Get off the car now. Get off the car. All right. Are you done? Are you done? Meet Marlon Jimenez, who had a long rap sheet, 22 criminal cases, many tied to domestic violence. Yet despite his record, he tried once again to take his wife's life. My kids mention It all happened on June 20th, 2024 when the Los Angeles police were called to an apartment complex after receiving reports of a domestic incident between a man and his wife. The caller, the victim, reported that her husband, 45-year-old Marlon Jimenez, had brutally beaten her and put her in a chokeold. Operator 267. Uh, yes. Hi, good morning. Could you guys send over a police? What do you need the police for? Uh, domestic domestic violence. It's going on right now. Uh, no. It it it happened last night and this morning, but I wasn't able to find my phone, so I was just able to get a phone. Now, where is it that happened? Uh, we started arguing and uh he he he hitting me and holding me down and kind of Okay. Put me in a choke hold. Did you need an ambulance? Are you okay? No, I'm okay. He's not there anymore. He's gone. No, he's sleeping the bedroom. Okay. So, he doesn't know you're calling? No. What's your address? I'm waiting for 571 Avenue. Is that a house or a Okay. You said 57? Yes. On Edawanda? Mhm. Okay. To get into the building, do we need a code or do we call you when we get there? If you can come and set us in. Uh if you guys go through the middle gate is if you guys can call me when you guys are open up app up here to open the door because if you knock it you might wake up then I don't know. Okay. So we have to go in through the middle gate. Yeah the middle gate of the building and then we're on the Okay. Okay. Hello. So, you don't want us to knock? Just just call. This is my I had to wait for my daughter to wake up and borrow her phone. This is the phone. So, we can we can call you back at this number also. That's okay. You can you can call me when you guys are outside the door because if you guys knock, like I said, I don't know if he's going to wake up. Oh, okay. And who is this person? Is this a boyfriend? A husband? A husband. Okay. What's his name? more than two minutes. Is there a history of domestic violence or is this the first time? No, it's happened before. Have you ever reported it before or is this the first time? No, I reported it before. Okay. How old is he? Um 45 46. Okay. Are there any weapons in the house? Did he use any weapons on you? No. No. Okay. Your first name. I'm sorry. What is it? How do you saw that? Okay. All right. I'm going to send the police over there. Okay. They'll be there shortly. On arrival at the scene, officers found the victim appearing distressed. She then explained the situation to the officers, revealing how Marlin had been abusing her. Respect. Yes. Do you want to close the door and come outside? Okay. What happened? My daughter argued last night. He was asking me something about a map for my car. Like, what were you doing there? Where'd you go? I don't know. Where do I go to that building? I don't know. You remember going to an apartment building? I said if I went to an apartment building someone, I would remember. And then he blew up and it just everything increased his night and pushed me. He put me on a choke. Did you lose consciousness? No. I couldn't I couldn't believe you. Um this morning I got up. I was getting ready to work. He said, "What are you doing?" I said, "I'm going getting ready for work." I said, "You're not going to work, Lord. You're not here last night." I said, "I was, but I have to go to work." Said, "You're not going to work." I said, "I'm not asking you for permission." So, that's your problem. You think you can do what you want and you started again. And then he threw me on and I dragged it out. He said, "If you want to leave, just leave." So, I was like, "This is my chance." So I got up and he was still behind me. He put me in another cho again and I was like I feel like it was too close up for me. Did he punch you or anything? Can you look up those scratches? Are the scratches? Oh, that summer man. And where is he? Right here. This you fell asleep. How big is he? How much? We're just going to get to know. What's his name? Or has he ever have he ever been out here before? Guess he better miss it before. Yeah. For for what? To miss it. Okay. So, this is the first time he played us. How does he complain? How is he with us? Sometimes he's okay. Sometimes does he use? Does he use? I can do this. I don't know why. The cops slowly entered the room while Marlin was sleeping, but once awake, he became confrontational with the officers, insisting that he was being mistreated and that his wife was not the real victim. What? That's [Applause] Police Department. Go ahead and stand up for me. You stand up. Space that wall for me. What happened here? Come out here. Yeah. Come on out. Step out. You're