Copy, he's northbound on Southway. 51, he's continuing north. Yeah, we're at the intersection right now. Came to a complete stop before making a right on red. Eastbound on Southway. Going about 4 mph on the lawnmower. Toro. [laughter] No license plate. So, I love this officer. I love his demeanor during this pursuit because he's doing everything right. He's giving out traffic. He's giving out direction of travel, what road he's on, current speeds. Except everything is in the single digits. It's like, we're going 4 mph. We're going 9 to 10 mph. Like I I love it. This guy's good, and I don't know if it if he thought it was as funny as I did watching it, but I'm all about it. Copy, northbound on Southway, 4 mph. He just waved his hand as to wave me off. 30 to 50, what do you want to do? Oh, Midwest Safety, you're so good. Well, I'm westbound on Southway. I see him coming. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll stop. We're headed towards the construction zone, no traffic. Eastbound Southway at Demont. 9 to 10 mph. I think he's going. Southway at Demont, 10 mph. He's just driving down the road. >> Everyone knows I love body worn camera video from Florida. I love it. I love the sheriff's offices there. Police departments are great. I love everything about I love the fishing there. I love the I love everything about Florida. On a very close second to Florida, Wisconsin and Ohio are fighting for the next best body cam videos. They're great. You get crazy drunks in the snow up in Wisconsin, crazy cheeseheads up there, people in Ohio doing crazy stuff. I love it. So, this video from Ohio, it's already good. It's It's got lots of green grass, lawnmowers in action. I love it. >> [clears throat] >> Go on by. All right, here we go. He says, "No, thank you, friend." He's going through a yard. Cutting the grass. He's going through two yards northbound. Just cut the grass. You wouldn't wait to buy fire insurance until your house is already burning, right? So, why wait to protect your money? Just cutting the grass. Headed towards Hazelbrook. Copy, continuing your block towards 4000 block. Thank you, Midwest Safety. The suspect is currently still in the yards to the right. As these officers redirect themselves, another officer and former track star runner attempts to make contact. Hi, hello. He's crazy. He's crazy. Track star is going. That's got A GOOD GAIT. TRAVELING ON THE PROPERTY. TASER'S OUT. Go on, GO NOW. NOT EVEN MOWING. YES. TASER DEPLOYMENT. Continue east. Correction, continue west. Continue west. He's a menace on lawnmower. All right, he's back out on Clark towards North Clark. Headed towards Hazelbrook. Bet there's some good deer hunting there. Looks like good deer area. He's northbound towards the storage units. Looks like he may have turned around. LAWN WASHING YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD. HE'S GOING BACK EAST. LET'S DO A WALK THROUGH THE WOODS. Taser was born here in the state of Arizona. Um Axon is housed here. They're right up in Scottsdale. We don't wear a lot of We don't wear a lot of clothes here. We just I'm in short sleeve shirts 90% of my year. This is the perfect garment for a taser to work through. A big puffy jacket, it's just not the same. There's There's lots of padding. The probes don't get They don't make contact with your skin. It's a whole different problem when you start working in cold weather as opposed to working in warm weather. So, these guys are trying to light him up with the taser. It has no effect. It probably never even touched him. The guy probably didn't even know he got hit. So, these are different problems that you have when you wear jackets as opposed to t-shirts. He tried to run over 30. He's going back to Hazelbrook. All right? Yeah. The taser's not doing anything, though. He's got that thick coat on. Okay, we're going to terminate this. We know who he is. He's not going to stop. Again, and I've I've said it before, when you start talking about vehicle pursuits, there is a certain amount of liability, there is a certain amount of danger that's involved there. Even with this, if Bill would have ran over a police officer's foot with that thing, then you're talking about a serious career-ending injury. So, they know who he is. They're the supervisor's decision to call off this pursuit was definitely the right thing to do. Um like I said, pursuits are fun, and I think pitting a lawnmower would be awesome, but I it was definitely the right thing to do. It's a small town. They know where he is. They know where he lives. They know who he is. They know where he parks his lawn mower. Um you know, they just went back and got him a couple days later. Not a big deal. He's out of control. 