Sun is kicking my behind. Jesus. Okay, sorry. This If I'm squinting like this, it's the sun is in my eye right now, but this is the best I can I need to be able to see see the phone, so okay. I'm just going to catch y'all up on what's been going on in Texas so far, how everything is going, who I got to see. Woo, these doggone kids upstairs have kept us up, so sorry for yawning. All right. So, I'm in Texas, obviously, based on the title. So, I went to Texas for my nephew-in-law's wedding. Hey, Janella. And so, uh so, I don't forget, I took notes cuz I'm like, by the time I get back, I'm going to forget what happened on this trip. So, first day we got here, the trip was pretty smooth, no flight delays, none of that. Hey, Jacqueline. Um we got our rental car pretty easily. I think the That was one of the first things is that when we got to Enterprise, they offered us different cars, and I was like, this which one's good on gas? And so, he he showed us the one that's good on gas. Then, he tried to get Mr. Trenton to upgrade to the wagoner, and I'm like, didn't I just ask which one was good on gas? So, obviously, we don't want the wagoner. He's talking about, it's it's only an extra $49 per day. If If you don't get out of my face. Have you not seen gas prices? And then we No, we're not paying an extra $49 a day to stunt. Like, we're good. Just give us our little crossover, and we'll be fine. Hey, Crystal. Good morning. So, we got our little crossover, little Hyundai something or other. So, we got that. Uh I think it's Oh, check-in was supposed to be at 3:00 p.m. When he When Mr. Trennon called, they were like, "Yeah, um if you try to do early check-in, it's going to be an extra $40." So, I was like, "We're just going to get there and try to sweet-talk somebody because ain't no way." So, we got here. Wait, did we eat first? No, we we got here first. We got here first, and then he went to the front desk and asked if we could do early check-in. She was like, "Sure, no problem." And so, we got in our room like at 11:00 something versus 3:00 something. So, we got in the room. Thank the Lord we didn't have to wait till 3:00 p.m. Put all our stuff down, and then we went to cuz we got to go to three places, three fast food places when we visit Texas. We have to go to If you're not from Texas or the areas that have this restaurant, it looks like Whataburger, we say Whataburger. So, we went We had to go to Whataburger. I also want to go to Jack in the Box cuz Jack in the Box is not in the region that we live in now. Um so, we found Jack in the Box, of course, but they don't have the bacon potato cheddar wedges, so I don't care now. Now, I Jack in the Box is no use to me. Well, it's seasonal, so it's not here right now from what I understand. I still want to go up to the intercom and just ask them though just to be sure. And then Braum's is a ice cream place and it's also a burger place. You have to have a Braum's burger if you come to Texas. You have to. So, oh, and the cherry limeade. Sonic does cherry limeades and Braum's does cherry limeades, and I'll pick Braum's first any day over Sonic. Um Day two, we get ready for breakfast with my in-laws. Uh we went to a place called First Watch. I had heard of them. It was our first time It was first time going for me. So, we went to a place called First Watch. Um Breakfast was beautiful. It was very pretty, and it tasted as good as it looked, so that was good. They had something called a million-dollar bacon and it was glazed with some kind of syrup. It had black pepper and some other stuff on it, and it looked fancy based on um the other bacon, but both were good. So, I did like that. The waitress was very, very nice. Um so, yeah, just no complaints. Enjoyed the company. Uh so, I got Who was there? My sister-in-law, her husband was there. Oh, my nieces my niece uh my niece-in-law was there. Who else was at First Watch? Uh-huh. Yep. Yep. Yep. Oh, yep. Okay, so my mother-in-law. That was the other one I was missing. My mother-in-law was there as well. So, we enjoyed that. Then we had to It took a while cuz we sat there running our mouths. So, now we put ourselves into a little bit of a we had to rush back to get ready for the wedding. We would have had plenty of time cuz the actual ceremony didn't start till 4:30, so you know, you probably get there about 4:00, be fine. But Mr. Trenin's niece used to be uh or she was going to be the flower girl. She's 20-something. But she was going to be the flower girl. But a bridesmaid fell out, so she had to then replace the bridesmaid, leaving an opening for the flower person. Mr. Trenin became the flower man. So, he had to be there for practice at 1:30, which [clears throat] made us have to rush to get ready. Um hey Cece. Hey Mama V. How are y'all? Good morning. Uh so, that sped up my timeline, so I was going I didn't bring any complicated makeup anyway, but I was even more happy. I had planned on doing simple makeup, so I just did blush. I did my lips. And I did Melodies of bronze shimmer that she sells. I had my little little sable hair or whatever, I don't know. That brush is so soft, but I had my little