the video i have for you today is going
to be an incident where officers were
dispatched to a back alley on a call
about a man who was acting strange
right after my introduction i'm going to
play the 9-1-1
call audio for you so you can hear what
the caller saw
and the reason that he called 9-1-1 what
you'll see is the officers arriving on
scene
they encounter a male who's wearing very
little clothing
and it was relatively cold outside you
can see that the officers are wearing
their jackets and their sweaters
when officers see somebody outside when
it's cold out
and they're not dressed appropriate for
the
dressed appropriately for the weather
that's a huge indicator that this person
is
on some kind of narcotics or use some
kind of drugs
the man was also hallucinating and doing
a lot of strange things
which you'll be able to see in the video
one other thing i would like to mention
is when i post these types of videos i
often see a lot of comments from people
asking
why were the police there this person
just needs medical attention
the answer for that is often when people
are under the influence of these drugs
and they're doing things like taking
their clothes off when it's cold outside
this that and the other those people
often act out in dangerous ways
ways that the paramedics are
not necessarily trained or equipped to
handle
so the officers will respond first make
sure that
everything is safe that way the medics
can
respond to the scene and then care for
the individual
this one while the guy was acting a
little strange it actually goes off
pretty easily and the officers were able
to get paramedics on scene
get this guy to hospital for treatment
with that being said