good. Yeah. We need you to turn around and put your hands behind your back. I'm asking you a question, man. You guys are going to create a Look, you guys are going to create You're done talking. You guys are going to create a situation, man. We're done. Marlin became increasingly irate, asserting that the situation was manipulated against him. As tensions escalated, the SWAT team arrived to manage the situation in their way. If you're going to get sergeant fall into my kids mental wellbe, I'm asking to not violate my right. After examining David's injuries, the EMS squad decided to take him to the hospital. However, David, crying from pain and seemingly unaware of the crime that had taken place, led the officers to question whether he was truly responsible. You trying to shoot people? I'll grab it. Look at this brok. It almost fell off. Well, not a driver license, credit card. I think I might be able to find it. Yeah, that's what you got in your nose. Yeah, you're doing just fine. Thought I knew my life with nothing but racist. You got all that information you need. Uh, did you did you take the vehicle from a stop after it was initiated after somebody ran on foot? Is that what happened? Were you obstructing our investigation at that time? I came to see what y'all were doing to my child. Were you obstructing our investigation by taking a vehicle? I think you were. I believe you were. Hold up. The last time y'all let the dogs dead beat my child. Y'all beat my child. I got five of y'all fired the last time. Trust me. I got the FBI involved last time. I got five of you last time. You can call CIA beat my child the last time. That wasn't sheriff. I don't No, that was Mary County Police Department right there. Lord, don't tell. I was I know about it. No, I got five. Five of y'all. Sheriff. It was the Mary County Police Department. Well, they don't have police department. That doesn't exist. OPD police department. It was both of them. So, whatever it was, we're not doing anything. We're not supposed to. I'm not scared. Davis was charged with attempted murder, fleeing from law enforcement, and resisting arrest without violence. He had a prior criminal history that included assault and battery. Now, take a look at this daring suspect, Jason, who fired a shotgun during a road rage incident. But for him, it was too late. He only realized the magnitude of his mistake when the police closed in. Sir, let me see your hand. Step out the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle. Before stepping out, take the keys out of the ignition. I'm not going nowhere. Go over here. I'm not going anywhere. All right. Keep your hands in the air. Now, face away from me. On September 26th, 2024, police and Duncan responded to a report of a road rage incident involving a man who was shot while inside his vehicle. The caller provided a detailed account of the event surrounding the incident. Although he didn't have the vehicle's license plate, his precise description helped identify the perpetrator, and he accurately pinpointed the incident's location. I just got my Blazer on the road yesterday. It's been broke down for about a year and a half through a transmission. Yeah. So, I got it on the road. I figure I'll go see a friend of mine in Dellon. So, I'm over here on this main road. What was that? 484 464 484 I think it is. Okay. Here's this blue truck speeding up behind me. So before when I had transmission problem, my vehicle would just like almost immediately stop in the road. So I figure I'll get in a righthand turn lane, let him go by me. So he goes by me, right? I get back on the road and then short distance ahead, he makes a a right-hand turn. He turn his turn signal me, right? And as he's turning, he shot me a bird. I went down the road a little ways. I turned around and I followed him and then he pulls off the side of the road. I pull off side of him, rolled down my window. I explained uh that I'm having transmission problem. I didn't want you to run into me. That's the reason why I got off the road. He didn't want to hear none of that. I don't know if he shot my tire or it just went flat. I don't know. You know, I don't know, sir. I don't see any Maybe he didn't shoot it. Maybe it just went flat so I can I could not be far from you for him to kill me. The guy's ashole, man. You heard one shot only. Yeah, he had a shotgun. Pretty sure it was a shotgun. I'm not a gun expert. I don't even have a gun. I don't even have a I have a knife over here. You have a driver's license on you? Yeah. He made a right-hand turn and went to his home right over here. And then uh What do you mean over here? He You know where he lives at? Yeah. You go right to this road here, first road. Make a right. He lives right there on on the right. You know the guy who did it? No. No. Okay. As I went by him, do you guys license plate number? No. No. What kind of vehicle was