But this tried to attack you. I want you to take those people. She punched me the worst. Calm down. Look at me. All right. Listen. Why did I get And now we're not going to play pyramid games. We're not going to play 33 games. Don't touch me, bro. Hey. Hey. Did I say did not say don't touch me? Don't. Did I not say don't touch me? Did I not just say that? Stop that. I'm not coming. Ma'am, stop. Don't bite me. Meet Laura and her friend, two women who boldly claimed they owned the beach. Their entitled attitude quickly turned into aggression when a group returning from a boat trip reported being attacked by them. Look at me. Hey, they're not here. She punched me in the face. I want that arrested. I want to press charges. It all started on July 20th, 2024 when police were dispatched to investigate a possible assault in Charlotte County. This is the other half involved. Yes. Okay. And I absolutely need a report. Okay. Hey, I need you to call Rob. We got attacked and we came back on the boat. My work phone's in the bottom of the inter coast. Okay. Who's all involved in this? I I'm going to talk to the guys involved in this. Please let actually passively everybody in one way or another. I'm about to talk to the officers. widespread scene, a little psychotic gal that decided she was going to blow up as we were disembarking the boat and started yelling and started physically in pushing me. It just escalated from there. I had to pull her off at him. It was it was the craziest thing I've ever seen. He's got a long history here of being drunk. I mean, I didn't so I didn't like the guy or anything like that, but the dude was being very aggressive. I pulled him off my son-in-law. Where's your son-in-law? Call him after I'm done with the officers. Right there. Future son-in-law. They're getting married in a few weeks. But um but yeah, she physically attacked him and he just defended himself. Who was the first person that he attacked? She actually All right, let me go. Let me let me go cuz I got to talk to I think she took your phone first. Okay, I'm going to take one story at a time. I'm going to have you go stand over there for me. Okay. Right. I just came in. Can we have the go sit in the car comfortably? Yeah, that's fine. So, we go sit in the car, baby girl. They didn't want to hurt us. That's fine. I'm going to have you two separate. Actually, I'm going to have you go stand right by the Jeep over there, and I'm going to have you just hang right over there. Okay. I'm going to talk to you separately. Okay. Thank you, sir. I'm going to talk to everybody. Okay, boss. Overweight. Officer overweight. Awesome. Thank you. Yep. And we got to still figure out if I could gain some weight. I'll trade you. You want to trade? Yeah, right. Find that phone, baby girl. No, I got to find that phone. I can lose my job. Stop. I won't be able to take care of a single customer tomorrow. All right. So, give me a a run. A witness came forward recounting how the altercation escalated into violence when Laura attacked a mother, sparking a chaotic struggle involving several people. Okay. He's allowed to have guests. We were just all out on the boat spending the afternoon pass and coming back. As we came back, we took multiple trips cuz it was my brother and his kids. I mean, it was a large family out on the boat. So, we had two different people driving dingies because, you know, you can only put so many people on the boat at a time. We get to the ladder and she's got a boat with no engine, but it has no engine. It wasn't there when we left, but it's now tied there. We came back. So, we just, you know, when you go to a ladder and the boat's there, you just kind of slide it over a little so you can climb up the ladder and out the She came over and started blowing up about how this is her house and we're in our her house and get the out. Don't touch her boat. And we're like, we're not trying to touch your boat. We're just climbing up the ladder. Like, you know, again, you know, normal. I've never experienced something like this. Normally, it's very just cut and dry. Like, you're parked at the ladder. We slid you over a little. Okay. She starts flipping out. I pulled out my phone to record her because I'm like, I've never seen someone flip like this. If we do end up having to call law enforcement, I I wanted some kind of, you know, proof. And, you know, my fiance is very protective, but he tries to stay out of things, but he does have a legal past. It's all way in the past. But I was like, I want to make sure that if something goes down, we're good, cuz this is not what we deal with. She