From having to deal with an abusive, stalking ex-girlfriend who believed that her relationship could only be over on her own terms. >> Did you get four for the water or for the water? >> Okay. >> I'm not No, I'm not doing this. This is ridiculous. >> Do you want to charge for resisting arrest? >> care if this >> Stop. >> And >> Resisting. >> insane. >> Dealing with a drama queen stalker who refused to leave her ex's property. >> Cuz we'll just go to the judge and say that this trespassing act will not stop hold her until her court date. >> I'm not doing anything. >> Here are several moments when obsessed creeps get caught stalking their exes. Starting with this woman, an obsessed cheating ex-girlfriend who learned the hard way that no amount of manipulation and stalking can rebuild broken trust. >> Why can't you? >> Cuz I love this man. He just keeps making a big deal over nothing. Okay, bro. And I'm listening and I'm not listening anymore. My ride is on her way. >> Well, I am your ride now. >> I was cheating. I told her, "Hey, I don't want to do this anymore. You need to just leave me alone." >> Yeah, you cheating, I heard. >> Well, what? >> On the 13th of August 2022 in the charming coastal town of Lantana, an officer was dispatched to the scene of a domestic disturbance after a man reported that his cheating girlfriend refused to leave his premises and asked that she be removed from his property. It sounded straightforward until officers arrived and the girlfriend made it clear that the relationship was not over, at least not for her. >> Okay, but you mind just stepping over here for me, please? >> Yeah. >> No. >> I'm walking off the scene. >> Ma'am, ma'am, ma'am, listen. Resisting arrest. Could you please just step over there by my car? >> I can't. >> Why can't you? >> Cuz I love this man. He just keeps making a big deal over nothing. >> Okay, well, listen. Number one, you I'm telling you I'm giving you a lawful order right now. If you don't comply, you're going to be obstructing in my investigation. >> What investigation? >> I have to investigate why I'm here, right? I got called here. >> Investigate what? >> Make sure nobody got hurt. Nobody >> Nobody got hurt. >> I'm not asking you. I'm not asking you. I'm telling you now, stand over there. If you do not comply, you will be placed in handcuffs. I will take you under arrest for obstruction. >> For what? Just >> Obstruction. Move over there. Are you not going to comply with it? >> I will. >> Then go. Are you going to go? >> No, don't touch me. What are you going to do? You going to What are you going to do? >> Don't touch me. >> Then go. >> Okay, I'm going to >> Okay, I'm going to go. But I can literally just need to speak to him. >> Go. Do not resist. Do not >> Let me go. >> No. >> Okay, I hurt my body, let's go. LET'S GO. >> E94. >> OKAY. OKAY. >> Put your hands on the >> I have my rights. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Okay, can I get my phone from my pocket? >> No. Put your hands behind your back. Move over there. No. Move over there. All right. >> Bro, why you keep doing this? >> I need to let you just speak to him. Just let me >> Okay, calm down. Down. >> We're not done. Okay. And I'm going to get off. Stop. >> I didn't do anything, bro. >> I'm going to stop fighting him if he gets me out of the handcuffs. I can't be in handcuffs. >> Well, you should have listened. >> Okay, bro. And I'm listening. And I'm not resisting anymore. And my right is >> Well, I'm your ride now. >> Sir, please get my phone from under >> No. >> Sir, can I please get my phone from under your car? I'm getting my phone. That's it. That's it. I'm just getting my phone. That's it. >> Put your phone on my thing. You won't comply or I'm going to charge you with escape of prisoner. Put your phone >> I didn't. >> You did. >> They were loose on me, sir. >> Well, that doesn't mean you get out of them. >> Okay, and I'm specifically telling you >> I don't care. You are not in control. Understand this. That's why you're going to jail. >> Even with the situation going past the point of simple conversation, she still carried herself as if she were in charge with the same unsettling mindset that brought her back to the home of a man she had already hurt without a hint of remorse. >> Move over here. >> Okay, can I wait for my ride again? >> No, you're going to jail. >> Okay, can I get my >> You're going to jail. >> For what? >> For obstruction, resisting without violence. >> Okay, I've never been arrested before, so I'm sorry. >> now you are. Pat her down. I gave you a lawful order to stand over here. >> And you're right. I'm sorry. You're right. And I specifically told you can I get my phone from under your car cuz I'm waiting for my ride to get here. And they're 20 minutes away. That's it, sir. That's it. >> You're going to jail now. >> Can you wait for my ride to get here? >> No, you're going to jail. >> Can you wait for my ride to get here? That's it. Just wait. Talk to Get my bag, too, please. >> We will. >> For how many days? >> Get in the car. >> No, for how many >> Get in the car. >> How many days? Can I need to let my mom know? >> Get in the car. >> I need to let my mom know. >> the car. >> How many days, sir? That's it. >> You ain't going There is no days. You're going to go and get booked. >> Booked for what? >> Obstruction. And resisting without violence. >> I have a pocketknife in my work in my bag cuz I work in a warehouse. That's fine. I'm fine. Yeah, I'm good. So, tell me what happened, man? What's going on? >> So, basically she's just she basically cheated. >> Okay. >> So, I caught her cheating and I told her >> 54 boss, we got a detainee. >> All right. >> I saw her cheating. I told her, "Hey, I don't want to do this anymore. Either just leave me alone." I told her, "Listen, if you come to my house" She did this before. This lady knows her. She's seen her I told her, "Listen, if you come here, I'm going to call the police and I'm going to get you trespassed trespassed on my property." >> Mhm. >> I told her that specifically. I said, "Do not come here. I need some time apart. I cannot do this." She's like, "Okay, whatever. I'm still coming." So, I called you guys. >> Okay. Did she put her hands on you or anything? >> I don't want no domestic or battery charges on her. She has to go to jail? >> Well, I mean, what do you want me to do? I gave her a lawful order, gave her plenty of chances. >> This is obstructing. >> She's obstructing and then she resists. >> You're right. >> And I have to go through and put my hands on her and stuff. I don't want to hurt her, but she just >> yeah. >> I have to. What else am I going to do? If I'm going to let her go and let her be here and everything and continue with this? No. >> I mean, if you could just let her go home. >> Well, I mean, they're both misdemeanor charges, so if she complies or whatever, if the boss clears it, I might give her an NTA. But we'll see, okay? Do you have your ID or anything on you, sir? >> I don't have my wallet. >> I know I've dealt with you. I've come to this residence before. I don't know if it's for the for you or not, but >> I don't know if it's for you or not. >> Yeah. The officers knew that letting her walk away might not be the end of it, especially after she brushed off the betrayal as nothing. No sane person calls cheating nothing. Indeed, she was obsessed. She wanted to eat her cake and still have it, too. A fantasy that rarely survives contact with reality. >> This is your ex. Ex. Ex-girlfriend at this moment. >> Yeah. >> But she was recently, yesterday, your girlfriend. >> Yes. >> Okay. What's her name? >> It's a weird name. It's Z-o-x-y. You got an actual >> Okay. >> Thank you. It's Z-o-x-y. >> All right. X-i-o-n-s-y. Okay. >> Last name, Torres. >> Okay. Got you. I'll figure it out. Thank you. >> All right. Thank you. >> Yeah. >> Why'd you take your seat belt off? >> It's getting tight on my stomach. >> Okay. Can I have my purse? >> Okay. >> My little brother's coming in 20 minutes. That's why I'm sorry. >> No, you're under arrest. Do you understand? You are under arrest for obstruction. >> What is obstruction? >> Because you wouldn't comply with my invest- my orders so I can do my investigation. So that's obstruction. >> Okay. I'm sorry. >> And I gave