Who is this guy? >> I really just met him like 2 days ago. >> You're safe, okay? You're fine. You You easily could have died tonight, okay? So, but you're >> Tinder dates, for the most part, end amazingly well. But, there are a few times when they don't go as planned. >> Who showed up? >> My husband. >> What's your husband's name? >> Joshua Kelly. >> Huh? >> And here are some of these instances when Tinder dates take a disturbing turn. Starting with the case of this guy who decided to go on a high-speed race to elude police officers while carrying his Tinder date behind him. >> Okay, okay, okay, okay. GET OFF. GET OFF. GET OFF. >> IT'S MY TINDER DATE. >> Tinder date? And you end up in a more from your Tinder date cuz he's driving 130 running >> On the 28th of August, 2021, police officers tried to initiate a traffic stop on a motorcycle that had no visible tags. However, rather than obey lawful instructions, the rider, despite carrying a female passenger, decided to take the cops on a high-speed risky chase. >> Okay, okay, okay, okay. GET OFF. GET OFF. GET OFF. >> HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. >> YES, SIR. >> You didn't kill yourself or anybody else. It's a cute tag. You do it out of fun or just cuz you ride like an [ __ ] You're going to kill somebody. It's lucky he didn't kill himself. Anything else on you I'm missing? >> No. No. >> Go ahead. Go through. Go ahead. >> Thank you, guys. >> Anything else I'm missing on you? >> No. >> No. >> All right, go ahead and take a seat. You're under arrest for fleeing and eluding and reckless driving, all right? >> Yes, sir. >> Having detained the crazy rider, the cops then began to pay attention to his female passenger, whose life had just flashed before her very eyes. A casual Tinder date had escalated to a terrifying ordeal because her date thought it was a smart idea to recklessly evade officers and have them chase him at over 100 miles per hour. >> Is that your boyfriend? >> It's my Tinder date. >> Your Tinder date? >> It's your Tinder date? >> It's going to look good when you end up in a morgue from your Tinder date cuz he's driving 130 running. >> Hey, listen, I understand that your Tinder date, but you were just involved in something very serious. So, you're going to go in the back of this cop car for a little bit, okay? Do you have anything on you at all? No? Just tell us now if you have something, okay? All right. Ma'am, do you have anything on you? >> No, I don't have anything. >> No weapons? No nothing? >> No, it's just my phone and my credit card and on my credit card, my debit card, and my license. >> your phone? >> It's in his bag. >> It's in his bag, okay. I'm just going to lift your shirt up just to make sure that you don't have anything on you, okay? Just turn this way. Nothing in your bra or anything? >> No, you can You can lift it up if you want to. >> ma'am. Here's the deal. Calm down, all right? Who is this guy to you? >> I really just met him like 2 days ago. We're going to take you out of the car right now, but we're going to sit you back here, okay? So, just just chill out, all right? You got it. Just take her out of the car. But, we're going to We're just going to detain you right now in the back of the car just so that we can figure out what's going on. I know you're probably really scared right now, okay? But, just give me a minute. Just try to take a couple deep breaths and calm down. Are you injured at all? You're not injured at all. Okay, so do you need the fire department? Fire department? at all? Okay. All right. Do me a favor, just have a seat back here. You okay? Okay. Well, listen, you're safe, okay? You're fine. You You easily could have died. Okay? So, but you're But you're safe right now, okay? So, just Just take a couple deep breaths. Just calm down. >> As things unfolded, it became necessary for the cops to try and find out more details about the incident from her. It was then that the cops began to understand how weird her date was. >> What happened in your perspective? >> Uh I swiped right on Tinder. We talked. >> So, that was said a couple days ago? >> Technically, like yesterday. Today is Technically, today is today. >> What did you guys go do today? >> We went to Clearwater Beach. >> Like where at on Clearwater Beach did you go? >> Brunch. Drinks. We sat on the edge. We had like a genuine like time and everything like that. I thought it was going wonderful. >> What are you saying as he's going through traffic at 100 miles an hour leaving in that car? >> Anxiety attack. >> So, you're just freaking out at the time? Did you say anything to him or >> Like, I'm just chill. Like, slow down. Like >> What did he say? He didn't say nothing to you the whole time? He didn't say we're going to get away. He didn't say nothing. Do you know him to be somebody that