17th 2023 an officer conducted a traffic stop involving do due to suspicion of a suspended license as law enforcement approached the vehicle D exhibited unusual behavior okay can you roll down the fire station in Georgia to address a domestic conflict involving a woman named Grady and her husband as the officers arrived they came into contact with Grady under surprising [Music] circumstances officer La John CR Police Department nice meet nice to meet you nice to meet you want to tell me what's going on um I was little I was a little nervous mhm um you want you want we can step outside if you rather do that want to step outside I don't know what the answer is oh good we B more people excellent um um I yeah you want to step outside with me I it's fine least you're not around everybody I think we were both mad each other I can't really even remember anymore like I I wasn't that mad I can't remember what it was if I was and they just kept like MH real angry and I didn't I I didn't understand that cuz I was like it's okay you know and I and I I I kept trying to find my phone I kept trying to find my phone to record it and I don't know if I have my phone truly I don't it could be here it could be in my car it could be not here I truly don't know but I kept hearing he was like making like wling sounds and I kept trying to find my phone and thinking don't do this he's going to suddenly a strong odor emerged oh my okay because I just kept thinking like where the hell is the record button okay so we'll be this is just a video okay so how do I found whatever might have been watched the video which didn't align with Grady's story where do you guys get the cats from I got my rag dolls from uh breeder back in 2008 and I uh our um middleaged Kitty we found on the street in front of our house on Valentine's Day in 2014 on our way to a restaurant it was it's like the most amazing story we're on our way to um JY River and he just like ran across the street in the middle of the road in the snow on Valentine's Day and I was like oh my God stop so we stopped and I scooped him up and he literally like crawled up onto my neck which is the most random thing ever and my husband's like what you expect to happen now like what are we doing so we just turned around went back home I was like well you have a cop star we'll give him a cop star we'll put in bedroom leave him put a cop star give him his own bedroom and didn't really give me much of the story of what happened just and I played like I I tried to what's so embarrassing is that I wanted to record it and I just couldn't even come up with in my head and I was like I know we can work like dude like I know it's possible like do it but I was just so I don't think anything I don't think anything would have happened I I really don't but here I am and he's probably asleep at home and I'm here I'm like I would just like to go home now you said your husband's probably at home right now is that where he is yes okay we I I wanted to just kind of talk to him and make sure he was okay and and what was going on get his side of things and this do you you know how I could get a hold of him yeah I'm sure he's probably sleeping right now probably sleeping is he even his phone on him like next to him to wake him up or anything um he gets the phone usually in the bathroom and it's right next to him do we have to keep doing this for a long period of time what do you mean well I've been here for a while okay I'm just curious of how long this might continue to go on I know that I'm the one who came here getting pretty tired it's already pretty tired and I'm just wondering how long we might might need to continue doing this okay so we want to make sure we just want to talk to him right now and make sure that he's okay also in this I'm sure he's fine can I just go to a hotel not quite yet we got to figure out the other half of this so okay not quite yet okay however when the officers asked Grady to provide the phone number of her husband her demeanor started to change so when can I do that uh we're trying to work on that right now great I I I can't give you an exact time if I could give you an exact time I'd be a a fortune teller you know I can't read the future so I'm trying to we're trying to work out how to get a hold of him uh is there a phone number is there a phone number I can call him or anything do you know his phone number I could give him a call maybe I do know his phone number okay you want to tell me that if I didn't could I just go away so so whether or not you tell me his phone number doesn't change whether or not you're going to leave right now so that that doesn't have an A be a bearing one I obviously going to willingly you yeah and now I'm stuck here for right now yeah that feels wrong okay do you understand why that feels wrong I can understand how you might see that wrong yeah I could understand how you might see it that way okay can you help me to determine why that's not the case so from what I've been told there there's some other information that's not necessarily saying that you're necessarily a victim right now okay okay some information at this moment the officer provided her with information that caught her open-mouthed um whatever video you showed showed you as what appeared to be the primary aggressor in a in a physical dispute and we're trying to go and check on him and make sure he's not out there Rodney is out inside there Jesus no so that's where we're at right now okay well so that that's why we're still sitting here because we're not just going to walk away on the possibility after just seeing that that there's a chance that y'all have or that that y'all have been involved in a physical domestic disput and we're not just going to walk away and then find out tomorrow that the guy inside of there or something right that' be irresponsible me wouldn't it oh my dear God okay so that's where we're at right now this is the most insane thing how was this always the case I swear to God last time hit me and I'm the one who got in trouble like I've never met you before so I don't I know that I understand that but go anywhere right now you drove here while you were had been intoxicated you're in prison you you no idea that I was the the vehicle did come here some some way and you have been drinking okay you started to comply you didn't tell me what started the fight you didn't tell me where it began so what I saw was only the side of you striking him you didn't tell me anything from his side of it or anything about him you constantly said he has not put his hands on you and all I same was you putting your hands on him I as you to tell me from point A to point B and you haven't explained what happened whatsoever I've made a mistake I should never have said that never said that so do you want to contact him and see if it in the phone I should never have come here I should never have said that that's how I feel and now I feel like everybody else would see I I should never have even I should I should never should never have said where like I said you have you've now been told all the information that you've given us right and I should have never said anything so this is where we are I should have never said anything well this is where we are that doesn't change that's fine so you right now you are a suspect right now and you're not going anywhere why is that in a domestic dispute you're not going anywhere I haven't done anything based off of the video that we've seen you're not going anywhere you are detained right now you are not AFE to leave so we're trying to make sure that the person that we've seen that according to that video is a victim right now is still alive and go from there so that's where we're at like I told you several times we're just trying to contact him and make sure he's still okay that's all do you have any idea what this feels like you have no idea what this feels like this is unbelievable unbelievable so if you would like to tell me from point A to point B we can go from there all right you want to go to your house I do all right obviously we had seen was that y'all had been in a fight and now we couldn't get a hold of you and so we've had officers here trying to knock on your door for the last hour and uh your garage door was unlocked and open by the way so we were yelling down the hall trying to wake you up something trying to see if we were getting there had another officer up there working on the search warrant she was fining she said you know I'll just take you up to him so she obviously wasn't really super Cooperative with us I'm I'm fine okay can you tell us a little bit of what what were youall arguing over you're not bleeding or anything like that she didn't stab you or anything did she no well I'm I'm fine okay okay um the police took a statement from the victim to move on to further legal proceedings but his statement astounded the officers you know you want to tell us anything about the argument anything so I want to give you all reason to you know take her back in the C no I'm good you're not going to tell us anything what that happen thanks for coming to my bedroom so like I said the only reason we were in here was trying to make sure you were still okay cuz all we saw was video of her beating on
