This is a game we no longer want to play with you. You should be welcoming us. You should You called us. Corrupt people often sit in high places and they often cling to the belief that power makes them untouchable, especially by the law. But what happens when good cops emphatically humiliate corrupt people in power? >> You're not pulling over a random. >> You're not pulling over your boss. >> I want to know what exactly are you getting behind me? >> I'm the one that hired you. I'm bringing you on. >> Are you Are you crazy? Yes. >> Absolutely. On your camera. I put you on. Here are several moments when good cops have humiliated corrupt people in power. Starting with this senior government official who turned a routine traffic stop into a full-blown circus like a reckless teen on a power trip. >> Ma'am, I need your driver's license. Yes, you did. >> Now, why you doing all this? Like, >> I need your driver's license, >> Mr. I'm fixing my vest. I need your driver's license. >> I need your driver's license. I'm not going to ask again. And then I need to get your driver's license. >> You're not going to arrest me. >> I'm going to drive you over to the jail right over I'm going to book you in for failing to stop at a stop sign times two. Have a seat. >> On January the 11th, 2025, a simple traffic stop turned anything but routine once ego and a drunken grip on authority came into play. >> Ran two stop signs and you're going to get a citation today. >> I was behind you, ma'am. You didn't You didn't even come to a complete stop. >> Sir, >> this stop sign right here. You >> I did not I did not >> I need your driver's license. >> I did not do that. >> I need your driver somewhere and You talking about you going to give me a ticket and all that. >> I need your driver's license. I >> come down this place. I did not go. >> Ma'am, I need your driver's license. Yes, you did. >> And why you doing all this? Like you >> I need your driver's license. >> Mr. Alon, >> I'm fixing my vest. I need your driver's license, ma'am. >> What's your name? >> Alanise. >> And who do you work with? >> Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. >> Tulsa County Sheriff. >> Yep. Ma'am, I'm stopping you cuz you're ran two stop signs. >> Why are you even I did not run to >> This is This is the Tulsa County. I >> I know, but I didn't run your stop sign. >> Okay. I need your driver's license. >> But how do we solve this if I know I didn't run your stop sign? Well, we can solve it in court. I need your driver's license. >> No, but you're not telling the truth. I did not come >> I am telling the truth. Yes, you did run to stop. >> How did I run to a stop sign? >> You didn't come to a complete stop at this stop sign here. And you didn't come to a complete stop on the other stop sign. No, you did not come to a stop. You said not a complete stop. >> You slowed down. You slowed down. You did not come to a stop. >> Huh? >> You slowed down. You did not even come to a stop at the stop sign. >> You slowed down. >> Uh-huh. >> State statute is you must come to a complete full stop. >> Okay. Okay. And I did stop at the stop. >> No, you didn't, ma'am. I need your driver's license. >> I do. >> Ma'am, I either >> Tell me. Tell me this. Tell me. >> Ma'am, I'm not going to ask you again. Can I get your driver's license >> or can I take you to jail on running a stop sign? I'm not going to ask you again. It's not for debate. >> Are you saying you're going to take me to jail for running a stop sign that I did not run? I need your driver's license. >> No. No, Mr. >> I need your driver's license. I'm not going to ask again. Then I need to get your driver's license. >> You're not going to arrest me when I did not. I stopped at the stop sign. And you have the audacity. driver's license. >> It could have ended with a citation or even a warning, but Regina Goodwin, later revealed as an Oklahoma state senator, decided to flex her power. >> If you don't give me your driver's license, if you don't give me your driver, >> do what you got to do. >> I need your driver's license. >> Do what you got to do. You're saying you're going to arrest me. Turn around. >> Okay. >> Okay. You're going to arrest me. And I did not run a stop sign. Okay. >> Relax for me. Relax. Relax. >> Relax your hands. >> I am relaxed. >> Yeah. Relax them. Relax. >> I am relaxed, sir. >> No, you're not relaxed. >> I am relaxed. I'm doing nothing here. I am relaxed. >> You ran two stops. >> You're not running. You're you're you're bending my stomach a little. >> Stop moving. Stop moving. Don't turn towards me, ma'am. I'm just saying. >> Don't turn towards me. >> Okay. First of all, I didn't know stop sign. Ma'am, stop moving towards me. >> Okay. But you know what? You are You really are putting too much pressure on myself. >> And I'm asking your name. I'm asking Freddy Alanise with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Can I ask? >> The reason why I pulled you over is because you ran two stop signs. >> And And why would you say that you're going to arrest me >> because you're refusing to give me a driver's license? >> No, sir. I'm I'm just telling you. I'm asking you the process. >> Yeah. I asked you about I don't know, maybe over eight times to give me >> and I said to you I didn't run the stop sign. If if I'm refusing if if I'm saying to you that I didn't run the two stop signs. >> Uhhuh. >> That's what I said to you. >> I know. >> Okay. >> And I asked for your driver's license several times. >> I need to turn my car off. >> No, ma'am. We're going to go right this way. >> You can turn my car. Yeah, he could. I can turn it off in a second. We're going to go right this way. >> We're going to go right this way. Ma'am, >> can you turn my car off? >> I will turn it off. Yep. We're going to go right this way. >> Nope. I'll take care of it. If you'll step right back to the sidewalk for me, please. I appreciate it. >> You know, I'm attorney Mike Man. >> That's fine, sir. Can you Can you stand over there for me? >> I'm going stand over here. I'm not going to obstruct anything. >> All right. Thank you. We're going to go right this way. >> You don't think this is really going too far, >> ma'am? We're going to go right this way. >> Okay. Could you not give me your driver's license? >> No. No. You I was asking you the process. I was asking you how is this going to work out? And you said if you don't stop, I'm going to arrest you. I said why would you? Yes, you did. Yes. That's why I asked. Why would you arrest me? >> I said if you don't give me your driver's license. >> That was not it. It was It was No. I said I said I said why would you arrest me is what I said. >> Because you're refusing to give me your driver's license. >> No. No. No. >> Have a seat. Have a seat. >> That is not what happened. >> That's exactly what happened. Have a seat. >> That is not because let me say this. When I said to you, I said, "How?" Let me let me >> That's exactly what happened. No, no, no, no. That is exactly what happened. That's what you asked me. And I said, >> "No, now you for driving the stop. You don't give me your driver's license. >> Why would you arrest me for this?" Is what I said. And then I'm disputing that I didn't stop at the stop sign, but I said, "Why would you arrest me for that?" Is what I said. >> Cuz you're refusing to give me your driver's license. >> No, that is not true. That is not true at all. I was having a conversation and you have a seat all of a sudden said, "I'll arrest you." And I said that and I thought I said or I can arrest you escalated something. No, sir. That is not >> okay. >> Why would that would even be an option for you? >> Have a seat. >> Why would that even be a >> Because you're refusing to There was no there was no refusal of my driver. I asked you over five times to give me your driver's license. >> But I was saying to you and you kept debating your driver's license. I'm not debating at all debating my driver's license. Sir, that is not correct. Why would you? As I was saying to you that you're telling me that I'm not stopping at the stop sign and then when you said I'll arrest you and then you escalated to I'll arrest you. >> Why would you not give me your driver license? >> I was having a conversation with you. I was asking your name. I asked you how do you pronounce your name? I asked you who are you? >> I'm not going to ask you again. Have a seat. >> Okay. Tell me. Let me Would you tell me this? What happens after you put me in this car? I'm asking you what happens after you put me in the car. >> I'm going to drive you over to the jail right over I'm going to book you in for failing to stop at a stop sign times two. >> As shameful and heartbreaking it was that someone entrusted with crafting laws and overseeing government acted so irrational and belligerent, neither scorn nor her ego shielded her from the consequences that followed. >> Have a seat for me right here. >> That that really makes sense to you. >> Have a seat right here. >> Then you wouldn't write a ticket if you were not listening to because I think you are going way overboard talking about taking me down, booking me. Have a seat right here >> because you're saying that I slowed down at the stop sign. I didn't >> I'm saying that >> is what you said. >> No, you said you said >> see you just keep you just keep making things up. No, have a seat. Have a seat. Come on, ma'am. Have a seat. You just keep saying these different things and different words. >> Let me get my leg up. >> Okay. Yep. You keep saying you keep Yes, you are. You keep saying that I'm that I'm saying things that I did not say. In the end, Goodwin was let go at the scene with nothing more than a citation for running a stop sign and a looming court date on the horizon. While her defiance raised eyebrows, it was child's play compared to a sitting Cook County Board of Review Commissioner who was caught drunk driving but refused to go down without swinging and trading his dignity for defiance. >> Well, ma'am, you're involved in the accident. You've hit up several cars. >> Two. >> Because right now at this point, you're refusing to provide me any. >> I am. >> You are. You realize that, right? >> Yes. I've been elected official. >> You what? >> I don't want any of this. >> And she smelled like alcohol. She's been drinking. We just been Oh, you've been recorded all the time. >> On November the 10th, 2024, Chicago police stopped a woman suspected of driving under the influence after she slammed into two parked cars. But the night was far from over. The driver wasn't just any citizen, and her attitude only made matters worse. >> Are you all right? Do you need an ambulance or anything? >> Okay. What? >> Do you need an ambulance or anything? Let's Let's walk to your car, cuz I don't want you to get hit by a car. Okay. >> Well, am I? >> Yeah. I see that your car here, ma'am. Right over here. Right over here. Right over here. Right over here. Okay. You start off with your driver's license, please. >> Sure. >> Why don't you have a seat in your car, man? Why don't you have a seat in your car? >> Mhm. >> Let's start off with your driver's license and your proof of insurance. Okay. >> Yeah, right here. >> Okay. He must have said driver's license and >> who's