Ma'am, stop. Stop. Stop. Ma'am, what are YOU DOING? I'VE DONE NOTHING WRONG. [screaming] WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO TRUST ME? I'VE DONE NOTHING. >> In the world of law enforcement, many arrests are just unforgettable. Like a drunk woman who thought slapping a cop was a good idea. >> Get your car in the middle. >> Oh, yeah. No way. Right back. Right back. These are the moments when officers come face to face with the most unhinged Karens. Officers in Lufkin, Texas, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after they had noticed something suspicious about the vehicle. When the police approached the suspect, he appeared to be suspiciously calm. How you doing? >> Good. I'm a hog troll. Reason we stopped you kind of down there looking around. Where you from? >> I'm uh from Alaska. Get you. Can you step out here? >> What you doing down this way? >> Visiting family. Came down for a wedding. Oh yeah. Where you uh where you headed? >> Uh back up to see my family. >> Where's that at? >> Up in low. >> You lay that map right there. >> Oh, sure. >> You got any other weapons on you? >> No. >> Well, actually, I do have a Leatherman in my back car. >> What is that? Like a little tool? >> Yeah. >> Can you light up anything? Sure. >> What are you doing now for the light? >> Uh, like I say, we came down for my sister's wedding. >> Well, yes. Well, yeah. Turn around. Let me check. Okay. >> Okay. >> 2450. 2450 right here. >> Hey. Hey, listen to Hey, let's go. >> What's your location? out here at the uh we're here at the west side right here on 59. How odd is that? That's going to be your boy. >> The police circulated a lookout bulletin for his car. The officer quickly informed backup units and they began to prepare for a massive coordinated search operation. >> Hey, there was >> Well, I was going to tell you that, but uh we're we're investigating a kidnapping. >> Okay. >> Why is that kidnapping where? I don't I don't know where you're from. State of Alaska. >> Okay. >> What else you got on here? >> Well, my wallet over here. >> Uh keys. >> Yeah. Officer's on his way here. Who's your sister? >> Autumn. Uh Autumn Rose Keys. >> Autumn Rose Keys. >> Yes. >> She got married in Wales or she >> uh they got married in Nacadocious. Is this your car or a rental? >> It's a rental. >> You're talking to Do you have any other family down there or stay with you? >> Yeah. Yeah. Well, actually I I was mostly staying up in Wells, but um this last night I stayed there with my brother. He was staying in that hotel for a couple days. So, >> where you from? >> He's from uh Maine. And my other brother from Maine was here, too. He just took off this morning. Yeah. >> She is she from where you are from or she >> your sister how'd she end up down here? >> Oh, that's a whole another story. But >> soon several detectives became involved in the matter and began questioning Israel. But the entire time his demeanor remained calm and completely unbothered. >> Mr. Keys. >> Hi there. >> Steve Raven with the Texas Rangers. Okay. How are you? I'm Stephan with Fion. >> Hi. Can we visit with you for a few minutes? >> Yeah, I like I said, but I mean, if it's going to be a while, my daughter's with my brother. They're heading up north and they're going to be waiting for me. So, if it's going to be a while, I need to call them and let them know what's going I mean, I don't know what's going on. They didn't even tell me why I was pulled over. So, >> well, I don't know if it's going to be a long time or not. It kind of depends on on on our conversation. Uh, where were you at last night? >> I was in with my brother all night. I mean, we I I mean, I was staying up in Wells, but last night I stayed down here just down the road in his hotel room, me and my daughter. And yeah, we were we went up to Wells, talked to my family, um turned [clears throat] right around, came back down here and and drank a couple beer and and uh is this about the cop that came through the parking lot last night? He came, we were out on the balcony and some cop came through and was writing down something. Stopped by our cars and was writing down something and then he's like, "How are you all doing?" And he and then he took off. Is this is that what this is about? >> Yeah. I don't know. I'm not familiar with >> All right. Well, anyway, we Yeah, I stayed in right down the road there with the with my brother last night. >> How long have you been uh in Lufkin in the Lufkin area? Well, I've been in the Wells. I I was up in Wells most of the time. I was staying with my family. But >> did did you check into the motel room? Is the motel room in your name? >> No, it's in his name. And like I say, it wasn't It was like a We the plan was for us to stay in Wells, but there's the whole >> What time did you get to the motel? >> Last night. >> What time? >> Last night. >> Yeah. Well, I don't know. When did you get to the motel? I' I've been in and out of the motel for two days cuz he's been staying there ever since he got here. So, I mean, we're brothers and we've all been hanging out. He my other brother stayed up in Nacadocious, had a hotel there. Um, my uh Elijah, my other younger brother, he stayed here and I was staying in Wells. So, we would all, you know, we'd meet in Wells, we meet in Nacadocious, we meet down here. >> Whose car is this? >> This is a rental car. >> And how long have you had this car? since I flew into Vegas. Uh, the No, I got it the day after. I got it on the seventh. >> So, how long have you had on set? Since the seventh. >> Seven. >> Okay. Do you have a rental contract I can look at? >> Yes. >> Do you have flight information with you, too? Some kind of receipt that you flew into Vegas? >> I I don't think I have my flight. I know I don't have my boarding. I will lift up and look at your >> The officers attempted to search his belongings, but he refused to give them