you >> know. I'm sorry, and I do have this order, and I'm sorry. >> Okay. I >> That's it. >> I accept your apology, but you broke the law, okay? >> know, and I'm sorry. >> I told you, okay? Secondly, and you're being charged with resisting without violence. >> What is that? >> You resisted me for me putting you under arrest. >> I told you I can't be in handcuffs. >> Well, >> that's not a reason. >> For personal reasons, I cannot >> It does- that- the the the law does not care care your personal reasons. >> Okay, I understand. >> Okay. So, >> Tell me why. >> we're going to go to the PD. >> Mhm. >> All right, if you cooperate and everything, um they're both misdemeanor charges, I'll contact the boss and see if I can give you NTAs, notice to appear, or uh or if we're going to lodge you. That's based off of your behavior. You're going to the county jail, like being placed in the county jail. Okay? All right, here's the deal. But, you still have another arrest. I'm going to give you if you give me your word that you're not going back over there. Huh? >> That's my fiance. >> Okay, but you can't look down at me. Like I'm telling you because I can't take you to jail and you could be there for the rest of the night. Or I can issue an NTA, a notice to appear for uh notice to appear in court, which you'll have a court date and you'll have to go to court to answer for what you did, obstructing, and then resisting without violence. Okay? But, I need your assurance that you're not going back over there. So, where are you going to go? >> It's over, it's stupid. >> Yeah, you cheating, I heard. >> Woah, what? >> That's what he said. >> I didn't cheat. >> That's what he said. I'm not saying you did. I'm not saying you did. He said you did. >> I didn't cheat. He got mad because this dude at work came in and he's a druggy. >> Okay. >> And I told him, I was like, "Hey, I can get him help. I have friends that are officers. I can get him help. I can get him to rehab, but me personally, I can't help him, but I can get him the help he needs, but I can't help him." But, obviously he misunderstood me, then he got mad and took me home. Obviously, me when I get mad, I need to talk. Him when he gets mad, he needs to leave and be left alone. That's two different completely different people. When I get mad, I need to talk and resolve the situation. When he gets mad, he needs to leave and be alone. Now I'm starting to understand that. But he got mad at me over something dumb. >> I'm telling you now, you're in handcuffs and you're being having criminal charges addressed to you. >> What else did he tell you? I cheated. >> That's it. He didn't tell me that you had um he didn't made any acts of violence or anything like that. He told you told me that you cheated, he needed space, and asked you not to come over. >> Yeah, I know. I saw the messages after he told me not >> you still came over. >> But I was already on my way. I took an Uber. That's why I said my Uber was 20 minutes away. >> The officers' no-nonsense approach did the trick. With calm restored, she finally began opening up. But almost immediately it was clear her version of events clashed sharply with what the boyfriend had described. >> I was already on my way when he told me not to come. >> Okay. So, what? I'm going to tell you now. I'm going to release you on an NCA cuz there's no act of violence over there. But I'm promising you, you do have to answer for what you did. You have two misdemeanor criminal charges now on your name because of what you did. You refused to comply with my orders and made me make me tell you what I asked you to do, and then you resisted. >> I'm sorry. >> It's not I'm not asking for apologies. I'm just doing my job. So, I'm letting you know since you've been cooperative and compliant now, I'm acting on good faith that you're not going to go over there. But if you do go over there, and I'm telling you, I'm working till 6:00 in the morning, and your name is going to be on the shift summary. So, all the officers in in morning are going to know that I dealt with you. If you go back over there and cause any more problems the next you're going to the county jail. Do you understand? The county you're going to be locked up in a jail. Do you understand that? Can you get your emotions out of control and be able to be a human, an adult, and not make bad choices? Can you give me your word on that? All right, it's all on body cam, too. >> I give you my word. >> All right. All right, let me get this paperwork going and then uh I'll let you make up Who you going to call? Your friend? >> Is my phone in my bag? >> My mom will be tense if I don't >> I'll check. I'll check. >> My boyfriend called. Or my fiance called. So, I don't care. I have my mom's number. That's fine. >> Okay, well, I'll get you We'll get you a phone number. We'll get you released. Now, the rough arrest you're going to have to sign four five copies promising that you'll appear at your court date. Okay? >> I have my My wallet I have >> I have your your wallet. It's in your bag, right? >> Yes, but I have all of them. The cop told me I had friends that are officers and those are the only contacts I have. I don't know my mom's number by heart. I can call >> Okay. Well, I can ask Officer Morris if she'll go and get your phone from him. Okay? >> You can keep it. >> Well, then I You need to call someone. >> Oh, I can >> And I'm giving And you having the phone with him gives you a reason to go back over there. >> Gives me a reason? >> Mhm. That is That might be a reason why you say, "Oh, I came back to go get my phone." >> If he gives it to me and acts like a man and actually just realizes that I didn't do anything. Maybe he thinks I cheated on his part trying to help another man. Yeah, I understand that's cheating in his eyes, but he'll realize like, "Damn, she was just trying to help someone in need." >> All right, let me get this paperwork done. Our interactions ended up like this. >> I mean, in the moment like especially since we were fighting, I get mad easily. >> I see. >> He gets mad easily, >> I understand he gets mad and he wants to be alone. I understand that. And that's one thing I don't really do. I still need to get I need to understand I know we've been together for a bit, but I don't understand. I need to understand him more. So, I'm starting to understand when he gets mad, he needs to be alone. When I'm mad, I need to talk and work it out. But, I'm starting to realize like, okay, give him time and then talk it out. But, over something stupid like that, like you trying to hook somebody that's a drug addict, that's you know, if you consider that cheating, then okay. >> Huh? >> I just don't >> All right. But, that's why you have the dating process and stuff like that. It's important to get through these bumps and hurdles and know each other as a person before you really commit yourself to that person. And um >> He needs to understand things he does too, though. >> Absolutely, yes. It is. >> talking to other like not talking, but being friendly to other females. That pisses me off, too, but I'm just I just don't tell him. I just don't show it, either. I get pissed off and he thinks it's funny, though. But, when I do something like this, I'm not going to be helping that I'm going to get him the help he needs, but after that I can't help >> Eventually, she was charged with resisting arrest and causing a domestic disturbance. The last girlfriend was wild, but she had nothing on the next woman who was caught up in her own sinister plans once a careful investigation exposed who she really was. >> I need my phone. >> Hey, stand back. >> I'm not doing anything. I just need my phone and I will walk away. >> You left the house because you're upset? >> Yeah. >> You tried leaving to >> Just to like walk away. >> Don't follow me. >> The only thing I saw was just that little bit of blood on your fingernail. That's it. >> That's not fair. >> Okay, I know. >> Because I'm getting domestic battery and he's not. >> On 25th of May, 2024, a sheriff's deputy found himself caught between two people whose love life had gone sour. The couple seemed perpetually at odds, but this time was different because one of them had already reached the breaking point, while the other still felt it was the same