Despite this, Sarah continued to be uncooperative. Daughter was involved in a collision. She left the scene of the collision. So she's in She shouldn't have been driving to begin with. Cuz she's suspended. So, regardless, she's going to she's going to be a in custody here in just a moment. Okay. I also suspect she's under the influence. She says she's detoxing. She was But I don't I think she's not detoxing. I think she's under the influence based on her kind of erratic statements and so forth. So last Friday night she entered the detox down in Oregon. She'd been in an accident and she was over by the school, so that's where we were trying to look. I I got her daughter's in the car and we were home, so Okay. So that's kind of where we're at, Al. Is there any way you would just Would you be able to convince her? She appears that she doesn't want to come out right now. And we don't want to have to use force. We don't want to have to use force if we I got you. You want to talk to her? Yeah. Thank you. I'll have her come over and just talk to Well, here's the bottom line of everything. I honestly don't know. Being that you guys could give me my money to do anything with my possessions and come check you out. You can do that later, but Well, then there's nothing else you're going to give me, I don't think, because Okay. So, then let me ask you about the incident, okay? And probably not going to be released today. And I don't know if she's got a prior history of DUI. Um it depends if there's a prior or not. You don't have to tell me. I'm just making conversation with you. So, why did you call a backup? I have to. That is um policy as whenever we're out with people with warrants, we have to have backup. Cuz you never know uh who you're out with and if they have warrants, and especially yours is an obstruction of a law enforcement officer, so. So, is this a warrant for my arrest in Georgia? Georgia is out All I know is it says out of Clark County. So, that means like I wouldn't be able to get arrested anywhere else except Clark County. I don't know. Maybe. I'm not 100% sure, though. So, I'm just going to be there with other people and what's I'm going to do? So, how does that work? Uh you're going to be with only girls. No, you won't be near any guys. Um Jail is usually pretty safe, and if anything does happen, they have guards, and they'll hop right on and help you out. Then they'll separate separate So, how did you all know to separate the people in jail? No, I ran your So, I was at that light, and I ran your tag. So, you ran your car tag? I run everyone's tag. How do you do that, condition? I go to vehicle, and I run your tag. But, you're not running tags right now as we speak. I'm not running tags cuz I'm with you right now. So, When do you run tags if you're not? If I'm not doing something. So, cuz let's say I were to run the this tag right here, the car next to us, and it came back that the person in the the had warrants for murder or something. But, I got you in the car. I would I can't stop it. So then I just let go let a murder go, you know? So how long has there been a warrant out? Uh I don't even know if it'll tell me that. Um it doesn't look like long. Couple weeks ago. I guess something happened a couple weeks ago. Or some family members. I don't need the whole story. Uh you can tell me if you want, but you'll have to talk to a judge about it anyway. All right. Get out? Yeah, you can get out. We're just going to go to that door right over there. Are you people like nervous like this all the time? Um occasionally. I feel like most people that get arrested have reasons to get arrested and I don't have a reason to get arrested. Well, you do have warrants, so there's a there is a reason. And it's you got those warrants. And family violence, I mean it's pretty serious, so. Be smart. I'm trying to be. What you got for? What's the warrant for? Uh three counts of family violence and obstruction of a law enforcement officer. And what's the background? As the officer stated, she was booked on her warrants, which included three counts of simple battery related to family violence and obstruction of a LEO. It all started with a fine, but things quickly spiraled from can you help me to call the cops? Buckle up. This family drama goes from zero to 60 real quick. I don't know what else to say. He put his hands on me in my last pregnancy with my first and he actually closed his punch me. Did I press charges? No. Should have. On August 9th, 2024, officers were called to a volatile domestic dispute between a pregnant woman and her father after a simple disagreement over paying a fine quickly escalated into a heated confrontation. Yes. Okay. And he gets in my face, starts yelling and screaming at me because I'm not doing it over the phone. I can't hear on my phone. My speaker's It's easier just for me to go up there, give them cash, and call it a day. Get my receipt, okay? Apparently, that's not good enough for him. I don't know what else to say. And he's going to get up, start screaming at me. It's not like I was yelling at my mom or anything. I mean, I just said, "Hey, can you take me up there, go pay my fine, and show me how to put money in my bank account cuz I made a bank account yesterday and I've never had a bank account." Okay. Okay? I don't even know how the [ __ ] any of this started. Honestly. All