All right. So, when I took my LSAT back in the I took it back in June. I don't remember which day in June. And I left there feeling not confident at all. I immediately started studying again for my second attempt. And you know, I was reassured that like, hey, a lot of people you don't you don't really necessarily pass on the first try. Like, it's okay. It's not the end of the world. I also had purchased a service that if my score came out so so bad, I could um not choose to publish that score to law schools. So I wouldn't have to have a crazy low score go out to law schools. I could just almost count it as still have to pay the money to take it, but only I know that score and keep it moving. Whether the score was going to be good or bad, I had planned on sharing it with y'all. That's why I kept saying, "Okay, you know, I'm testing." And if you were here from the beginning, you even know that I accidentally showed up for testing on the wrong day. I think I was like a week ahead or a few days ahead, at least a few days ahead of when I was supposed to. I'm sitting there giving my ID, giving my registration stuff. And he's looking at me like, well, hold on because sometimes the test doesn't show up immediately for Elsa for some reason. So, you know, uh, let me go check. And then he said, do you have um your email that you were given for your date? And I'm like, "Oh, yes. I I bought back to the car because you can't take basically anything in there. You can leave it in the locker, but I didn't want to accidentally have anything on me." So, uh, I had left my phone in the car that time and I pulled the email up and I'm still not registering. I pull the email. I'm looking at it and I give it to him and he was like, "Uh, this is for June blank date." And that was definitely at least a few days uh after when I was standing there now and I was like, "Oh my god." So what I took the positive from it is I I saw how I prepped that morning, got my brain ready and I know I knew the route to test. So on my test day I have no struggle of finding the location and um so that was that was the positive. The first day I had chosen to give like a time update when I thought I was testing that day. The second day I just I think I I don't even know if I posted anything until after I tested. I just showed up like, "Nope, we're not doing that." But I did still do like the same breakfast, get the protein, um the same brain warm-up activity, stuff like that. When I tested for my first try, the way I had studied, the sole way I had basically studied was through, I think it was Law Hub. They have a library of practice questions, lessons on each type of question on the LSAT, also reading comprehension, uh tests. I don't know if they explained reading comprehension, but they had sample tests and they would explain the answer and stuff like that. I didn't feel prepared. I felt prepared before I tested. I did not feel prepared once I got in there and I actually started testing. I'm like, um, it's already nerve-wracking because you have to be checked by security. Like once you put your belongings up, they're checking your glasses if you're wearing glasses, which I think I was that day cuz I didn't want my eyes to get dried out. Oh, and the test can be up to is it up to three three point something hours or something like that. It's a nice length of time. I don't remember how much it adds up to and you get one break in between. Um like if you take I think like the first two sections then you get a break then you come back and do but I didn't take a break. I need my brain to stay right there. I did not take a break but it was offered. It was offered but the way you have to go through the security I'm like I'm not doing that twice. No. But anyway, when you put your stuff up in this locker, you step into a room and they check everything. I think it was they didn't make me take my shoes off, but it was like I think bottom of your feet. I think they put a wand on you, but now I can't I feel like I'm making stuff up. It's crazy. It's only August right now and I already can't remember, but I know I had to pull my pockets inside out for all pockets. Leggings. I had to take the ankle of my leggings and like shake it basically to make sure there's nothing hidden that would fall out for you during the test to help you. I'm guessing that's why they did that. Yeah, I think you had to take your your hoodie all the way off so they could check that. And you had to put your glasses not just they check them, but you got to put them on the table. I think you turn it for them so they can look at the glasses. And I know meta glasses are a thing now, too. So, I don't know if that just started then or there's always been a thing where they check your glasses. I feel like they checked some other stuff, but now I can't remember. But I I may have talked about everything I checked in a different video, so it could exist. I don't remember now. It was very much a little bit of a blur cuz you're just trying to keep your mind where it's supposed to be. On another little complication, it's not bad, but it just, you know, you you get a little bit offkilter when things aren't going as you expected when you read the instructions, but then some things happen because the instructions said, "Make sure you know your L number. It's a number specific to you the whole time." So, I had my L number ready. I'm ready. Get in there and they were like, "You need to know your login." Log to what? Like, y'all didn't say that. So, I don't have my username and password uh memorized. So, thankfully, I showed up early before the test started. This is why I'm