Maria expressed fear for herself and her child because of her husband. When another officer arrived to question her, they noticed inconsistencies in her story. Right. And when you left, you hit the elbow or what? No, he say that I need to leave. He take a lie like this. Get out of living room. Get down and lock a door. Okay. Unlock the door and say like I'm I'm not I'm not okay. All right. Okay. I understand. I wonder if he going in the jail. He can't stay with me. Okay. Do you have somewhere you can go? I can't say kids. Huh? I can't say kids with him. He danger. I'm already to call a Russian embassy because he danger. Why don't you leave? Because I haven't got nothing. When you say he's dangerous, has he hit you before? Yes. How? I don't want to show you. Okay. You have to you have to give me something. Okay. He take me like this and put out of house and block block the house. That was today. Yes. What about other times? Other time like if I'm in the way, he be doing like this all time doing like this. Okay. What's your name? Maria. Maria? Can I call you Maria? What happened? Nothing. I'm scared to stay with him. Okay. And why is that? H Why is that? Why? That he put me down and lock a lock a house with two babies inside. Okay. What made him do that? What made him? Maybe because I'm around him. Okay. He hate me. He hates you. He hate me. Oh, you Okay. Did Did he ever hit you or No. Yes, he is. Where did he hit you? Yeah. Wait, do you have something under that or No, you have clothes under that. Yes. Where? Right here. And you're right on your elbow, huh? Where else? I can show you more photo from my phone. Okay. Okay. Well, I'm talking about right now, not before. Right now, he he pick up me like this and get out of a house. So, he grabbed you by your neck. Can I see? Can I see? Can you turn around? Sure. Sure. But he grabbed me over clothes and take out of a house by your neck and lock and and lock and lock a house that I can't go inside. Maria, have you been drinking today? I I I drink one beer. Okay. All right. And are those your babies, too? Are you're the You're the mommy, biological mommy. All right. So, Maria, how did the did did uh Brennan there get food all over his head? And how does he have a bunch of red marks around his shoulders, neck, and the back of his head? Can you show me? Because I'm not doing it. I'm I'm telling you that's what I saw. Maybe a kid's doing it. The kids the your daughter that's that big put food or hit him with food on top of that big man. It's a It's a case. Okay. Meanwhile, the cops read Maria her Miranda rights outlining the legal implications. Though she struggled to grasp the details, it was clear she had been in this situation before. Okay, I'm going to read you. You know what this is? Miranda warnings. You know what that is? I'm going to ask you some self-inccriminating questions. I don't want you to feel you have to answer without a lawyer Perez. You understand that we have a better understanding of what's going on here, right? You understand? What do you not understand? I'm not understand what what mean. Okay. Do you speak English? Anyway, 5050. Well, how about this? I'm going to read this to you and if you understand it, you say yes. And if you don't, you say no. Please repeat. Okay. So before we ask you any questions, you must understand your rights. You understand that? Mhm. Okay. You know what rights are? Rights. US citizen rights. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. You understand that? You have the right to to be quiet. Okay. Anything you say pend against you in court. You have the right to talk to a lawyer for advice before you ask you any questions. You have a right to have a lawyer with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed before you during questioning if you wish. If you decide to answer now without a lawyer present, you you have the right to stop answering at any time. That means if you do not want to talk to me no more, you say no more. Okay? Do you understand each of these rights I've explained? Do you understand everything I said? A little bit. Yes. Little bit. What do you not understand? I'm not understand a couple words. Okay, which ones? Can I Can I have one? Sure. Remain remain silent. That means that means you could go. Look, look, you don't have to talk if you don't want to. Okay, good. You understand? Do you mind if we talk? Okay. So, have you been arrested before for domestic battery? Yes. Against Brendan? Yes. He against me. What happened? Uh he said that I'm dangerous for him. When did that happen? 