you know you got to uh the seat belt here you got to wear that that's meant to go in front of you not behind you a want to adjust it real quick he the ride is your mom well yeah you're not supposed to adjust it when you see the cops you're supposed to wear it all the time cuz it keeps you safe in case of a collision this very first traffic stop on episode 8 is guy stopped I stopped and ride on ganel on interstate ganel and the sticker in the middle of the back of his window says my other ride as your mom uh normally we try to block stuff like that out so remove all of those identifying features from cars that we stop but that was so funny um and part of a big inside joke within the Traffic Unit that I had to keep it so um it was it stayed on there and if he doesn't like it he's just going to have to grab a razor blade and take it off because that bumper sticker's awesome when I make that stop and I see someone who's unsecured and I've seen um so many terrible accidents um that wouldn't be so terrible if the driver was restrained the vast majority of the time I'm issuing that citation the vast majority of the time like 100% of Fire is 50 you're doing 74 soof Insurance that's pretty fast and you got to wear your seat belt man so you notice that on a lot of these stops I'm mentioning that people aren't wearing their seat belts there's agencies all over the country have a chief of police or a sheriff that's like make sure you wear your seat belt um we panel County doesn't do that we do Fridays with Frank um so we're out there and we're enforcing the laws and we're issuing citations for people that don't work seat belts click get her tickets a nationwide campaign um and I I've said it a ton of times on the road hey if you don't click it you get a ticket um and that was uh that was really embodied in this particular episode where I was issuing citations for every single person that I saw not wearing a seat belt you are 25 M hour over the posted speed limit in front of the police station literally right in front of the police station that's un where we live like we live right there hey why is your seat belt on yeah cuz you're holding it and I put in here yeah but that doesn't work no it has to be H like I'm holding it that's not the way that works yeah that doesn't work yeah it was it wasn't but that's not the way it was when I walked up open open the yeah I don't think so I'm not sure I think that works so I'm Deputy slope I work for the panal county sheriff's office Traffic Unit the reason I stopped you is that building right there is the police station and you are at uh 25 26 M hour over the speed limit in front of the police station 76 you're the second person that speeds right here like we live right there see my house from here I feel like speeding in front of the police station is a bad idea like you got to know that we're there like and at some point one of us is going to pull out onto the road and go hey that car's going really fast I should probably stop and have a talk with them which is literally exactly what we just did that was episode 8 lot of speed a lot of no seat belts um but episode 9 is the one that that is everyone's favorite episode 9 the blue Mustang kid that's the one that's coming up next so uh make sure you check out the next episode