commits a lot of crimes or anything >> No. >> You just met him? >> Yeah. >> And he didn't say anything to you at all that he was wanted or he was anything >> Is he wanted? >> I don't know. Is he? >> No, I don't think so. I hope not. >> Did you notice that his his tag on his motorcycle was bent like that? >> Yes. >> Just to let you in on a secret for us. If you see a tag like that, it means they run from the cops. Okay. So, that the original reason why we stopped him. And then he ran the red light and then he took off. And he does this all the time, I'm sure. So that's just a little information for you. If you see a tag like that, it's not a good guy. Right. Cuz he >> The distressed young woman was released while the rider was charged with attempting to evade police. Speaking of Tinder dates taking a disturbing turn, you should see the case of this young lady whose Tinder date turned out to be a wanted man who fled the cops with her car keys still in his vehicle. >> What's his name? >> I don't know. We were just on a date. My keys are in his in in the truck. My car keys are in his truck. >> Okay. >> Get on the [ __ ] ground. Get on your face. Get on your face right now. Put your hands behind your back. >> On the 4th of April, 2022, police officers on patrol duty observed a vehicle with illegal tints and tried to initiate a traffic stop. But the driver, rather than pull over, decided that it was best to flee. He was carrying a passenger who turned out to be someone he'd met on Tinder. And to the young lady, a day which was going quite well had just turned from good to horrible in the blink of an eye. Upon noticing that the cops were on his trail, he dropped his date by the side of the road. >> What's his name? >> I don't know. We were just on a date. My keys are in his in in the truck. My car keys are in his truck. >> Okay. >> 2021 silver Hyundai registered at Ormond. >> Is it You don't know his name at all? >> No, I don't. >> You don't know his name or his DoB or nothing? Do you have his number? >> No. >> How did you get a hold of him? >> Um >> How did he pick you up? >> I drove. I drove my car here. >> Whose car is that? >> I don't know. I guess that's his I'm not sure. I drove my car. >> Okay. >> I parked my car at the restaurant, but he has my keys. >> And was it north on White? >> Okay, so then he what? He just kicked you out of the car? >> I told him to stop and drop me off. >> Okay. And that's when he started fleeing from us. >> Yes, but I need my >> Who's down on North? >> Okay. Well, can you get a hold of him? >> No, I can't. He threw all of his stuff. >> Not blacked out >> My stuff is in the car. >> Come on. You You a phone. You you you got a hold of this guy somehow. know what to >> to get involved. I don't >> I don't I know you don't want to be involved, but your stuff's in there. You going to complain about your stuff or are you going to help us out to get your stuff out? >> I don't want to get involved. I don't know him like that. I don't want to get myself involved. >> He's driving normal. >> Other officers continued to chase the young man who eventually crashed into an apartment complex. But being caught didn't mean that he was willing to make things easier for everyone involved. >> Hey, get on the ground. Get on your face. Get on your face right now. Put your hands behind your back. >> This one down. >> He's good. He's good. He's good. >> I'm down. >> He's good. Hey, don't. Come on, man. Let me put your handcuffs on. >> I'm down. >> All right. I know. All right. You got any any weapons? You got any Don't be reaching for that. >> I'm not. I'm in handcuffs. >> Any guns or knives or anything? Needles? >> I ain't got nothing. >> All right. >> I don't have nothing. >> All right. This is tight. Anything in your waistband? >> I got nothing. >> All right. You can sit up on this curb. You got a driver's license? >> No, sir. >> All right. Damn, I got my knuckles. [ __ ] >> Just tell me, sir. >> Just what? >> Can I go? >> No, man. You good? Is All right. Well, let me know if you want to get any medical attention or not. >> I need I can't Sir. >> What's up, dude? >> I can't breathe. >> Okay. You want to get checked out by rescue? Is that what you want? >> Yes, sir. Please, sir. >> 3A 14 Central. Okay. do you want to stay like that or you want me to roll you onto your side? >> I'm sorry, okay. >> Whatever will make you more comfortable. >> Sir. >> You're still going to go to jail, just so you know. >> matter, sir. >> Don't be reaching for nothing. >> I ain't reaching for nothing, sir. >> All right. What's your last name? >> Turner. I don't >> What? >> I don't know. >> What's your last name? I'm just I'm going to go with Do you have Do you have your driver's license on you? >> I don't got no driver's license on me. >> All right. >> It's Richard. >> What's your first