Okay. How are y'all doing? Good morning. Let me see. All right. If you're new to my channel, this is a reaction video to body cams. The raw body cam uh links will be in the description box. So, you do have to, you know, it it has to be transformed through my commentary, reaction, little ad libs here and there. So, you will hear me talking. All right. So, the first one we're starting with, we're not starting with the thumbnail that's coming next, but we're going to start with manager's grand check fraud scheme gone wrong. >> Is he still here? >> Is he still here? Is he still here? >> No, he left. He just left. He went that way. I see him. >> But he always here and he like starts staring at people and then starts working at >> the next time he shows up just call us immediately instead of instead of waiting like when he shows up like soon as you see him call us so that we can trespass for him. >> Yeah. When I saw him. >> Um did anybody exchange words with him to tell him to leave? >> Um no. We were like taking his orders, but he didn't have any money and he was just standing there for a while, but I told him don't tell him anything. Stand there. >> Okay. Cuz the note said somebody did tell him something, so he probably knew. So just I mean I could try the best I can to get here as fast as I can, but with traffic, morning traffic, it's it's hard to get here. >> All right. I'll uh I'll look in the area, see if he's still around. All right. Thank you. All right. No problem. Coffee while you're here? >> No, I'm good. I already had some whip one right up for you. >> I appreciate it. 38. Subject is DOA. >> Were you the one called or no? Hello. >> Doing all right access ID. >> How you doing? >> Hello. Uh you're Brian. >> Yeah. >> Um is this is reference to the last case the same employee or >> I don't think it's the same employee. I think they're working in cahoots and actually Detective St. Martin was kind of like questioning her a little bit. But uh I you know it appeared to me ended the detective as it was all the one man but I just recently um uh check fraud and there's no way he could have done that. You know the checks come to her she signs for deposit and uh so anyhow long story short I'm you know I'm trying to like go through everything. So, I went ahead and um uh you know, I have the two physical checks with me, so I knew they weren't cashed. Right. >> I'm not really familiar with the case. I just know that this was done by Officer Dorski and I'm now coming into it. >> Right. Right. He reported the thing because it was credit card theft. Yes. And and uh and stole Windows. The one my operations manager. >> Okay. And this was the >> This is completely different. This is check fraud. Now, I try to reach Detective St. Martin, but I don't want too much time to slide by. >> You know what I mean? I try to reach him on Friday >> because he's he's here at 8. >> Oh, he's here at 8:00 a.m. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. If you want, you could have him reach out to me or whatnot, but I think this is I think uh I sent him an email, too, like over the weekend. And >> Yeah, because usually uh uh detectives e if they're not on call >> Uhhuh. Usually they work Monday through Friday. >> Oh, Monday through Friday. Yeah, >> exactly. So, with this being a new This is a new employee or is it this in reference to the same like they're working together? >> I think they might have been working together. >> Gotcha. >> And he he he he actually said, you know, detective he was just telling me he's I was like, "How'd the interview go with the guy you arrested?" >> And the guy What's his name? >> Um Nick Leaglia. >> Okay. So, Nick. >> Nick. Yeah. So, he said Nick. He said he was saying all this stuff about Michelle was in on it. He was just all over the place. Go, you know, all kinds of craziness. And I'm like, "Yeah, that's bullshit." He goes, "Yeah, I think so, too." He's like, you know, >> and then all of a sudden all of a sudden I'm like, "Check fraud." I'm like, "There's no way Nick got his hands on the check and deposit them into another account. >> It's got to be it's it had to be her." And the crazy thing is these checks are written out to Kaline Construction, right? Written out to my company. So, I don't know how they did it, you know, but I'll tell you what what I did do because, you know, this is a nice old man that I was working with, you know, I'm like I So, I didn't think they were deposited. I redeposit them in my account. They said they're all deposited and I'm >> okay. Let's orient ourselves. I did not watch this one first. So, the first part where she walked into the Dunkin Donuts seems unrelated. She just went ahead and handled that call for a possible trespasser and then went into this other guy's or maybe he owns a Duncan, I don't know, or works with Duncan or whatever he's doing. But either way, trespasser, totally different issue. They didn't catch them. That's something else. Now we're on to his employee doing check fraud and and working with another guy that was suspected in some stolen credit card stuff earlier. Come to find out, it seems like he's working the other guy was working with his employee that they're talking about now because those check fraud, the checks tipped him off that, oh, this is this is somebody I didn't suspect, but I definitely now suspect her. We just thought the guy was talking crazy at first. All right, I'm catching up on this one. >> Like, what? So, I call up the customer because, you know, everything's on the up and up. I'm like, >> you know, and I can't, you know, in the bank you can search for the mount check number. >> Exactly. So I know nothing even close. Maybe I mistyped it. Nothing even close. So I go to Bank of America where I do all everything for this. I can run it clean. Every check I get goes into one account. So there's no mystery, right? So I go to Bank of America. I'm like, why are these bouncing? They said they were deposited. I have the check and they're written out to KAC Construction and they're like, >> "Yeah, it's it was." And then so they're like, "No." So I call up the customer. I said, "Do me a favor. Call your bank because you know he's a good guy." I said, "Call your bank. Get a copy of the back of the check." So, I get a copy of the back of the check and then I bring this to Bank of America and they go, "It was deposit into a TD Bank and that's the account number." >> So, I go over to TD Bank, right? You know, I'm like, "What's going on here?" >> That's a lot of detective work that you're >> He is so excited. But, I'd be excited, too, if I could kind of trace it and paint the picture better for the police. But, he is so excited. He's taking it uh he's taking it better than some finding out you got stolen from. For sure. Um Kim said, "These employees be busy and dumb." Yes. And I'm telling you, I really think getting a second job is easier than this. There's no risk of jail if you get a second job. Your time is taken either way. At least you're free with the extra time being used on the second job. Usually, they're not using the money for anything productive most times um that we see it. Every now and again there's one that they're like, you know, it was something that they needed, you know, but either way, now you have to pay it back plus court fines, plus your bond. It it just never adds up to making sense to me. >> You're doing I go over to I go over to TD Bank. I go, "Hey, what's going on here?" And they're like, "I'm sorry. You know, they got me with a manager there. I'm sorry. I can't talk to you about somebody else's account." I go, "But I have the account number. Can you just tell me, you know, you know, and they're like, he's like, unless I get a warrant or something like that, I can't really tell you anything." I said, "But the account number's right here on a check written out to me." Exactly. You know, and he's like, he's like, "Well, let me" And he's like, >> and he said within 10 seconds of like looking at whatever he's looking at, I think I can see what's going on here. >> He goes, "But I can't tell you anything." I'm like, "Son of bitch." You know what I mean? Like he says, "Oh, but this is what he did say." He said, "But I don't know if he slipped up or what." He goes, "It's a personal account." How could it be a personal account? >> Does she still work for you? >> No. No. She She This is before I knew all this was going on. She um she her dad got her dad went in the hospice, her mom, all this stuff. She's taking this leave of absence. But I think I had her helping me like, "Can you see if you found this or any other checks that were deposited?" And I think that's all of a sudden she felt the heat and was like, "I'm out." So this check was made in January. When was it deposited? >> No, I have two checks from this man. There's two checks that went into his account. Both of these guys, I think that's what how she figured she would hide it. You see, I I do I do like >> He's so excited. He missed her question. She said, "When was it deposited in?" I'm guessing into that personal TD bank account. He's so excited. >> Like 50% up front, 50% on the back end, >> of course. So, it's it's it's kind of clean and neat. I don't know why this is zero, but whatever. So, 33750. Maybe it was 50. Whatever. Who cares? But 33750 and 337. Um, one in February, one in January. >> Okay. >> But I bet you there's more. But like I said, I just figured all this out on Friday. Now I have a new uh bookkeeper like office manager kind of girl and uh it's going to be hard to figure out which ones, but there's I'm sure there's other checks for deposit. But this one I got this and I have the physical check so I know it wasn't like cash and then so that's but then this says it was a mobile deposit and this is her signature. Oh, so she used her phone and you put it in the little snapshot thing and it deposited that way. Okay. So, you're sitting here like, "How is that happening?" Because I still have the checks in hand. They weren't taken to a bank. Wow. Okay. Wow. >> For a deposit. She deposit She's deposited all my other checks for a year, but >> So, do you think there's more than just these two that >> Wow. >> just got to figure it out. But I was hoping to get you guys involved quick enough where they freeze the account because otherwise >> I got you. >> I'm going to be a little screwed >> cuz I'm not sure if um I should do a separate case number or the case number that we used to arrest the other gentlemen. >> Yeah, because I don't know I I don't know what you guys want to do. >> Let me see if I can get a hold of the detective real quick. I'm gonna call him and see what he would like me to do because then I can just take the sworn statements and get copies for him so he can start coffee or anything. >> Oh, no. I'm good. I'm good. I have uh I have some in the car. Um just so that I'm not duplicating or >> Yeah. Well, I I knew none of this when the detective. All him and I dealt with stolen product and and the credit card. >> Gotcha. >> So, he he didn't get any of this. >> So, what's what's her name? Uh Michelle. >> Oh, you know what? I'm sure he has all that information because he interviewed her. >> Okay. So, she's probably in the system. >> Yeah. >> Is she a white female or a black female? >> Yeah, she's a white female. >> White female. Okay. And your name again is Brian. >> Yeah. He's met her a couple times at the factory. We sat in there. >> Okay. And then you said there's the um >> as far as when did you find out that that check was deposited, but you had the physical check. >> When did I find um Oh, here I can tell you exactly when because I tried to redeposit it >> and then I've just been trying to figure it out and I thought for sure it was a bank screw up >> because we use a check depositing machine. >> You know, it goes through it. Yeah. Yeah, I thought for sure it was some kind of screw up with the with that. And uh so I've just been busy and haven't gotten over to the Bank of America, but when I redeposited both of them, uh what did I tell you exactly when >> And uh both were deposit the same day or one was deposited a different day. >> Well, no. Okay. So, I tried to redeposit them both on March 28th. >> Okay. But you weren't able to. >> But I wasn't able to. They bounced. So I you know you know by the time I got the bounce notification the next day or so by the time I got around to calling the bank the bank told me oh I think what happened was that one checkup >> they thought they were a duplicate they thought it was a duplicate deposit the check twice >> so that slowed me down that was like all right it's bank screw up there and they're confused and they just they already whatever. So, I went I finally went into the bank and tried to straighten it all out and brought all my papers and uh and that's when they told me, "Dude, I deposited TD Bank." >> Okay. So, TD Bank, >> how how >> does it say when it was deposited in TD Bank? >> Yeah, that it does. >> Now, she asked that question 10 minutes ago. When was it deposited? My attention I could This is why I can't be a detective, police, nothing. Um because besides the other stuff people acting crazy when they about to get arrested, I like straight answers. But I do know roundabout answers sometimes give you details into stuff you wouldn't even you weren't even thinking about or you going to get around to later. So it's not a horrible thing. But when I when a question is asked directly, I'm like answer that question and then maybe go into your die tribe. But like answer the actual question first. It's so frustrating cuz now your attention's gone. The answer may be in the middle of this whole story. But she's so that's just me. My attention it can't I can't go that long and I've asked you a direct question. I'm still waiting on the answer and hopefully I remember the question I asked you. >> I probably got a date on there TV banquet now. Oh yeah, right here. January 30th. This is this check. January 30th, 2023. But they both were. So this Yeah. So I get the deposit check. I get the deposit check and then after I get the windows and we do the install, I get the final payment. Right. So, this check, I didn't ask Mr. Lesey for this one yet or I haven't asked him for this one. Um, he would send it to me. That's not a problem. But