Bounty hunters are empowered by an 1875 federal law that permits agents of bail bondsmen to enter residences and cross-state lines in pursuit of bail jumpers. Bail jumpers offenses can range from simple misdemeanor to armed assault, drug trafficking, and even murder. [music] This is their world. I still turn your hand around >> it around >> across the [music] United States. >> Over 10 million fugitives roam our city streets. >> I go back to jail. >> Fugitive recovery [music] creatures. The real bounty hunters are the men whose job it is to bring these felons down to seek. >> Go, go, go, go, go, go, go. >> To locate. >> Hang on. You're under arrest. >> To capture [music] >> down all the way down. >> Don't move. >> To bring them back to justice. Fugitive recovery agents, the real bounty hunters, is shot entirely on location and involve people that jump bail. Although guilty of jumping bail, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These are their stories. >> This one is for death. Actually, petty's death theft. But this guy, we tried call him because it's small charge. We kept on calling say come in and get another court date. But he never returned our calls or saying he's not there. The police still lives there. So we're going to swing by see if this car is there. His car is there. We're just going to go ahead and hit it. He don't want to go to court. So we try to work with him. He don't want work with us. So, his name's Danny Alvarado. He's about 27 years old. 28 years old. Mexican male. Supposed to be about what was it? 510. >> 510. 210. >> Yeah. 510. Weigh about 210 lbs. >> We're going to run to the research library here in town. Just do some cross referencing. the library. We just uh they have >> forgot the book's name, but basically got all phone numbers with address connected to it, how many people live there, what kind of house it is, and then we run a property profile on the computers, and then it usually kicks out who owns the apartment or the house. Sometimes it come out with the people's phone numbers, the owners. Actually, >> I'm going to back up uh Tim and S on this, and we're just on the way over to this where this guy's supposed to be living. And uh Tim and S their own car right behind us right now. So we're going to get in the area. We're going to have Tim and S drive by. If they see the car or they think he's there, then we're going to go ahead and go in the house and search the house. See if we can find him, take him down and surrender him at the local jail. >> His car is here. His car is here. Let's just drive by real quick. We'll make a phone call. Let's get ready at the corner. >> He's here. Car's here. Door's open. Actually, we do it real quick. Well, we're going to see if they want to go up on the house. The car apparently is here that belongs to the fugitive. The uh car direct in front of us. Looks like they're gearing up over there. Is that his car? >> Yeah. >> Yeah, that's his car. And front door's wide open. You want to take a chance or you want to call him? >> No. Let's go. >> Let's go. >> Can we get one guy on the corner? >> Yeah. You can see both cuz there two houses connected. And then uh >> I want to go with whoever goes at the front door. >> You want to go? Go ahead, S. Okay, let's go. >> We're going to drive right up on the driveway. >> Driveway? >> Yeah. Right up the driveway. Let's go. Let's go. Let's go. Danny. >> Danny, >> come up, dude. Come on out. >> What's your name? >> Danny. >> All right, >> get your ass up. Come on. >> Got a war for your wrist. >> Why? >> Come on. Get up. Just get up. Just get up. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. >> Why is there a warning for my wrist? You ain't going to court, man. That's fine. >> They're trying to contact your ass. >> They're just call me right now. >> That was me. >> I have a court date on the 17th. >> You got a warrant, though. >> You got your shoes, dude? >> I've been calling all week. Your mother, your cousins, your aunts, everybody. >> I can't hold on to them. >> Huh? >> Hold on. Where's your shoes? >> So, hold right there. God dang. But I haven't I haven't even done nothing. What's all this about? >> No, we try to get hold you. That's the only reason we're picking you up. >> I tried everybody left. >> Dang. This is ridiculous. >> Yeah. He's going right with you, Tim. >> Crazy. >> See, they lose money when we have to do this. They don't want to do this. See, when you don't show up for court, the court sends us a paper, sends the office a paper saying that we have so much time to get you back in custody, otherwise we got to pay the amount of bail that was set out for you. So, they try to contact you like they did and we're the last the resource. He never called back, so they sent us out. What they get you for pay for? >> Uh, just I stole some razor blades, shaving blades. >> That's it. >> Yeah, that's it. I thought I didn't think I owed the bails bonds anything cuz I paid $200. >> No, I guess you didn't finish going to all your court dates or something happened down the line. No, I tried everything to try to hold you. Gave my pager number and everything. I gave to all your family, all your reference, everything. Dude, >> you just apprehended our subject. We're heading toward uh Fresno County Jail. We're going to be booking them in. It went fairly easy. He was no problem. He's real cooperative. So, I wish it all could be this way. Never