Hey, easy. Back off. Conducting a traffic stop is part of an officer's duty, but what happens when a cop faces [music] the worst of Karens? Stop. This is a I can't talk to my son. That's when the odds are against [music] them and a traffic stop can turn into one of the toughest jobs in the world. >> For not providing your driver's license when you're supposed to. Well, that is the law. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. Let's start with this most unhinged woman the cops have ever seen. Around midnight in Key West, Florida, people were going home from work when a woman drove the wrong way, hit another vehicle, and then ran off. Finding it very alarming, the victim called the police right away. Meanwhile, another officer was speaking with the suspect. While asking her documents to identify her, her attitude became a big issue. So, you're the driver of the black Explorer? You got your license ready? License, registration, and insurance, please. Okay, calm down with the attitude, okay? Okay? Yes. License, registration, and insurance. All right, you mind getting your registration for me as well? You are a grown woman. We don't need anybody else here. Registration and insurance? All right, can I have your information, please? What does that mean? That has nothing to do with anything. So, if you're going to come at me with racist remarks, I'm not going to have it, okay? No, you're yourself, okay? So, don't come talking like that in front of me. Okay, then don't say remarks like that. What's your phone number? What's your phone number? What's your phone number? Phone number? Okay. You got your registration for me? And insurance? License, please. She expired. Read it. The woman's vehicle had multiple paint marks, yet she kept insisting she hadn't hit anyone. The officer tried to be straightforward with her, but she chose to be extremely difficult, making the situation much more complicated. We're not looking at that. We're not looking at that. We're not looking at that, either. Okay, well, I don't care about any of that. All I care about is that is is the part where his paint is on your vehicle. Okay, what does that have to do with anything? What do you What are you talking about? I have no idea what you're talking about. What do you mean these What? What does that mean? Oh, so we're so we're making this a race thing. Okay. I just told you what I said. Lower your voice. Don't yell at me. Nobody's yelling Nobody's yelling at you. Nobody's yelling at you. You don't need to yell at me. You live here? Okay, so let me ask you He didn't pull you over. You got into a vehicle accident. You can't leave the scene of the It's a crime to leave an accident. It's a crime to leave the scene of an accident. That has nothing to do with anything. Oh my god, I can't wait for them to make out here. I can't wait. I can't wait to get my lawyer on this because I didn't do anything. Constant disrespect and attempts to intimidate officers were just the beginning. When she received a call from her son, she was clearly testing the officer's patience. He He can't He can't come here, okay? He can stay 25 ft away. I don't care. I don't care. No, he can't. He needs to stay 25 ft away from us. Is Is this Is this your house? Okay, well, then he can go to his house. But nobody's coming on scene. Okay, he's not coming on scene. And then and then if he doesn't heed my warning, he's going to go to jail. Who's them? >> [music] >> As the argument went on, the woman grew even more defiant and entitled. OUT OF THE WAY! GET OUT OF THE WAY! ROADS ARE MADE FOR CARS TO DRIVE ON, BUT WHAT happens when someone takes a vehicle and crashes it into a shopping mall? Is there somebody in there? Any? No, just him. It'd be easier to get this one. It'd be easier to get him out that side. All right, I think it's What's going on? What's going on? He's blank. Hey, let's take him out the other door. All right. Hey, I don't have anything other than a tourniquet on me. Let's go and detain him though just in case. All right, where's he hit? Do you want cold water or you want Yes, fine. Okay, hop back in. Get away from me. Right. All right, I won't let him touch you. The officer then met with her boyfriend as she was being taken to jail. Just watch what he had to go through because of the woman's reckless actions. Okay. So, here's what's happening. She's going for one count of attempted auto burglary cuz she tried to get into somebody's car and then she decided she was going to kick me as we were trying to get her out of the car. Um So she's going to go for aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer. So, she's going to jail tonight. Is that a It's not felony, though. They're both felonies. They're both felonies. What kind of jail time is that? That's not up to me. That's I mean, first I'm charging her I you know, to get jail time