then started attacking my mother and started shoving my mother and punching her in the stomach. How was she at that point? So, we got to the point where you guys started. So, I'm recording her. This is my mother. Okay. So, I'm recording her and I'm going to approach you, but I'm not, you know. So, I'm recording her and she comes up and she starts screaming at me. Five steps back. Okay. So, she starts screaming at me like right there. And I'm going like this. I do have a phone here going like this. My mom starts coming up. I'm like, just stay out of it. She starts ripping towards my hand for the phone. And at that point, my mom came to get the phone from me and get back. She leapt like I don't know how to explain it cuz it was so fast, but literally like kind of like football leapt on my mother. They went down to the ground. She starts punching my mom. At that point, my fiance and my father get involved to start pulling her off of my mother. At that point, the the guy that she is with starts coming in and throwing fists at everybody. So, we then separate. She's now up just screaming, no longer in the physical altercation. My dad and fiance pinned him enough to just get control, get my mother out of the way. I helped her up. And then once they got him out of control, like they cuz my dad used to wrestle, so I put him in some kind of move that just got him to chill for a second. I got you. Then he said, "I'm going to let you go, but you know, don't get back up at me." He got up, screamed at me, walking off and started walking away. Okay. And that's when I made the second 911 call because I was able to grab my boyfriend's phone and do so. Okay. And you were Were you actively trying to call 911 on your work phone? No, I I I didn't I I never at that point expected it to actually be physical. I was literally just recording. So there'd be if she tried to accuse us of something, there'd be proof that nothing happened. I never expected it would become physical. I was more thinking along the lines of someone being like, "Oh, they tried to do this or tried to say this." And to be like, "Curly, we didn't." Okay. Um, so it was just like that. I It turns physical so fast and I never in a million years thought it would be physical. Is there any reason why she'd go after your mother and not you? I don't know. Um, I know mom kept telling her to stay away from her daughter. I kept telling mom to stay back. They were yelling. I'm more of a You were kind of in the middle of them. I was kind of in the middle and I don't react that same way. Again, I work in business settings and in sales and I just I got you. I don't have that personality. So, they were screaming at each other and I don't raise my voice so there was no yelling. No. Okay. Um, and as far as the phone goes, uh, about pressing charges, um, do you want to press charges? Okay. Yeah, it's it's a company phone. I don't have an option. Okay. Do you want to provide me with a swarm statement after I get a kind of what's going on with physical? As the police approached Laura, she was frantic, breathing heavily, and insisted she didn't need EMS. She claimed the other party stole her money, but made inconsistent statements. Give her a man. She's I live here. These people were trying to I got to my house. What's your name? Laura. Let's go over here and talk. Okay. Please. Come on. Yeah. Let's go over here. What's going on? I've worked there for 6 years. Okay, cool. Let's start from when you came home. Okay. I already knew that there was problems because Dave is a methhead. His name is Dave Monday. Who's Dave? Dave Monday. He's not there. He He won't show his face cuz he's a methhead. The girl with the I think she has like a red purse. She punched me in the face and I had no idea what to do. I tried to get back to Shane. This other girl with the red right there. You see that? The red right there in the like booty shorts, whatever you want to call. She started punching me in the face again. I did nothing. This is my house. Why would you? Mom, auntie, stay. Stay over there. Okay, Mom. I'm trying. Do you know how nervous I am? Why would someone just punch you in the face? Cuz they don't like me. Dave is a crackhead. As Laura grew erratic and emotional, the officers advised her to calm down before taking her statement. They then spoke with a man whose statement raised more doubts and made the situation even more complicated. That's my job. I work at the White Elephant. I've worked there for 6 years. This is trying to play me. This with the red right there. Right there. Hit me. She touched me. Charges pressed. The other one with the Hey, stop. Stop. I can't do until you calm down. It doesn't make sense to me. mind back a cigarette, a water cig, he was floating while the situation happened. Excuse me. And he was probably before he was there. Who's the witness? I'll call him. I don't know how you guys get her to calm down. But it's hard for me to get her story and figure out who did what to who if I can't get her side of the story. If she was if she's the victim here, I will absolutely press charges on anybody. 