know. Here we are in Tammy County and we have five warrants for Nikki Lin Mcgown aka Nikki Low. These warrants out of municipal court that were issued uh on October 9th, 1996. Uh we have is we have petty theft, grand theft, uh three or four possession charges, 1085, one stolen vehicle. Okay. Um, here's a picture of her right here. I don't think she's going to run on us, but uh there's some other people in the house. I believe she's living in the garage. Our informants told us a few things. Um, she probably uh will go peacefully. We're not sure about that, but these are all felony warrants that were issued. We're going to go ahead and knock and notice and uh see if she'll go ahead and answer. Somebody else will answer. Okay. Be prepared for her maybe to go out the back door. >> Sounds good. Now, she's supposed to be living in the garage, but she probably got access to the house, >> right? This is the first time we've been here. We have no idea how the layout is in the back, if there's any alleyways or side streets. Now, >> you did say that you thought there were some dogs. >> Yeah, it looked like a dog kennel, a makeshift dog kennel in the back. Okay. >> So, when you go around back, um I'm sure we'll hear the dogs bark, but let us know if there's a problem. >> That's red cars there. >> Yep. >> Where's she at? >> I have no idea. Yeah, >> we got a warrant for arrest. >> She's not here. Tomorrow she >> not here. >> Okay. Is she in the garage? >> No, she's not, sir. >> Okay. We're going to take a look around for you. You don't mind? >> That's not my house, but you >> Okay. Why don't you stand over there? >> Thanks. >> Where's Nikki? >> I don't know any Nikki. >> This Nikki was staying here. >> Not me. >> He doesn't know. He's just here. >> Okay. Why don't you step outside for me? Okay. Thanks, man. A man, man. >> She was here earlier. >> You can clearly see that she's not in here. So, >> she's staying here, though. >> Uh, she's not staying here right now. >> Where is she? >> I have no idea where she's at. >> Okay. >> But she's not in here. >> Okay. Come on outside. We'll explain what we got here. Okay. >> Okay. That's great. >> Okay. We got five felony warrants for her at 12 county. I'd like to know where she's at, though, cuz I want I don't want to disturb you guys and come back. >> This morning with who? >> I have no idea. I don't >> I don't even know who she left with. She said she's supposed to be back though. >> She's supposed to be back. >> I have no idea. I don't live here. >> What was she driving when she left? >> I was asleep when she left. >> I don't think she was driving. >> Her car was impounded. She said >> her car was impounded. Yeah. >> Excuse me. You're not coming in my house. Do this out there. >> You can't come in here. >> Okay. Well, we have five felony warrants. So, we're going to take a look. Okay. >> You need a warrant for going to wait. Let me explain. Let me explain something. Okay. >> She's not in here. You can't come in here. >> We're going to take a look around, man. No. >> We're just going to take a look. If she's not in here, got nothing to hide. Why don't you stand over there for me? >> Nothing to hide. >> Okay. Excuse me. We got to know the house. We're telling you, man. >> Okay, we'll just we're going to take a look for her. Okay. >> It just violates her. >> No, no. We have See, the thing is we know she's here, which she is or has been living here. >> Okay. Hold on. Hold on. >> We're not going to serve you. Okay. Hold on a second. We're talking, but thanks. I'm sorry about this. The thing is No, I know. Thing is, we know she's here. She was here earlier. >> Let me explain. >> Okay. I appreciate it. Okay. We're just going to take quick felony warrants. Okay. We understand it, but she's not here to get out of the house. The lady, man, >> what are you saying? >> Okay. It's okay. We want to check that room. >> She's going to be back, though. You know, >> I have no idea. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> She stays in in in there once in a while. All right. She has nowhere to go. Okay. And she's trying to take care of her. >> Oh, I know. Okay. >> And she Mr. Cordate. She got a hold of public. >> No, I know. Here's the thing is I hold the bonds on her. I'm the bondsman on her. >> She's not going to jump. >> It doesn't matter. But the thing is, I got her out. I got around 20 I got around $23,000 worth of bonds. Okay, >> I know. I understand that. I understand that. And she doesn't want to off >> and you know what I'm saying. She doesn't want She missed. She feels bad or whatever. You know, >> I know. She's got to get a hold of me, man. >> Okay. >> You got five felony warrants on her. Okay. And a cosigner is going to lose $23,000. >> Okay. She has to get a hold of me. >> Okay. Do you have a card? >> Yeah, I do. I'll get a card for you. >> Okay. Do you have any idea where she went or who she went with? >> No, I was asleep. I was sleeping when she >> You were sleeping, too? >> Yeah, it was real. >> Okay, we have good information. She was here. And >> most of the time she is here. >> Yeah, that's what I'm saying. We know for a fact. We watch We've been watching this house for 3 days. >> Yeah, we know. >> Okay. So, uh, our informants have told us she moved her stuff in here, which she did. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And that's good enough. And we don't need a search warrant. >> Is still here. >> Okay. We're going to head back to the staging area and regroup. >> Feel she's probably going to be back sometime tonight or really early in the morning. We'll try to time that. We are going to revoke her bond. Um whether she thinks we are or not, it's too much money. $23,000. We got no phone calls from her. Uh it's been a few days and uh I feel that she probably made us earlier this afternoon when we were parked out across the street. So, we'll set everything up and discuss what we're going to do next. Earlier this morning, the defendant, Nikki McGau, phoned me uh at the office and she's concerned about us looking for her. She wants me to re she wants me to reinstate her bond, which isn't going to happen. Um found out she's in Modesto and that's where we're heading to right now. We've sent uh two different cars down there to to do a code five surveillance on the motel and uh we've confirmed she's staying in room 210. Unit one, unit two. >> Okay. You know where this room's at? >> Maybe in the office. >> 104. Don't hit you. Tell them service. >> Room service. >> No, thank you. [ __ ] room service. I need to talk to you. >> Open the door, Nikki. Open the door nice and easy. >> Come on. Open the door. >> Just open it nice and easy. >> Who else is in here? >> Who else is in here? >> You know what? I'm coming out right now. >> Okay, let me see. Come on. Nice and slow. >> Come on. >> Nice and slow. Come on out. Right here. Cal, leave it. Leave the door open. Leave the door open. >> Why? >> I said so. >> I'll clear. >> Okay, Nikki, >> hook her up. Cathy, >> turn around. Turn around. >> See your hands. Anybody else in here? Let's see your hands now. >> Is anybody else in here? Answer up. >> By special order of the president of the United States Air Force Base, West Germany. Okay, you got you got her code for you. Bring her back in here and we'll sit on the chair. >> Okay, come on back in here, >> Nikki. >> Let's not touch anything. >> Okay. Got your purse on the bed. >> Nikki. >> Nikki, you didn't show up for court. You took off. >> I swear I did. >> I swear I was going to show up. That's why I guess where I'm at. Oh, hi. This is Steve Ser Bail Bonds, room 210. Yeah, everything's secure. Um, can you do you have a connection to Modesto PD? >> Would you dial for me? >> Thank you, [music] >> Nikki. I swear I swear to God I was going to court. I swear. >> What's all this guns? This stuff? >> What are you doing with the guns? [music] >> I can't leave this stuff in the room. Nikki, >> what kind of gun is it? >> Uh 32 caliber. >> Not a little bit. >> Smith and Wesson. >> And we have some >> crystal meth. We have pipes. [music] >> All right, we're code four here, but we got crystal meth and loaded weapons. >> Uh, crystal meth. Oh, 23 g 32 caliber. Actually, we only found one. We're going to wait for you guys to do a little search in here if you want to. >> Um, we've unloaded. We've secured it. She's [music] cuffed. >> Uh, room 210. Thanks, Nikki. This is a problem. We got drugs, guns. [music] >> Okay, clean. >> They tell me you were getting ready to leave the county. >> No, I'm not. I swear to God, all my things are at Jennifer's house. I wasn't getting ready to leave. >> I wouldn't have called you if I was going to leave. >> You would have called me? >> I wouldn't have called you if I was going to leave. [music] >> Is there any more guns or anything in here? >> No. >> Is there Is there any more meth? No. That's it. >> Okay. >> What's all this? [music] >> Lots of drug area. Lot >> I can't do anything with this stuff. I I It's It's hazardous material. I can't leave it here. [music] No, we can't reinstate your bail. We don't have a co-signer and the jail refuses to go ahead and Well, >> I told you I was going to get I know. It just didn't happen fast enough for us. And the co-signers on $23,000 with a bond is not strong enough. >> Okay. Yeah, you brought this on yourself. Went out the window, anybody? >> Yeah, this one went out the window. >> Where's he at? You can No, it's a lot easier if you tell us cuz we don't want to do a big man hunt for him. What's his name? Was he was in here? Definitely. Okay. You want to tell us what You want to take this rat by yourself? It's a lot easier uh if this isn't your stuff if you can tell us who it is. >> Yes. You uh >> you don't want to rat on him. >> Want to take the whole thing for him if that's his gun and everything cuz you know what you're looking at. Felon with a firearm. Crystal meth. >> Tell me be somebody on for a white WMA. He went out the back on us. >> Uh yeah. >> You got Hey, you you haven't you have enough crap going on. You want to listen listen to me, Nikki. You got enough stuff going on. Do you want to go ahead do you want to go ahead and take the beef for his stuff? That's not his stuff. >> Okay. Uh >> cuz what's going to happen is they're going to make a search right now and they're going to find somebody on foot really close by. Did he have a car? >> No. >> We have any kind of description on him and >> not yet, but tell him he went out on foot about three ago. So >> we're with the the one personnel and so it'll be about 3 minutes if you see any. >> What do we got? >> Uh we have a gal with five felony warrants and in possession of crystal meth loaded firearm. Okay. >> And we got pipes and paraphernalia everything. So, somebody went out the window uh on us also. >> She won't get No, we didn't see him. She