Despite countless commands from the officers, Mahamoudi refused to cooperate, and the officers deployed their firearms as Mahamoudi got closer, fatally wounding him. Efforts from the mobile crisis response unit, who are designed to handle mental health crises, failed earlier that day. AT AROUND 1:30 A.M., Mahamoudi was carrying a meat cleaver and a large kitchen knife, and was declining help from the officers, saying the police needed to shoot him. The officers repeatedly told him to drop the weapon, saying they did not want to hurt him, but unfortunately, the officers opened fire. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is now reviewing the incident. Burlington, Vermont. On June 5th, 2024 at approximately 2:44 p.m., the Burlington Police Department's dispatch center received a third-party call regarding an active domestic assault in progress. He was then taken into custody without further incident. The Burlington Fire Department transported him to the University of Vermont Medical Center's emergency department for a medical evaluation. It was later discovered that Burke had been involved in multiple vehicle pursuits with neighboring law enforcement agencies. I GOT 245. I GOT 241. SUDDENLY, BLUEFORD raised his left hand flipping off the officers, and within seconds, he drew a gun from his pocket with his right hand aiming it at them. In response, both officers fired their weapons exactly 1 minute and 4 seconds after arriving on the scene. Multiple shots were heard, and Blueford collapsed to the ground. There was no evidence from the video footage or the town hall meeting that Blueford fired his gun. After the shooting, the officers approached Blueford and began administering CPR as bystanders gathered, ignoring repeated instructions to stay back. Medics were quickly called, and Blueford was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts of first responders and hospital staff, Blueford was pronounced dead. He was known to have a history of violent behavior. Los Angeles, California on August 3rd, 2024 at 9:46 a.m., Lakewood Station deputies responded to the intersection of South Street and Woodruff Avenue, Lakewood. And Elsie, Fairfax, I was walking on the side with this gentleman that has a knife. And he rushed me, and uh I got I was able to get in my car. Did he ever swing it at you, or he just chased you? Castaneda was struck by the gunfire and fell to the ground. Even after being shot, deputies instructed him to release the knives, which he eventually did. Deputies then approached and provided first aid until Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel arrived. Castaneda had sustained several gunshot wounds to his upper torso, but was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. No deputies or bystanders were harmed during the incident. Authorities recovered a large kitchen knife with a 10-in blade and a switchblade with a 4-in blade, both at the scene.
