You said climbing steps. What does that mean? Climbing steps. You're not explaining. I explained it twice and I demonstrated it twice. On your ninth step, you're going to take a series of small steps outside. The small steps does not mean anything else. Did you not see what I did? Okay, I'll do my I'll do my nine steps, but I'm saying like this like what do you mean? Like I can do those small steps like that, but like I don't I don't understand what the exact Nikki, do you want me to explain it again? It doesn't matter. I have to do the rest of this. Whenever Whenever you're ready, maybe begin. Nine steps forward. I don't know exactly what you meant by that, but I'm going to take that as a one. Pivot pivot to the best I can. I I really try to understand, but I don't. Do you have any problems with your feet or your ankles? I have problems with how you explain that to me. Yes. You have problems with your feet and or ankles? How you explain that? Yes. Okay. So, you have problems with your feet and or ankles. So, you can't stand on one foot exactly. I don't know. I just I just know I I cannot I cannot. It's a yes or no. Can you stand on one foot? I can't cooperate with you. You can't explain to me how to do that. So, what I want you to do is put your feet together, hands to your side. Okay. You're going to stay like this until I tell you to do otherwise. While performing the further tests, Mickey became argumentative and increasingly emotional. Due to her behavior, the cops decided to take her into custody. The one leg stand. I'm not a When I ask you, you're going to raise 1 foot of your choice. You're going to raise it about 6 in off the floor. You're going to look down at your foot and you're going to count out loud. 1,001 1,002 1,003 so on and so forth until I tell you to stop. Until you tell me to stop. Do you have any other Do you have any questions with that? So my leg I'm going to demonstrate what you what I'm going to ask you to do. I'm not saying that by any situation, chance or whatsoever. I'm not saying that. I am saying that I do have my medical card. If that comes down to anything, it's in my wallet right there, which you can check and pull out without me even touching. I have not touched anything. I've not done anything illegal. I've not done anything I'm not supposed to do. I was just trying to go home. That was it. And if there's anything I I just feel like I just want to go home. Like I don't know what I can do to do that. But I I work like four jobs. It is stressful. And like I don't know how else to say it in like a way that I'm just trying to go home. Okay. Like I don't I don't know. I don't know what I can do. I don't know what else. I just want to go to sleep. That's all all that I have. And I want and I know and I just I just got off work and I'm tired and I want to go to sleep. All right. Do me a favor. Turn around. Put your hands behind your back for me. No. Go ahead. Put your turn around. Put your hands behind for me, please. [Applause] All right. Right now, you're being placed under the rest for driving under the influence. Okay. For a small portion as is. Unfortunately, ma'am, if if she wasn't if no one else was hurt, then we might have something. But there is no one hurt. We just can't. It doesn't matter. All right. Come this way for me. Yeah. And the nicest mom like don't rest anyway. I never mind. Is that mom or grandma? You want your grandma to have your stuff? No, I'll just bring it down. All right. Whatever. All right. I got her ID. You got the ID? I got your phone. That's all. All right. Come this way. These are the smallest. Don't Don't make this hard on yourself cuz you want to want to catch more charges. I want to because of you. So just so you know, I want you to all to know that I'm ready to in my life and it's me because of all of you guys. So when I do get out all of you guys, can I see Martin and Mura and that'll be on? It doesn't have to be any more talking, but it'll be on my notes. I might put on I do not want to Yeah. I won't move, but I will as soon as I get high and stuff, you know, I wanted to die before this and you guys just secured that. I'm about the cuffs on me. I'll still die as soon as you get me out of this and your name will be on the the note. She already got the stuff. Yeah. Put the Put all the cuffs. I know. Just remember, do you want to look me in the eyes before you kiss me dead? Cuz this is going to be it. I just want you to know. I was ready to kill myself before this long even. I'll put my hand wherever you want me to, but I just want you to know you're going to be the face I remember when I was ready to die. All three of you. Mickey threatened self harm, prompting officers to restrain her. Despite this, she continued making dramatic statements. Meanwhile, her mother arrived and the police explained the situation to her. I have no piercings. I have a big piercing. You're going to take that off or no? Oh, no you can't. That's what I thought. Exactly. Exactly. I'll let the jail do it. But I don't want this man to touch me at all. So, I want to make that known. Can that be made known or No, you're going to disregard every single one of my requests. Are we going to disregard every single one of my take your necklace off? Okay. But I don't want that man to touch me. So, can you make sure he stops touching me? No, because I would be okay if either one of you took it off. But if that man touches me, Charlie for Charlie, too. Well, I mean, he's touching me. He's touching me and that's not okay. You're under arrest. So, I'm not I already told you that it would have been okay with me and I wouldn't say that you did it or he did it, but I'm not okay with it. You can have a female officer do it and I'm still not okay with it because the fact that he's been touching me as much as he does and it makes me uncomfortable. And I guess that's not that's fine with you. It doesn't matter. You're not realizing that the fact it doesn't matter. Do whatever you want because you guys don't care anyways. It doesn't matter since you guys. Yeah. Touch whatever you want. Who cares about my personal right? I'm not a human anymore. What I'm going to do? It doesn't matter. Do whatever the you