This morning from SeaTac airport shows the moments before Olympic sprinter Sha Richardson was arrested last month. Richardson was arrested on a fourthderee domestic violence offense accused of assaulting her boyfriend inside the airport. In the video, you hear Richardson telling police she didn't touch him, but airport security shows her shoving him multiple times before police arrived. Reports say they were called to the TSA security lines after she pushed him in a packed terminal outside an airport security checkpoint. She has since apologized for the incident. >> Hey. Hi. Hello. >> Hey. Hi. Hello everybody. Um, >> I will have commentary. This is a reaction video. If you want to see it uninterrupted, the link is in the description box. >> He moved in this way. She followed him and all I heard was >> So, they were already through the >> Yeah, they're inside. We don't have a We don't have any kind of TSA related like security issue in that regard. It's just she was she hit him. >> You saw it. And when she hit him, was it like an open hand? >> I think she hit him with her headphones. I didn't I heard the hit. >> I think she hit him on the head, but it sounded like another hit. >> Okay. >> Did you hear anything that went like what they were saying? >> Well, he was saying, "Hey, you know, there's people in the space because >> Okay. And did you actually saw him? >> I heard the entire I don't know where the female is. >> No, I didn't grab her. It looks like she grabbed >> I know she's in our fingers right now. I just want her to know the severity of like we're in the airport. >> She had my bag. I want to get my bag and we're both going to the same place. >> Are you guys seated together? >> Um we stay together. >> We seated together. Oh, >> I'm not sure because we were supposed to be gone a long time ago, right? >> So, now we're just sitting in the airport. Are you guys having a just a real passion in your relationship? What's going on, huh? >> Okay. So, common sense. >> Okay. So, you tell me that got heated. Did you lay hands on her? >> No, it was nothing like that. >> She didn't lay hands on you. You sure? >> No pushing, no hitting, >> none of that. >> So, the officer's asking, "Were you pushed? Did you lay hands on him or on her? Did she lay hands on you? He's saying no. But like you saw the I think it was a TSA officer or somebody. They already said they saw her pushing and yanking on him. She hit him in the uh she hit him with headphones. He said he thinks it was in the head but not sure. So she it it got physical for sure and they saw her attacking him. >> Just just verbality. Just chill. That's all it is. It's none of our business. >> Okay. So if you guys make it on the plane, maybe you should go up there and ask for different seats. >> Just just just let some time come. >> All right. So >> no, you did not. >> Thank you so much. >> You're so welcome. I had to get my special bag. Is there anything else that you could let me know? Cuz now that you have these officers involved, is there anything I need to >> Yeah. Why don't you come talk to me over here? >> Talking to Was there something? >> Come talk to me over here. Here's what I'm going to say with her being the aggressor on this one that they caught in the surveillance footage and everything. That is a go-to move that abusers do when they'll say, you know, now that you got the officers involved, like it's that person's fault. But that he didn't um contact the officers. Other people engage the officers and the officers question him from what I understand. But the person that is the aggressor will usually blame the person that they were being aggressive towards. So that's what I'm seeing right now. It's just my opinion. That's what I'm seeing right now. >> I will never talk to you again. >> Hello. Hi. So, we're in a relationship. I will no longer mess with him or what he had going on. He had some stuff in my in his bag. I just need to get out of my bag. >> Okay. >> My iPad, some clothes. I can stick it out, put it in my suitcase, brought his bag back. That's pretty much it. But we have a relationship dis, you know, kind of kind of thing going on right now. But yeah, exactly. If I brought his bag back, I took all of my belongings out. I would leave him alone. You don't have to worry about me. I have a flight coming and go for myself. Like I said, I'm on the phone right now. I have all my belongings, but you don't have to worry about me >> while I'm in the airport with him at all. I just had to get my belongings. >> You need your ID on you and boarding pass by chance? >> Yeah. Do you need my ID for what if I'm if you need a possible assault? >> Assault. Oh, Chris is Listen, >> Chris, I assaulted you. Okay, >> now here's the thing. On camera, she did um assault him cuz pushing and stuff like that. Um well, actually, no, probably hitting with the headphones was the assault part. They say unwanted touch is battery. She was pushing and shoving him for sure. >> I'm so sorry. I'm just making sure it's not him that reported. One of the TSA folks reporting >> one of the TSA people because I can definitely have evidence of him assaulting me if possible. There's cameras everywhere. >> But like I said, yes, I do. My name is Sha Richardson. I do have my ID. Um, yeah, but I will definitely leave him alone. There's nothing that I want to do with him anymore. Like I said, it was a