it? It was a blue truck. A blue truck? Yeah. It might be kind of looked like the front of mine when he was behind me. So it might be a Chevy. Was it over there they shot you at? He was standing I guess in his yard when he fired the gun and as I drove by. What color was his house? Oh, I couldn't tell you that. Uh it's I think the second house on the right when you make a right. Second house on the right. On the right when you make a right. Yeah. You'll see the blue truck. You don't need no medical attention, anything like that? No. He has a wooden privacy fence and and a look like a old uh cargo trailer I think there. So basically he was you were driving in front of him. He was driving behind you in a blue truck. Right. And between that he saw that you were driving too slow. No, I went I was doing about 55. I just wanted to get off the road so my transmission wouldn't give me problem and I stopped in the road right in front of him while he's and he got angry because of that and he cut you off and you went behind him. to tell him what the reason why you doing doing that cuz you didn't want him to get angry for that. If somebody shot you a bird, would would you be mad? I'll be mad too. Yeah, don't get me wrong, but this way to actually just drive away from that. As the details of the incident emerged, the man expressed concern that the suspect could be dangerous, fearing the situation might escalate now that he had involved the police. I think at first that you shot me, it was just like the devil was trying to get me not far from so kill me. Here, I got a knife here. See if you could pull something out. It might not even been a shotgun. I thought it was a shotgun. It kind of looked like a shotgun, but I'm not. Is it a black rifle? Brown looking. Brown. I think it was brown. Do you know this guy? No. No. What happened was, see, I've been having transmission problems. So, I get on the road 484. He comes speeding up behind me. So, I figure I get in a right-hand turn lane that goes to a housing development. Let him go by it. So he went by and then a short distance ahead he makes a right hand turn. I don't even see a shell in there. I was And then he shoots me a bird. He talks over shoots me a bird. So I follow him down that road. I turn around. I follow him down the road to explain to him, you know, the reason why I let him go around me because of my transmission. He wouldn't hear it. He would not. He didn't. It would hit the rim also if it's What kind of vehicle is he driving? He's driving a blue I think it's a Chevy. He just lived right around the corner. I'm going to go over there and bowl it real quick cuz see if he's over there. What? Uh when you say he lives right over there. I guess that's where he lives. That's where he went. I take it to be that's his home. Can you describe the vehicle? It's a blue truck and I think it's a Chevy because it kind of looks like my front of my Chevy. And it was a pickup pickup truck. Yes. You never seen this car before? No. No. He was pissed off because, you know, I don't know why he's just having a bad day or something. I didn't want my vehicle suddenly have transmission problem. I come almost to a complete stop and then he crushes into me from behind and then we're killed or injured. The investigation seemed complicated when they found a vehicle matching the victim's description. The initial suspect claimed he had just gotten home and hadn't seen anyone that morning. Was he telling the truth, or was the real aggressor further away than expected? Sheriff's office. Sheriff's office. Hey, stand behind the vehicle. Thank you. Hi. Hi. I'm Deputy Roman. How you doing? I'm good. I'm good. Deputy Melendez Mar County Sheriff's Office. Yes. Is this your vehicle? No, sir. You know whose vehicle this is? Yes. Is he here? Huh? Can we talk to him? Yes. What happened? Won't talk to you. Hey, how you doing, Chief? Good. How you doing? Good. So, I'm deputy rolling for Mary County Sheriff's Office. Yes, sir. Uh, the reason why we're here is because we have a suspicious vehicle that's kind of the same one as yours. Yeah. That had an incident that occurred not too long ago. I was wondering if you had any incident that just occurred. No, sir. How long ago was this? Cuz I literally just bought this truck and it at all. It was today. Oh, today was today. He literally just I literally just got home. You literally just got home from Walmart. Where was the incident at? Yeah. Were you guys uh were you involved any type of, you know, altercation with somebody today verbally? No, sir. No, I literally went to Walmart, got transmission fluid, transmission fluid and um what's that called? Some type of stuff for additive for the transmission. But anyways, yeah, I just went there. So, no real rage with nobody. Nobody gave it to you. It was a little rage or anything like that. Okay. Gotcha. Um can we get your ID just to say we