100%. However, I told her you can't figure anything out if she's not going to calm down. I think she's the one. All right. Calm down. I don't know. I think the female deputy call I don't know. Clear up everything. Hopefully he'll come in. Thank you. Lexi, does she need EMS? Give me your supervisor. Supervisor. What am I doing? She keeps acting like she's going in handcuffs. Stop yelling. Laura, I'm telling you right now, if you do not go over there and calm down, we're going to put you in handcuffs. We're going to put you in handcuffs and take you to jail for obstruction. Okay. But I want to supervise. Do me a favor. We'll get you Do me a favor. Go over there and sit down. What did What did she tell you? Lexi, does she need EMS? Why'd you call EMS? She said she needed it for her elbow and her hand. Is she hurt? She's so She's so I don't think she I think there's no app. And then all of a sudden somebody's going to shoot her in the face. Because I can't get much else from her. She's not being cooped. So the woman over there uh in the black shirt, she gave me a little bit of just a what's officers found Laura intoxicated and belligerent. She kept yelling, accusing others, and refused to give a clear account of the events. Everyone else is giving her their story. She's obviously drunk. She's requesting to speak to a supervisor. She thinks we're not bleeding. Yeah, someone got hit. She's bleeding. Her her neck was hurting. Who got hit? She said she got hit. And then it was by a woman over there. They're still talking to them. And then I guess they said she threw her phone in the water. But again, she's not saying anything. She won't give her story at all. She's saying they randomly just started punching her because Dave's in my head. Okay. All right. What can I do for you? How are you? My whole family's cops. I'm so sorry to do this to you, but this is my property. I p I paid for this slip. I had two people attack me because of a cracket. Dave Monday is their friend. But they attacked me. Okay. Okay. Out of nowhere, they just attacked you for no reason whatsoever. Dave has problems with me. He's about to lose his slip right here. He He lives out on the anchors off their leash. This is my property. I want them I I want to press charges. You live here. It's not your property. Yes. Exactly. I'm sorry to say it the wrong way, but yes, I want to press charges on her. She punched me in the face. If you guys mutually punched each other and you're pursuing No. No. Never. So, you never once lay a hand. No, I promise you. I promise you. I have my whole family in law enforcement. That's my family right there. Firefighters, police department, everything. It's not his property. Everything. I want her pressed charges. She punched me in the face for no reason. Great lawsuit. No problem. No, no. Do it. Do it. She hit me. They hit me. Hey, Laura. After being warned multiple times, Laura escalated the situation, forcing officers to use strict methods to restrain her. They then apprehended the man and took both of them into custody. Calm down. But they hat. Come here. Calm down. Listen. Let's go over to your car. Come here. Can I talk to you? Yeah, we're going to talk. Nobody's listening to me. Okay. I'm so sorry that it like happened. Okay, very good. Yes, I understand. Um, my my only issue is uh we have a hook in the boat. I just don't want to miss him. The female was charged with three counts of battery, theft, disorderly intoxication, and resisting arrest. The male was charged with disorderly intoxication, and battery. Next, this mom, arguably the worst mother ever, is carried out of the store in handcuffs in front of her own daughter. All because she thought stealing was a good idea. I don't have anything. That's why I just told him, "Can I get mine?" He said, "Oh, you're stealing. I haven't stole anything out out of here. I haven't walked out with anything." Okay, hold on. Just I don't know what's in your purse. On March 23rd, 2024, police were dispatched to a store in Lombard after receiving a report about a mother who stole with her child. When the cops confronted