name? >> Shamar. >> Spell it. >> S H A M A R. Hey. >> All right, Shamar, what's your middle name? Shamar, what's your middle name? >> The name he had given the cops was fictitious, and the cops soon discovered the reason he was trying so hard to evade them. Upon finding out his real name, they discovered that he had four outstanding warrants and a $70,000 bond. He was eventually charged with operating a vehicle with a suspended driver's license, fleeing or attempting to elude, and possession of cocaine. Next, we go to the case of this young lady who ended up getting arrested for drugs after a romantic night out with a Tinder date. >> My view >> If you start arguing in an official capacity >> I can tell you that's not true. You have no reason What's your PROBABLE CAUSE? >> THAT'S MY STUFF. >> OPEN THE CAR. >> That's not mine. >> Actually, you can get more charges. >> On the 30th of May, 2023, police officers on routine patrol duty observed a vehicle with a missing tail light and pulled it over. In the vehicle was a couple who were just on their way back from their first romantic night out after several months of knowing each other on Tinder. However, upon interacting with them, the cops began to notice how nervous they both were. It was at that moment that a romantic Tinder date began to take a whole different dimension. >> How you doing? >> Okay, it's the tail light. >> Hey, I'm definitely you. And the reason I'm pulling you over is because you only got one tail light working right now, okay? >> Yes, sir. >> All right. Can I get your license, registration, proof of insurance? Is that the puppy back there? >> Yes. >> Okay. Any weapons in the car that you know about? I'm sorry, I didn't hear you. >> No, sir. >> Okay. Where you coming from? >> Picking me up and we going to feed in the room. >> Okay. You have an ID on you, sir? >> Uh I probably I don't know if I might have might I might might >> You have anything else your name on like a card or something? Like a debit card or something like that? >> I do have my ID. I just It was loose earlier. >> Okay. >> And uh >> Step out for me. Calm down, sir. Hey, calm down. Calm down. Calm down. Step out for me. Face that way for >> This one? >> Face that way. Just relax. >> Relax, man. >> Relax. >> Put your cell phone in your pocket. >> They're warm in your wrist. Come here. >> Yes, sir. >> I'm sorry. I'm going to pay that tomorrow. >> I know you have a choice today. >> Today? >> You have a choice though. The judge put a warrant out on you. >> Sir, if I don't if I don't go pay that tomorrow, I'll turn myself in myself. >> You know how many times we heard that, right? >> No, sir. I don't know how many times, but this You see where I'm at? >> I see where you at. >> I will be I will be >> I got you. >> downtown. >> I got you. >> I can't I can't get nobody >> I got to take you. >> Okay. >> Uh go go go go. >> Uh take him take him to my mom. Uh yeah, take him to your aunt. >> Please, sir. Do me a favor Do me a favor, ma'am. Do me a favor. Roll your windows up and step out and call for me, okay? I don't want the dog to jump out, so roll your windows up for me. >> Hey. Yeah, I'm going to explain everything to you. Step out and explain everything to you. Whoop, dropped your lighter. There you go. Shut your door for me real quick. All right, step over here to the front of the car. Let me explain everything to you. >> You try to have like a really nice I'm not really >> I got you. >> From experience, the cops knew that people only panic when they have something to hide. For the young lady, she tried to maintain perfect composure thinking that she could sway the cops for at least until a canine became her worst nightmare. >> Get out of the car as I'm having a narcotics detection here and I'm going to run my dog around your car as part of this traffic stop. He's requested me to do that. So I had you roll the windows up so that the dogs don't interfere with each other. Lieben. Lieben. Come here. Lieben. Got it. Four have one. >> 10:15 at 3:42. >> Yes. Command. Load. All right, so I'm not saying there's anything in there right now. Let me tell you the way this works, okay? When the dog alerts on anybody that's using narcotics in that vehicle or had narcotics in that vehicle. >> Nobody. >> So I'm going to search the car there's not going to be shake, there's not going to be >> You're not searching my car. >> I am searching your car. My dog alerted on the car. Probable cause to search the car. So >> No, he did not. >> Okay, I'm not going to argue with you. That's right. >> Sir, you cannot search my vehicle. >> If you start arguing and interfering you're going to >> I can tell you you cannot search my vehicle. You have no What's your probable cause? >> My dog alerted. >> No, he didn't. >> Yeah, he did. >> No, he didn't. >> Are you a canine