this one here, um, was deposited sometime after February. >> And that is accounted for and or that's not accounted for? >> No, neither one of these are accounted for. >> Okay, understood. >> Right. So, I just I was confused as hell because the bank's telling me they thought it was a duplicate check. >> Gotcha. >> And then so I went in and then Mr. Liy sends me this and then they're and then the bank when I brought this into the bank saying, "Hey, can this help you out?" I I didn't even pick up on that. I figured, okay, mobile deposit, whatever. Who the hell cares? Let me add this on. I'm sure um St. Martin's gonna need >> Oh, yeah. >> the original copy. So, you can make copies, but I'm put this on um evidence.com just so that >> Oh, you going to have everything? >> Yeah. Well, you see I >> can I see that check as well? >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, is it like that bank account is is it confirmed that you believe it's her or >> Oh, I'm I They did not confirm anything. The bank didn't confirm anything. >> I just know these were deposited into a TD Bank. I do not have a TD Bank account. The bank wouldn't give me any information on it. The bank did say, "Yep, that's an account here." >> It's a personal account. And Michelle told me these were deposited. >> She said she deposited. >> Understood. >> Yes. Um, can you just raise your right hand? >> Sure. >> Do you swear? Affirm what you told me is the truth or nothing but the truth. >> I do. >> Okay. Um, I'm going to call him real quick if he doesn't pick up. What I'mma do since this is this is um this is this during the same time frame that he did the uh Nick like actually stole the credit cards and everything like that. >> So you believe that they were working together? >> I don't know. I really don't. I'm just hypothesizing. you know, >> the fact that he said he mentioned in the interview >> and you know, I wouldn't wouldn't have even I would think he he was just trying to take some heat off himself confusion and that that was just he that was just uh the detective when I was like how the interview go you know what are you saying and he confess you know I was just curious and he told me some of the you know you know high high level stuff he goes hey kept trying to >> okay this is where Kim I'm trying to keep up with him I'm trying to keep up with him Kim said so are the thieves not getting the money cuz the checks are bounced. I think they did get the money and when he tried to redeposit them cuz he's holding on to the physical checks whereas she deposited a mobile version of the check. So, she got the money but he can't deposit his own checks because they were already deposited into the TD bank that he's not related to. So, it bounced when he tried to deposit the the check. But from how I'm understanding him, it was a successful deposit into the TD Bank uh account that is supposedly connected to his employee. >> Throw Michelle under the bus, you know what I mean? But he goes, I think he was just trying to take the heat off or something like that. >> You know, that was it. I didn't think anything of it. >> Okay. Well, let me let me call him and see what he wants to do. Um, >> so that way either I'm punching you a new case number or it's going to be in reference to the old one and you could continue on. Since that one's already closed, I foresee I'm probably going to have to punch a new case number. All right. >> Uh, but let me come back and I'll let you know. >> Okay. in here maybe like uh four days ago or something like that because I didn't know any of this. >> I I'm I'm 99% sure it's Michelle. How could it be anybody else? But I think all he's got to do is on that check that was written out to my company see who the personal account person is. >> Exactly. Because the account number is right there. But she can't get it because >> I can't get it because it ain't my account. >> Exactly. >> Yeah, that is a good connection. If if she's that crazy to deposit into a a checking account associated with her name, I mean, which she deserves to get caught if she did it. Um, dang it. That was something else I was going to observe. Oh, and how suspicious are you that all of a sudden when he's asking you to investigate the stolen checks, is it's crazy if you're investigating yourself and then you're like, "Oh, my dad's in hospice. I got to go take care of him." So you don't look suspicious at all now. And um Yeah. And then also if you wishing hospice on your dad and he's still alive, that is so foul. >> All right. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Well, I'm going to go ahead and um and submit everything just so that somebody could at least start >> heading way. Especially TD Bank is stating that they don't want to give out information because >> Well, they sent it to me. They might give it to a cop. >> Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. So, you have the case. You have uh let me give you my actual card as well. >> Oh, thank you. >> So, you have my card just in case you find anything else, you can email me as well. >> Yeah. Well, like I said, once I get some help in here in a minute, I'm going to try to figure out what are their checks. >> Okay. I hope it's not that much. >> 1:48 in the afternoon. We are currently here at 2152 West Atlantic at Kine Construction Group. Uh present myself, Detective St. Martin, and Mr. >> Brian Klein. >> Brian Klein. Go ahead and just raise your right hand for me, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> Uh, you swear to affirm that the statements you're about to provide to me is the truth to the best of your knowledge. >> I do. >> Okay, you can put your hand down. Okay. And this is reference to Dair Beach case number 23-005208. This will be a swarm court statement taken by a law enforcement officer. Sir, I understand that um the reason I'm here is because of a fraud, alleged fraud that occurred at this business here. >> Yes, sir. Can you give me some details about that? >> Yeah. Um, so I had some fraud from Nick Leagley. >> Okay. Now, I think if I'm feeling it right, we're going to skip him telling the story again and we're going to get to the part where either she's in the office or somebody new come in the office cuz I feel like we got the story. Let me know if I'm feeling it wrong with y'all. But I feel like we got the story. We'll have to hear him tell this other detective again. Nice to meet you. You guys going what you doing? >> Oh, yeah. >> All right. Yeah, 100%. >> Okay. >> All right. Michelle, can you get up for me? >> Sorry, Michelle. What are you going to do for like I betrayed you? >> You said >> ring ring said we got it. I thought so. I'm like, it's not much else we're going to need from this. We know it's Nick and Michelle probably involved. We got it. Yeah. Okay. That's what I said. We want to see the people. Okay. Cool. Cool. >> Yeah, I did. >> All right. That for me, >> y'all. I thought Michelle was standing right here by beside him before this woman came into the frame. I'm like, that is not how that woman look on that thumbnail. Y'all got to be more accurate on that thumbnail. But no, she's she was out of the frame of the camera. I'm like, okay. here and then we're going to make this as soon as possible. Get a transport car here and then we're not going to >> worry about right here. There you go. >> Michelle, is your dad in hospice for real? Because how you going to take care of him if you going to jail? Which I know they'll let her out on bond most likely, but I want to know is her dad actually in hospice. This doesn't come off. >> Okay. All right. There you go. I wonder how many total checks did she steal besides the two he knows of? How long she's been doing it? Um, did she think she'd never get caught? Checks are so traceable. Checks, credit cards, stuff. It's so traceable. I don't even know why people would try. I don't know. Perfect. Got some stuff. You want us to put it in your car? >> Makeup and stuff. Obviously, you'll bring your phone, your jewelry, >> your brush, and everything. >> That's a That's a manicube. This is your right. So they'll come with you >> but what was it from the company? >> She was taking well she took personal checks too. She took all kinds of traction, anything. But that she would take Kine Construction or Kline Impact and she would do a she would deposit it into a personal check. >> Do you know what the uh she was asking the charges? >> She was asking what the charges were. I I'll let charges. It's a grand obviously um auto instrument and then also organized steam. >> We only have one set of cups. We only hold on a second behind you. >> Start. I don't know if they're going to summarize this or not. >> Okay, I'll just repeat what he said in case nobody in case someone didn't catch it. He said they're charging her with grand theft, uttering a forced instrument, and organized scheme. Probably to defraud or something, but organized scheme. All right. Now, for the one you saw in the thumbnail, that's what we're going to. Had to get us warmed up. This says, "Police body cam store manager catches employee running a $1,300 scam." Here we go. This is going to be your time to to be honest. You're caught red-handed. On July 10th, 2025, Villa Park police were called to a secondhand clothing store after management discovered an employee running a fraudulent payout scheme. She had allegedly created more than 10 fake transactions, pocketing over $1,300 in cash. >> So, I will need your key back. And this is your last um pay uh step. I'm giving to you right now. Okay. Both, please. I have >> Yeah, both please. >> Or they might be in the car. >> Yep. >> Okay. >> Right back. >> Where's your car at? Now, this one I did watch ahead and one thing I thought of as soon as I saw it, I said, "Now, yeah, you just got fired. They gave you your last paycheck." Of course, they want both their keys. However many keys you have, hand it over. You're not getting back in that store. >> You have a concealed carry license. Do you have a firearm on me? >> I have a conceal. Do you have a firearm on me? >> I do. >> You do? It's in your purse. >> It's in the back. >> You mind if I hold that while while we're standing here? You have the keys? >> No, I have to go to the car. The car key is in there. >> All right. I'm going to grab it for you. Okay. >> I got it. >> Oh, no. Of course. You can Can you take it? I'll take it. >> Yeah, I'll take it. >> Sorry about that. want me to ride it. >> Yeah. >> 22 >> 22 LR. Yeah. >> There's that for you. Um This would be >> right. Well, I don't want that one. >> No, I know. I'm just trying to make sure you have >> Okay. Well, let me check the Let me check. >> Okay. >> Tamar, I'm going to need you to follow me. I'm going to ask you to follow me down to the police station. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Is it anything I need to be aware of? We have >> Is there anything I need to be aware of? You know good and dog on well. First of all, you're getting fired. She just said, "Give me all the keys and here's your last payub." You know what you did in that store. >> Talk about a couple things. I need to speak with you. >> Okay. Yeah. Want to direct the process with. >> Okay. >> Just wait for her to finish up here. Whatever process you guys go through, what she's going through. >> Okay. >> Terminating your employment. >> Okay. >> And then uh you can follow me up to the police station. >> Okay. All right. >> Hey, you are >> I'll give you one thing. I don't think she incriminates herself as much as some other people do. But once you once he lays out the facts and y'all saw the thumbnail, so you already know the biggest fact. It's like girl. But she doesn't really incriminate herself too much, I don't believe. But it's just also which is good for your case, but it is frustrating to see somebody play dumb, but you know what they did. >> Officer Franks with Bill Park Police Department. Okay. So, this one is for that one, but I don't think this one is for the other door. Can I just peek at that? >> Yeah. >> And then I'll bring Oh, >> yeah. That might be my home key. >> Yeah, this one looks a little I'll bring them both back. >> All right. >> Can they go over there? Possibly. >> Over where? >> Back to the store. >> To what? Just so she's not walking back and forth. >> I'll just stay by your car. Okay. >> Oh, she's such a considerate thief. >> I'll make sure you get your key back. You still live on the dress the address in Chicago that's on your driver's license? >> Yes, >> you do. >> Can't let you bring your firearm into the police station. Um, >> of course. >> Uh, so if it's okay with you, we'll hold on to it. Hold on. >> Until we give it back to you. You have a concealed carry license. You're lawful gun owner. >> But you just can't have it when you're sitting across from me talking. >> Okay. >> Okay, fair enough. >> Sure. May I ask what are we speaking about? >> Um, I'll go over everything with you. Uh, I have to ask you some questions about what happened here. >> I don't know what happened this time. >> I'll I'll lay it all out for you and see see what you have to say. >> All right. It's new. >> Have you ever been arrested? >> Um, no. >> Never? >> That's why I'm asking questions. I don't know. >> It's fair enough. It's fair enough to ask questions. You're 25. >> 26. >> No, that one belongs to you. Yeah, the other ones were the other one was correct. So, we're good. I still have two key. The other key, though. No, I have I have two. >> Oh. Oh. >> Yeah, I took two. So, we're good. >> Okay. Tamar. >> Yeah. I don't know how she don't know what her house key is. You just handing over keys like checking. You got to know which one is your house key now. I don't know. Miss Lady One. This act is is uh getting on my nerves, but it's also cuz I already watched hers. >> You follow me back to police station? >> Okay. >> Just stay right here with my uh Actually, you know what? I'm gonna hold on to this. My partner's going to drive over here and then you follow her. >> Okay. >> To to the station. I'm gonna wait for my partner. You're not under arrest at this time. >> Just need to talk. >> Okay. >> Okay. I will explain everything to you. I promise. >> Please. >> I will not leave you in the dark about anything. >> Okay. >> It won't matter. She's still