won't give anything to us, but uh we didn't want to touch anything, but you might find some IDs and stuff in here. >> Okay. I got a sergeant coming over to see what's going on because it's like, hey, >> I know. Hey, >> this is your puppy and they'll come get the scraps and everything. So, >> yeah. Yeah, not a problem. This is Nikki McGowan. She had five warrants at Swami County. >> Okay. Where do we find everything at? >> Okay. The loaded the firearms over there. Um, there's >> secure now. >> It's secure. >> There's scales and drug paraphernalia over here in the corner. >> Weapons over there. >> That's the only weapon we were able to find. >> This is all his stuff. You know, the the drug narcotics guys are going to come by. They're going to talk to you about this. You know, if you want to take the beef, that's up to you. But he left you hanging. >> Uh, he was blonde, had hair. How you doing, Sergeant? >> Real well. Nice to see you. >> Thank you for coming by. Didn't mean to get into all this, but we got some meth. We had a load of firearms. >> Guys went out the back. We hit the door. Did you catch him? >> We didn't see anybody and she's not telling us anything. And >> so, it's up to you guys, but >> No, we didn't see anything. >> We're going to have additional felony charges on the woman. She's next felon. So, you got weapons and I'll take a look at the chemicals and see what we have there. >> Let's see if we need to get the uh narcotics guy. >> I got a canine coming. You may want to get as much description on this guy that bled out as possible so we can set up a kind of a search for him. >> Okay. >> Cuz we got him on charges, too, if we can find him. >> All right. >> Catch him as soon as we can because he'll be our witnesses for what he looks like if we do catch him. Right. >> No, we didn't see him. She's only We have no idea. He was out the back before we even got in there. >> We're waiting for the narcotics officers to show up and uh they ordered a K9 unit. They also have hazmat coming out because of the chemicals um regarding the drugs, different dangerous chemicals. >> You saw saw >> saw the guy run out. I saw a couple of minutes later, I saw um two other guys and they the they had this big bald guy, a white plastic sack and they took off into a nice red car and they saw me looking at him so they pulled right up alongside the tractor and stared me down. You got enough paraphernalia. There's enough stuff in there for a meth lab. They've got scales, they've got hoses, you got the propane, you got the acetone, you got everything to make it. That's for sales and distribution, Nikki. We've got the the the propane burners which is used to heat the substance. The the acetone is used to um separate and then the filters to filter out the adulterance and then the tubing. There's always a certain chemical that's that's called a precursor that they uh they have to use in order to be able to make the illegal substance. depend upon what the chemicals that they're making. Um there's different chemicals used in order to um in order to heat and separate and filter what they're after. This is part of the lab in here uh they use for filtering um for uh uh actually washing the chemicals and uh uh filtering everything down. It's called a bathtub of operation and that's um it's a very um uh it's a method that's widely used in in making illegal substances and it's also very dangerous. We've got combustible materials. We've got scales for weighing. So, it was definitely it was definitely a a lab used to uh manufacture illegal substance. anytime when you can not only get the suspect that you're after arrested, but also do a good job for the law enforcement community and take some drugs off the street. It's It's a very good job. It was good arrest and I think we should all be proud of ourselves. It's a good day's work. [music] >> [music] >> Okay. [music] Hallelujah. >> [music] [music] >> Hey, [music] [music] hey, hey. >> [music] [music] [music] >> Bounty hunters are empowered by an 1875 federal law that permits agents of bale bondsmen to enter residences in cross lines in pursuit of bail jumpers. Fugitive Recovery Agents, the real bounty hunters, is shot entirely on location and involve people that jump bail. Although guilty of jumping bail, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These are their stories. >> Coming into Cambria, this case that we're working here is a female. Uh she's currently got three warrants for her arrest and uh one's fighting in public or uh the other one's a driving while intoxicated and then on our bond uh she has a vandalism charge that she's pending. So, um, we're going to be going to a a uh one of the more favorite restaurants here, which we know she has some association to do with that restaurant. We're going to pull over up here and walk in and see if we can talk to someone, get some information here. Got us a a possible street address. Good. >> I got the phone number to where they're at. >> And I found out she's actually employed here. >> Here. >> Yeah. She actually she works here and her boyfriend just picked her up and and they're on the way home right now. So, let's go on over there. >> All right. >> Her boyfriend uh >> uh and her live up in this hill region across the the uh way here. So, we're going to drive up over there. Uh they're supposedly driving a newer uh uh green Mustang and uh maybe we can track them down