the mother, she stubbornly denied stealing anything, engaging in a heated argument with the officers. Stop kicking stuff. [Applause] See, she's cooperative or not cooperative. She was cooperative. You're under sit. Have a seat right there before. Okay. But we're not going to walk out the office. I'm not walking out. See, look. My arm. How can I calm my baby down with one arm? So, we dealt with a lot. Calm my daughter down. Yes, we've done a lot of things. My arm. Okay. Calm down. Okay. Did you walk out? I didn't never walk out the store cuz I'm being stopped before. I never walk out the store. Okay. We'll figure it out because I never walked out the store. She said a girl walked out so you don't mix me with another girl cuz I didn't walk out. Listen, I'm trying. I just got here. Okay. That's what I'm telling you. saying a girl walked out. So, I'm not the girl that walked out. I didn't even get to a door to walk out. So, how you saying that I walked out while I thought, but the girl in front of me walked out? Can I jump in? Listen, I think being excited is making everybody else excited, right? Which I'm I'm talking to you. I'm just trying to figure it out. Okay. Can I just Let's start with who you are. Do you have your ID? Is your ID in your purse? I don't have anything. That's I just told him. Can I get mine? He said, "Oh, you're stealing. I haven't stole anything out of here. I haven't walked out with anything." Okay, hold on. Just I don't know what's in your purse. You can look up. I don't have You think What's in here? Nothing. Nothing at all. A relationship and a charger. Okay. So aggressive because he he said a girl walked out. I did not walk. The man behind you. Okay. Listen. He said you're a friend. I don't have a friend. Me and my kids. So whoever walked out, that's who we should have grabbed. Don't tell me I walked out of anything. Okay. If we could take a breather here. I I'm fine. I don't need to say anything. All right. You have to. Can you talk Can you Can you talk to him and find out exactly what happened? Calm down. Calm down. Okay. What's your last name? I'm just asking. I'm not the enemy here. Okay. Okay. Well, I I don't I don't I didn't I don't care. He said a girl He said the girl in front of you stole. So, how do you stop me and not stop her? I didn't even walk to the door. That don't even make sense. I'm your best chance of getting out of this as fast and as smooth as possible. Okay. Well, I I have to go. Okay. What's your first name? How do you spell that? A I A. I can't write that fast. A a How old are you? I was born in 93. That's why I'm asking you because I don't we don't have an ID. So I have to know that's 30 who we are specifically. Listen, we have we're doing a police thing first. Uhoh. You can complain later. Let's just call my lawyer now. Okay. Well, let's do one thing at a time right now. What's the address on your ID? It's not I don't even have a state ID. My state ID expired. The address that's on there is 5. So you do have I had a ID because don't accuse me of anything. If he's going to say somebody behind you did the man behind you did. Okay. What's your I What's your the file number on your ID? What file number? What what number? Okay. Listen. I'm going to I'm being very polite. You have two kids here. Okay. What file number? I don't care about my kids. These are my kids. So what file number? Let me let me explain. This is very important to you. Okay. When you're done with the phone, this is this is critical. You have to know this. Miss I'm calling my lawyer. Okay. I know, but the law requires that you have it ready for presenting if we ask for it. That makes sense. This one's going to be a little bit of a That's okay. I'll give you a second to look for it. I'm going to call Freedom Boat Club. Okay. Cuz they're the ones who educated me. You don't have it available on your phone? No, I do, but they're the ones who emailed it to me, you know. Okay. But by calling them, what's that going to do for you? Tell me where to look for it. They know where it's at on your phone. Let's see. Well, to be a member with them, I had to do the voters. Okay. Is it through the state of Florida or is there I'm not sure. There's many different businesses out there that offer the the court. The officer explains to the captain that he needs to perform some tests to ensure he's fit to operate the boat. But the captain expresses his displeasure with the situation. The I just took my final final last final of my Let's try to find the fire extinguisher. in this one. There's nothing in here. Can you try that one? Yeah, there's nothing