old. >> So, no one about the camera. What's going on? >> Wait. Sorry. I need my phone. >> Okay. What's your name? >> My name He's already physically hurt me. >> Okay. What's your name? >> It's Patricia Carballo. He doesn't listen to me. I'm trying to deescalate. Just to talk to him. >> Give it out. Carballo? >> Hey. >> A R B A L L O? Okay. Where Where you guys from? >> keys. I need my keys and I need the phone. >> 318 >> Sorry. >> Hey. >> I need the phone. >> Don't try to hit her right now, okay? Hey, just stand back. I want everything that is inside of She wanted to have the truck. Okay. So, let's stop yelling. Okay. >> I need my phone. >> Hey. Stand back. >> I'm not doing anything. I just need my phone and I will walk away. >> Okay. Stand right there. You want your phone, right? Okay. Give me 1 second. >> Hey. >> Get your phone. >> Knock it off, okay? >> Get your phone. Go ahead. >> And I just >> That's fine. Stand back by the car. No, stay right here. >> Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were there. >> You guys need to stop acting like children and listen, okay? Okay, I just saw you throw her phone as well. Okay? >> Who paid for the phone? Who paid for the phone? >> It doesn't matter who the paid for the phone, okay? >> Thanks a lot. I'm going to I'm about to lose my whole You're the one that paid for everything. >> Give me your thing out there. >> Thanks. Thank you. So, what's going on? Thank you. What's going on? We have been fighting. We're going to therapists and everything. I went to the other room, like, "Patricia, stop." Like, "Let me breathe. Like, I don't want to talk to you." No. She want to go over there and poke the bear. Poke the bear. I went to the other side. She keep going. I decided that I was going to walk out of the wall, not even driving, walk. What's it doing? Jump on the back of the truck like, "I know you're you're not going anywhere." She even called my mom. She even called my boss. After that call, I'm going to lose my whole job. >> Okay, so what was the argument over? What was the argument over? >> Because she thinks that I'm cheating. >> Okay. >> That's the whole thing. >> Okay, and you guys are married or you guys are >> Married. >> Okay, how long have you guys been married? >> We have been close to 6 years. >> 6 years? Okay. How long have you guys lived here in town? >> Here in town, I would say close to a year. >> Close to a year? Okay. >> moved to from Vegas here. >> From Vegas to here? Okay, are you guys working anywhere or >> Yeah, >> Okay. So, this You guys are going through therapy. You guys are arguing this this evening. Was it physical or just a verbal or Okay. And and why does she do that? >> Because she wanted to snatch that phone away from me. >> So, so whose phone was that? >> Over here, wait, I start walking this way. She was with my phone. With her phone talking to my mother, following me over here. >> Okay. >> When I'm just trying to get like step out. >> Okay, so you guys were arguing in the house. At at that point, was it verbal or was it physical? >> Verbal. >> Okay, you guys are just arguing and she thought you were cheating? >> Okay, and that phone that you threw on the ground, is that yours or hers? >> Mine. Mine. Because the one that I pay for the bill is me. Me. >> Okay, but who who normally uses the phone? >> That's my The one that I slammed on the ground, mine. That's my phone. >> Okay, where's her phone at? >> She had it with her. >> So, she has both phones now? >> I mean, the one that I snatched, hers. >> Okay, but don't The one you threw on the ground, >> Mine. >> that's your day-to-day phone that you use. >> mine like my own. >> Okay. >> But I don't even know like this is really ridiculous. Show for all this [ __ ] >> So, you guys are arguing cuz she thought you were cheating. Okay. That's neither here nor there. I don't care about. You left the house because you're upset. >> Yeah. >> You tried leaving in a >> like walk away. >> But, you tried leaving in a truck and she jumped in the back of the truck? >> No. I wasn't even going to start driving in the truck. >> Well, then you said she got in the bed of the truck? >> Yeah. >> So, you were you were just going to hang out in the truck? >> Yeah. No, I was just going to walk out. This is the way that I was walking from there here. >> Okay. You were just trying to eat like remove yourself from the situation. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Like I've always been doing. >> Okay. >> Since we started having all these problems. And we started going that we went to the first therapy and everything. >> Okay. >> Always >> The deputy knew that tears don't prove innocence. They often hide a darker kind of malice. That realization pushed him to ask more logical questions. Even if he hadn't witnessed the beginning, he had seen enough of the aftermath to know that there was more that had not been uncovered just yet. >> At what point did she grab you? On your wrist. >> When I was like uh on this street over here. >> Okay. Did you hit her at all? >> Check her. >> Okay, but when I walked up to you, you had your hand raised when I was standing right between you guys. So, what would you do if I wasn't here? >> I was taking the phone away from her because she snatched my hand though. Why I have my hands over here. >> You still have the phone though. >> Check. There. >> You I I understand, but but when I was standing between you guys, did you not raise your hand? Okay. It may have been to defend yourself. I I just want to get your side of the >> I've never hit her. I've never never done it. >> Okay. >> Thank you, sir. I appreciate you jumping my [ __ ] ass. >> These are just questions I have to ask, okay? >> I know it's your job and everything, but >> And so, you you were just trying to walk away and she just kept on following you. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where does >> I can give you the the phone uh phone number of my mom. You can call her and she was on the phone all the time. >> Okay. What did Were you guys drinking night? >> No, but I have Yeah, I have a couple beers. >> Okay. That's it. >> But I was being in the house. >> Yeah. No, that's not I just got to ask her to have a mental note of it. Okay. How many beers do you think you had? >> I think I have between both of us close to a 10 pack or a 12 pack. >> 12 pack together? Is that good with both of you? >> No, we have a couple shots of uh pink Whitney. Hopefully the reason why I didn't I wasn't going to take my truck. >> I I get it and I appreciate that. Um you guys have any kids together? >> Yep. >> Are they at the house right now? >> Yep. >> How old? >> My son is five and she's he's over there. And she have her daughter that is 15. She's over there in the house as well spending the weekend on her time that she's supposed to be spending with her. >> Okay. Did that happen here or did they say anything last night before you guys left? Before it happened? >> They They hear all of the things. They won't what I'm saying like go away. >> So when when she grabbed you was that when you guys were walking or was that when you guys were at the house? That caused that scratch or something? >> No, that was like uh coming out of the door because she would try to block me like and then her nail you can see her nail is like ripped. It's because of this. >> So that that's all the physical? >> Yeah. And I bet you that anything that she said that I did What? >> What's your How do you spell your last name? What's your date of birth? >> Actually, I think she even have my wallet and everything. If I didn't drop it over there like trying to run away from her. Believe it or not I have been one time with all our fights I walk from Grant to all the way here. >> Grant to That's a even farther walk. >> all the way here just to avoid problem. >> Why don't you stand back like a foot and uh hang out for me real quick. I'll be right back, okay? >> Meanwhile, the backup deputy who who arrived later at the scene was already asking Patricia a few simple questions, but Patricia, who had mastered the art of crying without shedding a single tear, gave her version of the event almost like she had been waiting for that exact moment. >> Officer Floyd. Just so you know, I've got a body camera on, so everything's