this? >> My attorney. >> Your who? Your attorney. All right. You can call him in a little bit cuz right now everything's recording audio video. Okay. But uh you're involved in a traffic accident. I like to see your driver's license and your proof of insurance. Ask him. >> Okay. He's not driving you. >> Just Just hang. >> Yeah. Just hang up, Samantha. I'll be there. Tell him I'm on my way. He's on his way. >> Yes. She said he said he'll be on your way. >> Okay. Let's start off with your driver's license and your >> I'll wait for him. >> I know, ma'am, but I need to see your driver's license to verify you're okay to be driving. And number two, your insurance to start the paperwork. There's some damage done to your car. >> I'll wait for him. May I tell you that everything is being audio and videotaped. Okay. >> I'm just saying I'm wait I'll >> I'm requesting your driver's license and your proof of insurance. I'm sure you can provide me with those two things while we're waiting for your attorney's insurance. >> I'll wait for him. >> Okay. But we don't have to wait for him. I need >> I need to wait for him. >> Okay, ma'am. We don't mean to make this any more complicated than it already is. It's just an accident. I just need to see your driver's license. >> I'll wait for him. >> Okay, ma'am. Do you want me to handcuff you and arrest you? >> No. >> Because right now at this point, you're refusing to provide me any >> I am. >> You are. You realize that, right? >> Yes. I've been elected official. >> You what? >> I don't want any of this. >> Well, ma'am, you're involved in an accident. >> You've hit several cars. >> Two. >> So, yeah. I need to see your driver's license so I can start the paper. >> Pull out in front of me. I >> Okay, great. I'll ask you that in a second, but I already need to verify. This is your This is your car. >> No, it's my friend's car. >> It's your friend's car. Okay. Do you have a valid driver's license? >> I do. >> Okay, great. >> And I have insurance. >> How about an ID? >> I do. >> Okay. Can I see some of those so I can know who you are? >> My attorney. >> Okay. >> Her defiance was already through the roof. But if the officers thought he'd seen it all, he was in for an evening that would raise eyebrows and drop jaws. >> Okay. I'm trying to I'm just trying to work with you here. >> But you're not providing me your driver's license and insurance. >> Nope. And why are we waiting for your attorney for him? >> This is my friend. >> He's their friend. Okay. But he wasn't here in the car. >> Okay. You want to give him a call? >> He's coming. >> Okay. You want to give him a call so I can talk to him? >> You want to talk to him? >> Yeah, please. >> Officer wants to talk to you. >> Okay. >> This is officer finance with his district. Oops. >> Officer, how are you? Your client here, >> your client here was involved in an accident. >> How far are you? >> Hello. >> Uh, like 25 minutes. >> Okay. I need to see her driver's license and her proof of insurance and she's understanding that she doesn't have to provide that to me until you arrive. Can you advise her client? >> That is not true. >> That I I would be happy to advise her of what the law is. >> Okay. Please. Can you advise her so I could get this paperwork started? I will. >> Great. Thank you. Now, you listen to that. >> Yeah. I know it's time to sign. >> Can you hear me? >> Yeah, let me hear you. >> All right. So, go ahead. It is by state law. You have to give them your driver's license, your insurance information. >> That's great advice. >> You can then start the paperwork. That is exactly what you should do. And I'll be there in about 29 minutes and give further advice. That's all that's all you're required to do. Your name and your driver's license and insurance that is. >> And you said this is not your car, right? >> No, it's my car. Do you happen to have Do you happen to know if he has insurance? >> He does. >> Can you go look in the glove compartment for me? >> It's a fancy car. I don't >> Yeah, I understand that. >> I just need to look at see if he's got insurance. >> I don't know how to open the fancy. [Music] >> You want me to take a look to see if he's got it? >> Oh, he's got it. >> Oh, there you go. >> Wait. Yep. That seems to be it. I'll be right back. Stay in your car. Okay, >> ma'am. We need you to exit. It's not uh it's not you telling us we're not taking your word for it. >> We don't take nobody word for it. We just need you exit in so we know you're good. You just got involved in an accident. It's like crazy. >> I did, but my friend's coming. If I go outside, I'm not going to be like so secure. And then my friend >> Secure Secure Everything is on video and audio recorded. >> I know. >> Yeah. So, can you exit? >> I can. >> Okay. Please do. I'm waiting for you. Ma'am, we know you're good. We heard you, but you need to step out so we can see if you're good. >> I'm fine. >> Okay. Yeah, I know you're fine. Just exit the car then. >> I don't know. >> I don't have to exit the car. >> Yes, you do. >> We're giving you a lawful. >> You were You were involved in an accident. You're going to have to or we're going to assist you. Make you exit. >> Okay. >> So, you better all just exit. That's fine. >> Are you going to exit or No. >> All right. You need to exit. >> I will be fine. >> She say she knows you. She say you know me. She's my friend. >> Okay. So, exit the vehicle. >> No, I'm not leaving the vehicle. Ma'am, if you don't exit the vehicle, you don't exit the vehicle. >> I'm going to help you to exit. >> And you don't want that. >> You don't want that. >> I elected official. >> I actually do. Elected official of what? >> Cook County. >> Cook County. You're elected. What? Which which office? >> What's your name? >> I'm Sam. >> Sam who? >> Hey, S. Okay. If her friend tells her to walk out, you step out. >> Oh, she's saying she's an elected official of Cook County. >> I don't want to be on the video. >> Oh, you are on video. >> You are on video. >> You're on video, man. Video. Yes, ma'am. So, you need to >> I'll wait for my attorney. >> Okay. >> Nope. I'm waiting for my attorney. >> The driver was later identified as Samantha Steel, a sitting Cook County Board of Review Commissioner, the very county that encompasses Chicago. She wasn't just reckless behind the wheel. Her entitled behavior and open defiance ensured that this incident wouldn't be quietly swept under the rug as she would soon see. >> So, she's not exiting. We're going to have to make her exit. And we do >> she is not compliant right now as you can see. >> Does she >> say she's an elected official of something? We don't even know. >> Does she need to be compliant at this moment? >> Of course she does. Well, I mean, can she wait? Can she wait for her attorney? >> No. >> Well, regardless of >> involved in an accident, >> even if the attorney is here, there's nothing he's going to tell her. She was involved in an accident and we're doing our investigation. And now, obviously, she doesn't want to, >> ma'am. Okay, here's the thing. You were involved in an accident, correct? So, you're going to have to exit. If you don't exit, then we're going to make you exit. >> Accident car. Can you give her action? >> I think you should do that second. >> That's all you have to do. >> That's the attorney. That's all you have to exit. >> That's >> okay. You to exit. >> I'm waiting for you. >> Yeah. We got to come out. Get out of the car. >> Be careful. Stay right here. >> Right here. Don't want you to go out. Get involved in the exit. Okay. >> Fine. >> Now you can hang up the phone, man. >> No. >> We're still doing our investigation. >> Attorney. >> Okay. Now tell your attorney since he's on the phone. Are you going to do field sobriety test or no? >> No. >> Okay. >> No. >> Are you being arrested? You say no. I was waiting for that. I was waiting for that. >> We waiting for that. >> Have to arrest her >> because she was refused. I asked her to do so test and she refused. >> And she smelled like alcohol. She's been drinking. We just been Oh, so you've been recorded all this time. >> You've been recording. >> Yeah. >> All right. I'll be there in 5 minutes. They just wait until I get there. >> You're not going to wait. Let's go. You've been transported. She's not doing the field test. She's a She's under arrest right now. >> Give her my purse. Take her purse. >> The purse. Thank you. >> I'm not going. >> Okay. >> 31. >> Can we give him I >> We're not giving you many minutes. >> She's not doing the field. So, we're not going to be uh 20 drinking. She's struck bunch of cars. >> Okay. She's struck bunch of cars. >> We're taking you in. >> Come on, babe. Let's go. >> Have a seat, please. >> Can we just like >> No. No, we're not. We're going to stick with >> That's why That's You got Uber. You got taxi. You could have done all that. >> You haven't seen the car. >> Let's go. Have a seat in the car. >> Have a seat. Have a seat. >> Let me get on your side. >> Have a seat, miss. >> I can't. She's >> All right. You got a small You got a small wrist. No, we have to >> You want to do the feel? >> You want to do the feel? We ask you to do it and you say no. >> I know what you're saying. You guys are so tired. >> Oh, I do feel so >> All right. Come on. >> Give me a chance. >> This way. This way. >> Ma'am, we're not mean. You You imagine somebody crashed. So you wearing lenses. >> You wear glasses. You have them on right now. >> Can you see me without that? Can you see me with them? Okay. You >> I mean I can cannot see like >> All right. So now, how's your head? >> You have any injuries? >> Your head is >> You hit your head when >> they hit the car. >> You want an EMS? You want to call an ambulance? >> Yes. >> You want us to call an ambulance for you? >> Okay, we'll call an ambulance. >> Call I can do the sobriety. You can do it. You sure? Okay. >> No. >> So, put both feet together like this. Yeah. >> Yes. I would like it. >> Put both feet together. >> I would like you. >> Yes. I can put both feet together. >> Hands together like this. >> Like she's letting you know you're under arrest. So now when we go to the hospital, you're still under arrest. >> Afterward, another investigator arrived to speak with Samantha. By then, she was higher than a kite, mumbling a string of incoherent thoughts that no sober mind could piece together, only digging herself deeper into trouble. >> What happened to that? >> What happened? >> Just what happened? >> I don't know. That's >> I was driving. >> Okay. >> Where were you coming from? >> Where were you coming from? Hi friends, are you >> 5020 North? >> It's not just Yeah, >> it's fine. >> Were you come? Were you drinking? >> No. >> No. >> No. >> Are you answer any questions? According to >> Man, if you're going to be interrupted, then you probably have to settle >> cuz you're interfering now. >> So, what what happened just right now here? I know, but where were you coming from prior to that? >> They pulled me out of the car. I don't know. >> Okay. All right. Are you like uh did you take any meds today? >> No. >> No. >> I just want to see if you're like safe to go home. >> You have to submit like a few tests for me. Are you willing to do it? >> It's up to you. I'm not forcing you. It's up to