15th of December. This past December. Mhm. Okay. And but what happened? Did you hit him? He hit you or what? No, nothing. It was just it just fight. Just fight. Okay. So, you guys are married, right? How long you been married? Three years. Three years. And those and both of you that's mommy and daddy to the two babies. Okay. And you live here? Okay. Do you pay bills here? I'm sorry. I'm a stay-at-home uh mom because he Okay. He he uh because the problem is that he can't afford to pay for daycare. So I'm stay home. Okay. How about this? Do you do you get mail here? Like mail mailbox you do with your name? Okay. Yeah. Also, I give for him a 20 grand to buy this house. Wow. I wish I had someone give me 20 grand, buy a house. Yeah. And now he said that I'm not. Okay. But it's how he got this house. All right. So, Maria, this is what Brennan told me. Okay. Did Did you make the house messy yesterday? The cops questioned Maria based on her husband's report, but she denied all the accusations and tried to justify her actions to drink and make the house. Listen, you have two small kids. They all time something drawing. So your two small kids flipped the table over? No. And and threw a bunch of stuff. No, they sometimes make make a mess. I know. But did But did they flip a table over? No. So you did that? No. I put it up because the kids going on on top on it. That's why I put it like this. You not understand? Okay. No, I do. But I just don't understand why you would do that. And then how about how did everything how did how did all the couches small kids can be danger to small kids to go on the top of a table. You understand it? So why don't you put all why don't you put all the chairs down and everything else down. Why that table? Because Brandon said that we need to a table. Okay. So you went and you made a I understand your point. I understand that I'm and I'm listening. But you went and you destroyed the inside of the house yesterday. You showed me pictures because you were drunk. Okay. And then last night you got into an argument about it which carried on to this morning. And this morning and last night he cleaned everything up which is how the house is now. You guys were arguing. Did he bring McDonald's for breakfast for you guys? No. Oh no. For yourself maybe. For yourself. Okay. And then you guys were arguing. You picked up the the burrito he was eating and you hit him in the head because even when I was there talking to him, he still had egg pieces in his head. Okay. There's no way your little girl was able to go and lounge eggs or burritos on top of his head. All right. And then he started saying you started you went you went outside, you closed the door on you, you busted the door. Hold on. Stop. There's a bunch of handprints claw mark we'll call we'll call it hand dragged on on the window from you trying to get in. And once he let you in, you started beating him. He has big He has he has fist imprints right here, right here, right here, on the back of his neck, and there. How' that get How'd that happen? Can Can I Can I get my phone and show you what's How did Did that I'm talking about today. How did that happen? Did you hit him? I I I I push him. You didn't punch him? No, I not. So, how did how how did he get all red right here in the back? How'd that happen? Ask him. I'm asking you cuz he told I did. He told me it was you. Look at myself. Look at myself right now. I know. I see. Can Can I Can I do it? Probably. Yes. Especially if you've done it before. This guy put me out of house, lock a house and say that I can't be around my kids. So that gives you right to go and start hitting them and throw burritos at them and then do that in front of your young daughter. Stop hurting them. Maria made an effort to shield her actions by claiming she was protecting the children. However, the cops took legal steps against her, aware of her true intentions around a buras and not hit him. So, how did it go? Cuz there's no way you it just went and opened up on top of his head unless you you hit him with it. And like you said, um I would go I wasn't here for it, but however, he has injuries consistent to what he's saying. He told me you punched him. He literally there's I guarantee if I grab your fist and I go like this and I put it against his skin with the redness that's there, it's going to be pretty much very close in size and it's very consistent to what he said. You punched him in the arm, punch him in the chest and in the back of the head where he has a big fist imprint right here and another one right there. All right. So, what do you have to say about that? So, you're telling him he you that you went and you sprinkled the burrito on his head and you pushed him and that was it? I put a burrito on his head. He pick up me on the back. Go out like Was that was that after you hit him? No. When was that? It's be It's happening. Okay. Well, turn around. Put your hands behind your back. You're going to judge enough for domestic battery. So, give me your hand. Thank you. You little cozy cozy. You understand why, right? You're the primary aggressor. You guys are married. You have kids in common. All right. I'm calling the government. Stop. I'm calling the government. Now, if you start pulling away, you're going to get another charge. Smells like alcoh that's a Jennifer beer. My My beers don't smell like that, dude. Maybe on a cruise. Maybe. But you're you're eating. You're eating. I did eat the pork. All right. Ready? No. Okay. No. Get out. All right. Get out of the car. Get out of the car. Get down on the ground. Get down on the ground. Get down on the ground. Grab the hobble from my door. What? Okay. Go grab the the hobble from the from the uh driver's side of the door. Please help me. Please please please no. Alan, can you come up to the door, please? Stop it. Please, please, please, please assistant hobbling her. Come to the car, please. Call the embassy. Arrest embassy against me. Go. 1125 116 closest to assist. 