All right, mic check. [clears throat] Okay, so on November 1st, 2024, Cordell King Wright took the stand in the preliminary hearing for Jarvis Buts. Cordell Wright worked with Jarvis Buts at a shop called Franks. He and Jarvis eventually opened their own auto repair shop on 9,000 Connor Street. Cordell Wright was one of the last people that saw Naziah the day she went missing on January 9th, 2024. This is a watch along at times. I may have commentary. Jarvis Bus's trial is currently scheduled to begin on February 23rd, 2026. >> LP2796. >> Good morning. Good morning to your staff services. And good morning service by Cheryl P83973 also on the bus have a seat. >> Good morning butler defender service. Okay. Any preliminary matters before we begin the event just would request or invoke the role of sequestration >> and the people would ask for an exception for the officer charged with sitting in the back Sergeant Shannon Jones. >> Just uh question whether or not Johnson has to testify today. >> Not today, but she will be testifying. >> No objection for >> Okay. If there is anyone in the courtroom who may testify or is a witness on this case, that means today or at trial, if it goes to trial, you must exit the courtroom now. Also, just to put everyone on notice, this case is being streamed uh live on YouTube. So, if there's anyone on YouTube who may testify or a witness on this case, you must also log off and not be anything else. >> Okay. Call your first witness. >> Thank you, Judge. At this time, you will call Cordell right. Stand right here, Mr. Right. Face the judge. Raise your right hand. >> You tell us nothing. I do. >> Watch your step. >> Do you have his name on? >> Could you spell his first name for me? >> C O R D E L L. >> Good morning, Mr. Right. >> Good morning. >> And Mr. Do you have a nickname? >> Yes. >> And what's your nickname? >> King. >> Is that K I N G? Yes, ma'am. >> Thank you. >> How old are you? >> 37. >> When's your birthday? >> 1117. >> Of what year? >> 86. >> And Mr. Wright, back on January or back in January uh 2024, um were you on a MDOC test? Yes, I was. >> And what dates were you on Tether from? >> From March 14th, 23 to March 28th of 24. >> And what were your uh other restrictions back then? >> Um, I could leave the house from 6:00 in the morning. I had to be back in by 900 p.m. >> Mr. Do you know someone named Dar Spots? >> Yes, I do. How do you know about our request? >> Um, I first met him. We worked together at a shop called Franks and then we owned a shop together. >> Okay. And do you see uh Jarvis in the courtroom today? >> No. >> Would you able to stand up so you can look around? >> Yes. No. >> When did you meet Mr. B? >> 2018. >> And you said you two worked together um initially at a place called Franks. >> Franks. >> All right. Where was Franks at? >> On he has a couple locations. He's at seven, but the one I met him at was on War and Nef. >> War and Nef. Okay. And what locations of frames did you work at with Mr. B? Worn enough. May I approach? Yes, Mr. Wright. I'm approaching people's proposed exhibits four, five, and six. Can you look at these and tell me if you recognize those? >> I recognize this one, >> this one, and this one. >> Okay. Um, and those uh are those a fair and accurate depiction of uh the Frank's auto shops? Uh, at least two of them on Warren and the other one maybe on Harbor. >> Yes. >> Okay. Which is the one that's um on Harbor? >> The last one on the inside. Okay. And that's people's exhibit proposed exhibit six. >> Yes. >> Okay. You're move the admission of people's four, five, and six. >> They'll be as people exhibits four, five, and six. >> Thank you, judge. Okay. I'm sorry to the replay gang gang, but I am about to repeat a little bit because my people are just coming in and I want to make sure we're all on the same page about who this guy is. So, I'm sorry for y'all that heard it in the beginning. I'm going to say it one more time. Um, but this is Cordell King, right? Um this this testimony took place on November 1st, 2024 before the January 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th testimony kept going. This was one of the first days. Um he is the business partner of Jarvis Buts. They first started working together at an auto shop called Franks. Then they opened the business together on 9,000 Connor Street with which if you've been listening to the trial, you will recognize that address cuz it's mentioned a lot. It's one of the last places Naziah um was seen. Um and that's the shop that they had connected to that sitgo that they would talk about a lot when they were placing the dots when Jarvis's cell phone was being mapped out. Um he is the one that went to Ipsellani with Jarvis and Naziah when that one lady testified. That lady was his son's aunt. So the sister to his son's mom, I believe. So the gr and they were taking back the his son's grandmother's jaguar. Um so that's why they were out there in Ipsellani at that house and he has a tether so they were easily to able to map that's where he was at certain times and that was on January 9th. Um let me see. And this is the one that Jarvis asked could he get the phone out of Tashiana's Suburban. um if I'm remembering my notes right because I don't want to flip the pages too much right now. But hopefully that kind of clears up who this is and you will get to hear the prison call and they're going to ask him questions that'll kind of clear up what I'm saying. It'll and elaborate on what I'm saying. >> How long did uh you work at Franks with Mr. >> Few years? About how many years would you estimate? >> Two. >> And when did when did that change from Franks to another shop? >> Uh maybe in 20 three sometime. >> Okay. Um would it be earlier in the year or later in the year? >> Maybe mid maybe maybe in May. Well, maybe April, May. And then where did you guys work then? >> Uh we got a shop together on 9000 Conor. >> And what is at 9,000 Conor? >> Um a sicko car wash and our shop was in the middle of both. May >> Yes. Mr. I'm handing you what's people's proposed exhibits seven and eight. Can you look at those and tell me if you recognize them? >> Yes, I know. [clears throat] >> Okay. And are those a fair and accurate depiction of uh your shop at 9,000 Connor? >> Yes, it is. >> And are the admission that people's proposed exhibit seven and eight? >> No objection. They'll be as exhibit seven and eight. Who did you and who was it that you mainly worked with at 900? >> I'm sorry. >> Who was it that you worked with at 9,000 Conor? >> Jarvis. >> I want to take you back to um when you were working at Frank's uh with Mr. Bus. Did you ever see Mr. Bus with any children there? Yes. >> And specifically, did you deal with any young girl children? >> Yes. >> And did you know who those were? >> Yes. >> Who were they were? Who were they? >> Um, his daughter. His niece. >> Daughters and niece. Um, what about any boys? >> Yes. >> And who were they? >> His sons. >> How often would you see him um with children there at Frank? >> Sporadically. And at 9,000 Connor, did you see Mr. B with any children then? >> Yes. >> Uh, any girls? >> Yes. >> And who would they be? >> His daughters. >> And what about any boys? >> Yes. >> And who would they be? >> His sons. >> And how often would you see him with children at 900? >> Sporadic. >> And As it relates to this case, um it's fair to say that you uh spoke with Detroit police a few times. >> Yes, about four. >> About four times. Okay. Um that first time that you talked to Detroit police, um do you recall about when that was? >> Uh the first time was the day before Valentine's Day. So like February 13th. >> February 13th. And is that of 2024? >> Yes. >> Okay. All right. And at that time, um, were you, uh, presented with a jail call? >> Yes. >> Okay. And what who was that jail call with? >> Jarvis. >> Okay. And who was he talking to? >> Me. >> All right. Um, and what was the topic of that jail call? >> Um, he called to ask, "Would I receive a cell phone out of a truck form? And were you familiar with uh what truck he was asking you to get it from? >> Yes. >> What truck was that? >> Um it was a Z71 Chevy Suburban. >> And did you know who that truck belonged to? Um, yeah, it's baby mom or somebody was dealing with. >> And do you recall um listening to that jail? >> Yeah, I recall. >> Okay. Um, bye. You know, I would move to admit uh the jail call from I believe it's uh February 8th, 2024 between Mr. Wright and Mr. >> Exhibit