brush. I did my shoulders. And Mr. Trennon kept saying, he was like, "Damn, your shoulders glistening." He kept saying I was like, "Seven out of 10." Shoulders glistening from before the wedding, during the wedding, after the wedding, until we got home or to our hotel. So, yeah, it it looked nice. I couldn't see it as much cuz it's my own shoulders, but I know when it was hitting that sun, it was very nice looking. Hey wild cows. Hey Gina. Happy Monday. >> [laughter] >> Um so, I got a lot of compliments on my dress that I ended up choosing. And if you're in Patreon or the YouTube members, you saw my two choices. I chose the second one that I wore, but it did turn out to look very nice for that setting. Um cuz the first choice had a hot shoulders just out. It was all shoulders and it it was a very flowy dress. Like, it was I loved it. It was perfect. It was exactly what I needed. I needed to be comfortable, but I still needed it to look appropriate for a wedding. Um and I did really good on etiquette for dressing for a wedding versus, you know, cuz it's I was very happy, but yeah. So, uh pictures will come out with those. Members have already seen a picture, but I'll put out some pictures with that. You'll also get to see a short video of Mr. Trennon being the flower man. Um what else happened? Last minute, they tell me, "Hey, they don't have anybody recording the wedding. They have a photographer, but they didn't have a videographer." And and Mr. Trennon is like, "Can you record the key moments?" Um so, I was like, "Why did they pick me? I have attention issues, but I I'm going to do my best." Then to make it more awkward, no one briefs the wedding planner that they [clears throat] have asked a bystander a guest to record it with video. So, I'll sit there I'm ready I'm like okay I've got my stuff. Phones out. I got Mr. Trenches phone and my phone in case one of us runs out of space. All of a sudden I didn't know he was a DJ at the time but this man comes out and loudly says >> [laughter] >> Where are my skin I'm not dealing with you Jay hey friend. >> [laughter] >> Hey always TTW. But no so he loudly says Nobody the bride has made it very clear nobody have your phones out. Like please let Mr. Trenches have told me that it was signed off by the bride and groom that I could have my phone out to record. Hey BRB yes all this cute Texas at some at some point. I love it. Hey BRB hey Omeazy. >> [laughter] >> So I run to the DJ that I didn't know was a DJ at first but I ran to him I was like hey I was told I need to record cuz they don't have anybody recording you know the actual video part. And he was like you got to tell the wedding planners I was just told to announce it. I run to the wedding planners I'm like hey the bride and the groom said I they asked for me to record because y'all don't have anyone actually doing He was sure okay. So that I'm still worried the whole time. So they're about to open the doors. Oh the harpist is playing and I did post the harpist warming up in my stories on Instagram. Yes he was a flower boy Jay he really really was. He did it he was so excited. Oh I'm pausing. Oh Dang it Jacqueline. Okay I already know it's the internet here it's the worst. Tell me if this is even worth it for me to go on or should I just save my notes for when I get back? Because if it's so horrible, it's too distracting, I'll stop cuz I I I know how bad that can be. The internet here is Oh, it's making me so bad. Let me know how bad is it? Go ahead and stop, do this later bad, or just know I'm breaking up bad. And Alex, and we got uh FIFA down here right now in Dallas, well, DFW area. I was going to get to that, too. Okay. I FIFA down here. I didn't go, but my I'll Well, I'll wait. I'm going to go and order some when I forget, but just wanted to acknowledge I saw your comment, though. Um okay. All right, thank you, CC. Thank you, Janetta. Okay. All right, thank y'all. All right, so I was talking about Oh, so doors double doors open, got the harpist playing her stuff. Come to find out the walk the song that the bride is walking down to is a Zelda song. So, for my people that like to play games, I didn't get to I didn't get into Zelda, but because I like games, I still know of Zelda, and I know some of the um songs, I guess. I wanted to call it another word, but Mr. Trenna, he grew up with Zelda, so he was like, "Oh my god." Mind blown. So, I was like, "Oh my god, this is so cute. She's going to come down to the Zelda's one of the Zelda songs." I'm like, "Oh my out." I'm like, "This is so cute." So, that's how I found out she's a gamer, the bride's a gamer. Awesome. Um so, who can who Oh, mother of the bride comes out first. mother-in-law And then mother of the groom, which would be my sister-in-law, walks down the aisle next. I'm I'm holding it up. In fact, I came emotionless to this just so But it's it's not like I'm seeing I don't know, my brother or somebody getting mad. I was neutral. I was dry-eyed. Then, I think who comes out next? Mr. Trini comes out next doing his little flower thing. And he does a mini troll. He kept it together cuz I He usually shows out, but he kept it