you. >> No. >> It is what it is. I mean, I smell alcohol, so it is what it is. You're going to get under arrest for DUI. >> No. >> What do you mean no? >> No. >> I mean, what do you mean no? >> No. Wait for my attorney. >> What do you mean though? >> Talk to my attorney. >> Yes, we're going to wait here. >> No, she he could come to the station. She's going to get under arrest for >> here. >> He's parking his car. >> Just stand up, ma'am. >> I'm going to put down my report that you refusing field sobriety test. >> Okay. So, bye. I got enough here. >> So, uh >> I got enough. >> Yeah. Once we go to the >> station then then you call >> go to she go to hospital. >> You want to go to the hospital? >> What? What do you mean no? We call an ambulance. We just wasted. >> You said do you want medical attention? >> We just wasted their time. It's not heavy. You're wrestling [Music] anywhere. >> Under arrest. She has very small risk. >> Oh my god. You guys are >> I mean it's illegal to drink and drive. >> We would have open up alcohol in the car, >> you know. >> Can I go with you? >> Oh, here comes the attorney saving the day. She's going to have >> Oh, he coming right now. >> You got to go ahead. >> No, I need to see my attorney. >> Yeah. No, my attorney. >> Sir, she's been uh placed in custody for driving under influence. >> She struck bunch of vehicles right there. >> That's her open bottle of wine in the car. So, >> I didn't listen to him. >> It's been Miranda. Is she not meandizing it or nothing? She refused the field. So now we going to take her. She going to she going to go to an ambulance and then uh they're going to go with her. And we still got to do How many cars did she crash into apartment? >> Two cars. >> Her car is not driveable. >> So we have to tow it from the city. >> All right. >> Over there, please. Thank you, Sam. >> In the end, Miss Steel was charged with one count of DUI. Her license was briefly suspended. Her reputation took a hit and she became entangled in a separate $180,000 wrongful termination settlement, further damaging her public image. Next on the corruption countdown is Natalie James, a school principal whose defiant stance and puzzling behavior turned a routine police response to a school threat into a full-blown standoff. >> You're on official police business. >> So if the they have an emergency here, she has to decide if it's a big enough emergency. You called us. >> If you if you don't want me here and if you want me to beg you to get through that door, don't call me. I don't know what in your life happened that you hate us so much that you don't want to cooperate. >> On March the 17th, 2024, police officers were called to Ridge View Middle School to investigate a threat. But in the middle of the chaos and urgency, school officials chose the worst moment to misuse their authority. That's >> what >> you have to wait. >> I'm here on official. I get that. I just radio from the social security. You have to wait for him to come here. Okay. Okay. Thank you. What? >> I'm just saying it's going by your rules. I've been instructed this radio get you. >> Has your union teachers union and the lawyers with you? >> Huh? >> Have they spoke with you? No. >> We're here on official police business. >> I get that. But safety security is on their way to come and get you. >> Hey, we have authority over safety and security. >> Do you understand that Columbus? >> I have authority over my principal. you you not welcome my principal to me. So she tells me got for you guys to wait. You're you're not the first one to go through this and I'm not trying to be combative, but he told me to let you know. Let him know when he got here. He's going to let you know. And I waited on him. He's coming to get you. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> I'm just telling you how what I go through. >> Okay. >> Did Did the union and the the lawyer speak with Did they have a speak with you? >> Um No, >> they have not. >> And no. And I'm not in the chief's unit, so I'm not going to speak. >> Okay. Well, when we're here on official police business, >> we are over safety and security. >> Talk to the legal about that second. I will email them and ask. >> I will call. That's This is ridiculous. We are here in official capacity. >> But you have to tell me what So what I know that I've been told by my >> So if if if a teacher's being beat up, I have to ask you to let through me through the door. Please. >> Is that what you're saying? >> No. I need Mr. How in my office ASAP, please. >> So, if a teacher's getting beat up, I have to go through you to get to that teacher. >> That's what you're saying. >> So, yeah, this is what I was told. >> So, if they have an emergency here, She has to decide if it's a big enough emergency. >> Let them know what they need to do. Are you taking them out that way? Are you taking them out? What's going on? >> I might uh I'll put them in the conference room. >> Thank you. Please. >> Um I >> was trying to explain to her that the Columbus police are She said we have to wait for safety and security. >> Columbus police are over safety and security. If there's an emergency here, I don't need to explain to her. I need to get in here and get in here now. >> The officers kept stressing the urgency and the need to handle the threat. They're about to find out that the school secretary was the least of their problems. >> I just heard a lot of I didn't know. I said, "Can you step back over here?" Cuz I just heard a lot of >> chaos and I was in a meeting. So I know Mr. How come on back over here, please? >> The door, please. >> So what I'm going to do is get back a hold with the teachers union. I'm going to get a hold of Leo because >> the teachers union have to do with this >> because it seems like they're some of the only people that have pulled. >> If we have an emergency at the school >> I should not have I should not have to explain to this woman why I'm here. I don't come here for my for party time. I come here on official police business. This is a game we've been playing for years. This is a game we no longer want to play with. You should be welcoming us. You should You called us. >> If you If you don't want me here and if you want me to beg you to get through that door, don't call me. >> Okay. Well, I'm not really sure all that happened, but >> it's all on recording. >> Well, I Okay, but I just came over here cuz I heard some noise going on. I heard my secretary having to argue or whatever was going on. What I do know is, and I want to make sure this is on camera, too. We felt a lot of disrespect by some of the members of the Columbus Police Department, including yourself, sir. What just transpired here, I do not know, but we definitely did call you today. >> Oh, at one point in time, either one of your colleagues and just even your demeanor right now, your demeanor is off. So, we did call into playing games. >> I'm not into playing games either, sir. So, I'm not either, but we are going to follow the district protocols and so forth and so on. Today, you were called because a scholar made this threat, but she said he was just playing. So, Mr. How contacted you and so now you are here. Miss Nash was doing her job. I don't know if she knew you were coming or not. I don't know what transpired. >> I did. >> She knew we're coming here for a reason. I should not have to sir. >> Can I bring this? Don't argue. >> So Mr. How asked me, he said, "And CPD, he is here. Let me know." And as soon as I saw him on the camera, I called for him and said, "Your guest have arrived." If nobody, if there was a situation would have been warranted that it was immediate or whatever, I would have been I would like the first point, but that wasn't the case. The case was when they get here, let me know. And that's what I did. but then I get combative because oh I need to go through blah blah blah that a type of situation. Well then the other caveat too that we've been told from our district is that you that the police don't just can't just go all over the building and do whatever you want to do. That has been established too. Now if it was an active shoot that's something totally different but that's not what's going on right now. But there are rules and protocols and so forth. So if a teacher is beinged so there was a breakdown on that too which Mr. How and I discussed as well but the had already taken place but nonetheless the teachers called so they were the ones who made the phone call and then they had already given information over the phone as to the scholar. Now it gets back to me that allegedly I stopped information or whatever. That's not true sir. You and I only talked once when I came out my office door. I did not You asked me was he going to be suspended. I said I cannot share that information with you and walked away. That was the only conversation you and I had on that day. >> Been off in the last two years. I know you have refused to provide >> because we follow the district protocol. >> But that's not your student's information. >> It depends on what the situation is. >> Are you to on what the situation is. >> Not for me. The teachers are to give that. They were the ones who called. >> You are the principal. >> No, that's not how it works. They were the ones who called. You had the conversation with them. So, they were to give you. They were the ones pressing the charges or the charges or whatever the case might be. That was not Natalie James or View Middle School. They had that conversation with you. So, that was over there. You and I only talked briefly when I stepped out of my office. At this point, the officers realized that Principal Natalie James was either deliberately being difficult or completely unaware of the gravity of the situation. So, they decided it was time to change tactics. >> You have constantly said and refused information. Are you are you denying that? >> I'm I follow district protocol. And the only reason and to be honest, I do not feel comfortable even interacting with you right now. The only reason why I came out because there was something going on in the office and I stepped over here because there was some there's some arguing going on over here with my secretary. We have to say for a reason. I personally do not feel comfortable even speaking with you to be quite honest because of the way that cuz I believe that you do not even have my safety in mind. So I'm just I'm just being very clear. >> Okay. And as an administrator, can I give you my feeling? >> You, for some reason, you don't like the police and you want to make make things so difficult for us that we don't want to come to your school. >> And listen, I listened to you. Did I not? >> You did. >> You are. And I don't know what in your life happened that you hate us so much that you don't want to cooperate, but the teacher union and I've talked with them. But >> I'm going to pause you because I'mma pause you because it's not it's not going to be a back and forth. I don't have any hate towards the police or anything like that. There are some who come over to Ridge View who are just fine, but all of this and escalatedness and so forth and so on, I do not feel safe. I don't feel comfortable. But because Dr. Billy's principal and