on march 25th 2022 at approximately 12
46 pm
officers with the columbus division of
police were responding to a shot spotter
call in the area of
34 south warren avenue
while on route to that call
the dispatch center received multiple
calls of two men fighting and one man
discharging a firearm at the other
um some some guy be trying to shoot
another guy right here and are back out
right he had it almost in my in my yard
and he took off down the alley
we have other calls did you get a good
description of him he is a black guy
with a yellow um looks like a rain
jacket kind of uh just a jacket
blue jeans
the callers were able to describe the
man with a gun as a younger male black
wearing a yellow shirt carrying a black
handgun
the callers stated that man fled on foot
officers responding to the area were
able to locate the suspect
and his firearm
there's this little there's a black boy
over here in the back alley right on the
next one hogs and he's going that way
just said he shot somebody cut through
my yard he's got a [ __ ] yellow hoodie
on or something
unfortunately they were unable to locate
the person he was allegedly firing at
due to this circumstance
the person who was arrested in
possession of a firearm who had fled
from officers
was only charged with misdemeanor
discharge of a firearm in the city
limits
with all that being said i hope you
enjoyed this video

how to react to this my brother i'm
still in trauma for my brother he passed
i understand my mother just passed three

we put them all kind of wacky there
you have to bend over a little bit
no no sorry
i'm just glad we didn't shoot you bud
so well you came out you could have got
shot i was prepared
well you had a gun on you so that's a
problem no i would i don't i don't want
my good
that's much better
detective
i was trying to buy some weed at the
store
bro bro took me to the back of the alley
and he tried to take me up top for my
hundred dollars
i had a gun but i didn't have no
clipping it was just only one in the
head
but it ended up going off because he was
fighting for the money and he was
fighting for the gun
and i'm like bro can i just i'm not even
saying bro i wasn't even thinking for
real for i'm just trying to get out of
the situation
and
i'm luckily didn't nobody get hurt for
real because
yeah
but yeah that would be that would have
been it
even though somebody's doing harm or
trying to take something i didn't want
nobody to get hurt because it would have
been
like
bad on me
and or bad on him
right right
well i appreciate you telling me that
that'll help so let me let me give you
technical call okay
give me a second
hey so he just spontaneously uttered
that he did he shot
i asked him zero and he's like what's
happening and i said well i get called
detective he says well i'll be honest
with you man i i i wanted to buy weed at
the store
and i had a gun on me
i didn't have no clip
there was one in the one in the head he
said
he said the guy the guy took me in the
alley and was fighting me from a hundred
dollars
and the gun went off
and i won't get nobody hurt but i shot
all right
good looking out good looking out but uh
so
yeah it's interesting you said that the
gun doesn't match the color so obviously
there was
another guy had a gun
okay
oh god
oh yeah i i heard that marnie
five-faction going over there all right
so let me call gun crimes real quick and
give an update what's going on
yeah
yeah yeah it's on camera and everything
now
uh he's got ag menacing arrested last
year
but i don't have anything on him yet so
i don't know
all right
okay i'll holler at you
it's castleberry
you've been convicted of a felon felony
or anything oh no no because you've got
ag menacing on here and domestic
violence
domestic violence got uh dropped
and the activities
[Music]
all right that's what's saving your life
today
but you are going to jail okay
you're going to jail for uh
discharging in the city limits which is
illegal then we'll move on from there
yeah it's an m one
[Music]
you
