The cops continued questioning CC Casey about her actions, but she denied any wrongdoing. She claimed that her behavior had been provoked and insisted that she was simply defending herself. So, what happened out here? Why am I here? I don't know. He was out here and then he just like pretty much assaulted me. Okay. What happened with him tonight? I'm not worried about Cory. No, no, but that's I understand that. I know all about that case. Yep. What I'm asking about is what just happened. What just happened with Dave that you're so upset about? Witnesses and victims recounted the events to the cops, revealing how CC Casey reacted during the altercation. Due to her actions, the witnesses decided to press charges against her. Feels more like a scratch than it does anything. But do you mind if I look? Yeah. You might have a little bit of a bruise. Um, so that is assault. Do you want to press that or do you just want her out of here and not allowed back? Well, um, I'm fine with out of here. 86 103. [Music] Uh yeah, that one's mine. The one all everything to the left it says. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] The man was charged with burglary, threatening with a weapon, and possession of burglary tools. Treasure hunting or tampering with history, it's a crime. Yet, this man did the unthinkable, committing an offense by damaging a prehistoric site. When questioned by authorities, he denied any wrongdoing. But as the investigation unfolded, officers uncovered the hidden truths he tried to bury. It don't matter. That's all still archaeological items. Yeah. And so was the stuff in your boat. A big shell here. It's a documented archaeological site, I believe. On July 6th, 2024, Florida Fish and Wildlife officers on routine water patrol spot a man digging at a prehistoric archaeological site. The site is known for containing prehistoric artifacts from the archaic era. Officers approach the man and ask for his boat registration, but he claims he doesn't have it with him. They then inquire about any items on the boat, and he denies having any artifacts. You got any bags or any anything else that contain anything in the water? I just pulled up here a bag of the boat. Okay. No. Do you have any artifacts, fossils, or anything like that in the water? No. Okay. You have any in the boat? No. Okay. Did you say Did you say fossils? Fossils or artifacts? I found some teeth here and some sharks teeth and some kind of a dinosaur tooth a few days ago. Okay. Are they in the boat? No, that was a couple days ago. Okay. We're going to pull up alongside you and do a boater safety check. And we're also going to check um for resource stuff as well. Cuz we're in You just dig them by hand. Yeah. Get a shell. You got to wear Do you have a basket? That's more trouble. It's worse. Hey LT, it's really I know. Lift your motor up. Lift it up. Hold on. Can you do me a favor and move? We're coming right alongside you here. That's perfect. That's fine. Do you want a power pull down? Yep, please. Okay. All right, sir. Go ahead and bring your boat over to us. You got your registration handy? I just got here. Okay. You got your boater registration for this vessel? I I I I don't have it with me. I I just got it last month. Okay. 63. What kind of bone is that? That's a deer. 63. This will be just south. That's what you're after? No, I'm tra there a lot of arrowheads in this spot. Yeah, I've picked a few of them though. You have? They're kind of I guess say cheed up. Yeah. Yeah. By probe or I I wouldn't say by probe. Okay. I know 20 years ago they used to do a lot of bottles here. That's my probe there. Yes, sir. All right. I need to see your life jacket. It is right here. All right. Have you got a whistle or a horn? I do. Yes, sir. 631 disco on that? They don't have his registration issue with all right. And you say you don't have your registration? I mean, I uh I just I just got legal last month. Okay. Yeah, they usually that piece of paper is all we're required for you to have with you. It's in my truck. I'm pretty sure of that. Okay. But um I don't have it with me, man. All right. Can you run him by the FL numbers? Yes. And is it registered to you? Yes. All right. Yeah. Is a big to-do. I got this canoe. Never thought I'd have to put a troll motor under. Is there anything in your pocket? It's just nice right here. Yeah, there's nothing in here, man. I I Whoa. Whoa. Something just fell out. The officers noticed the man drop something from his pocket, which appears to be a piece of ch. When questioned, the man claims he didn't know what it was. The officers then turned their attention to the child nearby, seeking any information about the man's actions. I don't really. All right. When was the last time you pulled an arrowhead out of here? [ __ ] Just picked it up and looked at it. I ain't took an airhead for 20 years. Look at this club. That's backward. Is there any airheads on this boat? Yes. Right here. All right. What is that? Yeah, that's a piece of That's a piece of flint. I don't know. Why you keeping ch? Yeah. That right there is worth You just dropped something out of your pocket, too. So, what's worth something to you? Okay. Is that what you just dropped out of your pocket? It ain't worth a thirdderee felony. I can tell you that. I just got here. Did you have Hey guys, how long have Hey, I got a question for y'all. How long have y'all been out here? You mean have y'all been watching the water at all? Um, well, when we're we were in the morning while we were fishing on the dock, but we haven't been doing it much. Okay. Have you noticed this guy here at all? anchored here. The last the last few days, we don't know his name, but for the last few days, um I think um we saw him putting a stick down in the water and there's like all these like arrowheads over there. There's arrowheads