put your hands behind your back. Okay. >> Do you have anything? >> Lay on your stomach. >> Get on your stomach. Get on your stomach now. >> Put your arm back. >> That was stupid. >> I'm so scared. >> Go ahead. Yep. >> I always hate my [ __ ] hand. >> I bet that hurt. >> All right, stand up. >> Thanks. >> Oh, wow. All right. >> I'm hungry. Hold on. Hold on. Literally. >> All right. I'm so hungry. >> Yeah, girl. I did. >> County 29 log 195. Let the jail know we're coming straight in. This just happened in the parking lot. Sorry for the no heads up. >> I don't want to go in here. [laughter] >> I really don't. >> Well, you're definitely going now. about it. >> I say if you want to come in, you can. But >> they're coming. >> In the end, the woman was charged with assault and resisting arrest. If you thought jealousy was already as controlling as it could get, this case proves otherwise, involving a young woman whose behavior went far beyond possessiveness and into something far more isolating. pretty last name. Then Austin, please come back to me. >> Don't Don't SHUT THE DOOR, AUSTIN. AUSTIN, NO. AUSTIN, NO. AUSTIN, HE'S SMILING. On the 23rd of November, 2023, officers were called to a residence in Ohio over reports involving a stolen laptop and a missing mobile phone. But this wasn't their first time dealing with the address. Days earlier, they had already conducted a welfare check on a man named Austin after his mother raised concerns that he had been cut off from his family by a woman he was staying with. When his sister later went to see him herself, those concerns only deepened. By the time officers returned, they were stepping into a situation that was already far more serious than a simple property dispute. >> Austin, you have his stuff. >> I don't have his stuff. >> Stuff. I asked you to get your things nicely. >> Austin, his stuff is everywhere. Austin. Austin. No, you don't. >> I promise. >> Austin, they're trying to separate us again if I get to stay with him. >> Listen, you two can step outside together. Come here. >> But everybody, Austin, protect our stuff. Make everybody come outside, Austin. Everybody, don't leave anybody in here alone with your stuff. I'm trying to protect both of our trying to separate. >> Let me take the sister. >> Okay. >> Let me take the sister. Come here. >> They're trying to separate us. Look, you cannot separate us from this. >> Do me a favor. Downstairs for me. I'll come back down here and talk to you in a minute. >> She won't get back. His computer together. Plug it in. All they care about is your computer and your phone. Think about it because that's >> that's all mine. That's >> your sister. Back up. Back up. Why does he care about your computer phone? Why do that? Because that's what you can have. You know that. Why do you don't tell him where? I don't. He was getting ready to plug it in. Why are you separating us? >> Austin, you're protecting Austin. >> Austin, they're separating Austin. >> Austin, please. >> You want her in the house with you, >> Austin? >> I was just trying to help her to get >> You want her to stay in the house with you? >> What the hell? What's going on? >> I need to figure out you want them to leave. >> No, separate us. Austin, >> you want them to stay or do you want her to leave? >> Austin, your family didn't even want you to spend Thanksgiving. >> Thanksgiving together. Austin. >> Stop talking. >> But stop talking. >> Hey, listen. Listen. >> Last time. Stop talking for 5 minutes and let me talk to him. You got me. Listen. see him. Stop. >> Can you talk to us together? >> No. I'm talking to Austin. >> Cuz this is in Boston. Exactly. Look, >> we can never be together. Why? >> Just wait. I am talking to him. I'm not trying to take >> I'm not trying to take him away. >> What's going on either? >> If you just wait. If you wait 5 minutes and let me talk to Austin. >> No, cuz he has to talk to him first. Fine. Austin here together. Stop. When officers tried to speak with Austin, his girlfriend immediately became defensive, visibly unsettled by their presence. What should have been a routine conversation quickly turned into suspicion and panic on her end. >> This is your place. You tell me what you want. >> And that's