number. >> Sorry, that's exhibit number one. >> Thank you. And um may I publish co-host. >> Thank you. All right. Before they play the call, um, Liddon, I'm with you on when you said, um, as a man, did he not think it was strange for the young girls to be hanging around so much? I just think it should raise some red flags. Like I I don't know. Um and then I also agree with y'all that he's underelling it with how frequently those little girls were over there with saying everything was sporadically. Sporadically it's not. I wish prosecution would have asked, okay, in a given week, how many times did you see Janiah and Naziah? Would you say you saw them? Do you remember seeing them? How many times per week would you say? How many times in a month would you say you saw them? Because, you know, this happened over the span of over a year. So, you know, you could get a we could we could hone in a little bit more than sporadically, but in the end, we do know prosecution proved their point, which is why this is going to trial, but um yeah, I wish that um they would have asked a little bit more with that part. So, they're about to play the prison call where Jarvis, in my opinion, pretends like he knew he was calling for a favor the whole time. And then he asks like, "Oh, by the way, oh, I just remembered, can you grab that phone out of Tasha's?" Cuz he says Tasha, but I think her full name is Tashiana. Um, but out of Tasha's car. Then he knows that's why he called the whole time. But here's the call. If y'all can't hear it, well, I do have it through the courtroom source, but I think this audio came out better than some of that uh interrogation audio we've been listening to. >> And for the record, I am playing. >> That's it. This is a free call from >> county jail. Your phone does not collect call. This call has been provided by helmet as a courtesy for friends and family. You cannot receive additional calls from this confirm you needed. We can take your credit or debit card information over the phone and connect you immediately back to your phone. This call is subject to recording and monitoring. Press one to accept all communications from the >> Thank you for using >> my guy. What's up, man? >> Not [ __ ] man. What's happening? >> Not [ __ ] man. How you feeling? My bad. I missed your call. I was working like a [ __ ] >> They said he was up there banging something. >> Yeah, you know it. You know, you know. >> What's up, my [ __ ] >> Who is that? What's up, boy? Yeah. >> Hey [ __ ] >> man. I called it, man. You [ __ ] put my money on my [ __ ] book, bro. >> Oh, yeah. Take a minute to put that [ __ ] on there. Even if you walk in with it, they be playing it crazy. >> I swear to God, you got [ __ ] You sure you straight? >> I mean, a couple of you know, I had money on my books, [ __ ] I came in with money. >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. So, they put that [ __ ] on. I was [ __ ] talking about zero dollars. That's some [ __ ] >> That [ __ ] crazy. >> Yeah. >> How is it though, >> man? That's some [ __ ] I'm going to be quarantined on this whole [ __ ] bro. >> Oh, yeah. They got you on that quarantine floor for how long? Three days. >> I don't know how long. Oh, I'm about to be the only one in this [ __ ] on my >> You said I'm about to be in this. Okay. Huh? >> No, I was with that customer. >> You straight? >> Yeah. >> Huh? >> Oh [ __ ] Yeah. You got passion number, right? >> Yeah. >> So, D, I'm need you to call her one day, [ __ ] Get get that truck up there, [ __ ] Get my phone out that back seat, bro. >> Oh, man. All right. Well, I'm about to get the truck up there. Tell her you lost too. >> You have one minute remaining for this call. >> Reach behind that back seat. >> Yeah. >> Soon as you reach behind that back seat, approx. >> Okay. Under or in the back or in the back? >> In the back. Right in the back of the >> seat on the second row, [clears throat] you know, you put the key to the key to the gate. It's the same [clears throat] key. >> I don't have that key. >> Yeah, you do. It's the same key to the uh to the lock. >> Oh, okay. I didn't know that. All right. >> Yeah, the same key. >> Now, you know, I got I'll put the money on the phone later, man. When I get around, I put the credit card. You >> can call I got the Come on. I told my wife I have to bring it up to you. >> No, I don't need it though. If you send the T one, I got it. So, I don't need it right now anyway. Just want to get the scrap out of there. >> Okay. And Mr. Ray, were you successful in uh getting that cell phone from the vehicle like Mr. asked you to? >> She came up there, but no, I wasn't successful. It wasn't there. >> Wasn't there? When we say she, who do you? >> Uh, Tasha. >> And who's who's Tashi that you know of? >> Uh, his baby mama. >> Okay. Um, did you look for it in the vehicle? >> Yeah, I looked for it. >> Okay. And you were unsuccessful with finding it? >> Yes. >> And I want to talk to you now about um the second that you were speaking with Detroit police. >> Okay, before they continue, obviously Jarvis's phone was very important to confirm he was the owner of uh the number that Naziah had been texting. The police ended up getting the phone uh either before he found it or I don't know how hard he looked, but they got the phone. They had a search warrant for Tatiana's vehicle as well as other women in Jarvis's life, their vehicles, too. They found the phone. They um the detective said that or the the sergeant Shannon Jones said that she called 911 from his phone to confirm it was the number they were looking for because they weren't trying to just confiscate any random phones. They wanted specifically Jarvis's phone. So, they verified that that number was the one they were going for. It did belong to Jarvis. And then later, the defense tried to, you know, paint it as he was being um uh acquiescent because they were like, "Didn't he willingly give you the passcode?" and and the Sergeant Sh was like, "Yeah, he gave us the passcode." But as y'all can see, he didn't want them to find that phone though. >> Oh, and they also used it to connect his the Gmail account. Uh it was like uh and his Instagram. It was Jbo get to the money for the Instagram. And basically it was like Jarvis, I don't know if it said Jarvis Butts, but it was Jarvis something two numbers@gmail.com. So it connected all the stuff. It linked everything. So when they went and looked at that text now app and all that stuff, it connected back to his phone. >> Couple days after your first time, >> it was not long. A few weeks maybe. I was off tether at that point, I believe. >> Okay. Um, and do you recall talking about fixing a red Jaguar and going to? >> Yes, I do. >> Tell me about how many times did you and Mr. box go to >> I believe either it was either two or three. >> Okay. >> All right. And how about how that how did that come about? Whose red wire is this? >> Um my son's grandma. >> Your son's grandma. >> So she called um said she was having some problems with it and asked if we would come look at it, which is not unusual. We do do uh house calls depending on the person and where it's located, but this is my son's grandma, so of course we going to make the exception. She called and said she was having problems with the car, asked if we come look at it. We went assessed the car at her house the first time. I think we made a minor repair there, not to the extent that it was the problem that she was having after the fact. >> Okay. So, um where does where is this red jaguar located when you guys go out to see it? >> Uh Mr. my son's grandma driveway. >> Okay. >> Excellent. >> It was nice >> off Michigan Avenue, I believe. >> All right. And um who goes with you out there that first day? >> Jarvis. >> Okay. Is just you, you and Jarvis bus? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, you guys go out there and you assess make a minor repair. >> Does it completely fix the car >> for that problem? Yes. >> Okay. Um and then [clears throat] is there another time that you um end up having to do work on this Jaguar? >> Yes. >> Okay. Tell me about that. Um she she drove the drag well for a while. It was doing fine. Then she said it was leaking something. Um I asked her what it was leaking. She said she didn't know. I asked her if she could get it towed to the shop. She said yeah. >> Okay. >> Um >> so at some point this reduire gets towed to your shop at 9,000 Connor. >> Yes. >> Okay. And who works on it at 9,000 Connor? >> Uh me and Jarvis. >> Okay. Um and what do you do when you finish? Do you ever finish fixing the Red Jaguar? >> Yes. >> Okay. And what do you do when you finish fixing it? >> Um, we take it back to her. I I called her first and asked her how she was planning on retrieving a vehicle. She uh said she was going to tow it and I didn't want to cost her no more money, so I told her that we could bring it. >> Okay. And um do you recall if that was on or about January 9th of 2024? >> It was on >> It was on that day. >> Yes. >> Okay. So on that day um uh before you take the Red Jaguar back um who was uh tell me about tell me about how that day started for you. >> Um I woke up um I typically um leave the house at 6:00 cuz that's the time I could leave. So I went to the gym uh I got to the shop uh probably around 8:30. Um I don't know who opened the shop. I can't really recall which one of us opened it, but drivers may have been there already. Um, a few cars came in, then the Jaguar probably got there maybe around 9:00. Uh, I assessed the Jaguar. Jarvis left for a moment. I had another mechanic, being it's a foreign car, so I had a foreign car mechanic uh on call to help with the work, but he was busy, so he came um said he wouldn't have time to do it. So, I think I Googled it, seen how it was done, and I proceeded taking the water pump off. >> Okay. Um, so you're working on the Jaguar, and is Mr. Buff at work that day? >> Yes, he was there. >> Okay. Um, what do you guys you guys you and Mr. Bucks um do as it relates to work on that? >> Um, I think we had a few cars that came in that needed some minor repairs. between that and the Jaguar. We was jumping in and out of the Jaguar job and the cars that can pull it up, maybe oil change, tune up, whatever, etc. So, if it was uh but we was mainly working on the Jaguar, trying to get the water pump off as it is a hard job to do. >> Okay. Um and do you uh always have all of your parts on stock or on on your person in stock with you? >> No, we call either AutoZone, Mansfield, one of the auto stores that have >> Okay. And did you have to go get any auto parts on January 9th? >> Yes, we had to go get the water pump for the Jaguar as well as some other parts I believe for other >> and um when you go and get parts um is it usually just one of you, both of you, or something else? >> Uh depending if it's a car there, then one of us will stay. If it's not a card there, we go together sometimes. >> Okay. And on January 9th of 2024, um did you guys uh did one of you guys go to the auto part store or did you both go? >> We both went. >> Both went. Okay. Tell me what happens when you go to the auto part store. >> Um I before that I called them. They ordered the the water pump. So we went and picked it up when they called and said it was in uh we got in the truck, went to uh AutoZone, got the water pump. on our way back from AutoZone. I believe we forgot something. So, we ended up turning back around, going back to AutoZone, grabbed whatever we forgot, came back, and on our way back, um, we was coming down Harbor, Jarvis said, "I see my niece right there. She walking." We pulled into Angel's liquor store. Um, I still didn't see her. He pointed >> I have to point this part out because they're driving. They're supposed to be picking up parts to fix that Jaguar. This is January 9th, last day Nazia was seen. And y'all know if you've been watching that um Nazia had been texting Jarvis's phone um like, "Let me know where you want to meet. This is I'm about uh you know, I'll be here." Blah blah blah. So then um she's like, "Text back, okay? So I know you saw this and then I'll delete the messages." He does text back, okay, which later he uses the excuse, oh, I was busy. I just thought she meant she I would, you know, meet her at her grandmother house and then um to give her her money for cleaning the shop. That's that was one of the things he would say, right? But um so they're driving getting these auto parts and he's going to later say the one that was driving is Jarvis driving and he's oh look there's my niece but he knew because he was looking out for her cuz he saw her text messages about meeting up. This is at the you know obviously she'd already told him I'm pregnant all these other things. Um, so it's not a surprise he uh that Jarvis saw her because he planned to see her and plan to pick her up, but he's acting like a oh, just happened to see his niece and let's go ahead and grab scoop her up because I happened to see her across the street. >> Across my face says she right there. She was coming across the street at that time. Uh, she got in the truck with us. She spoke. Hi, King. Hi, Jay. And we proceeded back to the shop. >> Okay. So, um, when you guys are driving to these auto parts stores, who's who's driving? >> Driving. >> Okay. And where are you at? >> Passenger seat. >> Okay. Um, and you said when you guys are heading back to the back the shop the second time. >> Mhm. >> That's when you said Jarvis spots someone. >> Yes. >> Who does he say that he spots? >> His niece. >> His niece. Okay. And do you recognize his niece? >> Yes. When I see her, when he point her out to me, yes, I recognize her walking across the street. >> Okay. Um, and so you guys pull over. Where did she get into the car at? >> Uh, I believe she get in the behind me. >> So, the back seat behind me. >> Okay. Um, does Jarvis say anything to her? >> Yeah, she speak she speaks to both of us and we speak back. >> Okay. What does uh what does he say to her? >> Hi. >> Hi. And where do you guys go after um you pick up his niece? >> Back to the shop. >> Okay. And that's at 9,000 Connor. >> Yes. >> Okay. And what do you guys do when you get back to 9,000 Conor? >> Uh he back in. We get out. Uh I proceed we proceed to working on the Jaguar. I may have got out the car first with the parts and he was in the car with her for a second. I got out, started working on the Jaguar >> and Does what happens? What happens now? What do you guys do? >> Um, I believe she get out, get into the front seat, reposition herself to the front seat of his truck. Uh, it was colder that day. I believe she started the truck. Um, we started working on the Jaguar, putting the parts back on. Uh, it took a little minute. It's, like I said, it was a difficult job, so it took a while. Um, at some point, I believe his truck ran out of gas, so we had to stop what we were doing to um push his truck to the gas pump so he could get some gas. >> So, you said that she gets out of the car that that you guys were in? >> Yes. >> Okay. And then she gets into Jarvis's truck. >> No, no, no. We was always in Jarvis's truck. >> Okay. >> So, she gets out of the back seat and repositions herself to the front seat >> so she can start the cover. And tell me what kind of car or what kind of truck uh start to drive? >> Uh Escalade. >> Okay. >> And what color? >> Uh it's pearl white. >> What if you if you can see what is the the his knees doing? while you guys are working on. >> Oh, I believe she's on her cell phone, I believe. >> Um, does Jarvis ever uh take his niece anywhere that like while you guys are working at the shop? >> Uh, no. >> No. Okay. Um, did you ask him if he was going to take her home at all? I believe I asked him was he going to drop her off when the truck ran out of gas. We had to push her to the pump. It was just a distraction from work. So I asked was he going to drop her off. He said no. >> And do you uh finish working? Did you finish working on the Jaguar that day? >> Yes. >> Okay. And what happens after you finish up on the Jaguar? >> I called my son Grandma and uh asked her how she was going to retrieve the vehicle. She said she was going to tow it back. I told her she didn't have to do that. That was just spending extra money. So I asked Jarvis, "Was it all right if we dropped it off?" He said yes. And we started making preparations to do so. >> About Do you recall about what time um you guys finished the Jaguar and and prepared to leave? M probably around 7:30ish somewhere around there. >> When do you do you guys eventually leave the shop? >> Yes. >> Okay. And tell me about the >> who all leave the shop? >> Me, Jarvis, and his niece. >> Okay. And tell me about the um driving arrangements. Um, so I drove by 300 and Jarvis drove the Jaguar. >> And where was his niece at? >> Uh, she was with him in the front seat of the Jaguar. >> Now, do you are you able to recall what his niece looked like that