that way. So there's your jacket. Okay. Well, as soon as we spot this Mustang and everything, if we believe this is our our place to go, we're going to go ahead and make the entry. I think we're only only going to have one chance at doing this. We do have a phone number for her and uh we can give it a call. You need to rectify the situation with us right now because if you don't, I'm going to pursue a charge against you for willful illusion of prosecution via bail bond. Okay? >> In essence, you're committing a crime on the bail bond itself. So, you need to take care of this here and now. I am right here, right down the street from you. Okay? I'm up in Park Hill. I know you're up here in Park Hill. Okay? So, you need to take care of this. I want your address. If you don't give me your address, we will wait for you to come to work and I will take you down in front of all your employees, your employers. I will go back to your employment right now and I will I will show them the warrants I have for your arrest. >> Okay? I will have the sheriff's department come down here. We will obtain your home address from your employer and I will take you forcefully. >> Okay. You need to go down to the ocean, okay? Towards the water, okay? And you know where that little park is on the corner of Windsor? >> Okay. You need to come right there. Okay. I'm going to be in a black Lincoln Town Car. Okay. If you're not there, how how long before you going to get there? Okay. If you're not there very shortly, okay, the the next place I go to is your employer. And I have warrant in my pocket. Okay. Okay. And I can show issuance for your arrest. Yes, he has. We can rebail you, but you you need to work with us right now. Okay. Okay. I can have you back out and free and give you a new court date in in two hours. I promise you. I I don't think she wants us to come to her place of employment. And uh I know she definitely doesn't want us to come knocking on her door at her house. So, uh, we'll see what happens here. So, are you Sean? >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. You know, we have a warrant for your arrest. Okay. >> So, Okay. You You change the color of your hair. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Why? >> Because I wanted to have her there. >> Okay. All right. So, do you have any weapons on you? Anything we should know about? >> No. >> No. You want to check her, Rebecca? Make sure >> came voluntarily on it. I wouldn't have anything. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. >> I'm going to put these on in front of you. Okay. You have you have to be in our custody. Okay. >> Okay. So, okay. All right. Use so it doesn't tighten up on you. Okay. All right. You jumped. You jumped on the bell bond. Okay. You fell too pure on it and everything. and that's why we're taking you back into custody. You have three warrants for your arrest. Okay? >> So, uh you can be rebelled, but in order for us to get you to that point, we have to surrender you. Okay? The only way we're going to be able to surrender you is to take you into custody like we have. >> Okay? And surrender you down St. Louis Abyispo. >> After you booked in, they'll give you the exact dollar amount. Then you can place bail. Okay. >> Okay. You're going to have to place bail on each one of the warrants. >> Mhm. >> Okay. So, right, we're also going to need your home address, all this information to, you know, I know you wanted to come down here and take care of this and everything. So, like I told her, we're going to go ahead and take her into custody. We're going to take her down to St. Louis and everything. It's going to take up roughly about 2 hours for her to be processed in. >> Okay. And u uh I would say then are you going to be home or you or Okay. The best thing for you to do is probably be home. As soon as she gets processed in, she can call you collect. Okay. And then, you know, she'll give you the the dollar amount and everything like that and then you can contact the bondsman and uh take it from there. Okay. >> Have all that information. >> Steve's my dad's friend and my dad told me to call you guys. I was It's just I wanted to get my together before I, you know, I want to be stable and have a place for my dog so I could go take care of everything. It wasn't like I did it, you know, >> like you need to take care of it. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Today we're giving you a bump start. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Friday. Okay. So, I get to stay in jail all weekend. >> No, you get out. >> You can be bail. [laughter] >> Okay. >> All right. >> All right. >> He'll catch you. I'm not running. I just fig >> So, so you know Brent? >> Oh, yeah. I know all those stories. >> Okay. He told you I'd catch you. >> Yeah, he told me. >> We're in route right now to surrender her to the sheriff's department. Uh, I think all in all everything went down smoothly. Um, I used uh my most important weapon and that was my intelligence and uh no one got hurt in this one and that's what we shoot for each and every time. Okay, watch your step. >> Okay. All right, >> Todd. Tell them that your your intentions are to rebail. >> Okay. So yeah, we'll take care of you from there. So >> hold on. >> All right. Thank you. >> Hopefully my laugh >> take right here. Okay. Thank you, sir. Have a good day. >> When all was said and done, she was very happy. >> Yeah. I