always like, I rather be early cuz you don't know what's going to happen. That's unexpected. I try to get into the uh my account on my phone. I had never been on it on my phone, so it's not safe. So, I had to do a password reset. I'm waiting in the internet and it's not that great. Of course, it's not that great. Why would it be great at this time? Finally, took about maybe 10 plus minutes. I got it reset to a password I could remember when I went in there and even my username was different from my normal usernames because I made a specific for this because it had a special purpose. So, I'm sitting there repeating my username and I'm repeating my uh password to myself. So, I go back in. I think I do security a second time. Now, I'm in the room trying to be extra quiet. I do appreciate they gave noise cancelling headphones because everybody else was so quiet. I ended up not needing it. I know at least one other person was in there to take the LSAT. I'm reading the questions. I'm doing my best to eliminate quickly. Like at least get the super wrong ones out the way. We know this is not it. There are, I believe, four sections on the LSAT. There's four sections on the LSAT. Apparently, you're only actually tested on three sections and one section is a test for the people that made the test. like they just want to see the numbers or analyze it, but you don't know which one is the doesn't count section. So, you have to treat each section like this is the one my my score is going to come from. So, one lesson I saw a lot was answer the questions and because you don't get a deduction for being wrong. It's just you don't get a points for it. You but you don't get you don't get a deduction. Answer all the questions. If you go back and there's some you missed, you better just put something in there. put an answer in there. It's better to chance it that you may increase your points because at least you put something there versus you didn't even give your chance to get more yourself a chance to get more points. I'm telling you that part because I get in there and I I think there's one out of three sections that I actually did not run out of time on. The odds are not great because that one of three that I didn't run out of time on could be the test section, the one that they're not going to actually give you a score on. I'm stressed and I'm just trying to get my brain like don't stop working brain like keep trying. But so let's say I don't remember how many questions are in each section and I don't want to say just in case that part whatever but I know that I most likely had about 30% or more questions that I did not actually get to read properly because there's they call it a stimulus. You read that which is basically like to me it's the scenario part of the the test. Then you have the question based on that stimulus. And then you have your answer choices. There were too many places that I didn't get a chance to thoroughly read or almost sometimes read the question at all because I spent quality time. I will call it quality time on the questions that I felt like if I that I could answer, but it's it still took me some time. And I also did skip back like if one was taking too long. I think one tip said if you are spending more than like 60 seconds or something like that on choosing an answer go to the next question mark that one to come back to later. So I I practiced all that. I really did. So when I saw how many I still had marked to come back to I oh Jesus this is this is not this is not this is not great. Um it was it was more than not great but I was trying to just say not great instead of like this is devastatingly bad in my opinion. I answer I did not leave one blank question. I can I can at least say that. Answered all the questions, hit complete test, got my gatherings, my things, my belongings, and um I went home and I was like, "No, this isn't feeling that great right now." Um I already told you how the test went. So now we're going to go to I leave out and [clears throat] I put up a message I think on YouTube posts. Don't know if I put it anywhere else, but I was like, "Hey y'all, I'm not being pessimistic. I'm not I'm being practical, but I'm like, I don't I think I'm going have to retest because I didn't get to finish." Like, I I I just didn't get to finish. It this does not feel comfortable at all. I didn't get to critically think about some of these questions. And as y'all do, if you were there for that part of the journey, it's like, "Hey, let you don't even know if you did bad yet. Let's let's wait till you get your score. Don't don't worry about this. Don't do this." And I'm like, I'm trying not to, but the odds, you know, it's not looking great. And so, um, and then fast forward to maybe a week or two after I took the LSAT, you have to submit an argumentative writing essay before they will release your LSAT score. So, the ELSAT scores were released no later than June 24th. I had scheduled myself to take the argument of writing essay a week or two after. Now, this test is mandatory remote and they have strict rules. And I'm like, I'd rather be at a center. Like, what if my that's when my internet chooses to go out or something crazy like that? That's nerve-wracking to me. So, you have to make sure the room is almost bare. You can't have a clear door. So, if you're trying to take it at work and you have a clear door to your office, can't take the test there, which would it be distracting to me, but the fact that you just can't at all. Um, you can't, of course, get up to do anything once you uh start the argument and writing essay. They have to be able to see your