in this one either. Maybe under Kim, but I doubt it. If we um I'll try that one. Let me swing this back down. [Music] Maybe in the Or there's a battery compartment in our back. It's right here. We're not 100% with the boat. Yeah, no worries. Would you like to board to see? No, if you can just pop it out for me, captain, so I can take a look at it. Kim, I can do it cuz I'm the captain. This is my brother being myself. The captain requests to call his lawyer to avoid the situation, but the officer gives him a chance to comply without consequence or face potential arrest. You be willing to step over to my uh boat. We'll perform standard field attaches to make sure that you're safe to operate. If you are, I'll have you on your way. That's kind of a trick question. No trick question. It's as simple as that. Do you have a choice? I I know. Simple question, sir. Water. Can you guys tell us back to Freedom Bo? We are definitely doing that right now. Look, you see that? Yeah. We have a long ways to go. Jerry's dock sign. So, I'm asking you again one last time. Are you willing to step over to perform field sobriety task to make sure that you're safe to operate? If you don't, then I have to base an arrest decision on what I observed today so far, which is uh so a simple just a simple question. I come from a family of lawyers. So, I'm feeling like I'm not trying to ent trap you. I feel trapped. Honestly, I'm asking you just a simple question, sir. I promise you, I am totally capable of pro taking this boat right back. But without a lawyer present, I feel somewhat subjugated to step onto your boat and surrender your rights. You're not surrendering any rights. I but I am sir. No sir. So when you operate a vessel in the state of Florida, there's a thing called implied consent. Am I correct, Officer Wilkins? What's that? Implight consent. Yeah. I'm just trying to make sure I'm not getting taken advantage of. You're not getting taken advantage of, sir. I'm literally asking you if you step over once I step on your boat. Perform standard field sobriety tasks. If I see if I see no signs of impairment from the the or indicator suggest impairment, then I I send you on your way. And if I refuse it, then what happens? Then I have to make a decision based on my observations. Up to this point, when it goes on paper, what does that mean? I don't understand what you mean when it goes on paper, sir. Well, what if uh someone else were to take over and get us to the office? That doesn't fix the point at this point because we are at where we're at right now. You were the person that was observed operating the vessel because I come from a family of lawyers. Okay. So, this is the last time I'm at always tell me to listen this say to ask for them. I should call them for their right now. Right now, I'm asking you this is the last time. If you choose not to, then I'm you will be placed under arrest for boating while normal faculties impaired. I don't have anything to hide. I'm asking you. This is your last time. So, are you coming over or not? What is the sobriety test consistent? I guess you have to do the soriety test. You don't have to. It's your choice. But does it put me in a worse spot than No, I mean just arrest. Listen, I have Let me tell you this. You said you're going to arrest me if I don't. I have to make an arrest decision based on the observations that I've seen. An arrest. I gotta call somebody. I'm just telling. Are you coming over or not, sir? No, I'm gonna call. All right. Then you are placed under arrest. Go ahead. Put your phone down. Grab your Stop. Grab your life jacket out of your out of here. Put the life jacket on for me. And then you're coming over here. I need to call my father. Grab your Grab the life jacket out of the boat. Put it on. Put your life jacket on. You're coming over. You have to put it on me. What are you doing? Okay, sorry. I'll put it on. Your life jack is right in here. Arresting and arresting. You're arresting a driver of a boat. The captain agrees to step onto the officer's boat for the field sobriety test. But when the officer asks him to put on a life jacket before boarding, the captain suddenly changes his mind. Do a field sobriety test right now. Is he Is he going to do it? Yeah. No. Are you doing it or not? Then I'll do it. Okay. Keep the life jacket on cuz you need to wear a life jacket if you're going to step across. It's kind of inhibiting. Right. So, you got to you got to put this on all go back down there so you're not up high. His choice whether to do it or not, right? Excuse me, sir. What does the field sobriety test consist