do you have a driver's license I I got my ID with me that's not a driver's license but it is identification though okay no no absolutely it is um do you have a do you have a valid driver's license yeah tell me what I got put over for so because you don't have a valid driver's license how do you know I don't have a valid driver's license because you're the registered owner of this vehicle panal County deputies run license plates all day long um lots of agencies do there are some agencies that don't and that is only because of their internal policies not because of the law the law says you have no expect ation of privacy uh of the information contained reference your license plate which is also your driver's license information so I see this guy um he is suspended I confirm that he is the driver of the vehicle that the owner and the driver is the same person because you have a photo attached to your MVD information this stop is not illegal immoral unethical it is well within panal County Sheriff's Office policy everything is right about this um so just because some trolls on the internet May not agree with me their opinion doesn't matter you have to get a supervisor out here cuz you're not telling me what you got me for because you are the registered owner of this vehicle and you do not have a valid driver's license know car by the first see we don't you didn't you didn't pull me over just for like just take my name yeah that's actually exactly what I did you wanted my ID like there's my identification that's right you see how registration current proof insurance for your vehicle also please I'm not getting you nothing cuz you didn't tell me why get pulled over for I already told you no he did I said you do not have a valid license no dude I'm not going to get bullied today I'm not going to get bullied by a c what about this is being bullied or just enforcing the law you're going to it I know that so I am because it's the law you're being a bully right now D told me what I got pulled over for you just want to check my name that's IL legal I well I well I told you I cuz I already checked your name and that's how I know that you're so then I'm free to go cuz I have no warrants right well you're not free to go because you're driving while your license is currently suspended no no no what about that you don't want to run my ID I already know I already ran it so you're just like R everybody's privacy or what yeah you have no expectation for no for no traffic I cross l or overcross or spe okay I'm going fight it I'm going to fight it you can you can fight it all you want you have no expectation privacy on the information contained on your on your license plate I know and you're the register owner of this vehicle right which means that when I run your license plate and I check your license status and it comes up as being suspended from a citation that you received from Chandler Police Department it gives me what's called Reasonable Suspicion so are you refusing to provide all the other information that I requested yeah cuz I gave you ID already okay absolutely hang tight sir ah so so um who's the registered owner of this vehicle um who appears to be impaired so we're going to we're going to deal with that also um isn't very friendly towards law enforcement very typically um we will run license plates um looking for uh the registered owner's information um we run license plate comes up with whoever the registered owner is their information their driver's license number um their subsequently their license status uh which for him is not valid you didn't even tell me what I what you pulled me over for I told you cuz you're you're you're knowingly driving a vehicle while your license is suspended seems easy that's not it guys that's just invasion of privacy dude I I don't that's not the way things work as soon as I realize that one I'm going to arrest him there's impairment potential there um he was ultimately arrested also for DUI um so I'm dealing with an impaired subject who is obviously unruly and unfriendly and uncooperative um so I get on the radio and I say hey whoever the closest person is come this way one I'm going to need someone to transport a bad guy and two if I get into a fight I don't want it just to be me and this guy rolling around the side of the road or in a vehicle um I'd like to have a friend there so while I'm waiting for my second officer to come you know a deputy to come from who knows how far away I'm really just having a conversation with this guy to pass the time you want to take my car that's I see what you're trying to do dude well why would I want your car have you used methamphetamine l lately no he you're just yes he has there's nothing about that it's just an investigatory question because you seem to be showing those signs and symptoms that would be consistent with it so I should just calm down here well I mean I'm calm if you were doing it right you be physically enfor right now dude but right now you're waiting on somebody else to help you and shap I'm not I'm not cuz you're really being a bully dude that's what it is okay well would you be willing to do some field sobriety test for me just to make sure that you're that you're okay and that you're sober what do you mean why you didn't you didn't tell I was what do you mean you