11:25 here. No, no, no. Please, no. No. And then hold it like that. I can't hear. Get in the car. Get on the other side. Maria, can you please stop? Yeah. Go like this. Lift it there. Let it down right there. And now go ahead and uh close the door slowly and come like this. So, it's not working. Mariah Howard was charged with battery, resisting an officer, and a misdemeanor. This ghetto woman fought over a simple wig, but what started as a petty dispute quickly escalated into a chaotic brawl that ultimately ended in jail time. On January 27th, 2024, Florida police witnessed a group of individuals involved in a heated argument and a physical confrontation. It ain't your wig. It ain't your wig. So, why you coming for me? You got to call the cops. Yes, you are. You need to go home. We need to go home. Why am I dressing because you want to go fighting? You was just pushing her. Don't talk to me. Don't Don't talk to me. Don't talk to me. Don't talk to me. Get your sister cuz she about to get me locked up. Make decisions. Go. You're going to go to zero. No. All right. No. I'm going to go. No, you're not. No, you're not. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Somebody bro. The police tried to assess the situation and prevent it from getting worse. Meanwhile, they checked on the suspect who was struggling to breathe. You know, you touched him from behind. You touched him from behind. That's the way the impressive come from. Don't take that woman to jail for you cuz you touch I know you want to be tough guy now man. You know how [ __ ] man she got kids all got if y'all take a step back. Let us help us figure it out. We can leak ass. But you see how this looks. It looks like y'all are coming and crowding us. If you step back, give us a second. Let us figure it out. I got you. Okay. I'll do my best. I'm calling right now. I got you. Just step back and we'll figure it out. I got you. Okay. I got you. I appreciate you. You have to resist. Yes. 100%. She was in your face about to hit you. Stop banging on my car. You're going to jail. You're done. We had We had to She was doing too much. Get out. Just get her out of here. We got you. What? I got asked. I just need my inhaler. Where is it? Where's your car over there? Which car is it? You got Where's your keys? It's a four plus. My cousin has the keys. Who's your cousin? Right there with the um with the hat. No, over there with that black shirt on with the ponytail. Hey, are you ready? Are you her cousin? Uh, she needs her inhaler from her car. One of y'all got her keys. She need her inhaler. Inhaler is in her car. She um ain't no inhaler in him. She have her keys. Hurry up. I don't have her keys in his purse. Yes, she does. Open it up. Family, man. They were trying to break it up. They trying to break each other up. Trying to stop for him for him to grab her from behind while she was over there. Who he really was. That's what make him do what he's doing. That's the mistake. You understand what I'm saying? Yeah. But that's his mistake and her mistake. Man, you work with them. Not really. You got to understand we're respond. Somebody calls us and say we're responding to a fight. I don't know who's fighting. All I know is somebody's hurting somebody. I got to separate. You know what I'm saying? So if they oppress if they talking to each other then somebody you from behind. I ain't nothing about it. I know what you're saying. I know what you're saying. But that's why you got to one you got to you got to be a responsible adult and not put yourself in that situation. Why pull it up for her? We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. We got it. We don't We don't need She needs her in Heler though. We can bring it to him. We can bring it. What you mean? Bring it. Don't leave her. Let her get her. 225 cop. I have a heart problem. I'm sorry. Last night you have It's going to be 84 679. 84679. Do you need some fresh air? I can't breathe. Do you want do you want to check you out? Are you having an asthma attack? Yes. Okay. Give me a second. I'll pull it. 2200. Can I get uh FD 51 to me? My 1015s had an asthma attack. The individuals argued with the cops while they tried to handle the situation calmly. Meanwhile, the suspect's condition did not improve and deteriorated further. Who's the She's going to have to go to jail tonight. I'm going tell you. I can explain it. If you don't yell at me, I can explain it. You are cuz you cool. I appreciate you. Yeah, tell. Well, this is what happens. And the other part, the other gentleman was talking about it. So, when the officer came to separate the fight, she wasn't even a part of the fight, though. She sure was. And that's what I was actually being told by the bartender. But the other problem is this. When the officer's coming and you're yelling and getting aggressive and resisting, so if I come, but no, but