recorded, okay? >> Okay. >> What's going on? >> We basically just started fighting at home. I'm sorry, we're a little bit under the influence. >> Okay. >> Thank god we walked. But, I just basically followed him because I wanted to de-escalate, and he wanted to call the cops on me. >> Okay. Why did he want to call the cops? >> I don't know. To be honest, I don't know. He thinks I'm fighting him or anything. He I don't know. He has treated me like garbage. I have tried so much to make this work, meaning our relationship. So, if I [ __ ] up, okay, my bad, but I'm trying to de-escalate this I'm sorry. I'm cussing, but >> That's all right. So, you guys have been arguing. >> Yeah. >> And he walked out of the house to kind of get away from you, you followed him. >> And maybe it was my bad to do that. >> And you said that So, what we What we heard on What we heard on the phone was What we heard on the phone was somebody saying that, you know, people were hitting each other. You've got blood on your finger there. >> It was an accident though, because >> What happened with that? >> was going upstairs, I guess I was like trying to grab his arm, and it just cuz it was long, so I just I guess I hit his arm, but it wasn't like intentional. >> Okay. And he just got cut a little bit on his finger. >> cut a little bit, yeah. >> Okay. That's Any Do you have any injuries? >> No. >> No? Okay. Let me get some information from you, ma'am. >> And I need to find my glasses so I can see. >> Okay, we'll take a look. Stay here for me. What's your last name? First name? Are you currently employed? Where is that at? Okay. What do you do for >> Sales and service. >> You work from home? >> No. >> Where do you work out of? >> In my car. >> Okay. All right. So, has somebody taken somebody's phone? Cuz that's what That's what our dispatch was hearing over the phone call. >> The phones are under my name. >> Okay. Which phone was it? >> Both of them. >> Well, which phone was >> Oh, I was trying to take the one that was his, but they're mine. >> Okay. Well, I'll I'll tell you this. Even if you pay for the phones, you you can't take his phone from him. That's his property, okay? I understand that you make the payments on it, but if it's his phone, you can't take it from him, okay? >> It's mine, so >> Well, in the eyes of the law, you just told me that it's not. Even though you may pay for it, it's phone commonly used by him. You just referred to it as his phone. So, if you take that phone, >> Oh, so you're saying I should give it back? >> Yeah. >> After I take everything? >> Is that phone in your pocket >> It is, yeah. You want me to give it back after he even broke it? He broke it. Like he broke it. >> Okay. >> And he is finished breaking mine. >> Where's your phone at? >> Broken, officer. >> Ma'am, stay here. Stop walking Stop walking in the road. >> No, I'm just trying I'm not trying to walk in the road. I'm trying to just get my glasses. >> I told you to stay here. I told you to stay here numerous times. Just stay here. >> That's all I'm trying to do. >> Where are your glasses? >> know. I'm trying to find them, officer. >> Well, we can look for them here in a minute, but just walk through the road. >> So, that's all I'm trying to do. >> Okay. Where could they be at? >> So, can you walk with me so at least find something? >> be at? Just somewhere in the road? >> road. Maybe by your car. Maybe they're smashed at this point. I don't know. >> Okay. Deputy Frost will take a look for them, okay? >> Um they have like um brown maybe like dark brown and light brown, but I don't know. Like I said, maybe they're already broken. I don't know, officer. Did you see stuff on me? >> The only thing I saw was just that little bit of blood on your fingernail. That's it. Should you have injuries? Did he hit you at all today? >> No. He just pushed up. >> He pushed you? When did that happen? At the house or out here out in the street or what? >> Just here. >> Why did >> I guess maybe to evade the situation. >> Why did he push you? >> me being like stubborn, I guess. He tried to like >> Was she trying to push you away from him? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, he wasn't trying to push you and knock you down. >> Well, it was a little bit of both cuz I mean he said it out loud. He's like, "If you don't come, I'm going to knock her out." So, I don't know. >> Okay. >> The deputy tried to keep her calm while probing for more details, asking questions that were carefully aimed at exposing just how deep their issues had gone. And more importantly, who had been responsible for the crisis that was unfolding. >> What's your plan for the rest of the day? >> You know what? My plan for the rest of the day was to spend the day with my children and have a [ __ ] >> Okay. Are the kids at home right now? >> Yes, they're asleep. >> How old are they? >> 15 and 5. >> Okay. Have you guys been up all night? >> You know what? To be honest, pretty much, yeah. >> So, what time did you go to bed? >> We had a late start to the evening. Put it like that. And then I don't even remember my dad's airpods or >> What's that? >> My dad's phone. >> Do me a favor, just stay right here. Okay. >> No matter how it was told, anybody who truly wanted peace wouldn't pursue someone who was obviously trying to avoid a fight. So, the officers were able to see through the stories that gave the impression that both sides had been attempting to maintain peace because indeed, one of them loved the drama. >> I have 80 plus dollars is there. >> Okay. >> In the car. >> So, you're free to go from the scene. If she's not going to give back the keys, you guys are married, there's not much we can do to it. Um if I can get the keys from her, I'll bring them to you, okay? >> So, what's going to happen with her daughter that is over there? I mean, it's not my daughter. >> Okay. >> I just have my son over there. She's the one responsible for that daughter. >> Okay, and you're not going to >> I don't I don't mind it. It's Yeah, it's my daughter, but I mean >> Okay. >> What am I going to say? She's over there. I mean, she asked me. >> Well, she'll be back tomorrow. She She's going to get arrested. >> What? >> For grabbing you by the wrist. We're making you bleed. That's what we have to do. You know that, okay? We are entitled when it comes to this stuff. Okay. Okay. >> It is what it is. >> You're free to go. I appreciate it. >> Thank you. >> Can I uh Can you go put your hands behind your back? >> What for? >> Cuz you're under arrest for domestic battery. >> What? >> You're under arrest for domestic battery. Okay. >> What do you mean? >> I'll explain it to you. >> Why am I under arrest for domestic battery? >> I'll explain it to you in a second, okay? >> Okay. He pushed me, too. Even though I was talking to his mom, his mom was there on speaker. His mom is there. Like, I can't leave. What? Yeah. >> All right, let's get the tie for you, okay? Yeah, we're going to walk you back to my squad car, okay? Yeah. When we get back to my car When we get back here, Deputy Frost is going to search you, okay? Is there any thing in your pockets that you can't go to the jail? Is there any drugs? Is there any knives, lighters? >> I have my phone in here. Your keys? >> Do you have anything else in your pockets that can stick me, poke me, hurt me? >> No, I don't think so. I got like the keys and my AirPods. >> Okay, you can go ahead and face the car and separate you two. >> Those are okay. >> Can I have a [ __ ] phone call myself? >> Yep, when you get there you can. >> my daughter. Oh my god. My god. >> What is this? Is this cocaine or meth? Cocaine? What is this? This is only cocaine on you? >> I'm going to pull forward to the front, okay? Go ahead and put your phone away here. It's not a phone I'm going to hold. >> Just call him. I just want my daughter out of there. >> Patricia's case had gotten even more complicated, but she was a master of schemes. She still held onto the belief that she had one last move that could save her from her own undoing. >> Can you call him and can I talk to him? >> Or? >> No, it's not something we can do, sorry. So, but I can call him and let him know the situation, okay? Okay, what's his name? You don't know his phone number? >> No, I don't know anybody's phone