Which uh which gate is it? >> While investigating a hit-and-run crash, an officer hears a nearby car rapidly accelerating. >> You stop. Stop. Stop. >> Instead of slowing down, the driver of the Mustang GT stomps on the gas, speeds up. >> Okay. >> All right, guys. We have a new channel today. We're checking out a channel called Sergeant Pepper Spray. Sam found a video says it's gonna be good and we got body cam bingo. So, [cheering] we're staying on it. Uh, we moved some stuff around. We took some stuff. We put some stuff in. Um, but we really like this card. So, we're going to we're going to give it a try. We're going to see how it goes. >> Pissed off cop quick quickly hops into his car, but is too slow to catch up with the Formula 1 wannabe. So, he canvases nearby neighborhoods until finally Lady Luck intervenes. Hey. [screaming] [music] >> Do you guys know whose white Mustang this is? >> Uh, tell her to come out. >> Yeah. Can you have him step out? >> Hello. >> Hi. [snorts] >> Do I look familiar? >> Kind of. >> Yeah, I know. >> Kind of. >> Yeah. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back. You're under arrest for fleeing and alerting law enforcement. >> Hotel camera. >> What? >> I walked out, flagged you down, told you to stop, and you rapidly accelerated away from me. >> What? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Just last night, I was sitting on the side of the road and someone went by me at a crazy rate of speed. I locked him in on radar. I pulled him over. I wrote him a ticket. Um, when cops are on the side of the road, our lights are on. In the state of Arizona, you have to move over and you have to slow down. Um, so when people don't move over and don't slow down, they really draw attention to themselves. Um, so right now this officer is investigating a collision. So he's there, cars on, lights are on, he's there on the side of the road, and here this this car comes blowing past him. Obviously, it's going to draw his attention. >> It's all on body cam. >> You just >> Nope. I w I walked out of the road and was telling you to stop. >> You walked out on the road. You >> correct? And I was telling you to stop. It's all on body cam. You're under arrest for fleeing and looting law enforcement. >> Love it. >> Can I just call her mom? >> Yeah, you call her mom. Is that Is that our phone right there? I am a law enforcement officer fully uniform telling you to stop because you're passing all those cars in a double yellow one. >> No, you passed multiple >> Doesn't matter. You still fled law enforcement. >> Yep. >> And then you rapidly accelerate as you went by me. You didn't stop, didn't do anything. Didn't even hit the brakes. >> No, I was doing the speed limit. >> No, not if you're passing cars. >> Can I talk to someone else? It was just me there. I don't know who you want to talk to. >> Who do you want to talk to? >> Maybe your supervisor. Oh, >> I used to have that on here. That's >> leading law enforcement. So, >> go ahead and sit down for me. Do you have anything on you? Cuz I have a female that's going to come search you. >> No. >> Okay. Um, >> outstanding. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. So, yeah. No, I literally was I hear her car accelerating rapidly. So I look and she's in the middle of passing vehicles coming back over. I'm in the road, hands up, telling her to stop. Clearly look like a law enforcement officer. >> You do. >> No brakes, no no lights, nothing. She just keeps going. Guns it. >> So that's fleeing and looting all day long. >> Away you go. >> Can we go to court for this? >> Absolutely. You're going to be going to court no matter what. >> And you said you have on dash cams. >> I have a body cam. >> I'm going to say mentions lawyer court. >> So what's your name? This is like the most ridiculous thing ever. I mean, once you're done, >> I know. I agree. Fleeing law enforcement is pretty ridiculous. >> Yep. >> I absolutely agree. >> I also agree. >> I'm also I'm also towing your car and putting on a 30-day hold. So, >> just let you know. >> Yes, >> they're arresting me for fleeing a looting. I passed in a double line and then an officer came >> I [snorts] said I'm getting arrested because an officer said I was fleeing and eluding. I was driving on. He came out and ran in front of like he he half ran in front of my like he didn't even fully run in front of my car. >> She is admitting to doing everything. Admitting to seeing him um you know admitting to passing in a no passing zone and this cop's standing there not having to do an interview, not having to worry about Miranda because he's not asking any of the questions. It's great. Dad Miranda don't apply to dads. Dads are Miranda free. So, dad's doing all the the interrogating and this cop's standing there, body warn cameras running and he's just loving it because she is sinking her own ship >> and then um now I'm getting arrested for it because I parked in because he said I was fleeing. >> Not because you parked on anything. >> Doesn't matter. Don't need to be I absolutely don't need to have like sirens activated. I'm a fully uniform law enforcement officer telling you to stop. >> Do you have your laptop in there? >> I did. I don't know. >> Can I talk