she'd have to be convicted or plead guilty and then that would be up to a judge. There's a number of other factors that come into play, so I can't even speculate what that would be. We're We're at stage one of a multi-stage process. >> All right. >> Okay. So Um Um she'll be going to jail tonight. She'll see a judge in the morning at first appearance. That's at 8:30 at the Indian River County Courthouse. All right. Is that in Vero or Yeah, it's in the city. It's on 20th. Yeah. It's 16th. So, if you want to go, you can go. You can figure Yeah. what her bond is and you can drive her out on bond if you want. Okay. You don't have to, though. Really don't want to, man. No, you don't have to. It's up to you. >> by the house and like she didn't break a lot of stuff. Broke a couple things. I'm just letting you know. I mean, you can go. You don't have to go. I mean, if you go, you're not going to be able to participate cuz you're not a part of it. Yeah. You know, other than as a witness. Cuz you saw what happened to the car. But beyond that, I mean, you're not a part of the case. You're not going to be able to participate in hearing, but you can go if you wish. You can bond her out. You can let her sit. You can do whatever you want. That's entirely up to you. All right, man. Um but she's going to be going with us. We're going to leave the car. Okay. Um Do you want us to lock it? Oh, yeah. Sure, you have another There is a fob at the house cuz we were like she came by and we're like how is she driving around? She got work. Her fob is here, so Okay. I know her fob is there. Okay. All right, then I'll lock it up and leave it there and then you can get somebody to help you out >> All right. move it and then that way it doesn't get towed and there's not any problem with that. All right, I'm sorry about this. Hey, it's not your fault. It is It's It's hers, so Um [snorts] The woman was charged with aggravated battery on a LEO. Human behavior is unpredictable and it often surprises us in many ways. Just like in our next case, her actions were completely outrageous. I'm calling my mom. Exit the vehicle now. You're under You're under arrest. Don't touch You're under arrest. A customer went to a restaurant in Fox Point, Wisconsin to pick up an order, but ended up causing a disturbance. In January 2025, police received a report that she had assaulted a pregnant employee, prompting an officer to initiate a traffic stop to address the situation. You're not at Lou Malnati's Pizza? No, but I'm You're supposed to be going to QDOBA, so you're not in Lou Malnati's at all. Okay. All right, so that's why we got called. We We heard that the DoorDash driver had some sort of incident at Lou Malnati's. There was another DoorDash driver over there. Okay, so that's what we're investigating. So, I'm just going to have you remain in the vehicle for the moment. I'll be back with you in a moment, okay? Yeah. She's saying she was coming to QDOBA and there's a different DoorDash driver is what she's saying. So, that's as far as I got with her. Let me go find her. Okay, I got I was going to get And this is your vehicle. It's registered to you. Yes. Okay. All right, so you were just coming from QDOBA. Did you pick up an order or >> I didn't pick up an order. Yeah, I'm on the phone with DoorDash now. Okay. And so then, did you see someone come out of Lou Malnati's? I did see another lady with a with a white car. Okay. >> out of there. All right. Um so, the woman that came out, what What was she wearing? Okay. And you said it was a white car. Yeah, another white car. She just literally just pulled off. Okay. Uh was it a car or an SUV or No, car. Car. Was it newer or older? I don't Did it have any like other stickers or anything on it that would help us identify the car? I don't think I can identify it. She didn't have any uh Like an exterior door handle? Yeah. Okay. It had a different door. All right. We appreciate your patience. I said you're My partner's talking to the employee from Lou Malnati's. We'll try to get you in here shortly. So, I appreciate your patience. I don't know if they're allowed to be sitting here. I mean, I Well, cuz we're we're we're investigating the complaint. So, that's your status at the moment. So, we do appreciate your patience. Since the woman, Jamua Lewis, claimed she had done nothing wrong, the cops met with the victim to understand what had happened. So, she came to pick up this order. I was on the phone with him. She came in with an attitude already and I told her like you have to wait a second cuz I was on the phone. And then we don't give receipts to any of them, so So, she asked for a receipt, so then I was like give me a second. Let me print it out for you. Um she put in the hot stuff with the cold. I told her not to and she didn't listen. So, I was like could you give me back my items? Because I don't