number. >> But this is your phone, correct? >> That's the only thing I have on me. I don't know anybody's phone number. >> In front of you I can open it and grab his phone number. >> He's literally like only got His mom is the only family >> We can figure it out when we get to jail and he has time to think about it, okay? >> In the end she was charged with domestic violence. Next up is a crazy stalker who learned the hard way that showing up at her ex's house uninvited came with consequences and that tantrums don't make the law disappear. >> Don't touch me. Please stop touching me. >> I mean really really hate to have to force entry on a car and take her to jail. >> Police, help me. >> Well, we're past that. >> I I promise. >> You wouldn't be in this situation. >> hardly ever >> On November the 4th, 2025, just before noon, a man called for assistance in removing his ex-girlfriend from his property. This prompted several sheriff's deputies to rush to the residence. They advised her to leave the residential premises after quickly realizing that she didn't belong there, but she resisted like her name was on the house document. By disobeying lawful orders, she was turning a failed relationship into a standoff that was headed for the catacombs of irreversible doom. >> All right, let's go. Let's go. We're not waiting. Let's go. But it requires that you walk to your car. Let's go. I I promise you this. This is This is the last opportunity. You go to jail, you're going to sit in jail, and we don't want to hear you crying and saying, "I won't do it again." because at that point we've we've crossed that line of departure. You're going to sit there, and and you're not going to come back here. Cuz we'll just go to the judge and say that this trespassing act will not stop. Hold her until her court date. You're choosing this. We're not choosing this for you. But we're being very patient and very kind cuz in normal situations, we would already been on our way to the jail with you. So, you got to start walking. Let's go. Let's go. Come on. Let's go. >> I need a second. >> You don't need a second. Let's go. >> I do need a second. >> No, you don't. Let's Let's >> I need a second. >> You don't. You can get a second out there. >> Come on. >> Don't touch me. Don't touch Don't touch me. Please stop. I'm leaving. >> You're going to jail. >> Don't touch me. >> Walk out or you're going to jail. >> Don't touch me. >> Walk. Walk out there. >> Don't touch me. >> Walk. Come on. Walk. >> Don't touch me. I don't want to I'm ready to go to jail. >> Let's go. Let's leave. >> She managed to reach her vehicle just before the officers could place her under arrest and for a split second it probably felt like a win until it wasn't cuz that move only gave her room to add another bad decision to an already messy list. >> Now she's just going to sit in her car. And now now she's just going to sit in her car and not leave. It's fine. Now we have force entry on her car and land drag her out of here. What's that? >> What do you want to do? >> I mean really really hate to have to force entry on her car and take her to jail for obstructing you know? >> Yeah. >> I'm not doing anything. Oh please, I'm really I'm going to leave. I'm going to leave. I'm leaving. Okay, I'm really I promise I'm leaving. >> You're four past nine. >> I'm leaving now. I'm leaving. I'm leaving. I promise I'm leaving. >> STOP. >> I'M LEAVING. I'M LEAVING. OKAY. >> DON'T PICK ME UP. I'LL TAKE YOU down here. >> Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. I'm leaving. >> This one's good. Hop in the car. >> I said I would leave. >> Yeah, it's too late. We gave you like a thousand opportunities. >> you to get out of the car. If I just would I did I got out of my car. >> No, you got out of your car because you were trying to chase him. >> I wasn't chasing anyone. Fine. >> Yeah. >> Please, I will leave. Please. Please, I will leave. Please don't do this. >> We gave you the chance, ma'am. We gave you every opportunity, ma'am. >> this on my record, please. Please. I'M GOING TO LEAVE. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS. I CAN'T. I can't. Please help me. >> Ma'am, we're past that. >> I I promise I will leave. I can't do this to my family. I can't do this to my family. Please. Please. PLEASE. OW. OW. OW. >> MA'AM, STOP KICKING ME. >> OW. >> PLEASE stop kicking me. >> I won't. I don't I'm scared. I'M SCARED. OW. OW. I'M SCARED. >> YOU'RE GOING TO JAIL. >> NO, DON'T DO THIS. NO, NO. >> You're telling us that we're giving you a thousand chances. >> But I'm leaving. I know I will. I'm back. I promise I will leave safely. Please don't do this. >> I didn't know what you're doing. >> I don't want to do this to my family. >> arrest. You're resisting. >> Please. >> Now you're resisting. You're resisting arrest. That's another charge. >> But I will be safe. And you guys have been following me. >> You're resisting. >> Please. >> Stop resisting. >> Please, I beg you. >> Get in the car. Get in the car. >> That hurts. That hurts. >> Get in the car. >> You are hurting. >> Get in the car. What are you doing? >> Because I don't want to be arrested. I don't want to be arrested. >> You're already under arrest. >> I'm sorry. >> You're already under arrest. >> I don't want to. I don't >> You shouldn't have resisted. >> I don't I'm sorry. Okay, I'm sorry. Stop. >> All right, get in the Are you buckled in? >> Please, help. Help. Please. Please. Please. >> From everything the deputies are saying, she looks like someone who is used to bending situations to fit her will. A habit that had likely carried her this far. This wasn't a personal argument with her boyfriend anymore. It was her versus the law. >> Ouch, I just peed myself, you [ __ ] MY BLADDER. MY BLADDER. >> YEAH, WE'RE JUST OPERATING. >> I SAID PLEASE. >> I said stop. >> I said please. >> I said stop. >> I won't do it again. >> No, it's too late. Stop screwing around. >> Please. Please. Please, I beg you. Please, I can't do this to my family. >> Seriously, THIS IS RIDICULOUS. STOP IT. STOP. STOP. You're being ridiculous. You're acting like you're 10. You're going You're going yourself hurt or one of us hurt. Sit there and be an adult. Tired of talking to you like you're two. I don't care. At this point, we're done. Stop kicking. Ow! Stop. >> That's what I didn't want. You guys lied to me. They lied to me. You're right. I should have, but I needed a second. Shut up? [ __ ] Yeah, you You what? Yeah, and you know what? I was going to. I don't want to have anything on my record. I've never had I had maybe a few speeding tickets when I was in back in high school. I don't want this. I already went through so much with him. Is there anything you can do to just just still prevent this from going even worse? Can you at least not charging me with something that's going to be I don't know. I'm scared of that. I never did anything like this. How long am I going to be there for? Just so I can prepare myself. Please don't charge me with anything that will hurt me. Please. I'm sorry. Are these windows tinted back here? Are these windows tinted back here? So, I'm not seen? Am How often do these instances happen? Do you have to deal with? Is mine severe? Well, I think I was trying to prove a point to Camille. >> You have to prove a point to him? >> Are they Are they Are they going to hurt me here? Are they going to hurt me here? >> Are they going to hurt you? >> Mhm. >> No. >> I don't know. I hear horror stories about I'm jail. I don't know. I've never been here and I don't want to go in here. Can we turn around? I'm scared. >> Are you going to keep fighting me? All right, cuz otherwise there's going to be like a whole army of guys coming after you anyway. So. >> Eventually she was charged with criminal trespassing, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery on a police officer. Heading to Champagne County where officers encountered a stalker who was too delusional to accept the reality that her fling with some guy was over. >> She's mad at me. She's going to yell at me or whatever. She'll follow me. Took about two or three steps, got right to about where she is, and she just chucked this drink at me. >> In the store and threw a cup of water on him. You remember that? >> Why are you guys here about that? >> I'm