On January 18th, 2025, officers responded to a call regarding a disturbance at a bar. >> You just showed me by the net, sir. >> What's going on? >> Hello, internet. I'm Frank Slope. I'm a 24-year veteran in the sheriff's office here in Arizona. We're going to be doing some Body Cam Breakdown today. The video we found is on Body Cam Watch. Great channel. We use them all the time. Their quality of what they put out is great, and this looks to be no exception. while we're doing some body cam breakdown. We're going to be doing some body cam bingo also. So, we've got a great card today. Uh we've got all the all the standards on there. We're going to see if we can get a bingo. >> We're trying to do what's wrong with dogs and the people are pushing us out of the mark and now they're >> Hey, break it up. Break it up. Hey, come out here. Come out here. >> What is going on here? >> Piece of [ __ ] >> All right. Go for me. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Just let me get everybody separated real quick. All right. Thanks. All right. Come over here. >> Close the door so we can talk. >> Yep. Yep. Close the door. >> Arguments at bars are always terrible. People are inebriated. Logic has left the building and you end up just dealing with impaired people that are hard to logic with and hard to get a good story from because trying to have a linear line of logic is like trying to herd drunken squirrels. So just it everything about investigations at bars is terrible. So I'm sure as this officer gets there and sees everything that's going on, he's, you know, he's asking for more help. >> Front door to that bar. Looks like a >> front door to a house. >> All right. So >> we were just trying to get a drink and we're going to sit outside with our dogs and they're pushing us out and they're yelling at us like no dogs allowed. We're like, "Okay, we're just going to get our drinks. we're going to set outside. Like, you're not allowed to do that on our property, blah blah blah. And they're yelling at her and they're yelling at him. >> Okay. >> I travel a lot and I go to a lot of different cities and I know the majority of cities. You can't just walk down the road or sit on the curb with an alcoholic beverage. You can in Vegas. If you're on Beiel Street, you know, you go to BB Kings in Memphis, you're on Beiel Street, you want to have a drink, you can do that. But the majority of other places, you can't. And it appears that this is one of those places. So you can't just walk down the road. Can't go inside and order a beer and then drink it out on the sidewalk. So I don't know why this is this their requirement of, "Hey, I'm just going to go in and grab a beer and go out." That doesn't meet any sort of legal standard. >> We said, "Okay, we're just got a drink and sit outside. That's all." Listen, service animals are allowed in any bar you want to be on, >> right? >> That's that's my dogs. >> Okay. >> So, why the are they >> What is it a service? You can't just say a dog's a service animal. >> So, I don't know. >> I I'll I'll talk to you in just a second. Let me talk to them. Okay. >> They touched her honest. >> Okay. >> Please. It's not fair. >> How's it going, guys? All friendly? >> Yeah. >> Oh, hello poppers. >> You guys mind coming over to this table with me? >> Can we stay right where we are? >> Can you come over to this table with me? >> I mean, yes, sir. I can. >> There we go. That's the answer. >> Just trying to create some space. That makes sense. >> Do what? >> There's no need for gloves, Von. >> I put gloves on on every call. You never know when you got to touch somebody. Um, all right. So, what's going what's going on tonight? >> Nothing. >> Uh, long story short, I don't know. >> I've been here. I know the owners of this bar. I know the bartenders normally. >> Okay. >> So, my story, I was standing outside with the dogs >> and I seen her get shoved out the door by her throat. >> Okay. >> Do you owe back taxes or have unfiled returns? Well, I got to know who I'm talking to. >> We just >> I'm Henry. No, you don't. >> My name is Henry. >> Yes, you do. >> I mean, so you guys, those are your dogs. >> Mhm. >> You're trying to go in, get a drink. >> Mhm. >> And then what what happened from there? >> They said, "No, >> don't go in. >> Don't go in." >> So Louis said, "Okay, we just want to get the drinks. We'll sit out here." And they said, "We can't serve you guys." >> Okay. >> We said, "Why? We're not going to bring the dogs in. They're fine. They're service animals. They're our friends dogs. What? >> Listen, if you have your dog and you go into a bar, >> I don't go into a bar with my dog. Neither does my wife. >> I'm not saying you. >> As you can see by how entitled these two couples are in their actions with police, it comes as absolutely no surprise that they probably walked in that bar with their dogs. And look, I'm a dog lover. I am [clears throat] I've said it forever. I love dogs. I don't bring my dog