us brought him to us and said that he don't belong on the ship so he got inside so we want him arrested trespass um we may be calling Coast Guard to deal with the breach side of it but uh don't knowy staying at CS in fact he asked me to drop him off there we came over today he has a slight drinking problem was drinking a little but he's not intoxicated decided he wanted to go aboard the ship he walked over to Pier V bypassed the front with the signs you remember y the signs and say trespassing no trespassing all that stuff any who he walked down there got in the group got it in the right hand side of the line and they passed them through correct well you know how they they have two spots to check people in check IDs at the where at sometimes they have a third one CU it's a lot of people correct Mr Todd he just walked through he well you walked through over here Mr Todd he walked through and then got on the cruise ship have a seat right there to where they said where's your ship's ID and he said what did you say to him when you ask for the ship ID Mr Todd person so he said nothing and they checked for his ID and he was in a ship Thomas was charged with trespassing next up let's dive into a case where a civil dispute escalates to the point of calling in the officers resulting in a dramatic trespass warning on April 26th 2024 an e-commerce company owner called the officers to seek assistance in resolving a dispute over a retail inventory claim payment between him and the vendor officers arriving at the scene and CED the e-commerce owner and he started detailing his side of the story what was that okay so what's going on he's right around the corner so I run a I run a e-commerce company um a company that buys and sells e-commerce businesses okay um this is one of my vendors I have um $1.2 Million worth of retail inventory in this Warehouse okay um I owe him $79,000 I've been trying to pay to I come here today to pay him and grab my inventory I've been trying to organize this for a while um what I'm led to believe right now he had executed a a text message on Monday morning that said I had 7 days to get here grab my stuff and pay him or he was going to essentially um keep my inventory after you paid it yes and so what I'm so what has to happen is I just need to get my stuff out of here you paid him already no no I have the check right here yeah they should be they're open till 6 usually okay so I mean they won't accept your payment how long has it been after that email came out uh that was the the email came out on Monday morning that he wanted to do this and then I told him yesterday that I would be here to pay him and full he said I don't want your payment essentially so he sent you an email Monday yes saying you have 7 days it's only been 4 days yep so let's count Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday yep and then basically I don't have any business days left I don't know if he's open on the weekend so that's what I was kind of getting at what's his name um Ariel Ariel all right and he's in there you spoke to him right now no I I'm waiting for you oh okay all right so just wait here if you see another um patrol car just Reef him on it cuz he's the my U the primary the officer then proceeds to take account of the vendor before taking the next course of action [Applause] [Applause] I did they coming hey how are you Ariel yes Ariel yes okay so I think you know where we're here um you have a guess buyer that yeah he's trying to buy something or pick up something M he say that he owes you guys um $74,000 and that he paid x amount of money and he's here to pick up your his stuff you gave him 7 Days on Monday and he wants to know if he could get his stuff he has the balance a check mhm I don't know if it's $75,000 $774,000 don't quote me on that but he said he has the check with him mhm and that you told them that he you weren't going to give him his stuff yeah um it's not correct we told him that it had to be paid okay okay hasn't been paid okay we like them we trespass off the property it's become a civil matter at this point yes that is correct lawyers are involved it's kind of got into this point where we try to tell them that you cannot come to the property you would like you to trespass off the property all right so you want him to be trespassed from cuz he's be he's been here before he was here I don't remember exactly when but I like trespass now because he's been warned that he's not welcome back to the property okay I can do that that's not going to be a problem you're the owner of the property so we could do that and then I'm going to let so I could let him know so I could go back there and let him know you guys will not give him anything and it's becoming a civil matter you guys have attorneys on that right correct is he aware he's aware of the attorneys correct he got them involved first yeah they got their lawyers involved first okay so can I have your driver's license so I could do the trespass all right so yes this is a civil matter yeah it's I understand you guys we we have to come because he called we called oh you guys called and they're like they're already on the way like oh good yeah all right we're here yeah so okay so so you guys told him before you want him in the property how long ago was that um yesterday or the day before he was here yesterday no it was the a text message they were okay they're in a group chat with the attorneys and everything and they all right so quick um briefing on what happened he has a balance with him with them um and and they told him yes he got involved he got attorneys involved and they told him yesterday hey look we're going to tr we don't want you in the property so basically it's a civil matter uh they both of them both parties have lawyers and now he's the owner of the property and he wants to get him uh Tres cuz he already warned him and and he shows up after hours on a Friday yeah this is this is just off for show showed Up's guys to load the truck like s all righty all right so if you guys want to cuz I know it's hot go back inside and then I'll let you know to give you a sign pass uh paper so if he does ever show up when the officer shows up just be like his he's been uh trespassed and he's going to get arrested we're going to explain that to him okay returning to the e-commerce owner the office highlighted to him the situation and details involving the legal process okay so I guess you guys have lawyers involved you forgot to mention that I've had my Representatives contacting him he hasn't had he's what what what I'm led to believe is that um contractually he's a he is in a position where if I don't pay him by Monday then he this he uh gets to keep my inventory so the problem is he said that he brought his lawyer but he has not there's been no attorneys that have contacted myself or my attorney in California you're what I'm led to believe is this is a stalling mechanism for him to push this off until Monday when he's contractually obligated to surrender and and and take my inventory okay 136 so this is a civil matter now we did try to talk to him and hey look he's here he just wants to stuff he's willing to pay but he told me we're not going to give him anything cuz now there's attorneys involved there's I guess he has attorneys and you have attorney that's what he led me to believe okay so once the attorney it is a civil matter we can't force him to give you anything you have to go to court and you have to say hey look this is proof that I paid him this much and the contracts that I had until this day and he whatever the agreement was right we don't we can't decide on that and we can't tell him hey give him his stuff we can't we're not judge