together. Um and he he comes close to my camera making sure he puts like flowers by me. I'm like, "Get Get going somewhere." So, he comes out, does his thing, sits down. Then, of course, it's the bride's turn. Let me tell you, she got three steps out of those double doors. And she bawling. Her dad's walking her down the aisle. Would I tell you not walk down the aisle anymore? So, her dad's trying to comfort her. Uh-oh, it's telling me transmission is unstable, weak network connection. Oh, Lord. Keep checking in with me, y'all. Tell me how if the quality's going worse and worse. Like, we're just Pause, Trini. You don't have to do this right now. Cuz it now it just put up a symbol for me. Um but she's bawling. My waterworks start cuz now she's got her dad walking with her. Her dad is almost 90. Not exaggerating. She's literally He's literally almost 90. He's eight He's in the high 80s. Come to find out, he told her, "I just want to live long enough to walk you down the aisle." So, she's bawling. I started bawling. I'm fuzzy. King, is the audio still okay? Um but yeah, she's bawling. I start I'm crying trying to cry quietly and record. So, now I'm sniffling. I can't help the sniffling part. So, I don't even know if you can hear music anymore. I don't know if later y'all they can hear them reading their vows to each other because all I'm doing is >> [snorts] >> I'm just doing that the whole time. I didn't expect to cry. I have no tissue. I'm just trying to make it through. At least they'll have video. I I already warned them. I don't know what kind of audio y'all are about to have, but she got me crying. He finally gets her down the aisle to hand her over to my nephew-in-law. She bawls again. She's And And then they're miked up, so you can hear him comforting her. He's rubbing her arms, trying to soothe her. And I'm like, I'm not going to make it. And I don't even know her. I just met her. She's so sweet, but I don't know her. Like, this is a lot for me to be crying is bad. And then Okay, so they do their vows. I'm still sniffling like crazy. The groom's dad, my nephew-in-law's dad is the one that ends up being able to officiate. And he was like, he really studied and practiced for it. He was tired on the drive down just from cuz he had been practicing so much, cuz he wanted to do right by his son. So, he's officiating, so sweet. Um What else? So, they read their vows. I'm trying to get myself together. I got all the footage. Got that part. The ceremony ends. Wait for the bride to walk back down the aisle. The bride and the groom walk back down the aisle. Um then we get to go to the cocktail part of it. I just want I wanted to sit down. I didn't want no bar stool. I wanted to sit down so bad, but I did ask the bartender to make me a sweet cocktail. I don't know what he called it, but it was or mocktail. And it was great. So, everybody's getting their drinks and stuff. We finally get to sit down. Let me tell y'all about the bouquet, cuz I didn't make a note about it, but I think Ashley J said, "Catch the bouquet to bring it so we can come to y'all's vow renewal." I did not catch the bouquet. A bouquet was not thrown. The bouquet was handed to um the bridesmaid, which was her best friend. So, probably maid of honor, honestly. But, she handed the bride handed the bouquet to her maid of honor. So, there was no throwing of a bouquet, so nobody had to show out about trying to catch a bouquet. We didn't have one of those moments. Hey Cashy doll. BRB said audio's good but the stream seems to be struggling with the bandwidth. It pauses, skips, then gets fuzzy, gets better and repeats. Okay. If audio stays good, I'mma soldier through this but if at any point it's so bad, my regulars, y'all already know, just tell me and we'll pick up later. Thank you Troy. I definitely appreciate that. It's my first time getting this style so thank you very much. >> [laughter] >> Um so we sit down. I think I'm good. No more crying is happening. >> [clears throat] >> I don't know if it's when the dad does a toast or if when they do their father-daughter dance, somewhere in there I broke down again and I couldn't stop. I'm just crying into my napkin. It's so bad to the point that Mr. Trini thinks I'm sad and he's like, "Do you want a ceremony?" Cuz I could try We could make it happen if you want a ceremony. I'm like, "No. It's not about the ceremony and I'm not sad." But I'm sitting there balling my eyes out so he was he was like just trying to figure out what is going on cuz he didn't expect me to be emotional because this isn't my This isn't like that, you know? So it was just I got emotional though. But I'm sensitive so I shouldn't have been surprised that I started crying once I saw people crying but other things I can get through without crying. So I don't know. Uh what else happened? They did their toast. There's some stuff I want to tell y'all but I would be telling too much business so I'mma skip over that but just know while I'm pausing, I'm trying to skip over the stuff that I don't need to be just It ain't my business to tell. Everything was very sweet. The bride's dress was very pretty. I didn't