you have to understand this. Y'all realize No, understand this. If you didn't do nothing wrong, of course you're going to get upset cuz she didn't do nothing wrong. So she would have a question for her. Let me ask you a question. Why you coming for her and she ain't this wrong? You said you said I'll let you explain, right? You want to let me explain? Yeah. No. Yeah. Where do you Where do you think any of When you say I didn't do nothing? Where does that where does somebody deciding if you did something or didn't do something? Where does that happen? You know what everybody else told you? She ain't do that wrong though. After I showed up, it's not my decision, but after I show up. This is after you resist. If I come and I grab you. All right. Grab her. Go grab her. What you grabbing her for? Stop yelling. I won't explain anything. No, but why you grabbing her? You're going to yell. I won't explain. Stop. What? I'm grown. Then then I won't explain anything. It's not about being grown. You are grown. Yeah, I'm grown. So, you should be respectful and be calm. I am taking respectful, but you're being allowed. No, what I'm saying is why grab her if people are telling you that she didn't do anything wrong. This is after. People told me she didn't do anything wrong after it. Okay. But if if an officer comes and they grab you, you're that's a that's a you're giving a lawful command. You got to you got to you got to relax. You got to listen. No disrespect at all. But it's just you know like that's problem cuz she really did not do much like at all. Yeah. But when the cops when when we show up calm with us that's only we're going to know if you're going to be if you're going to be angry and aggressive. We can't do anything. I guess she was just mad because he hurt that she didn't do nothing. Well, be calm with us and show us that you did. All right. Listen. Hey y'all. Have a good night. Okay. I'm sorry. Nice. Ma'am, listen. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Fetal position. Here, put your feet out. Come on. We're going to have you get out. I'll do it somewhere. Here, put your feet up. Put some right there. There you go. I need my fire fire department's coming. They're going to give you what do you think? I'll be rolling with the 1050. The friends here, they don't know where it is. Where did you inhale at? I don't know where your inhaler lives at. In my purse. In my bag. In the car. I can't breathe. Okay, listen. In through your nose, out through your mouth. Got to calm down. They're coming. They're going to get you up. As the woman was aware that she had asthma, she shouldn't have been involved in the altercation. Now she regrets her decision, but it's too late to change the outcome. They can't find your inhaler. It's my go. I'm not thinking this for real. Yeah, they're coming. They're coming. No, we already called. They're already on their way. That's why we're That's why we're stopped though. I thought you I would be driving. I just need my arms up so I can calm down. I swear I'm not going to do nothing. I don't know something to see. Are we not allowed to pull this close? Are we not allowed to jump on the emergency room? I just I didn't want to take a chance cuz she was Yeah, she was going. Looks like you're breathing. You're doing good. I can't breathe. I swear to God. You'd be You'd be out by now if you couldn't breathe. You're doing I guess I got away now. Control it. Yeah, you're doing without me having to use my inhaler. I swear to God. Put this on my kids. I said, "All right, I'm done with this. freaking take the room. Take the bed. I do not care. We're done. Freaking this is this is be and uh I just started slowly moving my stuff stuff out. She's following me around the house telling screaming at me that why are you doing this to me? Why are you doing this to me? Freaking um that whole song and dance. I like getting she's just like, "That's I'm like, "That's my TV." And um she she went into the bedroom where I'm moving in all my stuff, proceeded to grab all the cords that I've already unplugged to before I take it off the wall, and we proceeded to open the door and chuck them somewhere in the yard here. And um and then and then that And that's when I was just like, okay. In the in the process, she's also said screaming at me freaking at the top of her lungs. Regardless whether you talk to the sergeant, the outcome is still going to be the same. I want to speak to the sergeant. I've already told you you are under arrest and at this point you are resisting. What am I under arrest for? I've already told you. What am I under arrest for? I've already told you. Is he pressing charges? That has nothing to do with it. Nope. It's domestic. He doesn't have to press charges. I want to press charges against him. I already told you it's domestic. You don't have to press charges against him. The state is the one that presses charges. Not the state already took my case and they Listen, listen listen to me. If you don't do your research right now, it's going to get really bad. bad as a state attorney already already when I dropped the charges against him when he promised