what's going to happen. I know if I don't get >> You just don't know what you want. >> No, we're not. >> WHY DOES IT INVOLVE his safety? All I care about is property, not his safety. Listen, I'm going to tell you one more time, okay? I need you to calm down. >> All they care about is your property, not your safety. >> Think about it. That's all everybody's asking for is your property. >> Last name then, Austin, please come back to me. >> She's probably going to get a little bit hairier cuz I'm going to take him downstairs. Come on. >> Let's go downstairs and talk. >> Don't separate your last name. >> I'm not I'm not trying to take you away from your place. I just want to take you downstairs. So then you can actually talk to me without her. >> You save me. All right. And if you if you settle down right now, >> don't settle down. If you don't leave my side, settle down. They come to me. Don't leave me. Don't go down there. Don't go down there. Don't leave me. Austin, please don't leave the grave. Austin, don't do anything. >> Hey, listen. >> He's trying to block our sight. Austin, >> will you listen to me? >> Hey, Austin, remember your dad wants to talk to you who you've been missing for 24 hours. You're winning. Austin. >> Awesome. >> You're good. She She might freak out for a minute. If you want to go down there and talk, go ahead and go down and talk. >> Listen, don't quit freaking out. Settle down. And >> as long as you stay with me, Austin, >> he's going to go talk to his dad on the phone. >> Why do they want to separate us? They won't even let me out, too. You You have to come to me. Can I >> Listen, Austin, look at me. >> Don't give it to them, Austin. Don't give >> Don't show them where it's at. >> Listen, >> don't show them yet. Can I come in? Austin. Austin. Austin, don't show them. You have to plug my phone in. Austin, your Austin, don't show them. Don't. DON'T SHUT THE DOOR. AUSTIN. AUSTIN. NO. AUSTIN. NO. AUSTIN. HE'S SMILING. LET ME IN. AUSTIN. Just calm down. >> Austin. AUSTIN. THEY'RE SMILING. LET ME IN. DON'T GIVE IT TO NO. YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN HURT. >> Put your hands on me. You're going to get AUSTIN. AUSTIN, YOU'RE OUT. AUSTIN, YOU HAVE TO SAVE ME. AUSTIN, DON'T GIVE HIM. What the is going on? >> Austin. Austin. >> Officers pressed further. Her behavior escalated from defensive to openly aggressive. Instead of cooperating, she began fighting back physically, turning what was meant to be a calm inquiry into a confrontation that forced officers to take her actions more seriously. >> AUSTIN, COME ON. THEY'RE GOING TO TAKE ME AWAY. HE SAID I COULD STAY. I HAVE IT BROKEN DOWN. HE SAID I COULD STAY. >> LISTEN, just calm down. Okay, calm down. Austin, open the door. >> OPEN THE DOOR, AUSTIN. I CAN'T SEE YOU. >> LET GO. LET HIM OPEN THE DOOR. >> NO, the door's not open. >> Austin. Austin, please don't show them. AUSTIN, THEY JUST GOT US SEPARATED. THEY GOT ME ON THE OUTSIDE AND YOU ON THE END. >> AUSTIN. >> HEY, LISTEN. There's people sleeping. >> Austin, >> I'm going to need you to calm down. >> What is he doing? >> He's talking. >> Austin, they're going to arrest me. >> Austin. >> Hey, >> STOP. >> STOP. >> YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO DO THIS. YOU HAVE TO LET US SEE EACH OTHER. YOU'RE BREAKING THE RULES. AUSTIN. AUSTIN. AUSTIN. Sit down here. >> Hey, watch out. I'm going to walk out. Austin, can I still say Austin? Can I come back in? >> Austin, can I come in? >> Austin, can I come in? >> Hey, listen. You're >> going to give me You would like >> Austin, right? So, all you have to do is end this. >> Let come up. Who's on the phone? The fun. Austin, can I come in? What? They're going to My stuff's in there. >> Okay. They're going to talk. >> I need to No one's going to talk. >> Austin, my dog's in there. Can I come in? Austin, >> they're not letting me in. >> Don't shut the door. >> Listen, >> AUSTIN. AUSTIN, DON'T LEAVE. AUSTIN, DON'T SHUT THE DOOR. AUSTIN. >> HEY, STOP. >> NO. >> YOU JUST GRABBED ME. OKAY. >> EVERYBODY'S BEEN HURTING ME AND I DON'T KNOW WHY. >> NO ONE'S TOUCHING ME. >> AUSTIN, DO NOT SHOW YOUR SISTER. >> WHAT THE going on? >> WHAT IS GOING ON? >> I want to know what's going on WITH