don't you don't have to it's it's simply all I need is reasonable suspicion that's it very true you had a a low threshold like I do you guys all bullies dude okay all of us so I feel like that's a that's a pretty gross generalization of an entire uh occupation you haven't made eye contact with me once you're real fidgety in there um and I'm just I'm trying to figure out why we have this lack of communication bully dud I don't feel like I'm a bully dude I I feel I've been respectful with you right puning me for but I'm not getting Punk dude I don't I don't feel like that's punking is probably not the right word I feel like that's accurate dude cuz I wouldn't be the way I am right now okay but I I don't understand why you're so you're so hostile towards me everything that I've done has been audio video recorded and there's nothing about this that's improper illegal immoral unethical or against any sort of policy for the panel County Sheriff's Office okay you want to take me out my car like criminal dude you want to pull me out well you are a criminal you're committing a criminal offense that makes you a criminal if I was then you'd physically pull me out my but I don't want to physically pull you out I run registrations all day long yeah looking for expired registrations looking for suspended plates looking for suspended drivers I do it all day long here's my partner on the other side here so what you're going to do is um I'm just want to make sure we take those out put those up there so go on and hop out for me no I'm not hopping out dude so I don't I don't want to if you don't get out because you're under arrest for a offense I didn't do anything wrong he he didn't tell me what I got pulled over for he didn't say I was feeding or swerving or anything he just said hey let me see you get when you get out of this vehicle my my partner there will tell you exactly he pulled you over why why you tell me right now so get so this is what we're going to do I'm either going to you could be cool and you can get out on your own I'm not getting out cuzz that's what you guys want you guys want me to like no we do not want you to physically fight us I don't want you to I'm giving you get outle to agree with you and I don't I'm not you don't you don't have to agree with me however you are required by law when given an order to listen to that yeah okay and you have to obey if you don't get out of the car I'm going to remove you and when I remove you I'm going to put my hands on you in a manner that is much more aggressive than the conversation that we're having right now okay are you going to get out out come on get out out come you guys your so this what we're going to do forward hand behind his back there we go see just like that very simple very see how easy that was so right now like I said you're under arrest for driving on suspended license he's got this real verbal like no no no but as soon as I put my hands on him he was totally compliant um except for a little control hold there you saw a wrist lock when I was placing them in custody um there was no use of force so there was no no impact strikes no you know crazy joint manipulation no punches kicks um taser anything like that he was totally compliant so he just he was as Sam says he's all bark but no bite there's also suspicion of DUI no okay because you're showing signs and symptoms of drug impairment and it's my job to make sure that you're driving while safe okay not only the fact that you're not only the not only the fact that you're unsuspended but also the fact that you have all these signs and symptoms that are consistent with impair saying that dude cuz you know you're get you're get me agitated dude sir there there's nothing I guess I I guess I am playing some the m games that you're G me but like dude like I'm not drunk or anything like that dude I'm going I'm on break right now I'm just going to work why I know you're not drunk hang tight back here take no sir that's that's not my job oh some people just don't like us I don't tell you it's marijuana that's a marijuana pipe marijuana he refused to uh submit to a consent of his blood so I obtained a ew warrant an electronic warrant through the uh Superior Court it makes Arizona amazing that we could do that now he no longer has the right to refuse and we will uh if needed take blood by force in order to obtain and there goes his car the crime to which I believe he committed the oo was the road you were on all right I should take turn road then yep absolutely or you could just very simply stay out of panal County I told that guy to just not come into panal County um it's something I've told people for the entire time that I've worked there um I am not the Chamber of Commerce I am not there to welcome people who are doing bad things um if you're breaking the law panal County Sheriff's Office is a a aggressive law enforcement agency if you're doing bad things um good guys you know good families we're keeping people safe but uh this guy was not doing anything good and had no business being in panal County so and if he didn't like the way that we aggressively enforce the law I invited him simply to not return but you can always try being nice cuz that's Bo yeah I haven't been mean to you right I even when I put my my hands on you I wasn't mean to you