day? >> Uh, yes. um faintly, but yes. >> Um do you remember what kind of clothing she was wearing? >> I remember she had a jacket on, like I said, a coat. It was cold, so I think it was colorful. >> Colorful. >> Yeah. >> May I approach? >> Yes. >> Mr. closer to the people's proposed exhibit two and I'm going to direct you to the top left corner. Um can you tell me um is there anything that you recognize in that >> the jacket in channel one? >> Okay. And is that a fair and accurate depiction of the jacket that you seen uh his niece Jarvis's niece wearing that day? >> Yes. >> And I move for the admission of people's proposals exhibit two. Thank you. and heat. All right, real fast. Um, Noir Angel, I'm with you on um some of what you said as far as even though this man is a father himself, at minimum, I do think he looked the other way of anything that was suspicious. Anything that was off, I feel like he looked the other way. He also may have known more than that. He He might have done something. I don't know. But I I do believe at minimum he looked the other way. I'm I'm totally in agreeance with y'all on that because it's just some things that just don't add up to me. And yeah, you know, they asked him, "Did Jarvis's sons come too?" They okay, they they was at the shop. I believe that one might have been sporadically, but I really feel like those little girls were there all the time and it was odd. And then it's like, you know, your business partner went missing at some point on the shop. He's not working on cars and where are the little girls? Like I just feel like he knew something. I definitely am at least going to have to give it that he knew something and turned a blind eye. Um De Valentine said, "I wonder how he feels about Jarvis now after knowing the text messages." Yeah, I wonder too. Like are you a predator? Are you a Are you just a neglectful adult that just failed this little girl like some other adults that that um didn't violate her, but still could have helped her. Um so yeah, I do I do wonder about that depending on what uh I don't know what he's in prison for, but there are some things I definitely am wondering. I don't know what this man did or didn't do except I do feel like I can't be convinced he didn't at least turn a blind eye to what he suspected could be going on. Raise the red flags. >> I'm going to show you and then show you post exhibit three. Do you recognize what I just handed you? >> Yes. >> Thanks. Um, and is that a fair and accurate depiction of um, Jarvis's niece as you remember seeing her uh, back on January 9th, 2024? >> Yes. >> Okay. And is that the same niece that went with you to Ipsellani? >> Yes, it is. >> Okay. And I move for the admission of people's proposed exhibit >> three. No. Okay. It be exhibit three. Thank you. So you guys are driving to Miami. Um so you're driving in your 300 and Jarvis is driving the Jaguar with his knees. >> Yes. >> Okay. Um about how long did it take you guys to get to land? >> It was raining that day. So about 35 minutes. >> And when you get to what do you do? >> Uh we get out, we park the car, get out, we go in. My son's um grandma and I believe his auntie was there as well. So they g >> All right. the son, his son's auntie was the woman y'all saw on the stand in the um earlier part of some testimonies when she said, you know, Nziah didn't say much, but she did uh see them when uh he was driving Jarvis was driving the Jag with Nia. So basically with that time span that the prosecutor just asked, they were in the Jaguar by themselves for 35 minutes on their ride from that that shop on 9,000 Connor Street to Ipsellani to his son's grandmother's house. Um her name was Tlesia, I think it was Young, Hold on, that was the one that testified on the stand about seeing Nai on January 9th. Uh yeah, no, Tasia Moore, I'm sorry. Tasia Moore. And um but yeah, I also wonder what was cuz you know why not you know but J since since it was the last day I just want to know what was he saying to Naziah on that car ride while they were by themselves in that Jaguar driving to that uh lady's house because as Cordell says Cordell drove his 300. Then of course they had to drive the Jag because the Jag was going to get dropped off to the son his son's grandmother's house. then they were going to have to all ride back in his 300. Um I just it's just so much. But I'm sorry. I'm trying to read the chat too. So I'm sorry if I sound a little absent mind. I'm trying to keep up with everything. But I I really want to know what happened even in that 35minut ride. >> Listen um they you know they spoken to him before so they greet him and then my son grandma asked u who the little girl was. >> Did you introduce the little girl? >> No. >> Okay. Who introduced the little girl? >> Jarvis did. >> And what did Jarvis introduce her as? >> His niece. >> And about >> Okay, sorry. I I got to keep this straight because we probably we may not see this again depending on if it even makes it to trial in the sense of they may still end up doing a plea deal or something. I don't know. So, Miss Queen Liz says, "Why wouldn't she go inside the lady's house is all I'm wondering if it's cold." She did. She did go inside the lady's house. When they were asking earlier about it being cold, that was when they were still at the shop and Nia went to go turn his Pearl Escalade on. The Pearl Escalade did not go to Ipsellani to that woman's house. It was the red Jaguar and Cordell writes 300. So, when they were talking about it being cold and all that, that was that was still at the shop. That part was at the shop. Now, they're at the the grandma's house. Um, okay, we'll keep going. How long do you guys stay in LA? >> Not long. Maybe 15 minutes or so. Um, my son auntie had to go get the rest of our money that my son grandma didn't have. So, she went to the ATM. Um, >> what were you guys doing while she went to the ATM? >> Uh, talking >> talking. She was just telling us about other work she needed to did around her house, etc. So on and so forth. >> Okay. >> And was uh Mr. B with you the whole time? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Another good point brought up. put my kicks up, said, "Why did King say Naziah was a distraction?" I had I had a note about that. That's where I'm like, I feel like his if he's not a part of it in the sense that he's a predator himself. His hackles went up because how is she a distraction? He should just be working. She's supposed to be just sweeping up the shop. How is How is this little girl distracting Jarvis at the shop? How is she a distraction? Because I'm sure Jarvis was disappearing and not getting that that work done, turning out the cars like they normally would the days the girls wouldn't be in the shop, which means you notice something odd, something not right. And that's where I am with at least I feel like he at minimum turned a blind eye because yes, that is a very important statement that he felt like Naziah was a distraction. So you guys eventually leave. >> Yes. >> And tell me about the driving arrangements coming or leaving. >> Uh at this point we have we only have one vehicle which is mine. We get in drivers from the front. Um I believe Nia set behind me. Uh is >> that behind you? >> Yes. >> Okay. And is there any any kind of talking or conversation when you guys are driving? >> Uh, no. I got sounds in my car, so no. >> And do you recall um about what time you guys Where do you guys go when you leave? >> Back to 9,000 count. >> Okay. And do you recall about what time you guys get back to 9,000? probably around 8:45. I was cutting it close on the tether. >> What do you do when you get back to 900? >> Um, open up the shop door where he left. He left his truck in one of the bay. So, we opened up that bay door, went through the gas station cuz that's the way we enter the shop. Went through the gas station, opened the shop, opened one of the bay doors. Uh, went to the back and started splitting the money that we had made for the day. >> All right. before he continues about uh that part about them doing their money stuff. So now this timeline the grandmother said on that day Nazia didn't have any after school things scheduled. She did not make it home between her 300 p.m. to 3:05 p.m. on this day that they're doing all this riding around to Ipsellani and back. Naziah was supposed to be home. Um so she's missing. Then you're at 8:45 p.m. at night when she's making it back to the shop with Jarvis