be afraid um there's Coke on the seat or what appears to be Coke in plain view right there I would imagine there's probably some more in here somewhere cuz he was shoving all over the place so I'm going to go grab some gloves have a Char CL what's that what's happening how are you guys new uh did somebody say was there yeah they said you got like four and five in the car or something like that you want pictures or anything my camera or anything uh yeah yeah I guess if we got it that's what he's scared he's on parole and he's got cold it's he so he was backed um I didn't uh I didn't get that far in there so gu we start up here there's um I got to ask somebody was just telling me that there was somebody dealing out of that gas station that's why I roll and I saw he was backed in and right when I passed he pulled out on the street so over um we'll start he was putting stuff all over the place so we'll uh we'll wait here if do you want to make sure he's not like reaching around in there or anything cuz he might he might have stuffed some stuffff he was moving around a lot officers thoroughly searched the vehicle inspecting various areas for hidden items he was like when he saw me he I mean he was cruising oh yeah I guess the park district said something about we had like five or six people in the car and all sorts of yeah I said they're moving around a lot that's all I said know were I knew where I don't know she probably thought it was ways out or maybe they she might have called over and said something to them he came it's in there Hi how are you good C ear um I don't think more okay wa was the one from the SE okay yeah there's bags all over inside that thing her name is Dynasty instead of Destiny and she do I I don't think he'd be of any use to the Zone if he's on a parole or anything like that yeah this backpack C it's really 163 we'll have one detain probably about 5 or 10 minutes ago what's in here the he had to I mean I think he was shoving all over the place the car was rocking everywhere what do you think this is Coke tube like a snort or something I'm going to set it offside maybe we swap it see it has residue this feels like a powder in here but I'm hold it come across clear dispatch looking 348 33 here the Chanel in the middle of the search a sudden blare filled the air and what happened next left everyone in shock it took her a long time to pull over I got a holster right here in the passenger seat okay I just it took her a very long time to pull over it took her a very long time pull over I'm going do you see your toss anything I I I she could have because it took her a long time to pull over I'm going to put myle away come back all right she could have because when I was behind her she was driving slow enough yeah so she could have tossed something but I L tossed it out the window she could have out that window but who is that heart no that's uh check oh my God oh my God move your car stay back6 Patrol fire just hit by a train just 346 us medical emerg the suspect wasin the vehicle that was H by the train [Applause] [Music] watch the fence Emergency Services were quickly called to the scene however other officers continued their search eventually uncovering what they had anticipated there may still be a firearm in the vehicle I don't know if you guys have been through it yet you got it I got a holster here we weren't we weren't sure if she threw it or if it's still hidden in the vehicle somewhere it took her a long time to pull over and Platville said he did not see anything leave the vehicle right now I just need to find out who she is so we can that [Music] [Applause] as who's you hear that no I didn't hear that there's a round over there in the door okay that's her we got a date of birth on there that's what I was looking I know you know what you're doing I was just thinking out loud I'll let you look at that I'll keep looking for the other stuff what uh well we need to find your ID so her ID could be in the console there's your gun the incident left the officer visibly distressed and troubled by the turn of events yeah exactly I so then um what happened after that was one of the left an officer said you know I'll be on your left on your right side so she's on the right side I started giving her commands she came out of the car she with everything um I did TR to put her phone down she comped we cuffed her mhm and um I didn't think the left officer was going to put her in my car actually didn't and she did she put her in my car so what left officer put her in the uh female officer left I don't she's still here she's still here she cuz her car was right her car was right there right there no it was in front of that car in front of that car yeah that's where her car was she move maybe it's that one down there I don't know there was nobody in there so I know they were blocking off that okay did you get her name was it uh younger girl yeah I think I think I know her name uh it's something like that yeah i' I've seen her around here before but so she put her in your car yes and I I2 I'm so then now when she's I I didn't know she was in my car because I remember when when the hit when the train hit I said was she in my car she said oh my God she was I didn't know that she was in my car anyhow she she was put in my car um we cleared the truck and then we cleared the back and then as it was clearer we just started going back and then the the main off with the glasses train train train and then I hear that I hear that and then I started moving this way and you're not injured right you weren anywhere near uh my blood pressure's up a little bit but that's because I think that's the best you could have had out of that so I think I just you know it's just because I it's not it's she was in