uh when you get there there was the one window which was broken and then uh clearly there is that others that was a sign of there is someone inside hey so what we did is uh i took off the sack of the suspect and his hand was sticking out and he was dripping blood onto the floor [Music] so we had a break in one of our complexes the client reported it to us and what we do is we normally go out to the site and we do uh investigation to see how they got into the complex i've just done a u-turn the guys have pushed through the panasonic fence they've headed up to goodkoppen [Music] i let my brothers know that the suspects were running downstairs on their way to vidcorpen if they could try and cut them off from the corp in summer [Music] so [Music] [Music] oh [Music] good morning guys nah you know what i love my sleep too much on a weekend i like to sleep in late and you know it's it can be difficult to get out of them out of out of bed you have a good sleep yeah of course we're going to them we've got a very close family yeah my dad's uh actually from germany but he's been here for i mean over 40 years you know what temperatures outside it's freezing well jackie is my sister and she's uh she's married to jp so he's not just he's not just my boss he's also my brother-in-law hence why there's a lot of old photos of him around the house like all the other guys you know i need to you've got to have a hobby something that you can escape with diving is definitely that hobby for me diving is one of those things you know again it takes takes one one off you know the crime and all the all the trouble that's around and i get to jump in the pool a little bit so what we'll be doing basically today in the pool session is that i'm just going over some practice so a lot of the guys know that um actually i'm actually training to to become a scuba instructor you know dealing with crime every day it's very stressful and very hectic even dealing with your gods and that kind of stuff you're on call 24 7. what's nice is that diving kind of under the water um no one can even say anything you know it's it's quiet it's serene okay so we've just arrived in my diving school they uh they paddy darf school and so let's get going [Applause] as you can see here this is basically the teaching classroom club master teaching stuff is on the on the board there some of the guys are going through the dark masters at the moment we're going to be doing some of that stuff in the pool as well i don't quite enjoy the teaching side of things it's uh it's quite enjoyable okay let's run through some hand signals that means okay i mean stop uh going up going down you have a problem show me where the problem is and you want to go up one of the things is that i was always you know i was a diver i was one of the youngest divers ever and at the time um i started when i was about 13 and at the time i think i was the youngest in the world first of all we've got your cylinder all right the high pressure hose will go into yeah and you can inflate and deflate okay well i dive with one of the paddy schools and um i really like that you know the guys are very chilled it's very family orientated environment everyone's there to you know have a good time okay ready to go when you're underwater it's uh it's a completely different world it kind of floats around which is a really great feeling also you know no one's kind of no one can talk underwater you know it's just kind of a serene environment and it really it's really relaxing and you become relaxed under the water and a completely different world opens up joannasburg is one of the most prosperous cities in africa and lots of illegal immigrants find their way here in hope of finding jobs or money hello and unfortunately amongst these immigrants we have the bad apples jp has got this information that we meet from time to time he comes up with some really useful information that we use i was tipped off by my informer that in amongst the illegal immigrants is a gang operating um although there's lots of people just regular people living in here this is the criminals that aren't amongst them yeah we went into the township where we're supposed to meet this guy he we went to the cul-de-sac where we're supposed to meet him and we waited about 20 minutes and no one showed up perhaps he was scared of our night guard vehicles quite often that these informers get cold feet or they get threatened by some people or they kind of just feel intimidated that stretches all the way down into the valley and onto the onto the office box there you know driving through these areas you know it's if anything it's eye-opener pretty irritated with this guy he's taken away time out of my life that i'm not going to get back again really a waste of an afternoon yesterday zayn and i were in car sands we went to meet the informer um you didn't rock up so i'm gonna find this guy now and see where he is and what the problem is yes how's it brew where you but yesterday we come to meet you you didn't uh you didn't come what's going on buddy i phoned the informer the next day uh this fool's all apologetic uh and uh so i'm pretty stop with him so his story is that some of the gangsters were actually there in the township at this specific point in time what you scared of you know me you know we're not you know we're not uh we're not yet to play games and he couldn't see uh be seen talking to us because he would land up there the next day we're there where are you showing me last time this guy's still too scared to meet with me scared for his life but he gave me as much information as he could over the telephone how many guys they got guns guns guns do they have guns jp's informant told them that there's a gang in the foyer's area he got tipped off that they're looking and surveilling places to rob so what we did is we planned a pre-operation so with the police to stop these guys before they can even suss out the joint