right. All I know is he's in my face screaming at me. I pushed him back. I'm pregnant, okay? How far along? I'm probably 6 to 8 6 to 10 weeks. Okay. I'll find out officially the 14th. Okay. Who What's mom's name? All right. Other than that, that's I mean, he kept screaming at me. I screamed over him so he could hear me. I'm like, "What the [ __ ] I'm not even trying to argue with you." Got you. I'm not trying to fight. I have two kids here as is. No injuries, anything like that? It's just all all verbal? Verbal for now. Okay. He didn't get in my face. I pushed him back. All right. Okay, I'll talk to him. Friendly? Not friendly? I don't know. Just depends. You they know yet? Yeah. All right. Well, let's talk out here if that's all right. I got I got her side. I'll talk to Robert here. All right. So, what's going on? No, no. She started talking about paying her court fees and getting a ride over there and then she wants to get belligerent and jump in people's faces and Okay. So, I yelled back. Next thing I know, I get punched in the mouth. Okay. Then she runs out here talking about, "I'll call the police on you." Yeah. The mouth is hit? Punched in the mouth. Any injury? Bleeding? She's a little girl. Yeah. I just Yeah, I have to ask. I got to ask. It's part of my job. All right. So, verbal argument and then punches in the face with which hand? Right or left? I can't tell you. She right or left-handed? I have a TBI, so I wouldn't know. Short-term memory loss. Okay. I just know that's what happened. Okay. Anybody else in there see it? Kids. All right. Other kids? Yeah. Okay. 13-year-old and a 15-year-old. All right. Um Did you hear all that? Yeah. So, verbal Um about paying fines. You heard everything he said? I told you you paid on the phone. She didn't want to listen to me about two things that if you use his credit card on the phone, you guys are just going to keep yanking money out of your account. And I had to explain to her that I do it every month for court fees. Yeah. Traffic fees. So, you just told her you could pay it online and she got mad. No, I told her she could call the clerk's office and pay it over the phone. Yes, exactly. And then she punched you in the face. Just once? Yeah, she was just getting her way and when she gets her own way, she throws a little fit and throws a little anxiety attack and punches me. Okay. Just punched you once? Yeah. Well, I mean, not me and everything else, probably, but whatever. It is what it is. And she is biological father, right? Okay. All right. I got her side of the story. She is uh believed to be pregnant. Probably, yeah. Okay. Six to six to 10 weeks, somewhere in there? Hey, Megan. Stay on out here with us, okay? All right. so got verbal, then what happened, okay? He got in my face and he was screaming at me. Okay. And you Pushed him away. You pushed him away. I wanted him out of my face. I don't know what else to say. I went like this not like I literally went like this. I had my wallet in my hand. I went like that. To his face, chest area? Just go like this, be out of my face. All right. And he intentional hit him in the face or just pushed him away? even It wasn't closed fist or nothing. Okay. Were you trying to cause harm to him? I was trying to get him away from me. Not hurt him, just get him away. No. Okay. All right. I'm going to talk to her in a minute. The situation intensifies with conflicting stories and family members weighing in, complicating the narrative and increased stress. So here's what she said. Okay. She said you were you guys were obviously agree you guys were yelling at each other. She said she went to push you away, face, chest area. You think that's the case? Do you think she closed hand? No, there's no way she did. Did she punch you? She went like this. She hit you? But I don't know if it was Okay. Do you think she was trying to physically hurt you? Always, but that's just her. All right. You willing to fill out a written statement? I'm not doing all that, man. It's my daughter, man. She's got two kids, two on the way, one on the way from her. She just needs to learn how to keep her mouth shut, to be honest. All right. Well, in the state of Ohio, it's a little different. Family members punch each other, okay? You're going to be arrested today for domestic violence. I don't have a choice. Now, that's up to the state. Well, that's what she wanted to do, so whatever. It's done either way. I know how it works. Trust me, I know exactly how it works. All right, then. Whatever. Yeah. I can only get to her by yelling. So That's why I had to specifically ask you if she punched you or pushed you. No, she punched me, but here's what it is. How old are to kids in there? Can I talk to them? 13, 13. Okay. I don't want any type of confrontation, but the longer I stayed there, the worse it got. Okay. She done I'm trying to grasp up off the floor. She over kicking me, knocking me down. Like you asked me to turn it off and I did. Mhm. I don't know how it got to this level. I really genuinely feel it would So the only way I can handle that is for me to leave. She didn't want me to leave. So I had to sneak and go to the bathroom and call the cops. And we on the phone. Heard her at the door banging on the door, let me in, let me in. Don't be locking no doors in my house, like he heard all this commotion going on. And as soon as she