American stupid. Get out. Come on. You're not going to push my grandma in the face. I got to get out. Show him what the I'm arrested for for battery, bro. Show him I'm arrested for battery, bro. It's May 13th, 2023 in Carl'sbad, New Mexico. At around 8:30 p.m., officers are dispatched to Carl'sbad Medical Center after two women are reported fighting in the lobby. After seeing the scuffle in action, Corporal James Loggden of the Carlsbad Police Department jumps out to help. Here's his point of view from his police body cam. Everything's fine, dude. She was drugged at work. No, nobody was drugged at work, bro. Lawn crime body cam is where we found this video. Uh, we liked it. There's some more like this on there. So, uh, check out their page. See what they got. Enough. Enough. Wow. So, this video starts out with nine minutes of utter boringness. So, I'm going to summarize it for you so you don't have to watch it. In that nine minutes, Carl's bed police department gets dispatched to a hospital. Officer gets there, finds a super drunk mom and daughter on the floor, like kind of not fighting, but like wrestling over keys uh to the car. Wow. Okay. Well, your daughter drove your daughter have the keys. No. Okay. And Jackie did chill out for exactly a second. Americ. [Music] Wow. Now we're done. See, you had your opportunity to calm down. Mom ends up getting arrested. Daughter is sober. Um, they work everything out and they figure out that they're just going to drive them to the house. So, one officer puts drunk mom in the back of his cruiser, transports her to the house, and that's what we have. I don't want her here, though, because like she she's obviously aggressive, and I'm not. Jackie's niece might have been on to something when she said she was aggressive. As she storms off, Jackie is seen on Officer Peacock's body cam shoving a wheelchair out of the way and attacking her mother on the patio. Whoa. Come on. You're not going to punch my grandma in the face like that. Get out. Come on. Get out. Whoa. Punched a lady in a wheelchair. New Mexico has battery. Um, not like what you put in a flashlight, but it's it's like a like a synonym to assault. There's something different. Some states have assault and battery. We just have assault here in Arizona. So, that's all that I know. Um, but apparently the rules are pretty much the same. The rules are kind of like what we like in society. You keep your hands to yourself. Um the threshold for using an unwanted amount of force towards your mother in a wheelchair is zero. That's how much force you can use. So she like pushes a wheelchair and like hits her or pushes her or slaps her or taps her, whatever it is. It's some sort of unwanted touching and the officer is like, "That's it. We're done with this. I have an arrestable charge now. That's all. So, she ends up getting hooked for a second time. This time for real Z's. And um they they take care of business there. Touch her. I went like this. I touch her. I said good. Okay. You can you can calm down or I can take you to the ground. We're going home. No, you're going to jail. What? She needs to go to the jail. I just watched you slap her in the face. I didn't drop her. I went like this. No, I just watched you. This is trippy. I watched you shove that wheelchair out of the way and hit her in the face. I said happy mother's day. And I'm Put your hands behind your back. Wow. Okay, I'm done playing nice. Get up against the car. Let's go. Battery on a household member in my presence. After Jackie was put back into the squad car for a second time, Officer Peacock went over to the front porch to get her mother's side of the story. As soon as there is a crime, a a assault or domestic violence or something like that against someone that you have a domestic relationship with, mother would count. Um, here, at least here in Arizona, we have to make an arrest. If there is father, son, brother, sister, mother, daughter, father, grandfather, aunt and uncle, whatever it is, whatever that that family relationship is, um, if there's an an assault that occurs, we are taking someone to jail. We do not have any discretion. And it sounds like New Mexico is the same way because this officer had he didn't hesitate for one second in knowing that she was going to go to jail for that battery. Jackie is driven back to the hospital for a medical evaluation before she can be taken to jail. Mother go tell my niece how to What do you want me to do? I want you to walk into the ER and then let's go. I'm not playing games with you. No, I'm not playing games with you either. You're not going to play quit or you're going to catch another charge. Quit or you're going to catch another charge for resisting. Officer Peacock eventually got Jackie through those doors. The obstacles didn't stop there. Can you please get this guy the out of here, please? Why? Available officer. Show him your video and get the on. Unlawful application of force. Get the out of here, bro. I've been a for 20 years. Get the out of here, peacock. I didn't do to my mom. You are nobody and you know it. Don't look in that classy lady. Out of here, bro. And the doctor arrives just in time. Hi. Hello. I'm Dr. Carl. How you doing? Can you test me for like drugs, alcohol, and then some and like abusive force and all kinds of other things that Mr. Peacock believes I did? Could this do these doctors like I got to spend a whole 36 hours in prison because of this mother. Maybe it could be your actions, too. Oh, maybe possibly. I like Peacock. I like Peacock's doctor. This doctor is awesome. Uh he walks up, she mouths off to him, he looks at her, looks at the officers, and pretty much goes, "She's cleared. Take her to jail." Which is awesome. like this is just a formality that they had to go through um so that the jail would accept her probably because of her high alcohol concentration. But this doctor put just as much effort into evaluating her as she required which was none. Uh she needed to go to jail. The hospital just being a pit stop and kind of an unnecessary evil. Um but ultimately she ended up exactly where she needed to be, which is in jail. Let's go. He's going to take you to jail right now. Okay. He's the only officer I have available to try. No. No. I ain't going to jail. We got a P test and some more. This dude brought me over here for that. I brought you over here to be medically cleared. The doctor brought me over here to be medically cleared for alcohol and some more. Okay. The doctor just cleared you. No. Hey, what do you mean he cleared you? That was the doctor you were talking to. It's not about whether or not you have it in your system. It's whether or not you're medically able to be in jail. Okay. The doctor has cleared you. We need to walk you back out to the unit. Okay. Don't make it any worse. That doctor's awesome. I'll walk you out there. What? Please. Please. I don't like this guy. Okay. I'm going to walk you out. He put me in jail because of my niece's little Get out of my face. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. And next time you want to take somebody to jail, you need to clear them first. After the doctor clears Jackie, officer logs in, escorts Jackie out of the hospital and back into Officer Peacock's squad car. probably a sergeant. Eddie County Detention Center. When Officer Peacock arrives at the station, Jackie's just about had it with her chauffeur. Hi. You ready? Just put your shoe down. There we go. All right. What's your name? Why does he have No. Why does he have a camera on me? Because Well, then I want a to turn it on. What's your name? I'm arrested under illegal pretenses by JP unlawful force of battery when I my mom too little snacks. She thinks I love you. What's your name? Without a lawyer, baby. Not with that camera. Okay. I got this. Jaclyn Crump was booked into the Eddie County Jail on charges of battery on a household member and resisting, evading, or obstructing an officer during her arrest. She was released from jail two days later and both charges were eventually dropped.