trust you taking it or like or I can deny you taking orders. She's like no. And then she had her phone here, so I grabbed her phone and um she's like I'm I'm not going to give you my my the items. I was like well, give me my items. I was like I don't care. I don't want you to give me the items. So, then she's like I will punch you in the face um that he was like oh, give her the things. Like no, you know, you can't take it. She's like well, it's just cheesecake and she threw it and I was like the point is that it's hot and cold, but I tried to explain to her and she didn't listen. She's like I will punch you in the face you stupid She kept saying it and I was do whatever you need to do and she punched me and I like I was like right here and she kicked me. I'm pregnant. I'm like a week away. Okay. It was enough reason to take her into detention. So, the officer didn't waste any time and took her into custody. Unsurprisingly, the suspect was not happy about it. Okay, because you're being placed under arrest. Please exit the vehicle. You're being placed under arrest. Please exit the vehicle. Disorderly conduct. I need you to exit the vehicle now. We'll discuss it later. Ma'am, you're under arrest. Please exit the vehicle. Okay. I'm calling my mom. >> Exit the vehicle now. You're under You're under arrest. Don't touch You're under arrest. Please exit the vehicle. Turn my phone off. I'm calling my mom. Please exit the vehicle. Officer, I'll get my children for you. Please exit the vehicle. You're under arrest. Wow. Okay, well, let me go ahead. Exit the Exit the vehicle. No, you're exiting the vehicle. I'm going to call my mother. You're going to exit the vehicle because you're under arrest. Come to this side, Chris. Come to this side, please. Please exit the vehicle. You're under arrest. Mom. I'm under the under the ground. Can you stand you up, ma'am? Can you come to the front of my squad, please? Sorry, I didn't say to face the front of my squad, please. Do you have anything on you that could harm you? Any sharp objects, nothing like that? Do you have any property on you whatsoever? No. You don't have any property on you, no keys, no wallet, nothing like that? No. Okay. I don't I don't have anything. I don't carry anything. Can you go ahead and move your feet for me? Can you go ahead and move your feet for me? No. I got to walk to the store. That's all right. I I got to walk to the store. Well, we don't have a female officer present, so we don't know. We'll switch switch out. Ooh, I got it. I can do it my damn self. Did you touch her at all? >> I didn't. My my um the supervisor did. He grabbed her and he like [music] escorted her out. >> Okay. And she was kicking and she kept saying that she was on her phone with her mom. Okay. That's not Yeah. Did you ever get the food back? We did. We just gave it to another Dasher. Okay, perfect. All right. All right. Yeah. She like threw it, so we had to um redo it. redo it and fix it, but she threw it on the floor and she threw the the cheesecake or the chocolate obsession at him. Okay. Okay. Order was damaged, so you got kicked and punched. >> punched, but it wasn't like like a punch. It was just like a punch, but then she I was right here and she like swung with her She tried to kick me. Okay. And then that's when he jumped in. He grabbed her and he escorted her out. Did she hit you with like her her right hand or Yeah, so she was like there like you and she hit me like this. I was right here and then [music] that's when she tried to kick me and then that's when he grabbed her He grabbed her completely and escorted her out. Okay. Like picked her up. >> Fist, open hand? I I don't recall. Okay. I just know my my hair was like Okay. Did she grab you at all or No, it was just like the moment that she hit me. Where did she hit you exactly? Like maybe like right here. Your Where your glasses are or above your glasses? Like like here like right here. As the conversation continued, the victim shared some crucial information about her condition. It's wild how a simple action could become so dangerous. And for the suspect, she had just landed herself in serious legal trouble. I don't want to say like yeah, she hit me like completely kicked me, but She attempted to kick you. Whether she did or not, you don't recall. Okay. And you said you're like 8 months 8 and 1/2 months pregnant. >> 38 weeks. You are right there. 