to him? Officer Rier. >> Okay. >> Hey there, it's officer at New Beach Police Department. >> What? Officer who? >> Officer Rier with the New Beach Police Department. >> Hey, how are you? >> Good. Good. So, >> literally I'm in the middle of the road. I'm a fully uniformed police officer telling her to stop. Not only does she not even apply the brakes, she rapidly accelerates away from from me to the point I have to run, get jump in my car, which was parked several hundred feet away cuz I was investigating a hit-and- run crash. >> And now all of a sudden, she's gone now lower. So then I obviously find the car and make contact with her. So I don't need to have lights and sirens on behind or anything like that. I'm a fully uniformed police officer. I was given clear hand signals to stop. And I have a witness who was the victim of my hidden run crash who watched the entire thing. So you know, of course that meets statute requirements for for fleeing and looting. I I I don't mean to be a jerk about or anything like that, but that's that's where we're at. Okay. Um, how far does she go from when you try to uh gesture her to stop? >> Over a mile. So, she didn't try to pull off the road down the street, nothing like that. >> Did she Did she Was she able to see you or >> Oh, yeah. I am I am in a >> big dude. >> She just told me I saw him in my uniform. Didn't So, that's all I need like cuz And I know she saw me because I was about in the middle of the road to where she would before she would run me over. So, I didn't want to get ran over cuz she was already doing 65 plus. So, >> you know, I have everything I need for fleeing over there. It does what it is. So, she she can take it a call. It's going to go to court no matter what. But that that's what I have. It meets statute requirements. Um, >> great body one camera video. >> Okay. >> Okay. Um, can you put her back on the phone? >> Yeah, you're on speaker. So, you'll probably be in in in jail for the weekend then. >> Yeah. Okay. >> So, >> because uh you're not going to get get out right away. >> So, here in Arizona, specifically for the agency I work for, they hold court for initial appearances or your IIA appearance twice a day. So, they have one in the morning, they have one in the afternoon. um if you get booked in after that afternoon session, you're there till the next day till the morning uh IIA court. So even though she might need to post a bond, that bond will be set by a judge and that judge is at the initial appearance. So she might I don't know how they do it in Florida, but she might she might be spending some time there and she needs it. >> Why were you going that fast down? >> I passed one car. I passed one car. 9:30 and I passed him. >> She admits that she passed the car because that car was going slow. Well, that car was probably obeying the law and slowing down because as a law enforcement officer conducting a collision investigation on the side of the road and that car slows down and the blomb bomber here decides, "Nope, I don't want to go slow and obey law. I'm just going to pass in a no passing zone." So, this is all just her impatience and not wanting to to obey the law. And now she's going to be held accountable. And I love that. >> My daughter's friend embarrassing. >> So, why didn't you pull over at the time when he weighed you down to stop? Why didn't you stop? >> Cuz it wasn't like he was I I didn't I really didn't even know. I just saw a person in white and black and then >> this had one hand out and it wasn't like he was in front of my car like that. He was just he like literally was from the >> cop goes like this like I don't know what he means. >> That's a hearsay. I was not going 60 from 30 to 60. I can't just do that when I'm in the other line going over to the other side. >> We have a Mustang. You can go that fast. >> Pull you over. >> He didn't. He didn't. He came over and found my car and pulled. >> It's all on body cam, sir. I was almost in the roadway. The reason I didn't go all the way in the roadway is cuz she was going so fast. I didn't want to get hit by her cuz I was able to see that she was not slowing down. >> That was just a what he thinks. >> Okay. >> I'm actually an instructor for speed measurement. So smart. >> I'm not laughing. >> I wouldn't be laughing. It's a felony. You committed a felony. Don't laugh at that. >> Felony. [clears throat] You're being cocky. You're not even being polite. You're not even using manners. >> Yeah, this has been her the entire time, sir. >> I know. That's what I don't get with her. It's just total ridiculous. So, you you don't understand what you just did. >> I do. >> Oh, you do. Do you? >> I like [clears throat] this. >> Like, how do you understand what you're doing? Cuz you're being a smartass the whole time to me, too. >> So, I can only imagine how you're speaking to an officer. >> Yep. Florida's part of the South. Everyone knows that I love the South. I love that this dad's laying down the law, demanding that she speak to this officer with some level of respect and that she take accountability for her actions. That's that is the true essence of the South. I love it. This dad is awesome. I would This dad and I need to go have a beer cuz he's a cool