LIKE I'M NOT RESISTING. LITERALLY. >> TAYLOR, PLEASE GRAB MY KIDS. I JUST ROBBED ME. They literally were just ON TOP OF ME FOR NO REASON. The officer had quickly stepped in to stop the out of control Karen from lynching the employee. Apparently, she thought she was smart enough to pull off a selfch checkckout theft and simply walk away. As it would turn out, she wasn't nearly as clever as she believed. >> Oh my god, I'm going to [ __ ] crazy. Oh my god, I can't believe you guys said I was resisting. Oh my god, THAT IS SO CRAZY. What the What the >> Hey, you don't have anything on you that's going to poke sicker. Do you? >> NO. WHY AM I GETTING ARRESTED? You keep saying I was resisting. DO YOU NOT SEE IT? >> What is wrong with you guys? >> No one sees this hurting me. >> NO ONE SEES HURTING ME. >> FOR WHAT? CUZ I PAID FOR ALL my stupid >> Have a seat. Seat. >> There we go. >> Please get that off. Hurt me for what reason? Come on. >> I took a spot. That was ridiculous. >> All right. What do you got? >> Anybody want to meet? >> Uh, so she was physically >> pushing and like >> she was No, no, I know her. But to who? >> An employee in there. >> She was pissed off at him. >> I saw him trying to get away and she was grabbing him. >> Yeah. >> Some random guy. Oh, >> he's an employee. I think he might have confronted her about something. I don't know yet entirely, but he was trying to just defend himself and get back. >> So that's why I arrest her and then she acted like a fool >> assault. >> Yeah, at least disorderly conduct. We'll see if he wants to press assault charges, but >> definitely got assault if he wants it. >> And looks like you're you got cut during all that. >> With a car now secured in the back of the cruiser, the officers turned their attention to figuring out what had actually transpired between her and the employee before anything else. >> Hi. >> Hey. Uh, just let y'all know our employee got punched five times in the face. >> Yep. That's why we're doing this. >> Okay. I just let you guys know that I didn't get that hard. >> All right. Thank you. >> We're right here. >> So, none of this is paid for. >> I don't know. >> No, I just ran through the receipt. >> Oh, none of that is paid for. >> Oh, this top part. >> Okay. Are you able to reimburse her for that? >> Um, aggravated assault. >> Is it a robber >> or aggravated theft? >> Yeah. >> Depending on Was he Were you trying to stop her from stealing merchandise? >> Yeah, I think you were. >> So So you saw her scanning at the at the selfch checkouts? >> Yeah. And then you said that she asked, "Can I scan everything?" She said, "Yeah, but I think can I see your receipt?" I asked and see, you know, see angry. >> So he asked for receipt. >> And then you asked her, "Can I see your receipt?" And she said, "Angry and then she started hitting you out of nowhere. Just grabbing you, hitting you." >> And that's why I am asking why you hit me. Yeah, we we'll do aggravated theft and um >> depending on if he wants to do charges for assault, we can do assault. If not, I'm going to do disorderly conduct, then interference. >> What's the value of this right here? >> Uh okay. So, yeah, he does. So, you do want to press charges. Okay. Are are you hurt? >> Uh you and this side is hurt. So he punched me and you know like >> Oh grab your thumb. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. He's hurting. >> Yeah. It's red. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Can I grab your name and stuff real quick? >> So she's going to be charged with aggravated theft, >> assault causing injury and interference, >> possible interference causing injury if Chad wants to look at all this traffic. All >> traffic officers. Where's patrol at? We're doing a interference with injury deal. >> Interference just one. >> Do we have a good video forever? >> Oh, I'm sure it was like right in front of the bathroom. >> I'm sorry. >> Check out GM. >> I think it was like right in front of customer service basically. >> Probably. >> You should have at least some video and then my camera should show it. >> She saw her five times. >> If you can if you can unfold that, you can get the unfold the the register number >> 38. >> So the total is 23.98. >> Okay. Assuming you guys want to press charges for theft? >> Yeah. Again, we have enough for it. >> Yep. Absolutely. It's >> okay. >> And we can refund everything except for the cold food. >> Now armed with a clearer picture of what had transpired, the officers moved to wrap up their onseene investigation while EMS checked on the crazy customer who had somehow thought she could fight her way out of the store after shoplifting. But just when it seemed like the turmoil was winding down, her sister showed up. I got harassed my sister. >> What the [ __ ] What? >> Guys, watch the whole video. I recorded watch the whole video. I recorded >> I had it on Facebook. >> Thank you. So, we need that information. >> I'm not getting >> You said you recorded everything. That sounds like evidence. What's your name? What's your name? >> I don't have to do [ __ ] >> It's easy to get a warrant for your phone. >> I don't give a [ __ ] Do it. Thank you. We need as much evidence as we can. >> Watch. >> Ma'am, get away from the squad car. Go now. >> My ass. You record the whole incident. >> Yeah, I did. You get the warrant. >> Get away from the squad car now. >> Go. >> Yeah, you probably want to kill her, man. Hey man, I have to go over here with her. >> You guys just literally had a month ago. >> The baby is right in my house. The baby's sad. Everybody's sad, but everybody just got You're not scared of me. You always want to get back. Like, why are you y'all doing all that to her? >> I'm just saying just fine. >> Step back there. >> Step back there. That's why your hands cuz you're a >> she standing back there. She's not hurting anybody here. So, as long as she stays right here, you're trying to size her up. She's not a 411ized woman. Like murderers. >> Hey, this is private property. Like, >> you can leave. You guys are >> I don't need to. I'm here for a reason. What are you here for? >> My sister. >> No reason. Correct. >> Cuz y'all are murderers. >> No reason. >> Murderers. >> Can we have your badge number? What's your badge number? >> I already have everything else on recording. I'm going to take a picture of that too cuz we're this is exactly why we're doing I'm about to do a lawsuit now because of all this. We were trying not to do that because of that hand. >> Yeah, exactly. Cuz he's a you ain't going to fight nobody else. You ain't fight no man without no badge on my whole family's going through so much cuz y'all >> because of us on the ground. because of us. What is wrong