38 weeks. We just took her into custody. I'm assuming you that this is what you want, right? >> I just wanted her to leave. I don't want her like come in here and do like a racket or anything. So this is so for my standpoint, this is a battery and disorderly conduct. Because she struck you, that's battery. What There's different levels of battery, but she created a disturbance in here as well, which is disorderly conduct. So it could be a misdemeanor or it could be because you're pregnant, that changes things a little bit, potentially changes things. Do you think we should take her downtown or just keep her in our jurisdiction? That's kind of I don't know. Whatever needs to be done. Do you want her to get a big slap on the hand or a little slap on the hand, I guess is the easier question. >> on the Okay, there we go. Then it means she's going to go downtown or this will get referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney versus staying in our little court. You being pregnant, at some point the District Attorney is probably going to want to talk to you and just see how you're doing. So she does not have a CCW. Okay, so that is something else. All right, she's here. She's in the back squad. What's up with the car? So I found magazine on the floor, passenger side. Unloaded firearm in the center center console. Okay. So you're going to be coming back to the station. What do you need out of your car? Uh for battery and disorderly conduct. Okay. Yep. Is there anything you need out of the car? Just your cell phone, nothing else? So you only need your cell phone is all it That's the third time I asked you, so So you only want your cell phone, correct? I Your car's getting towed, so because you're under arrest. For what? For battery. How would it be battery? Well, you struck No. You struck somebody in the face. Yeah, she has marks on her face, so Grab me and so I kicked her with the I needed my phone. Okay. All right. I'll We'll just grab your phone. That's fine. I don't have it. Jamoa was charged with battery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, operating while intoxicated, carrying a concealed weapon, and endangering safety by using a firearm while impaired. While Jamoa ultimately faces the consequences of her actions, our next suspect tried to be smart, but it didn't go as planned. Okay. Okay. Stop. Stop. Stop. Police in St. Petersburg initiated a traffic stop on May 1st, 2025 after noticing the driver's license was revoked. While one officer checked the driver's documents, the others kept an eye on the backseat passenger. Stop right here. Your front tires are over the stop bar. Are you registered owner of the car? Yes. Okay. Well, it's also showing that the registered owner of the car has a revoked license. Revoked license? Yes. So you got your registration and your insurance on you? Well, right now it's a traffic stop, so I don't know. But I ain't with that, man. I'm just trying to get back. Do you have any weapons or anything in the car? No, sir. No. Do you have anything illegal on you? No, man. So you want to you want to get checked out and leave? >> Land? You want to get checked out and leave, you said? No. You just said you want to leave. >> my license. Now you're saying no. >> Registration and insurance, please. Where you guys headed? I'm headed to the gym, actually. I'm I'm about to close up for tonight. Drop her off and The gym, huh? Yeah, I'm headed to the gym. The last time we dealt with you, you were at the Wawa. Remember in that Tesla? Here it is. Uh I usually put it in my armrest. My insurance, I need that. Yes, please. On my phone. Do you have that on your phone? Let's see. What's the relationship between you guys? Nothing. He's giving me a ride. He got to go to I'm just an Uber driver. Oh, you're an Uber driver? Yes, sir. I got money to do that now. Where Where are you guys going? I'm headed back to the gym. Is she a fare or what? I'm I'm just going to drop her off. She said she wanted to get out of here. She can get out She can get out if she'd like. Is that Did you want to get out of here? >> I'm just being a nice guy. She didn't She didn't have anything. At one point, the officer noticed the backseat passenger reaching for something. The cop felt uncomfortable, so she wanted to search her, but it did not go as planned. I ain't got nothing. I'm not going to ask you again. Step out of the car. And come to the back. I'm good. Come back here. I got to sit down. Turn around. Turn around. And put your hands up on the car. Let go. Stop reaching. Stop moving your arms. Stop. Okay. Okay. Stop. Stop. Stop. Do you have any needles >> Stop resisting. Stop resisting. I got it. Hey, I got her. Grab her. Grab the cuffs. I got her. Go ahead. I'm not resisting. Okay. I'm not resisting nothing. Stop. Just give us 1 second. She's not abiding by police commands. We do. I ain't got no weapons. You got to step out of the car. You keep reaching. >> step out of it. I did step out of the car, bro. And now when you keep reaching inside of your pocket it's I got money. That's it, bro. Can I just go, please? I passed that. You're offering me Despite the woman insisting she had nothing illegal, the officers weren't convinced. They searched her to see if she was hiding anything. What did you use today because it seems like you're