unit? >> Stop, stop, all right, all right, hey, Bailey. Here's the thing. >> So, you know the difference between >> You know, I'm not even going to argue. You're not a canine unit. >> You're not searching my vehicle. >> Can you get your dog Stop, stop, stop. Can you get your dog out of the car for me? Yes, no, maybe, why not? >> Can I speak to your supervisor? >> Can you get the dog out of the car for me? >> I'll I'll after I speak to your supervisor. >> If you've struck Let me Let me Let me Let me explain one thing to you, ma'am. You are not in charge here, okay? Can you please get your dog out so I don't have to >> We're going to call animal control if you don't get your dog. >> I I don't want to hurt the dog. I have my own I don't want to hurt your dog. Can you please get the dog out for me? >> Can you grab some gloves? >> Sure. >> When your dog is done doing doggy stuff, Kev, can I please have you come back to my vehicle? >> Unfortunately, for her, a canine was seldom wrong. After a thorough search of her vehicle, the officers confirmed their suspicions. It was at that moment that things took a turn for the worse. >> Woah. What's your dog? Go ahead. >> I want to speak to your supervisor. >> All right. >> What are you >> Can you hold this dog for me real quick? >> Why are you grabbing me for? >> Cuz I'm about to put you in handcuffs. >> That's not my stuff. THAT'S NOT MY STUFF. >> OPEN THE CAR. >> THAT'S NOT MY STUFF. >> Can you get more charges added? >> That's not my stuff. >> Stop. >> That's not MY STUFF. THAT'S NOT MY >> STOP. WE'LL FIGURE IT ALL OUT. We have an narcotics investigation. We'll see what she says about it. >> That's not my stuff. >> 184. >> Why did I get Why did I get pulled over? >> We have one more unit 10-8. >> Yeah, 10-4, got a dog sniff alert. Dog sniff alert. >> 10-4. >> Hold on. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop. I'm trying to adjust your cuffs. Stop moving. Stop moving. >> He's trying to fix it. The more you move around >> Stop moving. Stop. Stop moving. Stop moving. >> Did you find anything in my [ __ ] No, it's the >> You're the driver of the car, it's your car. >> Does he stop? >> It's in your car. Possession's on him. >> How am I supposed TO KNOW WHAT HE HAS IN HIS STUFF? >> See what it says. Hopefully he says it's his. >> It's not mine. >> Have a seat. Have a seat for me. Turn. Turn. Move your feet. Oh my god. >> At this point, a date night with some random Tinder guy had landed her in more trouble than she had anticipated. However, she still had a thin line of redemption if her date admitted to his ownership of the drugs. >> So, where were y'all coming from again? >> Uh I don't know whose house it was, but it was all from Michigan. It was by this [ __ ] snake. >> Okay. Who was Who was ET? >> A friend of mine. >> Okay. >> More like a friend with benefits type thing. >> Okay. So, what in that car is yours? >> Just the white bag, and the makeup bag, and um the beach stuff. >> All right. Have you ever used narcotics before in the past? >> No, I don't. >> Okay, what did you >> Once ago, I mean I >> What did you use in the past? What did you use in the past? >> I smoked weed. >> Say anything else that you used in the past? >> Yeah, when I was a teenager. >> Well, what did you use as teenager? Okay. Anything else that you used? All right, do you do any pills? Okay, when you used to take how did you ingest it? >> Eat it. >> Eat it? That sounds nasty. Does he use any narcotics? >> Clearly, if you have found stuff >> I'm going to read you your rights, okay? I'm going to ask you some questions. You have the right to remain silent. With these rights in mind, do you wish to answer my questions, yes or no? You said no? Okay. So, I'm going to let you know what's going to happen, okay? I'm going to have a female come up here and come search you. All right. After that, both you and him are going to be charged. Okay? >> What? >> All right. >> you were going to get a provision from him that's not mine. >> I thought both of you already. >> Sir. >> All right. >> Sir. >> Hang tight. >> They were both charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substances. If you thought that was creepy, then you should see the case of 26-year-old Rico Trevone Dukes, a fake cop who showed up on a Tinder date in a police uniform claiming that he was involved in some kind of promotion. Sometime in April 2023 in Bernalillo, a police officer matched with and went on a date with a young deputy she met on Tinder. She had wrongly assumed that he was a deputy based on the photos on his Tinder profile. The young man was later identified as Rico Dukes, who had some criminal history and was reported to have posed as Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputy on his Tinder profile with several photos to back his claim. However, it