there you know but you know the the one good thing is the female officer put her that's my chief calling me um put her on the wrong side which was saving grace because if she would have put her where the on the on the on the passenger side okay so she put them she put them over there okay do you have name in your custody at all um baile got it should be getting or one of them talk to your Chief and I don't want to move anything yet uh okay that'd be awesome then at least I get make she got she got hit you know train versus car so I got I got CSP here um here you did find a gun in the truck so fortunately she survived the Collision but suffered multiple broken bones with all these incidents the air just kept getting heavier but don't worry cuz it's time to switch gears shooting at a neighbor's dog probably not the best idea especially in Athens what started as a petty dispute quickly turned into a full-blown SWAT standoff just watch the video and you'll see what's coming let them rinse you off real quick cut it just cut it start cutting cut them all I want to blow my nose I won't be in nobody face like this cut it off on May 21st 2022 in Athens Georgia police were were called after a man was seen shooting at a neighbor's dog the dog's owner who heard the gunshot quickly called 911 as the suspect fled the scene Athens takes shooting a dog very seriously upon arrival officers spoke with Witnesses and gathered details about the incident I understand my daddy was a police andion point you what my daddy was a police point so I completely understand I done security for ug for 9 years okay um what's your name natas you like my ID baby I just asked you all right I brought it out here for you anyway to be prepared what's this address yes sir I see he uh he took our running home yeah uh what's your phone number I've had that phone number nine years too all right and your um date of birth yeah hi what happened oh my little I get I was sitting out here bagging can for my sister and uh the mail carrier stopped earlier than normal and I was talking to my neighbor on the phone she was getting ready to go to a graduation mhm so uh I came out here and check the mayor was asking her if she wanted me check her and the normal occupant over there if Diablo gets out he goes over there calls the regular occupant who's the old Diablo a Diablo who is that that's oh your dog okay I got you um if he gets out and goes over there it's because the regular occupant I feed him that's the only reason here'll go over we've been here December be 10 years MH we don't pass and we pass you know you keep your mess over there don't let it transfer across the road you know I got grand babies I don't even think he's there or he would never let that happen I don't know who that man is I couldn't see him real close up front as I was turning around I was still on the phone to my neighbor so the dog went over there the dog went over there as he would because he used to being fed by bro that's what they might call and uh I was across the street coming back with my mail and I heard a gun shot and whipped around and he was pointing it in this direction just like this what kind of gun that was it was a handgun what kind like this or a revolver I couldn't tell what color was it it appeared black but I was not sure because like I said he was he turned and duck like this and ran between the house in the car okay where were you when this happened don't go all the way up there just kind of point it out cuz uh like At first crack right there okay so um took your dog out he goes over there and you start walking up there you see him standing there no I didn't I didn't see him until I heard a shot okay that's when I whipped around my dog flying by me and he's still standing there pointing in this direction okay okay to to the end of driveway heard a gun shot yeah I was on the way back from checking the mail okay the mail carrier was actually at their mailbox had just turned down that road and stopped at the next mailbox he turned around and came back and stopped back here and and asked me oh my God are you okay the mail and then he left and went back that way I don't think he ever finished uh doing the mail you might have but I didn't see him go back by so you go up there you get your mail you're coming back you get to about the end of the driveway yeah the first crack all the way across you hear a gunshot and I whip around my dog come flying by and he's standing there well he duck like this he got on a white T-shirt I couldn't really tell the pants because he's whipping like this and he Ducks between the car and the house and I CL are you really shooting at my dog mhm because he wouldn't harm anybody or anything or you know he he likes to bark but he wouldn't bite it and knows this we had him for years she's old uh everybody that goes over there knows him okay uh a couple minutes later with me on the phone with 911 he comes out and he stands here and he stares me down like this okay all right so you never saw him shoot the gun you heard it yeah he was standing there pointing like this when he while I was talking to not one1 okay I saw I saw him with the gun then called 911 saw and he stood there and star me down until he saw y'all was he across the street or in the street he was across the street right there at that uh tree police learned that the suspect is taken Refuge inside a nearby house is it a is it not I mean laws is Chang since my daddy was you know an officer you know they change every day um isn't it or is it not illegal to discharge a farm in the city limit yeah it is okay well it has been for many years then it was he was an officer back in the 80s okay um all you said the what color gun again black it appeared black from over here what's