with you? >> Ma'am, please stop blowing your smoke on him. He's >> in her face. I mean, >> that's right. Just like you guys have right in our face. We have a right to sit right here. >> They're literally trying to be like a little girl. >> I had >> Did you uh >> That's why I can't wait to hear the money. >> Did you go watch video? See what happened. Yeah. What the thing that you got down? >> I want video of all of it. Okay. Like um >> from them. Have them get on that. >> Did he What did he do to her or anything? He simply stopped her because he saw a theft and then uh she conf like she got mad, hits him upside the head. Um he's then he uh according to statements and watching the video he says don't hit me. Don't hit me. And then next thing you know on video she's grabbing him and hitting him and so he can go she can go for assault and aggravated theft. >> Okay. Yeah, that's right. >> But how much was it that she was like 23 bucks? >> I can do all that. You ain't I'm a CNA. I can do it. >> What the last person, right? >> I'm a CNA. I can do it. >> I went to school for that. >> Yeah, Zachary. >> Ma'am, take a step back. >> No, he's coming towards me. >> You take one step back. >> He walks back toward ma'am. Right now, this is your last chance. Take one step back right now. >> Get past this line right here. That's where I want you. Pass this line. See this line behind the line. Thank you. Do not cross that line. >> You scared ass. That's what he does. That's what they do. >> That's what y'all do. Y ain't doing nothing for nobody else. You ain't catching no murderers or nothing. Y'all out here trying to kill everybody out here. When all was said and done, she was transported to jail and charged with aggravated theft, assault causing bodily injury and interference with official duty. Now, taking being crazy to a whole new level is this customer who somehow thought the best way to handle a disagreement was to leap over the counter and attack an employee. >> CAN YOU OPEN THE CAR? >> SHE JUST BEAT ME UP AND YOU LOCKED ME IN HER. SHE JUST ASSAULTED ME AND MY DOG AND THEY BARRICADED ME IN HERE. >> Did you go around the back? That's how I went around the BACK AND THEN SHE SMACKED THE OUT OF ME. >> WHAT? WHAT? >> She just jumped over the counter and smacked me. I was taking her order and she started making all these insane demands. On August the 24th, 2025 in Oak Park, Illinois, officers were dispatched to a local Dunkin Donuts after reports of a customer and an employee fighting. Upon arrival, the officers were met by the shaken employee who had managed to flee the store and locked the crazy customer inside. >> What? just just jumped over the counter and smacked me. I was taking her order. And she starts making all these insane demands, acting entitled and [ __ ] And then she just attacks me like I did nothing wrong. I swear. >> Buy one. Adam, can I get some more cars up here? >> CAN YOU OPEN THE CAR? >> SHE JUST BEAT ME UP AND YOU LOCKING ME IN HERE. >> STAY IN HERE. >> I GOT A CAR RIGHT NOW. >> WHAT HAPPENED? >> I'M AT WORK DOING HAIR. >> OKAY. What happened here? THE SHE JUST ASSAULTED ME AND MY DOG AND THEY BARRICADED ME IN HERE. >> Did you go around the back? >> Yes, I went around the back AND THEN SHE SMACKED THE OUT OF ME. I DID NOT TOUCH HER. I went back there. I said, "What's your problem? WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS to me?" She said, "Get the out and smack the me." >> I walked back there. >> I went in her face. I said, "Why are you talking to me like that? Why won't you take my order? I'm at work. I work at the salon across the street. Every time I come in here, she rude as hell to me." >> Why? Why would that? >> I said, "She's just rude." Like I I say I want a bacon chest cuz I said, "Can you make my croissant not hard?" She roll. She say, "You get the out." So she's ignoring me. So I walked to the back. >> I walked to the back. She threw the phone. She I I yelled at her. Whatever. I'm in her face. She smacked me. Told me to get the out her face. I took her phone. I threw her phone. I walked right here. She pushed me. I turned around. I smacked her. I walked back around. She pulled all my hair up. I'm the one THAT'SED UP. HE STARTED HELPING HER READING ME. The black man saw everything. I don't have my other phone right. She took my phone and she started throwing my dog and choking my dog. As she choking my dog, he choking me. >> My phone my other phone is off. I can't call the police. Couldn't do nothing. I'm as I'm trying to get away RIGHT NOW. >> SHE'S ASSAULTING ME. I'M STEADY TRYING TO GET HE LOCKED THE DOOR. Imagine he a customer. They speak in Spanish. He locks the door. She picked my dog and tried to choke my dog. She was talking at what felt like 500 words per second, seemingly convinced that whoever talked the most must be telling the truth. She poured out excuses, accusations, and endless rambling without pause. But whether she liked it or not, the truth had a way of catching up. >> When she choked my dog, I choke her. I'm trying to put my dog down. She take my bag, take my money. I take care. She throw my We both going BACK AND FORTH. I HAVE A SIX-YEAR-OLD across the street in my shop. I said, "I need her in there by herself." >> Okay. >> I'm steady trying to leave. They told me, "COME RIGHT NOW. MY phone is on 5%." >> I understand. Can you do me a favor and just sit down over here? >> She probably need to come get that. >> Sit down. Calm down. >> I can't calm down. >> Just do me a favor. >> And now I'm confused on why YOU KEPT THE DOOR BARRICADED when I'm the one that got >> Because you're trying to push out and I don't know what's happening. I understand. But I didn't know if you wanted to come out and BEAT HER UP. NO. >> OKAY. BUT I DIDN'T KNOW THAT. >> So it was better that you two stay separated than you coming outside. YOU TALKING ABOUT CALM DOWN A LADY LAY IN THE MIRROR. JUST TALK LIKE TIGHT HERE. >> All right, just have a seat. >> I'm I'm calm. I still got it. You know what? Just >> I get it. I get it. I get it. Emotions are high. >> I just left like >> I'M RIGHT BEFORE MY SHOP. YOU KEEP COMING STRAIGHT to where Walgreens is. I went to go ask the money on the card. >> My ho up. >> You have >> I'm steady trying TO LEAVE. HE STAY RUNNING UP. >> My other phone is dead. >> Do you have >> I'm trying to get some food and walk my >> I can't calm down. >> Okay. Do you have an ID? >> Everything is in my salon across the street. >> Can you give me your last name? That's what I was trying to say. Stop me in here. >> I don't know. I'm trying to take a picture of him, too. I want to press charging on him, too. >> What's your uh what's your first name? >> A N R Y Ah. >> Okay. I'm sorry. I didn't get that. >> A N A N >> I Y >> R Y >> I Y >> I Y >> A H >> A H. Okay. And you have a middle initial or no? >> Keep that everything. >> That guy right there. Hold on. Hold on. I I will talk to them. Have a seat. Have a seat. >> Have a seat. >> I just at Dunkin Donuts. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> No, I'm not. Okay. >> Just have a seat. I will be right back in. Okay. >> With her statement taken, the officer stepped away to speak with an eyewitness, hoping to separate fact from noise. After all, buried beneath all the non-stop ranting, accusations, and excuses was the truth. And he intended to find it. >> Did you see what happened? All I seen them was fighting. That's why I called the police. >> Okay. So, they were in there already fighting, >> right? I went for the door. The guy asked me to come in so they could break them up. So, when I went for the door, the door was locked. So, only thing I could do is call the police for you. That's it. >> Okay. >> So, you didn't see how it started or anything? >> No. No. I I just came from the light and when I walking past and I stop, they flipping each other. So I'm like, "Whoa, what the I do like that. The door was locked." So I just immediately called the police. >> Okay. All right. That sounds good to me. >> And that's my mom. >> Yeah. But the lady the lady that worked there, she grabbed the dog. The lady that worked there, uh, the lady that had the dog, which is black, she was walking the dog back from them. She grabbed the thing and start. I'm like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on. You going to kill the dog?" >> Yeah. >> Oh, no. Let me call the police. >> Yeah. >> All right. Do you have uh do you have an ID by any chance? Just that I can see. >> I didn't know what how it started or what was going on cuz they was already fighting. Soon I walked up, they was already going >> and they were both participating. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. All right. Thank you, sir. Appreciate it. >> All right. >> You think I should go later then? >> Probably. After the witness admitted that they hadn't actually seen how the altercation started, the officers decided to circle back and hear her side of the story once again. By now, she had settled down, at least a little, and they were hoping that this time, somewhere between all the rambling and excuses, they might finally get something a little closer to the truth. >> I came in, I went to the register, I ordered a water, and then I ordered a croissant. I said, "When you make my croissant, can you make sure the bread is fresh?" She looked up. She didn't say nothing. She roll her eyes at me. I didn't say no. I said like when you make the croissant like I just don't want my red heart. She looked up, did this, you can get out. I'm not taking your order. She walked off. I'm like like why won't you take the order? Like what's what's wrong with you? Why do you always do this when I come in here? Get the out. I'm not taking your order. You can get out. Bye bye bye bye. I'm like why are you like why did you do this? >> So hold on. Hurry up. So, I walked around. I walked with her to the back. I'm in her face. I'm like, like, why do you do this? Like, why are you Why are you doing all this? Get out. Get out. She pushed me. When she pushed me, that's when I took her phone. Like, I didn't take it literally, but like I tried to take it and then it flipped. It hit the floor. When hit the floor, she picked it up. She behind me walking. Get the out. I'm walking. She talking. We get right there, but the whole time she behind me. She's not pushing me, but I can feel her doing this. So, as she's doing that, I'm like, "Don't touch me." I turn around, smack her, walk right. I don't need to get out the door. I get right there. She yanks me down. Boom. We're fighting. He's not I'm thinking he's breaking it up. He's holding me down the whole time. >> Okay. >> We're fighting. I'm trying to hit her. She trying to hit me. Um, my stuff. We get up again. As I'm trying to come over here, she come get me again. We're fight again. This time he holding me down. Um, I finally get her. I got a good grip for her hair. At this point, I'm like, "Okay, I'm let you go. You let me go." I let her go. She pick up my dog. Try to choke the out of my dog. So now I'm trying to get her get my dog. She put my dog down. I pick my thing up. She picked my phone up. She threw my phone. Tried to crack my phone. I had two phones. She threw one. I pick everything up. I'm like, I'm about to go. I go to the door. She locks the door. He go in front of her. They speaking their language or whatever. And she calling people. She calls somebody like, "Yeah, you should stop and leave." Whatever. She making threats. I'm like, "I'm going to go." I got a six-year-old in my salon right now by herself. She locks the door. He in front of the door. As I'm steady trying to get to the door and stuff like me get to the door, they both just just locking me out at this point. Now, I'm still trying to get out of stuff. I'm not hitting her at this point. I'm trying to get out the door. >> The black man right there, he trying to be right there. I'm just locked in here. >> From her own statement, the truth was finally beginning to emerge. She had, in fact, leaped over the counter and confronted the employee. An admission that gave the officers a solid place to start. You can't be back there. Okay. So, you're technically the person who escalated the situation by going back there. Okay. That's the start of the fight. >> Okay. So, you're going to have to come with us. Okay. We're going to go to the police department. >> Okay. My sister 5 minutes away. She's licking my dog in the [ __ ] I have a six-year-old. >> I got you. But right now, you're going to come in a smart car until she gets here. >> Okay. You can uh get the dog. You put it on a leash. >> Do you want me to hold on to the dog or something? >> I love dogs and I love little dogs. So, >> I got to go with that. >> If you feel comfortable with that, I'll be happy to help you. Yeah, they still >> Ariel. Ariel. Sorry. >> They put the little guy down. >> Yeah. >> Girl, >> uh, go ahead and hang up the phone with him. >> It's FaceTime call. So, it's like, no, she won't know. >> Yeah, you still hang up the phone and FaceTime them. >> Like, my phone off, so this is on its own. So, she not going to know what's going on. Can you hold off the phone? Like, can she stay on the phone? No, she she knows where it's at, right? >> No, that's the thing. They're not They're not fumbling. Like I just >> Oh, well, they know where are they driving to right now? >> No, that's on the phone. I have to direct her. She has the address of my salon. >> Yeah. Yeah, that's all she needs. It's right here, right? >> It's down like in the middle. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. I got to hang up the phone. You just said I have to wait. >> Yeah. Yeah. I mean, you got to leave the store. >> I could bring up I can't >> because he said your way to pick up. >> Okay. >> Stay here. >> In the end, she was charged with aggravated assault. Speaking of cops saving employees, meet this entitled customer who somehow thought that the smart move was to come back and attack an employee after she was trespassed for shoplifting. >> Don't touch me. >> Is that uh Okay, so you were the one that he was messing with. >> Yeah, he almost split my baby out that car and I sure did. I did. How you going to react if somebody almost slipped your kid out of park? On March the [snorts] 8th, 2026 in Oallen, Missouri, officers were dispatched to a local Walmart after reports that a known shoplifter who had previously been trespassed from the store had returned for another round of theft. And when employees confronted her, she allegedly let all hell loose. Upon arrival, the officer tracked her down to the parking lot, but before making contact, he first took a statement from an eyewitness to piece together exactly what had happened inside the store. >> Okay. So, what's happening? Hey. Um, hold on y'all. Hold on. I'mma click back in in a minute. Um, so I don't really know, you know, what she was doing. We drove separate cars. I came to do some grocery shopping. >> Yeah, >> I guess she came to do some grocery shopping. But, uh, she was in the like the selfch checkout scanning her stuff or whatever, and the guy just kind of walked over there >> and I had my own lane and she was in her own lane. So, I was, you know, just looked over and I seen the guy like grabbing her bags and stuff out the court or whatever. And um and she was like yelling, telling him like, "What you grabbing my stuff for? I'm not done scanning and this and all of that." And he was like, "Well, I think he said you you going to jail for trespassing or something." And she was like, "Uh, what are you talking about?" She's like, "I'm not done scanning myself." So I'm like, "What's going on?" I said, "You know, why you not scanning yourself? What you what are you doing? Like why you didn't pay for it or whatever?" >> And uh and he was just like holding the buggy and bags and I was asking another worker. I said, "You know, well, do he work here?" Whatever. What's going on? >> And um and they was like, "Well, yeah, he do." But they didn't say nothing. So, you know, I don't know what's going on. Like, I don't, you know. >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> There there was somebody said something about a bag of chicken getting thrown at somebody. Do you know anything about that or >> No. >> No. Okay. Um, so you were just in the checkout lane. Do you know the people over here in this car or >> Yeah, I know. I know him. Okay. >> Was who was who was arguing over just the guy in the >> Yeah. So, I I'm honestly, like I said, he was literally like I didn't know she knew him. So, I just kind of got back to scanning my stuff and was like, I don't know what's going on. But he was like holding the bag. I just never seen nothing like that happening. So he was holding the bags and he was like grabbing the buggy and was like, "You not going nowhere." And all of that. And she was just like, you know, "What are you doing?" So I mean, he was, you know, I just feel like kind of doing too much. >> He was doing that to this girl over here. >> Yeah. >> Got it. Okay. >> Yeah. Cuz I was like, I don't know why would he do all of that. So >> yeah, >> seems odd, but >> it was I never seen him do nothing like that and I'm like, what's going on? >> Okay. So, you weren't involved in anything aside from just seeing what was going on and >> I don't have nothing to do with that stuff. I don't know what's going on. But like I said, I have never seen nobody, you know, like grabbing buggies and bags and stuff. So, I was confused though. >> Okay. Was he saying anything to her or just like >> He was just like, "You going to jail for trespassing or something?" And she was like, "I'm not even done scaring myself." She was like, "Get back." >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Fair enough. >> Yeah. >> Um, are you just going to head home now or what's the plan? Just >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. >> Like, what's wrong? >> No, just just asking. just >> look I was going to say cuz I wasn't expecting all that happen I said what is going on don't touch me don't touch me >> and right on quue the crazy customer showed up armed with an astonishing amount of entitlement and seemingly convinced that she could simply walt her way out of the situation but after everything that had already unfolded that was going to be much easier said than done >> is that uh okay so you were the one that he was messing with >> yeah he almost split my baby out that And I sure did. I did. >> Yeah. I just told him that I feel like I didn't know. I ain't never seen nobody doing that cuz I was confused cuz she was scanning her stuff and he was even let me finish scanning my stuff. Then you come up to me all I'm going to slip my baby out of park. How you going to react to somebody I'm going to slip your kid out of park? >> That's fair. >> Which one? >> Who has who has green leggings? >> Somebody said somebody has green leggings on. Nobody has green leggings. >> Green leggings. >> Was there anybody else in there that y'all knew or? >> Mm. No. Like I said, I was by myself just scanning myself and I look over and seeing, you know, him at the buggy with the gra. He was like in the buggy like this and stuff and was grabbing. I'm like, who was that? >> Okay. >> And then he was just like uh he was saying I think he was saying you going to jail for trespassing or something. And she was like, "Who are you?" He st you going to jail for trespassing. You going to jail for trespassing? I'm asking him like, "Who the are you and how am I trespassing?" >> Yeah. You don't know him or anything. You never know. >> No, I never seen that man a day in my life. Okay, fair enough. >> Oh Jesus, this >> it's getting a little late. >> We're going to have him look at some video or something and figure out what's going on here. Totally here and then we'll get you guys out of here. >> Hold on. What you say you need? What do you need? I mean, cuz she didn't even get the the stuff, the buggy or whatever. >> Eva, send us a picture. Rainbow. >> I'm trying to >> Because we have reasonable suspicion that a crime was committed inside Walmart and you were involved. >> No, I