dude. >> It's all It's all on body cam. I've been trying to be respectful to her, but >> Right. I don't get it. Like so you just totally just screwed yourself inside and out for what you just did big time cuz now your car's got to get towed to the impound. You got to pay to get that out too now. >> There's going to be a 30-day hold on it. There's going to be a 30-day hold on it. [snorts] >> So So your nursing stuff is going to be screwed up now, too, because you don't have no damn manners. And you know what? It's going to take something like this to [ __ ] you up now. And now you're done because you're so goddamn arrogant and cocky the whole damn time when you officer normally when you did it. You had to be a real jerk, didn't you? >> I know [ __ ] He's got the body cam on. So you just totally screwed your whole [ __ ] up. Nursing degree, everything. You just did it because you you're being invincible. But guess what? You're going to spend a weekend in jail and you'll see how invincible you are. And you know what? It might teach you a lesson now. Maybe, you know. >> Good for you, Dad. >> Cheers to you, DAD. [screaming] >> Did you hear that? >> All right. So, when you get to jail, you get one phone call. >> Just follow her instructions. >> So, you better figure out who you going to call, you know, to to get you out of jail. >> I like that. Figure out who you going to call. So when you call your mom and start bitching at her and stuff, she going to make you sit. You call me, I'll make you ass sit, too, because I'm not putting up with this [ __ ] You know, you you you got an attitude. It's got to change. >> I got to change. It's ridiculous. So this might be your game changer. >> You know, you could have been probably polite to the officer from the get-go and you probably wouldn't be in the situation you are right now. And I bet if you ask the officer that, your cockiness is probably what put you in that position right there. >> I agree. >> I guarantee it. >> All right. Um, she's getting searched right now by a female deputy. Uh, do you have anything else for her? If not, we're going to we're going to load her up and do some paperwork. Okay. >> Yes, sir. No problem. >> Do I put my shoes back on or just >> Do you want them back on? >> If that's what I'm saying. If your mom can bail you out now or otherwise otherwise you will sit there until Monday. >> I got to calculate it but >> he'll probably be like 2500. >> Okay. >> Do you have an older brother? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> So I know him very well. Yep. >> He's in what? The Air Force. >> Did you go to high school? >> Yeah. >> Actually, so you got jewelry on. Um, do you want to leave that with them and not bring it into the jail? Like the earrings and stuff and your necklace? >> Can I take it out? >> Yes. So, if I uncuff you, I have to take him out. You're not doing anything. >> That's enough. >> This is me being very nice. So, >> Oh, mom. She We have a problem. I'm going to let her talk. >> Oh, she is a problem >> because I need an officer. Um uh she's going to need uh somebody to post them. >> Jewelry 10% of probably 2500. >> Okay. >> Have you ever been arrested before for anything? >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you. Okay. All right. Bye, Mom. >> It's not fun. >> Bye, Mom. >> Be prepared. Be strict. But strip shirts to take everything off and you bend over. >> And now that you know that, if you do have anything on you and you introduce it into the branch, it's a felony. Okay. >> All right. I'm just >> I tell everybody I >> I'm going to cut her up front since she's seems like dad's kind of talked a little bit of something into her. >> Probably. >> Are you good with that? Are you good with that? >> No. >> Are are you good with that though? since you'll be she'll be in your car. >> Yeah. >> And is your guys pool car available or gone? >> Okay. >> Good grief. How much jewelry she have on? >> No, it shouldn't take that long. I mean, I know she's a traffic guy. >> He's going to want me to >> like a traffic guy doing traffic guy things. >> It's all on body cam 2 on the previous signal 3. So it's like >> or did I just take that? >> That's mine. >> This is mine. >> How much stuff has she taken out of her face? >> She wanted to take that. >> Yeah. >> All right. Good. Just go ahead and put your hands like this together up front. There you go. Just a little bit further out. >> You're good. >> Those need to be on. >> I'm being very nice. >> I would agree that I can pop these off. Yeah, I mean I don't think it would be too big of an issue. >> I'm double locking it. That way they don't search down your real >> go to his vehicle right here. Okay, >> there we go. >> Perfect. >> And I like that a bunch of bunch of people showed up. He's at a residence. It's a good good time to have some friends there. I >> want you to seat. I'm just going to buckle in. seat belt. Um, >> there we go. >> You have enough AC? >> Oh, yeah. It's called back. What's your name? >> My name is Officer Got. >> Nice to meet you. Not really, but >> How long have you been a police officer? >> Uh, a little almost 11 years. >> Oh, wow. >> It's a good time. >> You like it? >> Oh, I absolutely love it. I mean, if I didn't