On February 22nd, 2024, an officer conducted a traffic stop for excessive speed and an obstructed license >> Looks like in Florida. Sheriff of Florida, I already like it. We went back to an oldie but goodie, body cam watches where we found this video. Sam says he loves it because it's short and it's good. So, we're going to see. I haven't seen it yet. That's still 10 mph over the posted speed limit. It's 25. No, it's not 25? Sir, I was going ahead 35. So, that's 10 over You just told me that you're going 10 over the posted speed limit. The other issue is your license plate cover is illegal. You can't have a tinted license plate cover over your license plate. >> Same here. I pull people over for absolutely innocuous violations all the time. 11 mph over, a tinted license plate cover, neither one of those are the most egregious offense that I could find. But, they're great articulable reasons to conduct a traffic stop and go and talk to a driver. That's it. Sometimes you just you do a traffic stop because you just want to go and you you want make the traffic stop be a visual deterrent, go there, contact the driver. If everything is in line, you give them a warning, them down the road. Super easy. This could have been a very, very simple traffic stop, but we're watching it. So, it's probably not. Before I ask for any documentation, are there any weapons in the vehicle? Guns, knives, hand grenades, tomahawk missiles? Okay, I need your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance. >> I like this guy. I uh I think we should go to my doctor. No, I need your driver's license, registration, proof of insurance. You were You were told to give me your license during lawful detainment for a traffic violation, multiple traffic violations. You advised you were not going to give it to me and that you're not driving, you're traveling while you're sitting in the driver's seat of this vehicle operating on the highways of Florida. Love it. This guy's threshold for BS is like at ground level. I love it. So, the internet has brought this sovereign citizen phenomenon to a you know, to everyone, the focus of everyone's attention. It really doesn't happen all that often. Um in Pinal County, we've I'm there have been some instances of people being stopped that believe in that sovereign philosophy. Um I couldn't tell you the last time I actually stopped someone that pulled the I'm traveling, I'm not driving, I'm traveling card. I mean, it's literally it's been years. Um so, also in Pinal County, I think the general public knows that that as an agency and the culture within the agency and the belief from the sheriff all the way down the chain is that we're not going to stand for that. So, even if it does happen, it certainly doesn't last very long. Is there anything in that vehicle I need to know about? No, sir. Okay. Immediately regretting the decision as she sees the repercussions. Have a seat. And we're done. Yes. 4260 John's. I found my driver in prior contact. She is very much suspended. All right, I need to call my lawyer. >> Nice. And suspended. Yet another criminal offense. Nice check. I like it. Thorough. We all have watched TikTok attorneys, YouTube attorneys, like, "You can't search that car." That is not correct. An arrest was made out of that car. Um he is this officer needs to conduct a full inventory of the vehicle because he's towing it. So, you can't tow the car and give it into someone else's custody without conducting an inventory. A search and inventory are different. He is not looking for contraband, he is simply conducting an inventory of this vehicle to make sure that there's no items of value in there so he can document them before she goes to jail, and then she can get her car back whenever that is. When Whenever she's unsuspended. But, TikTok attorneys know the difference. And YouTube attorneys. YouTube law degree? Look that one up. I'm not driving, I'm traveling. I heard that. We pulled her over recently. Luckily, in the same vehicle. So, I just looked at the vehicle, oh, she's in the medical field. That's super comforting. Jesus. They let delusional people provide medical care. Yeah, I think she's like a home health care nurse. That's terrible. Oh, that's not Imagine that person taking care of your family. All right, that's not the same thing, but >> caregiver. If you have an inability to understand the basic foundations of law and order and how that's a requirement and a necessity for a civilized society, you probably shouldn't be caring for other people. Like, if your if your threshold for understanding has been so [ __ ] that you can't understand that laws help keep people safe and keep society in line, um you don't need to be caring for someone. So, being a caregiver is a it's an awesome job, and it's a job that people that do it and love it um are wonderful at it and it's absolutely needed.