butts in him. The grandmother has not, as y'all know at this point, has not called the police. Hasn't done anything but just like, "Oh, huh. Nia's not home. I don't know where she is, but that's a that's a problem for tomorrow." Because she doesn't say anything until the next day. And even then, I don't like that she still didn't call the police. She goes to the school instead of calling the police. I cannot. But um so I'm just saying though all this time is passing where Naziah is still here. She's somebody could still be looking for her. Um the aunt knows Nazia is usually going to be with Jarvis. Why isn't anybody texting his phone about, hey, it's past time that we supposed to see Nia? Have you seen her? Just anything. Just any type of care. And I know the answer. They didn't care. But I'm just saying like the these were hours, precious hours that somebody could have been looking for her. That's it wasn't normal. As the judge said in her remarks, uh Naziah was not one to be running away and all this other stuff. It wasn't normal. She was off schedule and the adults that know her schedule were not actively looking for her. So now he's talking about getting back at around 8:45 p.m. to the shop on 9,000 Connor Street. not, you know, so they're still out at night. Um, and like he said, the reason he remembers the time is cuz his tether he has he can leave the house at 6:00 a.m. and he's got to be back in that house by 9:00 p.m. when he had that ankle bracelet on. And he wore that ankle bracelet. Let me see if I have it. Hold on. Sorry. If I can't find it, I'll just hit play cuz I'm not trying to hold y'all up. But I'll find it. I'll come back about how long he had that ankle bracelet on. But he does a lot of his time stamps based on if he did or did not have that ankle bracelet. When they ask him when did you speak to the police? The first time he still had the ankle bracelet. The second third time he believes he didn't have the ankle bracelet. He goes a lot by when he was and wasn't wearing the ankle bracelet. So that's why it's sticking to my mind and these times because he's going by the ankle bracelet ruled his life at that time. >> Um and separating the receipts, etc. >> Um where do you see his niece go? >> Uh getting his truck. Do you recall um where at this truck? She got into >> passenger seat. >> Is the front passenger, back passenger or something else? >> Front passenger. >> And where is Mr. B at? >> Back in the back would be separating the cash. >> And when you leave, do you lock up the shop? >> No, I left first. >> You left first. Okay. So when you leave, who's still at the shop? >> Jarvis and his niece. >> Do you see them leave the shop at all? >> No. And have you seen uh or have you seen Jarvis's niece, the one that was with you on the nine? Um, have you seen her since January 924? >> No. >> Now, I want to talk about um the day after that you guys went to. So, January 10th. Um, do you recall um if Mr. B was at work that day? >> I don't think he was. >> What makes you think that he wasn't? >> I believe he called me like three times, four times. No reason for him to call me if he was standing right next to me. >> I don't think he's speculating police. >> Can you as a question? >> Yes. Uh, so you said that you don't believe he was at work because he would call you. He called you so often. >> He called me. We >> All right. Stopping for a second. Okay. Um, couple things. So, they get back to that shop at 8:45 p.m. He doesn't close up the shop. He just leaves, leaves a he leaves a grown man with his little girl by themselves at night. Don't know when they left, what happened or whatever. Um, and then, oh gosh, Jamie, I read your comment. I'm going with you on that one. Um, Diana, no, she she did go missing January 9th. She was present and accounted for until January 9th. That part is not I I'm not sure what source that is, but there is even video footage of her from January 9th because I I did mistake I was mistaken on one part where the school bus even showed her dropping getting dropped off on January 9th. Then you have people that physically saw her on January 9th. The stranger saw her. The aunt to his uh his son's grandmother that's on the stand right now or his son's sorry, the aunt to his son saw her physically on January 9th. Then Jarvis But's sister, I believe, saw her on January 9th. She was present electronically and physically in front of people on January 9th. So, she didn't go missing before January 9th. >> Oh, that was the other thing. Then he doesn't show up the next day on January 10th to work. That's the other thing. So that's that's Jarvis doesn't show up. So he's January 9th he um he's there, you know, until nighttime. We don't know what happened after that. Then January 10th, he's not at the shop. >> 30 minute conversation on one account and then we had another conversation about 15 minutes. So >> Okay. So that makes you believe in your mind that he was actually >> What's the question? asking based on those conversations in his mind to him that means that Mr. was not at the shop with him. I don't think that's stating a conclusion already. >> So you can >> one more time. I'm sorry. >> Sorry. So based on the length of those phone calls um and the times of death did that make you believe that Mr. It's not the shot, >> right? >> Um, did Jarvis ever mentioned to you about his niece being missing? >> No. >> Have you talked to Mr. But um, aside from that alcohol that we played, um, since uh turning itself in. >> No. >> And do you know someone? Do you know any of Jarvis's siblings? >> Yes. >> And which sibling do you know? Um, I met his brother and I met his sister. >> Okay. Um, you talked to his sister. Um, that do you remember if would his sister ever come to the shop? >> Sporadically. >> Sporadically. Okay. Um, and uh are there times that you talk to her? >> Yes. >> Okay. And um Had you talked to her about uh Jarvis's niece being up there? >> Um after the police questioned me, I believe she came up there and we spoke about it. Yes. [clears throat] And Mr. Wright, I had asked you earlier about if you've seen Mr. But in the courtroom that you couldn't see him. >> Yes. May I >> and I'm hold showing you with people's proposed exhibit nine. Um can you tell me if you uh recognize that photo? >> Yes. >> And who is it in that photo? >> Jarvis. >> Okay. Next. Jarvis Butts. >> Yes. >> Okay. Now for the uh admission of people's control exhibit 9's exhibit 9. >> Thank you and Mr. Right. I kind of want to direct your attention back to people who did it. People did it three. I'm sorry. Um here where I'm holding it. >> Yes. >> Okay. And do you know who this um person in this photo is now? >> Yes. >> Okay. And who do you know her as now? >> Uh Naziah. And the next time that you see um bus after uh January next 24, do you um see any injuries on him? >> Um no, I don't believe I see any injuries. Good morning. >> Good morning. You said that I believe um in your testimony that you have known Mr. Butts uh since about 2019. Is that right? >> That's correct. >> Okay. And you said you met at France, the shop that you worked at. >> That's correct. >> Um and you said you guys worked together at Franks for about two years. >> That's correct. >> And so that means in about 2020 you opened up the shop on Connor. Is that >> No. In 2021, I went to prison. >> Okay. >> So that's why we didn't work together for that period of time. >> So you came back? >> I came back and we went back to same thing >> at Franks. >> Yes. >> And what year was that? >> That was 2023. >> Okay. And so then how long after you came back were you the two of you have friends together? >> Um maybe a few months till maybe like the middle of the year. So maybe around either June. It was before summer. So maybe around April. It was still a little cold outside. >> Okay. Um so in the early spring >> uh of 2023 is when you said that you you think that you opened up the shop at 9. >> Yes. It could have been earlier than that but yes around >> and so you became business partners. >> Yes. >> Um did you hear from business partners? >> Yes. >> Okay. You also consider Mr. Bugs a friend at that point? >> Yes. Um, as far as the business arrangement, you said it was a 50-50 split. Did you split it every day at the end of the day or >> every day? At the end of the day. >> Okay. >> Um, now back around the beginning of 2024, maybe the end of 2023, um, were you seeing a woman in Clinton Township? >> A woman in Clinton