You should have got a different job. All you're doing is speaking ignorance. All I'm doing and I just got almost run over by her and you are coming at me like I Where were you when she showed up? Where were you when she was in my house? You should have stayed in your house and you would have been in danger getting run over by a car. Why? This is [Music] like All righty. The video for today highlights a lot of really interesting things from a law enforcement officer's perspective and a lot of things that frustrate us as police officers. Uh the first thing that I want to point out about this particular video is this is one of those situations where the person that should have been the victim actually became the suspect because they came out of their house and attacked the person that showed up. Uh if you're in your house and somebody comes to your house and is yelling at you, calling you names, calling you a pedophile and stuff like that, just stay in your house, call the police, we'll come and make that person leave. We can give you paperwork to get them trespassed. We can get you a protection order. A lot of those sorts of things. If you come out of your house like these people did, draw a gun on that person, then start throwing rocks at their car, damage their car, bust out their windows and things, it puts us in a situation where we now have to treat the person that should be the victim like a suspect because they're the actual ones that committed a crime in this scenario. Uh the the video that you're going to watch today is going to be a little bit complicated. So, I want to give it a proper introduction. There were five 911 calls made about this particular incident and it all started because the woman that you should be looking at here next to her piece of crap broken down car uh she has a couple kids that haven't been returning home. So she reported them missing. She believes that they are at the house of our victim and she came by to yell at the victim, call the victim names and de demand that her children come out. Uh while she was doing that, I think I already talked about it. They came out, bust out our windows, and had a gun. Due to all those, we got calls saying there's a person with a gun threatening somebody and multiple calls saying that they heard gunshots when Hello, I got two outside of my car, busting my windows out as I speak in front of their house, and I got it all on video. Yeah. And his son had a gun. Um, dear and Sullivan, uh, there's a domestic. We think we just heard a gun go off. for zip code. There's people outside throwing rocks to their car. The blue Nissan Sentra or an Ultima and the certainly driving around in circles on the road trying to run over them. Um there's um these are our neighbors. There's a fight breaking out. They're screaming, throwing rocks at a car. The car keeps driving around. I don't really know what else is happening, but there's a lot of screaming. There's a car is Sullivan and you're one uh block north. There is a domestic and we called like five minutes ago. He's still yelling, "Get down on the floor." And we have heard either blast or a gunshot. Okay, ma'am. They've been driving out there since I got talked to you the very first time. They're on the way. They're coming as quickly as they can. We arrived on scene. Absolutely nobody was being reasonable, making our job almost impossible to do. Uh the next thing you'll see is a little bit of uh deescalation techniques. You'll also notice that the officer whose body camera you're watching for the most part is going to be me. My favorite deescalation technique for this kind of scenario is just the cold stare. I simply let people yell at me and I stare at them until they apologize. And that's actually what you're going to see in this video. So, I'm going to go ahead and get out of the way. Sorry I spent too so much time in the introduction here. Enjoy the video. I'll talk to you later. I just got it. Yeah. So, it's all right. I'll take it. She showed up over here. She's my She lost the kids. We fes. Then I go on the street overcustody. I'm fighting. They are lost their state but we only came in the yard and hit him with the car in the yard. We didn't point it at anyone or anything put up. It is my register for my stuff. I'm allowed to have the problem. You see this truck if you're here from gun when she attacked us. Should we have just killed her? Have you come into my home? You dumb ass [ __ ] She's literally yelling over here while he washes. Oh my god. Can you tell him to go through why am I yelling in front of you? Like why am I not allowed to yell around you guys? Is there She's yelling at me first, right? And at my home attacking me in front of my kids, right? Please tell me y'all would stay calm if someone came out and hit your wife with a car. Look at those tire tracks. out with the gun. She hit my [ __ ] husband with our car. She hit us at our home. He saw everything inside. He saw everything about the gun to be honest. She was on the internet talking [ __ ] about me saying I'm a pedophile because I'm fighting for her son. She said I'm a pedophile, but she wouldn't let them have their side of my league. Go ahead. Go ahead. She called me a pedophile for buying clothes for kids. I'm fighting for it. This [ __ ] don't even got her. Isn't this a stand your ground state? And your job is to protect the law. This is my home. Tire track. She hit him with her car. You're You're confusing a lot of things and you need to stop. They need the phone and text me. You're confusing the fact that the problem isn't me yelling. The problem is she drove all the way over here to do all of this. Nobody's disputing that. The problem is we can't talk to each other. We can't sort this out when you're because I'm yelling. Oh my god. Police need different training so bad. You guys' job is literally to go into hectic situations and the worst part is you're so worried about yelling. The best thing that we can make sure all of your your body cams are on. They're on. Please. They're on. Please, please, please. Cuz I worked for the attorney general's office. My mentor from 16 to 25 was a state prosecutor. Please