going to act like she's in the dark. She's going to follow you to the police station. Just go up front and then I'll follow behind her. I'll walk over to my car. See the big police car? We're going that way. Up ar. >> All right. >> I'll just follow him. >> Just follow him. >> Once at the station, officers begin a formal interview with Tamara, presenting the evidence piece by piece to see how she responds. >> This is one camera. It's recording. acknowledge that we're being recorded right now. You're not under arrest. You're free to leave. Um I have a lot of things I need to talk to you about though and I'd like to interview about. The reason why we're talking today is I was notified by uh your former employer, now the one we were just at, close mentor, of some discrepancies uh at the with purchases that were made at the uh close mentor over the last couple months. Are you aware? Are you aware of what I'm talking about? All right, before she answers, Leia's grandma says, "I've never known a suspect to be able to drive themselves to the station." It's rare. It is rare. Um, she's my She's not my first, but I don't see it often. So, I just wonder is that how they That's just their way so they can go ahead and get better answers to their question strategy or like what's going on. I don't know. But yeah, she's it's it's very rare. >> Okay. Um, well, I sat down and I talked with her at a >> and they have some pretty to me decent evidence, too. So, it's not like they don't have anything. So, that's why all they can do is question her. But, yeah, that there's a policy at Clothes mentor that employees are allowed to sell clothing to the store, but they're not allowed to process the transaction themselves. >> Be aware of this policy. >> Okay. They are alleging that you on multiple different occasions uh while you were alone in the store sold clothing to the store yourself and then took the cash and profited it and that the clothes don't exist. There was no clothes and you did the whole thing yourself. So, you brought the clothes in, processed a a sale yourself, and then with no clothes ever being brought in, and then pocketed them on yourself. >> Does that sound accurate? >> I never sell to work. >> You never what? >> Sell at work. Like, we have a policy where we can sell. I never sold clothes at work. >> So, you can sell clothes to the store, >> right? Correct. So, here in front of me, I have a lot of documentation um that was provided by the store. Um I'll look through it with you. I'll read it off to you and we'll see if uh it jogs your memory. Okay. Um okay. on this most recent one on July 5th at 5:14 p.m. you July 5th, you're the only one working. A transaction was made uh sold by Tamara Ellen, that's you to Tamara Ellen for >> Okay, please tell me y'all caught that. If you didn't, I'm gonna repeat it because that was the funniest part to me. He said, "You, Tamara Allen, sold clothes to a Tamara Ellen." I can't You cannot make this up. Why? Why did you even She didn't even go for a different name. She changed some letters. >> $92. Do you recall that? selling and I'm like a buyer. I can buy in. So under the register it says my name. So this process is processed by >> So you it says you you processed this transaction. >> I would buy my own clothes. So, but at on July 5th, Friday, July 5th, at this time it says your name and the customer as Tamara Ellen. Do you do you recall this this transaction? >> No, sir. >> Okay. So, was someone else using your name on the transaction? >> Could be. according to the >> That's a loaded question cuz remember he said on July 5th at 5:14 p.m. you were in the store by yourself. No one was working a shift with her. So when he asked her, "So do you think someone else did it under your name?" And she actually says, "Could be." He already said you were by yourself in the store. >> You're the only one working at the time. >> I have no knowledge of you. >> Okay. Um >> this is my first time. This is >> all right. Uh July 3rd, uh at 5:56 p.m. July 3rd, you're the only one working. The manager clocked out at 4:14, but so at this time, you're the only one working. And at 5:56 p.m., $99.90 sold by you to a Tamara Allen. Do you recognize this phone number? >> No. >> That's not your phone number. >> No. >> If that ends up being her phone number, I I mean, we're already Come on. Two times you're on your shift by yourself. There's no one else that can do it with the timestamp of those transactions. And now for the customer's number that sold I'm air quoting all this. Sold those clothes. You're saying that's not your phone number. like they're not going to investigate if it's your phone number or not. >> It's not associated with you at all. >> Does that does that uh jog your memory at all on Wednesday the 3rd? >> No, I'm not familiar with any of this. >> Okay. I've got one, two, three, four, five, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 times dating back to February 11th. >> February, >> the transaction was still processed. >> That's no way. >> So July, all these transactions. >> Yeah, they know you didn't bring clothes in. That's that's why you're here. Because if you brought clothes in, you're supposed to let somebody else process it to sell your clothes back. And two, they already know there were no clothes. So, you didn't even bring in clothes. She just All right. >> Were processed by you selling to someone named Tamara Ellen. All except one. And the cash is uh nowhere to be found. and the clothes that were supposedly sold are also nowhere to be found. Secondly, every time you do a sales, if I come in to buy to sell clothes to the clothes mentor, there's paperwork that is supposed to be filled out. Is this correct? >> Yes. >> Even with all the evidence practically gift wrapped and placed right in front of her, she's still sticking to the story that she knows absolutely nothing. At this point, the officers have shown her everything short of a PowerPoint presentation, and somehow she's unmoved. >> That is so true. Everything short of a PowerPoint presentation is perfect. That is so true. Mary said, "I'm going to need my lawyer, right? She She'd be better off just asking for the lawyer at the beginning cuz this is bad. >> The paperwork for every one of these sales is missing. Does not exist. I have no knowledge of it. No. Okay, Tamara, this is going to be your time to to be honest. You're caught red-handed and every I have pages and pages of documents showing that you were there alone at the time of all of these sales and your employee number was used to do the sale and the person who sold it was Tamara Ellen which is conspicuously your name just with the one letter change. Um, I've got all sorts of things. And then to include a a check for $800 that um was used for uh for petty cash uh was signed out for petty cash and then the date was crossed off, but that check is still missing because the date of >> you still in petty cash, too. Oh, >> that same I'm telling you that that that exists. >> This is This is not >> with your initials next to it. No way. >> You got to stop it. He said her initials were on the thing to sign out the petty cash check. Girl, I'm writing my note. I don't even know what I'm going to need my notes for, but I'm still writing it down cuz I can't believe this. >> Knowledge of this. >> No knowledge of this. >> Okay. So, Sorry, girl. >> Is my daddy calling? >> She got a lot. Well, she's not under arrest. She's not under arrest. I don't even know if she's detained. He He just said he's going to ask her some questions. So, I don't even think she's detained. Um, but she's a lot going on here. You get to answer the call, answer your dad's call while you being questioned by the police. Like, okay. You know, to each their own. So on any of these occasions July 5th, July 3rd, uh June 29th, June 28th, June 21st, June 19th, June 17, June 14th, June 12th, June 10th, June 5th, May 24th, and February 11th when you were working alone at the store, these transactions occurred. You're claiming no knowledge of any of it. Are you denying processing these? >> I have no knowledge of the processing. I have no knowledge of a check. >> Okay. What would what would help you remember what what uh happened at this time? >> Nothing will help me remember because it's no knowledge of me. I don't not liking the memory. >> Okay. That she is using the wording. She didn't say I don't recall. She said I don't have knowledge of. She didn't say I don't remember. She's sticking to she has no knowledge of with her with her initials and then that one letter off her name, her phone number most likely. Um Kim said, "You're right, Trenon. It's less of a headache if you just go find a second income." I'm telling you, $1,300. You could have got that with a second job. You could have gotten that with a second job. It is not worth it. Now, you can't work certain places if you're actually convicted of this. It's not worth it cuz you still have to earn an income after you're caught and you get out of jail and everything. Now you you have no job instead of just finding an extra job. And it it does seem like once you have one job, it's easier to find a second job. It's harder to find a job when you don't have a job, period. You know, but yeah, CeCe says she's a multitasker and Sharon says she'll soon be under arrest. >> So, someone else came in the store while you were there alone and did all these different transactions. someone at my associates, my um employee number. I just filed for identity file. >> Now that's foul. That's really foul. So all those times she was in the store by herself except I don't know if the petty cash when she was in the store by herself, but I would guess with her pattern she probably was. But mo she took this stuff and she'd rather frame a coworker that didn't touch anything. That's foul. They didn't that's not right. That's not right to try to even put the spotlight on somebody that didn't steal and you over here stealing >> literally. >> But this occurred inside of the store. >> This wasn't somewhere online. This was inside of the store. >> It doesn't have to be online or knowledge. >> Okay. So, here's what's going to happen. Because you're saying, um, I don't know. I have no knowledge. Uh, what's going to happen is I'm going to take all of this evidence, which is what your former employer carefully comb through. Um, this is not by chance. This is not random. They carefully comb through this and before pointing the finger at you. >> Okay. Also, she said she was a victim of identity fraud. In the history of people having identity fraud committed against them, I have never seen one where someone stole your identity, then used your employee number at your actual job to then do a transaction that looked like it could only benefit you. Like, it's better to just actually not talk if this is what you're going to say. >> They check the store up and down all the inventory for any of the clothes that were allegedly sold at these dates and times. um they've carefully cross referenced the schedules and on each occasion you are working alone and this happened after the manager clocked out. So what's going to happen is I'm going to uh contact the state's attorney's office and I'm going to lay out all this information from to him and you're going to be looking at felony fraud charges. Uh it's very very serious offense. Um that check also that could be check fraud that you that you have in your possession. I don't. >> So, what's going to happen is I'm going to go I'm going to call them on the phone. I'm going to talk to them about it. They will review it and then the charges will be filed. And uh when I talk to them, they usually ask about you and you're 26 years old, correct? >> You said you've never been arrested before. >> Never. >> When I talk to them, they're going to want to know what you had to say. And if I talk to them and tell them, you know, she's completely uncooperative, denying everything, no memory of anything that happened at all throughout the several months of this going on, then that's one thing. Or I can call them and say, you know, hey, this is a young person. She's decided. You tell me whatever the reasoning was. if you know if there's all sorts of reasons that someone would do something like this needing money. I don't know what your reasons are, but you tell me and you could be cooperative in this or it's just going to be your suspect and we're going to go through all the evidence and charge. >> Oh, okay. So, I wanted to know because see she has a concealed carry uh permit, license, whatever, right? So, I was like, well, she's not going to be able to carry that if she's convicted as a felon cuz felony amount, I guess. So I was like, well, what what rights do felons normally lose if they're convicted? Right? So it says voting, sometimes voting can be restored depending on what state you're in. Traveling abroad, the right to bear arms, jury service, which you know, most people don't want to be on the jury, but employment in certain fields. So there's certain licenses now you can't qualify for. Public social benefits and housing, parental benefits. That's crazy. What? For what? for this little bit of money, get a second job. >> Again, this is over $1,300 in funds and cash. 1300, not like five, $1,300. So, I don't know. You can make your own choice about what you have to say about uh what happened. Uh but here it is. you over and over and over again making these purchases uh make making the purchases from these these clients and from these customers and uh uh no manager in the store and all these clothes that are are listed to be sold are don't exist. I don't you tell me. >> Wow said, "Yeah, go see the uh the attorney." Um and then I would talk. I wouldn't give the Okay, I stole anything. No, you you should not admit you did anything. You need to go ahead and get your own attorney. Even if you are the one in the wrong, supposed to get your own attorney cuz you never know. Um, but yeah, because that whole I'll tell them you cooperated stuff, that don't help. Not from what I've seen, unless you unless you actually like snitching on a a a big drug ring or some kind of trafficking thing and then it actually helps them catch their bigger fish. But there is no big fish. This is just a solo theft. There's nothing