permission. A move that immediately raised their suspicions even further. >> Can I Can I look at your wallet? >> I gave you my ID. You're not searching anything. Look, I I You have not given me any information. I've been very open with you. I've been telling you everything. You're not searching anything of mine until I know what's going on and why I'm still standing here and why I got pulled over for the first place. I haven't had a I haven't had a speeding ticket for 10 years. I don't think. >> Listen, have you ever met a Texas Ranger before? >> I honestly I've never even really been to Texas. I was stationed here. >> Have you ever met an FBI agent before? >> No, I don't think so. >> So, it's pretty unusual you'd have a Texas Ranger and an FBI agent talking to you right now, isn't it? >> I have. You know what? I have no idea. You still haven't even told me why I'm talking to you. >> It's probably something pretty serious, right? >> How would I know? >> Because you got an FBI agent and Texas Ranger standing here talking. People question people all the time, right? >> Okay. >> You said you're looking for a guy in a white car. How many guys in white cars are there? >> Right. >> We're looking for a guy driving a white horse bokeh from Alaska. >> Okay. >> And and so it's kind of a coincidence that your driver's license says you're from Alaska. >> I've told you I was from Alaska. >> Right. I I know. Hey, it appears you've been completely honest with us from this point. We don't know if you're the guy that we're looking for. I don't understand why why you're why >> we're looking for a guy that's committed a pretty serious crime. We don't know if you're the guy or not. We would like for you not to be the guy. So, we'd like your cooperation and there are some things that are going to be in the guy's possession that we're looking for. All right? That you shouldn't have. Okay? So, that's the reason we're asking maybe to look at your wallet to make sure you don't have what we're looking for. We'd like to look in your car to see if you have >> You are not certain. Look, I know how this works. I watch enough TV to know how this works. >> You might want to call your wife. >> Unless you have a search warrant. You do not >> I don't have a search warrant yet. >> Okay. >> I I haven't done anything to warrant you getting a search warrant. >> We found enough to get a search warrant right now. Okay. So, you may want to call your wife. >> I'm telling you to to give me consent, but I'm telling you you need to call your wife and tell her you're going to be a while. >> I don't have a wife. Look, I >> the woman with your kids. >> No, my brother. >> Okay. You may want to call your brother and tell him you're going to be a little while. >> All right. >> I mean, am I under arrest? >> Absolutely not. >> Okay. >> But this is not going anywhere. >> After the ranger asserted that due to probable cause and the vehicle exception rule, they could search the car without Israel's consent. Israel gave the officers permission without hesitation and began the search. >> We got a roll of cash and a yellow rubber band. Several. >> Got several rolls of cash. >> Covered up too, didn't it? >> Yeah. >> It's consistent with >> That's consistent with the rubber bands. Consistent with narcotics. Take a picture. >> These are all ones. >> These are all 10. Got a roll of fives. >> Get out of here. Got swim goggles. I know. I'm out here searching a car right now. You >> want a picture of those? All right. I've got looks like a kids an iPod inside of a black bag. Where are the keys? Do we know? >> As the officers continued their search of the vehicle, they came across several suspicious items scattered inside. But the real shock came when they opened the trunk and discovered something that changed the entire course of the investigation. >> What's the store in those rows of money? >> I'm not going to say anything about that. >> Okay, I can respect that. Stand over there for me. You got binoculars, personal items, toiletry items. We ought to get them. >> Well, just we can Yeah, we'll get a picture and we'll just start setting this stuff out. He's not offering explanation for that money. I don't know how much there is. A big roll of ones. There's a roll of fives with rubber bands consistent with narcotics curring >> dude. >> And then a roll of tens. He said he's not going to say anything about that when I asked him what what's up with that. That's change. got >> all these DVDs with Israel keys. Got a photograph. Looks like it's been printed off a computer. It's got numbers on the back of it. Picture those numbers. What are the numbers look like? >> I don't know if they're credit card numbers or or what. >> They're too big to be phone numbers. >> Too big to be phone numbers. >> Yeah. Too big phone. >> But now Israel Keys is who's written on all these. And that's supposed to be his brother. Oh, that is his team. Okay. Got a headlight. Got binoculars. Got ready white disinfectant towels. It's got a computer uh cable in here. Got a passport. Two passports. There's one passport for Israel Keys. >> As the officers sifted through the pile of documents, they came across a rental agreement and a flight itinerary, both of which confirmed exactly what they had begun to suspect about him. There's >> a looks like his flight itinerary. Wednesday, March 7th, 9:00 a.m. He picked this car up. He's got it rented until Wednesday, March 21st at 9:00 a.m. Looks like he picked it up in Las Vegas. Reservation number 37286009 Union Sam 5. Trying to see what rental company it is. It's a reservation through Alaska Airlines. Alaska Airlines flight 112 non-stop from Anchorage to Seattle, then Seattle to Las Vegas. So, we got a stop over this flight itinerary. He's got a this for him and his daughter, Laney Keys. It's also got his rental uh itinerary under there >> or it's a it's probably a reservation. >> All