I heard what was going on and I came on don't feel safe right now. >> I do not. >> Okay. Why don't you go back to your office? >> So, Mr. How >> did you provide him with the information? >> I'm going to walk out. >> Oh, okay. >> Cuz I can only give you >> Yeah, just give me the top half and that's fine. I need name, date of birth, and his contact information. >> Let me give you like I said, >> and that's what we had not been provided in the past. So, that's actually a benefit for us today >> because we were the ones who called the school. We called from our end. You have been support. So now what the situation is >> there has been some changes and you've been forced to give us some information that we >> followed the rules. >> You never have. This is a first for you. I follow the rules. I'm impressed. >> May I have your badge? >> It's officer Connor badge. >> I do not have to provide you with a card. It's officer Connor badge 1300. >> And we can play this for whoever you want. I'm sorry. >> C N E R badge 1300. and we can play this tape for for the union and who else ever wants to see it at school. So, I appreciate your time. >> Well, you're really supposed to uh write it down, but whatever. >> Do you want to write that down for us, ma'am? >> As the principal protocol, >> you're the Okay, you're the highest piece person. Why don't you give it to her and write it down for >> I will walk out with you and give it to you. >> Are we doing anything with the student? No, students already been. So we I checked this look back and check we have >> I'll be back. >> Sorry, this is the first time I've been here. >> Figure out what's going on. >> Give me one second. >> You see what I mean? >> Something in her life has happened and I don't >> 634 on the service. She is absolutely the most uncooperative person that I've ever dealt with in our school system that wants the police. But if there's a situation here, we don't need to be to get through that door. This is ridiculous. >> In the end, the threat was non-existent, but the fallout was all too real. So far, no charges have been brought against the principal, but the media spotlight has placed her under close scrutiny. Next, a New Jersey councilman took things up a notch, turning a routine traffic stop into a near brawl with police. >> We got a lot to do with it, right? Let's go home. You know me. >> Yeah. Look, I'm running around here with smoking, son. I'm the one that hired you. >> I'm talking to the chief right now. This guy is crazy. >> What's going on? >> You know who I am, right? I mean, I regret. >> Why you treat me like I'm some mother? On the 4th day of January 2025, an officer flagged down a vehicle for allegedly running a stop sign in a quiet neighborhood. However, this was no everyday traffic stop as things quickly went out of control. >> You can't be serious. >> Oh, man. What's going on? Why you acting this way? >> You can't be serious. And what did you pull me from? >> Why you acting that Why you acting like that? >> I want to know what exactly are you getting behind me? >> Stop sign. >> I can't stop. >> You didn't stop at all. You rolled through that jar. >> Are Are you serious, C? >> I am serious. >> Do whatever you got to do. What do you need? >> I got you. Just let me see your license, man. >> God. Jesus Christ. What are you? >> What I got to do? >> We got a lot to do with it, bro. I'm looking for a home. You know me. Yeah. I'm running around here to smoking son. I'm the one that hired you. I'm bringing you on. >> Are you Are you crazy? Yes. Absolutely. On your camera. I put you on. >> Come on, man. You got the registration insurance on your man? >> Jesus Christ. Oh, you made my whole mother. >> Why you acting like this, man? >> Trying to go home, bro. >> I'm just I live right there, bro. Like, like you you actually pulling over an elected official, >> bro. You're not You're not pulling over a random. >> You're not You're pulling over your boss. I am literally your like >> crazy. I can't I can't believe I can't believe it either. One thing for certain, don't put in for no. >> Where's my man? >> Oh my god. >> Let me look. >> Oh my. >> Come on, man. Let's cut that out. >> We got out here doing all kinds of you. You're right. And and you and you and you pull me off for an alleg for an alleged not stop at a stop sign. >> For an for an alleged >> I'm sitting right at I'm sitting at >> for an alleged Maris. It's an alleged, bro. It's an alleged. >> How is it an alleg? >> Because I stop. You seen my tail lights? >> You didn't stop. >> You got to go to a complete stop. Also, you rolled through it. You didn't stop. >> Oh my god. I got 150 pieces of paper. >> You good? Sit tight for me. >> The man turned out to be New Jersey Councilman Theodore Holloway. His rant rire of arrogance, but while he was busy flexing authority, the officer was quietly setting a trap. And with Holay's attitude, he was going to walk right into it. you. Hey, I got uh Holloway uh roll right through the stop sign. Is that you coming up? Yeah, he's freaking out. I don't know what's going on with him. [Music] It's funny. Literally, he rolls through it. I turn my lights on right here. He's freaking out. Why are you pulling me? He starts yelling at the out the window. Pull him over right here. I said, "Come on, pull over." He gets out. Obviously, he's not he's not happy. He's upset. I'm a less official. I hired you. Key's gonna hear about this. He's a legend of fans. I didn't roll stuff like that. His registration expired for July of last year. July. >> So I was going to lease issue for that and come up break on the stop sign. Yeah. What's going on with you, man? I'm talking to the chief right now. This guy is crazy. >> What's going on? >> You know who I am, right? >> What's that? >> You do. You do not know who I am either. >> I know you are, sir. >> Oh, all right. There you are. Exactly. Anyway, uh Jesus, uh please talk with them. Tell them when you get behind elected officials. My bad. Hey, you should stop at the stop sign. See you go about your business. Not here. I need your license registration. Why do you treat me like I'm some >> mother knowing how they would handle a normal thing because if somebody is then treat >> Yeah. Thank you, man. I appreciate that. >> All right. If anything happens, let it out. >> Yeah. I I'll see. All right. Great. Come on, man. Stop talking. Now you come to these. I just did one of these. I'm like, bro, my house right there, bro. Like, I'm not going down. Like, if I was like this on the cell phone, smoking weed out the car. Absolutely. Pull me over. Absolutely. Pull me over. Take me out the car and get me. But bro, stop. If anything, you say count, just stop at the stop signs. See you. Know about your business. Now you're wasting your time. You wasting the taxpaying money that I pay you guys do for what? What you Gary G. No. >> After all his ranting, the officer stayed professional and did exactly what was expected of them. >> All right. Listen, man. You don't receive just one citation. All right. I cut you a break on a stop sign or your registration's expired since July of last year. All right. I can't there's nothing I can do with that. All right. So, there's just one citation. It's not court mandatory. But you'd like to show up in court and plead not guilty. I circle the court number on the top right for you. bottom of my information. They'll give you court date to show up in court, otherwise drive safe. >> Councilman Holway has yet to comment on the incident. Meanwhile, the mayor condemned the councilman's remarks as both inaccurate and unprofessional. He emphasized, "No one receives special treatment. We don't act as individual bosses over departments, nor do we get preferential treatment." The mayor also rewarded the officer involved for demonstrating complete professionalism. While Holay set the bar very low, the next corrupt official managed to crawl right under it. caught red-handed stealing luggage at an airport, apparently forgetting about surveillance cameras and kissing his pension and coochie salary goodbye. >> There's no audio on this, but you could tell he asked them, you know, if this is anybody's stuff. They say no. He claims the box. >> And there's the box open. Tell me about uh your trip to the airport today around 1:00 p.m. >> Um, is it regarding the box? I would have brought it back to like in the middle of the night. On the 27th of December 2024, the Santa Fe Police Department received a call about a stolen piece of luggage at the airport. But as officers began digging into the case, they were surprised to discover the suspect was the city's water utilities director. The investigation picked up steam as officers interviewed airport security and the victims, leaving no stone unturned. >> So, let's start off. How were you guys flying out or flying in? >> So, >> what brings you here to the airport today? Yeah. So, we had flown out to Witchah, Kansas on Sunday and so we were there this week. Um, we flew from Witchah to Denver and then in Denver they asked for volunteers for, you know, like >> they over booked the flight. >> They're like, "Anyone want some travel money if you volunteer to stay for the next one?" Which was like 4 hours later. >> Okay. >> Um >> to here. >> So, we stayed but it was last second. So, our box was shipped ahead of us like on the plane we were going to be on. >> Okay. >> So, your your bags went on the flight you were originally supposed to stay on. >> Right. Right. >> It was just one. Yeah. We had everything else with us like on our >> We had carryons that are now in our car, but it was just the one box that we checked. >> Only checked one box. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. And so, we were just coming home and going to drive back home. >> Okay. What was inside? How big of the box? >> It's like uh probably about Yay. I'd say 18 in tall, 18 in wide, probably 30 long. Um, >> it was a m old microwave box. There wasn't a microwave inside of it, but just packed up like [ __ ] from Christmas. >> What was inside of it? >> So, >> I've got a whole list. I think >> Okay, you got the list, >> a bunch of stuff. >> It was basically all like Christmas gifts, family stuff. Um, so Lord of the Rings Lego set, a thousand piece. I don't know how much detail you want. >> Uh, what whatever you want to provide. >> Yeah, it's like >> so two large Lego sets. Um, a custom leather pouch. >> Let's start with the Lord of the Rings Lego set. What do you think that is uh >> valued? >> Valued at >> that one's like 120 130 or so. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Next set. Um, another Lego set was valued at I think it said 60 60 or 65 on the LEGO website. Um, >> what kind of Lego set was that? >> It was a floral bouquet. >> Oh, okay. >> Lego stuff. So, >> this is going to be so random. >> It is random. >> Hey, it's Christmas. Yeah. >> Um, a custom leather pouch like >> they estimate about 100 bucks. I don't >> I don't know. It's from Etsy, so we can't really like look up where my family member got it from, but it has like Verberg. >> Yeah, it has my name on it. >> Okay. >> Um, a like custom printed like large three canvas photography prints. >> Okay. >> I would estimate. Yeah. >> Several hundred. >> At least 300 minimum >> with editing, printing, mounting. Yeah. >> Yeah. I don't know. 3 to 500. Um, I had a pair of jeans and leggings. 