was when he began to go on multiple dates posing as a law enforcement officer that it became necessary for Bernalillo County Sheriff's Deputies to put an end to his menace. A warrant was obtained and on the 24th of April 2023, the deputies apprehended Dukes who happened to be fully clothed as law enforcement and carrying a loaded firearm. >> Keep your hands up. Follow my commands. Step out slowly. Keeping your hand up. Close your door and walk towards me. If you reach for that gun, you will be shot. Keep your hands up. Keep them up higher, man. Stop. Do not reach for that firearm. Don't reach for it. And be else in the car? I'll let out. Come back this way. Walk backwards. Shift to your left, man. >> I'll explain everything in a minute. >> However, arresting Duke, although a step at curbing the menace, was just a side of a coin. The officers still needed to find out the real reasons for his actions. But, with someone who had an extensive criminal history and wasn't new to police interrogations, getting him to talk was probably going to be easier said than done. >> Tell me a little bit about what's going on today. >> I don't know. >> You don't know? Okay. Um Can you tell me why you're in a Bernalillo County Sheriff's Department uniform? You bought it from Kaufman's? Tell me about that. When did you buy it? How long? 7 months ago? Do you know like what month it was? Why did you get the uniform? What do you mean promotional specialty? Okay. Okay. So, to promote BCSO? And do you work for the Sheriff's Department? And how do you promote BCSO? >> Like videos. >> Videos and stuff? What kind of videos do you take? >> Just like filming BCSO. I get like pictures of things and stuff. >> Okay. Have you taken a lot of videos and stuff? >> I'm just starting and stuff now. >> Oh, you're just starting? Have you taken any yet? >> And then um So, you haven't taken any of these videos yet. What What made you want to start doing these videos? >> Um I work with my family. >> And they just want I have a two cousins that work for the Sheriff's Department in South Carolina. They both showed up. It was always been an interest in this situation. >> Okay. And what are your cousins' names? >> Um my dad's brother and my mom's dad's brother. They're both retired. >> Okay. Do you know what department they work for? >> Um originally Camden. >> Although he was trying his best to convince the cops that his actions didn't have any sinister motives and were simply just for fun, something wasn't adding up. His mannerisms were giving him away. His evasive responses to questions strongly suggested he was lying to the police officers. >> With the wearing of the uniform, um how did you get the idea to start doing these promotional videos you're talking about? >> idea, you know. >> Random idea? >> Yeah. >> Um and when you went into Constables, did you have to show any identification that you worked for the Sheriff's Department? >> ask me. When I told them I didn't have any, I was doing some stuff, promotional videos for these things. >> Okay. And they were okay just selling it to you without any identification? >> So, do you know it's a crime to impersonate a law enforcement officer? >> Right. Oh. >> So, wearing the uniform, uh tell me about your mindset with that. >> I didn't think too much about that. >> You didn't? Okay. >> thinking that. >> What were you thinking? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Um and what about the the gun on your hip and stuff then? >> That was That was my personal gun. >> That's your personal gun? Okay. Um where did you buy that? >> I bought that from I'd say ABQ Guns or course. >> Do you know when you bought it? >> I'd say in March. >> Beginning of March this year? >> Yeah. >> And is that the only firearm you own? >> Since he wasn't giving the cops any plausible explanation, they decided to bring his attention to the many Tinder dates he had with several women disguised as an officer. >> I know you There's a lot of stuff I know, um and I I want to ask you about and depending on how honest you are with me, I know I can gauge your truthfulness. So, I I know about your Tinder profile. Um tell me about posting all those pictures. >> Just the ones I posted. >> Are they all of you? >> Yes, they're all of me. >> All of you in your uniform? >> Yes. >> Um, and that's this uniform here. Do you have any other uniforms at the house? Just this one? >> Just your uniform. >> And so, and this one goes Is this your profile? >> Yes. >> And you go by Treshawn on here? Tell me about that name. >> Middle name. >> That's your middle name? Okay. And so, this is you, right? Okay. Um, this picture here, who do you think this is? >> One random one that I just saw. >> One you just randomly saw? >> Yeah. It was going to be for the videos. >> Okay. Um, where were you at when you bought