wasn't involved. I wasn't involved. I wasn't actually All right. Once we figure it out and dispel our reasonable suspicion, you'll be free to be on your way. Okay? Right now, you're not under arrest, but you're not free to leave. >> Like, I'm telling y'all what happened. >> He pressed charge on me, I'm press charged back on him. He can't touch me. So, I got the right to defend myself. So, hey. >> Well, well, here's the deal, young lady. >> He's talking about I'm >> Illinois law allows retailers to use reasonable force to protect their their business and their property, which involves touching people, >> right? But, okay, that's the law. But having said that, having said that, you are free to proceed with civil litigation against Walmart if you say you if you didn't obtain an attorney and and >> right because my thing is though, he never announced who he was >> had he would have said like >> I'm not sure he has to do that. >> No, even even I as a police don't really have to identify myself as a police officer when I come out to affect an arrest or take law enforcement action. It's certainly helpful if I do and common courtesy usually says so. But >> why would identify stand right here? Okay. >> I think we got the one if you want to bring him down. >> Go behind. Just as the officers were confirming what had actually happened and making sure every detail lined up, another troubling truth came to light. One that turned an already bad day for her into an even worse one. >> Huh? >> Yeah. I guess cuz of she I don't know. You know, >> and then he's laughing and playing like it's funny and it's not funny. Like I don't find nothing funny about you. >> So go ahead and place your hands behind your back. You're under arrest. You do have a warrant for retail theft. You're also going to be arrested for uh misdemeanor battery. >> I got a warrant for retail theft. What? Uh you think I can. >> Is this you back or your >> Yeah. Can I call some um body to come in? >> Is friend able to drive or? >> No, she she don't know how to drive. I can call my she stay literally right down here. >> She ran a foul in here. >> Yeah. >> All right. We'll get something figured out here. Okay. >> How many is your phone? Anything else you need in the car? >> Yeah. My stuff. I need my phone. Um, >> wallet, purse, whatever. >> Yeah, my purse. I guess my to leave my keys to somebody have to come get my phone and stuff. >> Okay. Yeah, we'll work all that out. Okay. I'm going to have you come sit in this car here. We'll get all your stuff. >> Okay. Can I just tell my cousin to just call her mama right here? >> You talk to her real quick. Yeah. >> Then they talking about I got a warrant for retail theft somewhere. I don't even know why that >> Yeah, we can let you know that here in a minute. We don't have the information right now, but >> Okay. So, can I press um can I press charge on him? >> Well, I'll have to look at the video and see what'll happen, but we'll go hop in the car. Okay. >> Like that's just so so >> I feel I know it's it's frustrating >> like because like if he could have just said identified him like >> Yeah. Yeah. It would have been a lot easier for Tiana Sean in my phone. It's like daddy Dang. 5 2 3 6. >> All right. Watch your head there. In the end, she was charged with battery, trespassing, and retail theft. Just seen it at all. Along comes 28-year-old Tiara, a woman who had already been banned from a store after allegedly assaulting a staff member, yet somehow decided that that was only just the beginning. If you're trying to figure out what's going on, don't try to figure out what's going on if you can't help what's going on. >> Stay here for now. Stay. You can't go inside right now. I told you I >> All I'm trying to do is get a lighter so I can calm down. >> I can't go behind MY SHOE FROM IN THERE. >> NO, you're trying. >> I CAN SHOW YOU. I CAN'T I DON'T EVEN KNOW. >> You're under arrest. >> On the 16th of April, 2022, officers were dispatched to a local store after a report came in about a woman assaulting someone over a denied request for a lighter. When they arrived on the scene, they had no idea they're about to encounter one of the most psychotic customers of the day. >> All I need is a lighter. >> Hey, what's going on? >> Anybody have a lighter? >> So, all you need is a lighter. >> Yes. >> Okay, we'll get it figured out, right? >> Somebody threw my lighter when I pulled up. If that if that if it wasn't about the lighter, I wouldn't even have no reason to speak to that woman. >> Okay. >> That's why they told her. >> Okay. >> Oh, yeah. Y'all, you need to go in. >> I don't have one. I'm sorry. I'll let you use it if I did. Well, why did you ask me? >> I was just trying to figure out what's going on. Sorry, I don't have a helmet. >> Well, if you're trying to figure out what's going on, don't try to figure out what's going on if you can't help what's going on. >> Well, I don't have a lighter. I'm sorry. >> That's what I'm saying. If you can't help what's going on, then just >> Well, I had no clue. >> I asked you a question. That's all. >> Please back up cuz this is the same that's been just pissing me off all day. >> What's going on? >> This is my first Easter without my nana. >> I'm sorry to hear that. And it feels like I'm just numb today. It's like nothing is bothering me. Nobody can pick on me. Nobody can get on my nerves. Nobody can do anything to me. >> Okay. >> Because I'm numb today. >> I hear you. >> And I don't even know why. >> But the last thing I do know, you know what? All I need is a >> I just need a lighter right now. >> We'll get it figured out. Okay. >> I need a lighter right now. >> I give you one if I have one on me. >> Can I get one from inside the store? Look, we got we got a call. So, we got to figure out what happened. As soon as we do that, you can get your lighter. All right. >> All right. >> Is that fair? >> I'm not I'm That's the thing. I'm not trying to start a problem. That's what I've been trying to tell them the whole time. >> When I had my lighter and I sw through my lighter. >> Stay here for now. Stay. You can't go inside right now. >> I told you. >> I All I'm trying to do is get a lighter so I can calm down. >> Okay. So, can you go ask them can I get a lighter? >> Like I >> We got a call. So, we have to handle that first. >> Okay. You can use the lighter. >> One of the officers then approached the employee that was assaulted to hear her side of the incident. >> The one that that woman is like pretty much assaulted. >> Okay. What What happened? >> She was complaining that someone took her lighter and she came in for a lighter, but she didn't seem to be happy with that. She would have to buy it. >> Okay. >> To use it. >> So, she's trying to basically borrow a lighter without paying for it. Yeah. And and I said that it was just the lighter and she came up behind the counter and I had some customers in the store. They were telling her to get away from me. I had just walked out. I was going home. After the confrontation between her and the customer, she was still behind the counter and she came up to my up to me and she told me to swing at her and she like literally went into my face. Like her teeth left bumps on my head. >> So like she made physical contact. Okay. So here's the most important question of the night. Are you wanting to go to trial for this or do you just want her out of here? >> And I don't even know why. >> I I just don't I don't want her back here. Okay. She basically just want to trespass her and get her out of here. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. That's fine. Um I will have her do that so you can go home and relax and we'll get her out of here. >> As one officer gathered the details of the incident from the victim, the others informed Tiara that she was no longer welcome at [music] the store. However, this news wasn't what Tiara was expecting for some reason, and her reaction made it clear she wasn't going to take it lightly. >> I have to trespass you. Can't have you here anymore. I'm sorry. Uh-huh. >> Well, then I can walk away. >> Yeah. >> Unfortunately, we had to go to that extreme. >> That's what I'm saying. I know how to walk away. >> All right. Just understand the law. >> If you come back, you'll be arrested. So, >> ain't nobody ain't nobody. >> I know the law. >> I just told you. >> I just told you. >> Okay. >> I know the law. >> So, you're not allowed to go. >> I'm trying TO GET MY OTHER SHOE. >> WHERE IS IT? >> I ONLY HAVE ONE shoe on. >> Where's it at? >> I can't go GET MY OTHER SHOE FROM IN THERE. NO, you're trusting. >> I CAN SHOW YOU, BUT I CAN'T. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. >> We're trying to find that. You're under arrest. >> Stop resisting. You understand me? You're going to get >> I'm not resisting. You just told me I was under arrest a second ago and that's when I stopped. The madness the madness. Why somebody trying to resist on you? >> I'm sitting down. >> Can I sit down? >> Yep. Sit down. >> Thank you. Can I get a lighter for trespassing? >> Please. >> And I going to give it TO YOU. >> TRESPASS ME for what? I didn't trespass nowhere. I didn't even go inside the store. When y'all told me to stop, I stopped. >> You just tried to walk right inside the store. >> I did try to walk inside the store, but when y'all told me to stop, I stopped as soon as he told me to stop. >> Yes, I did. Watch the cameras back. >> I got one on me, too. I you can WATCH THE CAMERA'S BACK. I KNOW WHAT I DID. >> All right. As soon as I realized Okay, maybe I didn't realize that first. But as soon as I realized he was telling me to stop, I stopped trying to walk in that door. I stopped resisting. I came back. I turned around and sat down here with you. >> Okay. What's your first name? >> I'm waiting till I get a lighter. >> You're not getting a lighter. What's your first name or you're catching another charge? No. >> The woman was unwilling to give her personal information to the officers. You >> don't want to do it? >> I can try to provide my information. I got to I got to figure out what's going on. >> You're being arrested for trespassing. You're very fortunate. I'm not charging you with bad. >> I haven't trespassed anywhere. >> Okay. >> And I know the law. >> Okay. So, what's your first name? You're just making this harder on yourself. >> I'm saying I know the law for myself. >> So, what's your first name? >> I know I don't have to go to law. If y'all would have told me my charges, I could HAVE TOLD Y'ALL MY CHARGES. Hold on. But guess what? If the police tell you your charges, then you have a right to tell them that you can't. If the police don't tell you nothing, >> can you swing your legs up? >> You don't have to tell them. >> So I don't have to tell him a goddamn thing. >> You don't have to tell him anything. >> Exactly. He asked me nicely and he didn't get to He asked me nicely and I asked him nicely. >> Can they tell me what was going on? >> You know, >> NOBODY WOULD. NO, I DON'T. I'm sitting here asking him. >> All right. >> So, can I figure out what's going on >> first? >> I don't know what >> Hold on. Before I tell him any of my information, can I figure out what's going on? >> All he asked you for was your name, and he wouldn't give it to me. >> No, I want to figure out why he wants my name for what is so difficult that it's going on right now with him. >> Why did he ask for your name? Is that what you're asking? >> YES. AND AND THAT'S WHAT I said just three times. >> And you act like you didn't understand that. >> But then when I say it a whole different way when I ask it perfectly clearly, what is the officer's name? >> Three times. You act like you didn't hear that. >> Despite numerous explanations that she couldn't enter the store to get a lighter, the woman refused to back down. her stubbornness only intensifying as the situation escalated. >> But when I'm asking a question, oh, she's just asking a question. Oh, she doesn't need a cigarette. I done told y'all I needed a cigarette to calm my nerves so I could be calm with y'all. So, I didn't snap on y'all because I didn't have a reason to. >> Okay. I'm sorry. I'm not quite sure what you're asking. >> Exactly. Calm down. >> THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I'M SAYING. >> Calm down. >> No, cuz that's exactly what I'm saying. That is the exact that I'm saying right now. Run the videos back. See if I hit anybody. If I did any of this, >> I I get it. Just don't do that. All right. I'm not >> I don't give a What I did was lifted my leg up. push and kick them over and over again. Then you can watch the cameras and see that. >> Okay. >> So, you think I'm lying about that? >> It wasn't her. This is not my camera. >> Exactly. So, don't tell me I'm lying about >> Place the cameras on. Run the cameras back cuz he said, >> "Well, they will eventually. They're going to look at the cameras." >> Okay, they can look at all the cameras right now. >> The story, but they hold on. They're trying to arrest me for some stuff that they didn't even see. >> Tried to go back in. never seen. Can I get a camera from I mean I mean a lighter from inside the store. Not at this point. >> I need a lighter to calm down. Y'all want me to CALM DOWN SO BAD. I'm trying to calm down and I'm telling y'all this is what I >> that chance. You got to >> I need a lighter. You can't get one. You can't smoke it anyway. >> Yes. The