You're supposed to be a role model. >> Drop it. >> Want to know? >> It's not too bad. >> Harley, >> Kaylee. Yes, sir. >> Okay. She's been here three times, right? >> This is my third time. >> So, she could probably tell you how the process goes. What? >> Yeah. You're the older one. You should be telling her, "No, we don't need to go into Walmart and steal makeup." You know what I mean? >> It ain't going to happen again. I promise. >> No. I told you I grew up in a rough household, too. Right. >> And I made that a reason to run, not a reason to do crazy things or go run in the streets. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> All right. >> You can use the phone down 9 and no area code. Okay. Make as many as you need to do. >> Can you hear me? I'm in jail. You get outside, ladies. Don't come back. We won't >> take care of yourselves. All right. >> Thank you, too. >> You're welcome. Just follow the red line. Make it right. >> All right, girls. You'll be good. >> Thank you. And thanks for your control. Paul Victor 2. Paul Victor one. >> Hopefully they learn from their mistake and we don't see them in here again. All right. You'll be good. >> Thank you. Thanks for >> Bye-bye. >> Bye. >> I was born and raised in Amarillo. Uh spent most of my life here. Town's changed quite a bit. Um a lot more drugs, a lot more violence than when I was a youngster. I take great pride in knowing that I'm helping uh keep the street safer just by being here and and doing my job. Have a seat right here, man. >> All right, Dalton. What's going on tonight? >> Just got in with into it with uh the wife. >> Got a little physical between the two of you. >> Not really. I mean, I I uh I accidentally busted through the window of the car, my car, but I did not mean for that to happen and got got taken to jail for it. >> What were y'all doing? She wouldn't give me my keys and I was trying to get them for about 2 hours from her. She just wouldn't give them to me. >> Why don't you call the cops? >> Cuz I I just have had bad experiences with them before. So, I don't like calling them. >> So, why wouldn't she give you the keys? You've been drinking. >> She just likes to She don't want me leaving cuz it was late and I wanted to go night fishing. She didn't want me leaving. I guess she doesn't trust me. >> Go ahead and stand up. Turn around. Face the wall for me. Um, you want to do the pad down? >> I go and remove all the items from your pockets. Choose the next two, please. >> Okay. Step right over here. Hands up on the wall for me. Bring your feet back towards me a little bit. Spread apart. Nothing else on you, right? What are these? >> Oh, pills for my mom. >> Left front pocket. Lift this foot so I can see the bottom. Watson 857. >> What kind of pills are >> there? Okay. >> Here's the second one right there >> to the top so I can see under it. Can you lift your tongue where I can see under it? Okay. Have a seat. >> That was a good job and find those pills. >> He says they're hydrocodone. >> Where did you find them? >> I found them in the left front pocket of his pants. >> My mom can verify. >> That's what we have the courts for. So they can determine what they want to do deal with. She wanted me to go grab a couple for her cuz she has fibromyalgia. She never asked for them again and me and Catherine were fighting so I just never got to give them to her. I forgot they were even in my pocket. >> Well, you're going to get charged with them cuz you can't have other people's prescription medications in your possession. Especially they're not in a pill bottle. >> You all right? >> Yeah. >> We're going to process you in and uh once we finish the process of the booking, you can make phone calls afterwards. Okay. Awesome. Ready to get out of here. >> Just have a seat over there with the rest of the gentlemen. All right. >> So, what happened tonight? >> Didn't assault her. >> Didn't assault her. No. >> Just busted the window out of the car. >> Yeah. I got to pay for that now. >> Yeah. >> When I busted the glass, it uh hit her on the nose and she had a little blood spot. So, I guess the cops freaked out thinking I was >> Well, you caused bodily injury on her. >> Didn't mean to. I mean, >> that was a complete accident. It wasn't was not intentionally at all. >> So, what have you learned from tonight's experiences? >> Learned to keep my keys in my pocket, >> not carry other people's pills in your pocket? >> No. >> I didn't think I was going to jail. So, Right. Okay, Dalton, if you'll step up here for me, please, sir. All right. You are here on a charge of assault causing bodily injury, family violence. >> Sure. >> Class A misdemeanor. Okay. Has a $5,000 bond. Sir, >> you're also here on a charge of possession of controlled substance penalty group three. It's for the two pills that were found in your pocket. Okay. >> That also is a class A misdemeanor. Has a $1,500 bond. So, a total of $6,500 in bonds. You can bond out on those tonight. If