or before they can actually rob the place [Music] [Applause] [Music] we're on our way to police station we got a joint cooperation with with sepps south african police services um we got a tipple from one of our informants that there's going to be a robbery going down um so we're going to make a move on these guys before they even think about robbing the warehouses zane's already on his way there i want you guys to back him up you know what he's going to do he's going to go crazy he's going to be the first one out please look after princess of here focus i don't want any funny falling over and tills and [ __ ] like that okay just do what you're going there to do okay i want to be in the control room i'm going to be watching your every move so listen carefully listen what i tell you i'll tell you where you are on the map and i'll tell you where you should be listen carefully keep your ears open keep your radios on okay let's get serious get the cardia i sent my team through to meet at saps headquarters they had a briefing at the station uh first of all they have a parade and then they plan the strategy it's such a pleasure working with such professional police so i mean if i think the bottom the bottom section we're gonna need about two or three vehicles so we're gonna have to dedicate the whole team to the bottom there i mean maybe maybe between night but because you guys would maybe park something your vehicle then we pop our vehicles this side we met at the saps station we had a briefing with the the crime team we were working with so i kind of gave him a brief on on what the situation was and how i think we should have moved in you know i kind of briefed them on what the information was and what different scenarios could play out and how we could tackle those scenarios we just had our briefing with the with the police um we're just rolling to the to the location where our information the suspects are going to be it's important for us to split the team up and get a good coverage on the ground because as soon as we roll up there they're going to run so we're going to be heading straight down the main road javit kopin and the rest of the team will be heading down cedar so let's see what happens uh juliet papa juliet papa come in for zulu one ah zulu one zulu one zoom one for charlie one zulu one listen we rolling with the cops we on our way to the location where your informant gave you the information um what i need you to do is make sure the team is split up properly for them to come around take william nickel past monty casino and head to to cedar that way everything for this mission was coordinated from the new control room and then meet it meet at corner cedar and boulevard yeah confirm my midpoint midpoint [Music] yeah the situation is uh it's quite nerve-wracking uh not sure what's going to happen but it's just another day in the life of the night god team you know and roll the punches and come out on top i've got visual of the suspects they're standing right there on the street corner man i've got vision on the suspects watch your location i'm behind you bro with your game night you can go not let's tackle these guys [Music] when we got to the scene all the guys were huddled up and they were having a chat i'm not quite sure what they were chatting about but as they looked up and they saw us they scattered the pull down they saw us coming from the top of the hill uh by the time we got there they all started uh sprinting uh running through the palace center by uh cedar square so we just all got our cars started riding after these guys and trying to get as many of them as we could [Music] when i jumped on my vehicle and ran off to one i managed to grab him through the pedestal thank you squishy thanks to our new state-of-the-art control room dave and jp could see exactly where all our units were by communicating with all the units and seeing visit visibly on the screen where we were positioned and they could start strategizing on how to close these suspects down talk to me listen the suspects have fled the scene on two on two cedar road looks like they're heading down towards bitcoin we're giving chase we've jumped in our vehicles we need assistance as soon as possible mark one please take saps back up to zulu one's vehicle i've just done cedar on their way to vidcorpen if they could try and cut them off from vodkopen somehow um it just becomes mayhem it's kind of like a controlled chaos um guys getting arrested running away you know cars getting tackled and thrown into the back of the the police fans you know so it's quite an intense thing please can you give me a description of the suspect and then we proceeded down with corpen where we picked up the last of the guys and then two guys started sprinting they started sprinting i just i didn't think uh for one second i just started chasing after them it was two of them and one of me so it was i was outnumbered but i was catching the next thing i knew really was right past me did a handbrake turn in front of these oaks and we've got both of them you know the scary thing for me was that we're just up the road and we're we're arresting suspects and and going after would-be house robbers and all that kind of stuff and then i kind of realized that man this is right next door to where i live and and i realized how important these operations we do and i realize how important my job is okay well done guys we've got 19 suspects in custody escort the van back to the station let's book these guys in we're all headed back to the police station so we can book book all these guys it's going to be a lot of paperwork but it has to be done it's you know what it's always a good feeling like when you're at the police station you know and you're unloading the cars so it's a really good feeling to to you know fill that police you know truck up and to see some results in situations like this we take great pride in working with other security