like it, I wouldn't be I wouldn't be doing it for 11 years. >> How long do you think I'll be there for? >> Well, it depends. I'm pretty sure that it's a uh thirdderee felony, so you'll have a bond. >> Interesting. >> So, a couple hours, then you'll be able to bond out. >> Okay. >> Just worried about my hair going to jail. Got to make sure she looks good for a booking photo. >> All right, go ahead and step out. We're going to go on the right side of this car. >> Just hang tight. I'm just going to drive you over here. >> She literally admitted to the entire thing. Like I I've known the family for for a long time. I played football with her older brother. >> Yep. I know your dad. I know your brother I very well. >> Did you play baseball or like football with him? >> I played football with for a long time. >> Yeah, >> I follow him on Facebook. >> If the crime that I'm charging with wasn't a felony, >> I could have just wrote you a ticket and be done with it. But >> unfortunately, since it's a felony, no matter what, make a physical arrest. >> Same thing. >> Zero criminal history, right? >> Yeah. >> All right. So, felonies and misdemeanors, uh, we very commonly treat different. I arrest people all the time for misdemeanor driving offenses, uh, for criminal speed, for driving on suspended, for displaying fictitious registration, all sorts of traffic related stuff. Um, I don't necessarily put handcuffs on them and book those people in the jail. But felonies, we do. Those people get handcuffs, they get searched, they get transported, they get to spend time in the Panel County bed and breakfast. Um, that's that's what the difference is between that. So, if she would have just been speeding and it was a criminal amount of speed, she probably would have gotten a ticket and away she went. But because the felony of eluding, that's why she's in handcuffs. That's why she has a booking photo. >> I mean, one time I shoplifted when I was 16, but I don't think it's on there. >> Did they charge you with anything or No? >> No. >> Can this get expuned or anything? I >> mean, potentially if you have no criminal history or anything like that. >> Yeah. >> You know, they they might work with you. Do you want the windows up like that or down like that? Or do you want >> It's fine like that. >> It's fine like that. >> The camera's kind of covered by that thing. I don't know if that matters. >> Well, that makes it any better. Uh that was my captain texting me. I'm probably getting in trouble because how fast I was going looking for you. >> Is by the time I got back into my car to to go after you, >> you were so far gone. I I was lights and sirens. I was doing over a hundred. So, I'm probably getting in trouble for that now. I went over 100 last night. No one's yelling at me for it. One of the differences between city agencies and sheriff's offices is sheriff's offices, we tend to work a larger geographic area. So speed is part of our everyday. It is simply in in responding to calls for service, um responding to officers that need assistance. We drive fast because we have to cover so much area. And sometimes in an emergency like trying to find a reckless driver, we're going to drive fast. Um, very recently I was involved in a pursuit. I was at well over a 100red for well over an extended period of time. And it it happens. No one in my department is going to say, "Hey, you shouldn't drive over 100." It's they leave it up to us and our discretion. And I think him trying to close the distance on a speeding vehicle because that's how physics works. You have to go fast. It just someone that's going 60 70 mph. If you go 40 miles an hour, the speed limit, you'll never catch them ever in a month of Sundays, you'll never catch them. You have to go fast. It's just the way that we the way that we close distance and catch up to speeding vehicles. So, I feel bad for this officer that his agency is looking at him for that because that's BS. He's out there doing the Lord's work. >> Do you have any extra waters? >> No, I don't have a pack of water. I had a couple bottles, but I don't have anymore. I have Red Bull if she wants one. >> You want a Red Bull? >> Please. >> She said, "Please." >> You ain't going to get all hopped up on Red Bull. >> Very, very nice. >> I wouldn't be giving someone my Red Bull. >> I got you. >> So, like I said, I'm only writing you the civil traffic just passing or no passing zone. Okay. >> Instead of anything else criminal. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> I don't think I was speeding. I mean, I wasn't looking down. Listen, I'm not charging you with any speed or anything like that, but you were definitely >> I visually estimated you at about 60 easily. >> What's the speed limit on that run? >> 40. >> Good gracious. >> All right. All right. Body cam bingo didn't quite make it. So, we only got the one mentions, you know, court lawyer wanting to go to court. That's all that we got on this one. So, we'll see. Better luck next time. Uh what we are looking for is we're looking to hit 400. We want 400,000 subscribers. Um right here, this is where you join, you become a subscriber. When I hit 400,000 subscribers, I'm going to do a live chat just for the general public.