you do bond out on them, there is a 4 hour hold on the assault charge. So once the bond gets here, we have to hold you for an additional four hours before we can release you. >> Okay. >> Okay. That gives us time to notify the victim. >> Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> I need a signature right there by that X. That's just stating that you understand why you're here. That's the property you came in with and that that's you. >> Okay. Um, so you gonna be back for this again? No, >> sir. You're going to do something to uh go get some help with uh >> go to church. If I'm out by Sunday, go to church on Sunday and talk to the preacher about counseling. >> Sounds good. >> Sure. >> All right. You can hop on the phone, make you a couple of phone calls. Dial 9, no area code, and then the phone number. Okay. We get quite a few coming in on domestic violence. You know, it's just a lot of a lot of people have anger issues. Um alcohol has a lot to do with it. Drugs has something to do with it. You know, it's just one of those things. Ever since I was little, I wanted to be a police officer. I'm currently 24 years old and you know, I've been working the booking section for a little over a year. I love my job. You see different stuff in the jail throughout the whole day here. >> What's going on? What's What's her problem, man? She's delaying the process. She didn't want to go through with uh taking her muck shot. So, she's going to be in there for quite some time and she she comes down and you know hopefully she cooperates >> TO THE ZONE, BABY. >> I guess she likes using that middle finger. >> Even in the mug shot, she was flipping off the camera. >> What is she in here for? >> Fade to ID and hand application of a of a felon. So, her bond's only $2,500. Yeah, we'll go ahead and try to talk to her again into taking that much. >> Her husband's going to pass through right now, so just make sure he doesn't talk to her right now. >> Sir, go all the way straight, >> sir. Stay away from the door. >> Okay, talk to her. Tell her to calm down. She She'll be all right, man. Come on, >> babe. Let's go, man. >> Let's go. >> Calm down. >> Calm down. >> Come on. Let's go. All the way straight down. I understand. Calm down. They'll probably help you by putting shoes. Calm down. >> All right. Just look straight at camera number one, sir. >> So, why you in here for, man? >> Probation violation. >> Probation violation. What's the deal? Why is she so upset? She's upset because she got arrested and she didn't do anything wrong. They were there to pick me up. >> Okay. >> And they arrested her for harboring a felon or something like that. >> Okay. Right this way. Just have a seat right there on that bench. Make sure you don't talk to her. All right, man. Just use the phone and that's it. All right. >> Let's go, man. Let's go. >> Let's see what's going on. >> Oh, you're talking to her, man. We told you don't be talking to her. We're all just trying to figure out the numbers and call my mom cuz I don't know how >> going right there, man. >> This guy's trying to talk to his wife. >> He doesn't listen so he can get off the phone. >> So, how you feeling? Everything's good. You ready for your muck shot and to move the process forward? Yeah. All right. Just go ahead and step out real quick. >> Uh hopefully this time she cooperates. All right. Ready? Look straight here at camera number one. I'm glad you come down. It makes the process go faster. It's going to be fine. It's nothing. It's just a little block on the road. >> You're going to go ahead and bond out. You know, it's going to make everything move. Now, I'll go ahead and uh let you use the phone. >> Sounds good, man. >> Just have a seat right here for now. >> Love you, baby boy. >> All right. >> So, I was talking to your wife. She says, you know, you violated probation. What's going on? >> I had already told him, I said, I'm already coming out. I'm already coming out. I'm I'm I'm here. Here I am. You know what I'm saying? And I went out and I and I went outside and they they handcuffed me. Whatever. I mean, why is my wife not? Of course, my wife's going to get mad. They're arresting me. You know what I'm saying? She didn't do anything wrong. If anybody did anything wrong, it was me. You know what I mean? You know, sometimes life gets a little too hard and then you're like, you know, you kind of lose focus for a little, you know? >> You do. You do. But, you know, it's part of life, you know. >> Yeah. >> You know. All right. Let me go ahead and uh put you back in here. >> Tell her that uh to to just be calm cuz I don't want her to give any more charges. >> Okay. We'll do No, I will. And I'll go ahead and uh bring you some sandwiches as well. All right. All right. >> Okay. Paloma, right this way. >> Is there anybody in here? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Just go ahead and step up here. I'm going to ask you a couple questions real quick. >> You're married? >> Common-law. >> Common-law. How many kids do you have? >> Two. >> Two. It's really It was stupid just cuz I wouldn't show an ID, >> right? >> Are you serious? >> You know, I'm pretty sure they'll cut you some slack. >> I hope so, man. I don't want to end up with a felony. >> Yeah, I know. Just keep your head. >> See something so stupid. Yeah. >> I know. And your husband told me to tell you that he loves you and everything should be pretty good. All right. Just go ahead and have a seat right there and you you'll go ahead and get to use a phone next. Okay. After she's done. >> I know the frustration that's going through her head. you know, her kids, you know, her husband in here as well. He has no mana at the moment since he violated his probation. All those other things, you know, going through her head, you know, make you explode and at times, you know, you don't cooperate. Hopefully, everything goes goes well for her and she moves forward and everything should be good. your charges. You got three counts of deliverance and control substance and delivery of marijuana. That's >> my MO. >> So, I've been noticing that you've been coming in since 2006. That was your first arrest. Drugs. Drugs. Drugs. Drugs. >> Yeah. >> Why drugs? Is that your make of way you make money? Yeah, that's my hustle. >> So, what made you get into it? Like, what age were you stuck? >> I started selling at 16. When I finally went to prison the first time, everybody said they never going back. Well, I went back um for some marijuana the next time. Last year, I kind of like, you know, tried to turn myself around, but the whole time I've been to prison, all the times I've been, I never did that. It was it was a change this time. >> What made you look at it different while you were in there? What made >> you get older? And I got kids now as opposed to when I first went in. Like now I got three little girls and I'm just like I can't I can't keep doing this. You know, it's monotonous. >> As far as your drug cases, you yourself do are you a drug user? >> I smoke a lot of weed. You know, drink a lot of liquor. >> But uh you just sell the hardcore stuff. >> Yeah, cuz you get your whole profit back. >> But u I got kids now. So I'm hoping like I'm thinking about changing my location. That's what I'm thinking about because I know too many people here. I can't go to the corner store without them be like, "Hey, you got some money?" I'm like, "Damn, man. Look, I'm missing money already." So, >> well, the next step is um they're going to fingerprint you and you go to the other side. You'll get classed and from there you go upstairs and relax till you go to court. >> Yeah. You hibernate. All right. Appreciate it. >> I wish her the best of luck. Hopefully, she can relocate like she said. Just go and start a new life somewhere where they don't know her. You've already been locked up for a while. >> Two years. >> Is that enough time or ready to be out on the streets? >> Two days is enough time. >> Just passing drugs, dealing them. >> Dealing them >> for somebody else or for you? >> A for me. I ain't coming to jail for nobody else. >> Eventually that hustle catches up though. >> Yeah, it do. >> Especially if you've already done two years. Was that a drug charge too? >> When uh this last year? No, that was an aggravated assault case. When I got arrested for the fight, I was already walking with my shoes in my hand and I seen, you know, some people I knew that was getting jumped on. So, I decided to jump in. I'm the only girl that's all dudes. But when I hit the dude, I knocked him out in the middle of the street, but I forgot I was so drunk there was sheriffs lined up all on the strip where the where the club's at. So, immediately they arrested me. >> You have any kids? >> Yeah, I got three. >> So, it's the ones you have to worry about now. >> Yeah. And I have the perfect role model. My mama, you know, she's the epitome of a hard worker. For some reason, it didn't rub off on me. You know, my daddy rubbed off on >> Well, no. Look, now you have a chance. >> You can do anything. You can come out there. You can go get a job. Yeah. You have to tell them what happened, tell you where you went, but at least you can make an honest living. You're not out there in the streets hustling. >> Yeah. >> You got to be out there with your kids. >> It's probably the most important thing, right? >> Yeah. >> It's worth it to stay out there, right? >> Yeah. >> It's better to stay out there. >> It's better just to stay clean. >> Yeah. >> There you go. Go ahead, man. >> Hopefully. Now, I guess she has her stuff squared away. She's got her mind made up and when she gets out, she does better for her kids and and better for herself. >> And the doors open up and they leave me outside. I'm going to go home to my family tonight. I've been thinking about my home. I've been thinking about my kids. I don't want to be alone. I got to get out of Just give me Just give me