to help you cuz you cooperated. No, just get your attorney and stop answering these questions because you sound dumb every time you answer a question. It's all mystery. >> I'm not It's not that I'm being uncooperative cuz I'm cooperating with you. I came down here with you. I had no knowledge. Once I got to work, I was supposed to clock in. >> Mhm. >> And simply the manager told me, >> "Well, you you're cooperative. You're sitting here. This is uh you're not under arrest. I mean, I'm not forcing you to be here, but I'm asking you the questions of of what what is this? Is there a is there some type of explanation for any of this or you just have no idea how this happened with your you conducting these transactions? >> What do you mean conducting? >> And the name being sold too is Tamara Ellen. >> Tamara Tamara. >> Tamara Ellen. Well, this one has an A. Yours. Your name has an E. >> Do you want to look at it? Do you remember this? She actually tried to justify that it could be a different person with different pronunciation of the name. And I've met all of them. I've met a Tamara, a Tamara, and a Tamara. But baby, you wrote that name. You if you pronounce your name Tamara, you just change the letter and it was still a Tamara. I don't know how you thought that was going to work as an excuse. That could have been a Tamara or Tamara with the last name close to your name, too. And it's the same person on 12, 13 transactions. Stop it. Like why? She wasn't even creative. This is so lazy. >> Of these clothes on the day of these clothes that were sold. >> It's your job to do that. Correct. >> It's my job officer to program and process. I have no knowledge of the suspicious suspect lies that you are highlighting. I don't even know any of this. You don't know any of it. Okay. Not sure where we're going. Okay. Well, I will be giving you a phone call um when I get the warrant and uh and then I'll be if you can turn yourself in. All right. I will contact you um and I'll let you know what the state's attorney says and uh I there's a warrant for your arrest. I'll have you turn yourself in on that warrant. Okay. >> This sounds terrifying. It's just a reality of of the situation. U if you're not going to give me anything else like this. Never never have I even been detained. >> Oh, you're not detained. You were just discussing this here for your relief. >> Okay. Yeah. See, I I thought so. She's not even detained. I was like, I don't think she's detained. Um but yeah, Mary said they must not have enough evidence. She's not under arrest. Right. I guess for me, this seems like enough. But for them, maybe they want more. Maybe they want to connect that phone number before they uh commit. I don't know. But yeah, they're not arresting her right now. >> Never. I've never had a situation like this to be even let go from work either. So, I mean, I don't know. I mean, if someone was accusing me of these things or or I I would assume if someone was accusing uh a person of this, they would you would look at the the dates and the times and you'd be like that couldn't have been me and then explain why. Uh but or explain to me what happened here. You're saying you don't have any memory of it. >> Um no, can you look at these and see that these are all buying selling customers? All these people >> I want to talk about the How do you know what's on there if you have no knowledge of it? And he never I don't know if he ever slid that paper to her. So, how's how do you know what's on there so confidently if you have no knowledge of this at all? Is it because it's just whatever a regular routine transaction would be for buying and selling clothes at the store? I don't know. But I feel like you you're better off if you're going to be quiet, be quiet. Don't start adding stuff. But, you know, she is her. I am me. I want to talk the ones about sold by you, >> right? By me. >> By you on these dates for these prices. $92, which was said to retail for $310.92 by you at this date and time for sold by this person, Tamara Ellen. A handbag on this date. Do you have any memory of this one? Okay. Let's look at this one on July 3rd. Sold by you to Tamara Ellen >> these items here >> for $99.90. >> Do you remember either of these days? Do you remember uh what you did that day? >> So you were you you remember working on the 5th? >> Friday? >> Friday the 5th. >> Yeah. this last week. >> Mhm. >> You remember? Uh, so after your manager, this is right before you clocked off, correct? >> Can I take a call from my dad, please? >> Sure. >> Hey, daddy. Yeah, I'm staying here now. I know. >> Okay. Before she continues talking to her dad, while Kyle said he said he was going to contact, did he say uh he might have said the state attorney, right? Did he say attorney general or the state attorney? Um, but before to see if they're going forward. So, I guess they just don't they want an actual formal warrant for her signed off by the judge and everything first. I guess like does is this enough? Would you actually go through a prosecution? So, I wonder if this is just how they do it in their town in their county or something because as we have seen and we will see even in these people go in cuffs, you know, and then they figured out later they have enough just by the job saying, "Hey, they're stealing from us." >> We just sitting here talking. Okay. >> So, this transaction was completed at 5:14 p.m. The schedule says uh that you clocked out at 5:14 and the manager clocked out at 3:22. So, right as you're clocking out, this transaction was processed. Someone sold a handbag to close metric for cash right as you were clocking out. >> Do you remember clocking out last Friday? >> Yes, of course. I clocked out. Yes. >> So, what happened when you clocked out? How did it was someone in the store with you? >> Customers. >> Customers were in the store with you when you clocked out? >> Mhm. >> Who else was with you that works there? >> Um, just a manager. And I But she clocked out early. I said >> Yeah. But was anyone else working with you? >> No, she clocked out early. So, she clocked down early. You were the only one working. Um, okay. Were there when you left the store, were there customers still inside the store? >> No, not when I leave and walk up and set the alarm. >> Okay. So, you left and set the alarm. So, was anyone in the store with you at 5:14? >> So, >> what? >> 5:14 I was >> clocked out. That's when you clocked out. So, was anyone inside the store with you when you clocked out? >> I was alone. >> You were alone when you clocked out? >> See what I'm asking you? You're saying so this transaction happened at the time you clocked out. You were the la the only employee there. And >> should I pull up my clock out? >> I have it right here. I have What time you clocked out? It's not. Oh, sheated. We deactivated it. >> I'm so sorry. That made me laugh. She want to go open that app. Ain't no app for you. You're fired. You're not getting in there anymore. >> So, I can't even show you anything on my end. >> I'm telling you, the system says you clocked out at 5:14 and the sale happened at 5:14. Do you recall clocking out? >> No, I'm sir. >> Do you recall leaving the store on Friday? >> I can't read minds. Do you recall that? >> I recall it was just last Friday. >> What was that? >> It was just last Friday. >> Right. So, what happened when you were leaving the store? >> Because a transaction was processed. Someone sold the handbag as you clocked out. You purchased a handbag from the person with your same name minus swapping two letters. >> I don't have anything else to say yet. Told you. >> You want to look at Let's look at other transactions. Let's go to the third. >> What' you say? >> May you leave? >> Hey, you're free to leave if you want to leave. I'm not You're not detained. You can leave whenever you want. >> Okay. Do you want to look at some more transactions about uh and compare it to your time clock >> because I have a lot of them? >> What? >> I have no knowledge of this though, sir. >> Okay. So, let's go over it. Let's let's refresh your knowledge. >> I can't be refreshed with anything I don't have any knowledge of. >> So, on July 3rd, >> give me one second, please. Yeah. >> Yeah. They're questioning to remain silent. Yeah. He said he will call the state and um talk with their attorney and they go in there. >> Yeah. And they recording. >> No, I don't have any knowledge of what they're presenting me. So I keep telling him no. And he keep trying to ask me different questions and whatever he has here. I hate more that she's lying to her parents. Um because if her parents heard what he laid out to her, I think they'd be like, they still would say lawyer up. See, you know, cuz they don't want her to get in a lot of trouble, I'm sure. But like you just lying to your parents because you you did this. This this is wild. Using your initials to sign out the petty cash check. Then you line it out as if it's like, "Oh, that never happened." But yet you still took the $800 check. Then it's you're the only one in the store at your time stamp of clocking out and you're selling clothes and the clothes didn't come in inventory. So it's fake, you know, invisible clothes. Then the money is nowhere to be found or you know there's no record of where the cash went and it's and it's your name but two letters swapped out like oh and possibly her phone number connected. But you lying to your parents. I know you can't you can't say nothing in front of recording but I'm just like she lying to her parents. My parents probably just trying to make sure she don't get in trouble for something somebody else may have done. They don't think their daughter could do it possibly. You know, I'm more I'm more bothered of her lying to her parents. >> Okay. Sorry. >> Okay. So, you want to talk about the third? >> No, I'm just going to remain silent at this point. All right, I'll call you and uh I will let you know. Um and we'll move from there. Okay. >> Yeah, let me get back. I'm going to give it back to you. >> Unload it and then um matter of fact, if you can just leave your purse open, then I will I will put the uh I'll put it inside there, unload it, and you can do what you want from there. All right. But I'll hand you your purse outside. I'm not going to go in your purse. Okay. >> Okay. >> So, you want me to wait right here? >> Yeah. Put the gun in your purse. Zip it up. >> Cuz it's already disarmed. Why would you hand me the promise? You don't really want to hand you a firearm while we're inside the police station. >> All right. Fair enough. That phone number you gave me is a good phone number to contact, correct? >> Yeah, it's my current. >> Okay. >> All right. Thank you. >> All right. >> Tamara was ultimately charged with burglary for the scheme and the case now moves forward through the court system as always. >> Okay. Woo. Thank you. I was like, "Please tell us, did she get charged?" So, she did end up getting charged with burglary. Okay. All right. I'm like, "Hey, what happened?" But they did it. Okay. Shout out to Body Cam Guru. She better remain silent. A good lawyer can make a deal for this $1,300. Yeah. Yep. But she should never steal again. She That is a dumb thief. She should not steal again. Now, she's good at not talking too much. She still said she answered some cra some crazy ways, but she did, you know, she didn't talk as much. Okay, now we have a college student scams Macy's for $2,100 and cries after she's caught. Um, I'll let y'all watch and see what y'all start saying about this one. >> Okay. >> Hello. Good evening. How are you? >> Hi. How are you? Let me get out of y'all's way. I'm sorry. >> Thank you, Lenny. >> Good evening. >> Uh, I'm officer Gonzos with Orlando police. >> I'm Officer Wallace. >> That's my partner, Officer Wallace. Uh, what is your name? >> Mariana. >> You have your ID with you? >> It's in the car. >> It's in the car. >> Okay. Um, >> do you know why we're here? >> I do. >> Yeah. All right. So, uh, you're not under arrest or anything, but under Florida law, every time I go talk to somebody, I have to read their Miranda, right? Right. Uh, I'm sure you've seen in TV shows and stuff. So, like I said, you're not under arrest. You're good. Take your time. Is that your water? If you want to take a sip of water or anything, you can take the sip of water. Um, I'll read your uh your constitutional rights, your Miranda rights. If you have any questions at any mean just at any minute just to stop me and I'll explain it to you. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand? Is that a yes? >> Okay. Anything you say may be used against you in court. Do you understand? Yes. Can you just verbate it just for the the recording if it's a yes or no? >> You didn't? >> Yeah. >> Yes. Okay. You have the right to talk to a lawyer before and during questioning. Do you understand? Yes. If you cannot afford a lawyer and want one, one will be provided for you before questioning without charge. Do you understand? >> You want to take a sip of water? You good? Okay. Has anyone threatened you or promised you anything to get you to talk to me? >> No. Okay. All right. How old are you? >> 24. >> 21. >> 24. >> 24. any kids or anything? >> No. Who do you live with? >> Your parents? You You're from Orlando or um >> Okay, y'all started early. I was going to see how long it took. They said crying already. Here comes the waterworks. Tears flowing already. Okay, we're on the same page. I was like, I'm not moved by these tears. Okay, so we got called here for allegations of some missing money, right? I'm assuming Macy's already talked to you about it. So, I'm here to get your side of the story of what happened, right? Um, I'm usually pretty up forward and I'm honest to the person. That's why I tell you like, you know, there's no secret to why I'm here. Okay. How long you been working for Masons? It would be four months. >> Four months. And what is your job here at Macy's? >> Sell associate in sunglass. What? >> Sunglass. So you sell sunglasses. Okay. Uh and um part of your duties as associate at Sunglass Hut. Do you do cash transactions when you sell sunglasses? Okay. So the allegations that Macy's is doing is that it's been some discrepancy on your cash register, right? Are you aware of that? Okay, this is uh Orlando, by the way. The last place was Illinois, in case you were wondering. I try to catch the locations when I can. Um, this is again why you don't just get a second job. get a second job, do something because I don't understand why would you do this. Like they're not going to see that their cash registers aren't balancing out and then there's a pattern with a person. They catch a pattern if you're off a dollar too many times and you out here stealing real money. I I don't get it. I guess No, cuz it's every age group that does it. Cuz I was going to say, no, it's not even the age thing. >> Can you tell me what happened? Um to keep it short, I mean I took a few times money from register. >> You took money from the register. Do you have any idea how many times? >> A few times. >> A few times. We're talking three. We're talking 10. We're talking 50. >> Oh, it's less than 10. >> Less than 10. And do you know how much money it took? >> 2100. >> Yeah, that's what they said. Yeah. >> Well, that's what they're saying. >> How much you think it took? >> They didn't say it on his body cam, but I feel like even though she wrote it down on that paper that Macy's may may have given her, uh, I've seen a lot of the cops say, "Okay, you got a statement from them, but she wasn't read her rights. So, we have to read her her rights and then ask her questions in order for it to be used. So, that might be why when she's pointing to the paper, it's like, "Okay, yeah, you wrote on the paper, but can you just say from my recording how much you took, how many times, and all that other stuff, cuz that paper probably doesn't matter for them. Like, they can't really use that." >> I estimated under a,000. >> Under a,000. >> Okay. Uh, like on the times that you took, what was the largest amount you ever took in one day? >> 400. >> 400. And then what was the least amount you took in one day? >> I think it was like $60. >> 60 bucks. How how you were doing? >> How? >> Yeah. >> Um, >> like you were waiting till the end of the day or when the customer hand you the money, you didn't put inside the register or how do you do? No, it was whenever I closed or opened the register. >> When you're closed or open the register and then you will take the money out. >> So if it wasn't closing, I'll take it from the deposit. >> What is What do you mean by the deposit? Like the money that you would have sent it to another employee to make the bank deposit. >> Yes. Or like here at Macy's, we would go upstairs and we would like throw it into like this mail thingy. >> Mhm. And I guess they send it out to somebody or something like like we'll put in a bag deposit bag. >> Okay. And then when you put on deposit bag, do you seal that bag? >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, because this is where why I'm asking some of those questions. Okay. And I I appreciate your honesty. I appreciate you're telling me that you took some of the money, but I hate uh saying like, hey, you know, it's $2,100, right? As Macy's saying, $2,100, but you're saying, hey, it's I estimate less than,000. So, I want to make sure there's no other person involved on this. >> Oh, no. >> That could have be even without my knowledge taking that money. >> I mean, without my knowledge, I wouldn't know. >> Right. that >> um I still say for everyone I see don't know why you're answering questions without an attorney present you know I every time I see it I'm like woo y'all talking a lot without an attorney present okay that's >> why I'm saying like I want to make sure like your bags were always sealed right like when you did your deposit cuz like I never worked for Macy's right but all my young ages so I worked for other stores and I actually worked for a bank at one point and I'm assuming it's kind of pretty similar to what you have here. So like when I work on a bank at the end of the day, they call you batch, right? Which you count your money and then you put all the information and your computer system is supposed to match. Okay, he's supposed to have $3,000 cash. When you count your money, it puts in there. Yes, it matched $3,000 cash. And then we take all that money out. We actually had it to put in order. If it was like $2,000, we were supposed to all hundreds were supposed to wrap it in $2,000. And then we put on the seal envelope that I seal and I also had to initial the envelope. And then I go to the drawer, which is like the shoot we call where you put your money and then you close. >> Yeah. That's what I was talking about. The little melting. I call it a melting. Like a little shoot. Yeah. So after when you close when you close your your money like your account your money how much average money you had a day >> that varied a lot cuz I mean there are some days where there is no deposit some days where >> like all your sales were like credit cards and stuff like that >> and then but what is the like I'll say what is the largest amount you ever had on your drawer >> like in total? Yeah. Like on your sales, right? You're do you have a minimum amount that you start? >> Yeah. 300. >> You start with 300. >> And then whatever you sell cash, then it's >> that's the deposit. >> The amount plus the 300. >> Well, I don't know if it's plus the 300. >> Well, but you send that 300 back or you keep that 300 on your drawer. >> No. So, the drawer itself always >> has 300 >> has to have $300. So that if there's more than $300 when there's cash payments throughout the day, then that's the deposit that we would, you know, put in the shoe. >> So then every day will be $300 to register morning, night, you know. >> So if you had no sales, you had $300. >> Correct. >> Right. Now, if you sold $1,500 in cash, then you would have a total of 18, which is the 300 plus the 1500. >> I believe that's how it works. >> Yeah. All right. Why are you doing this? >> Like I told them it's for school that I have to pay out of pocket. Um >> you pay for college? >> Yeah. So I did get a scholarship, but there's parts where I have to pay it back. And I have an upcoming trip. I know it sounds stupid, but I have an upcoming trip next month and I'm short of money on that. >> Where are you going? >> Cancun. >> For how long? >> A week. >> A week. Going with friends, family, >> with my boyfriend. That's why I'm telling you didn't was not moved by these waterworks. This girl don't care. She said it was for school and her trip to Cancun with her boyfriend. Get another job or don't go. It was more Cancun than school. I don't don't play with me. It was for Cancun. Why can't your boyfriend get another job? Why are you stealing? you funding the trip for you and your boyfriend through stealing. Now you now you could be a convicted felon as well. You might get kicked out of school. And then I think that she's going to say um she's in something to do with the medical field possibly. I don't remember for sure. You don't don't even worry about it. If you get convicted, you're not getting your medical, you know, license or whatever you're going for later. It's not happening, man. It's just dumb. Um, what do you where are you going to school at? >> Valencia. >> Valencia College. What are you thinking? >> What? >> Yeah. What? >> It's medical assistant with EKG. >> Oh, very good. >> How far are you in? >> I just started. >> How long is the program? >> Um, it's an accelerated course, so it's like four months. >> Oh, those are hard. >> Yeah. Um, and it's two days a week, but I'm using that as a stepping stone to like do nursing later on. Nah. Well, if she has get a good attorney, she's not going to be a convicted felon. But yeah, you're risking a lot to be a future nurse. And then it's like, are you going to steal for you going you going to steal from somebody else? If you already stealing this early for stupid stuff, man, she going to be stealing worse things and just think she got smarter with it. That's what I'm saying. For my man, Leia's grandma and Kim, right, Kim? Have the boyfriend pay for the trip or help pay for the trip. That's what I'm saying. Like so she put it seemed like she's primary person to pay for the trip and then doing extra because that means there's no Cancun trip then why didn't why can't he get a second job if he can't help why is nobody getting second jobs that is going to be my answer for everything cuz if you have time to take off to go to Cancun you got time to put in for a second job I'm I'm sorry like come on says she will never be a nurse if she has a record. They do a complete background check on all nursing students. Oh, okay. She out. She's out. Unless they just drop all charges. And I don't know if is it no proay? That's like when they decide not to prosecute. I don't know if that still goes against you or not on your record, but I wouldn't take the risk. This is stupid. >> That's I mean, it's probably one of the best industries. >> I wish I had a thought and went to the medical fields test. >> It's hard. >> It is hard. and I don't know if I can do it. >> So, but it's a beautiful profession. I'll tell you that. >> You know, it's I think it's extremely rewarding. So, I see every day like we go to hospitals every day. We see people every day. So, I have my kids in the hospital at times and I'll tell you like it's extremely rewarding. It's a beautiful profession. Uh I hope you can continue especially if that's your dream. I was watching this one YouTuber um that I found and um he was talking about oh uh was it about getting scammed or scamming? I can't remember. But he was oh he was trying to get himself out of debt and he said for a year he just didn't have a social life. There was no going out. It was work, take care of the necessities, get himself out of debt. And he did get himself out of debt. Like you there are sacrifices that everybody has to make unless you are part of the 1% most times. You just have to do it. You got to grit your teeth and do it. You know, we all wish for an easier life, but that's not reality. And you stealing you make life harder in the future. It doesn't make it easier. >> You can continue and uh succeed cuz it's it's amazing. Uh how much are you paying for school? Like how much money you're short? >> Sorry. There you go. >> Boo. Tomato. Tomato. >> I'm like 6,000 short. >> 6,000. How much is the program? >> Now remember, she was cheesing and smiling when she was like, "It's for school, but it's also for Cancun." But she's still $6,000 short of school. But you still funding a trip to Cancun. Not just even for yourself, but for you and your boyfriend. I'm sorry. I do not care. Where's the tiny violin? >> Oh my gosh. It's okay. Take your time. I'mma talk over her crying. Re says she altered her life for Cancun and a boyfriend. >> I totally understand. Believe me. It's over >> a boyfriend she may not have in the next few months too. >> It's over. >> So you got like tuition for like 40% of it. That's still quite a lot of money. I paid myself through the police academy and the police academy cost me 5k, you know. And to me that was a lot. You know, the only difference that the police academy is full-time, so it's extremely hard for you to work. So I had to work most weekends and stuff. And I 100% understand, you know, what you're having to go through. Um, do you have any plans to stop? What was your goal like besides the trip? And like it was like when once you paid off your college, that was when you were kind of like going to stop or >> I was going to stop after that. >> That's a lie. It makes more sense that you were going to stop when you paid for school or something. If that was even what you were going to do cuz adding Cancun in here is crazy to me. Nah, she wasn't going to stop after this last time. That is a lie. >> One from yesterday. How much was the one from yesterday? >> 100 Do you regret >> at any point you thought as you were doing like I can't get caught and I can't go to jail. >> Okay. Anyway, Le's grandma said she's going to be in jail and he's going to be in Cancun with somebody else, right? Oh, babe, we can't we we can't lose this deposit. Somebody might as well go. Mary said, "Boyfriend has his future and you gave yours away." Yep. >> Um, is there anything that I forgot to ask that you want to add that you think is important? Anything on your side or anything that I miss? No. Um, would you like to write apology letter to Mises? Can I say >> uh prefer um in writing just because it's easier. >> Look, she don't even want to go through the effort. She don't want to write an apology letter. I don't know if it would help or not. It probably wouldn't, but it's just this is this is just how I don't know. It's just something about how it's like no, I'd rather not do that either. have to turn all this information to a judge and it's easier for the judge to see in writing than have to watch my entire body cam. You have zero obligations in doing it. >> Okay? If you don't want to do it, that's fine. You know, um that's this is 0% obligation. I only ask I normally give the opportunity to everybody once I they I see that they have some remorse that have some regret of doing just for you know, for court purpose. But if you don't want to do one now, you can always do one later. You can actually, if we get the chance to go in front of the judge, you can tell and talk to the judge over there. That's up to you. >> Yeah, I'll wait. >> That's that's something. All right. >> So, what's like the whole like >> the process right now? Okay. I'm going to go get uh her side of the story again. I want to see like everything that she has, her statement, the evidence, and everything. And then um we're going to go from there. Uh most likely, you know, and you're probably going to be going to jail today, okay? You will have a bond. Uh you'll be able to make phone calls and everything from the jail to get your family to help you out, to bond you out. Uh you're also allowed to bond yourself out if you have any cash required but uh based on the little that I already saw and if it continues that they are willing to prosecute my hands are tied on that I have no choice but to take the job today. >> So who has who has the same >> Mac there are the victims of the crime. So I'm I'm just the the the mitigator here. And you know as as for the law works every time there is a crime the decision comes from the vict uh from the victim with few exceptions