heard the cop on the phone she go, he can leave right now. He can leave right now. I'll go talk with her. Officers then confronted his mother, who was clearly showing signs of stress and defensiveness. Hello, police. Hey, are you Angela? Come on in. You're coming in, but this is embarrassing. Okay, well, can you step out from behind the door so I can make sure you're not hiding anything from me? Put that down. But wait, you're coming in my house. Calm down. Okay, well, I'm the police, so put the gun down. Well, I'm I'm entitled to have my gun. Okay. Don't come in here with no no riffing and raffing. Was there a physical altercation? What's going on? What did he say? What did he Sir, I don't know. What did What did he say? You asking me something that maybe he told you about? I don't know. I'm just asking you what happened. That's all. telling you I don't know. So, you don't know what happened between you and your son? No. My son is 31 years old. I've been raising him. I know he got a new girlfriend and he probably want to go home to her. So, I don't know. You have to ask him. You asking me a question that I don't have an answer to. I'm asking about your side of the story. He's giving us his side of the story. I'm asking about your side of the story. I don't know what the story is. You asking me I don't know about a story. This is the thing. I don't know. So, your son wasn't in here earlier? I said he was here and I think he wanted to go with his girlfriend. Okay. And that's all I know. Was there a physical altercation between you and and I don't have physical altercations. Did y'all were y'all arguing? Or I'm just trying to figure out what's going on. He was in the bathroom. He went to the bathroom. Uh-huh. And then he was I couldn't find out he was on the phone with somebody on 911. Uh-huh. That's all I know. Got you. He was supposed to leave in the morning with the dog. He said he would leave in the morning. Uh-huh. And then all of a sudden he said I thought he was going to the bathroom cuz he said he got through the bathroom. The couch I pray radio. That's why if if there was an altercation, this place would be upside down. Sure. And it wasn't. He got My son has a problem communicating. Got you. to leave, he should have just said he wanted to leave. Got you. I found out on the phone. And I said, "You know what? Is that You want to leave? Then go ahead. Get your stuff and leave." And he went out the door with a different police officer. I don't know if that was you. We had a domestic. That's it. Like I don't know. He has a problem communicating. Got you. I just wanted to make sure you weren't hurt. I wanted to make sure Are you going to see him cuz he left door open and he knows this is his dog, right Jason? So, I'm I'm going to put this away. I don't like you walking around close to this dog, do you understand me? And the reason the reason the reason I was a little frustrated is because you were hiding behind the door with a gun. I announced myself as police. Okay. I got you. Okay. Angelica, can we move past that? Oh, you know my name. Yes, I do. Okay. So, it's nothing to talk about. Try 32. different question. What does that have to do with my son? So, why would he be so upset to call the police? That's what I want to know. Listen, let me tell you something. And I don't like to say this about my child. But, it's hard for him to communicate. Mhm. I don't want to say he had ADHD. I don't want to say all that stuff. Right. It's hard for my son to communicate. He has a new girlfriend in his life, his first girlfriend. Uh-huh. And he's excited. My son didn't have glasses. So, he had to stay here. So, he would use my internet Right. to work for my He just got his glasses that I got for him. Uh-huh. Once he got his glasses, he wanted to What is it? Actually, have a mask on. I don't I don't think it's called a mask, but once he got his glasses, he wanted to leave now and go back to his girlfriend. Got you. And he didn't know how to communicate that. Okay. He didn't know how to communicate that. Mhm. Darius' mother denied keeping him from leaving and dismissed claims of any physical altercation, maintaining her version of events while showing clear frustration. So, he's thinking I'm going to get upset. Listen, you're a grown man. Right. So, he figured if he I said to him, "Don't leave tonight. He was I wanted I said, "Okay, put the dog to sleep." Mhm. I said, "He's waiting in the morning." Cuz he don't have to go to work till 3:00 p.m. Got you. I said, "Don't pick Don't take the video this late at night. Right. Wait till the morning and leave. It's 4:00 something in the morning. Uh-huh. And that's it. He doesn't know how to communicate. Got you. And then once I thought he was talking to his girlfriend on the Uh-huh. And then I mute the television and once I heard the conversation, I thought he was in there talking to his girlfriend. And I said, "Excuse me, if you want to go, you can go." Cuz then I heard him saying stuff like, "shit." Mhm. "Shit. I'm trying to get shit." And I'm like, "Well, if you want to leave, you can leave." Mhm. But I didn't I didn't know he was on the phone with the cops. Got you. Okay. He could have gone. Mhm. But he messed it up before cuz he doesn't talk to him. And you'll understand that when I say I love my child. I I talk to him. I talk to him. He's saying you didn't want