Township? >> Yes. um a friend of a woman named Shannon Harris >> in 24. >> Yes. >> No. >> Or ever? >> Yes. >> When when were you seeing her? >> Um it was probably was 200 maybe 19 or 20. >> So before you went >> before I went to prison. >> Okay. >> Did you and Mr. Butts ever have a falling out about that? >> Uh no. um you >> she never really followed through with that asking about uh them having a falling out and you know she was trying to search out some conflict between them but she never followed through with it later like to say like um I don't know I I assume she was trying to go there with like him having a motive to say he saw Naziah when he didn't or to go against Jarvis or something, but she never really went anywhere with that line of questioning about um did they have an argument or conflict or you know all this other stuff. She just kind of dropped it at some point. >> Did you talk about your personal lives >> sometimes? Yes. >> And you'll spend their days at work together, right? Right. >> So it came up >> of course. >> Um talk about girlfriends >> of course. >> Uh do women often come to the shop looking for Mr. thoughts >> sporadically. >> Did he often did he talk to you about the various women that he would be seeing or juggling? Maybe >> that happened. >> Okay. Um did it sometimes cause drama in the shop? >> It happens. >> What would come up and confront Mr. Butts? >> It happens. >> Maybe about other women that he was seeing. >> Happens. >> Did you ever feel like that was affecting the business? Not at Frank's. >> What about at the business that you owned at Connor? >> N it didn't happen as much there. >> Didn't happen as much in Conor. >> Right. >> Okay. >> Now, um sometime I guess while the two of you all were working together, you had a friend that was I guess talking to or trying to date one of Mr. But's daughters. Is that correct >> that happened? >> Uh the daughter was 21 22. >> She was somewhere around there. I'm not 100% certain, but yeah, around that age. 20 21 22. >> And that caused an issue for Mr. Bugs. >> It did. >> Uh he got pretty upset with his friend. >> It did. I was in prison at the time. So, but yes, I was involved directly. >> Okay. >> Did you ever hear about an altercation that happened between the two of them? >> Some kind of altercation did occur. Yes. >> Was it your impression that Mr. But was pretty protective of her? >> Uh, yeah. >> Based on that, >> based on that, >> do you know how many children Mr. But has >> 13? >> Um, and you said that some of them would come to the shop. >> Yes, I have. >> You're familiar with them? >> Yeah. >> And I can ask you name every all of them. But at the shop on Connor, you said these ones would come. His son will come sometimes and stay the day with us. >> Um, and his daughter. >> She'll come sometimes and stay the day with us. >> And what's her name? Do you recall? >> No, I don't want to misname it. >> Okay. >> I think it's someone with a J or something like that though, but I'm not 100% certain. >> Was she like a teenager? >> Uh, he has a teenager. She come up there sometime, but not really the littlest one. Maybe nine, seven, eight, nine, somewhere around there. >> Okay. Um, and then his niece would also come. >> Yes. >> Would she come typically with his own children? >> Um, when I first met her, yes, that's that's how I met her with his daughter. She would always come with his daughter. They would come up there sometimes to get air in their tires. Maybe money, you know, just typical kids stuff. >> Did he ever or did the two of you ever have them like doing chores around the shop >> sometimes? Did Mr. want to talk to you about his children. >> Yes. >> You talk about spending time with them. >> Yes. I believe he lived with the majority of them. >> And you said that um you mentioned Tasha. She's one of the mothers of Correct. >> Is that who he was living with at the time? >> Um no, I don't believe so. Now, you said, I believe in your testimony that you >> I'mma go back a few seconds cuz I'm interrupting her question, but um what is going on? Hold on. Oh, Lord. Lord. Okay. Um, put up my kick said, "Were his kids distractions?" Great question because it was very specific about Nziah being pointed out as a distraction, which to me is like that means you got a red flag about how he was with Naziah, but you're not saying the sons were distractions, the other of the 13 kids were distractions. You said Naziah was a distraction. And that's why I go back to I think he turned a blind eye to some things. I'm with you on that one. Great question. Put my kicks up. >> Um, no. I don't believe so. Now, you said, I believe in your testimony, that you had been to Ipsellani twice with Mr. Bucks. Is that >> or three times? One or >> possibly could have been three. >> It could have possibly been three. I'm not 100% certain. >> Okay. Now, one of the times that um his niece was at the shop was you said on January the night? >> First time I've seen her by herself. Yes. >> Okay. I mean, that's because y'all picked her up on Harper. >> Yes. >> Did Mr. Butt seem surprised that he saw her? >> Um I'm not sure. I couldn't really, you know, we was riding. I wasn't really paying attention to his expression. He just said, "Hey, there go my niece." I didn't see her. So, he pointed her out to me. >> And at that time, you only knew her as his niece. Correct. Yes. >> You didn't have any idea what her name was at that time? >> No. >> And in [clears throat] fact, the only way the reason you learned her name was when you identified that picture that was just shown to you and the police told you what her name was. Is that fair to say? >> That's fair, sir. >> Um, now in the time that you were at the on the 9th with Mr. Butts and his niece, did you see any inappropriate behavior or anything that made you raise your eyebrows between the two of them? >> No. >> What about any of the other times that his niece would have been there in the shot? Did you ever see any behavior that um made you question or thought was inappropriate? I can't say I have. >> Now, um, the three of you wrote back from Absol on January 9th. That was your testimony, right? >> Yes. >> Um, was there any conversation between Mr. Butts and his niece in the car? >> There was no conversation between really nobody. I had the music on. Um, and I'm going to back up to earlier in the day. Um, when the three of you, um, came to the chest the first time after you picked her up from on Harper. >> Okay. >> Um, you said that she pretty much stayed in Mr. Butt's car the whole time. >> Yes. >> She said she was on her phone. >> Yes. Um, did you ever leave the shop at all after that before you guys went to Italy? >> Um, maybe in the gas station. >> So, not just the attached gas station. >> Yeah, maybe to the gas station. I'm not sure if I actually physically left the building. I'm not sure. >> You would have been from more than like 5 or 10 minutes >> if I ever left. No, maybe to use the bathroom. So, maybe 10 minutes tops if I had to leave. You never know about farts at any place that you can recall. >> Not that I can recall. >> Um, now after January 9th, um, what was the next time you said that you saw Mr. B? >> The 11th. >> The 11th. Okay. He was not at work on the 10th. >> No. >> Okay. Were you there on time on the 10th? Do you recall? >> I'm never on time. What time did you come in on the 10th? >> Probably about 8:40. I go to the gym, so it's I'm We open at 8, but I'm I'm never there at 8. So, I probably got there maybe 8:49. >> And, um, on the 10th, were you the one that opened the shop? >> Yes. >> Now, um, you were aware at that time that Mr. Buzz was supposed to turn himself in and serve at jail sentence jail. That correct? >> Yes, I am. You talked about that obviously because he was going to have to leave the business for a while. >> Correct. >> Okay. Um and you actually went to the courthouse on the day he turned himself in to support him, right? >> Yes, I was there. >> Um and he was serving he was going to be serving time on a gun possession charge. Is that right? >> That's correct. >> If you know >> that's correct. >> Okay. Um and because you were kind of paying attention to what was happening, you understood that the court date had gotten changed a few times. Um yeah, he told me that it got changed the um so I believe he's supposed to get sentenced on the 9th, but um it got pushed back to February the 7th. So I know I mean he I learned that through him. Not I