into a bar. It's just it's not a nice place for him. It's loud. There's lots of people. It's it is not an ideal place for a dog to be. So, I don't put my dog in that scenario because I'm not a jerk owner. Um, you know, some dogs are are more um, you know, capable or have, you know, been trained like that. Absolutely. But I don't I just don't want to put my dog in that circumstance. But the fact that they were so entitled and so arrogant that to think that they could just walk into a bar with their dogs pretending that they're some sort of service animal. Um just they're the problem. They're the problem is these two couples and I'm glad that the police officers that are dealing with this are dealing with it in the manner they are. >> What the is going on in Florida? Like >> no one knows what happens in Florida. or >> she grabbed me by the neck and >> and shoved her out the door and I watched that. >> Okay. What were the events leading up to that? >> She went in and asked for a drink. They said we couldn't have dogs in there >> and they were pushing at my friend that were touching >> them. >> And they were pushing my husband. >> Fair. >> Okay. So, I do need you guys to identify yourself. >> So, the bartender is the one that put the hands on you with me. I know everybody here. I worked at >> Tell him is the bartender the one that shoved you out the door or was it a patron? >> No. >> No, the bartender. >> No, it was the bartender. >> The biggest argument it sounds like is that at least from the from the blonde female is that she was pushed out. And I was pushed out. Well, if you're in an establishment like a liquor establishment and you're causing a disturbance, which obviously I guarantee she was just because of her of her actions that we've seen so far, they can physically remove you from the premises. It is absolutely here in Arizona, that's what bouncers can do. They can with reasonable force, they can put their hands on you inside the bar to remove you from causing a disturbance. It appears that Florida has that same exact, you know, law and threshold for use of force by the owner or a an employee of a liquor establishment. So, I don't think that anyone in that bar did anything wrong. And I think all of the fault lies with these two couples. >> A patron. >> What does she look like? >> Uh, older woman, blonde hair, um, kind of shorter. >> Okay. uh grabbed me by the neck and just slung my head back. >> I bet to have one. >> There's an exaggeration there. >> Have a dinner. >> I got you. >> But they were also against us. >> They were so mean to us. >> I don't know if it's because me and my husband are Hispanic and I'm really eastern. >> I'm going to go with race card on that. >> Yep. Hey, >> shut up. >> Just come back in. >> Just come over here, sir. For >> a sec. >> No, look at my face. >> Yep. We'll talk to you. >> I got you. We'll talk to you in a second. Go ahead and close that door for me. >> All right. And then what's his date of birth? >> I'm telling you, I walked in with my dogs. Okay. >> These people were like, "Who are you? Why is your dog in here? Is this a service dog?" And I said, "Well, pretty much, you know, >> well, pretty much doesn't count." One of my most favorite breed of dogs ever in the history of forever are pit bulls. I think they're just such an incredibly loyal breed. Um I think they they want nothing but to love you and to just to to be loyal to you. They're great. They are my my sister's got a pit bull. I it's raised around the family. I absolutely love it. I very highly doubt I'm very suspect of a team of three service pitbulls that are trying to get into this bar. Like I'm sure there's a pit bull somewhere that's a service animal. He's been trained. He loves all the pets and snuggles and kisses and it's just the best pit bull ever and he's a service pit bull. I'm sure that that exists somewhere. But I doubt that there are three of those and they all happen to be in the same place in Florida trying to get into a bar. I just I just don't see it. So call me skeptical. The bartender said uh somebody in this party assaulted two people in my back. >> Okay. >> What are we talking about now? >> What are we talking about now? >> What do you say? >> Who are you? >> I'm one of the the guys that had the dogs in them. And >> let me see your ID since you sir. I'm telling you right now I have a legal reason to ask for your identification. >> I have one. >> I like how that guy backs away. >> Have a seat. Okay, I'm sure. >> Hey, stop. >> Where are you going? >> I'm right here. >> As this investigation progresses, it appears that this these two couples are the primary aggressors in this disorderly conduct, in this, you know, argument that happened, a possible assault. Um, it's becoming clear that the only reason that there was any sort of um of disorderly conduct that [clears throat] happened was because these two couples were trying to get in in the bar with their dogs. Um, because they are