think >> about the whole thing. She wanted this over and done with. I think she's very relieved, you know, and, you know, she kind of stressed the fact that she didn't have to look over her shoulder anymore and worry about somebody coming, you know, hunting her down or anything. So, uh, she'll be rebuild and, uh, you know, we earned our keep for the day. So, >> can we go eat now? >> Let's go. >> Okay. >> Uh-huh. 3300 block of Mbrook Road, West Millbrook. >> All right. Talk to me and let me know what you got going on. Grove Chris Court. What we looking for? >> That's it, man. Make left. >> Where this thing at? Let him know. >> How we're going to run this is we're going to go to the apartment. We're going to do it the oldfashioned way. Go to the apartment. We're going to call the number. When you don't go to court and you miss your court date, there's a warrant issue. When there's a warn issue, you're wanted. And when you're wanted, you're a fugitive. You are considered a fugitive from justice. >> So, when did you miss your court date? >> Oh, god. But I don't know. I can't help you. >> This really sucks, doesn't it? >> No, I don't want to do 400. Another safe, successful job. No one's hurt. You know, they understood. We explain. Always like to explain to the other spots what's going on so they won't be weary of what's going on. Like I said, we did everything right. We went in. We announced ourselves. We let her know why we was there. Let her know what the deal was. And like I said, another successful job done, guys. Good job, man. Like I say, we all got to be safe. >> Good job. I catch you tomorrow, man. I'm going to go home and call the night. Well, basically we had a contract to apprehend Mr. Bernett. He's uh drug trafficking. We tracked him to a location in uh Brooklyn. We got two locations we're going to check out. Most likely some tenement buildings in Brooklyn. Also have security guards hired on by the property managers. Uh they'll cooperate, get the apartments. We'll break up in teams to cover different exits to get out of the place. And hopefully we'll get the score in the first hit. I just got into uh the area, the projects that we were looking for a fugitive by the name of Paul Bernett. Uh projects are quite large out here. So, what we're going to first do is establish uh which building that he's actually in. We're going to take a drive by, check out the area, see what dealers are out in the street. >> What number are we looking for? >> I think it's 9327. Hold a second. >> We just been fingered. It's 50. a lot of people. Yeah, the project's coming up here on the right, but some of the buildings are inside, so uh we can't see it on the street. We might have to park and just uh take a gamble and just belly in. >> Apartment number >> 6E >> 6E >> 6E. This is where his family is, so gambling that He ain't in here. We got to lay it on the family. >> You got to spot it right outside here. >> I know. I got you. That's what we're going to be. We got to move fast. >> 16. >> 6C. >> All right. >> Everybody knows what he looks like. Let's hit it. Let's hit it. What do you think? 66. Open the door, please. Special agent, open the door. We're going to knock the door down. >> Open it now. >> Open it now. >> Get back from the door. >> Get down. Get down on the ground. >> What happened? KIDNAPPED. >> IT'S ALL RIGHT. IT'S ALL RIGHT. >> Give me a light IN HERE. >> OH MY GOD. >> It's all right. >> Relax. Go in there. Go in there. >> It's all right. >> What is this? >> Relax. >> What is this? NOT A BAD WHY YOU PAUL? >> WHAT? PAUL HERE. >> Everybody tells me he's in this apartment. >> What? Mama, >> where is he? >> Okay. Just get me some water. High blood pressure. I got a hot problem. >> All right. >> All right. Calm down. Calm down. Calm down. >> We gained entrance into his mother's residence in the tenement building near the project. >> Spoke with her. He promised her that he would come up with an address or phone number of her son's whereabouts or or if he was in the apartment, try to contact us and hold him there until we uh got to the location to apprehend him. >> [music] [music] >> down. Hallelujah. [music] >> [music] >> Hey, [music] [music] hey, hey. >> [music] [music] [music] >> Bounty hunters are empowered by an 1875 federal law that permits agents of bail bondsmen to enter residences and cross-state lines in pursuit of bail [music] jumpers. Bail jumpers offenses can range from simple misdemeanor to armed assault, drug trafficking, and even murder. [music] This is their world. >> I still turn your hand around. >> Across the United States, >> over 10 [music] million fugitives roam our city streets. >> I ain't going back to jail. >> Fugitive recovery features. The real bounty hunters are the men whose job it is to bring these felons down. To seek. >> Go, go, go, go, go, go, go. >> To locate. >> Hang on. You're under arrest. >> To capture. >> Down. All the [music] way down. Don't move. >> To bring them back to justice. Fugitive recovery agents. The real bounty hunters is shot entirely on location and involve people that jump bail. Although guilty of jumping bail, they are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. These are their stories. The >> case that we're going out on right here looks for a uh ABC bail bonds in St. Louis Abyispo. uh sponsors tried to make contact with the the defendant and the co-signer and uh to have him comply to the