50 bucks. I think you had a pair of pants. >> Two flannels pair of pants. I don't remember. There's just >> uh I mean >> t-shirts. Nothing crazy, but >> an antique like large pulley that we got at an antique shop in Kansas. >> Say that name again. >> Like a like a barn pulley. Like a >> like a pulley. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Like an antique one. hook and wheels and block and tackle. >> Yeah, random [ __ ] >> After gathering details from the couple, the officer then approached airport security and that was when things finally started to take a clearer, more constructive shape. >> So, this is him right there. He >> already has his bags. >> He's got a couple bags. He's got two check bags. Like I said, one of them was some kind of firearm and uh and another a bigger roller. So what happens is he's sitting there the American Airlines cuz they just can't send his gun through there. >> So he bring he walks it in here and hands him that case and uh and his other roller bag >> and those are the only two bags he checked. >> Yes. >> So at that point he's >> he has all his stuff right now. >> He has all his stuff. >> He's on the phone. Maybe he's just hanging out while he's on the phone. I don't I mean who knows? Um, >> where does it show American aliens? Give him his bag. >> Oh, did you want to see that? Okay. Okay. So, he comes in the back door. The two items. >> Okay. Like a rifle case and a black roller. >> And you know it's a rifle case cuz of the color of the tag that's on it. >> Hands it to them. And that's at 10446. Yep. >> So, every everybody leaves pretty much. >> Mhm. They're still they remain after he leaves. So what happens is the United Grounds guy will come in here and you there's no audio on this but you could tell he asks you know if this is anybody's stuff. They say no. He claims the box and so the United guy takes this bag and brings it inside. He ends up getting up, picking up the box. [Music] You kind of see he's kind of scoping around right now. I think he's already got the idea in his head. So, his truck is is actually parked close by. So, the fact that he's kind of lingering. So, he's going to take those two to his truck and come back for those. Why he switched those out, I don't know. >> After identifying the face of the person who took off with the missing items, the officers wasted no time launching a search. The suspect was a familiar face, but that didn't shake their resolve one bit. His name's John Dre. And there's the box open. >> Oh, lovely. >> Nice. All right. Set me away, please. >> Yes. >> How's it going, John? >> Yes. >> Can we talk to you for a second? >> Yes. >> I'm just in a robe. >> Yes. Okay. Do me a favor, sir. Place your hands behind your back for me. >> Stop. What's happening? >> You're being detained. Okay. >> You're being detained. Just relax. I'm like naked. >> Hello. Now put some clothes on. We're going to have to have a conversation. >> Okay. >> All right, John. You're being detained. >> Why don't we step you inside so your neighbors haven't seen you like this? >> Yes, please. Thank you. >> Should we have a seat right there for you? Don't mind that. >> Yeah. >> There you go. Appreciate. >> Of course. >> There a light here, John? >> Yes. No light. All right, John. So, right now, I'm going to read you Miranda, right? >> Didn't take long for the officers to get him talking. The man, later identified as city director John Dri, seemed confident, convinced his story was airtight, but he had no idea what was coming. >> Having these rights in mind, do you agree to talk to me? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Tell me about uh your trip to the airport today around 1:00 p.m. >> Um is it regarding the box uh from the luggage? >> Yeah. >> So, I took a picture of that. I was trying to uh get it to someone. They it ended up not being the right box. Like I opened it, went through it and they were like, "No, none of this is mine." And I was like, "Cool. I will bring it back to the airport. I have to be there at 5:00 in the morning. I would have brought it back to like in the middle of the night." But um like it's uh a long day. I have to wake up really early. There was just a lot going and so it just made sense to bring it in the morning. >> Okay. Don, let me ask you this. When you when you check in a bag to baggage claim, right? They give you a tag, right? Say here's your tag. We're checking your bag. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. Do you know what that system's for? >> To be able to verify. >> Yeah. Be able to verify your bag, right? And what happens if your bag doesn't show up at the place that you're looking for? >> You get it shipped to you like they normally take care take care of it for you. >> Yeah. They they the airlines find your bag, right? >> Yes, sir. >> If you leave your bag there and you get held up at a different place, they hold on to your bag, right? >> Yes, sir. >> Not a random person doesn't just grab the box and take it to somebody. >> You see what I'm getting at? >> Absolutely. >> There wasn't no nowhere anywhere for you to grab that box and take it and load it in the back of the truck. And then you went so far as to I don't know how how you said it got open, but somebody's belongings are all spread out in the back of that truck. >> You see what I'm saying? >> Yes, sir. >> So, let me ask you this. Uh, >> if it's something if they end up getting damaged because of >> Well, let me ask you this. You got your baggage. You got your bags. Okay. I watched you in TSA. You check a rifle case and a black roller, right? Yes, sir. >> So, only two bags of yours. airlines attendant gives you that those baggage your your stuff at 104. You waited until the very end until everybody was almost out of baggage claim. 24 minutes approximately 24 minutes till nobody else was there. Airlines guy comes in and says these belong these bags belong to anybody. You pointed out that box. Airlines guy grabs the bag. >> I had just text um and was waiting. I was like, I think that's the right one. And then he ended up leaving. I was like, all right, well, I'll get this. Um, and if it's not the right one, I'll bring it back. But I was very certain that it was the right one. >> So, it has somebody's name on it, right? >> Yes. >> Yeah. Did you know that person? >> Uh, no, sir. >> Okay. Then why'd you take the box? >> It met the description from yesterday, so I thought that that was it. And I was l literally just trying to help >> description to who? >> Say again. >> You said it matched a description from yesterday for what? >> Um my buddy Jeff uh works at the wastewater plant. Um I thought I'd be able to give it to him. Uh ultimately I ended up spending the afternoon at the wastewater plant. You can verify. You talk to Hannah. And like I thought he was going to come get it. He didn't. So I opened it tonight. Um, and I was like, "Dude, this is not yours, so I'll just bring it back in the morning." But like I didn't want to like uh keep waiting. Like I was questioning it a little myself. Like I literally took a photo of it, sent it. He's like, "Yeah, that should be it." And I was like, "All right." >> But it didn't have Jeff's name on it. It had a female's name on it. >> It had two people's name on it. I thought it was Jeff and someone. Although confronted with the facts, Jon still wouldn't admit to stealing the luggage. At least not yet. What he didn't realize was that the officers were luring him into a tight corner with more up their sleeve than they were letting on. >> Okay. Um I apologize. I I do. >> Do you see where we're at now? >> Yes, sir. >> I watch a video of you sitting in a room after you've already getting your bags. Take a picture of a box. Point at the box as you tell an airlines attendant saying, "Now, I'll take the box." Right? which is clearly marked, not yours. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. There's a system clearly in place for people with lost baggages, right? >> Yes, sir. I mean, but it is a real pain in the butt. I've had to do it myself and like you have to be there whenever the uh person from American is there that has the key to a specific room and it like I didn't want someone else to have to go through that. So, I was literally just trying to help. I got the wrong one. It was questionable. It was hard to get in touch with Jeff. Ultimately, whenever he texted back, he said, "That's should be it, but it's not." And >> so, did you take it before Jeff told you it was his or after the fact? You took it because it matched the description and then after the fact he's like, "That's not mine." >> Yes, sir. And I was like, "Dude, I opened it and like it it's not your stuff. It's like something totally different." and all the contents in the back of the truck. >> Um, it may have gotten uh it was like a frantic mess whenever it was starting to snow and then it stopped and I was like but like it it's in good condition. Like it's not wet. >> Can I ask you that question again, John? All the contents that were inside the box, are they still in the back of the truck? >> Oh, yeah. Absolutely. Absolutely. >> None of those belongings are inside the house at all? >> No, sir. Absolutely not. >> Okay. You said you sent a text message to who to see if it was their box. >> Jeff. >> Jeff. Okay. So, the text message will be in your phone, right? >> Should be. >> Should be. Okay. So, when she finds your phone, is it okay if we check and >> Sure. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Just we just want to make sure and see if Jeff You sent a text message to Jeff at the same time. Does it make sense? >> Yeah. I don't know where your phone is. And I think it was only the photo. Like I ended up just talking to him later cuz he wasn't responding. >> What's your code, boss? >> I I don't give it out. If you want to put my thumb. >> Sure. Oh, one more time. Didn't take. Hold. Let me help you. >> All right. >> Thank you, sir. >> Oh, there. I think >> it says it doesn't match. Is it the other? >> No. It'll be the right. >> Yeah, it's not matching. >> Um, maybe the screen wasn't turn one more time for me. >> Uh, it take that time. Nope. Does she know your pattern? >> Yes. [Music] >> What? Yeah, we're good. >> All right. Bye. >> I mean, like, I work there. Like, >> I know that we have great camera. Say again. >> Where do I go? >> Uh, contacts. >> Contacts. >> Yes. >> Uh, just search Jeff. >> Sorry, I don't have an Android. There we go. >> Or it may actually be easier to go to the messages. Yeah. You know, back scroll up right there. I'm not seeing a Jeff. >> You see that line right there? >> Yeah, I see the line. >> Okay. So, it would be below that. >> Below this, >> I'm not seeing a Jeff. And we're in December 26th now. >> Okay. Um, what? It was probably my work phone. >> Your work phone? >> It's your work phone? Where? >> Uh, no. Where's your work phone at? >> Um, I went to the office tonight. Um, and I'm uh probably in the truck. >> In the truck. What's your work phone look like? >> Um, same as that one but without a case. >> Can I go get it? I'm trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. Can I get >> I appreciate you. >> Can you give me the truckies, please? >> It should be open. The officers were trying to be thorough, but John hadn't started spinning wild tales just yet. That was coming next. Lies so far-fetched, he sounded more like a drunken teenager than a city official. >> I would not leave your car open. Okay. >> Uh, no. Well, like we literally uh we're just getting ready to go down. Normally lock it whenever. >> Okay. >> And like I had to >> Where would it Where would it be in the truck? Like center console, center cup holder somewhere around there. >> Um, it would be in the center cup holder. >> Okay. Yeah. And it's like literally I sometimes I try and help too much whenever I was like, man, this is not Jeff. I was like, well, either tonight or tomorrow. And then that's when it started snowing. I literally had the thought like should I like go to uh cuz I looked at that uh note on it and it says Los Alamos and I was like maybe I should drive to Los Alamos but I was like that's silly because it's already troubling to uh get the rest and then get to the airport in the morning. So, you're supposed to fly out tomorrow morning. >> Um, it's a 5:45 flight. I have to be there at 5:00 when they open and so like leave here by 4 cuz >> not not show up 9 minutes prior and miss your flight again. >> Exactly. That was uh rough. >> What do you do for the city, John? the utility director for their uh water, waste water and sewer. >> There's no phone in that truck, sir. >> Um then it would probably be on my desk at work. Okay. See what predicament you put us in, John. >> Yes, sir. I And >> we're not we're not able to collaborate your story here. See, right now I have to go on the basis of facts that I know, right? I know that a box was taken from an airport. Hey, clearly marked not yours. you are at no liberty or you should have known better to not take a box or a package or somebody else's belongings >> from an airport, >> right? >> No matter the circumstances. >> See where I'm at? >> Yes, sir. >> And then we get here and the contents inside the box are in disarray throughout the bed of the truck. And we're not able to confirm the your reasonings and statements that you why you took the box. >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, at this time, you're being placed under arrest for lararseny of the package. Okay. >> Are these your shoes, boss? Can you slip these on? >> Yes, sir. >> We'll get you some clothes and let you change at the station. Okay. >> Okay. >> Can I at least like put underwear on and stuff? She's gonna >> and then she whatever stuff. It's been a long day and like literally I'm like trying to bend over backwards to do more at home. Like it's just like a struggle with our relationship and our daughter. She's five and it's like, you know, I've been stepping up doing like cooking dishes, stuff like that. And it's like finally start to come around, but it's a lot of extra effort. And honestly, if I had the extra effort, I would have put it back together tonight. >> The excuses kept rolling in, but the officers had already made up their minds. Still, that didn't stop John from serving up even more outlandish explanations. Each one more unbelievable than the last. >> Um, is it helpful in any way for me to try to go get his phone? >> Like, I don't know. Not really. Um I mean if what you are saying is true just because you're being arrested for this right now obviously you're not being convicted. >> Yes sir. >> So if what you're saying is true that be your defense. Does that make sense? >> Yes sir. >> So but like officer floor was saying we have to go off of the information that we have >> at the time. >> At this time and unfortunately at this time the facts of the situation is there's enough probable cause to say you committed a crime of areny. So we have no no choice. And unfortunately it is a felony amount. No. >> So, we have we have no choice but to place you under arrest. Okay. >> Is there just out of curiosity, uh any chance like uh I don't know what it's called, but like like um >> bail? >> Yes, sir. >> Sir, so San County is a bailis county. So, you have to speak with the judge in the morning. Chances are you don't have any criminal history. The judge will let you out when they speak with you tomorrow. Well, Sunday. Yeah. So, that being said, um, where are all the items from that box? >> Right next to the box. And I can I can put it back >> like I remember how it was organized and I can put it back like it. >> That's what we're going to do. Okay. We're Is that okay with you? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. This pants too small for you. >> No, it's fine. >> Okay. Get in my shirt. [Music] And this is your phone, right? This one? >> Yes, sir. >> I would recommend taking it. That way when you do get released on Sunday, you can call her to come pick you up. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> Uh, it's pretty thick. What's in the back of it? >> Um, my card >> like Yes, sir. >> Okay. How do I turn this off? Just hold down the power button. >> Yes, sir. Uh, we'll press it once and then you have to hit that. >> Okay. So, we're just going to turn it off. when it's cooling >> cuz it's about it's about to and they're not going to let you charge it. So that way >> for like the next 5 10 minutes while I'm packing it up, can she plug it in? >> Sure. >> What kind of charger is it? >> USBC. >> We could just throw it in >> charge it for you. >> And then uh a jacket for him when they release him. >> Yeah. That way he's not standing out to the cold. And by chance, do you know where the gel is at? >> Um, no. >> It's on 14. >> It's on Highway 14 going out towards like that big movie production. >> It's where the wastewater plant is at >> the wastewater plant. Is that street in Spanish? Gotcha. Okay. I will take that. There's no like wallet or anything in those pants, right? >> The ones I'm wearing. >> The ones you're wearing. Yeah. Just want to make sure. Okay, good. >> Um, and Hannah, can you call um the airline and just cancel the flight? I don't know what happens if you don't show like if >> Yeah. What uh airline is it? >> American. >> Okay. >> Um, if I need to call someone to get more just like if I haven't heard anything, where do I >> So, when he gets booked in, he'll get the option of a phone call. I'm assuming he's used to call you. Um, and then after that, you can call the jail and see what's going on. Uh, generally, this isn't like 100% fact, but generally judges have been doing arraignments on Sundays. Uh, worst case scenario, it being like the holiday time and stuff like that. Worst case scenario, Monday. Um, but like I said, generally Sundays, they've been doing arraignments like maybe around between 11 to 1:00. With reality crashing down on him, his career hanging by a thread, his reputation and tatters, all for stealing someone else's holiday package. John's response was not remorseful. It was something far more shocking. >> However, it also depends on like how many not. It's kind of uh up to the judges. So, I can't I can't give you like I said, >> someone review someone review is filed before before Sunday. >> So, before Sunday. Um, but it also depends on how many people were booked into the jail over the weekend, how long it'll take the jail to process to release him. So, just because he's arraigned at like 11 doesn't mean he's getting out at 11. So, how that might take long, but he'll have his phone. He'll be able to call you like, "Okay, I just got out." And then he'll you'll know it's maybe 20 minute drive, 25 take 5.99 all the way out until 14. >> Gotcha. >> Okay. Any other questions? >> Um, do you want me to call your dad? >> Yes, please. >> Okay. Should I call him in the morning? He was flying in my >> dad. >> Um Yeah. And uh Joe Walsh. >> Yeah. >> So, I'll tell you what. >> We're at the station. I'm doing your paperwork. I'll let you make a couple phone calls. Okay. >> Yeah. You're being really nice with us. So, we'll let you have your phone. I'll try to charge it for you on the way to the station. You have your phone, make some phone calls, whatever you got to do. Okay. >> And just out of curious, like if I would have got it there at 5 in the morning, brought the package back, it would have been fine, right? like meaningfully that's like >> that's can't go off what if that's the that's the part you know what I mean like I said I don't just because you are being arrested right now doesn't mean you're being held guilty it's just that the facts of this situation show here here are the facts right you got your belongings >> I understand I agree with you we tried we tried to to let to go through your phone and and cooperate what you were saying unfortunately we weren't able to but the facts and situations know that more likely than not you you stole that that box >> that the time right now >> time right >> based off what we have. Okay. >> What you're telling us is true and it's able to cooperate and your defense train will be able to prove that and they'll work it out through the legal system. That's why we have these checks and balances of the legal system. Right. >> Yes, sir. >> But again, unfortunately, it's a felony amount based on the facts. Our hands are tied. There's probable cause to affect an arrest. We have no choice but to affect an arrest. >> That makes sense. >> Okay. Not saying you're a bad person or anything like that, but hey, that's again that's why we have those checks and balances. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. All right. We're going to get back. >> All right. Here for me. >> Let's go downstairs. We're going to follow this officer right here. Okay. And we'll we'll come back and cut this stuff. All right. So, go ahead and take a seat for me. Okay. >> You're a bigger guy, so it's going to be a tight fit. Okay. >> I'll make a phone call quick. [Music] After securely tucking him away in the back of the police cruiser, the officers got to work checking for more evidence, hoping to recover the full scope of what had been taken and maybe uncover even more than they expected. >> Got room for it. >> Uh yeah, somewhere. Oh, busy. >> Should have a ladder, too. [Music] [Applause] >> Was that inside there? >> I would assume. Oh yeah, cuz there's the wooden pulley they said. Okay, I'm guessing this beanie goes too. >> Oh, yeah. Here's the three canvas prints. >> So, it's all >> Yeah. Yeah. Pretty big. Passenger seat, >> huh? Passenger seat. Yeah, >> maybe in the back. The following day, without delay, officers got in touch with the couple, hoping that what they recovered was everything that had been stolen, or at least close enough. So, we could just one thing at a time. The Lord of the Rings is there. >> Yeah, Lord of the Rings. flannels. Two flannels. >> Coral bouquet there. Lego. >> I didn't even tell you about like the pillowcase. >> It's okay. Pillow case. >> Lego body. There's the leather bag. >> The mug. >> Hold on one second. Leather bag. Mug. Uh gloves. This? >> Yeah. Hot Wheels. >> Hot Wheels. How many Hot Wheels are in there? >> Uh, that looks like all of them. One, two, three, six. >> I don't know why I got Hot Wheels. >> Yeah, this isn't ours. >> No, that's not ours. >> Just