the incident was today? It was like a road rage situation. Yeah, kind of. That's it. Yeah, it was like it a little something we trying to investigate. That's it. What happened? You know, we're not sure exactly detail by detail. We're trying to figure out who the person was. And I just want to see if you were in that little incident with road rage and I just want to get your side of the story if it was you. You know, but I didn't I have literally not talked to anyone this morning at all. The clerk at the Walmart gas station. Got it. Got it. Got it. Hey, I'm 104. Look at this. What is this? This truck over here being nosy. I'm sorry. We We don't got that much good signal here, but we are at the registered owner of the vehicle, which he actually called in. Yes. Still a heavy duty truck though. As the cops approached Jason inside the vehicle, he had a chance to flee, but officers blocked the path with patrol cars. Fortunately, everything went smoothly and Jason quickly surrendered. However, something crucial was missing. The weapon that would confirm they had the right person. So, we're going to do a 1050 on that vehicle. Felony stop. Hold station. 33. Sir, let me see your hand. Step out the vehicle. Step out of the vehicle. Before stepping out, take the keys out of the ignition. I'm not going nowhere. Go over here. I'm not going anywhere. All right. Keep your hands in the air. Now, face away from me. And I want you to step back to the sound of my voice. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Get down to your knees. Put your hands on your head. Hey, put your gun up. Get your cuffs out. Hand still, sir. Stay still. You got any weapons on you? No, sir. All right. Just hang tight. Yes, sir. Keep your hands there. I'm not doing nothing wrong, sir. Good. Hang tight. And my arm broke on that side. Okay. Got an extra handcuff on you. I was just going to look at my trailer. It's all right. All right, sir. Hold on. I know. I got you. I got you. Two clicks. I know. I know. I don't have anything on me. You got I was threatened. All right. Stand up. You threatened. Yes, sir. All right. What we're going to do? Walk over to the vehicle. 619. We got one to 10 station. I don't have anything on me. You sit down though. What happened? Well, before you ask any questions, we're going to lose your rights. All right. Just protocol saves me, saves you, helps the situation. Okay. You want to go the truck still on? Yes. Okay. Want to turn the truck off? What uh what happened? Um come off the highway. this guy. My wrist is really You can probably see the guard like I It's kind My my picky's going numb. Can you just loosen this left one for me? It's killing me right now. Face away from me. I mean, turn. I can't turn. It's kind of hard for me to I can't really turn. I got legs. Um, you want me to back up to that door? Yeah, just back. The man was charged with four counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, discharge of a firearm near a public highway, and cruelty to children in the second degree. Relatives are supposed to be a blessing in our lives, but in this case, things took a dark turn. This evil uncle, driven by sinister intentions, poisoned his nephew's meatball sub, plotting to end his life. The betrayal is not only shocking, it's a haunting reminder that evil can lurk even within those we trust the most. Off for you so you can chuck them here, please. Thank you. Y right ahead. Keep a hand on him real quick. I ain't going nowhere, man. Well, and we just have to like per our policies, we got to make sure we keep our hands on you. All right, you're good. You want to slip back in there? Yep. Thank you. I appreciate that. You want to hold the tongue up for you? You good? No issues. No worries. All right, cool. Yeah. What's the charge? Um, listen. Felony. What is this? Oh, you can talk to Officer Luchuk when he's done doing his interview. On December 13th, 2023, a Penllis Park pizzeria owner called the police to report customer James Leech for intentionally poisoning a meatball sub meant for his nephew. The police spoke with the pizzeria owner who described James' disruptive behavior and explained how he conspired against his nephew. He then provided footage of the events. Do you know his first name? Jimmy. Jimmy what? I don't know his last name. I've only got a I got a name and an address for you where it's going. Yeah. I'm assuming he's going home. This is his address. That's the one I have in the system for Jimmy, right? Yeah. Okay. Is he an Uber driver? No, he was picking up a to- go order. He called in ahead of time. Okay. So, we don't even know if he's giving that food to anybody. He may have said it. He's on his way home. So, I assume it's for his nephew like following it. I got to be honest with you, sir. I mean, I know I'm doing the right thing here, but I'm a little worried about retribution. This guy is not He's