face the whole time in the webcam. You have to take your cam. Mine was on a laptop. So, I you have to hold your whatever's holding your camera. You have to uh scan your room in a 360 circle cycle. It's basically wall, floor to not really ceiling like look straight up, but you know, like top of the wall, bottom of the wall. Uh make sure you scan under the desk. Make sure you uh you just have to show everything if you had if they if you brought tissue because tissue was one of the few things allowed. You had to pick up each tissue to show there's nothing on it. It's just tissue. Um if you had water, it couldn't have a label and it had to have a top. If you wanted to wear ear um the noise cancellation like foam ear things, they couldn't be connected by that string. They could be separate separate um you couldn't have a phone in there. You couldn't have a second a second you you couldn't have a second computer in there. So in this office, one, it's too much to even try to clean up. But two, it already disqualified because we have a second computer in here. So I had to I took mine in my meditation room. But I still had to clear out a lot even from that. If there were certain things in there, they had to be so far out of your reach that the proctor knew you wouldn't be able to touch it. Only thing that could be in there that was electronic is if it was already a TV in the room. They're like, you know, we get it. It's impractical to try to move a TV out the room, stuff like that. But it couldn't be on obviously. So I log in. I get technical difficulties as soon as I hit that link and get to the third party part. It took them just an hour for me to actually get someone to help me and figure out what happened. So then I do all that. I do the checklist and then I go hit start essay. It say you've timed out. This link no longer works. And I I contact help desk. I'm like, don't panic. It's cool, cool, cool. That's why there's a help desk. And they were like, "Oh, I'm sorry. It's not allowing us uh to give the option to reset the link for you. You're going to have to contact I think it's law school admission council cuz it's LSAC." But guess what? They were closed. They were closed then. And I think I took it around a federal holiday. It was probably around the Junth weekend. So I leave my meditation room. I turn off all the lights and I go straight under the covers and I start crying because I'm like I had prepared so much. I I had because you don't know what prompt you're going to get on the argumentative essay writing stuff. So you just you know I'm trying to figure out what's the most common topics. I studied how you the most important things to them which for them is pick a side don't change it but you also have to acknowledge the other side's point and just respectfully do a rebuttal but acknowledge that you know this might be a fair point but you know the my strategy was memorize the start of each sentence in my paragraph. So I had an intro paragraph argumentative paragraph one argumentative paragraph 2 and a conclusion. So for each sentence in that paragraph, I had my start of the sentence memorized because it didn't matter what topic they gave me. My sentences would start the same. For instance, I was always going to start my intro sentence with people often disagree about blank whatever was about to be, whatever the prompt was. Then the second sentence was I contend that whatever whatever I was gonna pick a side on, it was gonna start that way. Yeah. So I did all that, have all my sentences memorized, so I was really ready. Ready. It took a lot to get there. Just getting that room prepared and then making sure they don't point out something that you violated to take the essay. It's a lot. Like it's just mentally a lot. The test doesn't happen. The link won't reset. I go lay down under the covers and the dark start crying. Mr. Tren is like, "What the heck is going on?" So he comes and tries to cheer me up and he's like, "You're going to get to take it again." I'm like, "How do you know? They said the link doesn't exist anymore." And so I had to give my well I called them Monday to at least see would the link be able to reset Elsac the council part they said oh yeah okay no problem they reset the link and made it active that was the weekend I like I said I think of Junth it took me until this past Friday which would have been let's see what is that date August 8th no August 7th August 7th it took took me until August 7th to try again. I had to keep keeping my brain fresh, keep being prepared for my beginning sentences and all that stuff. Um, you know, to at least then I could just focus on which side am I choosing and who's who's going to support my side and who's going to counter my side and all that stuff. I I hit that link. I went through all that rigma roll again. This time I Oh, and the problem that was figured out was that you can't be signed into your Google account. You have to just be in as a guest. But the guest one didn't work because it wouldn't let me then download the extension I needed. So when the first tech helped me that first time, they had created a dummy account. And the dummy account was still acting like I guess a guest account. So I just log back into that cuz they kept it there. And that allowed me to keep going through the steps. I see my prompts. I write my essay. I even had 14 minutes left to keep going on my essay. So I that part I was like, "Okay, at least the essay, I'm good." Cuz I feel comfortable with what I wrote. It doesn't feel incomplete. and I have 14 minutes to spare because they give you 15 minutes to look at the prompt, look