the chain? >> Um, I was on the east side outside of Wanto Go. >> And where on the east side of Wanto Go? Where was it at? >> It was a neighborhood of Wanto Go. >> And this one, this you? You? Um, and I think it's the same shirt as hat. >> Okay. >> And this is the same gun that you were wearing today? >> Yes. >> And then this one, this too as well? >> Wearing a police uniform was one creepy way to give anyone a sense of safety and make them drop their guard. This was dangerous to anyone. Finding out his real motive would mean that the officers had cracked this case. Unfortunately, having a criminal record meant that Dukes wasn't new to these interrogations and was being careful not to step on a landmine. >> And so why did you post these pictures of you in uniform on Tinder? >> Um just for uh Um just for uh just to use it. >> Just to use it. Um And were you Were you saying that you were with these females in person? >> Yeah, I told you. >> You told me you were with them in person. Okay. Um And then how many people have you met up with in the uniform? >> Met up with? >> Yeah, from Tinder. >> From Tinder? None of them. >> You haven't met any >> of them. >> any of them Okay. Um >> At this point, just as the cops had been expecting, Dukes lied. Denying that he had gone on actual dates was a clear distortion of facts. There had been several reports to the cops and they were aware that he was on a date with a woman on the 20th of April 2023 while dressed as a police officer. >> Do you have any family, anybody um that you know that works for the Sheriff's Department? >> No. >> No. No. Um Cuz there's some information that we have that you know somebody on the department. In here. Do you have any family or any friends that work on the department? No. Um and so you don't know who owns that uh Tahoe that you took a picture of. And you don't remember what address it was at. >> No. It was just going to be for the most part a promotional deal. >> Okay. And where are you going to post these promotional videos? >> YouTube. >> YouTube? >> YouTube. >> Okay. Do you have a YouTube channel? >> I have a channel. So >> Okay. What kind of videos do you post? >> I haven't uploaded yet. >> Okay. >> Yeah, it's just I was just going to make a video, so >> Okay. And what's your YouTube video uh >> I just made it. I don't know if I can remember my email or find it, so >> Okay. What's your email? >> Go2Boos. >> Go2Boos. >> 4638. >> 4638. >> Yeah, it's @gmail.com. >> I forgot to ask, what's a good phone number for you we got you at? >> My >> And as far as going to the Monroes today, can you tell me about going there this morning? >> I was supposed to be meeting him. >> You were supposed to be >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Dukes eventually charged with impersonating a police officer and unauthorized use of a police uniform and badge. Agree that that Tinder date was absolutely crazy. It was nothing compared to the case of this young man and woman whose date was ruined after the woman's husband unexpectedly showed up. >> Who showed up? >> My husband. >> Okay. What's your husband's name? >> Josh Martin. >> Huh? >> On the 12th of November 2023, police officers were called to a dog park by a concerned citizen who witnessed a man and woman getting beaten by another man. The couple who met each other on Tinder had been using the park as a point of rendezvous to conceal their affair. This arrangement was working perfectly for them until the woman's spouse discovered them. The cops arrived at the scene to meet a battered and bruised young man who never for once thought that his little secret affair with his Tinder companion would turn into a dreadful ordeal. >> David 635, go ahead and send me 4355 and have them come west of the dog park. So, what happened? >> Someone ran down the hill. I was sitting here exercising and just >> 30-year-old male, uh multiple blows to the head, uh swelling on the side of the face. He is conscious and breathing. >> Just came down and jumped me and started hitting me in the head. >> Do you know him? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And from what I understand, this is his wife? >> Uh yeah. >> Yeah? Okay. So, you had any beef with him? Any issues? >> Uh there's been an ongoing issue, but nothing physical until now. >> Okay. You want to press charges? >> No. >> No? Okay. Well, we're going to have EMS >> Unless I'm really [ __ ] hurt. >> Well, I mean, you're you're pretty red and you got a lot of bumps and bruises around your head. >> And I think he took my car keys cuz I don't know It was in my pocket and I don't know where the hell it is now. >> Okay. Is it just the key? >> It's a black fob >> Okay. So, it's Yeah, it's probably >> It was like right here. And it was in my pocket and he either took it or kicked it or threw it. These people