wishes of the court and surrender himself. Um on a consensual search of his home, they St. Louis Fispo Police Department uh uncovered a uh little uh room where this guy was cultivating marijuana and he also had prescription drug that uh he obtained uh illegally possibly uh the individual who had the prescription had no idea that this defendant had it in his possession. So, he's got two felony cases on top of each other. And right now, he's got a 10,000 felony warrant for his arrest. Hi. He's here. He just pulled in. So, so uh yeah, come on back. Get everything suited up here. We're waiting for our female operative to show up. He's off until we're ready to use them. Looking through there, we see the guy's car. Okay. So, he is here. Okay. >> On the side of the barn. Okay. He lives upstairs. Okay. Right next to it. >> Our side. >> Yeah. Closest to us. You see that that camper right there? >> Yep. >> I want you to position yourself about 15 ft beyond that camper. So, you got a clear view of the backyard. >> Okay. >> Uh me and Rebecca, she shows up. She's coming up the opposite way. We just got in touch with her. So, she's been doing surveillance down the other end. Uh when she comes up, we're going to go up and do our entry on this. Me and Rebecca will take the front and everything cuz because if it's two stories and everything, she's going to have to stay downstairs, >> right? >> And I'm going upstairs. Okay. Because unless he's right downstairs. So, I want I me on the mic. >> Yeah. I'll let you know uh that you know what's going on and everything. So, Justin, going upstairs the stairs. Got him. Come right on out. Okay. Up against this wall right here. Okay. Got any weapons on you? >> Okay. You're under arrest. Okay. You have a felony warrant for your arrest. Okay. Okay. Right. Okay. Let me have a seat right here real quick. Okay. Take a seat. Okay. I'm just going to secure the house. Make sure no one's in there going to do anything stupid with us. Come on in. Well, I don't see anything that's uh going to ignite or catch on fire or whatnot. So, let's uh turn his lights off and uh those lights stay on. >> Okay. >> Hey, Justin, >> you understand what's going on here? You have a felony warrant for your arrest. Okay. You failed to comply with the court. Okay. >> Mhm. >> You didn't show up. You skipped out on on a a $5,000 bail bond. >> Okay. For cultivating marijuana and having a prescription drug, okay, that that you weren't supposed to have. Okay. Those are the charge pending against you, right? Okay. All right. You have any keys or anything you want to have with you so you can lock this place up or >> No, it's fine. >> Okay. All right. I just need to unlock. >> All right. Ready? >> Okay. Okay. Come on down. Watch your step. Okay. He's got I think he's got a a cat or something up there. Okay. Why' you run, man? We didn't know where uh where you were living. So, hang tough. Okay. All right. There we go. Okay. Just make sure that they're not going to double lock on you. Okay. Make sure uh turn around here. One and the same. Go ahead and make yourself at home. Don't uh don't don't be doing any damage to my vehicle, okay? Just slide on in there. Slide on all all the way over. This went down really good. You know, this is classic case. You know, uh uh we saw from the street, from our surveillance point and everything, we watched the defendant pull up in this car. He was real cooperative. I got up the top of the stairs and uh came out. This particular individual was 41. He was told, you know, if you don't take care of this, Dumbar's going to come out, he's going to get you. I guess he didn't believe it. What's this guy out for him? >> FTA on the theft charge. >> How much was the bail? >> Uh 5,000. But the warrant that this that he's under right now, he failed to appear off another arraignment. He had two bonds. One for two for five and one for 5,000. The $5,000 bond is still in a place. So the indemator is a little nervous. >> Why was it? Wasn't they ner Why are they nervous? >> Because he's missed on these other two bonds. >> Okay. >> And so he's just a little nervous thinking that this gentleman will not show up in court. >> At this point, since we know where he's at, >> it's good time for us to move on it. >> Okay, perfect. >> I haven't been in the house. That's why, you know, it's still about two blocks down. >> You know, we'll do a walk by or whatnot and get a feel of the house. the admin. Is he cooperating or? >> Yeah, he's cooperating. We'll go ahead and get a little closer. We'll place a call and he'll meet us. >> Okay. >> And uh you know, he can help us map it out. You know, he's been there. He only lives about 5 houses down from the endter. Let's jump out, get a game plan going here. Let me >> just pull over right here. This is good. This is him right here. So, >> let's keep a good look at it. Take a >> look at this. >> Yeah. Let me see that picture. >> Remember to >> Yeah. So, um I'm going to go ahead and give the ender a call right now and make him come outside. The ender come out and talk to us. >> Here's his notice that he failed to go to court. >> Yeah. Victor, how you doing? Hey, we're we're down here on Thistle on 28th. Okay. We're about two blocks from 32nd. Okay. Um do you want to meet us and talk to us or Pardon me? Oh, okay. Okay. We come out to your house and talk to you. Okay. What'd he say? >> Then Darren wants us to go up to his house