talk about her dress so I just want you I don't even want to call it a roosh but it was something that gave it like the bustle look almost in the back but it wasn't quite bustle. Whatever it was, it was very, very pretty how she had it bushed in the back. Um she had like a nice little necklace on. And I kind of thought it was cool that she still wore her glasses, too, because I I have not seen a lot of brides wear their glasses, so. Um yeah. Let me see, what else? Thank you, Kim. Yes. No, these are not the Dr. Jackie glasses. She gets no credit for this. These are Alpha Buzz glasses from Wicked. I No, Dr. Jackie did piss me off too much with that um talking about, you know what she did about women that were pregnant, so no, no, no. It's not Dr. Jackie glasses. Only for that reason. Told y'all about breaking down. The food was good. Uh Mr. Turney had the ricotta slices. Um Okay. Then after the wedding, we got to see everybody again, talk again. The bride and groom were having to obviously take a lot of pictures, so we just was Oh, the DJ. He wanted everybody to come to the dance floor to do a Soul Train line. I said, "Absolutely not." Mr. Turney looked at me, he said, "I am not doing it." I was like, "I'm not either." Not a Soul Train line. Now, if you just started playing songs and I like the song, I'll go to the dance floor. But I don't want to do I couldn't I I I I It would be very rare that I would see myself doing a Soul Train line from now until I die. I have done one in the past, but I'm just like, this don't mm-mm, I can't. I was like, my nerves are bad. I don't want to do this. It's too much pressure. I'm not doing it. Now, they had fun, they were goofy. Obviously, it's not real pressure, but it was too much for me. So. Um You remember when I got them, Paulette? Yep. Oh, BRB said you sound very happy and proud. Thank Yeah, I am. I am. And when need when I tell y'all the way that the bride and groom looked at each other, what they said to each other, they For Oh, let me tell you this, too. They did not um get married Oh, I'm sorry. They got married a year ago. So, this ceremony didn't happen until a year from after they got married. So, they had already legally been married for a year, which I was actually admire that they did that. They had their private thing, and then we had the ceremony and stuff to celebrate them. I thought that was really nice. Thank you, Leah's grandma. Yeah, that green surprised me. I was so happy with it. And I don't know if I told y'all, but their colors were sage and brown. Sage green and brown. Um yeah. So, hold on. I don't know if I can do this from here. I can't. Okay. So, um what else? Getting back to after the ceremony, they did the art We ate and all that stuff. They did the dance floor and all that. I was not having it. We got Mr. Tren and I went and took our own pictures, so y'all will see We took pictures of my mother-in-law. I took pictures of my niece-in-law. She Oh my gosh, she is so pretty to me. His family is a good-looking family, too, though, so I'm not surprised, but I hadn't seen her since she kind of became an adult. I was always seeing them as prepubescent for most of them. Then the oldest, I saw him as an adult, but I wasn't really seeing the groom, the younger brother, didn't really get to see him as an adult, so that was like it was just a shock. Then all my uh other niece and nephews-in-law, I'm like, y'all are growing up too fast. We got one that has graduated, one that's graduating next year. I'm like, oh my god, the babies The babies are growing up. So, yeah, but it was very nice to see them. So, then Mr. Tren and I left. I think that's when we ended up going to Did we go to Whataburger again? I think I went to Braum's. Was that wedding day? I think I went to Braum's uh later on that night. Uh so, yeah. So, I went to Braum's, had my burger from there. I always, like I said, always have to go to Braum's. If you're in Texas, please tell me you understand about you have to go to Braum's and Whataburger. Uh so, we did that. I would like to say we had a good night. We did not. I want everybody in this room above us right now to have hangnails they can never get rid of because the way that they're stomping from day until night and then the intensity just keeps escalating. I want them to never heal from their hangnails. Like, that's the best I can say without getting more violent, but they I was raging out. It was It's so bad. Um Let me see. Thank you, Cece. Yeah, I know. I'm just I'm trying my best to ignore them, but I do appreciate it. It's Unfortunately, we're in the wild wild west when they put you in a vertical live, it happens and it sucks. Um So, now we're on day Oh, no. Day three was the day after wedding day. I got to see my dad and I got to see my little brother. I call him my little brother, but that man is grown. He is 36 years old. But, I got to see my little brother. Um of course, to me, they both looked as handsome as ever. We got pictures. I will post those at some point. Uh my little brother was telling me that Okay, so, he's a part-time bar bartender and then he has a traditional job, too. And he was offered