What is going on right now? Can you Can you Can you talk to me, please? What is going on? >> [cheering] >> Stand up, please. Stop. >> After finding nothing obviously suspicious, the officer still needed to check her bag. Seeing her begging, it was hard to tell if she was hiding anything illegal. Yeah, I'm comfortable. No, already I'm 15 for NDL. That's all. Go ahead. Yeah, please. What did you say? He uh once she's done with that cigarette, she can go and get her phone. Yeah. Why? Okay. You're good. Thank you. My It's unlocked. The woman was charged with resisting an officer without violence. While the woman was causing trouble, our next suspect took things even further, making choices he would quickly regret. There's a reason traffic rules are strict near schools, and everything this man did went against them, especially when he ran into a no-nonsense cop. On September 11th, 2025 in Western Springs, Illinois, a police officer noticed a man driving recklessly in the wrong lane right in front of a school. Concerned about his dangerous driving, the officer initiated a traffic stop to address his actions. You are now on a traffic stop. You will give me your driver's license right now and your proof of insurance. Your driver's No, no, no. No. Driver's license, driver's license, and proof of insurance right now. Or I'm going to pull you out of the car and I'm going to arrest you. You are not doing No, for the reason coming up the middle and pulling in when I told you you can't. You came up the middle. I'm telling you right now, you're making this You're making this a lot worse for you. You are making this a lot worse for you. No, you are getting a ticket. You are getting a ticket. I don't care. You can tell the judge you're sorry. Don't tell me you're sorry. When you go to court, you're getting a ticket. Pull your car over right now. If I'm going to pull you out of this car and I'm going to arrest you. Yes. For not providing me your driver's license when you're supposed to. That is the law. 6-112. You came up the middle and pulled in after I told you not to. This is not the place to argue a ticket. You want to argue, you do it in front of a judge, not with me. I'm out here for a reason, for the kids' safety, and you're not doing what you're not supposed to be doing. Okay? So, give me your driver's license. I'm going to tell you something. If you don't give me your driver's license, you're going to get arrested. Do you understand me? Yeah, you will be arrested. 387, I'm going to need another car out here by the car right now. When the other person gets here, you are getting arrested. I'm writing you a ticket. Because you did not follow directions and you're arguing with me, you're getting a ticket. You're getting a ticket. And you're going to get arrested. You're going to get arrested. When the other person gets here, if you don't give me your driver's license, you're getting arrested. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. You're not following orders. I told you to give me your driver's license, you're going to get arrested. This is not I got a guy that won't give me his driver's license, but he won't step out of the car. No, you are. I told you to give me your driver's license. I asked for your driver's license, you're going to get arrested. First, the man broke a traffic rule, and then he wouldn't give the officer his information. The officer was running out of patience, trying again and again to get him to cooperate. The man kept pushing his luck, pretending to look for documents, but really just wasting time. In the end, it didn't go well for him. Guys, step out of the car. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. Step out of the Step out of the car. Step out of the car. Step out OF THE CAR. TURN AROUND. Put your hands behind your Turn around. Put your hands behind your resisting. You stop resisting. I told you. I gave you many options. Stop Stop resisting. Stop You're resisting. Stop resisting. You know what? You really resist, force is going to be used against you. You understand. Stop Stop resisting. You resist You understand. Do you understand? Okay. You're under arrest. You're You're under arrest. Do you have any guns, knives on you? Sit. Get in the car. Get in the car. We'll get all that. Don't worry. You're You're making it big. You're not sorry. I know you're not sorry. Get Sit down. Sit down. You're going to Now you're under You're going to jail and we're towing your car. He came up the middle and he went to turn in and I'm like you cannot turn in here. You cannot turn in here. He continued to turn in. And I stopped him at the at the entrance there and I said you cannot come in here. You cannot drop your kids off and he started arguing with me. I said pull over and give me your driver's license. He said I'm not giving you my driver's license. I said when you