I can There's a bunch of lighters in there. I've seen them pull a lighter out the store [music] when they were >> stay seated >> when they asked me and I went right in front of that door. I never even touched the door. >> YOU CAN RUN THE CAMERAS BACK. I DON'T HAVE NO REASON TO PLAY. >> They will in the morning. They'll run. Man, I don't give a >> Just when the officers thought that the situation had settled, Tiara suddenly reached for something, immediately drawing their attention and escalating the tension once again. >> You know what? That um you know what? >> I got it. >> Stop. >> No, cuz I'm about to call my mama. >> Stop reaching for stuff. >> I'm I'm about to call my mama. >> Whatever you tell I'm not holding on to anything. I have seizures. My whole body is clinching. You're gripping it with two hands. >> Been doing that. >> Can you stand up for me? What's your name? >> Sit up. >> What's your name? >> So, unclench your fist. >> Let it go. Just do what they tell you. >> Unlench your fist. >> Unlench your fist. >> Let it go. >> I can't do nothing. >> There's one. >> Okay. >> Okay. So if she's >> unclench your fist doing it unclench your fist. >> You're doing it unclench your fist. >> You just took it out of my head. >> What the is that? >> We're only going to ask you so much. Okay. >> I understand that. >> Face the wall. >> I didn't ask y'all to ask me nothing else. >> Face the wall. >> Stay right here. >> I'm trying to get to the >> You're fine right where you're at. >> I was trying to get to the tree. >> No. >> You want to lean up against the wall? You can do that. >> No. I'm trying to listen. This isn't for your own comfort. Stop. >> Either sit where Adelina gets to walk. Which one? >> What? >> Obviously, it's up to y'all word. It's not what if it's not about what I want. Whatever I want. Y'all going to do the opposite. >> Sit right there. Sit right there. >> Nah. Nah. Come on. >> No. Y'all keep saying I'mma sit right here. I'mma I'mma go wherever I want. >> And I told y'all all I was trying to do was agree with y'all. Y'all still tried to make it seem like I was trying to >> Yes, you were. I kept saying stuff to you, ma'am. Like what? >> Like, uh, you keep trying to make all these stories up. >> She just got here. >> I'm not talking about her making stories up. >> Okay. >> I'm Don't play with me. >> All right. Stand up. I'm not. >> You really want us to drag you? >> I want y'all to get in there way. >> They think I think they think I >> get in the car. >> Get inside. >> What? Just put her on her like me, bro. >> Drag her in here. Why don't you clutch her figure out too? Ain't that what you do? >> I wish I would. >> I wish I would. >> I wish I would. >> I wish I would. >> Yeah, y'all would be locked up. My car. In the end, Tiara was charged with battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and trespassing. This lady was crazy, but she wasn't as entitled as these sisters who thought attacking a store employee was the perfect response to being caught shoplifting. >> Okay, that's fine. Like I said, I I want to see the video footage. >> Cut there, cut on the nose, and then inside the >> and then rip the shirt. On March the 22nd, 2023 in Tampa, Florida, deputies were dispatched to a local Walmart after reports of a shoplifting incident involving two sisters. According to reports, one of the sisters had assaulted a Walmart employee while trying to force her way out of the store. Upon arrival, deputies first moved in to calm the scene before beginning a full investigation into what had actually transpired. >> Sorry, you guys got your IDs on you? >> I'm a minor. >> Huh? >> I'm a minor. >> That's fine. We'll get your parent out here. >> She's on her way. Okay. >> All right. Can we get your ID? >> Get your ID. Come on. >> Make this easier. We can do it the hard way. >> I would just like I'll show you my ID. No, I'm Trust me, I'm not trying to not comply, but I want all the video footage to be shown. >> That's fine. We're going to see all the video footage. We need ID. >> We're trying to speed this up. >> You can either give us IDs or you handcuff right now. What do you want to do? >> What is the identify you? >> I want to wait for my parent to get here first. And I also No, I'm not. But she is. And I'm not getting >> Okay. So, you're not invited. here about to go to handcuff the back of my car. So, what do you want to do? Give us a side or not? >> For some reason, she seemed to think that she was the one running the show by brushing aside the officer's commands and dishing out instructions as if she was leading the investigation herself. But that false sense of authority was on borrowed time because it was only a matter of time before the deputies reminded her exactly who was in charge. >> Okay, that's fine. Like I said, I I want to see the video footage. This is so exting. I hope you know that. >> I'm being literally pushed across this room. I'm not dropped anywhere. I did not find my >> That's fine. It's all in body cam. >> I said she can have my phone in my purse. That's literally it. They're arrested. This whole thing is extra as [laughter] hell. She's detained. Not arrested. Detained. >> Detained. >> Take a seat. >> No, I want >> Mom says, "Stop talking. You're represented by a >> So, at this black girl starts concealing into the purse." >> Okay. That's what like the ordering some crap. >> So, did y'all just come from Washington State? >> Yes. >> And y'all just come to Florida and steal. That's what we do. This one. What's your name? >> All right, you can play an easy way or hard way. You guys both stole. You don't want to cooperate, you can both go to jail. If you want to cooperate, there's other ways we can work. I'm just asking your name. I'm not asking questions about this. >> I'm willing to wait for her. >> I'm not asking you. You're already She's my little sister. >> That's good for you. You want to go in the car cuz we can go in the car. >> Nothing else. I'm not resistant. I'm going to try to give you a hard time. You can have all my things. I know my first name. >> Yeah. Yeah. And I still don't understand how a random employee could put their hands on you, but Oh [ __ ] >> Yeah. Cut there. Cut on the nose and then inside the lip >> and then rip the shirt. >> All right. Do you want to give us your name or no? >> They're actually yelling at me because I'm like, do I wait for my mom to get here? We're going to ask you about what happened when I was talking about saying hardly. >> You're not giving us your name. >> Come on. Stop. Okay. I'll give you my name. Don't. >> All you have to do is give us your name. >> Identify yourself. >> I'm talking to you on the phone. As part of the investigation, deputies