at the perspectives, take your notes, like your rough draft notes. I took 13 out of 15 minutes of that and then they only give you 35 minutes to write the actual essay and I had 14 minutes left out of that. So that I was I was like, "Okay, this is something I'm comfortable with. Like it's going to be decent." So I submitted that and then the status on the thing kept saying test initiated. So I called the council again and I was like okay does this status change to submitted because just initiate is making me uncomfortable after what I went through and they were like it won't change until most likely your test is actually evaluated and recorded. I was like oh god now I got to wait to see did it take right but I I was positive about that one that one it was a little worried but it wasn't like how it over takes me sometimes on other stuff. So that was Friday. Today is Tuesday August 11th. Yesterday on August 10th, my essay had been evaluated, accepted, and so they released my score, my ELSAT score that I could have gotten by June 24th, but you can't get it until you submit that argumentative essay and it's evaluated. I'm at work when I get the email alert. Your LSAT score has been released. All right, I'm back. I recorded this part already and it was all on mute, so take two on this part. So, I took notes this time. First of all, let's talk about the average of what it takes to be accepted into a law school. Like the average score, what's the bare minimum? So, from what I saw, the bare minimum is you could get into law school with a 120, but you probably have to be like this angel of a person. And that school, I don't know how much it would help you because that school would not be approved by the American Bar Association. So, if you want to get into a school that is approved by the American Bar Association, their range was between 150 to 160. From what I saw, you can get into like the top 50 programs with that score. If you had a score from the mid 160s up until like 175, 180, you could get into the top 10 schools. My hope was that I I needed a score in the 150s. That was my hope because if I took that test, I was like, I probably at best got a literal 100 a 90 something. That's just where my brain was. All right. So, I'm trying to log into the website when I get the email notification on my phone and my data is going as slow as molasses as I sit at my desk and I'm like, you know, I'm pep talking myself like, hey, if it's below what you need, you're already studying for the second time. I was planning on testing by February of 2027 as my second attempt. Give myself quality time to study effectively. And I was like, worst come to worst, you can just vlog your way of road from whatever low score it was going going to be to a 155 or 160 LSAT score. So, I was going to make my little comeback vlog. When I took the practice test about a year ago, my practice ELSAT score was a 153. I open this app or website and I'm looking. I'm scrolling. My LSAT score, the official score was a 153. I couldn't believe it. I was so prepared to just chug along cuz we're not giving up at one time. We we There's no way. You like this too much. There's no way. But that thing said 153. I couldn't believe it. I I could not believe it. I got what I was hoping for. And I was like, I just knew I was going to take this the second time. I have no complaints. Obviously, what what would I complain about? I have no complaints. And then for it to be the exact same number as what I got on my practice test, my mind is blown. I'm like, "Oh, this is is meant to be. I'm going to be I am not I'm going to be I'm walking in my purpose and we'll just see where this journey takes me." So now, future vlogging will be criteria that I have for the schools I'm going to apply to. For instance, they have to be a hybrid school. I have a full-time job, so they have to be a hybrid school. And the difference between a hybrid school or just calling it an online school, which they they have physical locations. All the places I am applying to have a physical school. But the difference in it being a online school versus being labeled a hybrid school is that you are required to physically show up to the school from one to four times a year depending on what they require. Another one is the school has to accept the yellow ribbon program which is a a veteran program that uh helps to pay for the tuition if not the full tuition. So I need that because I don't want to go into debt. I don't want school debt. They the rules are too shady to me for school debt. Had it been just a normal personal loan type debt, I I wouldn't have any problems. Like okay, you know, I still would want to find ways to pay for it. Um, I also need to see about applying for scholarships because I I'm going to try, but that's what the future holds right now. Anything related to that part of, you know, getting ready to uh apply to and attend law school. Um, I am for the I told you so. I welcome them cuz if there was ever a good reason to get an I told you so, it is this. So, I take all the I told you so. I do. I want to say thank you to everyone that stopped by as I was, you know, updating y'all with text posts or a video post about things and you encouraged me or even before I started updating y'all when you were like when y'all were like, "Yes, we can totally see it. Take that test and see what happens." You know, so thank you for the encouragement u for believing in me as I was not believing in myself on what was going to happen with this. Uh, I wasn't going to give up, but I was like, "Not this time." So, thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