over here. Yeah, because I think he's like been digging for arrowheads. I don't know. Where are the arrowheads at? Are they on shore or in the water? They're on shore. They're on shore over here. Yeah, they're on the wood. Okay. Can you can you show me a roundabout? Can you walk over there and show point to me? We got to go. Um um right. Okay. It'll I'll just be a couple seconds. Okay. I just got a couple questions for you. Okay. Some of them are just rock, some of them are arrowheads. Okay, perfect. Thank you. I appreciate it. Awesome. Thank you so much. We're really late. We've been playing Jack a lot. Yeah. Okay. All right. Well, y'all have fun. Thank you so much. Were you out here yesterday? Yes. What'd you find? Uh, like I said, I didn't know what it was, but it's like a half a tooth. I thought I had it in the boat, but I told the lady down here on the other other corner as I was leaving under the fire under the hell of fireworks. Uh, but it was had like bone marrow in it, but it was huge, man. Like this. What' you do with it? Huh? You said you thought it was in the boat. Where's it at now? I thought, well, I thought it was uh either the boat cuz I was going to show her, but apparently it's in the house. Hey, Alie, did you hear that? What the kid said? Yeah. Go look. I doubt that he'd leave any arrowheads on the the shore at all. They're going to go in his pocket in a glove and somewhere hidden in the boat. Dude, I ain't I ain't got So, something fell out of your pocket. Yeah. Yeah, I heard it. I heard it. Right. We're going to go look at some something on the shoreline real quick. Um, were you setting anything over there yesterday on the bulkhead? Officers continued their investigation and find items removed from the site, placed outside the designated area. These are identified as archaeological artifacts and the officer informs the man that such actions are illegal. What all you've been finding? Just bindings, man. What kind? I mean, you're you got a fossil permit. Yellow. Yeah. Yeah. What kind of fossils do you collect? Sharks teeth. Uh, and a tiger shark. No arrowheads. I picked up a couple couple bros and I tot down, man. Dude, it ain't working. All right, we'll be right back. I mean, I would love I would love. This ain't the 1990s anymore. I know. Okay. Just making sure. Just keep an eye on them. Yeah. I think he's just putting big pieces of shell over here so they're out of his way while he digs. Sir. Hey. Just stay right there where you're at. Okay. What's up? Looking for what he dropped. Exactly. Might have been a nice one. Hey, how you doing? Can you tell me where that stuff came from right there? the stuff on the bulkhead right here. Right here on on at the edge. This guy. Okay. Okay. All right. Thank you. Do you want to look at those, too? I know what all of it is. He's not leaving anything valuable. It's all work shirt. It's all It's all artifacts. So, this should be a documented site. And he had multiple pieces in his boat. Well, you've got some in your boat. It's in my boat now. But you had some in your boat. Yeah. But why'd you leave it there? Another drop of plastic. It don't matter. It don't matter. That's all still archaeological items. Yeah. And so was the stuff in your boat. This is a a big shell. It's a documented archaeological site, I believe. Yep. We can look. Yeah. We're fixing to look it up. But you've got pieces of artifacts in here as well. So that came out of your boat. So just stand by. Yep. If there's more than five pieces in a certain radius, that's a that's an artifact. Um, that's basically a documented site because of the existence of the prehistoric people. So, you're not allowed to be digging in it and you're not allowed to be keeping it. Yeah, I I understand that. It doesn't matter if it's a valuable arrowhead like people normally keep or if it's just other pieces. Well, you know, valuable arrowhead. What's a valuable arrowhead, dude? It depends. You talking museum quality Swany or a big bull Simpson or we talking about a Nan or we talking about a Swany? Santa Fe in the '90s. Yeah. Yeah. It depends on what you consider everything easy to sell versus what is uh valuable information for the archaeologists that would uh one day excavate the site which now is not in situ. It's not how it was left because somebody's been digging big holes and only taking certain things out of certain layers. So that's that's the difference. I totally agree with what you just said. Yeah. I mean, like I say, man, I'm I I I was I found stuff here like in the '9s, and it was few and far between then. And that's how I know to come here and find sharks, teeth, and bones, you know, cuz I guess it's in it's in their in part of their business. Did you do something under the archaeological isolated finds act? never did die cuz that's what that was the only reason people could in the 90s and it had to be uh isolated sites that weren't part of a documented site even then. Okay, which yeah, this is this is a big bad. The man continues to downplay the significance of the artifacts. Meanwhile, the officers discover drugs on him which ultimately leads to charges being filed against him. Let me know if you need me to move the boat. work. Um, I'm going to get back in the boat and we'll go over everything we got to deal with uh here in just a sec. In your wallet, do you have your medical marijuana card? Do you have your medical marijuana card in your wallet? Is there any reason you don't have it when you got out here? I got my wallet. I know. But if you had that card and save me from writing a citation coordinate. I'm sorry. I am too. You know, cuz but if you can produce it properly, if you can produce it, it'll help you out with that. Okay. Okay. After the fact then 28. Yes, sir. I'm getting honest. Funny. Come on, man. Don't store your marijuana with