right and those few exceptions I mean domestic violence homicide and stuff like that homicides because the victim can't right. So on this case which is a theft you being charged with theft. Um, and then uh the the victim is Macy's. So I know they were making a couple phone calls to their superiors and stuff to trying to get the final decision. If the decision is made to prosecute you, then I will be taking you to Orange County Jail for processing. Okay. The way it works is you will go there. I will do my paperwork. Once I complete my paperwork, you get processed to Orange County Jail. I have you ever been arrested? I assume that, right? Okay. So, uh, you get process. Okay. This process can take, uh, today's Monday, so I don't expect them to be too busy. So, I'll say probably four hours, three hours, right? Fair to say >> about three or four hours. If you need to bond yourself up, you're going to have a bond. I don't know how much your bond is going to be yet. It can be uh it's probably going to be somewhere around $2,500. Now, if you go with the bonds person, you pay 10% of that money. Okay? Which would be let's say if it's 200 2500, 10% is 250. You pay that 250. You get out, but you will have a court date. And then your court day probably anywhere 3 to six months. You get assigned a defense attorney which they will represent you for free unless you want to hire your own private attorney. If you want to hire your own private attorney, you just tell the state defense attorney that you don't need him, that you have your own attorney. If you want to talk to the defense attorney first, the public defendants office, you talk to them. Get everything with them. >> Oh, child. He's a uncle dad, too. Cuz he's he's like that other one we watched. Um just it's more now we're just giving Uh advice. We're giving advice at this point. Lord, let's get to these cuffs. We need the wrist jewelry now. Um Sharon said, "Boyfriend's probably sitting at home playing PlayStation. He's going to drop her like a hot potato." Yeah. He has no skin in this game. >> And then if you okay with him and want to use him, there's a minimum cost for you. Okay. Until you're, you know, until we go to court. either you know solve the case one way or other. All right. >> You have any questions for me? >> So I mean so if I go when I go to court >> Uhhuh. >> like what's the solution like what what happened after that? Cuz I already admitted to um pay back. >> Okay. So you can mention that to your attorney. Okay. That you agree to pay back M's full reimbursement and all that and he can work with Macy's on that. Okay. Um, again, I'm I'm I'm telling you some of this stuff. I'm not the best person because I'm not an attorney, right? I'm just speaking on my experience itself. So, your attorney will give you more details to what's the solution or uh uh the outcome of your case, you know, in a later time, but make it simple. >> Okay. Ashley said, "Trendon, you should put Uncle Dad on a shirt. I would buy it." Okay. Do you want Uncle Dad or do you want officer Uncle Dad? Let me know, Ashley, cuz I'll do the whichever one you do, I'll put it out there for everybody. You want Uncle Dad or officer Uncle Dad? Especially without being an attorney. We have every case, we have a couple solutions. One is the state attorney dismissing the case. Okay? which means the state attorney reviews everything and says we don't have enough evidence to prosecute her and they dismiss the case. Okay. The second solution is you coming with the agreement between you and the victim. But with that both attorneys have to be involved. The state attorney's office and defense attorney's office. You and Macy's the four of you will have to come in some form of agreement. Right. >> Oh child. He's still giving advice. All right. Officer Uncle Dad it is. I will have it. I I I'll try to have it by next weekend if I can. But Officer Uncle Dad coming to Coming to y'all soon. Which possibly be like, "Hey, Macy's want you to reimburse them. $2,100. You know, don't ever work. Don't ever apply for a job at Macy's again." Boom. That's one solution. I'm just saying as example. I'm not saying that it will happen. Okay. And the third one is Macy's doesn't agree on the the solution of getting paid. They want more. They want you to pay for and then you know there is more uh repercussion when it comes to Florida state law. And then they can say hey she doesn't have any prior we going to give her probation or we're going to give her jail time or whatever the judges decide in a later time. So those are like some of the outcomes possible. Uh I know it's extremely stressful if you've never been in this situation. Um you know unfortunately we still have to go through the process. Okay. Um so but I will not make any decision until you talk to your attorney. See where I'm going? You're going to have attorney appointed to you. Okay? you're going to have a defense attorney appointed to you. So, talk to your defense attorney. Talk to your attorney. Let him review all the evidence on the case before you make uh uh some decision or something. Okay. >> Meanwhile, the cop in the back uh outside the door is pacing. They ready to do their job >> because they are the ones that can give you better advice than me, your friends, or unless your friends are attorney or just searching online on Google cuz I know you will do it cuz everybody does it. Okay? So, just bear with me. Let me finish with them. My partner's going to stay here and I'll be right back. Okay. >> You have any questions? >> No. >> Just looking for questions. What's your name again? >> Do you mind standing up for me, please? Is this your uh phone? >> Okay. All right. Go ahead and stand up for me. >> All right. Behind your back. >> Can I make a call? >> Say you make a call when you get to the jail. >> Make a call. You going want to call your family or something? >> I'll help you with that. I go 390 check >> on my boyfriend. >> That's fine. We'll do that. >> Give me a >> We'll call him when we get to the jail. Uh before we go inside. my phone though. >> Yeah, I can I'll let you do that. Normally, I don't let people do that, but uh I will uh I will let you uh make the phone call. I'll help you out. You call from your phone and then you're allowed to take once the once you go inside the jail, they will allow you to take, I believe, up to three numbers out of your phone and have on a piece of paper to make more phone calls. And then over there, you can also make as many phone calls as you want. Sir, do we need any of this? >> N that's all Macy stuff. >> Any questions for us? >> About time. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. >> She was charged with scheme to defraud and thirdderee grand theft. Do you >> Dang. I'm going to let him I'm going let the narrator ask their question at the end because yeah, this is this is exactly my sentiment. think she should have looked into getting a second job since that would have assisted her in making extra income instead of setting up this scheme against the company she worked for which eventually led to her getting caught. Now she has these types of charges on her criminal record which may hinder her from getting another job from other retail stores. Let us know in the Shoot. She talking about she want to be a nurse. Forget the retail stores. You not grand theft. We have another Macy's employee. Macy's employee caught running cash and gift card scam on Thanksgiving weekend. >> This is 24year-old Jada Alexis. On November 30th, 2024, Boon Beach police responded to a call from a Macy's department store in reference to an employee caught in theft. The investigation reveals Jada has been stealing gift cards and has been caught on surveillance video stealing at least $550 over the last three days. Watch what happens when she finds out she is going to jail and how an outstanding warrant secured her no bond. >> She loaded multiple gift cards. >> Okay. >> No cash has 10 cash multiple times. She did it even today. >> Okay. Um, she loaded a gift card for $250 cash. No cap in the register. Um, she also admitted to that that video in previous onations. >> Um, today and and then she used one of the gift cards. >> Okay. >> Um, obviously the one today she didn't use. I have it she had in her possession. She brought it upstairs, got it out of her purse and handed it to me. >> Okay. That card has a value of 250 on it. >> 250. Okay. When did you guys >> Dang. What? They just think this isn't traceable. Like this is crazy. Cash is missing from your register. Gift cards missing. Like there's no Why they think this can't be traced. That's crazy. Up until the day the cops are talking to her, she was stealing. Deita Joe said, "What's up with these Macy's employees?" I don't know. I don't know. They be trying it. card. >> Uh yesterday, >> so yesterday she loaded a gift card. >> Actually, no. Uh on the 27th, which is going to be Wednesday, she loaded two both for $150 each. >> She usually transaction for herself. >> And each of them were 250. >> Uh two were were 150. Today was for 250 >> for the 20 on the 27th. He said >> each one was 150. >> 150. >> Mhm. >> And she used one of them. >> Correct. >> Okay. >> And you guys do want to change. >> I have her statement that she's not here. I have documentation on >> and she loaded the cards. Thank you. >> Hello. Hi. >> Oh, hi. >> How are you doing? >> Good. How are you? >> Good. Do you have your driver's license on you, ma'am? >> Yeah. >> What we got so far? Um, so so far she started on the 27th. So she laid it loaded two gift cards with 150 and she used one of them and she kept the other one. And today she loaded a gift card for 250 and she didn't get a chance to use them and they wanted press chargers. >> You want press chargers? >> Yes. >> Okay. She's behind. >> What? Oh my god. Can you stand up? I'm going to jail. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Shut up. >> Oh, we got to go back. You see how relaxed she was looking? She thought it was just going to be a a slap on the wrist. Okay, I'll get a notice to appear in court or something. Girl, they said the the wrist jewelry came out early on her. She was relaxed. She's like, "Okay, neutral face. Neutral face." >> She loaded two gift cards with 150 and she used one of them and she kept the other one. And today she loaded a gift card for 250 and she didn't get a chance to use them and they wanted fresh chargers. >> They want fresh starters? >> Yes. >> Okay. She's behind clos. Can you stand up? >> I'm going to jail. >> Yes, ma'am. Stand up. >> Stand up. >> Oh my god. Can you call my cousin? Just one second. Just Oh my god. >> Can I need you? I'm going to jail right now. >> 11. >> So then what? >> Can you sit down for a second? >> I have one black female thing. >> Can you check my record? There's nothing on my record. Oh my goodness. We just have to do >> What does that mean when people say that? Can you check my record? There's nothing on my record. Apparently, either you've never gotten caught or maybe this is your first time and now you're starting a record. It doesn't matter that there's nothing on your record. I know the attorneys use that when they go in court as you can see she's never been in trouble before, but right now you're you have handcuffs on you. It's happening. >> Investigation. Okay. >> Prosecu commit a crime. Right. >> Janetta said, "Where is Uncle Dad?" Officer to explain it in detail. Right. Where are they at? They're in Is it Boon Beach? Is that how you say it? Boon. Where's that at? >> Might be just He might be released on the notice to appear. Would you allow to appear in front of the court for a judge on a predetermined date and time? >> I know, but I've never This So, this is for an investigation. >> Yeah. detain right now, but you know, if there's anything that comes up that negates that, then then you'll be released. But if there is anything more, you'll be placed under arrest for retail theft or, you know, theft basically from the store. >> Okay. >> And then >> and then I go to court or get paperwork. >> Yeah. You'll probably get released with a notice to appear, which means you have to go to court within like like 30 days or so, and you have to show up and then they'll either issue a fine or pay you some fees or you who knows, you don't show up, they get issue a warrant for your arrest. >> All right, ma'am. So, I'm going to read you your Miranda rightites. Okay. Just let me know for each of them. Do you understand what's going on? Okay. Any statement can be used and will can and will be used against you in the court of law. Do you understand what that means? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, are you able to explain to me why we're here today in the office? >> Yes. Because I um I loaded some I loaded two gift cards. Um yeah. >> And what were you going to do with the gift cards? Um, probably buy stuff here. Buy stuff here. >> Okay. >> And did anybody force you to do this or you did it on your own? >> So, like my um supervisor said that we're probably going to um give you a court date. You're going to get NTA. Um, just charge you able to stay with her phone. >> Okay, this one takes a couple turns. Auntie Natty says she's already seen this one. So, first they're saying you're going to get an NTA, which is a notice to appear. I don't think that lasts on this one, though. I think she she she did too much. But right now, they're saying notice to appear. >> So, what are you thinking, girl? >> Honestly, it was just a mistake. It was last minute stuff. Holidays, >> Christmas coming up and you're like trying to shave a few points off the cost of other things and >> there's some dumb reason. We don't know. Okay. Y'all said that's Florida, too. Okay. >> Well, these are the only two occurrences there anymore that they're going to find cuz they're going to start reviewing back all their cameras and everything. >> Just this. And then to come back to your store that you work at, you you got a gift card, a Macy's gift card fraudulently at the store you work at. Then you actually used one of the cards at the location you work at. That's crazy. Then he said um she handed over one that was in her purse for $250. We going to keep watching cuz I feel like that wasn't the only one that that's in that girl purse. But yeah, but when the guy was talking to the cops, he said she gave me the one that was in her purse. So, you were still willing to withhold what you stole in your purse? Because he gave she gave him one, but I feel like she had more than one in her purse. >> Oh my god. >> How long you been working here? >> Since September, but I just started working for that. The stuff the makeup thing that I >> This is the only other time you done this. This is it. No other time. >> No other time. My record is clean. Nah, it doesn't matter your record's clean. It's the only time you got caught, but I don't know if this the only time you've done it. >> You never been arrested before? >> No. >> No. >> Which is why my pants. >> That's what happened. They call you. They bring you back here and ask you to talk to you or what they say. How >> he talked to me. He made everything seem full. Well, I mean, I would have told the truth regardless, but I didn't know any of this was happening. This took me for a surprise, which is why I kind of panicked a bit. >> At the end of the day, you know, the thing is like employee theft or people stealing, you know, their business at the end of the day, they lose money and >> people get away with so much stuff, you know, people taking money, taking taking clothes and running out the store, you know, they get tired of it after a while. And it's like you might be a nice person with nice intentions, but at the end of the day it's like they're like you took and they're going to prosecute. >> So kind of >> So what would this person be like in court? >> Well, paying something back. >> You could you could they could they could instill some kind of restitution against you. Um like where they're paying back the cost of what you what the store lost plus court fees and all that stuff. So it could cost you more than what you actually end up taking. >> Okay. or they but it's up to them up decide it's up to what the victim wants to do what they're what they want in return but you know but like say example you don't show up to court then now they're going to issue a warrant for your arrest now you're really going to spend time in jail >> like legit >> so something minor it's your first offense you never been arrested for probably just do something minor but you know he's got they want you to learn a lesson they don't want you do >> they don't want you to do it again you know what I'm saying >> I've learned I thought this was scary enough for me. >> I don't believe she learned her lesson. I don't believe it. He's starting to inch into officer Uncle Dad territory. >> But you're going to learn a little bit more, unfortunately. It's not like it's not that it's not that he's a good >> taking a um a what's those pictures called? >> So, go ahead. And you've never been arrested for anything? >> Never. >> Never had to go to court for anything or never got a speeding ticket. You didn't pay. >> Oh, speeding ticket. Yeah. >> Stuff you didn't pay. >> Yeah, but I got situated. >> You did? >> Yeah. >> What was that? >> Um my mom, we end up going to court. I had a lot of unpaid um tickets like um what do you call it? Like maybe like for a light or something like that and she paid it for me. So after all this and I do just get a court date and paperwork. Do I have to ride with you guys or >> I go home by myself? Well, the reason I'm asking you about these other tickets is there might be another issue. >> Any other kind when you have something on your file or something? >> I'm just saying like I'm asking about the tickets whether you paid them, show up to court, whatever for those because if you don't, they issue a warrant for your arrest. >> No, they're good. I don't have no warrant. >> I know, but I'm hearing some information on our my radio that >> there's a possibility you might have a warrant. >> A warrant? >> Dang, girl. Um Teresa said, "Don't you know they have cameras?" Her drawer was short, too. I'm like, it's the cameras and your drawers. Like, why do y'all not understand your drawer being short? You are the number one suspect. Like, how do you think this will go other than that? And multiple times, it can't be a mistake. It's nothing. You're just just stealing and buying your time. I don't know what's going on. >> Mhm. >> How? >> I don't know yet. That's what I'm finding out. So, when I hear back from the other officer comes back, I'll find out what those So, that's why I ask you if those tickets were sorted because if they weren't, then there might be there might be an issue. But if it's sorted out, then we'll be back to the original plan. >> Officers confirm she does in fact have a warrant for failure to appear in court. >> God dog. They was going to issue her a notice to appear. You already have a failure to appear. Ouch. supposed to >> um it's for um lawyer to appear. I think they're um shoplifting, but they're trying to confirm it now. >> She said she never got in trouble, right? Like they can't see her record. I don't have a record. I never got in trouble except Yeah. speeding ticket. This police officer comes back and says it was for shoplifting. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> Just that traffic >> trafficking. Trafficking >> for me. >> It's trafficking >> for traffic. >> For trafficking or like trafficking 77 or >> trafficking? >> Traffic offenses. >> Trafficking. That's what he said. So what was the method of uh how they how they catch her? >> Did they So she was sure it's for traffic king. So you got shoplifting and you might have traffic king in your record, but you say you don't have a record. You got to go straight to jail. >> Um they have surveillance camera catching her doing that. >> Camera came over the registers. >> Mhm. She was just getting gift cards and she was going to make purchases from the store. >> So she she grabbed the gift card, she put money on it >> and then she would come >> through the register. >> Yeah. Through the register >> and then she would take the gift card and make purchases at the store. >> Okay. Cuz she took two gift cards. >> Three. Okay. Good. She is a scheme because she's the one who wants that's a thoughtout plan of how to manipulate the system in order to benefit herself. >> Okay. >> So two credit cards or two whatever your scheme cards she put money on a credit card in order to to take money from the business which basically at the end of the day is what it is. Scheme it's a fraud basically. >> It's a fraud scheme or fraud and basically a petty >> the really itself. more of a >> petty though. A store of monetary loss, right? Did she the store of this money? Did she use it? Did she cash the card? >> No, but she used one of the cards. >> She did? >> Yeah. >> Still still theft though. Still petty theft. >> After this, what shows up on my record on a background check? >> Shoot. You should know. Apparently, you you're a career criminal now. Talking about I don't have anything on my record. Um, you'll likely have arrest records going to show scheme to the fraud and petty theft. >> Thank you very much. >> There's two things that happen. One's the the act of taking them a card, a gift card, and over systematically using it a couple times to defraud a place of the of money, right? And then the other actions when you used the card and took the and then used that money that was not yours >> to buy. >> She compounded her crimes because they can easily know she did actually end up using it herself because she used it at the store she stole from. >> So there's two things we got. Okay. >> I'm going to take you down to the station. >> Wait, you still? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Can you call? Um, you can have a phone call um when you get up. >> Yeah, when we get there, we'll >> go to jail. >> Can you just tell me really quick what's going on? >> I already just explained it to you. >> Well, I know, but you just said that I would probably be able to go home. So, what's the >> But the problem is is because you use the gift cards and you did it more than one time and so you so it becomes an an additional charge. It's not just the petty theft. But I have it, >> it's the fraud. >> I have the gift card. >> Yeah, but you already use one of the cards. So if you But I have one in there that's not used. >> Where's the other gift card at? >> It's in there. >> Yeah, but he said you loaded three cards. >> So you use one of them. So the other two >> he's I give it back. I give him back. It's right there. >> Don't let Yeah. >> This one. >> Yeah, >> sir. >> But you still >> That's the other gift card. The second one she has. >> She has the other one. Yes. Oh, she had >> perfect store the store made up. >> See, she was planning on keeping that other gift card cuz he said, "Oh, she has another one." Cuz she already gave that man that just sat down at the desk. She gave him a gift card. He thinking she he got back from her what she still had on her. Now there's another gift card in her purse. She's willing to give up. >> Their mind what they want to do, right? So now it's it's our hand. So we're we're going to arrest you for the the scheme to the fraud and also the petty theft. Right. >> Okay. Okay. So, now you're going to go to jail and then you're going have to get first appearance and then you're going to get probably bond out. They're going to get a court date. >> So, I'm going to be sitting in jail >> tonight. Yes. At least tonight. >> And then then you'll then you'll then you'll go to court at some point in the near future. Right. Okay. >> That's why I'm trying to find out what the amount of your fraud your your money that you've actually lost from the business. >> No way that I should not be sitting in jail right now. >> Well, I mean >> and getting paper. This should have been thought about before you did the action here, >> which is >> which is true. And you admitted to and I and I give you and I give you credit for at least acknowledging that and then accepting ownership of that. But there's also still consequences for what happened. >> These just don't go these just don't go away. >> I know these things just don't go away on their own. There's a process, >> right? Just cuz you're like, I admitted because you're clearly caught doesn't mean now there's no punishment. Like, okay, thanks for admitting it. Still going through the process. >> Okay. Can you at least write my cousin's number down? Cuz I know when I if I go there, I'm going to be calling off a pay phone and not my phone. I don't know that number. >> We'll we'll we'll accommodate that when we get the station cuz we still got to go to the station. She's going to process you and then you're going to get booked. She's going to take you up to county jail. You're going to get booked in there and you'll you'll wait around to your first appearance. >> Jesus Christ. Wait till my Oh, goodness. >> This is really happening to me. Sorry if I explain things, but she's new to explain things or how things need >> done. So, it's a learning process, too. So, >> do you have anything that can poke me? >> Just going to have to go under you. Do you have a bra on? >> Um, no. >> No. Okay. Thank you, sir. I'll send you the be safe. Take care. There's something here. It's locked. Put the seat on you. Let me know if you're good. Jada Alexis was charged with one count of petty theft and one count of organized scheme to defraud. Okay. Yeah, she had to take that walk of shame through the store. But fel was it did it say did they still say petty theft? I don't know. Did they say something about felony or was it petty theft? But sh or was it grand theft which is a felony? Either way. Wow. Again, about to be a felon for no reason. Let's get that second job. Um, this one. Okay. They said petty. Okay, this one. This is our last one. Employee caught with stolen wallet in his locker. Will the excuse be dumb? Of course it will be dumb on why he had this person's wallet. All right, so here's our last one. Here you go. On June 7th, 2025, police at Tampa International Airport responded after a passenger reported their wallet containing $200 in cash and several credit cards had been stolen. >> Eloy. >> Hey, sir. Officer Ver, >> how are you? >> All right. Just want to start off. Do you know any reason why I would want to talk to you? >> No, not at all. >> No. Okay. So, we're investigating a a stolen wallet. >> Okay. >> Here at the airport. >> Absolutely. >> Okay. You know anything like that? >> Yeah, I retrieved the wallet and I found it. I put it in my locker. >> You found a wallet? >> Yeah, it was a it was a guy's wallet, but I was going to make sure that the managers >> Okay. Did you Did you notify anybody about it? >> No, I haven't noticed none of my managers. >> Okay. All right. Um, in that case, yeah, let's go get it. Good. >> Okay. >> Did you uh >> Did you go up through it or anything? >> Nope. >> Okay. All right. >> Why didn't you notify a supervisor? >> Well, I was basically, but I was busy working. >> This is >> Now, how much sense does that make? You didn't notify the supervisor cuz you were busy working, but you were you had enough free time to put the wallet in your locker. Like, no, sir. No. >> That's what >> This is mine. This is >> That's yours. >> Yeah. and he had already put stuff of his inside that person's wallet. >> So basically I was too busy working so I wasn't I didn't have any time so I was running back and forth and stuff like that. So I didn't get to basically go ahead and give it to the manager. >> So >> all right well it kind of puts us in a rock and a hard place. >> Okay. >> Because you know it's in your locker your stuff's in it. So that tells me you went through it. You opened it at least. >> Okay. all that. Would you be willing to come back to the station and provide a statement to us? >> I don't want to really write a statement for anything. I mean, >> well, I'm trying to afford you that opportunity because it's just a little weird to us. >> Okay. >> I wish you would have told supervisor and that kind of then we wouldn't even be talking to you right now. >> Right. No, but I was busy. That's so purpose. >> What was your What's your policy on loss of families? >> We have to retrieve it to our managers. We have to let our managers know that. >> Exactly. I'm going to rewind it on his policy so y'all can hear what he answers. But yeah, why