companies um you know it's all for the benefit of the community at the end of the day so you know in situations like this strength in numbers always works it was vital that me and dave were in the control room together you know dave started out in the control room and he's one of the best at getting the message through to the troops so this time dave wasn't part of the tactical team wow this is the best operation he was inside the control room i had a phenomenal team in that control room and the instructions got out quick and fast and the coordination was fantastic hey baby my family has a game form it's up in the waterbury mountains it's an awesome place i mean we've had it for close on to nine years now it's just basically for family and i mean we go there oh try get there once a month if possible but with our schedules and that it sounds crazy this is a very stressful industry so it's it's very important that we get away to a place where there's total relaxation and when you're in the middle of the bush it's just total total relaxation this is uh it says it doesn't actually flick this one's this is i like this one and i like this one with the food on it jp loves collecting knives he's got a hell of a collection of knives we're going to start also collecting guns now because we've all done our sports shooting and we're going to start our i wanna wardrobe full of different types of firearms because it's my obvious month it's my life i'm always skating again [Music] look we still take phone calls but at least we're not dealing with the situation on the ground the rest of our team is doing it [Music] we're basically on the way to one of our complexes and where there's been an attempted robbery the attempted probably happened yesterday i think it was and we're going through to investigate and have a look at um you know see if we can find any entry points any evidence of the guys coming through over the fence that kind of a thing unfortunately when it's an attempt you know usually there's no breaking or anything like that so it's often very difficult to find any evidence on cars even shoe prints sometimes you won't find anything and so what i'm going to do is do a check of the perimeter i speak to a couple of the residents and you know there's always three stories the one that gets reported the one that somebody else has to someone else tells us and then the truth but try and get closer to the truth and as much information as possible so we had a break in one of our complexes the client reported it to us and what we do is we normally go out to the site and we do a investigation to see how they got into the complex okay so as you can see yeah at the back i think it's highly unlikely they came through so on site we saw that the electric fence was up there was no electric fence reports being done uh reaction was called to the scene uh reactions didn't see anything so what we did is we just tried to find out if these guys did come into the complex and how they would have got into the complex okay let me just go look from the bottom there's a little drainage area in the complex in the corner of the complex we went in there as there was a grid over it so we're like this could be an entry point if they have to lift this but there's a tunnel right there so this is cool and then get my torchy he lifted the grid and he went down there and he looked he climbed down and he looked at the gopro [Music] and he saw that there is light at the end of the tunnel so uh that could have been a way into it i can see that this tunnel system goes just behind the wall this is a stormwater drain so what these guys do is they use the storm water drains to get into complexes so we're going to go check where this formula to drain it is and see if it's been tampered with get into the sewer system and see what we can see i honestly don't think it had anything to do with the tunnels because that grid was dan's a strong guy and he struggled to get that grid off so it's not like anyone could just come and push that girl off so that's i didn't think it was that i just think it might be an inside job or like a gardener or domestic just taking taking chances because the unit actually didn't get robbed the the client just reported that there's someone in his yard so he saw footsteps and stuff so we just have to see why this because that's probably someone looking at the clock looking at the unit seeing what he can take and stuff the thing is what's concerning me the most is why would he come through the storm drain there's two houses on either side of the drain but he'll go right past those two houses and go straight to uh the complex of the house in the inside the complex that's the furthest away it just doesn't make sense to me we did take a drive around the opposite side as well to check the fences there and there were some areas where the fence is quite close to the house and there's a you know there might be a slight possibility that the guys could jump over the fence and get onto the wall but again there was no evidence to suggest that that happened just be careful jumping over there jenna just be careful jumping over the zanna okay we looked if we could see anything uh there but all the drains all the mana holes were covered you could see there was no recent activity so we don't know how these people got into that if they got into the complex scott zanya has it sorry to trouble you again man listen i went through i've got my whole team yeah we've gone through this complex with a fine tooth comb there's no way someone came over the fence not with a new system you guys have put in and all that kind of stuff as zane called the client the client informs then that there's a property that's abandoned on the in the complex so what we did is we went to the complexes at that property just to see if someone could have got in through there or if someone's inside there normally what happens is when these vacant