continued speaking with the employee, who had borne the brunt of the sister's anger for daring to stand in their way during the alleged shoplifting heist. >> She probably like this head. >> Oh, she heading. >> I mean, you're going to see I was trying to grab the bag. Look, I was trying to grab the back. >> Yeah. See? >> Yeah. >> The back. And she fighting me, but I was like, >> Yeah. See, >> she's punching trying to get away. No. Bro, just hit the play button working. Just hit play. See. Meanwhile, as the investigation continued, their mom finally showed up ready to defend her daughters no matter what. >> She doesn't want to talk to her dad. >> Okay. That means she's going to jail. >> So, what would you change for her? She She's telling me that she was I told her not to say anything. That's why they're arresting her cuz she won't talk. >> But you do know she committed a multiple crime. She won choplifted from here within the state of Florida. It was just a misdemeanor. All she had to do is cooperate and we give her a court date. But she's refusing. >> Know that it was typical for law prevention to grab people. >> It is when they have their ID in their hand showing them on camera. That's right here. >> That's >> I mean I have video. >> You can do whatever you got to do right now. >> Okay, but I'm trying to talk to you about your other daughter. Trying to talk to you about your other daughter. >> Yeah. >> Same thing I just told you about her. You can't talk to her cuz she's an adult. I can't talk to her. All I do is ask the younger one her name and stuff. about to ask you permission to talk to them. Like I said, either go to jail for not cooperating or cooperate. There's other routes where she can go home with you tonight. >> No, I don't I don't want her to talk to anybody because there >> it's not a setup. It's easy. >> I know it's coming from you, but like you >> I'm not I'm trying to help you out. Can you just listen to me? >> I'm trying to listen, but I don't want my jeopardize anything by And I don't want anyone talking until just listen. You stop talking. Listen. So $40. It's unlisted either. We don't take people to jail for that. We only taking her cuz she beat up the other guy. Like I said, he from his nose and eye. You can't just beat up somebody and walk away with it. Your daughter didn't do that. She was the one that did that. So she only has one charge versus her who has multiple charges. She just has to say, "Yes, I did it. I'm sorry for it." And we give you a piece of paper. And she doesn't go to jail. anything. >> There's plans. I can show you the video. >> What happens if we if she says nothing? You're going to arrest her, too? >> Yes, exactly. But before we even do this, >> they're going to arrest Olivia, too. Unless she admits to the police. >> Will it help if I show you all the video so you can see yourself, ma'am? >> Yeah, let me see the video. Okay. You're showing me videos of of an altercation between my daughter and your staff, but you're not showing me what this one did at all. Our attorney will handle that. I don't need to see that. I just need to see what happened with her. She's putting the merchandise into her purse now. >> How is it admitting anything that she tells you? She still gets to stand before a judge. This is ridiculous. Let me take my daughter home. >> Not how it works in the state of Florida. I'm trying to tell you. >> Okay. Well, tell me straight like we have to talk to you cuz you're an adult. She's a Google mom. We gave her a piece of paper saying yes, I did it. Even though we already know she did it, so it's not going to hurt me. It's up to you guys how you guys want to handle it. >> We didn't even know. You said you came from outside of Walmart and came and started talking to us. I didn't >> I don't want my security. Can you call me? >> All right. Can you step outside? >> And I can't even understand your accent. >> We're trying to just figure this out. >> It was hard to understand. And there's a lot of people around. And he came out with like his hands open. So like I didn't know. I mean, can you read things or just go through your face? I mean, that's all I could see. It was right here. It seemed like it was just some random guy coming. >> We're just not going to argue about this either. We got to do what we got to do. Apparently, the mom seemed far more upset that her daughters had been caught than she was about what they were accused of doing. >> We want to search you real quick. >> Anything to harm me, poke me, hurt me? >> You want your stuff to stay with your mom? >> You want her to sign a paper saying that she did it. So, you want her to admit to something without being I saw the video, but what you're asking me is to have her wave her rights to go in front of a judge or you're going to take her to jail. Is that like what is the paper? Let me read it. >> All right. You want to come over here and read it, man? Let me read it together. >> It's called a jackal arrest. You >> understand it? >> Well, I understand it, but what is it? What is it? Like, it's an arrest avoidance, but what is it? You have to contact the Jack place juvenile place within two business days and you guys are still going to have to go down to the courthouse and talk about this. She does you're not getting away with it regardless. You have to agree to this while I'm talking to you and not her about it. >> So what? We just contact them in two business days and then what? No, I and I still and I used my sister's bag. Okay, >> come sign this for me. Let me just take a picture of you right there. >> With that out of the way, the officers turned their attention to the older sister as they prepared to transport her to her new home. >> All right, ma'am. You want to step out? You just grab a seat right here for me real quick. Any drugs, weapons, anything on you. Are you pregnant? >> I hope to God. >> Those would be pretty hard to run in. >> You know, they're not bad, actually. I bet you I could give you a good run. No one gives a >> Okay. Well, they do. So, she doesn't if she take the diversion program, she's not going to just go home. >> I had a petty theft charge 20 years ago, and I have a job that probably pays less than the sheriff. So, >> I got you. Like, she's fine. Everybody's fine. I'm worried about that one. I want her to get processed. She has an attorney. >> Which one? The other one? >> The one in the truck has an attorney. >> The one in the truck's already in jail. >> She's not in my truck anymore. >> No, she's in jail. Or maybe she was just after the free meals. Whatever the reason, she was about to get her wish sooner rather than later. In the end, she was charged with trespassing and disorderly conduct.