YOU. >> ME, TOO. DO YOU NEED HELP? ARE YOU GOING? There's something going on. >> No, everybody weeping. >> We're getting married. >> Would like to talk to him. Please. >> Well, >> can I have a lighter? Please do not. Ma'am, >> maybe. >> Austin, >> listen. Listen. What I'm going to tell you is >> Okay. >> You're not going to tell me what to do. First off, you got that. Okay. You understand? >> I'm looking for a lighter to smoke a cigarette. >> All right. Go downstairs. Smoke a cigarette. >> I'm not leaving. Austin, >> right now you are. >> Why? >> Because I'm telling you, you're going to right now while they're talking. >> Okay. You are causing more of an issue right now than what needs to be. >> There's people in 10:03 is trying to sleep and they can't because you're out here yelling. >> We tried to get them up because they have kids stuff out here. >> At what point? The jacket. That's kid stuff. The only thing the rest of the stuff is a tire. >> They're trying to take me away. Only you can save me. Austin, >> you said there was no reason for her to have it, so you took it out. >> Austin, look. Last night I could WALK THROUGH THE DOOR. I KNOW YOU BELIEVE. AUSTIN, you said you believed. >> The second song. >> Austin, you said you believed in me and I believed in you. >> She repeatedly insisted that she and Austin were planning a future together, even claiming marriage was imminent, but the details she gave didn't align with what officers were hearing. The turning point came when officers were told by one of Austin's friends that he wasn't free to leave or contact his family as he wished. Instead, it appeared that he had been effectively isolated from outside communication. That revelation changed the tone of the entire encounter. >> Don't touch me. >> Austin, you can't do this. You have to Oh my god. >> Sit down. That's the best part. >> I have a lighter, please. I don't know what the hell is going on. Austin. Lily and me and you. AUSTIN, WE TALKED ABOUT IT LAST NIGHT. >> HEY, you want to get downstairs? I'll give you a lighter. >> My stuff. I'll get my stuff. >> Listen. You want to get downstairs? I'll give you a lighter. >> How do you have a lighter? You don't have a lighter? I don't want to go downstairs. >> I do have a lighter. >> Austin. Austin, this cop is trying to make ME GO DOWNSTAIRS. AUSTIN, ONLY YOU CAN MAKE ME LEAVE. >> LET me >> What the Oh, >> what is going on? >> I don't know what's going on. You tell me. >> Austin, YOU HAVE TO LET ME BACK IN, PLEASE. I can't tell you what's going on. >> But what I can tell you is you're really too close to me. If you would scoot back, >> can you get me a lighter? >> Yeah, if you want a lighter, I'll get you a lighter. >> Austin, can I have my stuff? >> Austin, please give me my stuff. Austin. >> Austin, they're taking me away. >> All right, let's go downstairs. >> Hi. >> Let's go downstairs. >> Austin, >> come on. Let's go downstairs. >> My stuff. My dog. >> I'm going to ask you one more time to come downstairs. >> Can I have my stuff? >> Yes. You were going to >> talk about it. We're going to get your stuff here in a minute. >> Okay. In a minute. >> Yes. Let's go downstairs. >> THEY'RE MAKING ME LEAVE, AUSTIN. >> We're not making you leave. We're just trying to separate you and let you go downstairs, too. >> Okay. We're going to let you go downstairs and talk to the sergeant. >> I don't want to talk to a sergeant. >> That's what I want you to do. >> Why? >> Because >> Okay. In a minute, please. >> No, I want you to go downstairs. >> Let me get my drink and my lighter. >> I ask you one more time. >> Austin, COME AND SAVE ME. AUSTIN, >> COME ON. >> DON'T TOUCH ME. PLEASE. AUSTIN, YOU SAID THAT HE HAD TO MAKE me leave. Austin, >> you're not leaving. I want you to come. >> Austin, IF I GO DOWNSTAIRS, AUSTIN, THEY'RE GOING TO TAKE ME. >> After attempting to handle things calmly for as long as possible, officers reached their limit. What they were seeing no longer matched anything she was saying, and it became clear that continued delay was not an option. >> You're you're you're treading on thin ice. >> Okay. >> Stop touching him. Don't get in his face. >> You're not getting back in the apartment. He done told you. So, quit trying