the guy what was the guy wearing white t-shirt white T-shirt uh I couldn't really tell about his pants okay black guy white guy black guy you know him no okay no I know the occupant and I know what his sister drives okay if um you saw him could you pick him up I didn't get a closeup of his face okay he appeared to be about 6ot how old do you think he was was about late 20s early 30s from what I can see across the street how much you say he weighs between 170 to 185 okay who's the fell that came out here that's my fiance did he hear hear any of it oh yeah he heard the shot in my neighbor was outside and she heard it okay let me go tell them what's going on they want me to come over here and um see what I can find from you to find out what happened exactly me continuing to stay over there it's like he's not like he's daring me to do something or he's watching to see if I was doing something it wasn't looking real safe you know okay let me let me go over there and tell them what's going on what we're dealing with and uh me or somebody else will be back over here to talk to him and neighbor uh I can't tell if they're looking at me right there he goes stand by you hear that let me see your hands let me see your hands now come out walk towards us is there anybody else in the house yes there is there's another guy with a beard beard yes watch Crossfire Crossfire turn around we got one coming out the back he's got his hands up come to us walk to us slowly somebody cover on that door will you got it thank you keep walking keep walking all right you got hand your knees place your hands behind your back y'all step up and cover me yep clear this is not the guy how many more people you've already lied one time tell us the truth lied one time tell us the truth huh tell us the truth sir how people are in the freezer now in the freezer inside yeah just one yeah I they're saying he's hiding in the freezer inside does he have a gun on him no where's it at we know he shot a gun earlier where's it at I don't know okay we don't want anybody to get hurt okay you give it consent to go in your house and give what's your name being the te man you're not the guy we're looking for but what's your name what's your birthday okay all right Rob we there's a foot path back here we can walk you out I going to get you out of here okay where Let's Walk This Way I'll go with [Applause] you who's inside what's his name what's his name we going to find out one way or the other can you tell me [Applause] huh oh okay you're good L all right does he live here sir no cousin he's a cousin he does not live here you doing okay sir yeah all right BARC cat's coming come on over here man put you in my car he's giv us consent to go to get the guy so um he's homeowner he's not under arrest officers continue to negotiate with the suspect who is hiding inside the house hey tell me tell me what you know about what happened today in the bed sleep he he come running in there talking about the police out here okay for what he said uh neighbor somebody mother thought that he was shooting shooting a gun or something okay but that's what that's what he said to you yeah that uh he thought that the neighbor thought that he was he was shooting shooting a gun or something then he ran in the house where where he was already in the house all right so where did he run off to he uh he he in the house now okay in in the freezer the freezer at that back door yeah okay it don't work freezer don't work uh is there anything in the freezer yeah did he was yeah it just went out a couple couple weeks ago and I a f to clean all the stuff out so how do how do you get in the freezer then and you just take everything out of it no it ain't that much in there is it a chest freezer or a stand up freezer okay so it's got the lid on it did he have any any weapons or anything like that on I didn't see one okay ran through the house he couldn't hear in the house you know when you you know wake waking me up yeah okay does he have a bedroom in there no he don't live here okay has he been staying with you at all every once in a while okay he did he stay here last night uh-uh okay do you hear any pops or anything like that no okay all right I don't know they not telling me anything but they said I can stand right here thank you yeah no problem so I'm officer Lance um so the last phone call I got was that um that somebody is coming to open the door that's the last phone call I just got who who who was I don't have a name I don't I don't know I don't have a name I could try to get one like a law enforcement officer going to open the door the um owner I guess the owner was going to come yeah so hi puppy dog we have a I guess uh there's a older not older G probably in his 50s or so that's there he came out with us uhhuh and then I understand that you're is that him no no this gentleman's halfway down um does he live here your brother no does he do you know why he'd be there I don't I don't oh you don't have no idea so from what I understand I all I came to see was that my brother was getting medical attention because he has he does have a they told me that what his number fell out I don't I don't I'm not giving you his number I mean I want to do everything I can to help you I will make the phone call for you and put it on speaker but I'm not going to give you my brother's phone so the reason we're at we have a negotiator down there trying to talk to him and so that's why we're trying to call negotiator yeah cuz he's inside the house and he won't come out so that's why we're trying to talk to him7 she said she will not give it to me like that that's where he needed medical attention yeah and so that's why we have an ambulance here as well we are not going away you need to exit the