put it right there. >> Yeah, the ornament organizer. The dice set. wooden crosses. >> So, I think the only thing that's missing is there was >> I got another box right here. >> And then there's this box. [Music] >> Looks like that was just packing. >> Um Yeah, I'm >> I guess uh my leg. >> Yeah. What's the What's the red thing? >> Uh this is like just like a >> dice bag. Yeah, that's dice missing. >> Those are in the leather. >> Now it's it's not super bad. >> Okay. >> There's that box too close. So here's the pulley. jeans, leggings, pulley. >> Oh, there's the the ocean flash. >> The only thing I don't see is the lighter, but I don't even know if >> he didn't ship that, I don't think, >> cuz that was that was just a drone. >> Yeah, they were going to bring that for the drone. >> That's true. >> So, I think that's everything. >> That's everything I have on mine. >> So, he opened these, right? >> That was me. I opened that and taped it to check. Okay. >> That the instructions were in there. >> Okay. >> So, that was mine. >> It looks like it's >> Yeah, cuz all this was just scattered. >> Yeah. >> And so, I was like, I want to make sure that got all the stuff. >> Did he have a record or anything or was it just >> No. Um, >> opportunistic >> to be honest. that the persons that uh well you'll probably see in the news but he a person that you probably shouldn't have done it and I don't know why he did it. The excuses he gave me last night didn't amount up to nothing. So ultimately that this cost him his job at a at a very high high place and I don't know why >> I don't get like I mean I work at the lab like why the would you be like oh I'm going to steal somebody's box of Christmas goodies. >> Yeah. >> Yeah man. Yeah. >> Let's just say that that that the person um that I had probably caused enough to arrest more than likely made more than all three of us together a year. Huh. >> Wow. >> That's nuts. >> Yeah. >> All right. Whatever. >> Is there going to be like a court case? I believe do anything or write anything. >> The only thing you guys have to do is the district attorney's office will contact you, the victim's advocate, >> and they you won't you can work with them over the phone and that's about it. And more than likely, I have enough concrete evidence that it won't go to trial. If it does, >> it'd be it'd be ridiculous. But um just keep an eye out for a phone call from it'll say district court or you'll get it something in the mail. >> Okay. >> In the end, John Dri was charged with lasseny and with his trial still pending, his employment with the city of Santa Fe was officially terminated. Taking it up a notch, we head to Oregon where state representative James Heb learned the hard way that even lawmakers aren't above the laws that they write. >> Do you have ID on you by chance, fan? >> Yeah, I see that. >> No. >> Listen, I know you're a political candidate. Let's not pe have people see this. >> You already have me in handcuffs. Yeah, but you're trying to get out of them. >> You're about 2 seconds from going to the ground. Chill out. >> There we go. >> On August the 17th, 2023, officers received a call reporting Oregon State Representative James Heh behaving in a disorderly manner. The officers approached James He, but were shocked to find him not only heavily intoxicated, but extremely entitled as well. several calls from employees telling us that you refused to put out a cigarette and refused to leave. >> That's not cool. >> Oh, I didn't I didn't get told to leave. I uh >> Well, I think you did. Do you have ID on you by chance, man? >> Yeah. Can I see that? >> No. >> Okay. I'm not >> No, I can't show you my ID. >> You can't show me >> security. I I could, but I'm I'm >> I will leave. I will leave. >> So, here's the point. That opportunity has passed. You're going to be excluded from the fairgrounds. At which point I am now telling you I need to see your ID. >> Oh, I will. I I'm >> No, I'm not asking. I'm not asking. I'm telling you. Listen. Hey, >> listen. James, James, listen. Catch your breath. >> Listen to me. Right here. James, stop. >> Let me talk. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Listen, man. >> James, listen. >> James, >> why? I came over here. >> Okay. But >> James, you need to listen to me for like 30 seconds, man. What's going to happen here is you're going to have to leave, but you're not free to leave now. You're being detained and I need to see your ID. I'm not asking you. I'm telling you. Is that clear? I want to treat you with respect. I'm just asking it for in return. So, I need to see your ID. Are you refusing to comply? >> I am Am I Am I free to leave? >> No. You're being detained. Focus on me. >> James, stop. Don't reach. >> It's okay. Can I get your ID? Oh, well, yeah, I can give you my ID. >> Okay, that's all I was asking for, man. >> I just uh >> Listen, I know you're a political candidate. Let's not pe have people see this. I'm telling you, listen. I'm not asking. I'm telling you, I need your ID. So, I suggest you start doing as we're telling you to so we can resolve this and get you on your way. I need to see your ID right now. >> I'm in my pocket. >> Okay, here's what's going to happen. >> Pocket. You're not under arrest. I'm going to patch you down for weapons. Go and put your hands on your back. >> I have firearm. >> Okay. Okay. Where's the firearm at, man? >> On my right. >> Okay. >> Let me get rid of this right now just so it's not a problem. Okay. >> Well, we're going to set it so it's not in play. >> Oh, yeah. >> We're just going to do this, man. Just because we don't know what's going on. Okay. >> Mhm. [Music] >> Yeah. So, it sounds like the fairs asked you several times. Me and my partner asked you several times. >> Well, no. >> Instructions. Don't No, >> I told you I would I'm ready to leave. Um I did not. >> Relax. Box. >> Okay, let's do this. Man, >> it was impossible to miss the fact that James was drunk out of his mind. His sentences slurred and his words barely coherent. When officers proceeded to search him, they found incriminating evidence which only made his character shadier. >> Separate your >> Yeah. Do you have your permission? Just have to tell us about your second. >> No, you can't. >> Reach in my pocket. >> Okay. You can Yeah. Okay. >> Okay. >> Are they closed? >> You think he's going to sharp, poke me, stick me, hurt me? >> Oh, I But it's should be closed. >> Okay. I appreciate that, man. I carry knives, too. [Music] Yeah. >> So, at this point, do you understand what's happening, man? >> Yeah. You You're uh detaining me for smoking cigarettes. So that's a that's a a county policy for the fair is smoking cigarettes. But listen, >> I wasn't smoke. >> Is it is it my turn to talk or your turn to talk? If you want to talk, I'll listen. >> Oh, no. Uh you know, we're not here taking turns with you with my hands behind my back. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Seems like seems like your zipper's broken on this, so I can't get in there. >> Well, yeah. Okay. Let's just pocket devil. We really were just coming over in peace, man. >> No, I I get it. I get it. Uh, yeah, it's very very interesting. Very, very interesting. Mr. Standard, >> are you here with anyone? Do you have family, friends, anyone from your party that >> Yeah, lady named Judy Smith. Judy Smith. Okay. >> And uh yeah, it's uh pretty interesting, isn't it? >> It's uh >> feels like you just got a piece of paper in this back pocket, man. So, I'm not going to break your zipper. >> I know you're grabbing my ass too much as it is, but I can >> So, let me let me ask you what your long-term plan was. Well, my long term. >> Well, so when you left tonight, was someone going to drive you home? Cuz you're not You weren't able to drive. >> I live walks over the road. >> Okay. I'm walking home and some lady >> Did you get that pocket open? >> Yes, sir. >> Oh, nicely done, man. >> Yeah. So, that some lady just walked up and was like, "You and your cigarettes." But long story short, >> when the sheriff's deputies handed James paperwork excluding him from the property, he didn't take it well because he believed that a man of his status should not be made to undergo such a process. His behavior only escalated. >> I used to uh slay bodies and uh >> so this right here, can I explain to you just read it yourself? >> So this means that you need to let me go and I can leave, right? >> Yeah. Yeah. And so yeah, I'm going to leave, >> James. >> Let me go, >> James. >> No, that's what that's >> You're not making more good choices, man. >> Oh, no. I don't I don't want to make good choices. I >> So, James, >> I want to leave. And so, you're saying that I can leave. >> Can I make this? >> I can leave this property. >> James, can I make this really simple for you, man? >> I just want to leave. I want to go home. >> Okay. Can I tell you the best way to make that happen? I'm I'm going to give you the answers to the test. >> I just want to go home. James, >> I've now been obviously trespassed from the property for um it doesn't have an individual's name upon it, does it? >> So, James, I would be happy to explain this to you so I can get you home. >> Oh, I I >> But you're like three strikes away from not going home. >> Oh, I >> for and you're going to go to jail instead. So, would you would you like to go home tonight? >> I No. >> You don't want to go home? >> No. No. No. I I I would I love this kind of like you guys. I would not I do not believe that I should be here in cuffs right now. And so I will use this 100% to it's it's absurd. Okay. >> I was not doing anything wrong. I was over here theing sitting on that bench right there. Like I I can't >> I get you, man. >> You get it right. >> So, James, I'm going to give you one more chance, buddy. >> No, I'm >> So, here's your decision. >> I do want to leave, Sanders. >> Okay. So, I'm going to tell you how this is going to go down. I'm going to explain this form to you in detail. >> All right. >> And we're going to find a way to get you home safely. But listen, if you give us any more troubles or you start disrupting serving me this exclusion, we're going to take you to jail. Is that clear? >> Okay. >> Okay. Perfect. This is a notice of exclusion. You are excluded from the Clark County Fairgrounds. Here's the address. This is your information right here. >> Yeah. >> Right. This is when you've been served with this thing. Right. Because you're handcuffed, we're not going to have you sign it. The reason for your exclusion. And here's how you can appeal the exclusion if you want that to be lifted. It's a really down and dirty way, but does that make sense to you? >> Yeah. Yeah. >> What's most important? >> But here's what's most important for you because this is a crime moving forward. You that careful. >> You can't you can't come back to the fairgrounds until this is taken care of and this is how you do that. >> That make sense? >> Yeah. Okay. Well, no. I I get that. But it's uh it's so absurd. Uh >> and that's your right. This is who you tell it's absurd to. Who can I get I >> Who can help you get home safely tonight? >> I'm going to walk home. >> That's not an option. >> All right. Well, then the rest Sanders. >> All right. Stop. >> Yeah. No. James