Dear YouTube, you and your monetization
policies once again are drunk. I I'm
really annoyed with YouTube right now
and I want to show you guys what we have
to go through as content creators
sometimes to get our content monetized.
You know, we do everything we can to
follow the rules, but YouTube itself
doesn't know how to follow their own
rules. I'm trying not to throw too many
insults out there, but I've got a video
um I'll put the thumbnail up above me.
It's a It's about a guy that was
refusing to get out of his car, was
demanding a supervisor. Um, these kind
of videos are popular out there on the
interwebs. People like to see this I
demand to speak to your supervisor
stuff. This is the kind of video that
might get me a lot of views and could
make me a little bit of money. Help me
pay my bills. But I I uploaded the video
and I got a very normal thing on my
channel, police related content. YouTube
doesn't really like monetizing it. So, I
always get the thing, hey, limited
reviews. uh click here for a uh human
review because it's just AI that reviews
it. So I click the thing for human
review knowing full well that this
should be monetized. I want to get into
the details of the video, but it should
be monetized. Then I get this response
back from YouTube. Should be on the
screen above me here. Uh and I've got
some things selected in red. It I didn't
do the first part, but this is a rating
from a human. It says this is still
going to have limited to no ads due to
recreational drug content. And it gives
you the the timestamp for the
recreational drug content. Let's take a
look at that portion of the video that
they are labeling as recreational drug
content. Other cases and I went over to
the court of common please. Please tell
me I have that case up. Here is his case
from the court of common please. It's
actually a drug possession charge from
uh 2022. So, at the time of this, he
actually had an open case, an open
felony case for felony possession of
drugs. All right. So, I'm spoiling part
of the video here, but the reason that
this guy failed to stop and failed to
obey officer's orders, it's because he
had a warrant for his arrest at the time
of the incident. His warrant was for
possession of drugs. I opened up the
court's web page and I showed his record
and that he had an open case for
possession of drugs. Talking about a
case or a person that has to go to court
for possession of drugs is not the same
as recreational drug content. YouTube,
you're freaking drunk. You need to knock
it off. I should be recording other
kinds of content. and I should be
recording other videos and editing other
videos, but instead I'm so freaking
annoyed that I have to take time out of
my day to make this video about you
complaining because you are drunk and
you don't follow your own
policies. Thanks for attending my TED
talk. I'll talk to you guys soon.
