If you do not voluntarily step out like I'm asking you to. >> I swear to God. Do not open my door. Don't open my door. Record this [ __ ] Come on. >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. [screaming] >> I'M A GIRL. >> Body cam lockown is where we found our video. It's a new channel for us. They're kind of small, but it looks good. Sam likes it. So, we're going to go. Body cam bingo is the game today. [cheering and screaming] Uh, we switched up the card. We took away some stuff. We took away uh name and badge number. We added some different stuff in here. So, we got a new card. We'll see if we get a bingo. >> This officer clocks a woman traveling at 97 m over the speed >> criminal attempts to write her a simple speeding ticket, but she mentions one critical detail that changes the direction of this encounter. >> I'm also Revan with the Jefferson Police Department. >> How you doing? >> Good. The reason I stopped you today, I got you at 97 mph. >> It's a 70. Going entirely too fast. >> Yeah, I got you. I got you. >> Y'all from North Carolina? >> Yeah. >> Who's this vehicle register to? me. >> You okay? All right. Sit time for me. >> Ah, I like that. I like to fast forward. >> Hey, y'all got the registration on this vehicle? >> We couldn't change that for Dream cuz Dream almost played like us. Played for >> I always play the game of can you find your paperwork also. So, it happens. I got to go get the new one that my insurance company sent my >> Yeah. sent my uh check back. So, I got to get new insurance cuz I don't know. They just cancelled and sent the check back. >> Okay. I said time for me. >> Do you have your proof of insurance? >> No. I just told you they sent the check back, but I can show you like where I um where I did it and then they sent the check back. >> But you can just write me up for not having no insurance cuz I don't have none actively as of now. >> That's the answer to the question. >> As of now, >> but they sent the check back like it was their fault, their their mishap. >> Okay. Without insurance, I can't let this vehicle back on the road. >> Yeah. >> Why? >> Because I can. >> You crash into someone. >> Yeah. >> So, what we going to do? So you can, >> she says she sent the check to the insurance company and the insurance company sent it back. The insurance companies want your money. They they want to keep your check. They don't want to send it back, which means something was ary. There was something a miss there. So something didn't add up. And just because they sent that check back doesn't mean you get to drive your car with the excuse of, "Well, they sent my check back." Like you can go into an insurance company, like go into a branch in your community and you can walk out with insurance. I bought a new truck. I had insurance over the phone before I walked out of the dealership. It is This is not a complicated sequence of events. So, something's wrong. She's probably the catalyst for whatever it was that went wrong. And now it's she's putting it on this officer that it's, you know, like it's his fault that he stopped her and is going to tow her car. Not his fault, her fault. >> Go home. >> I know. I'll give you the same opportunity that I give everybody. You can get some insurance here on the side of the road or I can tow the car. And I hate towing people's cars. So, I'm gonna hope you can get some insurance. >> It's too much of a liability to let the vehicle back on the road cuz if I knowingly let you back on the road without insurance and you hit somebody or somebody hits you, I like it. >> Then that's on me because I allowed the vehicle back on the road. >> I like that philosophy. >> Moment the officer checks the back seat and notices something's missing. that bottle that was sitting right here. Where'd it go? >> You could regardless of where it went, you could blow me. I'm not drinking. >> No, I'm I'm not asking that. >> I don't think that needs to happen on the side of the road. >> I show a lot of criminals on this channel, and one kind of crime that's really important to cover is identity theft. Many of us are at risk for becoming a victim. You'd be shocked to see how much of your data, your phone number and your address are just sitting there ready for anyone to grab. Unsatisfied with her answer, he gives someone a call and takes the simple traffic stop in an entirely different direction. >> Hey, Tan, are you about done? Come on up here. I got one with an attitude. We're going to PC search it. >> I like it. >> Yeah. [snorts] >> I got three occupants and the driver's got an attitude. 97 at 1574. >> Get on northbound. Get on 85 northbound the 137 0137 and I'm right here. Not the day to pop an attitude. >> I'm going to reiterate a point that Sam and I have spoken about literally for years, which is if you're knowingly driving dirty if you're you have a warrant, you know your license is suspended, um you know you don't have insurance, drawing attention to yourself in this case at 27 mph over the posted speed limit, like you're just asking for trouble. If she were to have been going the speed limit 70 and a 70, she would have been down the road and this never would have been a video. But instead, she is drawing attention to herself, begging this officer to take a little deeper look into, hey, do you have your registration insurance? When the answer to that is no, you've caused your own dilemma. And that's where we're at right now. Now we're talking. Gloves are going on. >> What you got? >> I got her in 97. >> That's fast. >> I mean, out here that's an average night. >> Um, I've got odor. I had a half bottle of what appeared to be tequila on the back seat that magically disappeared from me going back to my car and coming back up. Watch that back passenger. >> Just eyes on that back. Hey, boss me. You put your Never mind. He's asleep. Hey, do go ahead. Do me a favor. Step out of the car for me. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. >> You say for what? I'm going to go for what? >> As soon as you step out of the car for what? Let me explain what's going to happen. If you do not voluntarily step out like I'm asking you to. >> I'm just making sure like what we stepping out for. >> It's cool. Step out of the vehicle. >> I'm asking. >> Step out of the vehicle or I'm going to force you out of the vehicle. >> You do and you will get sued cuz what what did you say? You have >> lawsuit. You'll get sued. stepping out. >> Apparently in this state, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle is a crime the same way it is here in Arizona. That means that a crime is being committed with evidence in that vehicle. Those officers can search that car. That is, I'm not a legal legal scholar, but I know what I know. So, they're telling her, "Hey, you need to get out so we could search this car. There's evidence of a crime." She says that's this is where the problem comes in is when she says no. Get out. No. That's it. You have to get out. It is they are well within their legal right. Everything that they're doing, his justification for the stop is good. His articulation as to why was good. Everything is good. She has she has to comply here. So when she says no, and I I got to give credit to this officer. good job on giving some very direct orders on getting out of the car and not asking 30 times but going to work. You know, when he says get out and she says no, he he does the ask, tell make. He asked her, he told her, and then he made her. And I I appreciate that level of directness. >> Hey, bud. Put your hands on your uh put your hands on your lap for me. Put your hands on your lap. >> I can see his other hand. >> Got it. >> I can see it. Yeah. >> What we stepping out to? >> Nothing on this side. >> Tell me. You have to tell me why we stepping out. >> No. No, they [snorts] don't. >> I SWEAR TO GOD. DO NOT OPEN MY DOOR. DON'T open my door. Don't Don't open my door. >> Do not open my door. >> Do not open my If you break my car, you're going to you're going to see about this, bro. >> Bro, you you have to tell me touch me. Do not touch me. Do not touch me. Right. Oh yeah. Up and down. I got a bingo. I got an up and down bingo. Record this [ __ ] cuz I'm I'm telling you that me out. They haven't told me why they tell you [ __ ] You can get out in the car. >> No, that's not how [ __ ] works. >> No. >> They never talk about why they placed her under arrest. And they don't have to. you you're there is no requirement legally anywhere that I know of, at least in Arizona that I could speak of, um that we have to tell someone why they're under arrest, um unless it's like a DUI thing and you're going through the DUI process. But besides that, um like if I arrest someone for shoplifting, I don't have to go sir or ma'am, you are under arrest for the violation of Arizona Revised Statutes. That's shoplifting. We don't do that. We we can place people under arrest and book them into jail. They can find out at their initial appearance when they're standing in front of a judge why they're arrested. We don't have to tell them. And again, she's she's getting all lippy with this. Sorry. There's a whole bunch of reasons why you arrested. There's There certainly isn't just one. Oh my [ __ ] not happy. Please tell me >> let go my leg. HOW THE [ __ ] I'M SUPPOSED TO GET OUT OF THE CAR? >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. >> LET MY LEG GO, [ __ ] WHAT THE >> GET OUT OF THE CAR. [screaming] >> LIGHT HER UP >> NOW. I'M >> TURN AROUND. PUT YOUR HANDS. >> LOOK at how easy that is. [ __ ] All for nothing. >> Call my people. Who exactly are your people? >> Keep your hands right where they are. >> Go ahead. Okay. Cuz y'all didn't tell me why I got you. You >> maybe cooperate a little bit. >> I'm not doing >> Get her back there so I can see this passenger. >> You see that? >> NO, I'M NOT. I'm not doing this. M pretty close to I'm not resisting. I'm on the I'm on the border about that. What's >> your name? >> Hey Jeff, GET THAT GET THAT NAME AND BADGE NUMBER, BRO. >> OH, we just took that off >> and your card. Okay, >> we just took it off. >> Just keep your hands right where you got them. >> So, there's three people in this vehicle. One of them is mouthy and has an attitude and the other are absolutely totally compliant. So, you'll notice that use of force was only used on the person who was actively disobeying lawful orders. The passengers were totally cool. It even looked like the front seat passenger was videoing. Not a problem. It's your right. Video all you want. We got video. You got video. Cool, man. You got two different angles from the same thing. It's great. But the fact of the matter is the passengers in this vehicle were compliant. They didn't, you know, exacerbate the situation. They were just there as passengers and no use of force was used on them whatsoever. These officers showed the the absolute perfect amount of professionalism dealing with the problem at hand. They didn't they didn't lump everyone into the same, you know, bucket that, well, you're all in this car, so we're going to treat you all terrible. The woman that that was the issue was dealt with appropriately. The other two, you know, I think the the officer was like, hey, man, just hang tight there. No problems at all. So, this is a great lesson