behavior spiraled further as he started hurling curses at the officers. The deputies did their best to stay professional, but James made it increasingly difficult. As push came to shove, officers decided they were done playing nice. >> It can be or >> No, this is Stop. >> You already have me in handcuffs. Yeah, but you're trying to get out of them. >> No, I'm not trying to get out of handcuffs. Just chill. Don't chill. You dude, you're making a scene. >> Why? >> Listen, this is not a good look, man. Just chill. You're fine. Why the >> You're grabbing >> Because you're trying to pull away from me. >> So I need you to relax. >> You're [ __ ] grabbing my arm. >> Stop. >> Yeah, this is Chill out. >> Why are you bitching on my arm? >> God damn it. >> You're about 2 seconds from going to the ground. Chill out. >> There we go. >> Go ahead. >> Hurt me. Go for it. What are you going to do? Why are you acting like Why the are you wrenching on my arms? >> Cuz you're not acting like an adult right now. >> Why are you wrenching on my arms? I never tried to do anything. I just wanted to leave >> and we >> I wanted to leave. Why? >> All right. I just want to walk home and leave. >> For your safety, we can't let you walk. And that's why you drive. >> Yeah. That's [ __ ] >> But now, due to your behavior, you're going to go to Clockwork. >> Okay. Yeah. Okay. >> Okay. Are you in your patrol car? >> Yeah. >> No, go. >> Do you mind doing that? I'll take it. >> Um, >> how do we want to do this? >> Um, walk walk. >> Yeah. >> All right. So, here's the deal. Once again, you're a big boy. We're going to walk you to a patrol car. We need you to cooperate. If you do anything stupid, we're just going to put you down on the ground. >> Stop. That's really going to hurt you. What am I going to do? Sit down. >> You just reefed on my elbow by doing that. >> Yeah. Yeah. What? What are you going to do? >> Use your feet. >> Yeah. Walk. >> I know. I was willing to walk with verbal instructs until you guys. You want to go right or left? >> I know my car. >> Let's just go right. >> Upon reaching the car, James made a last desperate attempt to escape and pretended to fall. Like handling a toddler, officer sternly escorted him to the vehicle. He was like getting away from this regardless of who he was. We're going to get you sitting down some AC here in just a second. >> Uh just face the back of the car right here. It says down 911. >> Yeah. And like to let go of your elbow and just >> Perfect. Separate. Stop. >> James, listen, man. This is what it is. You're still in control of how this looks. So, I'll be recorded. >> I know. >> Stand up straight and just handle this like a man. >> Yeah. >> Stop. >> Didn't you say uh >> stand right here, but I can't have you barking your head. >> Oh, no. I thought you said All right. I'm thought you wanted me to lean on the car. >> Okay. >> So, um >> I I apologize. I was not as clear as you wanted to be. >> Yes, sir. I uh I get it. I get it. I uh [Music] >> I uh [Music] real quick >> just put him in my box. >> Yeah. >> All right, dude. I'm going to practice one more time. >> I didn't hear you. >> All right. >> I wasn't talking to you. >> Whoa. I didn't hear you though. Whether you were talking to me or not. >> It's okay. >> Yes. >> Yep. All right. When you get in the car, another camera's going to turn on and it's going to record everything that's going on back of the car. Okay. >> Good to go. >> Go ahead and uh sit your butt right there. I'll get the AC turned on so that way you're not burning out. >> Go and have a seat, James. Watch your head as you're getting in, man. Good. Watch your caba. >> Would you like to be seat belted or not? By law, you don't need to be, but if you would like to be, I'd be happy to do that. >> No. I think it's >> all right. We're going to get the AC going for you, man. Good to go. In the end, James He was not charged due to the lack of evidence. From one drunk politician to another, this time it's Felicia Franklin, vice chair of the Clayton County Board, who decided to throw a full-blown tantrum after not getting the VIP treatment she thought that she deserved. >> I don't know. >> What What have you been drinking tonight? Any >> Oh, no. He's gone. [Applause] >> Listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. Bobby back. >> No, ma'am. I can't. I don't have >> Please bring her back. Please. Please. >> On September the 29th in Clayton County, Georgia, police found a woman lying on the ground outside a local sports bar. However, the woman identified as Felicia Franklin, the vice chair of the Clayton County Board of Commissioner, was not one to take accountability. At least not after having too much to drink. Ma'am, [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Hi, how are you? [Music] You all right, bro? Who served her? >> We got We got an ambulance coming. [Music] ID. >> I don't >> Yeah, just let just let EMS check her out for for CIA. >> I think I could just give her out of here. >> Take Y'all can take her. >> Yo, we'll take her. We We want to make sure she doesn't have like some kind of head trauma or something. >> Go ahead. >> We'll take a look. Show me city jail for a protection. >> She was laying down on the bench. >> I guess she rolled off. >> We want to make sure she didn't hit her head. >> That's fine. >> So EMS responded. >> Yeah. EMS will come and check her out right quick. Make sure she at least, you know, no indication. >> I didn't see her have no I didn't see her have really much when she got out here. I saw a stagger. >> Yeah, she was staggered out here. If I asked her, I didn't know who she was. I asked her, I said, "Hey, are you driving?" She said, "No, she had a ride." So, okay. >> Yeah. She said she had a ride. >> Okay. No, I I prefer just get her home. We get her home safe. As long as she's long as she's not any trauma, trauma is out of my hands. >> Yeah. >> But after that, I just >> Yeah. No. Yeah. Y'all y'all are good. I mean, >> no, it's You understand what I'm saying? >> Yeah, I get what you're saying, but I mean, y' y'all can take her home. We just want to make Because she fell off the bench. We want to make sure she didn't have something wrong with she in her head or something like that. Let's see if I can get her. >> Shortly after EMS arrived and the police quickly briefed them on the situation. EMS then tried engaging with Felicia, but she was too drunk to respond. >> What's your name, sir? My name's >> I already told you. >> I already let him know that you take her. >> Yeah, we got to we got to we just want to check her out and see make sure she's good. >> Ask somebody questions. I need to take you to the hospital. >> Be careful. She'll beat Oliver's help. Okay. So much >> you okay? [Applause] >> How are you going to get that boy? Figure it out and get that. That's my go my little bed. >> Would you get right hand? >> You want to take it >> now? I'm going put in the back of my truck and take a look at it. >> Is this your bag sitting here? What color is your purse? Who are you here with? Hand by yourself. You sure as hell ain't going to drive home. Not like this. So, we need to get you somewhere besides right here. Gotcha. >> That's the water there. >> No, no water. No water. Until I figure out what's going on with it. Is this her purse and belongings here? Yes, sir. Okay. >> And she's here by herself. Yes, sir. I got something. >> Huh? >> So, they gave me something to drink. >> Something in your drink or drink that you >> susceptible to like I can't drink tequila. >> Can you drink? And I got one additional money. >> She was she way right now. >> Is she refusing the emission with somebody? >> I have not I've not evaluated her. >> Okay. Suddenly, it became apparent Felicia was only playing a victim to hide the fact that she had drunk more than she could handle. [Applause] As the EMT strapped Franklin to the gurnie, she continued hurling violent insults. Despite efforts to calm her, she remained unruly and descended into hysteria. >> Call Katie, get him off my face. >> So, the choice is, do you want to go to the hospital? You want to go to jail? >> You get him off my face. She did not handle this properly. >> Go to the hospital. Be quiet. Once Felicia was treated and became sober, she was taken down to the station where she gave her account of events in a police interview. >> Hearing what's going on? I know a little bit about it, but not a lot. >> Well, basically, I have been um dealing with bronchitis for like 2 weeks. >> Okay. >> I've been in um started to feel better. I had to make a run. So, I was testing beautifully. And so, I thought I missed music for a minute. I've been singing professionally all my life. >> Okay. And so I normally don't go anywhere by myself per se, but if I go to a place and I see music and I see somebody I know, then I will feel comfortable. >> Okay. >> And that's what I did. In fact, I was um went to the Kempton first to see if they had something that was not in there. And then I um >> Where's that at? >> That was just right off of um >> say the porch. Um >> porch. And I didn't have anything there. Nothing at all. I went in, they had a private event, so I just had to validate bring my car back around. The longest time I was there was a wait on my car. >> Okay. >> So then I was like, "Well, wow. I've been in the whole time. I really would have loved to hear some music and heard in a minute." So then I remembered there was a place by South Lake and as I drove by, I could hear the music. So then I thought, I'll go in and see if I know anybody. Knew one of the drummers that was playing and I stayed up front the whole time, >> right? >> And was fine the whole time. In fact, I showed him my countenance. But at some point they >> What was the name of the drummer you now? >> Uh it was like Landy, but they didn't that it was it was a band that I knew. >> Okay. >> It was at the vocalist. She took care of me. She stayed after and helped. >> They called another friend that knew me from the music industry. >> Okay. >> The biggest thing is that um after being there and hearing the set, >> once they packed up is when I noticed something was going on. Wasn't quite sure. Then after sitting there for a minute, I thought, you know what? I need to go ahead and leave. Normally, I would leave right after the van. But then when I got up to walk out the door, literally, and I have four kids now, it's like my body just went out. It was not a head swimming. It was not anything like that. It was like my body stopped functioning. That's how it felt when they got me on the gurnie. And it's fine. That's when they said somebody woke me up and I became very combative. >> Correct. According to my doctor who was on the line with Kayla, she she knows my doctor and all of that. Um, my doctor said that it sounded as if I had superhuman strength. >> In the end, Franklin maintained that someone spiked her drink causing her reaction, but investigators found no evidence of tampering. However, what they did find through a toxicology report was cannabis in her system. As a result, by the end of October, the Clayton County Board voted to oust Franklin from her position as vice chair. In a surprising turn of events, Felicia chose to sue Clayton County for this action.