want. Okay. Do whatever you want. And I just want to know he touched me inappropriately. And it's okay. He touched me inappropriately and I don't go to court. He touched me. Exactly. And my me touching crazy is because he touched me in a way I was not I was not okay with him touching me. And that is still he'll take it out. No. Listen. Yeah. But um all everything that's on me, I am 100% hair tie. I'm 100% okay with anybody touching me as long as it's out man. And you guys didn't get my consent before that. And I'm not okay with that. I'm glad you guys are okay with that and you have that on camera cuz I'm not okay with that. Have a seat, Mickey. Okay. I would love to. Thank you. You guys are such angry. Nice to meet you. Um I saw her do all the stuff he asked her to do. I videoed it. There's nothing that says she's drunk. She may have got a drink. I I don't know. She said she came from drinking and it omitted from her breath and the way she's acting on the That's not alcohol. I know when she gets drunk. Once she get the body camera, you can see the way she was acting prior to you coming here. We actually had to calm her down. She couldn't answer any questions. Like everything I told you on the phone. That's what I said. That's like the last step. So what we're doing right now, we have to take her number one to the hospital. We have to take her to get breathalyzed. Okay. So, that's steps. So, if anything, follow her everywhere. You're not going to be able to go into the hospital because she's Yeah, of course you can follow her, but I'm not sure if they're going to the station first and then the hospital. Okay. Station. They do an observation. I don't remember how many times cuz he's a DUI officer. He goes to a special school for that. So, they do an observation and then they have to do everything else. All righty. So, when can I get her out? She'll call you from the from the jail. The last thing this kid needs, she has gone through so much in her life. Do you think that's maybe something happened today? It's possible. I mean, she's got a for mom. There might have been something stressed her out today or something, but maybe like I said the last time I had to I put her in for checked everything after about 8 hours, whatever it was, and they ran every drug test known and kind on her and nothing came back. Yeah. And they never did find out what it was. He the doctor diagnosed and that's what caused the something stressed her out and that's what caused it. Got you. So I mean getting her a DUI for this is ridiculous. The kids already Yeah. But now what would have happened if she would have killed somebody, you know? Oh, I understand that. She totaled three cars. I understand that. But I don't I think it was just an accident. I mean, yeah. Mickey was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, DUI, and property damage. People get so drunk they can barely walk. But in this shocking case, this woman took it to another level. She got so intoxicated that she drove straight into a lake. So I was coming, I just left the gym, going to town, get some Taco Bell, as terrible as that sounds. Right before Ches Plaza, they have that or in Ches Plaza where little drop element is. I saw a white car just hauling ass in the parking lot. So I start to slow down. It look like they're about to stop right here. And the moment I get that coming out, they notice this one down because they're doing all this construction. And then she just puts it to the right right before the metal guard rail hits the bank. On September 13th, 2022, officers responded to a bizarre incident in Hot Springs when Lavana drove her car straight into Lake Hamilton. The officers rushed to the lake with concern, trying to assess the situation. They soon located swimming in the water, holding on to a log for support. The car. Where's it at? It's down there in that hole right down there. I got that pulled up. That's negative. I'm [Music] still north of that. How do they get all the way down here? He's going backwards. You okay? But hey, were you by yourself in the car? Yes, sir. Okay. Yes. Yes. Yes. I said that five times. Step up there on that concrete and get out of the water. Get you out of the water. Yeah. Hey, let's go. Let's go up top. Walk up top so we can get you checked out by the ambulance. Get you dried off and get you dried off and then you can call somebody. Okay. Yes, sir. She advises there was a male with her passer by heard a Was there a guy with you? No, I'm so alone. She's advising she was alone. I've said that five times. What? What happened? Some guy uh almost hit me. I ran off the bridge and came down the side and went into the locker room. Okay. Well, I don't know if it was a guy. It could have been a girl. It was a car. So, you didn't come off the road. You went off the side. Okay. Were you wearing a seat belt? Yes. Yeah. And you got out. I unbuckled and got out of my window. Yeah. Somebody was somebody with you? No. No. Okay. Why' you think that? cuz some witnesses advised they possibly heard a guy hollering. Are you hurting anywhere? Um, freaking out. Yes, but I don't think I'm hurt. Okay. You need to walk up to the Yes, but my shoes my my my I don't have any. Yes, I can walk. Here you go, man. Thank you. Come down here. Here's a car out by that pillar. So, oh my god, my car is shut. My purse, my everything. My wife is saying somebody has to call her. We'll get up there and we'll call. Okay. When officers helped Lavana out of the water, they immediately noticed signs of intoxication. She was unsteady on her feet, had glassy eyes, and rire of alcohol. I mean, I mean, you can see the track. She taken those I mean she's dude you can you can smell the booze coming off of but I mean I mean hon you can't get the the license plate info for the call she can pull it from pull it off of her name we were able to pull a vehicle off of one earlier today I don't know if we can do that I mean if we can get the vehicle that'd be awesome but we'll just put that it was completely cold and let's go talk to the supervisor and Who's most right out here? [Music] Step over and go to the ambulance. The cops spoke with a witness who described seeing Lavana's vehicle speeding across