just curious about you about it. >> No, like you guys haven't already done enough damage. >> Get out of it. >> Until >> On the 14th of September 2024, just before 2:00 p.m., officers in Illinois were called to a local store after the owner reported that a woman had walked in, said nothing, threw a drink on him unprovoked, and calmly walked right back out. At first it sounded like leftover relationship drama, but it was clearly deeper than that because hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and this was only the beginning. >> I'm safe. I'm fine. I know it wasn't her. They told you what was up. Do you need back story? Do you want it? >> I don't know the back story. I talked to you on the phone for like an hour one day. >> What about again? >> Yeah, so um I have the name of the two people that were in the store cuz it was just me, two customers. I was in the back. I'm clearing off a table cuz I sold it. Someone was picking it up later. >> picture of those numbers already. >> Yeah. Yep. And they were like They were like, "We don't want to go to court or anything, but we'll answer any questions or whatever." Um she has a ban notice here. >> From his ban notice, it was clear that this wasn't her first dispute with the store owner. According to the police report, it all started as a professional partnership with him selling her artwork, and later, they briefly turned into romantic partners. But after she allegedly refused to leave his home on multiple occasions, he tried to create some distance. That was when things took a turn because for the obsessed creeps, rejection brings out the ugly part of who they really are underneath their sweet demeanor. >> Court date on the 15th from spray painting on my property. Officer Rojas was >> Did you take a picture of that, too? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um Rojas was really cool, and he followed it up, and he kind of got her to admit that she did this criminal property damage, and he was like, "You got a court date." He came by and told me right after he did that. So I'm assuming that he didn't He just said she's got a charge on her and a court date, so I'm assuming he did that. But um I was basically right at the right at the entryway there when I saw her approaching me, and I just walked by her cuz I was like, "I want to get her out of the store. She's mad at me. She's going to yell at me or whatever. She'll follow me." Took about two, three steps, got right to about where she is, and she just chucked this drink at me. That's >> I mean, it's battery. She threw She hit me in the bottom. >> I went across the street cuz I literally recognized the smell. I get this hibiscus tea hibiscus lychee, and I was like, "That's my tea on me." Went across the street just to be like, "Was Janice in here, and did she buy a tea?" And they said, "Yes." >> So do you have any video in here at all? >> One at the door that might show Not in here. >> Okay, yeah. Okay. >> It might It might show her coming in. I don't know. That actually would be helpful. >> Okay, yeah. So >> Yeah. >> I'm going to get your phone number here. Is it Are you able to pull that video? >> Yeah, I'm I'm looking now, and I've just been like so like not doing anything towards her. It's like >> She's trying to do anything? >> I mean, I figured when Officer Rogers said that she had a court date, when he goes, "When I told her that," she seemed very unfazed by it. >> According to the police report, Ms. Welden's alleged harassment escalated from refusing to leave the store to following the victim home, vandalizing his business, and posting public accusations online. The latest incident finally pushed officers to visit her about 6 days later. >> Champaign police. Hello, are you Janice? I'm Officer Parchew of Champaign police. Um so, the reason why I'm here, do you know someone named Matthysse? >> Why? >> Well, he he said that um a couple Saturdays ago, so it'd be on the 14th, September 14th, that you went in the store and threw a cup of water on him. Do you remember that? >> Why are you guys here about that? >> I'm just here to talk to you about it. >> I can't see this as a normal matter that police typically handle it. >> Mhm, this is. Yep. >> Like this. >> So, you did throw the water or throw the water? >> I did throw the water. It was orange >> Okay. All right. Well, go ahead and step out here. >> Okay. No, thank you. >> We're going to be placing you under arrest. >> No, no, no, no, no, no. >> Okay, stop. Stop. >> Stop what? >> Put your hands behind your back. >> This is so not right. >> You're under arrest for battery. >> OKAY. >> OH MY GOD. >> AND you're resisting on top of that, so you need to cooperate with us, okay? >> No, no. I'm not doing this. I'm not No, I am not [ __ ] doing this. This is ridiculous. >> Do you want to charge for resisting also? >> I don't care. This is ridiculous. He [ __ ] assaulted me. Nobody did anything. Nobody wants to Oh my god. You guys >> Stop. >> Me? >> What you doing? Get off me. >> Get off me. >> Get off me. Not like you guys haven't already done enough damage. You got it. And so >> Stop. >> I love it. This is so amazing. Get off my hair. What's up? What's wrong with you people? Oh No. This is not >> Stop. >> No. This is so unlawful. Are you kidding me? For throwing a cup of water on somebody. >> Stop. >> This >> Who's this? >> insane. You all are like You guys hurting me. Let's go. For throwing a cup of water. Oh, because I'm being assaulted by you now. Everybody just gets assaulted and and I'm getting to go to jail. So love my life. Love this You guys are so good at >> I'm just searching you. Okay. So, just cooperate. I'm going to use the back of my hand to search your bra. okay? >> Don't even know what's going on. Sprained ankle. Get off of me. You're going to break my wrist. >> Your wrist is fine. >> No, it's not. How can you feel what my wrist feels like? Can you feel what my wrist feels like? Do you have that capability? Cuz that would be amazing. >> Let's take a seat. Left first is easier. There you go. >> Can't move my ankle. Sprained. Do you guys take everyone who pour water on people to jail? Can I have the statistics of that? >> It's battery. >> No, it's not. Can I have your [ __ ] >> Eventually, she was charged with battery, resisting arrest, and aggravated battery on a police officer. We've seen unhinged stalkers do the unthinkable, but none compare to the next one, a wanted woman who showed up to her ex's parents' house for absolutely no good reason. >> How'd she know he was serious? >> Well, she He said he was He told her that he was coming down here cuz she called. texted No, she bit her ex's face, so that it had it bled. >> Yeah, I I believe it. >> And then she attacked him at night one night, hit him in the face. >> I have to verbally tell you, but you're trespassed on this property, so if you show up again, you'll be arrested on that. So >> On the 27th of May, 2024, an officer arrived at a home after a shaken grandmother called for help with a young lady who refused to leave her family alone. The young lady had once been romantically involved with the grandmother's child, but the relationship was now over. But for a creepy person, being cut out of their lives meant she could haunt them from the shadows. >> Hello. I was just going to get up here and get some context as far as who she is and her mom. >> I think her son's a sheriff's deputy. >> Her son's what? >> on the sheriff's department. >> Oh, that's her son's on the Oh, okay. >> And she's not, okay? >> So what was she doing here? How'd she know you all? >> My son is He was engaged to her. >> Okay. >> And a month or so ago, she said Well, first off, she bit his face driving down Nicholasville Road. >> Oh, wow. >> Cuz she said a demon was on it. >> Okay. >> But then >> Hello, sir. >> Hey, that's my grandson. She's calling him. Hey. >> So, she's Has she been trespassed from here before? >> No, but >> just told her not to come around. >> Yeah, we went to court. They had to go to court. She had my son arrested. >> Okay. >> And we went to court. >> So, she What was she doing up here? Does she's not supposed to be around here? >> She She's not supposed to see him. >> Does she have a no contact order? >> Him that he From the judge that he didn't want either