come back around you're going to pull over and you're going to get a ticket. And he tried to find another way out over here and then he came out over here and he argued with me for a few minutes and then I'm like that's right. I'm going to get another car over here. We're going to take him into custody. I'm going to take him in real quick. Once he was being transported to the station, reality hit hard. He realized his little stunt wasn't worth all the trouble. They're in the door. It's too late for that. It's too late for that. He wouldn't follow directions and then argued with me and then I told him that I was going to be writing a ticket and he said no you're not. And then uh when I told him this was a traffic stop, give me your driver's license. No, I didn't do anything wrong. Why aren't you doing everybody else? Why are you doing me? He tried to turn stuff when it came time for it but let's go. I didn't do anything wrong. I respect the law. No you don't. I'm not going to argue with you. I'm not going to I'm I'm done arguing with you and I'm done talking. You don't. I told you. You're being charged. You're being charged. Not only are you getting a ticket but now you're also under arrest. I'm not explaining anything else to you right now. I'm not doing it. You made this a big I'm not talking. I'm done. I'm not talking. No. I'm having a wonderful day. You argued with me from the very beginning. Nope, sorry about that. At the station the man changed his mind insisting he had done nothing wrong and starting to argue. Little did he know everything had been recorded in a police body cam. No. You're going to court. You're going to go in front of a judge now. I I told you. And you argued with me. And then you argued with me. Here's Here's the problem. Here's the problem. You don't stop talking and you don't listen. Okay? You don't stop talking and you don't listen. That's your problem. I told I told you multiple times the reason why you can't See this is what I'm talking about. So I'm done. I'm done. When we get to court you'll have a chance to go in front of a judge and tell your story. Just so you know everything's on camera. Everything. All of your actions are on camera. That's not what That's not what happened. That's not what happened. That's not what happened. It's not what happened. You're See I'm trying to tell you and now you keep talking over me. But you keep talking over me. And I told you. And you said no I'm not going to No. Okay, I'm done. I'm done. This is the last time I'm done. I'm done. It's my fault. It's You're absolutely right. It's not a big deal. That's why you should have given me your driver's license when I asked for it immediately. You did not. No no. I don't need to explain to you. It's not a law. I don't have to explain to you. If I ask for your driver's license you must provide it to me immediately. Yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah that's exactly what happened. And it got you in and it got you into trouble. Yeah. No you didn't. You did not. You told me you didn't have it. That's not what you said. That's not what you said. That's not it. You know what? I want you to keep talking because the judge will watch all this video. Keep talking. Keep talking. The man was charged with failure to provide a driver's license, resisting arrest, improper lane usage and disobeying a police officer. While this man caused a scene over a simple traffic stop, our next suspect took chaos to a whole new level. Alcohol can really change people and in this case just a couple of beers turned the man into a ticking bomb. Police in Naples, Florida responded to a call about a domestic dispute between two brothers fighting inside a car but the situation turned out to be much worse than they expected. You're not in trouble for drinking. Your parents didn't serve you cuz you weren't with them today. However, your behavior dictates that it's probably because you're under the influence of something. So, the officer tried to talk with his mother to understand what had happened. As time went on, the man became a real headache. He's almost 21, we know. So, that's where we're at right now. He's not a kid anymore. You can't go around beating on even if it's your sibling. No. It's not like they're two younger brothers. Quiet. >> We're friends. Quiet. Jimmy, just shut up. Yeah. Uh Do you have a key? Just get a hotel. Take him to a hotel, maybe. I don't know. Stop. No matter what the officer did, the man wouldn't calm down. Being belligerent and refusing to cooperate, the officer had no choice but to detain him. No. Stand up. Stand up. You're just saying all this stupid stuff right now. Turn your head. All right. Now, he's starting to get aggravated with the parents. 