in 30 second and talk to him and then he'll show us from there. I guess he's about 5 houses down. So, >> okay, good. >> We'll just play it like that. So, let's hurry and get up there. Well, he said he was going to take us down to the house. You know, he asked if we're going to get him right now. I said, "Yeah." You know, he wanted me to ride with him. I told him no. You know, cuz you know, I don't trust anybody out here. And uh goes, "Just go ahead and follow him. He's down on the house. Is it just him by himself?" >> He doesn't know. They said the guy drives a 79 Camaro, I do believe. >> Chris, is this guy a good friend of his defendants? You know, I don't uh I I'm I'm not too sure. Just you know, if this guy what the relation is between these two, >> I believe they're just friends. And >> it looks like he probably worked for him at one time to me. >> I believe from what Henry told me they were friends and then this guy didn't go to court, so now they're not friends. That's about pretty much all I know. >> Right there at >> Okay. You know if he's home right now? >> I don't know. Should be. >> Okay. >> There's a window broke open on this side of the house. >> Uhhuh. Go in through there if you have. >> Which side of the house is it? To the right. >> Reserve lights on there. >> Right. >> Back on this side here. There's a window that broke open. >> Okay. You know what? There's any weapons in the house. >> Might be. >> Might be. >> Gun. Nice. Hey, people's in the house. You know, >> is there any kids? >> No, there's no kids in there. >> We're going to drive by real quick and get a good look at the house. We're going to turn back around. We're going to park, you know, about five houses down and walk up to it. Okay. >> Do you think he'll run? >> I doubt it. >> You doubt it? You think he just give up? There's a back door. Looks like it might be a dog. And um You want to take the back? >> Yeah, I'll take the back. >> You want to take the back? You want to take the back? >> I'll take the back. >> Okay. There's also a broken window to the right of the house as you walk up the driveway. >> Okay. >> So, if they don't open the door, we can either boot the front door or else go through the broken window. Just just tear down the uh plyboard. >> Okay. So if there's, you know, there's supposedly there's the no kids, you got a Mexican uh gentleman, and then we got our defendant, and maybe one more guy. >> Okay. >> So, let's just hit the house really quick. Watch the back and then >> you guys holler as soon as you get entry. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Keep down low in front of the window. Go ahead and knock. I'll stand right here. You got people in the front. >> Open your door. Open your door. Open the door. Open the door. I got a warrant for your arrest. Open the door. Michael, you need to open your door. Got a warrant for your arrest. >> Keep away from the door. >> Open the door. You can't believe I got someone's inside for a bit. >> Open the door. Try it one more time. You already knew that. Yeah, he's put he's put something real thick against the door. >> Come out. Come out. Open the door. >> Open the door. >> Come on. You're going to get shot if you don't. >> Open the door. Come on. Stay away from that window. I can't see from behind. >> Where's Steve at? Steve, >> stop it. >> Open the door. >> We got the bounty hunters here. >> Come in. >> Open the door. >> They can't come in. >> Well, we're going to come in. Got the right to come in your house. >> No, they don't. >> Come out. Come out. Grab it. Come out. You know what? >> Stop it. >> Come out. >> Come out. Come out. >> Here. Jump in. [panting] >> Here. I'm going to put you up inside. >> Open the door. >> Open the door. Yes, sir. >> Stand back. Come out. Come out. >> Where's Micah at? Where? >> Put your hands on top of your head. Where's Mike at? >> Yes, sir. >> Okay. You got You going to wipe this on you? >> No. No, sir. No, sir. >> Your hands up. >> Yes, sir. >> Stop walking out. >> Mike, come out with your hands up. >> Where's Steve? Have Steve clear. >> Mike, you clear? Watch that back against your [panting] What? >> Where's Steve? >> Yeah. >> Morgan. >> He's hiding. >> Hey, Mike. >> Come out. >> Yeah. >> Hey, Mike. You might give up cuz they got you. >> Watch this door. >> Hey, give up. Yo, you >> might as well come on in. He's in here somewhere. >> He's upstairs. >> He's got this door locked. >> Wait. He's up here. He's in the door here, man. He's upstairs [panting] [clears throat] window. >> Move. Open the door. Kick it. Okay. Wait. >> Bring him down. Hey, Mike. Come on. Give up. You got more than your place. You can't do a about it. You make a bet for yourself, Mike. Come on. Just give up. [sighs] I'm trying to get the down. You wouldn't come with me. >> No, he just ran. I heard him. >> Open the door, Michael. I'm going to kick this one, too. What's behind this door, man? Up there. >> So, he's holding the top one. [panting] See, now I don't know if he has a gun on the other side of this. Stay back in the door. >> You don't and I don't either. >> Kick it in. >> Window. >> Mike, off the door. Damn. Walk off. Walk off. That's not going to come off. >> Stop for a minute. >> Open the DOOR NOW. OPEN IT. >> OPEN IT. >> Open it. >> Stop. >> Open it. >> Open it. >> Mike, you got You got 5 seconds to open the door. >> Open the door. >> Jason, stay in your sight. >> Stop. >> Open the door.