residents immediately with your hands up and nothing in them and follow our instruction we have a valid arrest rep for you exit the residence now well that's the other thing we can do Dan if we break and rake that window OC vapor in there just try that yeah y ready ready yeah you ready McGee yeah let me Police Department all right pull back all right pick up that window how's your view from the from the turret on that window we got a uh I can see it it's got a mattress uh some sheets coming down like a shower curtain type thing does that look like the freezer might be in that room or do you think it's inside the kitchen I mean it's a possibility I can't see all the way in it almost looks like a old bathroom chill the freezer he was climbing into is it just inside the back door or is it in the little old bathroom that's like to the right of the back door the windows to the bathroom all right the one you broke is the one that goes to the bathroom 104 she said she'd call and put it on speaker for me can you call him and put on speaker for me yeah I will um I'm on the phone with our oldest brother right now can you get here please my heart hurting so bad I don't know please so does he have any history of mental mental health or he definitely got a history of mental health mental health can you get here okay I'm sorry for interrupting no you're good you're good I know it's a stressful situation for you so the the the little bit that I know is that he did commit a crime no one else is injured he's not injured but he ran into the house away from officers and closed the door that's the only thing we know and the owner of the house came out and said he is inside may I ask what crime he committed uh something invol a gun I don't know exactly it was in this this place it was in this this area up here he ran behind the house and ran inside that's all I know and that the police on him officers were out here when it happened okay so they didn't he didn't fire at officers or anything the officers got out with him ended up getting a foot chase with him he ran into the house and closed the door before officers could get inside and we backed out that's when I got here later I got here much later I came from another call so I only heard bits and pieces of it and then all these other officers of the SWAT team because we heard he's inside a house locked up and there was a firearm involved so they always call SWAT team this is just part of the procedure so they have an ambulance standby they have a medic up there with us where is house is it on the corner or on the street it's on down on the left we have one of our mental health clinicians with us as well so we're trying to get them to come out and talk okay the suspect's sister expressed concerns about her brother while other officers move closer to the house let me just keep calling okay you're calling him yes okay 17 she's trying to to call him but he's not answering where does he stay at he stay on she's trying to get other family members down here so she's calling him Nick and then she's doesn't get answer she'll call another family member trying to get them to come out and uh you said he does have mental he what kind of mental he uh has he do you know that he's been diagnosed with or you suspect does he take medications or anything for it I don't know I I really don't know okay I last I know maybe something for sleep and anxiety but I really don't know okay yeah I I don't know who I don't I don't know him and we don't have all this history form him so that's what we're trying to figure out and that's why um we were seeing if we can get his number cuz if we can talk to him one of our one of our mental health officers can talk to him and try to talk talking to come out that's what we're wanting to do I just um so nobody has like physical contact with him or no anything as far as ranal attention or anything so we uh the last thing that I knew of what happened an officer was running beside the house after him behind him and he went he went to the left side of the house out of sight and then when they got around the other side of the building both officers came from either side of the house and the door shut and then no one came out so they backed out since a gun was involved gun was involved and then that's when they turn around so and then that's when everything all of us came out here cuz we were trying to we're trying to make sure nothing else happens okay well nobody's getting an answer I got my um basically the whole family calling are your family as well yeah okay yeah do you know of any mental health um issues that he's been having or or any uh that he's been diagnosed with no no okay has anything happened to get my have you B I have it yeah I have um has anything happened recently that would cause him to like did he have a breakup or anything like maybe something kind of rough happened in his life see like I said I live in the cada yeah we all grown at this point I I don't know what's going on yeah we're just wanting just to make sure because I wanted to see that my brother got medical attention but now I see nobody has contact with him so I'm extremely worried right now but I mean like I said I have my oldest brothers and everybody continuing to call him to see if he's okay and so are they sure he's in the house or not somewhere in the woods pass out yeah he's definitely ran inside the house and okay you are under arrest the back you need to exit the resence now with your hands up and nothing in them come to the back door with your hands in the air follow our instruction officers conducted a thorough search of the suspect's last known location carefully assessing the area back ACR the okay um where was the dog at the dog had bolted across the street I made