10-15. I need a I need a justice card. Yeah, just go over here. I'll be with you in a minute. Stop. Where did you How far did you walk? Well, my car's way over by yours. >> I have no idea. I'm going to go We're going to walk him over and put him in the car right now. All right. Yeah. It's super tight on my wrist. I just need you to do a supplement I take it just cuz you witnessed it. All right. It's super tight on my wrist. Yeah, I will adjust it if you calm down. The fat That's the dad. >> He can talk to him right there. Yeah, it's super tight ON MY WRIST. >> [screaming] >> YOU CALM DOWN. YOU WERE STARTING TO GET AGITATED. YEAH, let me just adjust this cuff. Can you stay calm while I adjust this here? Yes, yes, I can. All right. What did you have to drink today, okay? You're not in TROUBLE FOR THAT. YOU ALREADY ADMITTED THAT. He was moving too much so I can Hey, Trey, that one too? Just take a breath, all right? As the officer searched him, the man showed no concern about the situation. Instead of cooperating, he chose to be difficult and ended up causing a scene. >> [screaming] >> Did you have anything that's going to poke or stick in your pockets? Any knives or needles? No. Hey, relax. Relax. Take him out of pocket cuffs, all right? Tell me okay. All right, come on. Ready to go back to my car, buddy? James, other than drinking, did you do anything today? No. >> Any weapon? No. This is important. You're not in trouble for it. We just need to know. No, I didn't. All right. Look, James, there's nothing in the back of my car. Is there anything I need to know about before you sit down? >> No, there's nothing in there. I can search You can grab the seat belt ON THAT SIDE. I'LL BE FINE. WATCH YOUR FOOT. NO. STOP. No one's talking about your brother. Put your foot on the After detaining James, the officers weren't done yet. His mother approached them, hoping to influence the outcome, but judging by his behavior, things didn't look promising. Here's what's going on, okay? Like I explained to you there in the car, okay? When there's a domestic in the state of Florida, we really try to err on the side of taking them to someone to jail. I tried to work around that with you know, with with them promising to behave. He just made it worse. And he made a good, you know, and even doing the separation in the Uber, that would have been okay. But like my partner said, he did He's just not letting it go. And he's escalating to a point where it's going to get worse, and he probably He's probably going to do it at the house. And like I said before, I don't like passing my work on to someone else if he can't behave. So, Well, he's going to jail. He's for domestic battery. No, and I need I need you to calm down. I need you to I need you to Listen to me, Mom. Listen. I need you to wrap your heads around this, okay? Okay? He's not going to jail. Your son is going to jail, and he's lucky he didn't go He's not going to jail for resisting cuz he started to act up over there and pull away while we were trying to to change his cuffs out. So, what is he being arrested for, officer? The battery. Domestic battery. No, he didn't He didn't hurt It was actually he was being It doesn't It'd be underage drinking. We're not even going to go there, okay? We're not going to start changing our stories to fit a narrative to keep him out of jail. So, you want your other son to go to jail instead? No, I think you need to be honest here, and you go to jail. I think you need to be honest. He's going to jail. You're going to let your son go to jail? He's not letting me do anything. He's going to jail. He's going to jail cuz of his own attitude. He didn't hit anyone. He really didn't hit anyone. I was trying to stop him. >> It's the unwanted touching of another party against another person. That's it. I don't have to have >> So, when he goes to jail, how Now, how long will he be in there for? Well, it's a holiday weekend. No, he's not staying overnight in jail. No, you He's bipolar. You can't Please Well, then they He will let the jail know that. Does he Does he Does he take Does he take Does he take any medications for his bipolar behavior? Yes, he does. Okay, what does he take? Um Abilify. No, please continue. And you know that you're not supposed to He didn't hit anyone. And you know that you're not supposed to make He's admitting all that. They were fighting. They were going back and forth. Well, you know what? Him trying to be a got himself jammed up a little bit more, didn't it? Please don't keep him. Please. And the fact that he's on a on a prescription medication mixing with That's a terrible combination. Please don't. >> Cuz your son's going from being compliant, like we are right now, to escalating where he wants to everybody. And you weren't You weren't here when he was screaming he's going to he's going to kill all of us. And now this is not normal behavior because of his medication mixed with alcohol then that needs to be addressed. Okay. Then that