[Music] Oh, what a disaster this was. Look at this. Oh, there's me with some bolt cutters. I've got a pair of bolt cutters. I don't carry them with me. Um, I don't actually remember if they came from the fire department or if they came from that tow truck that was there, but somehow I got a pair of bolt cutters. um this protester um who apparently it's her favorite hobby to be arrested um at stuff like this. Uh she had used a a Ubolt that you would use a uh to lock a bike to a pole and had put it around her neck and then around uh the door frame of an open window in that vehicle. So she's standing there and she's got this Ubolt around her neck. So we had to cut that without hurting her in order to book her into jail. So that's exactly what I did. My family lives in this town and you guys are blocking my family and my kids from getting to my No, no, no. But you see, bro, and there's the protester getting cut free. It's my old sergeant. I love that guy. This is in 2016. Uh this is during the time that Trump was running for for president. And this is in Fountain Hills. It's actually on Shea Boulevard, which is uh a main thoroughfare between the city of Scottsdale and the town of Fountain Hills or the city of Fountain Hills. Um we had no idea any of this was going to happen. We knew there was going to be a Trump rally. Um we were allocating resources there to Fountain Hills and all of a sudden this comes up. Um I just at the time I was a a sergeant assigned to the lake patrol division. I had absolutely nothing to do with this. Um, I was actually on my way to work at the lake and just happened to be driving by um on the freeway, which was only a couple miles away, and I got redirected to this. And I get there, and this is what I find. This absolute kurluffle of people and vehicles and just craziness, people with banners and beating drums and screaming and yelling. And look at how stoic she looks. Look at that. Being being interviewed while being taken into custody. Look at all that virtue signaling. Look at how stoic she looks. Just stonefaced. I always try when given the opportunity to be at least somewhat respectful. Um during this she's, you know, forcing me to cut her. Now, of course, I'm sure she would sue the agency if I hurt her at all. Um, even though she put herself in that position. Um, but so she was unheard. She was fairly cordial. I mean, she didn't fight me at all. She, you know, when I told her to walk, she walked. I told her to get in, she got in. So, I thanked her for being cordial because I feel like that's the it's the proper thing to do in a civilized society where we try to live. Um, unlike these heathens who are not civilized at all, but she was at least she was kind. Um, even though dumb but kind. [Applause] hot for a protester. When this random bystander involved here is like, "Hey, she's pretty hot for a protester." Like, I can't disagree with that person and I obviously have eyes that function. I can't, you know, he wasn't wrong. So, at least, you know, I could I could be have some fun in this time of uh crazy stress and in a very fluid and and everchanging environment that we were in there on the side of the road. It was uh still pretty fun. [Applause] There we go. She just goes in there just her favorite hobby. Excuse me. Excuse me. Stupid people banging drums. Excuse me. Pardon me. Someone open that thing. Second compartment. Excuse me, sir. Right in here, sir. Watch your hand. Sure do appreciate that. Free service. This video came from Kronhite News, which is the the news channel of the Kronhite School of Journalism, which is hosted by Arizona State University. So, it's here. It's in Tempe. And um I had no idea that this was being filmed and the reach that this video and this this whole you know protest I had no idea how far it would spread.
