PLEASE STOP. STAY WHERE YOU ARE NOW. STEP OUT TOWARDS US NOW. Back up. Back up. Back up. Over the next hour. Put your hands behind your back. From 9:00 p.m. He slit both his wrists in the bathroom. Is he responsive at all? >> No, he's not answering. This program follows incidents that occur in one of Britain's major police forces. If you threaten any officer, you'll be put straight down on the floor. No messing. >> Tell me where you were before the collision. Dealing with crimes and cases active between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. Violent crimes, murder. Someone's just said that they've been chopped. Minute by minute. Just found some heroin. Against the clock. I wasn't hurting anyone. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Constant calls. There's no letup. This is police hour of duty. I'm going to send a police officer straightaway. Okay? Game on. Hello, Dodge. Please. He's trying to hurt you. How is he trying to hurt you? And is he got a knife with him now? Report of a fight, large disturbance. Listen to me. Now we're saying that there's somebody laying on the train line. Around the face, around the head. Whereabouts did he hit you? Who is it that's [music] laid down on the track? I need to know where you are. Okay? So, you need to tell me where you are. Bravo X-ray Zulu. Task force [music] received last as well. Go ahead. Do you want to start kitting up and get ready for the strike being called at [music] the home address over? Task force, yes, yes. We're already to go. Yeah, received. Can we move on to channel 19? Go ahead. They're going to want us to strike imminently, so we're just getting ready to go. Just turn the back lights on for us. Find your best route to secure entry to the address and to detain anybody inside the address and to do it as swiftly as possible. So, today's operation is in relation to an organized crime group involved [music] in a large-scale trafficking and supply of class A and B controlled drugs. Cocaine, heroin, >> [music] >> crack cocaine. They have a well-organized structure and capability to commit serious crime and are not intimidated by other criminal groups in the area. A warrant is to be executed on the address where occupants are believed to be dealing large amounts of class A drugs. Recent intelligence suggests that during the evening, the target drops off class A drugs and packages are exchanged. They do have a Staffordshire terrier. We're not aware of it being a problem. And we'll go from there. Okay. Thanks, everyone. We are targeting an organized crime group. They operate from an address in Chesterfield where they will take a number of drugs to that address and then those drug dealers will knock out those drugs on that address. It's massively important to target them at all levels. If you can imagine a pyramid and the very top people will not know the very bottom people in that pyramid. To get to those top people, you have to take out the bottom ladders. If you're taking out their dealers, they have to either recruit new dealers or they have to get hands-on themselves and that's where you can start targeting the higher levels. You've got an ETA over? 30 seconds. Your adrenaline starts going at this point. You never know entirely who's going to be inside until you get inside. That makes it exciting, I suppose. Task force, received. You can start making your way. Negative, task force. Stay put for a minute. All right, standby. We've got a white Audi that's subject to direct. Task force, received. Male's gone into the address with package over. Standby. Standby. Standby. Strike. Strike. Strike. Hit the address over. Clear. Clear. Clear. Clear. Clear. Police. Stay there. Watch the dog. He's safe. Listen to me. Listen to me. You need to keep your hands where I can see them. No, I'm ready. No sudden movements cuz if you're making a sudden movement, you will be detained. Right, we've got a warrant to search this address for drugs and items linked to drug dealing. Okay? Where's the drugs in this house? >> There aren't any. I've got a bit of weed. That's it. >> That's it, right. That's all it is. That's all I touch. Weed, small weed. That's it. Where's your phone? >> is, mate. Don't Don't touch it. Put it down. >> All right. Whose is that phone on there? It's an old phone. It's an old phone. >> Right. You're under this control now, so no sudden movements. All right? You've got to understand the impact that these people have on the community. There are hundreds of people using that address for their drug use. People are banging on doors high on drugs and wanting to score during the 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 in the morning. If we can take him out, he will be gone from that address, meaning that it's a better life for the local community. They're not having their children in the parks coming across needles. It's not just about taking them out. It's the community impact. Jesus Christ, they're the brand new door. So, there's just