of? It's standardized tasks. standardized in regulation to road sobriety tests. There is a a waterborne version as well. There is a waterborne version of a field sobriety test that is similar or not to the road sobriety. Are you coming over? You have to answer the question. I don't have to answer this. I don't have to answer this lady's question. I've I've asked I've given you the opportunity right now same as a roadbriating operation field sobriety test consist you'll have to do a bunch of different hand eye coordination tasks oh like the pen thing so me personally I've had a DUI in the past so I kind of understand he obviously hasn't so no I know I know I know I know he's not but I I know what the real quote quote unquote Well, no, I know. I know. I know. But like, so it's your op it's your choice. Is this like the pen thingy that you guys do? I will be checking his eyes and like the the stand on one foot. We don't stand on one foot on a boat. I mean, we are in a boat, so I know it's a little different. So, I'm just trying to regulate. I'm just scared. No, your dad said he's calling your lawyer right now. He'll call you back in 2 seconds. I don't know if you want to wait 2 seconds or Yeah, he'll call you back. Just take us towards Jerry Doide, please. You want me to call? They got us on spot locked right now. I'll call Austin. Sir, I don't have I don't have the time and patience to be standing here waiting for somebody to else to call back. I've given you the options. Probleming you with everything that I had to have on a boat to operate it. Are you willing to come over or not right now? Partially. I need 100% I'm willing to come over or you're not willing to come over. But until you have it. Okay, then. What's the reason? No, you're not. We're not playing this game of, "Oh, I'm going to come." Oh, I'm not going to come. Can we just wait for the I'm not waiting anymore, sir. I've given you plenty of time. I don't have anything to hide. So, okay. Then, if you don't have anything to hide, I should. It's your call. You want to come over then? I'm telling you, if I do not see signs of impairment, it's not an entrapment. If I do not see signs of impairment during all of your tasks of bright, what's up? Yes. Yeah. Maybe. Let's go, sir. Come on, sir. Hey, let's go. Come on. Okay. I mean, it's my dad, dude. Yeah. I'm just If you want to I've been completely patient with you. You really have and I really appreciate it. I know. Well, I have my boating license and so does JT. So, I mean, we're not really we're talking about voting licenses ticket for. The captain makes several calls to his lawyer, convinced the lawyer can get him out of this mess. But soon enough, he finds himself under arrest. Stand here and keep playing this game. I've already given you plenty of opportunities with us. On speaker, including the sheriff's department. Okay. Okay. Speaker in 3 2 1 speaker. Daddyo. Yep. I'm here, your own speaker with uh the sheriff here. I was uh causing awakening area that honestly I wasn't familiar with and he pulled me over and we went through the uh the boating certifications. I had all of it. We went through the life jackets, the firework signatures, all here. And he wants me to do a field surprise test. If I deny it, he's putting me under arrest. If I do it, I feel like he's going to get me. Still under arrest. Yes. So, it's the same thing. Push. Especially on the water while rocking. I will take the arrest rather than the hang up the phone, sir. I'm not hanging up. All right. All right, we'll put the phone down then. Larson's got my back on that. I mean, it sounds like trouble either way, but uh that's what he recommended. All right. Well, no trust and just take whatever the officer suggests because at the end of the day, so I gave you the option. You can come over, do standard field sobriety test, or if you don't, then I have to make a decision on whether or not to arrest you based on my current observations. Based on my field sobriety test though, you will be able to arrest me in the case of But what is the current observation? Go ahead and step over for me. Guys, watch your step as you come across. Back to the Jerry. Want to make sure. Come on back here for me. Don't worry. You're on video. All right. Go ahead and turn around for me. Yes, please turn around for me, sir. You a You ain't never going to be nobody. Who? All right, here we go. The man was charged with loitering and obstruction of law enforcement. Now, this teen faces a felony charge for being lazy with a stolen golf cart. She thought she was in the clear until the cops showed up