put it in your personal locker? Like, no, just hand it over to management immediately because you meant to steal it. It's in your locker. Especially now you don't put your own personal item inside of the person's wallet. Stop playing. Why is your stuff in their wallet? >> Yeah, but then we wouldn't even be talking to you right now, >> right? No, but I was busy. That's the whole purpose. >> What was your What's your policy on loss of families? We have to retrieve it to our managers. We have to let our managers know that we have it. But I was basically walking around doing everything. >> So where did you pick it up at? >> It was over there by the It's considered the it's the it's by it was on seat. >> Mhm. >> So I picked it up. I said, "Okay, cool." >> And then I was so busy running around the airport and basically helping out. So what I came back and just get a statement from we'll talk about it further down there. You're good. Just follow me over and we're just going to come right in here, man. >> Right. If a smoking gun was a smoking gun or being caught red-handed. Yes. Why is it in your personal locker? And why did you put your personal stuff in their wallet? Leah's grandma said, "And where's the wallet owner stuff?" Did he take out their stuff yet? I don't know if he had time to take out their stuff. Obviously, he flipped through it though cuz he put his own stuff in there. But I don't know how did his stuff get in there already cuz he was quick cuz he knew he meant to steal it. I wonder did they say at the beginning did they say because I had to step away that someone saw him with the wallet or they suspected him so that's why they checked his locker that's the only thing I can't remember cuz they found they found him pretty it seemed like pretty quick >> just have a seat up here >> All right so just I need you to uh fill out a statement here. Fill it out to the best of your ability. Um, you have a pen? >> No. >> Pen. Okay. And before you do that, I got to read you your rights because I got to ask you some follow-up questions. And >> no problem. >> By reading your rights, you know, I got to let you know. It may elicit a criminal in uh response. Okay. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to consult an attorney with you, uh, make any statement or answer any question, and the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you want an attorney but cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you before and during questioning free of charge. You may use any of these rights at any time before or during questioning. You may stop the interview at any time. >> Okay. >> Do you understand these rights? >> Yep. >> Okay. Are you willing to answer any questions, make any statements without an attorney being present? >> No, not at all. >> Okay. Has anyone threatened you, coerced you, or promised you anything to cause you to answer any questions or make any statements? >> Not at all, sir. >> Okay. So, you don't want to make any you don't want to make a statement? >> I mean, unless I'm being booked for something necessarily, I wouldn't want to answer any questions necessarily. Okay. >> Cuz right now, it seems like you're charging me for finding something. >> No, I'm just trying to ask you questions and all that, right? I can't ask you anything further. But you already offered me a statement. I mean has the nerve to be indignant with his stuff in somebody's wallet. >> Okay. >> Do a statement, >> right? I have to write a statement. But it seems like I'm If you have to read my rights, then most likely I'm >> Yeah. Well, I want to ask you some more questions. That type of thing. >> Okay. >> But before I do that, I got to read you your rights and you got to understand you got to be willing to cooperate talking, >> right? But if I'm going to get questioned any further, I rather ask for my lawyer if I'm already if I'm charged with anything. Okay. All right. Do you want to fill out a statement then? >> I mean, yeah. I could just state that I found your found this wallet. >> All right. What I'm going to ask you to do is stand up, turn away from me, and put your hands behind your back. Okay. level. >> You need two sets of >> CS. Good. Bug girl said jobs are hard to come by. So he couldn't make an announcement to see if the person was still there. He didn't want to know if they were still there. He wanted their wallet. He found his father's wallet. Their father. No, I don't think he said father cuz he said he me he said he didn't have time to notify uh his supervisor that he found somebody's wallet. I don't think he said father. >> Man, you I I wish you would have in contact with the supervisor and notified that wouldn't even be in this position right now. >> Yeah, but I was like the managers. I mean, I'm not I'm not mad at the situation or stuff like that. I didn't do anything necessarily. All I did was retrieve it. >> But if I'm It's in your possession and somebody reported it stolen >> and your stuff is in it. It's stolen, but it's it's not I didn't steal anything. I mean, I was working, so I didn't have the chance to get it to my manager. >> Thing also is that the information desk is right there on the transfer level, >> and you could have handed it to them or somebody else and been like, I found this wallet. Um, here it is. And then obviously you were on break, so we know you took your break and you didn't hand it in at that time. >> No, I just I have a short I have short concentration, so I basically was running around Sir, stop it. Shut up. Stop it right now. Um, yeah. Auntie Natty said, "Why did they use their inside voice to appear innocent?" That voice get low, doesn't it? Right, Baby Peaches. But he had time to take it to his locker and put his stuff in the stolen wallet. Right. >> Everything's going to go in the property. And that's >> No, you're good. That's >> all right. >> You just turn. Can you open your mouth? Stick your phone out. Okay. >> I just want to make sure. >> Yeah. >> So, it'll be in our lost and found office here. So, when you get released, you can come to the lost and found and it'll be um in our storage. So, >> how will my manager know if I'm being booked or anything? >> Where can I make contact with them? >> All right. >> Yeah. But this is I mean, what what's what about being charged for? >> It's going to just be petty theft. >> Petty theft. >> Yeah. And even if the associate even if the man even if the customer or the client finds it and I'm still I'm still going to be charged with petty theft. So if they go to court and they charge and they say they >> it's in your possession, man. They reported it sto you just failed to report it. >> I get it. Yeah. That's the whole situation. I understand that I'm not like a criminal in a sense. I'm not I'm being booked for petty theft, but I mean I just want to make sure my stuff is straight. >> Yeah. It'll be right outside in our office out here. >> Okay. So, >> all right. >> Once you get back, just go to the lost and found and they'll have it all. >> That's mine. >> This is all >> She's going to take care of all that. All right. >> Oh, why do you want your things to go with you? You don't want anyone to steal it? >> Come on. Oh my god. It's going to get in on the other side and buckle you in. >> Yeah. Go. Petty dead [ __ ] in sitt like he just stole a break like >> before he has his little mini breakdown. Please hype the video if you have not uh hyped the the video yet. Uh I know hopefully we're kind of in a new week. I don't know how that works, but if you are able to hit the hype button, please do. It's supposed to be somewhere where the comment and live chat button is. You can swipe and it's supposed to be a hype button. So, please hype the live. I appreciate it. >> What? Black man, right? Young black one said, "I just found that [ __ ] I didn't get a chance to go over there to give it away. Right. Like I found that [ __ ] like. Oh, okay. Here. The money still in the pocket. I just put my stuff in there just to make sure that he got his [ __ ] So they thought he was going to leave with trying to catch it. Z. >> Y'all hear the song playing in the background? She said, "Take your time. What's the rush?" I love that song. Baby, I'm a dog. Um, I like that song. He tried to explain it now. They said, "Did you want to write your statement? You didn't. Guess what though? You've already been read your rights. They will use this recording while you over here complaining about everything. They don't Why are you talking down? You didn't want to say anything. >> Locker. Technically, they wasn't even able to go in there. He just said they did. So, what was the story behind the whole thing? The wallet. >> What' you say? >> What was the whole story behind the whole wallet situation? >> Um, >> so you guys had to go over to the location, say, "Hey, somebody reported it stolen." So my manager showed you guys the videos and then you guys came and approached me. >> No, we we watched videos ourselves so we can see everything on it and then we figured out where >> So when a person says, "Oh, my stuff is stolen." He just reports it and say, "Hey, this is where I left it." >> Yeah. So then we went and looked and there you had to see me. >> We did. And that's how we found you. >> Right. Yeah. It's like short of a go. If I would have just gave it to them, they were like, "Home run. You guys got it." Well, not me. That's the whole purpose of it. If it would have made it to my office, it would have been straight. >> Yeah. >> [ __ ] What are you talking about? If you hadn't stole, you'd be straight. How about that? Okay. For those that don't see the hype button, the way I understand it, cuz I I haven't been on anyone's live on mobile. It's only on mobile, number one, that I know of. But you have to X the live chat. Not get out of the live stream, but you have to X the live chat. And then you'll see the the comment or live button, but you swipe instead of tapping on that. And that's how you're supposed to see the hype button if you have it. Uh I don't know if they're testing it out for some people or if it's available to everybody, but you have to be outside of the live chat portion and swipe. >> Yeah, >> the fact that there's such a huge time lapse doesn't help anything else. >> No, it doesn't really matter. I mean, the judge says that the judge gets to see it. >> We're just doing our job and then the judge does his portion. >> Yeah, I know. I'm not It's petty theft. And the fur brother like, "Well, it's petty theft." >> It's still petty theft. They like, "Okay, petty theft. First charge. Never got in trouble." Nope. They going to put me on probation. >> Yeah, but you fired too. And I love how he's trying to minimize it. you worried or you wouldn't be talking so much all of a sudden. You nervous, but yeah, you you're not coming back to this job. So, it's it always costs more to steal. You didn't even get the money. They got they were well, at least I I don't think he got the money. They got the wallet back from him. You're going to be fired. You're going to have to pay some type of court fine, some type of bond possibly to get out of jail and now you have to do a job search. So, you're out of money until you find another job. I got to find another. >> Oh, Auntie Natty say you have to watch the replay for the hype button. Thank you, Auntie Natty. I didn't know that. Okay, I appreciate it. >> I'm out of here. >> No, it is cuz the thing about it is when you think about it, it is a mistake. But I said it like it's not like I just found cocaine on me. That's why when a judge going to look at it like, "Okay, I'm a federal judge. Where's the situation? Okay, cool. Case number such and such." >> You're already wrong. Unless you did a felony amount, it won't be a federal judge looking at your case. You're just he's just saying whatever he want to say. And why? If you're so unbothered, then be unbothered and be quiet. Wait for your lawyer. Right. >> What was the whole item? Petty theft. It's a pocketbook with $135 or $150. Oh, really? Okay, sir. Do you know the the the the the uh the >> Oh, we stuttering now. the the the theity of your crime. Yes, sir. No, sir. Not on my right. So, obviously like you're not going to sentence me to like seven years in prison. >> Sir, I can't hear you. I can't hear you. >> No, I get it. I get it. I lost a job, but they're not going to make me like go to jail like prison. You look like a discount meat on Etsy. She is playing her music. She is not worried about this man. >> If I would have found a gun, then I like, "Oh my god." I just shook it. Oh snap. That's a simple mistake. >> That was really like a simple mistake. >> He was charged with petty theft. Share your thoughts in the comments below and don't forget to like and subscribe. >> All right. Um, yeah, petty theft. So, you know, don't sweat it then, sir. Right. Ashley said, "I love Meg." Ashley, I saw she's taking Magro kind of back to court challenging the some of the defamation stuff. I was going to see if I can find it, but I got it's some stuff that came out. I got to record. That's why I had to be like, "Okay, I can't play my other videos cuz I supposed to record some stuff and get it uploaded for y'all." I got to keep reading that lawsuit against Diddy. Then I got um I got I'm I'm finishing up the dental veneer tech which I think I'm just going to go ahead and read that live. I was going to do a pre-record to finish it out but I don't I don't think I'm be able to. So I'mma finish out the veneer tech live probably today possibly. We're supposed to be working on the puzzle today so I'm not sure. Um but yeah, I got to get some stuff and then I saw another thing come out that I'm hoping to get to y'all soon. Yeah, this this is not his first time. He was too comfortable putting his stuff in that wallet, Sharon. All right, but y'all enjoy the rest of your day. Looks like the hype button doesn't appear until you're in the replay portion, but um if you can if you ever do catch a replay and you're not in the live, please tap the hype button. I I appreciate it and it does show in the stats. So, it does seem like it helps. So, yeah. Thank y'all so much. Y'all enjoy your Sunday. I may see you later on to finish out the veneer tag Brandon dealer with his 110 counts. Yeah. All right, and talk to you later. Bye.