not right in the head, and he's not a small dude, and I know he has guns. All right, let me I I if I probably run into him for it. I wouldn't stress about it, right? Cuz he's I never know if it's going to be you. If I It's hard for me. Who else Who else could it be? So, what the point I'm trying to drive at is like I want to see the video. I got to figure out how to move forward with this. I was kind of hoping unless the guy actually got violently ill and had to go to the hospital, we wouldn't have to move forward on it. I just wanted to make people aware of it so people don't think I'm poisoning people. No, no. I if if that's a crime right now at this point, right? Tampering with someone's food, right? He's not a delivery driver. So the different the hard thing is is I can't tell. I have to talk to him, right? Unless you just want to report it as information only, right? But the problem is so a felony. That's a felony of tamping someone's food. Okay. Um Yeah. And I, you know, and if that's the case and he gets arrested, then he's not he's not going to be arrested tonight. It would be a for the state's attorney and they would take a take a look at it. Right. Because that's not I have Let me see the video. Let's start over there. Is he a white guy? Yeah. Older, younger? Late 40s, early 50s, if I had to shoot you to guess. Oh, no. No. I would say like maybe mid-40s full sleeve tattoos. Yeah, I wouldn't say 50s quite yet. I said early 50s. I don't know. I feel like he's just mature. Maybe that's what I'm thinking. Yeah, probably. All right. Listen, I know you're it's it's you're a little stressed out about this right now. We'll just one thing at a time right now. Let me I want to see this. I want to see if I know who this guy is. Um, all right. Just go a good How do you know he doesn't like his nephew? That's what he told me. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Guy uh he's like he didn't wake up till 3:00 today. He's like, "He's a be blah blah blah." And like leading up to that, he like mushed the sandwich like he like hit it while it was on the counter. Like cuz he's like, "Yeah, I don't [ __ ] care about that kid." Give it a couple minutes. You're going to see me uh come out and talk to him for a couple of minutes. Then he's going to ask me, you know, ask me for advising. and you'll see me come to this table to grab it. The cops reviewed the footage and confirmed the chilling reality that the nephew had consumed the poison sandwich, unfortunately having eaten half of it. Yes, I saw him put it on the sandwich. You saw literally pouring in there. Okay, this drops down, please. I already contacted poison control. They seem to think it wasn't fatal unless he uh It's not It's saline solution. That's all it is. So, it's like stuff you get in IVs. Same thing for your eyes. Okay. But I know some of them uh I think certain active ingredients actually can be cuz I thought I saw something like that on TV where someone was in the news where someone actually poisoned their food a little time and they got really really sick. Maybe it was just Hollywood. No, I think so. You calling and overcoming the anxiety you're feeling right now to talk to me about it. I'll just we're going to decide how to move forward here in a minute cuz I've never actually dealt with this before. Uh this is 10 years police. This is the first time I ever dealt with something like this before. Two of us. But next time, yeah, even if he's half in the bag, rip the out of his hand, so you don't do that here or trespass him. That would probably be your best bet. That just gives us legal teeth. He comes back here, take him to jail. Um, one, this is actually a way more serious felony than we thought it was. So, it's first degree. Um, listen, at the end of the day, you did the right thing. I know it's a lot to We'll put patrols out here to make sure your doesn't get by him. Appreciate that. Um, having some problems sending the video. I'm not ignoring you, of course. Nope. Uh, the second thing for you is which sandwich was his nephew's meatball parm sandwich? Did it was there two meatball parm sandwiches? No, it was one meatball parm sandwiches. Two halves. We cut them in half. And and did it was the other thing that he p opened up was that his sandwich or something? Yeah, he didn't touch that one. Just one to interrupt 8:30, right? Correct. So, they're not supposed to have it ready until we're ready to get here. Correct. Why did they already do it? Yeah. But that was only meatball punk sandwich. So, he said it was first after and they did it. Correct. Okay. Um, what did he say exactly when he uh poured the stuff on the sandwich? Would you be willing to write a statement of what happened? Uh I you can say no. It's not a big deal. No. No. I mean I I honestly like I can't tell you verbatim. He was just, you know, going a million miles an hour was cuz he was drunk. He