him to leave. You're holding him in here and I didn't want him to The dog is on medication. He stopped taking care of the dog. Uh-huh. That's my only thing. I love FIFA. The dog That's why when they give you the medication He leaving without the baby medication. The baby got ear infection. He not taking care of the dog. Mhm. I want him to stay as well to take care of the dog. She got a big gash for 10 days. That's my son. Yeah. And I love the dog. He leaving without the medication. Okay. So what I asked you, the first thing I asked you, give the baby medication. I don't want him to sit out there waiting. Does he Does he have the dog with him? Yeah. So can I take him the medication? If you want. I want you to see him. See what? My son. I've already I already know where your son is. I've been talking to him. He's outside in the parking I don't know if he has the dog. I don't know if he I don't know if he put the dog in his car or what. I'm not assuming to you at all. I didn't see a dog out there. That doesn't mean he has a dog or not. He don't want me to take the medication. You're the one that's fibbing to me. I'm asking you if anything happened, you're giving me the runaround, you're saying you you don't know anything about a story. So tell me answer me this straight. Did a physical altercation happen or did a verbal altercation happen? have a discussion, but please lower your voice in my house. Okay, well you're not You're not going to come in here and and and tell me I'm a liar, okay? You're You're not going to tell me I'm a liar. You said I was fibbing. No, okay. I didn't say a lie. A lie and a fib are two different things, just like a fallacy. They're all two different things, but they mean the same thing. So, I'm giving you respect by using certain verbage. So, answer the question. Did a physical altercation occur? me that already. What did I say? Do I look like I've been fighting myself? Look at me. I'm just asking a question. It's a It's a It's a yes or no question. I said that to you already. You're asking me the same question. Okay. This is so embarrassing. All right. Okay. Let me put a mask over This is a a All right, sir. Did you close the door all the way? Cuz this is humiliating. I have neighbors. How may I help you guys? Well, just trying to figure out what happened, the way the call came out. And I'm not going to lie, when I when I came out in the hallway, I I was pretty easy to pick out which apartment cuz I heard yelling and bumping and all that. Yeah, because by then I realized I said, "I thought he was talking to his girlfriend." I thought he was going to talk to his girlfriend. When I realized No, I didn't realize. I thought he was talking to his girlfriend. So, I went in there and go, "Hey, what are you saying to people?" When I realized it was 911 on his phone, guess guess what? You can get your stuff and you can go. So, that's probably what you heard. Because I I warned these people. I'm telling people what I wanted. Well, I I actually I I heard like the sound of thumping and bumping right around here. Cuz No, no, that was the door. That was Beta. That was the door. I had to tell her to hit the door. You could see paws and everything. So, that was probably the door. Uh-huh. What I wanted, he just got his glasses. Yeah, he couldn't He can't drive. His glasses broke. So, he's been staying here and he said, "Mom, I need glasses." I paid for his glasses. Uh-huh. And he got the glasses. So, I said, "Go home in in with Beta." Because my son could barely take care of himself. I wanted the baby to get the medication cuz I had the medication. Beta has been here with me all this time. The medication for the dog? Yes. Okay, I got you. The ear drops and the antibiotic. Okay. That's all I was saying to him. I was like, "Just stay for the night so I can make sure Beta get She takes her last medication at 10:00 in the morning." That's all I wanted. I didn't know you having a fit to where you calling 911. When I I thought he was in a way he was calling his girlfriend. When I realized he was in 911, "You know what? You come out, take your dog, y'all go." Why would he be calling 911? That doesn't make sense. Because What you're saying doesn't make any sense. him to stay. I thought he was trying to go with his girlfriend. It's 4:00 in the morning. Man, just stay. Just stay for the night. Leave in the morning because he can't hardly see at night. That's why he just got the glasses. He just got some new glasses. I'm just being a mom. I want to make sure the dog take the medication. There was no alter He in the bathroom. What you heard with the door thumping. Once I realized he's escalating in this thing, come out, unfortunately, take your dog. He left all his other stuff cuz he's been here for You want to see his He's been here for over a week with the dog. The discussion further unraveled, exposing hints of deeper family issues, unspoken frustrations, and the struggle between control and independence. He's been here since like middle of October. Yeah. Yeah. And since he just got his glasses, now he wants to dismiss mom and all that mom has done and he want to leave. But fine, we agreed in the morning. Just let Beta get her last prescription because he hasn't been giving the baby the medication. Just give her the last prescription in the morning and you I don't know what he got scheduled