to teach her a lesson she won't forget. We're not It's not a criminal mischief thing. Well, no, I know, but I'm just saying as regards to like my money is that that guy's going to charge me and run me the up. Like, I didn't I didn't damage But I didn't damage his golf cart. On September 15th, 2022, officers were called to investigate a stolen golf cart. When they found it, they uncovered a set of keys and a student ID card inside. Clues that pointed to more than just a simple theft. When the cops arrived, they spoke to the suspect's roommate, asking about her whereabouts. The roommate then called the suspect to tell her the police had her keys and ID. You're good. I'll start off with the police department. I'm sorry. I was I was just in my room. No worries. Um, what's your name? My name is Megan. Megan, how are you? I'm good. Good. Um, we found keys to I believe someone who lives here in Nema. Yeah, she she's not home right now. Um, but I can text her. Um, I know she said that she left them in the bathroom at Gringo. Uh, we were going to go back down and get them at some point. All right. Um, can we come try her door then? Uh, yeah. Um, I mean it's open. Like she's not here. Like I know she's not here. Do you mind if we go look? I mean, you're not in any trouble, though. I'm not sure. I I I don't I I don't know what she would want me to do. I'm I'm sorry. Like, can you please go get her and have her come at the door? Yeah. Yeah. I'll pass through. Like, she's not here. Yeah. Listen, do I need to leave the door open? We're trying not to get you in trouble. Yeah. She's in the room. No, she's not in the room. So, the cameras that saw you guys coming up the elevator together? Yeah, she went somewhere else, though. So, where is she at? Um, I'm I don't know what room she's in. I think she's in 710. Can you call her? Yeah. Do I need to leave the door open or can I Please, that'd be great. I don't want to accuse you of being a liar, but I just want to make sure you're telling me the truth before this goes any further. Yeah. Let me let me see if I can call my other roommate first and see if she'll answer. Okay. Who's in 710 that she would go see? Friend, boyfriend. There's a couple of guys in that room and they just hang out there. Hey, um is Nina with you? Yes. Um where are you guys? There are there are cops here that say they found Nah's ID. What? Yeah, you're on speaker. They're right here. What? There are cops here. They say they found Nah's keys and ID. Where are they? They're at our door. Yeah, they're right here. You They can hear you. Oh, okay. Um, do do they need Nina to come? Yeah, Nina needs to come over here. Okay, I'll get her. Okay. I tried to call her. She didn't answer. Okay, I'll be right there. Okay. Bye. Thank you. All right. If we have any other questions, we'll be back. Okay. Are you going to be up for a little bit? Yeah. Okay. You don't have to leave your door open. Okay. I think we'll The suspect arrives and denies the keys are hers. The officers continue questioning her about the golf cart, confirming her involvement, but she admits she took it out of laziness. Hello. How are you? Good. How are you? I'm great. I think you have some keys that belong to you. These? Those aren't yours, are they? No, these are they are room keys. Who's my neighbors? You can hear them here. Hang on. No, you're fine. We don't need to hear them. Well, I need mine anyways. I left it. The keys are right here with us. No, my You'll see it. All right. Other keys. Come over here and talk to us for a second. Can I? No, not right this second. Come over here and talk to us. Cuz we have some questions to ask you. What? About the golf cart you were in. Okay. What's up? So, would you rather talk in your room or in the hallway or where would you like to talk? Okay. I'm just saying that way you're not around people and we can't do it in private. That's what we're trying to get at. So, if you don't want to be in the hallway, you want to be somewhere we can talk. That's fine. They're going to come out regardless. So, where your keys? They're pink. They should be on the table. No. If you want to get them, you can get them. I don't want to get my keys. Keys or those? You got These are his. Okay. Ryan Mills. I'm not driving a car anywhere. I was just using it to get back into the building. Okay. So, um that's me. That's my case. Okay. All right. So, obviously we have a few questions, but I just have to before we ask anyone any kind of questions, we have to read them every time. So, you have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in court. You have the right to an attorney present now or at any time during questioning. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you without cost. Do you understand each of these rights? Yes, I do. Okay. Would you like to speak with us? Yeah, I'll say whatever I feel. I've already I I mean, I I'll say whatever I feel is fit. I' I've already spoken to you guys before you read my rights, so it's What do you mean it's really I mean, he's already he's already had some stuff to say to me before he read my rights. So, we can talk. It's not asking question. Yeah. I just don't I don't have any questions. Um um okay. So you said those keys are just his, right? Yeah. Do you have any other keys on you? House keys? No, those are my only other keys. I have a UCF ID in my bra. You I have your UCF. Then you have my UCF then even better than I do. Okay. So what what happened with the golf club today out front? Yeah. Wow. I'm going to be dead. We'd appreciate that. No. Well, I figured I figured you were funny. I regard this. Um, it was just me. Like, I was literally like by myself. Like, if you looked up the cameras, like you could see I was alone as it's kind of embarrassing, but um I just wanted to get gringoes and I was being lazy as and there were no scooters on this side of campus and when I opened the lift app, I was like, you were going to take a lift from here to Gringo? I was going to say, well, no, they have the the the scooters. Like, the suspect tries to downplay the situation, claiming she didn't damage the golf cart and only borrowed it temporarily. The officers inform her that the maintenance worker wants to press charges and then they take her into custody. You just stole somebody's golf cart. Okay. Like, like I Okay, who like literally who the maintenance man? Okay. Facilities worker. And it's back now. Well, no. It's still at Greeningo because you had the keys. But it doesn't matter. You still stolen. Hey, I don't know. I like We're not making this up, you know. No, I No, I figured you guys on camera. Yeah. No. Yeah, I know. Not just here. Everywhere. No, I'm I'm I'm very aware. The thing is it's not our golf cart, right? So, it's not really up to us what happens. Exactly. The facility worker uh said he wanted to press charges. Okay. Because it's his golf cart. Okay. So, yeah. Was there any sort of destruction to it? It's not not that we're aware of. We're not It's not a criminal mischief thing. Well, no, I know. But I'm just saying as regards to like my money is that that guy's going to charge me and run me the up. Like I didn't I didn't damage his But I didn't damage his golf cart. It works. What do you mean though? He's not coming after your money. No. Charging. Not like money. Charging as in like a crime. As in like charges. Yes. No, I'm No, I know. that works. Yeah. But um yeah, like realistically any charges against me, I'm I'm going to end up paying for. That's money. Like it's not like it's it's money. It is. It's not. But you're the one Nobody told you to go and someone else's property without saying that. I don't know. But you're almost sounding like it's like, you know, somebody else's fault that this happened or that you're in this situation. I'm pretty sure that I took full responsibility. Yeah, but you're acting a different way right now. I I'm struggling to understand how I'm acting a different way. Anyways, either way, you're right. You admitted that you took the golf cart. However, that's not your property, right? You didn't have permission to take it, I'm assuming. And the theft is temporary or permanent deprivation of property. and the maintenance coordinator or worker said he wants to press charges because that was his property that was temporarily deprived. And when would he have received the keys back? I don't know honestly. Realistically, it's whenever he left his keys in his golf cart out front of tower 2. And I, as stated before, you guys both already said this, so it's unrealistic to repeat it, but I will anyways. is I didn't have to tell you that I was the one who Yes. sat down, started the car, all this. Yeah. No, I know because you have you have cameras. Like, I'm not I'm just curious when he would have gotten his kids back. So, he should have never gotten his property back as much. No, I would have. All right. Whatever. Yeah, sure. But like what? No. Yeah. I'm stealing a whole golf cart from my university. I was never going to give it back. I was never going to give the keys back. Like what? Like how how would that have worked out for me? Please. Can we do this easy way? Oh my god, bro. You got meed up. You got me actuallyed up.