was, you know, a like talking about how the kid hadn't woken up since 3:00 and he just said, you know, I freaking hate that kid or something like that. I I just I I can't say. But then he did that. Okay. Yeah. The police went to James' house and questioned him about the situation, but he acted like he didn't know what was happening. Then based on the evidence, the cops detained him. Hey guys, can we talk? Police department. Hey Jimmy, can I talk to you for a minute? Hey, shut off. I know. I got dogs. Yeah, I know. I saw my go. No. Okay, girls. Yeah, I help you. Huh? Hold on. Let me get the girls back. Okay, girls. Come inside. Go around on the porch. The porch? Yeah. All right. Oh, got a lot easier. No, I don't care. What are you here for? Um, sir. Oh, is your nephew here? Yeah. What's his name? All right. Did you just order food? No. Did you just guys just order food from the pizza joint? Yeah. What the food? Nothing. Why? Let me go. You want to go get my daughter, too? She was there with all this happening. All right. Can we actually we just get the nephew? I want I don't I don't even know what you guys are asking me. Hold on. Hold on. I'm going to I'm going to explain everything to you. Okay. But I I got to talk to your nephew first. Okay. About um Is he here? Yes, he's here. Could you front door? Yeah. Yeah. Well, I don't Did I do anything crimly wrong? Uh right now. Right now, buddy. You Am I being detained? Yes, sir. Four? Yes, sir. For tampering with food. Tampering with food? Yes, sir. How? Okay. But he's an adult. So, I literally watched on the security footage. You take a bottle of Visine on a meatball parm sub, pour it out, say it was for your your uh your nephew, right? Close it up, put it back in. That's why I talk to your nephew. So, why would you do that? Who would talk to my nephew? I need to talk to your nephew. What? He call you guys? Doesn't matter who called. Well, I don't answer questions about my lawyer. Okay. Well, you are detained at this moment, so you're not free to leave while I speak with your nephew. Okay. All right. Just uh give me a second. Um excuse me, J. Am I being in charge of something? Yes, you are, sir. Oh, really? This officer is our primary officer. He's going to need to talk to the the adult nephew that you said is here. Is he inside? Yeah, he's getting a shirt. Okay. Um, so do you know what your daughter was? Your daughter wasn't there. I know. Daughter was there. I watched the video. There was no one there. You watched the video. There's a video of him. What happened? Hey. Meanwhile, the police spoke with the nephew to learn about his condition and to unravel the twisted motives behind his uncle James' heinous act. You're not in trouble. You're not in trouble. Hey man, what's your first thing? Did you eat meatball sub? Huh? Did you eat a meatball sub for dinner? Uh, was trying to. Yes. You taking any bites of it? Uh, couple. Okay. So, your uncle here. Okay. He poured visine all over it. Yes. I mean, all over it. It can make you physically ill. It can make your Have you been pooping or anything like that? Do you feel okay? Yes. Okay. How many bites do you take of it? Maybe a few. I lost my appetite during the fight or not. It wasn't a fight, but it was an argument. You just took a couple bites of it. One or two. You want to get checked out by the medicics? Cuz listen here. Here here's what happened. Okay. Clear as day. and watch him open your sandwich, right? Yeah. Say, say to the other people, okay, that he bought the sandwich with that. Don't look at them cuz they're I know they're kind of pains in the I know you're stressed right now, but I just want surprised. He clearly does not like you. Um, long and short of it is this, okay? Is that he opened up a sandwich that was meant for you. He poured a bunch of eisine over it, which can cause uh severe stomach contractions, right? In clean in in in clear day of a bunch of other people. Do you see what I'm saying? That's not okay. That's not okay. You can 23. Correct. Correction. 22. Um, what's your first name, buddy? So, listen. You're a victim of this, right? And it's kind of that's going on right there. Is this your mom? Yes. No, he's the only one that had to be. So, we're going to get him checked out by the fire department. Okay. Um, you you're an adult, right? This is a tough spot, right? Okay. Cuz you're still going to come here. Obviously, mom has got an issue with grand. Is that your grandma? Yes. Grandma's got an issue with you. Uncle's got an issue with you, right? Um, that doesn't give him the right to do that. Further clarification upon further. I'll explain to you. The cops assured the nephew of his safety while he pressed charges against his uncle James. The officers then moved forward, taking James into custody and transporting him to jail. I'm going to tell you right now, it's going to get probably Harry in here. Okay.