right. All right. Y got a lot of alcohol here. It's cold. Got some children's clothing. Yeah, it doesn't it's not doesn't have a hood though. >> Take a picture of it. Yeah. That's fine. uh just tell them that uh we're searching a a car following a as an active investigation by the rangers that uh we're searching a car and uh associated with that investigation and that uh when we get time you can give them my card. >> Well, I'll just get with you. >> I'm just going to put them >> give your contact information. Yeah. >> But then the detectives uncovered a crucial piece of information, something that left no room for doubt and prompted them to take immediate action against Israel. It has to be worn inside out. That would be great. Here you go. Here you go. Hey, gray hoodie with glasses in a pocket >> and gloves. >> And a mask. >> And a mask. We got our guy. >> Get your picture there. >> Yep. >> You want to do it while cut out goes around his face. It's a shirt sleeve. That shirt sleeve. >> Tell me kid. >> Brian, I saw you. >> Yeah. Come here. >> Our young go over here. Make sure he didn't run >> with glasses. He had cut something. Put him across his face. >> The sleeve of a t-shirt. What we got here is a gray hoodie with glasses in a pocket and a cut sleeve. We got white tennis shoes from Alaska. >> We can hook him up against his wall right now. >> I think he's under arrest for kidnapping in Alaska. Hook him up. >> Sir, you're under arrest for kidnapping out of Alaska. Can I get some Israel Keys was then brought in for interrogation for the murder of Samantha Koig, but the police did not expect that he would be so much cooperative. >> Cuz everybody knows what's been discussed in here, but you know, let's assume we get something from your perspective. you're not giving us anything because you think, hey, we already have it. It's a clue and it's just something that gives us credibility that we can report it even though maybe this is just a give us, you know, New York, New Jersey. All right. Well, New Jersey, you know, uh something something other thing that we can kind of report back that, you know, allows us a little bit of credibility with people at the end of the day. Did you find any knives in New York or in the boat? >> I don't know. I think they might have been in the boat. >> Right. >> There's two knives that were not in Kimberly's house. And I don't I don't know where they were. I thought they were in that bucket. I thought that they were I may I may have left one in New York. I thought he might have been on the boat, but I haven't seen a long time, but I haven't seen him in any of the pictures. So, I hope you guys at the end, Israel admitted that he is a serial murderer and he gave all the informations of his murder weapon and how he picked his victims, but he gave only two of his murder victims information. Israel Keys did not have a traditional criminal trial because he took his own life in his jail cell in December 2012 before any trial proceedings could take place. The first case revealed the chilling calm of a calculating serial killer, but the next one couldn't be more different. Instead of a cold and methodical criminal, officers now faced pure chaos. If you enjoyed the video, please give us a thumbs up. >> No, you don't get it. You don't get it. Get in your car and let me >> police from the Broward County Sheriff's Office responded to a bar on East Hillsboro Boulevard in Deerfield Beach after reports of a belligerent woman refusing to leave the property. Take me to the beach. This exact time so much press like tonight. >> As officers tried to reason with Annabella and bring the situation under control, she made a bold and reckless choice that forced them to take immediate action. >> Don't tell. >> Don't tell me where I'm supposed to stay and where I'm not supposed to stay cuz right now I don't have a home. >> Okay, I can appreciate that. >> Exactly. Pull up your passport. >> Target Loss Prevention reports a woman, Annayia, who spent over 7 hours in the store, repeatedly filling bags with merchandise and hovering near the exit before finally being stopped. Upon arrival, the police began their investigation. >> So, she doesn't live here. She's from India. She's with family. They're coming to pick her up still. a few times. Um, so basically she's been in the store. We've been watching for at least four hours. She's taken a ton of merchandise, different kinds. We're getting a total right now for you. It'll be well over 500, I'm sure. >> No, it'll be more. >> You're right. >> Yeah. >> Um, and she put them all into big three reusable bags and then she kept getting really close to the door. She'd stand there. She set her phone about three times she did that and then she came back into the store, kept shopping and then eventually we just stopped her because she passed the first set of doors, went into the vestibule, we stopped her in the vestibule, brought her back here. She's saying that she was still planning to pay for it. Um, >> okay. What do you guys want done? >> We're going to prosecute and trespass. >> Okay. >> But let me just pay for it and not >> That's not happening. Well, there's a lot of people who aren't from this country but still have stuff. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Do you have a middle name? >> No. I can only do is I don't mind paying for it, everything, and then leaving. >> No, that's not happening. >> Can't do that anymore. We lost that opportunity. You committed a felony. >> But if I'm paying for it, what is the harm? >> It would have been fine if you didn't leave, right? You would have had that opportunity to pay. But because you left the store at that point, you chose to not pay for it and we can't go back. That already happened. >> So now, how do you order it or what do you do? >> You can't come back to Target. You can go to Walmart or Meyer or Kohl's or you're going to have to find a different store to shop. >> You don't have to pull this off. >> Okay. >> Well, >> but again, you made that decision. I didn't >> I'm going to try to run this and see if I can get it to come back. I'm going to step out of here because I'm a very nice guy. I promise. But this is my job, so you can't do that. Um, a new leader starting Monday. >> I'm afraid no record for last name. >> I'll check online. You don't have to have like a town or anything, do you? >> Where do you live? >> India. >> Negative. At first, Ana hesitated, then slowly produced a few documents before becoming increasingly agitated and uncooperative. >> You can I can have I don't have my I can show you my license here. >> No license. >> Okay. So, who's what's who's Jamisha? >> Me. And this is my >> So, who's so who's an ayah? >> This is my name also. But this is my Jamisha Aari. didn't see my picture. >> Okay. >> This is B. >> Okay. So, this is So, this is not your first name. >> No. >> Okay, that's nice. >> Okay. Take a seat. >> Listen, please don't please don't embarrass me. Ma'am, >> don't have my meal. >> I think your own choices are going to embarrass you. It has nothing to do with me. >> So, what do I have to do if I have to What do you want me to do? [clears throat] You are >> this if you're good. >> I'm not taking anything. >> Okay, >> I'm ready to even pay for it. >> It's not does not work like that. I don't know why you keep saying the same thing over and over again. >> So, what do you want me to do? >> I just want you to be quiet for right now. >> I'm really sorry to bother you if it is I'm really sorry. >> I understand that you're sorry. >> I'm not from this country. I'm not going to be staying here. >> Okay. How far? Okay. >> What did you say? >> And >> are you allowed to steal things in India? >> No. I didn't think so. >> Okay. The minute he came, the minute the door opened, he came, I returned back. I said, I was just waiting. I've not gone away. How would I even run with these bags? It's m humanly impossible. >> Okay, >> they're almost done. They're at about 767. She ripped a bunch of tags off, so they're trying to find them. >> 767? If it is that much, I don't mind paying you. No. We're past that. I don't know which I don't know why you keep saying that over and over again. I told you many times we are past that. >> What do you want me to do? >> I I told you what I would like you to do. >> Do you guys need video tonight? I would love to have it. >> I'll start. >> Oh my god, Anna, it's the first time I've sat down in 4 hours. >> Yeah. >> How are you not tired? >> No. >> You've been walking around for 7 hours. >> I'm not even >> Oh my gosh. I'm ready for a nap. >> I'm ready to pay for the merchandise and leave the store. No. I don't know why you keep repeating that. Turn off children, please. I have children. I promise. Please, I have children. They don't have any of them deployed. My other family's deployed. I'm from a different state. Please, I promise. I'm from a different state. Please don't do this to me. I'm from a different state. Please don't do that. They don't have nobody else. Please don't let me. I have nobody else. >> Do you understand your charges? >> No, I don't understand. >> Suspicion DUI. Okay. Please, I'm begging you. I'm begging you. I'm a corrections officer. Do not do this. I'm begging you. I've been good all my life. >> Relax. >> I came from this literally I came from the system. Please don't do this to me. I had one night where I was upset. I promise. I came from one of one night where I was upset. This guy did me wrong one time. I'm so sorry. Please don't do this. I'm begging you. Please. I'm begging. No. No. No. I had one night. Ros. >> I had one night. >> You made bad decisions. >> Please don't do this. I All my life though, I've been so good. I've been a crack officer. I've been so good. I came from literally nothing. I came from nothing. My parents are crackheads. Please. I've been so good all my life. Don't put me. This is all my record. >> Please. I've been so good. I promise. I've been so good all my life. Please don't make me do this. It's on my record. My kids will see this. Please, I'm begging you. >> You have anybody that can pick UP A >> NO, I I'm from a different state. Please, I'm begging you. I will never make it. Please listen. I'm from different state. I'm from the system. I've never done anything bad in my life. I'm begging you. Please, my kids will see this. I've never >> You said no. You don't have anyone to pick up. >> I have nobody. I'm literally >> that showed up. >> No. And that was my friend's boy. Listen, I'm begging you. I've never done anything bad in my life. I'm begging you. I literally turned my life around and became a correction officer. >> I became Listen, >> tell people listen. I became a correction officer because I had nobody. Please, I'm begging you. I will escape from nothing. >> Watch your legs. >> I gave >> The woman was charged with driving under the influence, DUI, and refusal to submit to breath test. Sometimes people have a hard time controlling their temper, and it can quickly become a serious issue. Just like this woman who caused chaos over a burger. >> So, he called the cops on me because he asked me to come behind the counter on Eastern Avenue. >> You can't. I mean, you can call an Uber or you can >> unfortunately there's only three of us. >> In New Jersey at a restaurant, a female customer caused a disturbance because her burger was not cooked properly. The restaurant staff called the police and although she had already left, Karma caught up with her when an officer found her nearby. >> Why are they calling for you? >> They're calling for me? >> Yes, they pointed you out saying you're destroying the restaurant. >> Um, well, the man asked me to come behind the register. He asked me to. And you can watch the cameras. >> Sure. >> He asked me to come behind the