to push past him. >> AUSTIN, I PUT gas in your truck. Can I put my stuff in your truck? Austin. Austin, I cannot carry all this antique. >> Do you know where you're at right now? >> Yes, I do. Austin, I'm in Ohio. >> Austin, >> what day is it? >> Austin, Thursday. >> Austin, exactly. I know where I'm at. Austin, >> that is perfect. >> Austin, listen to me. Austin, let me answer that. Get off the fork. Where do you want to go? >> Austin, can I put my stuff in your trunk? Can you take me somewhere safe? >> Where do you want to go? >> Austin to take Do you have a question? >> YES. YES. AUSTIN. YES. SHE JUST SAID NO. >> I'M GOING TO TELL YOU one more time. Just as me, >> Austin. Yes, I do. Can you unlock your truck, Austin, so you can take me somewhere safe, please? >> Okay. >> Austin, yes. I want you to take me somewhere safe. HE SAID YES. HE SAID YES. HE SAID YES. He did not. >> LET'S GO. Let's go. >> Go downstairs. >> We're going downstairs. >> Austin, what are you doing? Look at them. Austin, please. Only you CAN STILL TAKE ME. >> AUSTIN, >> LET me get my stuff. >> All right, we're going to Austin. >> I will if YOU STOP. YOU CAN'T GO WALKING. THIS IS NOT OKAY. >> He said he take me somewhere safe. >> Telling you right now you one more time or we're going to make you walk. >> Nope. That's out of the question. >> Come on. You better walk or you're going. >> He said yes or no. I walk if you let go and stop then. >> Austin, you said you would take me somewhere safe, right? Talking to him. >> Yes. Austin, >> I'm not saying nothing. >> AUSTIN, I DON'T WANT YOU TO TAKE ME somewhere safe. Stop. Will you still TAKE ME SOMEWHERE SAFE? AUSTIN, PLEASE. I'M BREAKING MY ARM. Let me pee right here. >> Give us a second. >> Please let me pee. >> Will you sit in my car? >> No. Sit right here. I did nothing wrong. You're going to jail for disorderly conduct. >> For what? >> Disorderly conduct. >> Austin can't hear you. >> Let me pee. I won't move. I won't fight. We're going to have >> Let me pee. Peace. Let me pee. >> Even as officers moved forward, she continued acting as if nothing serious was happening. Still clinging to her version of events without realizing how far the case had already gone. The patience that had been extended to her was now gone, replaced by firm action. I'm about to piss my pants. >> Go pee. Go pee. Pee your pants. I HAVE TO PULL MY PANTS. IF >> YOU WANT TO PEE, PEE. >> I HAVE TO PULL MY PANTS OUT. >> NO. PEE RIGHT HERE. >> I CAN'T. I'M GOING TO PEE. >> WELL, THEN HOLD IT. >> I >> And quit acting like a 2-year-old so we can get you in the car. >> Let me pee right here. I can't run nowhere, can I? I can't run anywhere. Let me get you in the back seat. >> Please, first, please let me pee. CAN I PULL MY PANTS OUT right here? Please. >> No. No. You can't pull out. You're going to expose yourself and that's enough. >> I don't care. >> PLEASE LET ME. WHY ARE YOU GUYS DOING THIS? >> HERE. >> Why are you guys doing this? >> That's not on. >> What is going on? [screaming] >> Put your feet in. >> Put your feet right where they're at. >> Where'd it go? >> Where's her car at now? >> Add a Tolen/MP wreck a lot cuz she was trying [snorts] to have tell me I wrecked her car and that's cuz I the one driving which I was not. Hm. >> She was driving and we were she trying get to somewhere where she had to go and she was saying that trying had put the blame on me that I wrecked her car which I did not. >> Yeah. Like Yeah. Like she tried to cuz now I'm going to >> I'm going to recall my insurance tell about that. That's all I take that off. Have to be on mine. I had all my standards. >> In the end, the woman was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Up next is a psycho girlfriend who acted tough right up until the cuffs [music] came out only to realize that attitude doesn't carry much weight once officers decide the conversation is over. >> I can't get arrested for doing that for for talking loud. I know my right. I don't mind I don't mind going to jail if I could beat her ass or his ass. What's up? On the 21st of April, 2022, officers were dispatched after reports of a heated domestic argument between a couple. By the time they arrived, the situation had already escalated beyond