tell me what I do or don't know. Let's go. You don't know much. Okay, that's fine. That high school diploma experience position, right? My position requires a bachelor's. I have a bachelor. Congratulations. Congratulations. You should have got a different job. All you're doing is speaking to your ass. All I'm doing is I just got almost run over by her and you are coming at me like I Where were you when she showed up? Where were you when she was in my house? You should have stayed in your house and you would have been in danger getting run over by a car. Why? This is like the She should have stayed in her house. She is attacking me every single day. This is my first time defending myself. I don't want him yelling at her. Hurry up. Don't worry about it, babe. I'll calm down. I'll calm down. Okay. I watched the video. Okay. So, when she drove up and started throwing stuff on her phone cuz she already did this. Okay. She already tried to hit us both. She got the whole video on her phone. She got the whole video on her phone. Yeah. We didn't start tape till later. So, I think she tried to hit me with her [ __ ] car. there. Now she want to call the police cuz you came over here for what? To do what? No, she can't. She can't. He came home. Actually, she get my phone. Go get my phone. Sorry. I'm going to show you. I'm going to show you. They told me he came home. See, when we come to scenes like this, everyone's screaming at us. It's worth taking. But y'all literally got to start trying to understand that we are the ones being attacked. Even if it doesn't, you know what I'm saying? Thank you. That's all. We come in and everyone's screaming at us. We can't do our job. I could I literally have a job where it doesn't matter how people talk to me. I still got to do it. Did you call us over here for help? No. No, I did not. She did. She did. She came over here and attacked us and then called y'all. She did this to [ __ ] get us put in jail because we're fighting for her kids. Can you send one? Can you guys switch up? Cuz he just got a whole attitude the whole time he's standing here and we can't talk to him. It's okay. Just leave him alone, babe. Who knows what's going on in his life? Yeah. No, I haven't done anything. Who's going to take code one? Cuz it's red. All right. What's your name? Make sure Anthony's okay. What is a code one? Is that something else? It's a report. Okay. Sorry. I'm just trying to figure out what's going on cuz I do have my kids here, you know. I'm sorry for being rude. My heart was my heart beat or heart rate was up. I feel better now that and I feel stupid. So, I'm sorry. I think 194 sometimes people just need a little bit of understanding. But I'm sure from y'all's point of view, you've given people understanding and it was not like I don't what I just like I haven't just woke up but I didn't even get out of bed. This is my day to relax. You know, I work every day and I have five kids and I've been dealing with this since February 7th since she said that I could have them. And then she woke up the next day like tripping. But that's what drugs do to me. You know, I know you know that to the court. So, I'm not the one taking the report. He is cuz he talked to everybody. I I'm really sorry. You know how to go down the crosshair's office, right? Protection orders is the best thing for you. Thank you. And I am still so sorry. She can't come by or anything like that. So, I got to go down to town to do that. Yeah, I know how to do it. I I've done all that stuff. I worked for the office. I was She can't come to your house near your house. Had to go do all the paperwork in the future. She's coming to your house. You think she's coming to your house? Mom, do not hug her and stay inside. Mom, she's literally saying word my brother's dead. My brother never drank alcohol before he met her. I you. But I don't want my mom to hug her. My mom is being nice to her right now. We're too nice to her to get things you can't control. Okay. You're right. Um if you stay in and she come out again and let her bust out a car window, we can I got full coverage all the way till August. Mine is paid up. It makes it way more difficult when you come out here. You know what I mean? Um, it's harder to justify anyone's actions when you don't stand your ground is stayed in your house or if you're if you're at the at the gas station. Okay. Oh, in our car. You know, if you're if you're away from your home and she approaches you, you can stand your ground. Okay. If she comes to your house and you come out, that's no longer standing your ground. Okay? See, cuz it changed. That's where I got confused. You're putting yourself in a chip bag. Cuz if it came down to she you had the gun and she hit you and you shot and killed her. Yeah. I I would not want to have to figure that out. Exactly. You're right. That is 100% true. And it's about what can be proven, too. You're right. So, I was just upset. That guy talked to everybody. He has all the information. He's going to take the report. If she comes back before you're able to get a protection order, let us know. Okay. All right. Um, let all the Facebook drama go. Yeah, I literally Today's the first day I've responded. It's the first. It is weird. And I shouldn't have, but it's so hard. Like, my brother was my brother out of everybody in my family. Like, he was 5 years older than me. He started like taking care of himself about 12 years old. So, that means I was seven, you know. So, he brought me food. He brought me my presents. We had no dad. Like, our dad passed when I was 17 while he was in prison. while my brother was. He didn't even get to see his grave or anything. So, it's like we went through a lot together, you know, and she knows that. That's the only reason why she's bringing my brother up. Don't let people push your buttons. I know. Just like you sat here and tried to make fun of me for having high school diploma. Didn't push my buttons, did I? No. Okay. So, just remember that. Show that you are Do treat her the way I treated you. Okay. All right. I'm about to pee my pants. I'm going to leave. Sorry. Take it easy, guys. You guys good? [Music]