relationship thing. I needed to get my stuff out of his bag. >> You guys on the same flight or? >> Um, we were we are later on in the day because our flight ended up getting delayed. We supposed to be leaving around this time of day, but the flight got cancelled, so the flight doesn't leave until 10:00 p.m.ish. >> Okay. >> So, yeah. So, um, if you don't mind, can I step over here so I can check my ID? >> That's fine. >> Awesome. Thank you. Hi, [ __ ] So, you hear me, right? So, this is the position that Christian Coleman put me into. Okay. >> She said, "This is the position Christian Coleman put me into." You can be angry at your partner, but you start laying hands on them, that is a choice you're making. Um, and you have to accept that, hey, this is the level I chose to take to this. This is my reaction. Blaming the person that is getting pushed around and hit. You know, I don't agree with that. >> And I don't want anything cool with them at this point going forward. My name is Shar Richardson. Have no problem with letting you know who I am. Haven't put my hands on him. We had an argument. I will be honest about that. A argument. And that's pretty much it. The argument pretty much he's a liar. He lied about a couple things. That's personally, you know, just in a relationship. I I pretty much officers can understand what a relationship is about. But he lied. >> So he probably lied about being in contact with probably other women. That's usually to rise that level of anger is usually involving somebody else. So yeah, he probably he probably lied about that. >> A liar. And that was something that I kind of just grasp. And emotionally I'm just like bet you do your thing but you're asking me for things that is within my possession and for my right I don't have to give it to you because it's in my possession. But when it came to the point that I saw that he chose to make it more um about the police and things of that nature that showed that he made a choice. So I just wanted to be more professional and just come professionally and let you guys know like hey relationship thing have no problem and walking up to you guys. >> What do you mean he made a choice? He's over there lying, saying nothing got physical. It was just a verbal argument. He isn't making the choice to tell the truth. >> Right. >> Right. Was there any type of physical? >> No, I didn't touch him. He didn't touch me. I will be honest. >> Hit him with anything? >> No, I haven't hit him with anything. Not at all. He had headphones that were mines and I just grabbed them headphones, but not physically. If you would like to ask me, you can ask him, but I don't want anything. Well, she did grab the headphones, but then they say they witnessed her hitting him with said headphones. And then, of course, like I said, the camera caught her shoving and pushing him with his backpack and stuff like that. Um, you'll have to watch the intro to the the video I have linked in the description box to see that part cuz it's also um being spoken over and everything, but y'all can see that. Plus, I'm sure the news has it and everything as well. >> I just want to get your side. >> Okay. Absolutely. You can ask him whatever you need to ask him. >> But yeah, you're a coward. Is it Shakari? >> Shakaryi. >> Shakary. >> Thank you so much, Shary. Sharyi, what's your uh phone number for you? >> And like I said, I didn't have a problem cooperating because like I said, it was from a relationship stuff. So that's why I came up. >> Do you uh get your boarding pass by chance? >> Just so I can just take a photo of that. Just >> Absolutely. Yes. And you can contact me whenever you need to. >> No, you're good. >> Not my word. This Publix >> right here. >> This is my boarding pass. >> So, this is the one that got delayed. >> So, this is I want to say my original one. And this one >> That's your new one. >> No, this is the This is my original one. And this is the one that got delayed. And then the new one I think is in my personal one, but you can take a picture and I'll look for you for the new one if you don't mind me. >> Yeah. I appreciate it. I appreciate it. Yeah. right now. I don't think I have it, but they move my flight to 10:00 p.m. if they don't mind. I don't think I just physically have it, but you can take a picture. I don't mind at all. >> It's the last day. Are you going heading back and forth? >> Yes. No, no, no. I'm heading to um Eugene, Oregon. >> Oh, okay. >> Mhm. >> I can probably find it this way. >> Yeah, you can find it that way. >> It's just to kind of document. >> No, no. Please, I Please document everything. I have no problem with you documenting anything. And I'm going to do my part so you can do your best. and everything. I would never I would never if I ever talk to him again. If I ever talk to him again, you'll find me in my face. I will never ever talk to him again. I will never deal with you again. >> Oh, hi. How are you doing, sir? I'm >> doing right. >> I'm doing good. down. Okay. >> But I had to put down I'm so sorry you're grabbing me right now. >> Yep. He's under arrest. >> As we watched in other body cam footage, the primary aggressor does get arrested in domestic incidents. So um this is no different that you know for this present time she is seen by witnesses and later on surveillance footage of attacking him. So off that incident that they're actually talking