registers. >> Okay. >> And all I wanted was a fresh cheeseburger. That's literally all I wanted. >> Okay. Well, are they saying or is it >> all I wanted. He touched me. He me I don't know if that's assault or battery. I don't know the difference. >> All right. Now, I'm going to have to get your information. Okay. >> He assaulted me. >> Do you have your identification? >> Yeah, I do. He me and again all I wanted was a fresh burger. Okay. Do you have your idea? >> He stole my money. He threw He took my burger out of my hand and threw it in the garbage. He stole my money. >> He stole my money and on top of that touched me. He me. He touched me here. >> Do you have your identity? >> He sexually harassed me. >> We'll get to that. Do you have your >> me? So he called the cops on me because he asked me to come behind the counter and then on top of that, he took my burger out of my hand and threw in the garbage. I understand that this is Holland Park and I'm a black woman. I understand that this is Holland Park and I am a black woman, but I did absolutely nothing wrong until he >> me. >> Despite the woman blaming the restaurant worker, the officer continued with their own investigation. Another officer spoke with the staff at the restaurant to gather and record any evidence. >> So, I don't know. He said, "Can you make for my burger?" I said, "Okay, can you stay over there? You can check the burgers how we are cooking." Hence she she g over here and she she messed up all burgers and they came over here say she went behind the counter actually. >> Yeah. >> I don't I don't touch anything. >> She grabbed the bacon from the burger and she threw it against the show over here sir. >> And she left came back to the old [music] >> I don't know. And her only comment was >> she she can she said my burger is not real burgers. That's because I can't touch anything. >> I say we got the burger. She's like >> Yes, sir. That's Did you find her? >> Yeah. No, he's got her down the two box over. >> After identifying the woman as the troublemaker, the officer approached her to hear her side of the story. >> But judging by her behavior, it was clear it wasn't going to be easy. >> What happened? I just wanted a new burger. Like I literally I'm going to tell you the same thing that I told him. He gave me the burger. I've been going here for a couple weeks now. He gave me the burger and I told him I was like, "This is not a proper quality burger." And he was like, "Oh, that's the burger that we always give you." And I was like, "No, like you know, like I want to can you please make me a new burger? Like I want a new burger." And then he was like, "Come, come behind the counter. Come, let me show you how we make the burger." So I was standing behind the burger, behind the counter. And he was just like the cook, he of course he's waiting for orders or whatever. And um he was just like, "This is the same quality burger." He took my burger from my hands, threw it in the garbage. He basically was saying he was going to make me a new one. And he took my burger from my hands and threw it in the garbage. He's like, "Oh, like I'm like, "Okay, so like I'm going to stand here and watch you guys make my burger because I don't want you guys to do anything wrong to it." And he's like, "Oh, no. Go or I'm going to call the cops." I'm like, "You're going to call the cops on me because you just threw my burger in the garbage. You took my money and I want a new burger. Like it's I just want a fresh burger." And he's like, "Oh, you didn't say you wanted a fresh burger when you ordered." I'm like, "This burger is not the proper quality that you give the rest of your customers. I come I've come here several times and this just is not the proper quality. I just want the burger that I paid for." >> That's literally all I was saying. There was two customers in the restaurant at the time. So, he's like, "I'm not giving you a burger. I'm not giving you a burger." And he's calling the cops on me. What are you calling the cops on me for if I just want a fresh burger that I get every other night? I just I'm just going home. Like I just wanted a burger. >> So you then because he didn't give me a burger. I did and that's it. Like he I wanted my burger and I spent money on stuff and if you don't want to give me a burger then I'm going to spill your salt and pepper. >> The woman tried to defend herself unaware that the officer already knew the full story. Before she realized it, she was caught in a tricky confrontation and the drama unfolded. >> Well, you broke things. He broke things. >> Salt and pepper gas. No, he asked me to come behind He asked me to come behind He asked me to come behind. I would have never come behind the counter if he did not ask me. He told me to come behind the counter because he was like, "Oh, come behind the counter. I'll show you how we make the burgers." That's what he said to me. That's literally what he said to me. I would never have went behind that counter if he not asked me to. I worked in customer service. First of all, if you First of all, he could feel as though he was in danger if I if I went behind that counter. He asked me to come behind that counter. And I said to him, I said, "You're going to call the cops on me because you asked me to come behind the counter. I did not go on behind the counter on my own at all." >> I thought that was Yeah, but then it looks like you went and you took all the food and you just >> No, I it didn't because he took my burger. I spent $12 on that burger. Okay, >> I got a burger. I got a cheeseburger with extra pickles and extra ketchup and mayonnaise. That's all I wanted. I just wanted the proper burger. It wasn't even about like it was just about the burger. And the fact that you're telling me you're going to call the cops on me now and I've been coming here every week. >> Mhm. >> Every week to get a the same burger. I just