been one arrest made now. >> Yeah. So, we're going to leave that with them. We're going to go in and search the house. Come here, mate. Have we got a lead for this dog? Vehicle continuing Walton Road. Police emergency. And does he come to you and told you that he's taken an overdose? How do you know he's a drink driver? Don't let him know that you're on the phone to the police for me cuz that could spook him and he could run off again. Where is he now? You say he's been drinking all day? Yeah. And he's now decided to slit his wrists. So, you saw that he definitely cut his wrists before he went into the bathroom? Yeah, my mom did. >> Was it bleeding a lot? Quite a bit, she said. How long's he been in there for? About 15 to 30 minutes. Is he responsive at all? No, I can't see him. He's not answering. What did he say to your mom when he said that he was going to slit his wrists? He shouted that she won't help him die. Yes, yes. We've had a call from a female complaining her brother has locked himself in the bathroom and has slit his wrists. He's been in the bathroom about 30 minutes and won't come out. Yeah, received. We've got two officers on the way. Okay? Okay. Has he ever done anything like this before, Kelly? No. Okay. If anything changes, if he starts kicking off or anything like that or if you hear anything from him, just give us a call straight back. Okay, Kelly? I believe he's got a knife on him. But, our biggest worry is is that he's self-harmed to the extreme where he's deceased or he's intending to do that when we get [music] there or that his intentions are to hurt one of us when we get there. Each second is [music] critical. The few seconds could be the difference between that person surviving [music] and not surviving. You've always got that in the back of your mind, what I'm going to see when I get there. To the left. To the left. He could have self-harmed in the most horrendous way possible. Is it your brother, ducky? >> Yeah. You literally have to take it from that moment you see what you've got in front of you. What's brought this on today? He's splitting up with his ex. What's he got with him in? Um razor blades. That's what he cut his wrists with. So, what's his name? Ashley. Ashley. [snorts] No, let me go out. I can't stand anymore. What's all this about? Go out. What's up? Yeah. Yeah. Ashley, it's the police, mate. Ashley, you going to open the door for us, pal? I can't hear you, buddy. Say that again. I want to die. You going to open the door for us, pal? Say that again, Ashley. Yeah, they've gone. Oh, yeah. Oh. Ashley, where's the razor blades, mate? There. Do you want to Do you want to just step out, mate? Open the door and come in, please. They're They're They're outside. Right. Mate, let's have a look at your wrists. I don't care no more. I want I want to die. Oh, no. I told my mom that, but There's no one outside. There's no one outside. Step into the light, mate. Let's have a look at your wrists. Let's have a look at it, mate. I've felt like this for ages, mate. How much have you had to drink? 11 bottles of golden brew. That's it. I just want to feel I feel like dying. That's what I felt like. No weed. What's brought this on, buddy? Girlfriend. Your girlfriend? What's happened with your girlfriend? Fell out with each other. Have you split up? When did you split up with her, Ashley? A week ago. And you got no more razor blades on you, have you? >> No. I'll have a quick check, mate. All right. Okay. Yeah, we arrived here and we were speaking to Ashley. He's drunk. Uh he's got some cuts to his left arm. Do you think we need an ambulance for him? I'll I'll call to you and see what they suggest uh for taking him to hospital or not. Yeah, we see. Listen, just to reassure you, all right? We're not here to say you've done anything wrong or anything like that. We're here to look after your welfare. >> [music] >> Okay. I can quite clearly see that you've got I won't say substantial injuries. You've made a bit of a mess of yourself. >> not going to stop me doing it anymore. All right. It's what I feel like doing. All right. We're going to get an ambulance for you. Well, not worth it, really, is it, an ambulance? Well, they need to have a look at you. Uh cuz there's not not just your injuries. We've got to cover go look after your mental health as well, aren't we? All right. You're not having a good time at the minute, are you? No. All right. Bit of upset in your life. All right. So, let's see if we can get you squared away, yeah? Um he's compos mentis. He's quite happy for us to for us to take him to the hospital and just get it checked over and a mental health assessment. You're happy to take him to the A&E. Well, I'm happy to take him and he's happy to come with us, so I I >> [music] >> I'm guessing it's a no-brainer, isn't it? Well, that's where we'll be heading. Come on, then, buddy. Let's get you in this car. We're going to mental health issues on a day-by-day basis. It seems to have got worse over