about today, she's the one that's going to be arrested. >> I'm under arrest right now. What am I under arrest? What am I under arrest for? Christian, are you serious right now? >> Okay. >> Arrest for assault for TV. >> I didn't assault him though. >> Video cameras. >> I literally was having a we were having an argument. I'm not resisting. So you don't have to argue harder. Christian, are you serious right now? >> Washington State. He doesn't get a say. >> But I understand. And we were arguing but I understand entirely we were arguing. >> Okay, I'm not going to resist. >> Many times the person that is the aggressor also that it doesn't sink in that even if the person that what was on the receiving end didn't want this to happen. They the police always tell them look this is the state law. We have to we are taking somebody. This one's a clearcut one on why they're taking her. Um but they never let that sink in. They keep looking at the person that that they attacked like this is your fault and you know you made the choice. You did what you did and then these are the consequences. >> I'm telling you that we were arguing. I didn't assault him. I didn't do anything wrong. But the fact that your guys are doing this to me and he's the man in this situation. I'm just going to I'm going to comply. >> I am. I'm not going to argue with you at all. But you had me on camera but at the same time what he has on camera >> Yeah. He's the man in this relationship, but for the present incident, you were seen attacking him. Men can be victims of domestic violence as well. >> Phone shows something different. So, if I need to show that, I will. >> We have your cameras all around here. >> Okay. But I have my phone that shows something different. But Christian, thank you. Christian, >> don't talk to them right now. >> Okay, I won't. Thank you so much. Officer, >> they are arresting me right now. Christian, [ __ ] they're arresting me right now. Do I Am I going to go actually to jail right now? >> You are going to go to jail. >> Wait, but right now it's a physical. >> We I didn't Can he tell you that I didn't do nothing to him? >> Christian, are you serious right now? >> All right, >> Christian. I'm about to go to jail because of you right now. >> You know what? Okay. >> Okay. >> I will never [ __ ] with you again. >> Ever. Got to go this way. >> Okay. Can we please like hold these like protect like soldiers or something? Like this is like completely honest. We were in a relationship. We had an argument. >> Are you serious right now? >> So I'm under arrest for right now. Okay, let's just go. I'm not resisting or anything. >> We know you're not. >> I'm not resisting. That's on record. Correct. >> Yes, it's on audio. Everything's being audio video. >> Absolutely. >> Can I at least get the handcuffs off? Like I'm not violent or anything. Let's see when you guys go to church. >> Let's see. So, are y'all going to arrest him? I plan on pressing charges on him then. >> Okay. >> Is this her normal tone or does she Is this like extra sarcastic and condescending right now? I'm not used to it, so I'm not sure, but she sounds very condescending right now. Um, just given the fact that it's, you know, look, you you did attack him. Uh, should you stay in relationship with him? No. Did he do something wrong? It sounds like he lied to her. So, you know, yes, that but but the part about the law intervening is when you start you laying hands on people and it's witnessed. >> Okay. Okay. I plan not pressing charges on him cuz this right here I feel like it's completely unacceptable. We had an argument as in a relationship and y'all didn't see you put hands on me but y'all saw me put hands on him. So, okay. >> Excuse me. >> So, am I going to jail? >> You are going to jail. >> Who's going to bail me out? >> You can make a phone call when you get there. Are you serious right now? >> You're going to have to go see a judge for it before that. >> Can I please make a call to my family right now? >> Are you ser Can I make a heat process for me when you >> Are you serious? >> Oh my gosh. Right now. Oh my gosh. >> Oh my gosh. Okay. >> Her shock. I wonder is it because she did reference that she has stuff in her phone. possibly he has gotten violent with her. If she has that, she does. She needs to report it. You're you're a victim. Report it. But I'm wondering if she's shocked that because she's so used to maybe this is how she deals with people when she's angry or a person she's in a relationship with when she's angry tit for tat. Like does he also deal with it this way? I I just I wonder um cuz she is in very much shock and disbelief. But it's like clearly multiple witnesses saw you attack him. What did you think the outcome was going to be? >> Who would I be able to call right now? Any numbers that I know? >> You can bring your phone with you to jail. >> Okay. Thank you so much. >> When that happens and you can ask them >> when y'all let me go, can I call and press charges on him >> if possible? >> But because y'all have me on camera, correct? Y'all arrested me. Correct. >> Correct. >> And y'all didn't even listen to my side of the story. Y'all just arrested me. Correct. Well, they have you on camera and and a report was initiated as well. So, if she's a victim, she has to initiate a report so that there's something to even say that other types of violent incidents occurred