it to this first complet line okay so You' already checked your mail and you were coming back yes okay first okay when I heard a pop okay I heard a pop around like that uh-huh right there where's there screen right right yeah wa was he on the house side of it was he on this side he on the house side okay he had to go straight out the FR where was he pointing he was pointing straight over here okay was he pointing straight at you or just in this area well from there it would be like this okay um he was not pointing down he was not pointing up he was pointing like this okay where was your dog at do you remember flying okay with his tail tuck between his legs straight to the door okay um and I don't know why okay nobody has ever messed with him and he's never messed with anybody okay um either I'm saying either wasn't there or else he was asleep or none of that would ever transpired Okay so had you ever seen this guy before I don't know okay I don't know you didn't but did you recognize him at all like look Bly familiar I wear glasses oh okay okay so you know what I'm saying yeah I know I definitely know what you're saying so but he was 100% on the for around and looked at him I said did you really just shoot at my dog you know he whipped like that like that right there and flew like that du between the car in the house by that time I was actually on the phone with her okay my neighbor my spouse comes out cuz he heard the part okay and he said oh my God what was that mhm I said he just shot over here okay he said what the get your mhm and I was like stunned my heart quit beating okay I was scared I was frozen you know really somebody actually just shot over here from there okay you know but you're 100% positive he was between the house and the fence he wasn't on this side of the fence he was not he was not on this side okay and you said he he had the gun pointing Straight Ahead he was pointing straight ahead but from where he was was he pointing it at you or was he pointing it at the house he was pointing it like this okay so in your direction in my direction because I'd stopped and Whi okay now when he I heard the pop I cannot tell you how he was pointing at my back was to him okay but that's why I whipped around to begin with was because I heard the PO okay did you just shoot around no okay are you kidding was he aggressive just then no all right he only goes over there because every time he does he knows he's going to get fed snacks and all okay so the gentleman that actually lives there typically feeds them and that's why okay brother okay all righty well thank you so much I mean there was no reason sh just apprach officers assess their tactical approach position in equipment to see inside the house better as they prepared to move in can we get an angle better angle on it now you trying to detach from the car yeah well now that we are no it's blocking it now money yeah that was perfect that was should have done that the first time the key is in the cup holder I'm not here somebody needs to move it OCC step away from the door back away from the door of the resident are we on the tank or something SC give me cover on that window move out get away from the door back away from the door we can see in through this bathroom into that next room yeah he can't still be in the freezer yeah I way it doesn't work under arrest come to the rear door of the residence with your hands up and nothing in them follow our instruction do it now down up what's your thoughts about chemicals man certainly warranted it's not his house I I hate to shot at the neighbor that's the problem so I'm hoping the breach would get him to comply let's try the robot I don't have because of those stairs I don't have the freezer I got the light straight ahe yeah we got the freezer yeah we got the freezer from this able to clear much man uh I got a view into the kitchen there's a door that opens to the left looks like it goes to another bathroom and then the kitchen Straight Ahead past that the freezer's like looks like it's in a little mud room and there's a bathroom to the left and then pitch into the 12:00 the only other thing we haven't tried obviously is bang we could pitch a bang I mean it ain't hurting nothing has beened for us on the I was going to say throw it in the mud room with a bang by that freezer all right so go ahead and get somebody for that B I'm going to run it by him I got it know what process hey Will yeah when I tell you to you're going to lower the ram uhuh and pull back up as close to the house as you can get I'm going to throw a bang in that back door towards that freezer okay once that I deploy it and get back then you can back up a little bit I'll let you know when we're ready to go will you keep an eye on that as best you can it's in the kitchen looking straight ahead I tried to move it up so I won't hit it with the bank all right you ready will yeah all right Ram down y'all ready to move got that window all right you can drop coverage I got I got Police Department back up Fields give more command the res now come to the rear door with your hands up nothing Ram down and pull forward you want it in this window first yeah get me up close to that window all right go ahead that one actually went into the kitchen cuz the window was open I think it went all the way to the kitchen all right let's not mess around let's send another one if we're worried about there being a fire let's go ahead and send it cuz these are not going to cause a fire go again same location all right let's go again keep coming back keep coming [Music] back let me see your hand let me see your hand C all the Freez come on out come to us do it now come on move to us do it now they continued their efforts to persuade the suspect to surrender