time. I think it's people are struggling. It's not uncommon, believe it or not. This is a a regular thing we come to. Possibly a cry for help. You're not dressed anyway, I think, so. Yeah, they will do. Some jobs that you go to and days later, weeks later, you um you're still thinking I could have done this more, could have done that more. There's somebody's son, somebody's daughter, somebody's mom, somebody's father. How you doing? We're just here to look after you. We're not saying you've done anything wrong. Yeah. Police emergency. Right, I need you to slow down. I need you to tell me where you are, okay? I need your address. Has he still got the hammer? Police emergency. I'm security. It's guard, all right? Yeah. There's a motorbike on the road. There's nobody around here. The motorbike's laid dangerously on the corner. Sorry, there's a motorbike left outside? It's been stolen from Sports Direct and dumped here. If it's just been stolen and dumped, then the owner might not know, so let us make some inquiries. I'm not able to wave cars around here at the moment. All right, okay. I've generated an incident for you. I'm going to send a police officer straight away, okay? Yeah, 24. There's a stolen bike. Just going to head to the area to see if we can uh just trying to find out where this bike's gone. The informant, have they moved it anywhere? The informant's down at the point. Yes, cuz they said it was initially dumped in the road. And earlier before I got theft in progress. All right. Yeah, there's two motorbikes in Shirebrook driving without lights on. Yeah, they've just uh ditched another motorbike. So, they've just ditched one of them? Yes, yes. Not sure which way he's going to take now. Police, stop! STAY WHERE YOU ARE NOW! GET ON THE GROUND! STOP RESISTING! GET ON THE GROUND! GET ON THE GROUND NOW! AND THEN YOU'VE GOT ONE of them males there. Hands behind your back now! Sorry. Stay calm, mate. Please, officer, help me. The force made me do Uh uh The last time I was scared. What were you guys just doing? I've just been forced Don't lie to us cuz you're about to get locked up. That other bike you just ditched, was that nicked? Mate, just breathe. Keep taking deep breaths. All right. We're going to sit you in the car. Is that what you've been trying to do, nick bikes? >> No, I've been forced into it and cuz I owe money to So, that bike up there, is that been nicked? Yeah. All right. Take a seat, mate. Let me just check I should 2 seconds. Let me just check what you've got on you. Have you got any ID or anything on you? No. How old are you? 15. >> [laughter] >> Sorry, is he even out? Yes, please, mate, if we can seize them items. Is that needle in a pocket? Just got to be careful where we put our fingers and stuff, so pull the pockets out as opposed to putting your hands in it. See, there's another one, a capped needle there. Uh we're looking specifically for a package been dropped off. It's not just all about drugs. Other things that we can find in that property, things like scales where they're measuring the drugs out. Phones are key cuz there's lots of different ways that we can access evidence from mobile phones. So, there's some SIM cards there. People who are dealing drugs use a few SIM cards. Makes it more difficult to trace them. Yes, we have got a package. [music] We've two football shirts in here. Yes, mate. What football shirts are they? The new ones. I'm being told Man United. Yes, mate. It's going to have to be seized. It's a package containing two football shirts with the suspect's name on the back. A lot of the time they will take things to an address for times like [music] this in case they are stopped by the police so that they have a story, so it looks believable. But what else has he either taken in and more to the point what has he brought out of that address? So, we will seize the shirts. We will look into that. We will follow all lines of inquiry which leads to where them shirts have come The people who make the money are the organized criminals. They're the ones who are going to that address and collecting £3,000 a day. This is phenomenal amounts of money that they're making. They get their hands less dirty than the the lower down ranks. But we always feed our way into them through doing jobs like tonight. We'll seize some mobile phones, some SIM cards, some cannabis, and we'll see where we go from there. If you try 2171. Yeah, possible. We're down at Shirebrook near the uh Sports Direct. Motorbike. Mate, just take a seat and I'll have a look at you. Now, he's trouble priority. Uh two of them have got away. One of them's come off his bike as they've tried to get away, so I've got him detained. Take what off, mate? Your glove. >> [laughter] >> Mate, just keep taking deep breaths. Where does it hurt? >> [laughter] >> All right. I'm just going to have a look at you, all right? Are you wearing shorts underneath? Are they joggers or shorts? Mate, you've just got a small graze on your hip, all right? When I