your cigarettes. Oh, man. Let me help you with my cigarettes. Can you separate them? Yeah. You mind? All right. I'll get her to separate them, but just stay right there. Let's see. I can grab you a couple more. Okay. Thank you so much. They're the cheapest ones I can buy. Those items over there that were removed from the site and placed outside the site along with these items back here. Yes. Are going to be seized as evidence for uh the the charges on there, but it's removal alteration of an archaeological site uh by moving altering those archaeological items. Okay. So, it's a misdemeanor. It's not the felony for excavation. Okay. Now, with the digging tools, you lost me. This is this is this this is no trespassing. We're not supposed to be fossilizing it. You're not supposed to be removing altering artifacts from a site containing artifacts. That's that's man-made stuff there. That stuff right there is manaltered stuff and it's it's where it should stay where it's supposed to be. Okay. Whether it's uh Yeah. And it's all going to be uh an archaeologist is going to go through all of it as well. Yes. Okay. Um, also we're going to get statements from everybody that witnessed you placing that stuff up there. Um, we also, uh, are going to be seizing the tools that you were using today while belt. Yes, sir. Oh, man. Come on. It's called, uh, instrumentalities of a crime. So, that's papers, man. Um, and you're going to receive a citation for possession of marijuana under 20 grams. if you had been able to provide uh proof that you had a prescription for it. Um that's also going to be a break because uh there's some agencies that are it's going to be I'm actually they're charging a felony for a prescription with or for having a control substance without a prescription. So you can actually be charged with a felony for that because you don't have your prescription. And that's something you'd have to figure out with with the court. But you're just going to get a misdemeanor if you can provide that. It'll it'll help you uh before your court date. Can you provide proof? And I've asked you twice, but I'll give you another chance. I can't provide today. Um, but um, and we're going to be seizing the marijuana as the evidence of that crime. The man was charged with removing artifacts from an archaeological site and possession of marijuana. Meet this man who thought the law couldn't catch him, but he was caught red-handed after stealing another man's wallet and using the card for lunch. His confidence quickly turned to regret as the authorities closed in on him. I'm going to sit down so you can kind of hear me a little bit better. All right. All right. So, uh, because you're in handcuffs right now, I'm required to warn you before you make any statements. Okay. So you have the right to remain silent, not answer any questions. Do you understand? Say yes. My camera again. Okay. You have the right to presence of attorney of your choice before you make any statement during question. You understand? Okay. If you cannot afford a lawyer, you're entitled to the presence of a court for a lawyer before you make any statement and during any question. You understand? Any statement can and may be used against you in court of law. Do you understand? Um any statement you make must be freely and voluntarily given. Do you understand? Um, if at any time during this interview you do not wish to answer any of my questions, you are privileged to remain silent. Do you understand? Okay. I can make no threats or promises to induce you to make a statement. This must be your own free will. Do you understand? Okay. So, I mean, I went over all those. You understood what I what I said to you. A couple questions. Where'd you end up getting this ball in the car? I don't know where, but it was like near Duffy's. Near Duffies right here. Okay. Where would it where would you find that jacket? He's literally like, "So, on this side or on this side?" The officer asked the suspect if he used the stolen card to pay for food at Duffy's earlier that day, and the suspect admits it. He then justifies his actions by saying it was due to his addiction. Starbucks. Okay. Was there anything else in that jacket that you that you were able to get get a hold of? No. Did you Did you use that card to pay for Dy's food today? You did, sir. Did you know that card wasn't yours? Sir, you're what? I got you. But now you're stealing stuff, bro. I know. It's my addiction. Okay, I get it. On December 25th, 2022, officers responded to a residence after receiving reports of multiple gunshots being fired. Officers rushed to the location and began questioning witnesses to understand the situation. While it was confirmed that shots were heard, the details remained unclear. Then a family member revealed that the suspected shooter was inside the house. Show us your hands. Hey, we'll take care of it. Yeah. Stay back. Stay back. We'll take care of it. Stay back. Stay back. Do you need him right now or do we need him? Okay. Wait. People come over here. We miss talk. We need to get a statement from somebody. Sure. Go walk back in. Is it 13? Do you know what's going on? We didn't know he had a gun at all. I do not know that he had a gun. My brother. Yeah. We didn't know he shot anything. They knocked on our door. We heard nothing. He shot at my having a party at my heard. I was just talking to my neighbor. Hey, there's like 25 people in there. Oh, yeah. I know what happened. You are complicating things and slowing this down by arguing with us and preventing us from getting him out. You're telling me I can't go in my own. That is exactly what I'm telling you. Please walk this way. You're putting all of us in danger right now. 25 people. Is there anybody inside? There's 25 people inside. I get that. Any phone numbers that you know of the people inside?