against her. Um because it does happen that where you see the one that's normally abused, they'll then, you know, start fighting back or doing other stuff or reacting in anger in a physical way. It can't happen. I don't know cuz the only thing we saw was this one. But um you got to report it. You you do have to start there with it being reported though. And it can't be in the moment. You're already being arrested for you know what what witnesses saw you do. >> So I just want to hear that part of the story because I have proof that and if everything okay I'm not even a >> I'm not I'm not resisting. I just feel like this is crazy and y'all didn't even listen to the woman side of the story. But y'all accept the fact I wasn't >> when they stopped her to question her. That was them listening to her side of the story. That's usually how it goes. They all they do everybody came out watch so far. They talk to both parties. Even the one if they seem like a clear victim, they talk to both parties. Not just the one that's identified as like, oh, that's for sure, you know, the victim or whatever or whatever they think. They have to talk to both parties. And they have and she explained it, but she said nothing physical happened when something clearly did. Now you've shot your credibility as well on anything else. Um, plus I mean even if she told the truth, even telling the truth, she'd still be going because she did, you know, assault him. So, I just don't understand what she doesn't understand about this particular incident. >> Has she been read yet? >> No, I haven't had written any rights read to me. >> We're going to go ahead and read your rights. >> Please don't read my rice cuz I feel like Do I have to stay in jail for the night? >> Are you telling me that I have to go to jail for the night? Do I have money if I can bail out tonight? >> Can I bail out tonight? >> You have to see a jail. You have to see a judge. >> In jail for the night? Are you kidding me right now? >> I think I have to go to jail tonight. >> I'm not arguing. I'm not right. >> Can I get out tomorrow? >> She can't be used. >> Get out tomorrow. >> I'm just asking. Yes. Can I get out tomorrow? I do wonder in this case since they actually did question her about what happened why they didn't read her her rights before they asked her her side of the story what happened. And I wonder how much of this is going to be used because everything she said was before they did this part. >> If you can afford to hire a lawyer >> I have I can afford a lawyer for questioning if you wish. >> Okay. I have a lawyer. I can I can pay for a lawyer. >> All right. I'm just going to go ahead and just take everything out of >> anytime. Okay. But my phone all the all the numbers that I have. >> Hey, listen up. All right. >> I'm not I'm not arguing. I'm just saying that all the numbers each other's rights. I explained to each other. >> Are you serious right now? >> Yes. >> Are you serious right now? >> Yes, I am. >> I can pay for it for me to get out of the situation. >> You understand your rights? >> I understand my right. >> Okay. >> Are you serious right now? >> Yes. >> Okay. I'm not going to fight you. Take whatever you need. Just take it. Just take it. >> I'm not I'm not fighting or resisting. Thank you. Now, let me know. I just want to recognize I'm not resisting. Okay. >> I'm in a domestic violent relationship. I'm in a domestic violent relationship and y'all capture me. I can show you proof of me being in a domestic violent relationship and he won't even come out here enough to help me. >> Do you have anything underneath this? >> No, I just have only a bra. >> You just have a bra on. >> I just have a bra on. Real quick just to make sure there's nothing in there. >> Okay. >> Who would I have to call to get out of jail? >> I just have a bra. I mean that. Like I don't have a bra. >> Who would I have to call to get out of jail? checkpoint on again >> interviewed him and go ahead and say, "Hey, this is the number I need." >> You want to take your cash with you? >> Okay. Okay. Thank you. >> You want to take your cash with you to jail? >> Oh, yes. Um, can I bail myself out? You got to see a judge first. >> I have to see a judge. Like, I can't even bail myself out. >> Can he say that I wasn't being domestic? Like, we had an argument as in relationship. >> I'm not resisting. I'm just I promise you. I promise you. I don't have anything in my pocket. I'm just asking. If he says that I wasn't being domestic, y'all still are going to arrest me no matter what. Correct? And see, that's the thing when we watch this and if it's the man that's the aggressor, that's definitely we know they're intimidating the the woman when they say, "Well, what if she takes it back? What if she'll say, "I didn't do it." Then what? It's like, "But you did do it." And this time we actually saw it. Most times it's happening in the apartment, in the house, places that are out of sight. No camera is recording it most of the time. Um, so that's red flags in a relationship for sure. If she's already been in a domestic violence situation and and she was the victim, she should start reporting it. Hopefully, she just doesn't stay in a relationship with him. But you, one party always thinks they're protecting the other party by not reporting them. You go ahead and report it because you right now look like the only one that