come across someone that's upset or or vulnerable and I have to arrest them or >> [music] >> take them into police custody, I've obviously got to look out for their welfare cuz I don't want to to make them worse. I'm not there to antagonize it or wind them up anymore. It's a vital element of everyday policing, the need to communicate. You've got to be able to talk people down, calm them down, and deal with situations. And then you can get on with your job and investigate the matter. Uh so, at the moment you're under arrest on suspicion of theft. You do not have to say anything, but may harm your defense if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Just cuz I'm scared. Mate, I understand that, but you've been out committing crimes, so whose bike is it? I don't know. We've arranged recovery for the bike. We're just waiting for some colleagues to come. Uh there was another bike that they ditched when we came past, uh which this lad's telling us is stolen. Hello. He's told us that that bike over there is nicked. That one looks like it's been hot-wired as well. The front plate's missing here. There's all the wiring. That should have a cover on it. There's no cover here, so that's not come off when he's tipped it over. It was still running when he came off and we detained him. Go ahead. That male is now on bail conditions. Uh he's also got some bail conditions that he's supposed to be there remaining indoors overnight. I get forced into everything and I'm just too scared cuz I just get forced into things and they say that they're going to hurt me if I don't and then I just get that scared. You need to uh find some new friends then, mate, I think. Cuz you just keep keep getting yourself into trouble. Yeah. Don't know what to do. No. They could have tried to kill me or anything tonight. I just don't know. Mate, you don't need to be scared. Nothing's going to happen to you now, are you? You're in safe hands. We're going to look after you. He could be uh stringing us along, yeah. He could be feeding us lies. You know, out committing crime. That's someone's property. That's their hard-earned money that has now been stolen. I feel sorry for the kid cuz he's [music] he's obviously had a bad start to life, you know. He's obviously ended up in the wrong crowd growing up. No matter how much of a bad start to life you've had, Mind you, I Yeah. you still got a choice when it comes to you know what's right and wrong at that age. You know going out and stealing someone else's bike is is wrong. Police emergency. What do you mean there's somebody on a bridge? So, she's saying that she's made the decision and that she wants to jump. Is this male being violent? And what was he doing? Was he trying to break in? What's happening? Is she coming to the property? Hello, if you can hear me, press five on your keypad. Don't aggravate him. Just keep out of his way, okay? Hello, SOMEBODY'S BEEN BATTERED. >> [laughter] [screaming] >> CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING, PLEASE? THEY'RE KICKING [ __ ] OUT of him. Come on, the way you just killed him. Okay, whereabouts are you at the minute? Are you on the park or are you on the road? >> They just killed him. They're just kicking [ __ ] out of him. Who is? >> believe honestly they're battering him. Yeah, but who? Your life's in danger. Who are the kids though? Right, how many people are involved? Just women crying. Any weapons seen? No, they're just kicking him. Who's been assaulted? >> [music] >> Tell me what's actually happening. >> on the floor. He's laying on the floor. Right, is he What's that? Is he laying on the floor? Is that all right? Is he conscious or No. No, he isn't. Is he bleeding? Is he breathing? >> he's breathing from his head. Is he breathing? He's breathing, yeah. Just. Bleeding from his head. I saw him. I saw him. I saw him. I saw him. Where's the Where the offenders gone? The people who assaulted him. >> They've run off. They've run away. Which direction? Down street. I don't know. They've run away down street. I don't know. Any sort of description of what they were wearing or anything like that? The girls can tell you that. The girls were there. Right, is there someone there who can call an ambulance because at the minute you've only come through to the police. Yeah, yeah, you need the police there and an ambulance. Yeah, I've got multiple officers traveling. I need you to find someone on [music] the street to call me an ambulance. I'll do it. Do you want me to go to go to do it now? You're going to do it now? Lovely. Right. Leave him. Leave him. Don't move him. Don't move him. Don't move him. Don't move him. Does anyone on the street know who this bloke is? Do they know his name? >> know him? Do you know This is Listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. Listen to me. Do you know his name? You don't know him. You've got You can't move him. The lady on the phone needs somebody Yeah, but needs The lady on the phone needs to be phoning an