wanted the same burger. That's all I wanted. And you're calling the police on me. >> All right, hold on one second. And I told you I was stay here. I think I don't know if you guys were on the phone. You It's a voice whatever. Everything's recorded. I'm like, "You want to call the cops on me because I want the proper burger?" That's all on your computer, all in your system, everything. I just wanted a the proper burger. And I wasn't disrespectful on the audio or anything. I wasn't disrespectful until he told me he wasn't going to give me a burger. >> Okay. >> I spent my And I also said to him, I also said to him, "Give me a refund if you're not going to give me my burger." And he told me no. He told me no. Okay. >> It's wild that so much happened over a burger and the police had to get involved. The officers were trying to figure out who the aggressor was. >> That's it. Like, what are you calling the cops on me for? You called the cops before there was even a situation to call the cops for. You antagonized me. You gaslit me. You pushed me to this point. And I'm not even trying to like, oh, create this conspiracy. No, this is what actually happened to me tonight. I just left the the club with my friend. I had a great night. I had a wonderful night. I'm like, "Yeah, let's go to White Rose so we can get burgers. They're open." Like, I like coming to this place. I don't I I don't understand. And this is why I said to you, you know, I'm in Park. I know understand that I'm brown because I've been getting I I'm from here. I've been getting that vibe since I've been getting coming here. But I don't care. I'm like I just want a burger. >> I'm just hungry. It's the middle of the night. >> Sure. You know, so it's just like what? Like you calling the cops on me because I just want a refund? Because I want a burger. I just want the proper burger. Like everything happened after that. Cool. I understand. But before that, no. I just wanted my refund or a proper burger. And I didn't even say that I wanted a refund until like he threw my burger in the garbage. Like you can go in there and see either one of you if you want to. My burger's in the garbage. The counter, not in the front of the counter. Behind the counter. It's in the garbage. Why? Because he asked me to come behind the counter. And I was standing behind the counter. And I told him like I'm like, "No, like look at this burger. I don't want this. Like I want a new burger." And I was being just like this. And he touched my burger. I said, "Okay, so now you're touching my burger. So you're going to go you're going to throw it out." And he's like, "Yeah, I'm throwing in the garbage. You can get a new burger." I'm okay. I'm going to watch you guys while you make my burger because I don't want you guys to do anything wrong to my burger because I understand that you're upset with me right now. And then he's like, "Oh, just go. Just go." What do you mean just go? Okay. If you're telling me to go, can I get my refund? He's like, "Oh, no. I'm not giving you a refund. I'm calling the police on you." What are you calling the police on me for? I just want a refund. And like I said, that's on your computer audio when he called you. More than likely, you can hear my voice in the background. Like, I'm not screaming. I'm not yelling. I'm not crying. I'm not being malicious. I'm just like, are you serious? >> No matter how the woman tried to tell her story, she wasn't hiding the truth. Little did she know, she was already in hot water. >> You stole my money at that point. You took you took my burger from my hands that you gave me that I already explained to you was, you know, not good quality. >> No, I I agree on your argument on that aspect. >> And like then you harassed another brown lady outside of your store. It's not it's just it becomes bigger than me. And then it's just like what are you doing? And then it's like, oh no, I'm going to follow you down the street. And it's like what are you leave me alone? But you understand? >> No, no, no, no. But you understand whatever beforehand, >> but the more or more severe or the more issue we're having right now is the damage and all the the the property loss. Okay, that's what we're dealing with. >> Salt and pepper and glass. >> Correct. So, you want the money for this two counts mischief and disorderly conduct. Okay. So, we're right now we're on trying to get on the phone with the owner of the business. How do you want to perceive right now? >> He just took my burger. That's your point on that aspect. >> Like $12. It's the same amount as my burger. >> I keep that. >> Literally. >> Okay. But that doesn't make it right. >> Seeing how dramatic the woman was, the officers didn't want the situation to escalate since it was a simple matter. What they wanted was her cooperation, hoping everything would end smoothly. Uh, you're going to be placed under arrest, okay? And you're going to be brought back into police headquarters, be charged with release criminal mischief, and then we're going to bring you. It's going to be on a uh on a summon. You're going to have a court date. You're going to have to go and explain it to a judge. >> He'll also go there. >> Going to jail right now. >> Not going to jail. You're not going to jail. I just said that. You're not going to jail. This is the order to the person's offense. You're not going to jail. You are going to come with us, do the paperwork real quick, and then you'll be released. That's just how it works. >> How long is that going to take? >> Can you cooperate? An hour tops. >> An hour. Am I going to have to sit in like a cell? >> No, I won't put you on a cell. Put you on a bench. >> Okay. And that's what's going to happen after that. >> We're going You're going to be receive the paperwork and then you're going to get to go home. >> Okay. And then when I go home, what's going to happen next? >> You're going to