what do you do for a living my teach students how to drive safely oh my God please help me I was just trying to get myself my rest are killing me mother when police in Pasco County Florida pulled over a car sporting a student driver sticker on the night of April 2nd 2022 they likely suspected to find a new driver struggling to obey traffic laws but instead of a student it was driving instructor Gregory Sorensen and the seemingly regular traffic stop was quickly revealed to be much more serious throughout the encounter Gregory would claim to be in severe pain while facing what he believed to be life-changing charges we'll leave it up to you to draw your own conclusion as you watch the bizarre situation play out the officer pulls Gregory Sorensen over after he notices him drifting between traffic Lanes after summoning backup the initial officer administers several sobriety tests including the classic challenge of asking Gregory to walk in a straight line down the side of the road foreign there you go mother as soon as he enters the car Gregory appears to be an intense physical pain however his night is about to get even worse when police search his car empty beer cans and a partially empty 24 pack of natural light are found in his back seat shortly after finding the alcohol the officer returns to the squad car I told you I shouldn't even way my whole life is complete I think it was that job can I make a phone call not yet can I take to pee you cannot take the you can start we cannot take the okay he's all right I have a cigarette I'll adjust them for you okay okay thank you sir I appreciate you being so Cooperative means the story yes sir what do you do for a living I was a truck driver for over 40 years and now I teach students how to drive safely where are you coming from um my wife said hey you know let's stop here in Stockyard and come home she wanted to say I said nope time for me to go home my wrists are killing me I know we got about another minute and 30 seconds before I get out of the car yes or happy shakespe and patient yes sir ready one two all right yeah not much in the wrists okay well I'll look at it again when it's time for the breath test it takes Sorensen upwards of five tries to provide officers with an accurate reading when the results come in Gregory denies the irrefutable proof as soon as the breath test proves that Sorensen was driving drunk the arresting officer becomes less responsive and places Sorensen back into the patrol car no they're locked and I still didn't make my phone call we have the Cuffs tighten up again okay wholly the officer's lack of response seems to make Sorensen even more frustrated and he grows increasingly insistent again I call my wife can I call my wife not right now you got my cell phone I have it okay mother really this is ridiculous oh my wrists are killing me my wrists are killing me can you please loosen the Cuffs up I'm not going anywhere I didn't do anything please loosen the cuffs please help me please please help me oh my God please help me I can't mind rests are killing me hello really sure is there any way you can loosen up my wrists because they boom went down okay just um talking to myself sir is there any way you can loosen up like a house there is Lucy they're gonna get I caught it sir there or like clamping down on my wrists Gregory's requests continue for a few more minutes but they go unanswered when the officer still doesn't loosen the Cuffs Gregory tries another tactic sir yeah you said I could have my cell phone I have or anything because and have a cigarette uh I don't have any cigarettes for you uh they were in my car and that's it and you said I could have a cigarette and a phone call please let me get that so I can notify my wife and have a cigarette before I go in for and hours of my life please I don't think I told you could have a cigarette yes but you did and he said you didn't make phone call again no he said I can use my cell phone and to call my wife and I was singing really wow that's all you fought uh in Orlando but what what what uh DUI call example media he told me I couldn't make a phone calls to my wife with myself and have a cigarette and then you went oh I never told you that wow hold on it's a guy you have a cigarette in government call my wife always need totally redeemed on that Gregory Sorensen was officially booked at Pasco County Jail later that night a blood test revealed that his blood alcohol level was about 0.2 nearly three times the legal limit it's both ironic and concerning that a driving instructor broke one of the most basic rules of the road thankfully nobody was hurt as a result of his driving but he was still charged with a DUI