for if you're in a vehicle and something bad happens and you don't do anything to make it worse, you're probably going to get out of there pretty okay. And that's exactly what happened here. >> So, angry out. >> Shut up. >> And I'm going to be out. I'm going to jail for what? Come on, y'all. Some weird. >> You checked her. Nope. Y'all can't touch me. I'm a girl. >> YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME. I'M A GIRL. I'M A GIRL. >> THAT'S NOT TRUE. >> You touch me. I'm a I'm a girl. >> That's not true. Nothing about that is true. This suspect is failing to recognize that laws aren't gender specific like this. And our policies, except for very few little variations, aren't gender specific. When we search someone, we search someone. There isn't I don't search you because you're a girl and I'm a guy or female officers and male suspects there. It doesn't We just search suspects. You're just a human. You're just a biped and we're there making sure you don't have any weapons or contraband. That's it. It doesn't matter if you're like she's screaming. She's all tough and then she's like, "I'm a girl. I'm a girl." No one cares that you're a girl. I don't care how you don't care if you identify as a panda. that's great. I'm still going to search you, you know, and if you're a marsupial, you got that little pocket in there, we're going to search that, too, and make sure there's not drugs in it. That's it. We don't care. We don't care who you are. So, and I think she failed to understand that and was just wrapped around the axles about the fact that he was a a male and he was searching her. It's literally his job. It's his policy to search before he secures someone in the back of his vehicle like it is every other police agency I've ever heard of. So think she's just barking up the wrong tree. >> What's in your pocket? >> What's in your pocket? >> I'm a girl. >> I'm a girl. I don't have no weapons and you all in my pocket. Oh, >> get out. I'M A GIRL. YOU'RE NOT EVEN SUPPOSED to be in my pocket. >> That's not true at all. You're totally wrong about that. >> Swap sides. >> Valley of wrong. >> Sides with me. >> I'm a girl. >> I'm a girl. We just right now. Okay. >> All right. That's all. >> I am a girl. And he over here TOUCHING ME ALL IN MY POCKETS AND [ __ ] >> Pulling my pants and [ __ ] I AM A GIRL. >> She goes back my car. >> That's weird. All because [laughter] I didn't have no All because no. They didn't tell me nothing. I don't even know why I'm going to jail. >> They didn't even say that. >> Why are you yelling? Why you the only one there that's yelling? >> The whole be happier. My mama was drip cuz there was a key in my phone. >> Oh, in the car. [snorts] >> Hold on. Back her up right here. That was the sergeant. Back her up a little bit. Back her up a little bit. Pull her back. Let me get the seat belt. >> Like y'all doing both OF Y'ALL WEIGH 10 TIMES MORE THAN ME. NOT >> 10 times a little bit of an exaggeration. All >> that record. We going to definitely cause an issue. I'm definitely causing issue. And I'm a veteran. I've got a lot of friends that are veterans. Lot a lot of veterans turn into cops in their life after their first phase of service. Um because it's a it's a like a round peg in a round hole. It's a very it's a great fit. But what veterans learn, as I've learned from hanging out with veterans literally my entire life, is they follow orders pretty well. It's kind of a it's kind of a thing in a military or in my case a paramilitary organization is you're giving an order, you just obey it. Maybe you ask about it later. Maybe you ask a friend, but you obey that order because it was given. She didn't she she has no idea what that's like. She has no idea how to do that. So whether she was impaired by alcohol, which they didn't mention, um I don't know. I don't know what happened there, but whatever it is, um, she just she can't seem to listen. So, I mean, she's a veteran, but she was she really good at it? I don't know. >> We going to definitely cause a [ __ ] issue. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we going to cause issue cuz he got ALL THAT ON THE COURT, Y'ALL. WAIT, Y'ALL. WEAK AS TRYING TO GIRL like that. Weak. Real talk. >> Okay. >> We Okay. >> Yep. >> There we go. Now it's more quiet. [snorts] Let me swap gloves real quick. >> In the end, Mrs. McNair was charged with speeding as well as three counts of resisting arrest and obstruction on a law enforcement officer. What is obstructing a law enforcement officer? Tell me. Well, it falls under three categories that all must be true. Number one, the officer was lawfully performing a legal duty. Number two, the defendant knew the person was an officer. And number three, the defendant willfully resisted, obstructed, or opposed the officer. >> So, we got the bingo. We got it. We got bro a bunch of times. We had the I think she mentioned something about the fact that she was going to sue them. So, the up and down in the middle. We got it. So, great car. First time with this card. First video with a new card and we got it. We would have had another one, too, if we would have left name and badge number on there. So, we we had some other options, too. But, we got to have a different bingo card every day. So, um, got a bingo with that. What would a bingo for you would be is subscribing. So, click subscribe. We are looking to hit 400,000. That's our benchmark. Um, that's that is the next goal that we're going for. I Please help me get there. Click subscribe. It lets us know how many people are watching. It really helps out the channel. So, thanks for watching. We'll see you on the next one.