you're going to have to talk to your attorney and your attorney is going to have to handle that and then his attorney will come you said he doesn't have any attorney he said he did so he's not he said it's a civil matter which is true and he wants you to be trespassed from the property because he told you that you are no you can't come here but I have $1.2 Million worth of inventory here no I listen I understand like don't get me wrong country so pretty much we have what you're telling us we have what he's telling us we weren't we're not part of this agreement so we don't know sure we only know what you guys are telling us exactly all right we can't get involved in the Civil matter we can't force anybody just I'm trying to make him payment and he's refusing payment I can't make him take your money I can't make him give you anything we can't it's a civil matter we can't get involved in that stuff and there everything that you're trying to achieve here has to be done through court with your Attorneys at this point unfortunately did your attorney told you hey go over there and pay yes absolutely okay and then do you have that text message message maybe your attorney spoke to his attorney and they came to an agreement maybe he doesn't know he's not aware but from what what I understand is that he has an attorney and you have an attorney and now it's now it's attorney now you don't even have to come here to do anything it's your attorney talking to his attorney yes but do you have to understand this gentleman is holding up my multi-million dollar business I'm losing about three three to $8,000 bottom line every single day that it doesn't and that's that's stuff that is going to be brought up in court yes and if you win they're going to be responsible for but again that has to be settled in court exactly understood I'm going to dispatch my guy and I'll be out here okay I need your dive sense I'm sorry I don't have the uh do you have your name picture Jaden okay now will I get a report knock on their um business this is you could come here you know if you have business with maybe them or you can you just can't go to 8292 okay this is what about all the inventory that I have in so that's when the Civil matter comes in that's where your attorney comes in that's why you hire an attorney obviously right because they owe you inventory which you paid and you're trying to pay them they're just they're like no he has an attorney we're going to do this through the attorneys that's that's what he said so they do not want to take payment and we cannot force them to take payment right cuz we don't have the contract we weren't there when you signed it we don't know what you guys agreed on that's why you hire an attorney and if they don't have one they should all right so you can't um you can come here for one year what about when I collect my things well I will be getting my stuff out 100% will be eventually leaving with inventory there's $1.2 million correct So eventually I will have to come back that's what I'm getting so how does that work this is so you don't come in Uninvited okay but if the only reason we'll respond if if he calls and says hey he is here and he has a trespass warning he is not supposed to be here but I can stand right here yes you can cuz this is like when I do come back either way I'm going to come with you please I just want and the judge will how are you going to pick it up Mr Scott I'm going to take my trailer with my drug and I'm going to pick it up okay you are you have 24 hours to give him his property back you come with that order if you want us to come we'll come you know we work 247 and you let us you show us the court order and you're like hey look he's supposed to me my property this amount and they gave 24 hours it's been 24 hours so I'm here to pick it up then we knock he should be aware that he has to give it to him and then he'll give you the property but we cannot force him to give you the property without a court order okay this is how it this is this applies only if you come and you knock on that door now you're bothering them after he gave you a warning that we don't want you here all right we gave you he gave you a verbal warning or a written warning he texted you I don't I I don't know hey I don't I don't want you here don't come don't come to my business and now you came and now he's like look I told him not to come in a group chat and he's here so I want to trespass him okay so essentially he's just stealing my I got yeah you have to sign one for you one for and one for us Romeo julang Romeo Julet tangle here's yours let's go give a the officer then gives another copy of the warning to the vendor before wrapping up his investigation that's just your copy of the trespass warning thank you sir so again just to make sure that we're clear that doesn't mean that he can't come here this is open to the public he could even come here he could come here and knock on this business okay and you guys can call the police saying he's trespassed positive this parking lot does not belong to the actual that's that's the way unless that says your name or your business name is not yours it might on the leasee I don't I don't know from here yeah so he he could park your so like I said you have anney he has an attorney and we told him it was a civil matter so I guess you guys checks aren't acceptable for a payment no it's part of it's not it's not it's part of the contract now I do have a question regarding the uh the body Camp through the nature of everything going on here how can I submit and public record reest you have to go to the City Hall City Hall they'll have a form for you just fill out the form with the case number it's right here case number that's the case number and they they'll have that okay so the uh it's not d right the it D City Hall yeah okay find that yeah if you want the report the report will be bu in 7 to 10 business days okay so don't count Saturday Sundays holidays or anything like that but it's it's basically going to say that we told you guys both parties it's a civil matter gave them a trespass warning cuz the owner asked for the king of the world after being booted out of the bar for trespassing on April 4th 2024 Law Enforcement Officers responded to a trespassing incident at a local establishment upon arrival they encountered a male individual who was acting defiant upon notifying of trespassing I need I need I see your ID sir why not you want to issue your trespass warning so so they want to issue trest warning from that from that no I'm just telling you yeah I'm going to issue TR M from that bar why that because the manager said so I don't care for what I do I care that's you know who the I am who who are you none of your goddamn business go do your job and need oh yeah thank you all right second I already knew it how you doing yeah yeah how are you doing good I'm doing good here's my the got that that's right I'm not on their property on their prop you was on no now the man continued to escalate the situation and the officers were forced to take decisive action against his behavior on the parking lot I've been on the parking lot when we came you were so you going to identify yourself we're going to go to jail I don't give either way I don't give a turn turn around stop stop stop stop turn you're going to lose you're going to lose don't you take you going to do yeah obstruction right obstruction hand cop matter manager you guys G from his all right he was entertaining me all day doesn't matter I suggest both of you listen the manager wants you guys gone from this property I suggest you guys leave okay I got you I got thank you now and I've seen you before and you are good