with his girlfriend, but he lost his mind now. He I got to go now. It's 4:00 in the morning. Let the baby sleep. She's on medication. She went to the vet today. Today. Because she's still scratching her ears. She's not well. Okay. Even though he said he'd be back by October, you know what? He left. He just got baptized. He left Sunday to get baptized and then he came back. He's going to take the baby. He took the baby with him. He had the medication. He did not give her the medication. When he wanted back, everything was still in the bottle. And he said, "Oh, I'm sorry." I'm okay. Oh my lord, y'all kidding me. Well, you caught us in shift change. Yeah, come on. I'm sorry. Just I just don't want the neighbors. This is an embarrassing situation for me. Where Can you close it all the way, please? Cuz I don't want Thank you so much. What more do y'all need to know? We're just trying to get your side of the story. That's all. not really a story. It's my son. He want to leave. He want to go with his girlfriend. I didn't want him to leave cuz the dog is sick. The dog on medication. He left without the medication. I just wanted Beta, the dog, to stay for one more day. Mhm. He's been working from here the past like a week a week week and a half. Man, he just got his glasses. So, now he want to get his glasses and he want to run. And his mama, who's been taking him for 31 years, just stay here for one more day. Mhm. He couldn't even do that. He got the glasses today. Where did Where did um I could get the lens plastic bag? It's around here somewhere. It's okay. Huh? It's okay. Yeah. That's all. And he doesn't know how to communicate to me, "Ma, I'm 31. I want to leave. I'll be responsible." I found him in the bathroom when I mute the TV and I heard she she she, but I thought he was talking to his girlfriend. But it was too much she. Even with Tommy the boyfriend, you're putting too much on your mama. You're not telling the truth. I go in here on the phone, I see 911. I had no idea you did It's It wasn't that serious. You could have taken the dog. It wasn't that serious. I don't want to make a commotion here where I live. This is in He was told to go back to where he lives in Tucker, Georgia. I'm in Johns Creek. I got to remain here. You think I would cause confrontation here? I've been here since 13 years in Johns Creek. Take care of my baby. Take care of my son. Take care of my child. But now you fell in love. If you want to go with us You could have really stressed that to me, "Ma, I really want to go." He doesn't know how to communicate. You call 911? But I found out that the hard way. As the disputes persisted, the officers found themselves caught between conflicting accounts, with both parties digging into their sides of the story. Angela, do you have your ID on you, by the way? Of course. Thank you. I found out that the hard way. And are you good if I give him the dog's medication when I walk out? Oh, my baby will be taken care of. All righty, thank you. so embarrassing. Well, we're trying to make it to where it's not that way. I know it's tough, but we got to come out when we get called. I know you didn't call us. I wanted to get your side, that's all. I'm post-certified. I want you to know this. When I moved here, I sold at Lee Arrendale, and then I was a state trooper. Okay? I'm post-certified. Okay. So, I'm I'm okay. Okay. No, you're your DL, if you have that driver's license. I got trade you. Mhm. And this year? You better believe I'm done. So, you can believe we made a message, his mama done. So, this year This is not I'm I'm from New York City. We don't do this. If you want to you fell in love, you can leave. If you just would have been transparently honest. This what you do to your mama? I'm done. Yes, ma'am. So he going to find out the hard way. This not what you do to your mama. This is all you got. My son, he can't really function like a normal person. It's It is what it is. Is he diagnosed with anything? He I just got him a job with the IRS. Mhm. I just got him a job. I helped him find a job with the IRS. Mhm. And this is what you do to me? Mhm. So now he thinks he can make it on his own. And I wanted you with your independence. But this is not all I wanted was one more day so Vita could take all her medication. Because you weren't doing it. Well, when somebody's claiming they got hit and pushed around and stuff like that then I got to We got to We got to talk. That's all. Right there back in here. And and you would be here. I hit you? Mhm. Tell me that what happened. This is what you telling them. See cuz I didn't know where he was in the same. He left. If it was that case, I wouldn't have let him leave my premises. Right. For that long time. And I knew he was on the phone. I heard him. The officers attempted to mediate the situation by ensuring that Darius could gather his belongings and leave safely. You being post certified, that's why we have to get the whole story. That's why we have to get the whole story. So you know. He's got the dog medication. He can take the dog bed. Mhm. He can take his little stuff that's in the closet. Mhm. He can take his clothes that's in his chair. Hey. He can take his Bible. Yep. He can take his stuff and he can go on where he live in South of Georgia. What's that? I want him out of my house. Okay, ma'am. So tell y'all to go ahead and get him out.