ambulance. Can you phone an ambulance? The officers are literally just coming up the road, so I'll leave you I'm going to put the phone down. You ring an ambulance, okay? Yeah, okay. Yeah, all right. Bye. Yeah, he's breathing. She's just going to ring an ambulance. Right, mate, so uh this job, report of a male assaulting a another male. Officers have attended. Victim taking statements, getting details from them, but we need to arrest the suspect now. And also there's going to be search under PACE powers to look at seizing and recovering any cosh, the weapon that I think that's been used. Um we suspect he's used his vehicle as well in the offense where he's gone and hit him and hit him in the stomach here. Right. This suspect we're going to arrest I'm thinking is quite intent on causing harm to somebody. If the cosh has actually been used to hit somebody over head with and then a car's been driven at him, it raises the ante a little bit. At the minute, the victim has gone for a checkup at the hospital. If he was struck over the head with what has been reported as being an extendable baton, I mean if you hit somebody hard enough with one of our extendable batons, you could easily fracture someone's skull. There are so many things unknown at the minute about this job. We've got a description as a white male, medium to large build, 40s, possibly 50s. We just don't know his capability and who is inside that address. Also, we don't know what state of mind he is in. We really have to be on our guard. We have to be switched on. We have to be alert and ready for any kind of changes in the situation. An H 114 Charlie. 4 Charlie again. We're just about to conduct arrest attempts for this male. Yes, 24. Thank you. Mate, we've got another situation. We've got a dog in the address and it's loose. Is it? Yeah. Yeah. Go knock on. Who's that? Yeah, contact. It's police. Police. Are you all right? Yeah. Mate, we need to speak to you. We think you've been involved in an incident this evening. I need to take you to the station for that, so we need to arrest you. You need to get some clothes on, okay? >> You need to arrest me? >> Yes. Why? For the offense of an assault, okay? At this moment in time I'm going to arrest you on suspicion of causing GBH. You don't have to say anything. It may harm your defense. I'm just going to ask you questions later on. You can call a solicitor. If you do say anything, it may be used in evidence, all right? Well, you've took his side, have you? I'm not taking any side. I've not even spoke to this person. We've been tasked to come and speak to you because you you're a suspect for it. It's You've been identified as a suspect, okay? Well, I'm not coming. Unfortunately, you're going to have to, okay? >> have to. No. You're doing it under arrest. You're under arrest. I don't want to have to do it by force. You know that. I'm here to do it politely. I can't talk to you like this. I had some cannabis oil. Right, we'll take you down to the station where you'll get your chance to put your side across. >> like this? Can I tell you that if this youth attacked me then Of course you can. You can interview. It's your account. You've been placed under arrest. I need to take you down to custody. >> I'll make a counter. Go on, arrest him then. Don't you arrest me. You don't know [ __ ] all about him. I've been told enough that I've got a suspicion that an offense has been committed. Can you get some clothes on, please? I'll get out and I'll shut up. No. I know I'm standing here. I'm telling you to get clothes ON. I CAN'T GET PAST YOU. OKAY, I'LL STAND ON THE ON THE stairs then. [ __ ] unbelievable. [ __ ] wasted. Spread them out and see what we've got. So, basically what we've got here is what looks like some self-made business cards that are the line phone that they're using at the minute. This is your typical dealer phone, what we would call a the burner phone. It's just a pay as you go phone. It's a tactic that drug dealers will use. They will mix up the phone numbers and the phone lines and they will drop SIM cards and drop mobile phones, so they'll be examined to see if there's any evidence on there, but it's a it's a good sign that obviously drug activity is coming from that address as well. Right, Mark, the officers are going to explain to me why you've been arrested today. An intelligence-led drug warrant has been executed at the address. Mark's been found within the address. And drug paraphernalia has been found within. He's been arrested being concerned in the supply of class A drugs into Chesterfield, namely crack cocaine and heroin. This is your typical dealer list. Names, phone numbers. This will be sent to a drugs expert who will comment on this as a dealer list, but just out of experience you can see here 120W. W means white. White means crack cocaine. D D means dark. Dark means heroin. It's just drug talk. Again, excellent evidence in relation to the investigation. Oh, I missed this. Scales. We've got the full dealer