verbal violence. And whatever had happened before police got there was clearly far messier than either side first admitted. >> I said, "If that's what you want to do, then let's lay down." >> I said, "If that's what you want to do, then let's lay down." >> Hey, cuz she wants to disrespect me. >> So, yeah, let's talk about it. Let's Let's go. >> This lady not >> Let's go over here and talk. >> Uh, I'm good right here. This lady let us in. Me and him. >> Somebody else will be coming to talk to you here in a second, brother, about what's going on. You know what? >> I mean, tell me if I'm wrong. >> I'm asking him very point straightforward. You want to be together or no? Just let your ass down. Do you want to be together or no? Cuz things were fine. And now and now with this it ain't fine. So instead of simp so instead of him simply telling me he don't want to be together no more he doing all this. >> Then this dumb right here. >> I don't know what all this is. That's why I'm trying to go talk to you. >> That's what I'm explaining to. All this as in him being cool and then not being cool and then not I can't get arrested for doing that for for talking loud. I don't know if you want to take him somewhere and talk privately to him. >> But be careful what he says cuz he a liar. >> As officers separated the two and tried to piece together what had happened, the boyfriend finally began to explain his version of the situation. If anything, he looked like someone trying to survive while standing a few feet away was the person making sure his life was a living hell. >> I got into an accident. That's why I'm here. >> Okay. >> She's a problem. >> I'm trying to sleep so I can figure out how I'm going to get two springs. >> Okay. Are you guys Are you guys in a relationship? >> No, you had cars inside. >> Okay. >> I went to Where the [ __ ] >> I went to Copart. Um, where was it? >> Yeah. So, Doom is Duma's text. Okay. Even with officers trying to keep things calm, she seemed determined to turn every question into another argument. Insults flew faster than answers. And instead of helping herself, she pushed harder against the very people deciding how the night would end. She >> I will beat the out of him. >> Him who whatever I got video I can take. He wants to [ __ ] me over, but I'mma you over that one though. >> I'm done. Well, here here's the problem. You're not going to be able to talk to anyone right now. >> Why? >> Just >> I know my rights. So why? >> I'm detained. We were still good. >> He said you did that. >> That's what he told me. I'm just telling you what he told me. >> That's why I'm so confused because we were good. >> And then also we get here, he's acting weird as I'm not understanding it. I'm asking him to just let me know. Even if you just want to break up, just let me know. Then the other gonna cut in and say all this stupidit and make it seem like, "No, well, it's just you." D. He acts like I haven't forgiven him for some. >> What's his name, please? >> No, not after I talked to him. >> What's your first name? >> Maya. >> Maya. >> Here's what he told me. Do you want to know? >> Yeah. >> He said you work for him. You guys are transporting vehicles. You crashed into him in Raton. >> Okay. And then you guys ended up here to get the hotel. This was not your destination. You're trying to get to the springs. That's where he says you're both from >> and I try to get us there. >> Okay. We were supposed to go out of town today with our other two friends, Kenny and Amy. Obviously, we're not going." I'm asking him what's going on. Why are you upset? I don't get it. You're telling us you didn't deal with the cops. So, what is he involved in that is causing him to give us a fake name? Make us believe your story over what we're being told by him. It sounds like he does not want to help you out at all. >> Well, that's what I'm saying. >> Well, yeah. He's probably trying to hide something, but we can't force him to let you use it. >> To me, but y'all aren't going to go up to him and say, "We know you're lying about this, this, this, and this." >> We haven't had a chance to go talk to him again. >> And instead of letting me ask him if I can if I can use his phone, >> you think, >> you