suspects in an active criminal investigation, they have to identify themselves. Um, they no long this isn't a consensual contact. this is now a criminal investigation and they have to provide evidence of identity either physically or by giving information name and date of birth. Um, when they refuse to do that, that refusal to provide evidence of identity is a criminal offense in Florida as it is here in Arizona and it allows these police officers to put their hands on these suspects. >> No, don't touch me. Don't touch me. Turn around and put your hand. >> I got Don't touch me. I got a bingo already. Ha, >> I love it. >> Okay. >> And everybody was trying to kick us out like no dogs love. They told you no dogs. I was okay. So just go outside. And she was just looking for her friend. >> What's one second, ma'am? >> Sarge >> 245. Hold his hand. Big >> Sarge cuffs him up >> and you search him. >> All right. >> The only thing I got out of that was a birthday. Pepper spray. >> Go ahead. Sir, you're escalating the situation by your failure to comply. I keep telling you not to do something. You keep doing it and you're resist. Stop tensing your arms. >> I'm not. >> Stop tensing your arms and allow me to >> That guy needs to be incuff. I'm uncomfortable. >> Okay. I got uh attacked pretty much. >> Pretty much. >> Not only women, but men. >> Hey, he's getting locked up. >> Uh not necessarily. Not necessarily. >> Yeah, he just got >> They're just searching. >> No way. Go handle that. >> Where uh what >> what happened with them? >> I don't know. Same thing as us. >> Nothing. >> Mhm. >> Happened. He's not going to jail >> here. Just just stay over here with me. Just stay with me. I don't He's not He's not in cuffs. He's not in cuff. >> I'm going to jail. I swear to God, I'll make a phone call. He's not searching him right now. >> Who are you going to call [laughter] >> when the sergeant places him under arrest? >> Piece of [ __ ] >> Sergeant. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, stay over here. Ma'am, don't Hey, don't create another issue for yourself. Just stay over here. >> That's right, >> sir. I don't know what's going on over there. We'll figure it out. >> But don't don't go over there. I don't want you to create another problem for yourself, okay? As of right now, you guys are not >> in trouble for Okay. >> No, nobody's in trouble. >> And I promise you, >> you won't want this trouble. >> [laughter] >> That's pretty pretty arrogant. >> They're what? >> For what? >> Been arrested for resisting an officer without violence. Love it. >> Was he arrested for sure? Do you know? >> Ma'am. Ma'am, please stay over here. >> Lindsy. Lindsy. Lindsy. Lindsy. Wait. Lindsy. >> Here it comes. Pitles have a stigma. I'll acknowledge that. Um, you know, they're used in in dog fighting and they're, you know, if they're trained and brought up and bred to be aggressive, absolutely, they could be an aggressive breed. Um, but so are Chihuahua and so are chows. I mean, there's all sorts of aggressive breeds that are out there. But these pit bulls surrounded by people that they don't know, including the officers, standing on the side of the street in a pretty loud environment with people yelling, these pit bulls are really well behaved. I think we should note that these pit bulls are better behaved than their owners. Like all three of those pit bulls just stood there and hung out, laying down, just looking around while their owners are absolutely acting a fool. Like those owners need to look at those dogs like maybe I should be more chill like that dog instead of being like me, a jerk. >> Ma'am. Ma'am, >> the people there who's >> so there's people inside that are involved. Haven't talked to him yet. And then uh heard him and him in the vehicle. >> Are you guys arresting him? >> Yeah, he's going to jail >> for resisting an officer without violence. >> Don't do that. Please don't do that. >> Come on, guys. Please don't do that. >> No, >> please don't. >> He needs to go >> contact the person. Apparently, somebody hit somebody. >> She She was pressed out. She was shoved out by the neck. >> She does not want to press charges. >> I'm not pressing charges. I got choked first and I can't >> I can't hear you because she's yelling. So talk louder, please. >> Patron [laughter] patron inside. >> Patron inside. Pushed her out by the neck. >> She doesn't want She doesn't want to charge. >> Has not spoke with anybody inside yet. >> We haven't made contact. >> No, he is going to jail. >> Why? Why? >> I already told you I'm not going to repeat myself 50 times. I like how she she thinks she's going to overpower the sergeant's decision. >> Both of them. >> I I >> Who's them over there? >> He didn't do nothing. What does he do? Nothing. >> So, there's four people all together. >> Ask Holy Ghar. He's one of them and he hasn't been identified yet. Why? >> He hasn't done anything. >> Go get Go get his identification. Okay. So, >> the information