the grass, failing to stop before hitting a metal guard rail and plunging into the lake. That's some Yeah, there's branches, car parts. Yeah, you can you can smell the alcohol just it's bad. Um, that may be alcohol bottle. I did the guy say that she was invisible. I I have no idea. That's what I heard. But if he was in this if he was headed outbound. Yeah, cuz she would have to be headed inbound. Yeah. How is Go ahead. I'm telling you, she's None of it makes any sense. She's so drunk. She's so drunk she don't even know. But they're talking about Iron Man. But I said she's so drunk she don't even know. Like Yeah. She's She's pretty messed up right now. I mean, it's it's totally y'all. She didn't even She didn't have an accident. So, she hit the water. She was good all the way up to the water. Just I got it, dude. Yeah, she ran. She she missed all the the dividers back there was that I noticed them coming away from that Honda element there. So I started to uh started to slow down, you know, right? I was slowing down and it looked like they're about to stop and then the moment like I'm right there at the ex like where their exit is, they just punched the gas, realized it and then cut off. Like so it's weird. It's it's almost like the moment they hit the grass, they just took off like they thought they was down another road. Yes. Yeah. They call us out cuz they they knew I wanted to see you today. What's going What happened? Well, apparently woman's driving east, get to these barrels, freak out, make a right and turn to the woods, punches it, and she lands way out there where they're standing. Is she okay or Yeah, they said she swam back. What are they trying to Well, I guess they really trying to locate the car. He said he seen a male or sounded like sound like but the girl said she was by herself. So they pulled out in front of me is what happened. So I was coming I just left the game going into town get some Taco Bell as terrible as that sounds. Right before Chester Plaza they have or in Ches Plaza where little drop cream element is I saw a white car just hauling ass in the parking lot so I slow down. It look like they're about to stop right here. And the moment I get that coming out, they notice this lane down because they're doing all this construction. And then she just puts it to the right right before the metal guard rail hits the main bar in it. Yeah. I don't I don't know. Yeah. Look like they're about to slow down. So, I mean, I I was slowing down and then it's just they gassed it, noticed the cones, hooked it to the right. I mean, right before this metal bar was right, hit this and just went straight down. So, I didn't, if anything, I thought the car would be, you know, like right here. I didn't figure it be launched the out, you know. So, momentum first before it sinks, it's going to skip. You guys need anything else for me? Uh, let me make sure cuz I don't know if the countyy's taking this cuz it's a weird how it works. I was that well here up here city Waters County. Ah okay. So let me make sure that they're not going to need to talk to you like that. I got a witness statement and he said apparently he was following him. He said he she first came out and then when she seen all the barrels he said she went off the road right here. Yeah. Now you can see the tire right there. Right. There's no wreck right here. I agree. So I I totally agree. There's no accident. There's no accident. Though Lavana refused medical attention, officers continued to observe signs of impairment. Despite being allowed to perform field sobriety tests, she refused, leading to her arrest for a fourth DWI offense around. Yeah, there's a camera right there. Sir, any around the road that could prove what happened? Thank you for letting me know though that there's a camera right there. It's very helpful. My car, I'm not sure if it is, just got stuck in the lake. Somebody just ran me off. They're the other people are dealing with that part of it. So, what car was like something? You know what? Somebody in this ambulance is saying that a man ran me off the road. And is anybody looking into that? Calm down. My Lincoln is in the water. Me? No, I'm I I'm certainly after you. Somebody told you that there was somebody in the car. Andrew may have told one of these other guys. I'm asking you because I want to be sure that you got sir. 17 people have asked me in the past. You just ran out into the lake at a high rate of speed. We want to make sure into the lake. The man ran me off the road or a woman. I don't know. A car ran me off the road. That's why I asked the officer if there were cameras. No me, huh? In a real big hurry. behind the road or drive. Okay. Um, would you like to feel guilty? Are you kidding? No. I just came out of a lake. Yes or no? No. Something else. What is happening? going to jail for DWI. Why? Well, I can see Nagmus just looking at you while talking to you. You smell like alcohol. You ran off of I did run off. I got run off. Okay. But right, you went over. It was over 1,000 ft that you went from the grass to the lake and then you shot off into the lake like No. Yes. Very much. Yes. So, you're that you're not going to Would you just listen to me? That's not what happened. That's not what happened. Okay. Well, I can look at the tire tracks and tell exactly what happened. It doesn't matter if someone else run you off the road. You're intoxicated. Hop in the car. Damn it. Lavana was charged with a felony DWI along with additional charges for refusing tests and driving with a revoked license. Suspects are rarely honest with the cops, often spinning lies to dodge trouble. But this case was different. The drunk man was so compliant that when the cops encountered him, he cleaned up his act by confessing. All right, please for me to inter back for me. Separate your hands for me. All right. Almost missed it. Here we go. So, can you tell me how are we going to take a turn here? Just kind of lost track of the road. Yeah. I don't know how that happened. But, uh, car is going to go up to Upman's Towing. All right. It's on 12th Street. So, I I don't know what the charges are. I'm not sure. But I I'm sure they have a storage fee and a tow fee. Okay.