one of them staying contact with one another. >> Okay. >> And she shows up here. >> Okay. >> And I mean, she She got in my face. And she was over at her dad's before she came here. I called him and I said, "Get over here." Uh I said, "If not, I'm calling the police." >> Okay. >> Well, he's scared of her. >> Yeah. >> You know, because I mean, she got in my face. She said about choking people and stuff. Then she said I was a leader of a cult. I mean, okay. And I killed my husband. >> So, she's just off her rocker. >> Oh, I mean, you just don't even know that. She got up in court. I'm going to tell you this and it's sort of embarrassing, but in court when they went to court and they let her speak and she said that my son was a demon and that he would steal her used tampons to get the blood to put spells on them. >> Yeah. >> Who does that? >> Somebody who's not thinking correctly. Has she ever been used using drugs that y'all know of? >> A long time ago, but I don't think she has. But she's been this way for about 3 or 4 months. >> Okay. >> But it it she's very When she goes in any place she gets into with anybody. >> Yeah. >> I mean, even Walmart. >> Yeah. >> But I told her to tell me didn't need to be in here. You know? >> Yeah. Does he live here? >> No, he's just staying to visit. >> Okay. How'd she know he was here? >> Well, she he said he was he told her that he was coming down here cuz she called and texted. >> But, they're not supposed to have any contact. >> No, but you look she calls and texts him all the time. >> Yeah, but he has Yeah. >> And one time she called him like 10 times that night and he didn't answer. And then he got scared. You know, you men sometimes you get scared something's wrong. >> Yeah. >> And he answered. >> Yeah. Yeah, so he still has a a thing there, a connection or something. >> Yeah, but I hope he gets over this soon. >> Yeah. Yeah, it doesn't sound like it's going to go good if he keeps doing that as far as the relationship. It doesn't sound like it's going to be a good one. >> No, but she really needs a psychiatric evaluation. And we've tried. >> Yeah. >> I tried to talk to her daddy and he wants to, but he's scared of her. >> Yeah. >> I mean, you know, he's scared. >> Sounds like she has a warrant. >> She has a warrant? >> Yeah. Out of Boone County. >> Huh. >> It's just a failure to appear for a court date. So, if she doesn't go with medical then she'll be going to jail today to go to Boone County. So, to take care of that warrant. >> Okay. I'm really sorry to bother you. >> You're not This is not a bother. This is what we do. I I I was young. I was up here a long time ago playing basketball. I know it's off subject, but >> I I think I Yeah, I >> I was up here with the Crismans. The Crismans invited me. They knew your were friends with your son Evan. Friends with your son. I'm assuming that's who it is. I'm assuming is your son in his 30s? >> He's 30. >> 40? Okay, so cuz Evan's a little older than me, but I was friends with Eric. >> Yeah. >> And so we came up here and played basketball once forever ago. >> And and did I ever look like I was trying to kill my husband? >> No. No. >> I mean, >> No, she's obviously talking. She's talking the talk. No. The grandmother's concern couldn't have been more justified. The strange details kept spilling out. The officer didn't interrupt. He allowed her to talk and she had much more to say than he expected. >> Yeah, but I believe you. >> And then she attacked him at night one night, hit him in the face. >> Yeah. >> Black both eyes. >> I'm sure he doesn't record it either just cuz he doesn't want to. >> Well, he don't even say he beat me or whatever. He'll tell people. >> Well, we'll show up. We can tell the difference between who did what based on markings. >> Well, but she said, "I'm going to tell him that you Well, when he got picked up the first time, she said he was beating her. Well, of course, they took her to the hospital. There were no apparent anything. Well, Eric's a big guy. If he hits you, >> Right. Yeah. Yeah. >> Well, but it didn't matter. You know, they still took him to jail and >> Yeah. You know what it is, but okay. Do you want her trespassed from here? >> I do. >> Okay. I just have to verbally tell her. That way if she shows up again, you call us, she'll be arrested automatically for that. >> Yes. >> So, okay. I'm going to go back down here. I was trying to get some context as far as why she was here and then go from there. So, >> know. One minute, I was sitting here just beating on the door and then she got in. She said, "I came to help you. Came to help you move." >> Wow. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, if she shows back up, let us know cuz it'll be automatic cuffs. I mean, it's nothing major. It's trespassing, but it just by me verbally telling her not to show back up, if she does, we can actually show up and do something with her versus just trying to get her off the property. So, >> So, now do you have to take her to jail? >> She'll have to go regardless. If If she goes with EMS, um then we'll notify Frankfort that she has a warrant. If she doesn't go with EMS voluntarily, then she'll go to jail on the warrant. And then it's but it's Boone County. So, she'll probably go to Boone County real quick, get transported there at some point, and then once she handles that, she'll be released. And then so, she'll she'll be out in a couple days for that. >> She told me she walked all the way from Lexington. >> Okay. >> I said, "Really? You didn't work up much of a sweat." >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Cuz I mean he's fake. >> Right. Right. Well, I'm sorry y'all had to mess with this today. >> No, she was. She said Eric kidnapped her. >> going to arrest her? A warrant. So, I got to ride with them to the hospital. So, >> Thank you. >> Yes, ma'am. But call us cuz I'm going to let her know she's trespassing. If she shows back up, as far as the the court stuff goes, her in violation of the court order, whatever that that's a court law type thing, so he can notify the court the judge who notified, and she's within contempt of court. So, he can let them know, "Hey, she showed up. It's documented. The court can look it up." Documented she was here today that we were out here. So, if the court wants to do something on their side, they can with that. Um but as far as our side, we'll just trespass her. So, let Eric know that he can do that if he wants to notify the judge that she was in contempt of court of that paperwork. So, and then she'll be trespassed. If she shows back up, then call us. So, >> I appreciate you so much. >> It'll at least be a couple days before she shows back up if she does cuz she's got that warrant. No. No. >> I mean, I don't get >> When when when people have nothing to say and they run out out of things to say, and they start using vulgar language, they are the idiot. That's how I explain to my son. We don't we don't cuss because when you start cussing, you've ran out of smart things to say, and you shouldn't talk. And that's what happened. So, >> Well, let me tell you. How old is your son? >> 13. Yeah. >> He's 16. He's a senior this year, but you will never find better kids. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> He's a Christian boy. >> You seem like a well-dressed kid, too. When you turn 21, come see us. We'll hire you if you want to work. Yeah. >> Let me tell you, he's real black and white, though. >> Yeah. >> I >> Well, I was I was always shy. >> He used to be. >> Yeah, I can't afford to be now. I'm president of Anderson County's FFA chapter. >> Oh, well, yeah, you can't be shy when you're doing that. >> I'm also chaplain of the Capital City Region. >> That's awesome, dude. That's awesome. Keep it up. Well, forget police and you'll be working at the state doing something. Thank you all. >> That same day, not far from the house, after the officers finished with the concerned grandma, they came face-to-face with the unruly woman herself, sparking yet another unexpected twist in the situation. >> I'm just after verbally telling you that you're trespassed from this property, so if you show up again, you'll be arrested on that. So, just don't show back up. You know, I'm going to I'm just going to pat you down again real quick before I put you in the car. >> Yes, a baby and a cell phone I think in a pocket. >> Would you use yours or mine? I'll use mine. That way we don't have to sit there and pass it back and forth. I'll cuff you in the front. You lock them so they don't get tight on you. Okay, if you'll don't mind, take a seat here. Thank you, ma'am. You just take a seat straight ahead. So, did you get Did you get caught up in drugs in the past? >> Yeah, I just did it like from a car wreck and >> I got you. Did you get hooked on pills at first because of the car wreck and then after that just went to What did you go to? >> Um um I don't know. >> Yeah. Are you still addicted to anything at the moment? Nothing. Good. How'd you get off? >> I I went to Sherwood House. >> That's awesome. That stuff's hard to get off of. I can't imagine. >> Um I went to the Scotsman and then I went to the house. >> Okay. Good. You have family that need you. How did you get burnt? Is that from the wreck? >> No, my ex told me that my house burned and he called the fire department. They saved me. >> Oh, wow. >> Okay. >> Yeah, dragging him out. So, were you all you and Eric together hanging out and then he was just going to his mom's to see if he can get something and ordered you to come over there now? >> I was there. >> Was y'all staying at the hotel in Orangeburg? >> No, in Lexington. >> Okay. >> Eric asked to go get something to eat and then he texted me and said, "Where'd you go?" >> Yeah. >> "Do you want to get the baby?" >> Yeah. >> And I said, "Okay, where are you?" He said, "I'm in Orangeburg." >> Right. >> I mean, we've been going there before, so I don't know why he said >> He just hates the ride down here real quick. They They were just I guess was Eric needing some money? Does Does mom help him out every now and then? >> Yes. >> Does mom help him out, though? She She provides to him. She spoils him rotten. Yeah. So, he showed up needing some money and then he told you to come on over and then she freaked out. Yeah. She said she knew about it. But I don't Maybe Eric didn't realize she knew about it. I think that's what happened. Which car was his up there, the one that was backed in? The Chevy? Yeah, I got you. >> I didn't know him like this, though. >> Right, but now you're mixed up with it. Sometimes you get stuck in a spot where you have to stay with certain people because they have access to a place to stay. He's got access to money helping him stay in a hotel and that gives you a place to live, not necessarily that you just I I I get that. I get that. Yeah, that way Yeah, once you take care of this, you're done and then you're got a clean slate. That sounds nice, don't it? That sounds good, doesn't A clean slate. It is. It's I tell people like there's never a good time for a warrant. I don't care. You can never plan for a warrant to pop up. Even if you knew about it, there'd never be a good day to say, "Okay, I think I'll go today." >> I actually did. I turned myself in on this. >> Did you? >> And paid the 250 and got myself a few hours later. I actually did go to place my name. >> They might have said a court date after that again. Do you have other kids besides Lucas? >> Mhm. >> Okay. When's the last time you talked to him? >> Um >> Been a while? >> Mhm. >> Yeah. Have you tried reaching out to him? >> Yeah, I reached out to him on his birthday but he had some medical issues and he was in the >> Yeah. >> I tell him all the time I love him and he knows that he knows. >> Yeah, just to let him know. Yeah. How many kids do you have? >> I have three. Um >> Okay. >> Because of the fire, my 6-year-old lives with Buddy Flora on a full-time basis. >> Mhm. >> And my wife is with him so I don't need to pay for that one. >> So house Right. What's the So your 6-year-old lives with Buddy Flora? >> That's his paternal grandfather. >> Oh, okay. >> How long have you been on the force? >> 3 years. >> All right. >> I'm 33 so I started started late. I didn't plan on doing this. It just kind of fell in my lap and I thought I'd give it a try. >> The officer's no judgement approach was meant to calm her down. Maybe, just maybe, get her to open up about what I've been going through her mind and accept the help that she didn't even realize she needed. >> Just join at any age? As long as I can jump a fence and climb a wall? >> Mhm. Yeah. Yeah, pretty much. There's not really an age cut off that I know of with like local law enforcement. Um you just have to be able to pass the academy cuz I went to the academy there's some 50-something-year-old guys in there and they just have to be able to do the physical part and academics and Is it hard to stay clean? >> For me? >> Yeah, being around that. I could only imagine. >> Not clean watching, you know what I mean? >> I got you. Yeah. I can see that. >> Not necessarily just because my head space is different and I mean I'm thinking about stuff anymore. It just became it it can be if you're in once you get a good enough distance, you know, mentally. >> Yes. I mean, yeah, you can always just if you wanted to just make a difference, you can call up at Boone County Sheriff's Office one day and just stay anonymous on the phone and just say, "Hey, FYI, drugs are being sold out of this location, this location." And their detective will turn around and take a look at it and they might hit something and you you made a difference behind the curtains. So. And that's what we do all day long. We just try to make a difference behind the curtains cuz >> I mean, cuz it's not helping the kids that are in that house. It's not helping them. >> No. No. It doesn't help anybody. >> No. >> The only person it helps is the person selling it and it gives them money and they don't care and then they blow the money on something else. Those kids don't receive that money. >> The kids see the food stamps, you know what I mean? >> Mhm. They're running around in diapers and no shoes usually cuz the other person is kind of greedy with the money, so. >> And I only know this cuz I played the Monopoly game. >> Yes. Been there, done that. Does he abuse you? The dude you're with? Yeah. It's hard to get out of situations like I said cuz it gives you a roof over your head right now. It's survival. But you got to get out of that. >> It's like I don't know if I should try to stay around him and endure it until I can turn him in. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> And sometimes I feel like I'd fare better just pitching a tent. >> Mhm. And it's showing operating on suspended or revoked operator's license. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You'll be out in a couple days. This will take care of it and then you're like I said, you're good to go. Clean slate. >> So, then I can go to get my license back after this? >> Uh that's up to the judge. >> Okay. >> Ask the judge that. So, when you have your prelim whatever, just ask them if when you can go back and get your license. >> Okay. Well, it's cuz she thinks that you're causing her son to be who he is, cuz it's she's not willing to accept the fact that he's just Maybe some of her raising issues or something or he's got around the wrong crowd, but she's still giving him That's a hard spot to be in. Hopefully, I never have to be in that spot where your child is in a position where they're going to fail at life and but you don't want them to hit rock bottom cuz you love them and but I try to explain people, I'm like, man, if you love them, you're going to let them hit rock bottom. Yes. Yeah. I'm sure she's hit rock bottom a couple times. Now, you're surviving. Right. I try to tell people that. I'm like, I've never been in Hopefully, I never have to go, but if I was in their position and I couldn't help myself, I would be thankful later on down the road for those moments because it forced me to do something. So, sometimes Right. Right. Right. And you're going to mess up again. Like, we're human. It's People are like, oh, I messed up. I'm just going to go off the deep end. No, you messed up cuz we're human and just reset. Do it again. Now, you Now, you know the resources. Now, you know how to start all over. You know these things. So, it's just a learning curve. So, addiction's hard. >> At the time of compiling this video, updates on her charges remain unknown.