he has done. >> So, sorry. >> He's been sitting outside the whole time. >> Stupid woman just videoing. >> We were inside. Okay, congratulations. But I mean, I'm not here to give you guys a hard time. We're here to find out what happened. >> You're arresting someone that didn't even do anything wrong. >> Well, you weren't standing over here during our exchange. So, you don't really know it. >> And I can press charges on a human being that put their hands on me. She didn't even touch nobody. Why is he giving >> anybody? Yeah. >> For failure to obey lawful commands on you. >> You are crazy as hell. Wait till I >> I don't think that that's crazy on your ass. Wait, because I know everybody here. I used to work at Worcester Pub for 5 years. I know all everybody. >> He didn't do anything. Honestly, >> just wait. He may not have done anything. Our kids are here. >> He may not have done anything before I arrived, but he did something after I arrived and he's going to jail. >> That's like >> What did he do? What did he do? >> I already told you. I just think he'd say >> Let's see the video. >> So, what what's his name? Henry. >> Henry. What's his middle name? >> No. Don't give him nothing. No. >> I'd hook her, too. >> You want a birthday? >> Yeah. Lindsay is L I L L I N D. >> S E Y. >> But he's going to be in. >> Let's not harp on what his name is. >> You got her identified. >> Yep. >> You got her identified. >> No. >> Why not? >> Um Carmen was over there. Um he was talking to them at the time. I don't know. >> You have your identification with you? >> No. Okay. What's your last name? >> Unless I forgot it. >> Okay. This is how he ended up in jail >> by doing what you're doing now. >> Oh, you want to arrest me? >> What's your last name? >> I just got assaulted. You want to arrest me? >> What's your last name? >> Let's see how that works out for you. >> You can go from victim to suspect very quickly. >> What's your last name? >> What's your last name, ma'am? >> Nope. Ain't going to >> 10:15 right now. Ma'am. Ma'am, come back. >> Sir, please over there. >> Here it is. And >> you're under arrest. >> Hey. Hey. Hey. What? You stay over there, partner. You stay right where you're at. >> Oh, stop. >> Get off of me. WHAT THE ARE Y'ALL DOING? [laughter] >> AH. >> OH, here comes repercussions. [screaming] >> Yep. >> Stop. Stop. >> Stop doing [laughter] stop resisting for this. Stop resisting. Perfect. Stop resisting. >> Hey, >> videotape this. Videape this. >> It's being videoed by three different angles. >> Videape this. [laughter] >> It's so dumb. >> Videotape this. Get your hand off my neck. >> Are you crazy? >> Are you crazy? >> Yep. >> I love it. Oh, I love it so much. >> I HAVEN'T DONE NOTHING. NO, he said he was Come here. >> He was defending you. >> No, she's going to jail. >> For what? >> Resisting an officer. >> For what reason? >> I'll take for what? >> Resisting an officer. Would you like to go to jail for the same thing? >> And attacking me. >> Come on, put it in the car. >> Lens, >> I haven't done nothing. >> That's not exactly true. >> What does she do? >> I already told you. >> I haven't done nothing. >> Anything. He his hands are shaking. Babe, videotape this. >> I >> Hey, send it to send it to my buddy. >> We're Charlie Living Central. >> Want a doll mail? 10:15. >> What are you What are you videoing? Congratulations. She's under arrest. >> Have her have her search when we get her to the station. Does she have any Can just check her back. Make sure she doesn't have any weapons in it. Okay. Check the pockets in her coat and just put her in the car. Okay. Just get her out of here. >> Okay. >> I love it. I like big Sarge. >> Taking care of business. >> All right. >> Come back here in >> the back of the car. >> Oh, well, you're gone. >> You can't You can't You got to handcuff me on the front. >> Nope. >> Nope. >> You missed that chance when you resisted. >> Yep. >> I didn't resist. >> Yep. Go ahead. >> I'm going to say that's a complaints about cuffs >> with the morning handcuffs in the front. IHOP. It's IHOP. I told him to go buy IHOP. >> Well, your best my best suggestion to you >> 16, 17 years old >> to go find your kids and have them drive you home if they're old enough to drive. Is it about Have you been drinking, too? >> Our hotel's right here. >> Okay. Then to go back to the hotel and stay there the rest of the night. >> Like that. >> Okay. >> Ma'am, giving you a chance to have a seat. >> I'm going to You got to handcuff me in the front, please. >> Ma'am, please get in the car. >> Please. Oh, all of a sudden now it's pleased >> in the car. >> Mark, >> I know, babe. There's nothing I can do in the car. >> Hey, partner. Hey, get away from there now. >> Get back over here now. >> I have to go, babe. Before I go, too. >> Yep. >> Ma'am. >> Hey, that's a smart man right there. >> I wouldn't do nothing. >> I cannot believe this. I said it wasn't even prison charges on the girl that jumped ME OUT. NOW