didn't go to court with him that time, but just when he got sentences, I went to court with him that time. >> Are you familiar with any um court dates that he had out in Clint Township around that time? >> Um he did say he had something going on with his daughter. I believe um I believe it was domestic with a daughter of some sort. So yeah, >> what scares me is the thing that he said he had going on with his daughter that was domestic is because a lot of y'all know he also violated his daughter and um gave her an STD. And I'm wondering if that was the domestic thing he had to deal with with his daughter or not. But yeah, his January 9th court date was rescheduled. He told the court he had to deal with other legal issues or something. And of course in prosecution's closing argument, they were saying they believed him dealing with the other legal issue was him taking making Nia not a problem for him anymore. But right before he went in to serve his sins on his other thing that he was going to court for. >> I was familiar with that. I believe >> was he going to court for that at that same time? >> Around about I believe it was supposed to be. Yes. >> Okay. >> Um now you've been involved because point you became aware that uh the Detroit police wanted to talk to you back in February? >> Uh they came to the shop and picked me up. >> Okay. They actually took you down >> to headquarters. >> Okay. And that was the first time on February 13th. Is that right? >> That was February 13th. 31st Valentine. >> Um then you said you spoke with them again a couple days later. >> Um yes. I believe the first time I spoke with him I was still on tether. So it had to be sometime after I was off tether. Yeah. >> And then you spoke with him again in March, right? >> Yes. And was that a phone conversation? >> Uh, no. All of our conversations was via person. >> Okay. Um, and then a couple weeks ago, um, did you also speak with the police? >> Yes. >> And the prosecutors? >> Um, I don't know if a prosecutor, but yes, I believe she far. Yes. >> Okay. Um now in February when you were talking to the police uh by that time had you seen uh anything on the news or on social media about um who you believe later was Mr. Bud? >> No. >> So at the time you were interviewed about the police you didn't know anything about? >> No. >> Okay. And at the time that you were talking to the police, um, while you were on tether in February, um, you're on because you're on parole, right? >> Yes, that's correct. >> Okay. And, uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but you had about 3 weeks left on parallel at that point. >> Not three weeks. In February, >> yes, >> I had three weeks left on Tether. I got off actual parole in May. >> Okay. So, the tether was coming off, but you were still going to have to report >> three more at once after the tether came off. >> And in February, I believe it was the second conversation that you had with a detective presumably, um you and the um officer or the detective spoke about the tether, right? Do you recall that? >> I believe so. Yes. um because you were concerned every time you would go somewhere you would be late. You were very home on time, >> right? >> Um and in fact, he actually said, "Hey, you know, we'll take care of you if anything pops up, right?" >> He said, "I I talked to your PO, so you're fine." >> Okay. Um and he also kind of warned you that um that you didn't want to get somebody upset about the way you were answering these questions um and have somebody feel some kind of way about you. Do you recall him saying that to you? >> He may have said something to that extent. I'm not sure though you this is the first conversation or the second you asked me >> the second right right at the top of the conversation >> he may I can't really recall that word I know we was they were a little agitated I was a little agitated there was a lot going on so maybe >> it's possible that conversation >> it's possible >> did you understand any of his um statements while you're talking to him uh to mean that the police wanted you to give answers um that if you didn't give answers that they could mess with your parole or your t status. >> It goes to his state of mind, >> but he doesn't know what happened. >> It's about what he believes might happen and could impact what he said. >> Um, was it your understanding that if you didn't give certain answers that the police might impact your role or your other sense? Um, >> was that a concern of yours? >> I mean, it was already affecting my tether, so I wasn't really, you know what I mean, concerned about how he placed his questions upon me? No. So, I mean, more of a concern was my being picked up by the police. Police contact is a a violation of parole within itself. So, I was violated for the police contact irregardless to whatever he was saying. Get what I mean? So, no, I don't believe it impacted anything at all, actually. >> But your parole wasn't actually revoked because they took you to the station and interviewed you, right? >> No. >> Um, now, we talked a little bit about this a few minutes ago. Mr. Butts was juggling a few different women during the time you knew him. >> Yes. Um, so this is why I just kind of went back and forth between his testimony hurts Jarvis butts more than it helps him because the defense was trying to see if the police were pressuring him to answer in a way that would help them, you know, prosecute Jarvis butts and he's saying he didn't feel pressured by them. So that's why I feel like if anything his testimony more even though it's it's vague and he's careful with his answers, it more helps prosecution than it helps uh Jarvis's side. Also, I know they were talking about these altercations and he kept saying it happens. It happens. Like did y'all argue over women? He said it happens. Did y'all you know all this stuff? He just kept saying it happens. But then by the time they got to that I think that call was on February 8th. That prison call was on February 8th and Jarvis called him to trick Tashiana into bringing her car up there so uh Cordell could look for that phone. And Cordell said yes. And not only did he say yes, he did end up, you know, getting her to bring the car up there. He didn't find the phone, but he did follow through with that. So, I'm like, even if they had conflict, I don't it must not have been that much conflict because you could say, "Oh, yeah, I'll do it and then not do it." But he did actually uh have her bring the car up there so he could look for the phone. So, I don't know. I do believe they had conflict in the shop about women, but I don't I guess it it didn't run too too deep cuz Jarvis was still asking for a favor. Cordell was still doing the favor. Now, like he said after that last call and basically I think after the first time the police interviewed him, him being Cordell, I think he said he hadn't had any more contact with Jarvis after that point. >> And it's hard to keep up with all those baby mamas. >> I mean I mean it wasn't my job. So yeah. >> And his baby mas, >> right? >> Um did you get the impression from Mr. Butts that he didn't want these women to know about each other. >> Of course. >> Um, and a woman named Tasha was one of Mr. Butts ladies. >> Yes. >> And that was one of his baby mama's. >> Yes. Yes. >> Um, so there was some discussion about a phone call um between you and Mr. Butts while he was at the jail about uh his phone, right? >> Yes. And um after that phone conversation, Tasha actually came into the shop to get some work done on the car. >> Yes. She came to get a oil change in a headlight. >> And that's when you went and kind of looked for the phone. >> Yes. >> Now, you didn't really want Tasha to know that you were looking for the phone, right? >> Of course not. >> And the reason for that was >> she's going to wonder why I'm looking for a phone. >> And was u your impression that Mr. but was afraid it would reveal that he was talking to other women. >> Of course. >> And so you're trying to help him >> keep peace. >> Of course. >> Hey >> [clears throat] >> Um I think testimony was on the the 9th um and correct me if I'm wrong but there was um an issue during the day Mr. Buds had his escalator there. Is that correct? >> Yes. >> And he had run out of gas. >> Yes. >> And he had to get gas. Is that correct? >> That's correct. >> And some way you pushed him to the uh or helped push the escalade to a gas pump. >> Yes. Um, do you recall leaving with