will be addressed when he gets to the jail. Okay. I tried to work with everybody in the car and it just kept escalating and escalating and escalating and I could not in good conscience at that point let anybody leave the area. The officer still needed to check on James's brother since he had been involved in the fight and also his sister to see if she had noticed anything. And it's Is your other son back here? Yeah. Okay, I just need to talk to him real quick. Nothing. I don't think he needs to be arrested. >> Okay. Come here, bro. He didn't even hit you. All right. What happened, man? We didn't exchange any fists. We're We're I mean like we're a wrestling family so we were arguing. We just started like kind of I guess you could say tussling like it wasn't wasn't anything like What do you mean by tussling? Like I wouldn't say I I couldn't I could I can't speak for him if he threw a fist but he didn't throw a fist at me. I don't remember connecting with him with anything that like would be considered a blow. Okay. >> And it's just more of like wrestling just cuz we come from we're from North and we're all wrestlers and It was nothing No, I know but what the Walgreens Do you know what the streets were at? Uh it's at the intersection of 41 and Lakewood. 41 and Lakewood? 41 and Lakewood or 41 and Avalon, it's one of the two. And we just pulled over cuz my dad couldn't get us to stop wrestling in the back and So you all were actually wrestling? Like I wouldn't not like literally like wrestling match but I don't know how to describe like >> said like tussling like Okay. Like we're just like you know what I mean. We're just guys out muscling each other. Okay. >> And my dad couldn't get us to stop warring in the backseat. >> can see some I can see some minor marks like right here, man. Uh these might be from lacrosse. Like I have a bunch of bruises right here. These are all from I cuz I'm a lacrosse player, too. So I have a bunch of bruises from lacrosse like here, my triceps from getting checked. I mean it it it was nothing like an actual fight. It doesn't matter, man. Yeah, I understand. At this point you all were hitting each other in the back. Yes, sir. All right. Like small little marks like that, that's fresh cuz you can see the skin that's already ripped. >> I mean these could also be from wrestling. Some wrestle three times a week normally, too. I mean I don't really even check my body for this kind of >> looks fresh, man, regardless. I just need to take a picture of that, okay? This is like nothing. Yeah, it doesn't matter, man. Like I explained to you in the state of Florida simple unwanted touch is all it takes. Because it's a domestic >> It's a domestic battery. Yes, sir. He's getting arrested under domestic battery. Yes. Can you make your brother stand right there with your feet at your side, okay? Okay. Just got to do a full body No, no, feet at your side. Just like this, like standing at attention. It's all it is, man. Yeah, I was not drunk once. Okay. I need to get your name, okay? My name? Mhm. You're not in trouble. You just in the vehicle in the vehicle with him. >> Oh, um A L E X A. All right. His birthday is um I have all his information so But I don't think he needs to be arrested. >> It's it's the state of Florida. Yeah, our hands are tied and that we don't have a lot of discretion when it comes to that. And your brother I don't you didn't when we got him over there he was wanting to Okay, so he's under the influence of something and it's affecting obviously his mannerisms, his behavior and if you're saying this is not like him then definitely something going on that needs to be addressed, okay? And it could be and your mom said he's on medication for bipolar so that's not a good combination to combine the two. >> No, and he usually doesn't so I just feel like >> and probably I'm not giving any excuses. >> No, I'm not making excuses for him either but >> [clears throat] >> um It's just like I feel like it looked the situation looked a lot worse than what actually was going Well the problem is what if they want to you know what if they got worse and you didn't know that and you got in an accident, you know, and everybody gets hurt Right, I just like I would it would really nice if he doesn't get arrested cuz now our whole vacation is like Everything was going smoothly until the officer was getting James ready for transport and then suddenly he went out of control. Hey! Hey! KNOCK IT OFF! HEY! HE'S SMACKING HIS HEAD AGAINST THE GLASS. HEY! I'M GOING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING RIGHT NOW. OH, COME ON. BATTERY ON A Leo now, just so you're aware. Battery on a Leo. He stood right in my face. Hey, we'll do that. We'll do the intake. Okay. AND THEN JUST >> [screaming] >> NAPLES STATE 121, OC DEPLOYED. Take your card. Starting mileage to NJC 954. Yes or no?