jumped over the fence to try to get it away. >> Um Which one's your vehicle? >> The white car. >> Okay. Let's go up to the vehicle so EMS can come check you out and then we'll finish the rest of this. Do you have your driver's license on you or is in your car? Okay. What I'll do is once I'm done talking with Stephanie, thank you. Um Yeah, we'll have you sit up by your car. I'll come up there as well and I'll have a chat with her as well. And then I'll see if I can walk around and see if I can find it. >> Yeah, we looked for a good 10 minutes and I don't see it. >> Okay. Did you lose consciousness at all? Did he just use his hands, feet? >> I think just his hands, yeah. >> Okay. Okay, Shawn, because you don't want to press charges, um what I'm going to do is I'm going to write an informational report on this. It's going to have you, it's going to have him, and it's going to have her. Um I'm What happened? >> charges. I I've only been in one fight in my entire life. I've never been hit. >> So, if you feel like this is an ongoing thing and it's just escalated to this, nine times out of 10, I can't even say that. Sometimes, it'll escalate even worse. Like, he may put you in the hospital. >> Since the altercation involved the wife of the suspect, it was necessary to interrogate his wife, but the cops were in for a big surprise as the assaulter was someone they least expected it to be. >> What's your name? >> Stephanie. >> S T E P H And who Who showed up? >> My husband. >> Okay. What's your husband's name? >> Josh Malachi. >> Huh? >> Josh Malachi. >> Josh as in EPD Josh? So, I'll ask you again, Shawn, do you want to press charges? I mean, it's totally up to you. If you don't feel safe if you feel like this is going to progress on to something, it's going to get written up anyway. And >> What does that mean? >> Um there's going to be a report made. And it's going to go I take it you know who your husband is. Yeah. So, it's going to go up through the department. >> right? >> Yeah. It's going to go up through the department and it's going to go to internal affairs because he still is an employee. But if you don't feel safe I mean, even after this, if something else happens call us back. Um I'm going to give you a case in a CAD number and you can reference it off off of that. But the decision is totally yours. >> No, that's fine. >> Okay. Um so, they're going to be here >> They'll be here by 9:00, they said. >> Okay. >> Hopefully sooner, they said in 45 minutes maximum. >> All right. >> Just get me in my car and then I can >> Is Stephanie going to take you up to your >> Uh I'm not sure. I got to My buddy said he'll come pick me up and and do it, the guy that I'm my roommate, so. >> Okay. >> Never mind. >> As things unfolded, the young man began to realize that he might have been in off a bit more than he could chew. It was now clearer to him why he shouldn't be on the bad side of a very jealous lover. >> back in a second to say, "Hey, can you come?" Cuz I don't know what she's going to do. I I just want her to be safe because he's he's not stable, obviously. Yeah. >> And you've never had any issues with him? >> Not she hasn't mentioned anything >> to you? What do you mean not physical? >> He's never hit me. >> Okay. >> He's been on I mean that time when he did his whatever he was going to try to fight me I'm pretty sure so. >> Oh, the incident? >> The incident, yeah. Yes, that's what she told me cuz she called me frantic on the phone saying he just left drunk in the car. He was looking for you. I'm like that wasn't the thing at the place I'm living now somewhere else but uh >> Okay. >> Cuz we've been having an affair months now and uh He knows about it and she just lies to him that's not happening and it's still happening and she won't leave cuz she's scared. But I'm just a nice guy. >> Okay. Well, I'll give you case number and CAD number on this. Um if anything else comes up you can reference the case number and it'll have all the information on it. Um I would highly suggest you get a civil restraining order. It it's it's really not going to be able to do much for us. All that's going to happen is if he contacts you, comes over by house, comes within 100 yards, that kind of stuff. Um you'll call an officer, officer will write a report, you'll take it to court and then you go before the judge. >> He violated my uh my civil restraining order by doing this. >> And then the judge will decide what's going to happen beyond that. >> Yeah. >> So all you'll do is take take the report but it's it's something that's going to protect you. I mean it's only a piece of paper, it's not bulletproof, it's not fist proof. >> Right, right. >> But it's going to semi protect you from anything that's going on. >> In the end the woman's husband never faced any repercussions for his actions.