have a court date. >> Yes. >> And then you're going to go to court. >> And then what's possibility? >> Uh you might have to pay restitution. Pay restitution. So the damage that was done >> and then they might say, you know, you're no longer allowed to come back to White Rose. I don't know. That's a judge. That's a judge's decision. I'm sorry. I I can't answer for the judge. >> No, no answer for the judge, but possibilities. Just >> those are possibilities. >> Okay. So, um can I just move to the I'm going to move to the left real quick? >> Just like what's going on and >> what's going on where >> Hello. Are you Where are you? >> Okay. Um I don't see you. Okay. I just want to give you my purse. >> Is that okay? >> It's fine. >> Okay. >> Who is it? >> I just want to This is um someone that I know that's close by. >> Tell them to come. Tell them to come over to the Fresh Mart. We'll meet you in We'll meet him in the parking lot. >> Okay. I just want to drop off my purse to her. >> Yeah. Tell them to come here though. >> I can keep my phone though, right? That's smart. >> Whatever. Okay. >> This is going to be rather rather quick. We have to have a female come over just to check you >> from like that. That's you're a female. It's out of respect for you. >> Um and then we'll get the like it'll be >> wherever the three police officers are. >> Um by White Rose. >> Say tell her to come by Fresh Mart. She can't miss the police. >> Fresh mart. I think that's really funny how things work, but it's also very okay. >> After speaking with the restaurant staff and her family, the officer went to detain her. her reckless actions finally caught up with her and maybe it would be a learning lesson for her. >> Thank you. >> I'm just going to touch you here. >> I'm just pull the sleeve up so it's not caught in there for you. >> Yeah, that's fine. >> I'm going to lock those so they don't tighten up on you or anything. Uh yeah, when I went over there, you can angle these up for me a little bit. Thank you. >> Thank you for being cooperative. The more cooperative you are with us, >> we'll just get out you down quicker. >> You know, reactions, actions have reactions, and that's just a thing. regardless of him on Disney or just you guys. >> All right, let's go. Let's go. >> Okay, life happens. >> Well, I appreciate it. >> All right, I'm just going to go right on the side here. >> Let me just go again. I told him >> over here, dollar amount, and all >> got it. Thank you very much. seat on. >> Okay. >> Thank you. >> You're welcome. >> The woman was charged with criminal mischief with damage and was released pending a court appearance. It's shocking how casually some people treat driving after drinking. They often believe they're sober enough, but in this woman's case, she was far from it. On a rainy night in Milton, Florida, a woman was driving recklessly. Police received a call about her swerving and eventually conducted a traffic stop to investigate >> in the grass when I got behind you and you about almost went fully in the ditch. >> I apologize. >> I need the registration and insurance as well, please. >> So, I just got this car so I don't have the registration fully, but I have my name. Is that okay? >> Um, on the car. >> Do you have any sort of insurance documentation or anything? >> Yes. >> Um, let me get my phone so I can see for you. So, when I was walking up here, I noticed you threw two bottles in the back seat. >> I didn't. >> Yes, ma'am. You did. This is the time to be honest with me. Okay. Did you have anything to drink today? >> I mean, I just came from the beach and I drank a little bit, but I haven't been drinking while I'm driving. >> Okay. Well, I can smell it coming from inside this vehicle. And you're Yeah, you're slurring your words pretty bad, too. >> So, um, try to find this insurance for me really quick. >> Yeah, of course. >> That has my name on it. >> I have it. >> I don't need that. >> Okay. What do you need? >> Copy. Floor deal. Your insurance for the vehicle. >> So, I just bought this I just have um copy of what I paid for the vehicle. I don't have the information >> because I just I just bought it. I purchased it. >> So, you don't have any insurance on this vehicle? >> I do have insurance, but I don't >> Is it on your phone? >> It is. >> Okay. >> Can I show you that? >> Yeah. Go and do me a favor and step out for me. The woman was identified as Sarah, and the officer noticed multiple red flags, wanting to check whether she was fit to drive. It would be difficult, but letting her continue driving if she had been drinking would be even more dangerous. >> Based on everything I saw on the road and your slurring of your words and then you telling me you had drinks at the thing, I'm going to be requesting you do some standardized sobriety test. >> Of course, I >> You willing to do those for me? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I came from the beach. I had a few drinks. >> Okay. But I'm sober enough to drive. >> Okay. >> Do I need to put anything on? I'm on my vacation. >> Do Do you have a shirt you can throw on? >> I do. >> Okay. Where is that at? Let me grab that for you. Where at in your car? >> It's in the back seat. >> What color is it? >> It's white. >> You have anything? >> I don't. It might be in the in the trunk. I might have something in the trunk. >> Okay. Once he gives you uh this shirt, uh we're going to do these standardized skill soiety task. Okay. So, there's going to be three there's going to be three tasks. One's going to be the horizontal maze. Give the gas. It's going to be eye test pretty much. Okay. >> That's fine. >> Or is it too hot? >> That's fine. Yes. 30. >> Let me just check. Make sure there's nothing in the pockets. >> We've got it for now. We're trying to see if one of us. Just trying to be polite. >> You're sweet. Thank you. >> It's got a zip. Okay. All right. >> So, I'm going to check