know, he said he doesn't want to talk to you. He said, "Just take me." >> And she tried to attack him and everything. >> Yeah. That's why >> she got in her car with him, but we pushing him back. Don't even engage with her no more. >> Right. Go to jail because she going to say hit her. >> She was trying to attack him. What was she trying to do? She swinging >> swinging at him. ring at him. Okay. >> Yeah. And so we put him in this car. We told them to go. She followed them. >> So this car actually left from that. >> Yeah. Left. >> Yeah. Came. So to see if she would leave cuz we were still there because like said, "Oh, she left." >> But she followed them all the way around here. And we just get a call to come around here cuz she hit the car. >> What is What is she looking at? >> Cuz he don't want >> He don't want to be. >> Is she pregnant with his child? >> Yes. >> Yeah. make >> myself >> and I'm going to go in here. in 811. >> Go ahead. >> Um, >> are you secured >> and you want to [music] leave him? >> Does he want me to keep the keys? I mean, >> you can leave him with the keys. >> You You want him to have the keys? >> Yeah, he's not really in it. You can leave him with the keys. >> Okay. Yeah. >> And you're good with him having >> Yeah. >> Okay. Let me make sure he's okay with accepting them first. >> Yes. >> Even her own mother thought she deserved to be jailed. However, the woman refused to take responsibility for her actions no matter what. What did they charge her with? >> Uh, she's going to be charged with and child abuse. She needs it. >> She needs it. >> Oh, yes. She shouldn't even come over here. >> Yep. >> Let her dad know cuz he'll probably take the baby. >> What? Like >> um >> from the beginning. So like what happened today? >> Take a moment. Take a moment. house. >> 103. >> What house? >> Um, two of my um >> I [music] was speaking with my son's father at first and then um >> Okay. And then um we were just [music] conversating like not arguing or anything. And his um I guess a [music] friend of the family got in it cuz she thought I was talking to her cuz I said what? >> Mhm. >> And she was like, "Who are you talking to?" And I was like, "I'm not talking to you." And then we got into we exchanged words and then I pulled off and she followed me. And then um >> then that's when like the cars bump. >> Okay. [music] [cough] Where did the cars bump at? >> Um, I don't know. It's It was like right around the corner from the house. >> Okay. Uh, where I found their car at was a Burrows. That sound [music] about right. >> I don't know. Street. >> Maybe you know street name. >> Okay. When you say bump, like what happened? like she has and then my car bumped into her car and then >> but they were out the car so I don't know why I'm getting charged for something. >> Okay. And that was it. It just pumped one time. That was nothing else. >> Just went 97. I don't know. >> Um >> where was during this entire incident? >> The house the entire time. >> Okay. Um Okay. You're currently pregnant now with his his child as well. Okay. How far along are you? >> Um, 5 months. >> 5 months. Okay. [music] >> The woman seemed to think she was too good to be arrested after breaking the law, but she was wrong. >> It was There's pretty decent damage to the front end of the vehicle. Were you just coming back towards their vehicle and just >> Yeah. I had turned around to leave and then I bumped their car. [music] >> Okay. Um, there was damage on the passenger side as well where the door was like, you know, a door normally closes. It was bent backwards. >> Yeah, I only hit the car. >> Okay. Did you ever hit record the vehicle? >> No. >> Nothing whatsoever. >> Okay. [music] There's damage to a fence over there. [snorts] Benton. >> We were near a fence. >> Okay. Um [music] they're saying was like running from the house back over there where you're saying that [music] you guys bumped. >> Oh, I'm not sure. >> You're not sure? >> No. Okay. Um, do you guys have children in common? [music] >> One. >> You have one child in common? Where was the child at during this incident? >> He was at my friend's house and I went to go pick him up after it happened [music] to drop him off because I knew I was really in