a position as a private bartender from one of these comedians in Texas, but he ended I'm I'm so surprised, but he ended up turning it down. But, he turned it down for a good long-term reason. One, he can always do it. He can always do that. That's no matter what. But, his current job is offering to pay for him to get his degree and they'll pay 80% of it. And he wants to get it and he did not always show an interest in school, so I'm very very happy to see that he's like, "No, this is valuable. I want to do this." So, I'm I'm happy for him. So, he's going to go get his degree with his job paying 80% of it. So, I'm proud of him for that. He's goofy as ever. I had my little contacts in uh yesterday, the ones that I I They're dark, but they make your eyes bigger. He was like, "Are you high?" >> [laughter] >> I was like, "No, I'm not high." And because he used to get in trouble a lot when we were younger, he told Papa Trend, and he was like, "We need to go to CVS." And I already knew what he meant by that. He wanted me to get a drug test because my dad used to make him take a drug test and make sure he wasn't doing nothing crazy. I was like, "I see you. I see you." I was like, "No, I'm not taking anything. It's my contacts." Um So, I got to sit down and eat with my brother, but we did get to sit down with my dad. And that's when my dad was telling me FIFA was here in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. My dad was like, "If you can, do not drive through Arlington, Texas because you won't get out of there anytime soon." I was like, "I don't think we have a reason to go through there, but thank you for the warning cuz I'm not doing it." Um Then on the sadder, more serious note, I'm not going to stay on here long cuz I'm supposed to do a YouTube thing about it anyway, but my dad was asking me did I know about the Carmelo Anthony case and because we we're the wedding venue, I think was in Collin County and that's where Carmelo Anthony's case was anyway, but I was like, "It's funny you ask that. I had not been following that case, but Ashley J did ask me would I talk about it. I said yes not knowing what that case was about. Um so I'm just telling y'all and I'll tell y'all again if you end up showing up for that, I am not great at articulating these types of cases. So I'm I'm worried about it and then people are going to come in with their super strong opinions and I don't have to agree with their opinions, but sometimes people try to force you into their opinion and that's what I just I that's I don't want that. But I am organizing this to where I can do the best I can on talking about it cuz I also didn't know that cameras weren't in there. This was a closed off thing, so you can you don't you have what the reporters are saying with some attorneys that were able to be in there that kind of I think they do their own content with saying out in the world. So I'm just going to take that and we're going to do the best we can and obviously I'll be respectful. I don't know if everyone's going to agree with some of my opinions I have and I definitely don't agree with some of the cruel opinions that some people have. Uh but we will and I I really hope to just make it a one video thing because it's that's not my forte. That one's and it's it's a hard topic as it is. So yeah, but yeah, I will So my dad was asking me about it. He was telling me about what he knew about it and so basically just all I have right now is hearing other people tell me about it. Um and I only can watch so much because y'all know how it is. I'm short on time. I have my full-time job, so I got to do the best I can. Um and then today is our day four of the trip you know about. And once I get there, I'll show y'all, but I don't just in case it gets canceled, I try not to hype stuff up that I don't get to do it. So, hey Ashley, I was just mentioning you. I was mentioning you about a couple things, the bouquet thing and then talking about the Carmelo Anthony trial. Uh the bouquet thing, nobody threw a bouquet. The bride handed it to her. You can get a $300 up to a $600 voucher, but it was like the lower you choose, those will be the first to go. Um so, we chose night. We'll get a $500 out tonight once unfortunately once we actually get to the airport. If we don't fly out, literally this is where my family lives and this is where his family lives. bad of a thing, so like we could have been stuck somewhere else. This is the easy choice. Um but I I do want to go home and rest if I can, but if I can't, it's okay. Um what else? I think that's it. Sorry for all the buffering. This internet is just not the best here. It's disappointing. If I was at someone's house with their Wi-Fi, it would be better, but I'm in the hotel. This is what we got. So, I will be trying to check in with y'all later because of where I'm trying to go. So, look out for that and I'll post pictures mostly when I get home. And I think that's it. So, yeah. So, sorry the replay might not be great quality either, but that is the update so I wouldn't forget some of the details by the time I got home. Hopefully y'all enjoyed the update and I will