your eyes. You want to go and remove those? Are those glasses or just sunglasses? >> Just sunglasses. >> You want to set those on the head? >> My head. >> What's up? >> Set them down. >> I do too. >> That's fine. Okay. I'm going to have you face this way. So those light are those lights bothering your eyes at all? >> It's fine. >> I'm good to drive. >> Okay. Well, like I said, are those are those lights bothering your eyes at all? >> No, sir. >> Okay. So, what I'm going to do is you >> do I have to do the braggy test? I heard that this is optional. >> Well, it's up to you. Like I said, um it's just >> cuz I thought I was good to drive. It was just the person in front of me was >> Yeah, like like I was saying, when I got behind you, you went off the road pretty severely and then got back up and you almost jumped the car into the ditch. And when I got up to the window, you were sluring your words and I actually noticed you sticking two bottles in the back seat. Okay. Um, >> so is this optional or do I have to do this? >> So, like I said, it's totally up to you. Okay. These tests, they just um >> So, if I ace this all good to go. >> Well, there it's not pass or fail. Okay. >> So, what is this test doing? >> So, it just pretty much determines to see if you are over the legal limit or if I believe that you over the legal limit. Well, if I pass this, you'll let me go. >> It depends. >> The woman's house was just 3 minutes away, but Sarah could not avoid the sobriety test the officer intended her to take. Judging by her responses, it didn't look good. >> The tip of this pen. Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> You're going to follow the tip of this pen with your eyes and eyes only. >> Yes, sir. >> Do not move your head. You understand? >> Don't move your head for me. Okay. Just your eyes. Okay. Try to keep your head still. Oh, >> you're good. Step back up. Falling over. All right. Mhm. >> Okay. >> All right. Stand back with your feet together. Arms down by your side again. >> Okay. Remember your eyes and eyes only. All right. Go ahead. There are witnesses still out within at the E3 office at 12 712 earlier 155 and D24. Um you still need to have somebody >> follow the stimulus. Okay. Follow the end of the ST13. 107 107. Seven count three. >> 155 130. >> Follow the pin. Tip of the pin. Okay. >> Okay. >> I don't have a card for that. If you want to open up >> this one's going to go up. Okay. Just follow the tip of the pin. My finger. a pin where my finger is clear. >> Try not to move your head. Okay. Keep your head straight. >> Yes, sir. >> Are you leaving? >> For the next test, the officer even demonstrated and explained it to her. It was simple in theory, but for her, it proved quite difficult. So, what I'm going to get you to do is I'm going to put get you to put your left foot on the line >> and place your right foot in front of it with your right heel touching your left toe. Okay? Keep your hands down by your side like the first task. Okay? Do not start until I tell you to. Do you understand these instructions? >> I'll explain that. Do you understand the instructions so far? >> I need you to put your left foot on line, right foot in front of it with the hill touching. There you go. >> All right. >> Do not start until I till I tell you to begin. Okay. When I tell you to begin, you're going to take nine heel to toe steps down the line, >> keeping one foot on the line, and returning. H When I tell you to begin, you're going to take nine heel totoe steps down the line, turn around, keeping one foot on line, and return nine heel to steps back down. Okay? So, I'm going to demonstrate that to you. So, it's going to be one, >> two, three, and on your ninth step, you're going to take a series of small steps with your right foot, keeping your left foot on the ground like this. And you're going to take nine heel to toe steps back down the line. One, two, three, all the way to nine. Okay. >> Yes, sir. Uh, like I said again on the nice step, keeping the front foot in line, taking uh taking the turn by taking small several steps with the other foot. While walking, watch your feet at all times. Keep your arms down by your side. Count out loud. Once you begin, do not stop until the pass is complete. Do you understand these instructions? >> Okay. >> Can I begin? >> You may begin. How many was it? I explained it to you at the beginning. >> So far, Sarah's performance was not going well. The officer then demonstrated the final test, and she performed so poorly that it ultimately landed her in legal trouble. >> I suck at balance. 182 >> 182. >> You may stop. >> Okay. >> Do me a favor. Place your other hand by your hand back. >> Charles, I'm sorry. >> DUI. You have somebody that can get your car. >> No. >> Okay. >> I'll get it when I get >> So, look, understand these cuffs are pretty loose on you, okay? Do not pull your hands out of them. If you do, we'll go from there. Okay. Do me a favor. Let's come step back over here. So, you have nobody that can come pick your car up. >> No. >> Can I take somebody? Can I call somebody >> or >> with my phone? >> For what? >> To come get my car. Is that okay? >> Is there somebody able to come get your car within 30 minutes? Yes, sir. If I call him. >> Okay. Have a seat. >> 223. I'm 10:15. >> At the station, her breath test was taken and it showed more than double the legal limit. >> Oh, no. I got poem on my back. >> Oh, what? >> All right. One more time. P >> ready. >> Yep. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. Keep going. All right. Pull. Perfect. a pole like a strip of pole. >> Oh, well, like words. >> What's it say? >> Uh, be not like those who hearts are filled with the fear of death. So that way when their time comes to die, [music] that we've been prayed for a little more time. >> Sarah was charged with DUI and failure to obey a traffic control device. Thanks for watching.