I'M GETTING ARRESTED. SHE'S NOT GOING TO JAIL. >> We haven't even had a chance to talk to her yet because we've been dealing with you. >> This is crazy >> cuz you're drunk and stupid. [snorts] >> Yeah, but now I know. Now I have to deal with bailing her out and >> Yes. >> over kids and our kids. >> Well, I'm sorry about all that, but you guys did not do this to them. They did it to themselves. We take each person on their individual actions. Have a seat in the car. >> Roll down the window. Can you roll down? >> You can roll down the window. >> I can run the window for you. Get some AC going. >> Can you put the handcuffs on the front? >> Well, the whole thing about that after you have a seat in the car, >> please. I swear I'll sit down. >> Okay. Well, have a seat in the car. >> What have you done to earn that? >> I didn't do nothing. >> All right. I need you to put your feet in. >> Couldn't happen to a nicer woman. >> Are we all done? Do we have everybody? I still have Yes, everybody's IDed. I still have not talked to anybody inside. >> Yeah, your ID's right there on the table. >> Let's get this wrapped up. >> But at the end of the day, she was the one that was assaulted. >> Yeah. Really? >> Sometimes you go from victim to suspect. >> So, what what happened tonight? We were going to come in and talk to you, but we've had to deal with all this. >> Yeah. It's okay. So, um >> Did she Did she hit you? >> Look at my forehead. >> So, she put hands on you? No, she hit Look. Put your fingers on my forehead and see. >> Yeah, I see it. No, she punched me in the face. >> Anybody witness it? >> Everybody did. Yes. >> All right. Uh, >> I want Absolutely. >> All right. We're going to have you fill out some paperwork. >> Okay. >> He said he's saying she's claustrophobic. >> She's hearing. Yes. >> Take her to the jail. >> That's what I'm saying. Get her out of the car. >> Okay. >> Before she >> This is how it happened. How it transpired. They had their little doggies there. I went and pet their dogs. I'm like, "Oh my god, they're so cute." And I'm thinking, "Why are we having pit bulls in the bar?" >> They're big, >> though. No. And then the next thing that we had this, it was some kind of barroom brawl. I don't really know how it happened. And I kind of came out to defend what was going on. [snorts] And she's like, >> I think that's the right word. you >> and Yeah. No, I mean you can clearly see she hit me in the face. >> Yeah. >> Like >> so I just She's crazy. >> I just want to talk to some people in there. If I have a couple people that witness it, >> everybody, everybody here on the corner, they saw everything. >> This is unreal. I cannot believe that y'all would actually want to throw me in jail. >> Yeah. Oh, yeah. >> Yep. >> Over this. >> Uh do you want them trespassed? Yep. >> Absolutely. >> They said they said they're in here all the time. >> I've never seen this. I've been here for Okay. Okay. >> Yeah. I've seen seven years. >> I've been here your whole life. >> Yeah. Right. But I have been here for seven years and I've never seen them. But I'm not working tonight. My boyfriend just came in for a quick drink um after dinner. >> So that's a >> $500 bond. It's a first first degree misdemeanor >> and that $500 thrown out of court. Usually they find that the arrest is sufficient for the charge. >> So they throw it out of court so it don't really get charged. I'm just asking. >> Well, she'll have a criminal record. >> Still, she will because of the arrest. It goes on her record and that doesn't come off. Yep. >> So, I really like the fact that this officer is explaining like, "Look, we're going to book you into jail tonight because you need to go there, but that's going to be the end of it. you're going to, you know, sounds like you could pay a fine and that's the end of it. There's not going to be, you know, a long drawn out court battle. Um, that the problem is solved with the fact that they were taken into custody, subsequently identified. Um, they'll get good fingerprints and pictures in jail and then released and that'll be it. So, I really like that because it solves the problem. It gets them away from the bar. It identifies them as the suspects in the disorderly conduct and everyone can go about their way. >> Yeah. So, what's your uh P? Is it Peter or Pete or >> I'll give you >> Paul? >> One more guess after a famous NFL player. >> Uh Pete Rose. >> Payton. Pton Manning. >> Oh, okay. >> All right. >> Pete Rose is not in the NFL. >> On the right, too. [laughter] Frank, all we wanted is a beer. >> And we had dogs. >> And when they said no, I walked out. I didn't hit nobody. Nothing. >> Why are you arresting me? Why are you arresting me? All right. Body cam watch did us right. Another great video from them. And we got a body cam bingo. We got top to bottom on the diagonal. So, great video, great bingo on this one. Um, I think we had some real good solid police work. We had a good solid big Sarge. So, I love it.