has been violent at this time. She has on her phone. That helps a lot to um you know just report it and everything. But you know this is this is where we are right now. >> Y'all still going to arrest me. So I have to stay in jail overnight tonight >> because of him and he's not going to come and bail me out. >> Want to put your ID back in here? Okay. >> Okay. I just have a question. Can I get bailed out tonight? >> Not tonight. >> So I have to stay in jail tonight. Are you serious right now? >> Yeah. I got to see a judge in the morning. >> Serious. Like he didn't tell you that we were arguing. I'm not I'm not resisting. Tell me the way you got to do. I'm not resisting. But can he tell you that we were arguing? I can't come here and tell you that we were arguing. Like, does that help me at all? Are you serious? >> That's all right. >> Please, I have a question. >> Does that help at all that he be coming out and say we were arguing? >> Okay, I'm not resisting. Please, we got But can y'all can he come and say that we were arguing like we're in a relationship? We had a a argument. Carrie, >> can he come and say that we were arguing? But this is asking like we don't relationship. Like I know y'all understand that argument afterwards, but tonight this is what >> but I have to go to jail tonight. >> Like even if I bail out and he says that he's not even out here. >> This isn't we don't have any discussion about that. The judge you have to go to jail and you have to see. >> Are you serious? Like I have work, like everything. We're in a relationship. We had an argument and that's how y'all treat me. He's not even out here. Can y'all talk to him? But I'm going to jail. Are you serious? >> I'm not pushing. I'm not resisting. I don't have anything on. >> I know. I just have to check. >> I don't have anything on everything. I don't have anything. >> I just have to check. I'm >> serious. >> He's not even coming out to vouch for me. Can he come and vouch for me? >> Like nothing. Can I'm just asking questions. I'm not resisting at all. >> He can't come out here. >> He can't come out here. >> Are you serious? >> You guys have a chance to talk? >> Are you serious? >> He actually already did try to vouch for her again. He said it was only verbal, although that was not true. That's what he said. >> I am. >> We had an argument. I'm not resistant. Can y'all just talk to me as a person? >> I am talking to you. >> I will legit leave him alone. Like I won't go nowhere near him. Please. >> We don't have that discretion on this call. >> I'm asking you. I haven't done anything but argue with my boyfriend. >> I had a boyfriend. We had an argument. >> I understand that. However, >> I don't have a car. I had a layover. >> Are you serious right now? >> Are you dead ass right now? And I have to stay in jail overnight for this. You have to see a judge. >> I can't even bail out tonight. >> Correct. >> Can I at least pay for bail? >> You cannot bail out. >> I cannot bail out. >> Can I at least take the coke off in the back? >> I'm not going to resist y'all. >> You want the co? >> My name is Shakara. >> Do you have any weapons on your body? >> No. I don't have anything. You can take my hand off. I don't have anything on me. >> So, I'm just going to be a transport vehicle. She's going to >> take these off. >> Unfortunately, not ma'am. At this point, you're a criminal. >> I know nothing about a criminal. I had an argument with my boyfriend. You see the girlfriend? >> You know what? I'm not resisting. I want to stay in the car. >> This is crazy. Y'all not even listen to that thing. >> I do. You want me to take it off? >> It's not a weapon. Like, I'm not resisting. >> Trying to argue with my boyfriend. I know, but you got to >> And see, that worries me, too, because if you're saying that you had domestic violence incidents with him where you're the victim, then what would you say if he's like, "Oh, it was just an argument, but there was hitting involved because you you were pushing and and hitting on him in the airport, but you're calling it just an argument." So, you have to see that that's not just an argument because you're saying that he has done that or maybe worse to you. And that's what worries me. Like I feel like she's really convinced it was just words. It was just or it was just an argument and what she did because she's not going to be as strong as him wasn't also domestic violence. But it still is. >> Listen to me as a person. >> I have you have to go ahead and Yep. Thank you. >> This is crazy. Are you serious right now? Cuz I'm arguing with my boyfriend. >> Do you guys get the phones that were the phones that were >> phones. >> Do you guys pick up the phones that were on top of the green? >> I just got out here. I'm sorry. >> The phones that were on top. >> No, we already got everything. >> Okay. The one that was over. Okay. >> I don't know if both of those are hers or as >> Yeah, they were just both in her pocket. So, okay. She was charged with fourthderee domestic violence assault and held for about 24 hours, but the case was cleared after the alleged victim declined to press charges or participate as the victim. >> There you go. He declined to pursue it. The state, I guess, chose to not pursue it without his cooperation, and so she was cleared of it. But all right, let me know what y'all think about this one, and I'll talk to you later. Bye.