trouble. >> Why do you know you're going to get in trouble? >> Because I didn't make sure. >> Okay. So, like after you know, you said you bumped your car. Like did you did you guys stop? Did you just keep going? I had stopped, but then um like I said, they were out the car, so I didn't know what they were going to do to me, so I kept going and I I drove back to the night, but cuz I police my mom texted me that the police were looking for me, so I drove back. >> Okay. Did you ever think about calling law enforcement about what happened? >> Um I know they had called, so that's why I just was meeting. >> Okay. [music] You think maybe you should call like, "Hey, this is what's going on. This is where I'm at." Uh, can I have an officer? >> Well, I was just meeting the I was just going there to meet officers, so I don't think I have to call again. >> Okay. So, about four different people put pen to paper, provided us some red statement. [music] It'd be one thing people just wanted like run their mouth, but when you put pen to paper, I >> I get that. Why are they saying that you on with the car? there. >> The police remained suspicious of her actions, thinking there was more to the story than what she was sharing. >> There there's more going on here than than what you're telling me. And I can only work within the parameters of what I have. Cuz they're also saying that you're a little baby boy that you guys have in common with you was in the backseat of the car. >> No, he wasn't. >> None whatsoever. >> You know, but we see in that family, they already know >> we have. So they know saying that will >> get me in trouble. Like >> okay >> they have family members that call DCF on each other when they're mad. Like >> that's just how their family is. >> But from what you're saying like you only bump that car the passenger side >> rear door is backwards like not the normal way door closes. >> Mhm. >> Yeah. That's not that just doesn't happen for >> Well, I mean I hit the car. You you said you bumped the front, >> but like this is on the pass or opposite side of where the roadway is. [snorts] You see what I'm getting at? Like this is doesn't and I'm not I ain't like coming at you like sideways. It just doesn't make sense. You came back. It's clear as day and struck that vehicle. There's [music] damage consistent with the back passenger wheel that has black paint transfer. Paint transfer is when another car hits another car, the vehicle's paint that hit it scrapes it off onto [music] that vehicle. Well, their wheels are like silver. The cub caps black paint on it. Like I'm trying to give you like tell me what happened. >> I'm not playing victim. I know I hit the car. Like I'm not saying I didn't. I hit the car. >> Why would you even hit the car? >> Because she was it was just based off my emotions. She was making me angry. Like why are you following me? >> Okay. It wasn't because like they were getting in the way between you and >> No, >> cuz they were saying trying to get away from you and jumped in their car. Mom, I know you're saying family don't like you. Even mom like my son jumped in the car to get away from her. >> No, that's [music] not what happened. >> Then what happened? clarify what occurred because even by I ain't saying you're lying but when you leave things out like that are [music] detrimental like you hit the car again like that that's something I need to know and the fact that it gets left out like it raises suspicions on like [snorts] your validity of you see what I'm saying >> like that's kind of causing concern on my part >> I mean I just don't get why they're trying to seem like I tried to hit somebody I didn't hit nobody Everybody was out of the car. Like I'm I know I'm in the wrong for hitting her car. Of course, cuz I should never hit it. >> Okay. >> But it's just like I wasn't trying to nobody. I didn't hit nobody that was in the car. Nobody was in the car. >> Okay. >> They're saying you smashed the hell out of that car. >> That car was like that when I pulled up this morning. >> Okay. [music] Again, I you know, you're saying they don't like you, but I don't know whose family like >> they're [music] family friend. >> Yeah, I get that. Uh you're saying you try to them