him that night and going and getting gas together >> for his truck or what were we saying? Um, >> or for like a gas can. What do you >> Well, either one. Did you all leave the shop to um perhaps you in your vehicle and he and his vehicle and end up at a gas station? >> Uh, no. >> On the night? >> No. You don't have any recollection of that? >> I don't remember nothing. No. Okay. I think that's all. Thank you. All right. So, that's where his testimony ended. Um, I do believe it helped fill in some gaps, especially for me because I didn't realize his testimony had happened so early. So, the very first person I believe I saw testify when I when I um was able to start watching it was the his Cordell Wright's son's aunt testifying that she saw um Naziah and but she didn't she didn't know at the time who Naziah was and uh Jarvis introduced Naziah as her niece and all that stuff cuz the grandmother said, "Oh, who's this little girl?" Um the grandmother being his son's grandmother, not Naziah's grandmother, obviously. Um, but I'm trying to I just want to make sure some things are straight as we continue on. And I know I don't know everything and Lord forgive my memory on some things, but the shop, from what I understand, there was a piece of a mattress they collected to be sampled at the to be swabbed at the shop. Um, also I believe there was a shower cuz they they also um pulled some stuff out of a drain in the shop. So there was definitely some type of privateish room at that shop. So just on January 9th, Desiah may not have gone into that shop like that possibly, but she definitely was there on those other times over the span of that year plus that she was in that room to me at least sometimes. And then like Jamie said, I didn't get to see the minor's testimony, but I do know about that there is a minor's testimony based on the closing arguments is how I know about um the minor caught them one time. The minor saw things you know they shouldn't see. And then of course something Nia's a minor so she's you know violated as a minor. So, yes, if he's that careless to where another child happens to walk in, then I'm with y'all on Cordell had to have seen something cuz Jarvis was careless anyway. He's not even really trying to hide anything. I I I think that it's it's I don't understand, but bros stick together even when it even when that bro is a predator. And again, Cordell could be a predator, too. I don't know. But, like I said, I know at least he turned a blind eye in my opinion. I just feel like he did. And then again, specifically, he called Naziah a distraction, but what about all the other kids? And he kind of said, "Yeah, Jarvis was not kind of, but he did say Jarvis was juggling multiple women as well, and that would also cause conflict, but the other kids weren't referred to as a distraction." Um, why do you think What are you talking about? She Oh, okay. Um, okay. Hold on. Let me catch up. Right. Yeah. No, no. And let me be straight again. The grandmother of the Jaguar is Cordell's son's grandmother. Not talking about Naziah's grandmother in this instance when I'm referring to grandmother. That other grandmother, Annette. I believe Annette knew something. And Naziah's grandmother knew something. We're talking about just for this date on January 9th when they were dropping off that Jaguar. Naziah was a stranger to Cordell's son's grandmother and Cordell's son's aunt. But yes, if we get back to Naziah's guardian grandmother, nobody in this chat believes that that grandmother didn't know anything. We all think that. So I was like, let me clarify when I say grandmother who I'm talking about. That was specific to to Cordell's testimony when I'm saying grandmother. Um, okay. What else? I'm trying to make sure some things are straightened out. Do you think something took place to start all this? By their text? No. By their text, they didn't. Uh, Lovely Sunflower said, "Do you think something took place to start all this?" By their text, they seem fine, right? It's like something took place, but what? Lovely sunflower, if you can handle it. the the Sergeant Jones read out all the texts and no, by their text, it did not seem fine. It was horrible. Um, by September 2023, she was saying, "I missed my period. I think I'm pregnant." Then it was another month she said, "I can't do this gymish with this baby." No. The text message clearly showed things were not fine at all by the time we get to January 9th, 2024. Yes. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, sorry. I was trying to give y'all something in the background. Okay. Yes. Um, Annette was probably Annette was the first to testify. You're right. Putting my kicks up. Annette, then Shannon, then somebody else, then that lady. You're right. You're right. You're right. And that's the order of my notes, too. I guess she's the first one that said she had seen Nziah. Maybe that's where my brain is. But yes, you're right. Annette after him and I didn't see him till today when I went looking for him. But yes, uh Annette was the first to testify beginning in January 2025. Noir Angel said, "I'm still stuck on nobody noticed she was pregnant." They all knew at minimum the grandmother, the aunt, they they knew she was pregnant. They knew. And oh my gosh, if I have time, y'all, I want to splice together when the prosecution asked Shannon, "Was this you that texted Jarvis, let's say on June 7th, 2023?" And then Shannon reads that highlighted part. And then now we know what the highlighted part said for those dates. I really want to get that together. Um, it's all about time permitting because I want y'all to see what Shannon was reading because she didn't have to read it out loud like Sergeant Sergeant Shannon Jones had to read out loud. The aunt Shannon didn't have to read that text out loud. She just got to read it to herself and then say, "No, that's not me." But then you come to find out the horrifying thing she's reading to herself because later we have Sergeant uh Shannon Jones reading it out loud and I just I'm just like you're looking at this and this is what was being texted to your niece and what your niece was texting to him and you're just like whatever. And somebody had put in the comments that she's still putting money on his books and stuff. I under the jail for all of them. the grandmother, Shannon, Jarvis, for sure them three under the jail. Jamie said they knew that the child was asking Jarvis to get her pass last summer in 2023. So, how did they not notice for months that the child didn't need pass? Right. Right. And the judge put them on that too when she was like, "You have you both have birthed children and you have a 13-year-old that went from using pads to not asking for any pads and you're not noticing this and she's having to ask this grown man to get her pads. Yeah. Yep. No remorse. Yep. Yeah, and also because I may have some some new people here. Thank you, lovely sunflower. Because I'm hoping to keep that. I know I can't always control my chat, but when people are asking questions in here, they're honestly asking to know and they're just they're stating an opinion based on things that they've observed. So there's no don't don't come attacking people in the chat because you have your way and they have their way of thinking because I can tell you now so far everyone in this chat what we do agree on is the adults failed Desiah Jarvis is a monster and most of us do believe at minimum the aunt and the grandmother knew. So yeah, it's no point in coming and attacking the people that are here that also want justice for Naziah. I'm I I just don't even that's not a tone that we kind of set over here. We're just trying to see what's going on. We hate that this happened to a child or anybody and we're just watching to see what's going on. Yeah, the conversation between him and Isiah was horrible. He definitely groomed her. He manipulated her. He even sent her out to find another victim, basically. It's It's crazy. Yeah. All right, y'all. So, that's the end for tonight. I will probably see you again later on this week. Um, if you want me to continue to try to find any other uh testimony I missed, I will. Just let me know. I'm not trying to beat a dead horse, but there's some things I hadn't seen. And then some of y'all are in here getting the refresher as well. Um, so yeah. So, this is where we're at. I appreciate y'all again for being here, spending time with me, and I will see you soon. All right. Bye.