30 tried to get him off the mower. He tried to run him over. Okay, we'll file charges. The taser didn't affect him cuz he has that big coat on. Yeah. We'll just file felony assault on him. He had a thick jacket on. Didn't even penetrate. I had I lit him up. Bill lit him up. That guy's out of control. Is he okay? Yeah. You see me go for a ride? He's in the He's in my in the backyard. Is he stopped? He's making a loop back out on Eagle Brook. Okay. All units, stop chasing. He's not going to stop. We'll just file for warrants on him. Some crazy guy trying to run over people on a mower. Never know what you're going to see. Over the course of the next day, the suspect was taken into custody for his original warrants that started this whole incident. He was then released on bond. [music] However, due to officers filing new charges on him for his actions on the lawn mower, they need to take him into custody again, which won't go smoothly. Are we done? Bill around? Not yet, but he's supposed to be here shortly. Who's Who's he with? Um I got my friend Miss Linda are picking him up. He was down at the Sheets. So, she I asked her if she would go pick him up and bring him back. So, they should be here like within the next 10 minutes. Okay. What does What does she drive? Uh the Mazda SUV today. Okay. Silver Mazda SUV. All right. I have the report finished. I'm going to sit up here at the corner. Okay. Did you guys track down his stupid mower that he was evading yesterday on? >> Yeah, we have his mower. Crazy Bill. All right, he's a nut. If you're involved in a a vehicle pursuit with a regular four-wheeled vehicle and we stop you, we're going to tow your car. It is evidence that it was used in the commission of a crime. Apparently, if you are reckless driving on a lawn mower, you use that in commission of the crime also. The crime of aggravated assault on law enforcement officer. So, they took it. I love that they towed it. They probably pulled up a flatbed and said, "Tow this thing up there." [clears throat] And that's it. And you know what? Bill's not going to commit reckless driving anymore on his golf cart cuz it's gone. I don't know why he does the things he does. >> Well, I can explain that to you why he do it. Because he's old, he's senile, and he's got a whole lot of dementia going on. He's got a whole lot of this, that, and the other going on with his wife stealing his money, moving to Thailand, eating I hear wives do that. stressed out. He's just discombobulated. Yeah. That's pretty much what it is. I know that for a fact. 51S, they uh vehicle right there, that silver one that just turned. Like old helping Helpertons. COME ON. HOLDING TRAFFIC. 30, I'M OUT. ALL RIGHT. NIGHT, Crazy Bill. All right, Bill. All right, now we're done. You guys Come on. You have any pocket knives or anything like that on you? I got a machine gun. You do? Do you have any pocket knives? Look how crazy. He's even got crazy suspenders. Gloves on. Just check him real quick. I guess I ain't got nothing. Woah, don't knock me over. Come on back here, Bill. That one. Yep, this one right here. He's so old. Yeah, you're going to jail. Why? For yesterday. So, what you got arrested for yesterday was for the warrants that you had already before that. And then what you're getting arrested for today is what you did yesterday. Oh, come on. Driving a lawn mower. Well, you got to do is stop. Well, I they charged me $600 the last time I stopped. >> Well, Now you're facing a bunch of charges. They towed my lawn mower. We did. You're right. I didn't have $600 to even mow the grass. Good job. Why is it a law I was driving a lawn mower. Have a seat, buddy. I'm serious. I'll put the windows down for you, okay? Good idea. I'm getting arrested for what I did yesterday? Yep. Yeah. If I knew that, I wouldn't have come home. I probably agree with that. You stole it yesterday, that's why you turned down this way. It's like I'll pay you tomorrow for a hamburger today. I figured you guys up to something no good. I'd prefer not to deal with you, Bill, to be honest with you. I need to go crazy. I'm handicapped. You know what we're All right, Bill. I look so sexy. Wow. What's up? Come on. I said sexy. Wow. Come on. I can't get my foot off of one of the damn seats. You got a kind of midgets back here. Yeah. Sorry, Bill. Where's the dog? It's back there. You don't see it? It's invisible. >> [snorts] >> 85 years old. 83. 85. 1940. That's enough. God bless him. Straighten their belts, open that. We don't run into them very many 80-year-olds that go to jail. Um I don't know if I've ever arrested an 80-year-old, and if I have, it it was a long time ago. Uh a couple years ago, I had a lady in her 70s that was just drunk as a skunk. Um and she got stuck in a big mud puddle and yeah, we we handled that and processed her appropriately for DUI. Um but yeah, you get some people in their 60s that are still, you know, still doing stuff, committing assault, and you know, domestic violence, and stuff like that. It doesn't happen very often. So, you you start talking about this guy in his 80s, he's a I guarantee that's probably not the first time he's been in the back of a police car. Let's just put it that way. So, it's uh yeah, it it doesn't happen. And when it does, it's like, "Come on, Grandpa. Come on, sit in the back here like >> [laughter] >> we're going to take you to jail." So, it's uh it's always amusing. This suspect was charged with fleeing eluding, reckless driving, and felony assault on a police officer. He is innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. >> [sighs] >> Nothing. Nothing. Nothing here. Bill was a negative on body cam, bingo. So, but the video is great. So, I'm totally okay that I didn't get a body worn cam video. Um so, what we need to do? Merchandise right here. Shirts like this, hats like this. Um these you can't get on my website. You have to go to Midwest Safety. But I do have these. I do have cups. And we've got two different kinds. If you want to drink out of a cup like I do, right up there, go to merch, check it out, order whatever you want. I'll pack it and send it to you.