kit here. We've got some scales to weigh out the drugs. We've got the cling film to put the drugs in. So, it is a nice little result. We've got some really, really good strong evidence here that they are involved in the supply of class A drugs. So, this will be a gift for them dealing drugs on their behalf. It's almost like grooming them to say they're doing a good job. It's just little things that keep them sweet, that make them feel important to that organization. At this time I'm going to authorize that you be detained here at this police station for that matter to be investigated. [music] Would you like a solicitor? >> No, I don't. Anybody who's going to need caring for whilst you're here with us? >> Just my dog. I am familiar with him. He is known to me. I've dealt with him on numerous occasions in the past. He knows the score. This won't come as a shock to him. I don't think the gang care about him. He is easily replaced. Any questions? No. Okay. My job is to keep enforcing on this OCG. If we keep enforcing, they've got to change their tactics. I'm fine. Just work, Mark. It's about dismantling them and disrupting everything. Yeah, he's ready to be uh Thank you. Where's your warrant? It's a It's >> need a warrant. There is Section 18 of this act, so I It's Section 18 5 of the search, so we don't need that. You do. You need a warrant. I don't I don't need a warrant. >> a warrant, driver. You need a warrant to search it. I don't I really don't. >> to see it. I don't need a warrant also. You caused me unnecessary [ __ ] stress here. So, the male is is obviously he's been arrested. He's quite anti towards us, anti-police. What we do now is a section 18 five search of the vehicle because it's believed that there is a baton what has been used a cosh to um hit this chap with. Got this on his car keys, which as you see as you put your fingers fingers through, clench your fist it creates quite clearly a weapon that could cause quite a lot of damage. Katie, it's Aaron. You free to speak? Yes, yes. The baton or the cosh that was described, how long was it? Probably 10 Probably 10 in when it's small and then 18 in when it's extended. And black baton and I think he he had a little red on it. Yeah, it looks exactly like a police baton. So, this I think the weapon has been described by the victim has something what was black handled with red on it. Um although they think it's an extendable police baton this doesn't extend but a lot of the time is when people are under a lot of stress, a lot of pressure when they're trying to recall things, descriptions not always 100% so it may actually be that this is the weapon that's been used. Obviously, it's definitely black handled with a with red on it, so that's why we're taking that. Police emergency. Who smacked you in the face? So, you're inside of a house but you're not sure where you are. So, are they there now? Can you still see them right now or have they gone? She is so confused on the phone. I don't know what's going on. She's telling me she's not very well. I haven't got a clue where this woman is. Yes, yes. Just to make you aware of instant 1135 regarding the male left from hospital. He's been admitted for chest pains and dementia. He's left side. Security have checked CCTV and he's gone down the emergency road. Thank you. I'll put you to an up pass description. Hospital at Chesterfield have just called to say that one of their elderly patients who came in with chest pains has wandered off. He's been gone 40 minutes now. It's late at night, it's dark, cold outside. He's in a vulnerable position now. He's also got dementia. Description from CCTV. He's wearing a navy overcoat, [music] black trousers and brown shoes. Where do we start then? Middle of nowhere staff. Now, with the man with the conditions that he's got, he's not going to be able to be out there without any support for too long. You know, a vulnerable gentleman on his own who looks confused would be a target for criminals who might you know might be taken advantage of. So, it's really important that we locate him and and look after him. No update for the officers looking for the male from the hospital so far. Yes, say before. Go ahead. He knows the area very well. However, he always drives. He never catches the bus or the train. He's obviously got no money, no mobile phone. He might not know where he's going, might not know which way to walk or might not want to speak to somebody. Call golf. Go ahead. Can we consider helicopter for search of the hospital grounds and immediate area around there, please? Yeah, I'll put it up to top desk. It's unlikely he's going to walk up the 7 or 8 miles to his home address from the hospital. It's not great weather, is it, to be walking back from the hospital if you've got a chest complaint. The longer he [music] goes without any sighting or any contact from him, the more he's at risk. Hello, come on come on a bit. Have you been into a police station before? Mansfield. Mansfield? Yeah.