not to do this to me again. He was going to jail for a year because of what he did to me. That's that's exactly what I just explained to you. The state is the one that prosecutes you, not you. I'm not getting out of my car. I've done nothing wrong. I have no crime. You will You will get out of your car. I have committed no crime. You will get out of your car. I have committed no crime. You will get out of your car. We have someone coming, but like I said, you're going to be coming out of that car. I'm not. Yes, you are. I'm not getting out of my car. Okay. I am a battered woman and if you continue to do this, I will I swear to God I will press charges against the the Puchorno Police Department. Leave me alone. Look, I'm with the K9 unit. You want to get bit by a dog? Get your ass out of the car right now. And you won't come over to my house. You have until I go get my dog and I break this window and you're going to bit by a dog. You will be bit by a dog. has called the cops on me and they're trying to get me out of my car and arrest me when he's attacked. You are under arrest. You You're either going to come out of the car or I'm going to get the dog and I'm going to get you out of the attack me and torn my house to shreds and I will not get out of my car and there's some canine here with a with a dog trying to threaten to get me out of my car. Please come over to my house right now. Get please come get me. Listen to me. Look at me. Look at me. Please come get me, please. Okay. I'm not getting out of my car until my mom and my sister, get here. Leave me alone. Do you want to get bit by a dog? They're not coming near your dog. I don't care. I've done nothing wrong. You want to be bit by a dog? I've done nothing wrong. You want to be bit by a dog? I have done nothing wrong. What is What is your name? I have done nothing wrong. Then come out and talk with us. I've done nothing wrong. Then come out and talk with us. Why are you doing this to me? If you've done nothing wrong, what's your first name? What's your first name? What's your first name? My name is Laura. Laura, if you've done nothing wrong sitting in a car with your window rolled up, scaring me. I'm not trying to scare you. Scaring me is scaring me. Stop it. Okay, listen. You're going to come out of the car whether you like it or not. When your family gets here, they're not coming near the car. So, you can call whoever you want. There is no stopping. Stop it. No, you're not going to tell me what to do. I have dealt with a psycho all night. I'm not doing it with the police department. We're not psychos. You're the one. You're the acting like one that had a man beat the out of me tonight and you're standing at my window doing the same thing he did. Okay, then come out here and talk to us. No. Okay. After several unsuccessful attempts to get Laura out of the vehicle, officers spoke with her mother, who was able to convince Laura to finally step out. The officers then detained her and informed her of the legal proceedings. We've given you multiple lawful orders to get out of the vehicle as well. So now you're getting a resisting charge as well. So regardless of what happened today, I haven't done anything wrong. All right, please. Please do not touch me. Please do not touch me. I would like to go stand with my sister and my mom. Right now, you're going to be placed under arrest. For what? Let it go. Let it go. Why are you arresting me? We're going to allow you to talk to your mom. I would just talk to your mom. Why are you arresting me? They will explain to you. They've already explained to you several times. Just relax. Relax. Well, I want to speak to this sergeant. Why are his arresting me? Are you going to stop yelling at me or not? Cuz if you're going to keep yelling at me, then I'm not going to talk to you. And none of us are going to talk to you cuz we don't have to. Are you going to stop yelling at me? I've never met you before and I'll speak cordially to you. But if if you don't show me respect, I'm not going to show you respect. Take the handcuffs off of me. They're not coming off. This is absolutely ridiculous. They're not coming off. This is not It's not okay. Listen. Are you going to listen to me or not? It's not okay. Are you going to listen to them? I will listen to you. Okay. When we when we come to these types of scenes and people have injuries, you have injuries, he has injuries. Hear me out. I'm explaining to you. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm trying to explain to you and answer your question. When there's injuries, people are involved in a domestic situation that became physical. We are now required by Florida State statute and by law in our profession to act so that there is no propensity for future violence. We're required to do that. So, because of that, we then start interviewing and talking to people. Multiple times. You asked what was going on. You said whatever he said happened and I kept trying to get more information from you just for that reason. I even I even sat on body because I don't because I don't want this. I I've already had to I've already had to the the state of Florida press charges against him and I've already had to go through this so many times. I'm not saying you didn't. I'm sorry you had to go through that. I truly am. But at the end of the day, once the deputies do an investigation, they determine a primary aggressor, they determine charges, we are where we are. I've not reviewed this. I wasn't I had to go to another call all the way across the county a second ago. That's why I left. But I'm glad you did the right thing by exiting the vehicle because at the end of the day, if you did nothing wrong, like you said, you have every right in the world to get an attorney and to fight that and to argue that point and and that can come out later. But as of right now tonight, where we are with this investigation, the evidence that they've obtained and where they're at, they have charges for you. I again, I wasn't here through all those steps, so I can't talk on something I don't know of yet. I don't know the totality of all this. After being arrested, Laura accused the officers of using tricks to involve her mother and get her out of the vehicle. She was placed in the cruiser, visibly distressed, but her mother managed to calm her down. I promised your mom that if you came out of the car peacefully, that's what we wanted to end this is peacefully. I'd allow her to talk to you. Now, the only way that's going to happen is through this back window. Okay? Now, I want you to hear me out. Will you listen to me? Cuz this is beyond all this. This is me doing you a favor. You know, the guy that you said was being mean to you. This is me doing a f because we don't have to do this, but I'm granting this to you and your mom. You understand? Yes or no? I don't have to do this. It's okay. If you It's okay. I do not. You don't want to talk to your mom. I do not expect any favors and I do not want any favors. Okay. No. No. It's more of a courtesy. I don't want a courtesy. Look at me. It's okay. It's okay. It's a courtesy because you came out of the vehicle peacefully. Listen. It's okay. Please let me talk to mom. We're going to take you up there and let you talk to your mom. Can you guys please come down and bail me out for this? This is absolutely insanity. I know. I I know. I do you realize that what and I accomplished by coming over here are a couple of very important things already. Number one, they didn't have to break into your car. I know. Number two, now listen to me. Be calm. I know they didn't send the dog in after you. Do you understand what it's like to have a canine dog in a car with a person, Laura? Please be calm. You have to go before the judge tomorrow. You will be arraigned tomorrow. Call me after that. There's not anything I can do tonight that I haven't already done. I came over. Your car wasn't broken into. You avoided some charges because you came out peacefully without fighting and the dog didn't go and keep telling yourself. It's not as but it could have been much worse. Laura, now what did I ask you to do today? I asked you to come meet me for ice cream. Lauren, you understand? Had you come to be with me, none of this would have happened at all. Listen, Laura, listen. Listen. It's He is bipolar. There is nothing that makes this not happen. Laura was charged with resisting in battery. While Laura refused to comply with the cops and faced the consequences, this suspect took things a step further, escalating the situation by pushing back against the officers. In 2025, officers investigated a report about a red Cadillac involved in an incident where a firearm was brandished. You realize it hit me with the door. If I wanted to be You realize that that is technically battery on Leo, right? You asked me to get out the car. I do have it on video as well. Okay. by pushing the door open to hit me with the door. You're too close. It's a wide. It is what it is. Stand over at the tail end for me, please. A rough day. I'm just trying to get That's okay. You don't You don't have to like me, but when you are detained, you have to obey me. In the first place, you're detained. I just explained it to you. We're doing an investigation because I just had a call that a red kettle. Okay. After brandishing a firearm. That's That's what I explained to you. Correct. Correct. Okay. I understand my job every day. Look, I I get it. I I I'm not going to You have time to stop pacing. I'm going to keep pacing. Well, how about this? Can you do me a favor, Jason? Can you do me a favor? Do you mind if we just take a seat? But I need to take a seat. I can't sit down. I'm not going to lie to you. I can't sit down. Well, the reason I think if we all if we sat down, then it'd make everybody a little less stressed. I'll stand I'll stand still if that's what the case is. I'll stand still, but I'm not sitting down. Is that fine with you? That's fine. Oh, I bet. I appreciate it. You need to pat me down too or something? You mind just lifting your shirt for me a little bit? You can get a female here. We don't We don't need to get a female here. No, you can't touch me. Yes, we can. We are allowed to. I will call an arrest, but we are going to move. You can give it to me, sir. Hey, can I get a second set of cuffs? His wrists are pretty. I'm trying not to hurt your wrist, man. I'm trying to be cognizant of it. And that car is in my name, I can definitely I can't get in the front. With the way you're acting, man. No. What do you mean the way I'm acting? All right. I got him. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. I'll get up. You want to check the other side? Check the other side. After the man was detained, his girlfriend began insulting the officers and attempted to intervene in the legal process. Let go of me. Let go of me. Not letting go. Stand up. I will not run away. I will stand up. You're not going to run away. One leg after the other, please. Stand up. I'm going to get you out. Get me out for what? I didn't even do anything. I know. What's his right? Y'all putting him in the back of the car. What's his right? Ma'am, do not approach that car. Ma'am, I'm not approaching the car. Get off me. How about you? I'm not touching you. How about you sit down for now? off of my bubble. Ma'am, if you don't calm down, you're going in cuffs as well. Do you understand that? We'll explain everything in a second. Just relax. I'm backed up. How much further you back you want me? Ma'am, could you just take a seat for me, please? Listen, I'm trying my best to work with you, but you got to give me a little bit, too. Honestly, y'all aren't even detaining me. Ma'am, you you are you're detained at this point. You're not free to go. We're investigating a crime. You're not free to go at this point. For what? I I just told you, man. We're We're investigating a crime. For what? We have egg assault and battery right now that we're investigating. Yes. With the deadly weapon. We're investigating it at this time, man. You are not you. I didn't say you were necessarily a suspect. That doesn't mean we haven't ruled out everything. Can you please? I tell you what, man. I will talk to my supervisor about making sure we can loosen those cups. But in order to do that, I would have to get you out the car. So, I can't do that right now. And with this officer here, we both can't do that at this point. your officer. I have to get a supervisor approval to get you out of the car. Okay? So, at this point, I'm telling you just I'm being honest with you. You wanted to to ask me honestly and I wanted to tell you honestly so we're on the same page. I want to do that for you so that way you're not hurting, but I can't do that right at this stage. Okay. Have you seen my record? I have not looked at your record person. I have not looked at my record. I yell I'm yelling. Ashley, 1990. Ma'am, I really don't want to place you in cops. I'm trying to be cool with you. You know, I'm being cool. Quit walking her mom on me. Okay, then can you please go back by the tree? I was fine there until y'all bought walking on me. I'll step back to here. I'm cool with you. He can walk away. Let's try the neighbor one time. We already got our information. Okay. In a perfect world and every case, we have a video footage and we can know exactly what happened. And that's why the court's there. We do what we have to do based on evidence that we have. What the based on evidence we have now going that could change, you know, as well. I mean, anybody that knows anything that that's known anybody that's been in trouble knows that what you get charged with and what you actually get convicted of, you can get convicted of all. I understand that. My main concern was his safety. And so, because he's never been in this situation before given what what happened in New York. Um, you can kind of see, yes, he is from New York. He just came down here. Um, so given where his mindset is coming from New York with cops, um, and never being in handcuffs before, you can only uh, yeah, with this one, throwing him straight to the ground when he's just saying, "Please put your cuffs." I was there, too. That's not what happened. Don't resist us whenever we're telling you, you're not under arrest. Put your hands behind back. I tried telling him, but uh, he he's like, I'll put I'll put my hands in front. We don't at that point. We're not the ones to negotiate. We we never negotiate when it comes to that. Um it's not because we're jerks and I get that. Uh he doesn't. You should have a bond. Okay. I I honestly have What is the charges? Okay. I rated assault with a deadly weapon. Why is he getting assault with a deadly weapon if no deadly weapon was brandished? Well, that's what you're saying. They're saying something else. How many people are saying something? Doesn't matter. There's Regardless, we have no problem. So, that's what he's getting. There was only two people. So, I'm not here to argue. I'm not here to argue the statements. I'm just here to tell you what he was charged with. Okay. Uh possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Commission of a felony. What's that? Okay. Um the man was charged with a felony. Meet this couple labeled as very classy tourists who ignited a brawl after being cut off at a restaurant. They played the innocent card, but the footage told a different story.