houses in these complexes obviously residents can't find tenants to fulfill the house criminals catch wind of this and they they might not live in the house but on the escape route they design the escape to go into the house and then wait for the heat to die down and then escape from the complex so we picked up on this mo so what we do is when we come to our complexes we always check the vacant lots i went through to the to the empty house and we you know just had a look around there when trev jumped the wall um he managed to set the alarm off i jumped on the wall and i looked over into the yard and as i looked over there was a beam that crossed the top of the wall so if someone does jump over the wall and the alarm went off straight away so we know definitely that the tutors didn't come from that property because there was beams all around that house no that's perfect where's the beams today i know it's very easy to send a patrol car you know to check it out and uh we can just sit back and uh you know relax a little bit but it's not kind of what we do we we're very hands-on get involved and make sure that you know that we know what's going on as well as the client [Music] it's always nice to go on a game drive the first evening you'll get to the farm just to see what's new and what's happening on the farm we never know when there's a new baby or which animals are doing well so it's great to see the one animal you can count on scene every single time you do a game drive is an elant her name is ella she was rescued from a parcel of elante reports the mother gave fall and left her behind so we hand raised her and now she's part of the family the only problem is she doesn't think she's an ellen she thinks she's a human ella does not like to let us go out of her sights even when we go on game drive she's behind the game here she struts along even if we're going to half an hour game our game job she's still behind us she can even do she'll do up to like 50 guys behind us just following us the whole time [Music] bring me one more when it comes to cooking at the farm me and zayn gets stuck into it because we know i love cooking zayn loves cooking so at the end of the day everybody's going to get a good job jp always sits on the couch relaxes my dad chills out now we like to let my mom chill out also because she used to do all the cooking now that me and zayn have taken over she she can chill and relax well don't you get called buddy guys come dinner's ready zayn normally does most of the cooking he's not yet tonight somebody's taking care of that this evening thank my dad is the same guy that he was when we were kids i can see the same qualities and the same stories and lessons that he teaches my two children and zion's two children stories about what to look out for the dangers of life how to live your life and i think it's these stern qualities that brought us up to be who we are today what time is zayn coming down tomorrow my dad was a little irritated because he likes that when the family goes away that we all go away together and not one person stays in joburg but he gets irritated my dad likes family he likes us all to be together the whole time that's why we're we're a strong bond so theoretically he packs his car and then he gets in the [ __ ] gets in his car 12 o'clock comes out yeah and sends the driver to we're on our way to call out in one of the the gaza there it is made contact with him and he said there's uh some guys breaking into his shed in his urgent backup so we're on our way there it's in a quite dodgy area in kalami so let's see what we can do a guy lives on a property out in the middle of nowhere so it is quite a vulnerable spot for him there is a township right across the road he's got electric fences yeah we arrived and then trevor and i went to the other side of the building and then zayn went to speak to the clients yeah i think the the client did a good thing uh he is he is a tough guy uh as you know from he's our client he has his own gun for him not to take the action into his own hands was actually quite a good thing he did the you did the right thing you pressed his panic you waited for us to arrive he kept his eyes under a suspect the sheep's behind yeah me and trevor we we go we went on the on or to the other side and then got each other's back covering each other and then until we get to the backseat here so okay uh when you get there there was the one an old suspect and he cut his hands open and he was bleeding and stuff and i'll tell him to no don't move don't move who you are with and he wasn't responding to me so i just i didn't know what was what are you thinking or what he was going to do it was kind of scary i don't know [Music] is yeah when he ran away we chased him through the driveway which is 150 meters uh just next to the property of the of our client there is a location and then so that guy he ran through the location then so we had no other option but to follow him that should be so get out of here yeah these people wake up and be so serious i i and zayn we followed him and then um he thought that because of now he's running into into the location now we we're gonna lose him and then so okay stay close yes you know what's happening now you're under arrest for breaking and entering do you understand i understand we [Music] brother can we stay close uh i waited with the suspect the ambulance arrived and then we put the suspect inside the ambulance they nursed these wounds and after after the ambulance went the client showed me where the township was we i didn't go in by myself because i didn't know where zayn and dave were so i stayed in the in the car with the client the next thing i saw was zayn and dave bringing the suspect to the car so well done boys yeah at the end of the day and the other guy he had himself and then the one the other one ran away but he couldn't make it because we always win wherever we go do you understand