at the house, too. >> No, I did not. >> And then they had a key back. >> No, me and me and having a conversation once I said what? So, [music] >> yeah. >> The family friend was like, "Who are you talking to?" >> Who's the family friend? You know, >> Jerica. >> Jerica. Okay. >> And she was like, "Who are you talking to?" I was like, "I'm not talking to you. And that's when she was like, "Oh, cuz I'm not >> [music] >> um I'll like say stuff like that." And I was like, "I'm not even talking to you." That's when the mom [music] had got in there and she was like, but I was mom had got she was like, >> she was just arguing and I was arguing back. I told me to roll out the window. >> Okay. [snorts] [music] Okay. Despite all the evidence against her, the woman turned the situation around and blamed her ex and his family. >> Uh he had about four counts of deadly weapon. Uh I'll verify the information, but they put in the paper too as well saying that child is in the backseat of the car could have [music] reckless endangerment of a juvenile or minor. That's >> is this all felony? Like who will I be [music] in this time? >> Everything's a felony. I don't think there's one misdemeanor. >> They just want to do this to ruin me. Like they just want to do this to get back at me. >> Back at you for what? Like what? >> Because we did we just me and that family friend had got into it a while back when they was talking about my son when he was first born. >> Okay. [snorts] >> And then they pulled up and then we fought and then it was just that. So they they've had an issue with me. >> Okay. >> So I haven't really spoken to them since then. I don't speak to them at all. Whenever I'm over there, they're never over there. I don't see them. It's just like their their people are nasty. Like they're nasty people. >> Okay. >> Yeah. It was a property manager. His name is Dan Smith. >> So, how much time am I going to get? >> We're not We're not even close to that yet. So, I I'm still I'm going to [snorts] make a phone call. Uh you say your cousin's [music] name is Trinity. Uh speak to her. She answers. I verify some things. [music] Uh you could have more charges, you could have less charges. It really depends. There's a a deputy out there too as well who uh who might speak to you, but uh [music] the the fence that was damaged during this whole >> I mean I could pay for everything. It's like trying to make it seem like like [snorts] >> I'm getting all these charges. >> I I'm not playing around, but there are some very serious charges. But uh misdemeanors are for jail like here they're prison. Um but >> I I can't I can't say yes or no. This is like so early on and I don't know your background, your criminal history. >> So I don't know what the attorneys uh from this state are [snorts] going to prosecute or they're not going to prosecute. [music] Um there's a really there's a lot up up in the air. [snorts] I could do all this. We could be going through this entire incident and the state attorney would be like, "Nah, I'm not I'm not press charged at all or pick up any of the charges. To clarify, I apologize." I [music] um I got four four individual I know you say they don't like you and [snorts] they got beef, but it's four people saying your child was in the backseat of their car and in good faith. Again, I know like I'm going to keep reiterating [music] this. You saying they got beef with you. four people saying child was in the car screaming, yelling and hollering and it's just you saying no, she's with my cousin. But as of right now, I was just not answer the phone. >> I get what you say. >> I in good faith I can't just steer clear or walk away from the prison over there. >> No. Well, listen. You're you're you're really jumping the gun like really far. >> This is not fair. >> There's a lot to go on here. [music] There's a lot to go forth from here. Um, >> you won't have a bond uh until first appearance, which is probably be tomorrow afternoon. Uh, once you go to first appearance, they'll give you a bond. [snorts] Again, if you've never been in trouble, you you might get rared, but these are some serious charges facing as well. >> But, uh, there's a [music] lot. In the end, the woman was charged with and
