[Music] what you just saw in this video is an off-duty bluefield west virginia police officer physically assaulting several individuals outside greg's sports bar located in bluefield west virginia one of the individuals attacked by the officer was his girlfriend and mother of his child he attacked her on video this led to a misdemeanor criminal charge of domestic battery that in turn led to a local media report noting that an off-duty bluefield police officer had been charged with domestic battery this alone isn't all that surprising police officers seem to be involved in domestic violence incidents fairly frequently in fact i've often referred to domestic violence allegations as kryptonite for police officers who are seemingly immune to almost all other types of allegations but there's more to the story involving what appears to be a huge cover-up and deep corruption and tons of some of the most disturbing body cam footage i've ever seen in which i possess and i will share if you keep watching [Music] what the criminal charge and media report didn't disclose is that the off-duty officer caught on video here outside greg's sports bar on october 24 2021 had already been involved in a shooting with two other men at the same location just minutes earlier yes there was a shootout outside this bar involving an off-duty police officer and not only was it apparently hidden from the public but unbelievably nobody was charged the officer who pulled a gun and fired at two other men was not charged with any crime related to that shooting neither were the other two men charged with any crime so let's just stop for a second and let that soak in before we proceed with the facts because i want you to keep this in mind as you watch the rest of the footage of this incident a shooting has happened that's undisputed a police officer was involved 9-1-1 was called can you imagine any scenario where there's a gunfight outside a bar involving a police officer and nobody is charged with a crime or even the same scenario without a police officer participant even if one side used self-defense that would require that the other side had committed a crime both sides in a shootout cannot both be innocent under the law can they moreover i would argue that the presence of a police officer exponentially increases the likelihood of severe criminal charges would we ever expect law enforcement to decline to charge any individual who took a shot at a police officer well maybe if the civilian shooter was the one engaging in self-defense and the police officer was the aggressor in which case maybe nobody gets charged in that scenario why not because that's justice or the correct result under the law but because that's how the thin blue line operates as we all know maybe i'm wrong and i truly hope that i am but let me explain why i don't think that i'm wrong there's a whole lot more to this story greg saunders the owner of this bar came to me for help he showed me the first vertical cell phone video footage that you saw at the beginning of this video that footage alone isn't all that shocking but when he told me that the angry man in the video was an off-duty police officer and the other police officers basically are allowing him to go on this rampage as you can see in the video i was interested in seeing more so i issued several freedom of information act requests and i was really shocked at what i saw when i received several hours worth of body cam footage and related documentation shortly afterwards part of the reason the bar owner came to me was that he had nothing to do with the shooting that night in fact he had no prior history or beef with this man and had no idea why this man was attacking him but shockingly the only person subsequently punished for the off-duty police officer's shootout outside greg's bar was greg the bar owner just days after this incident greg's bar was shut down by the west virginia abc the state alcohol licensing authority as it turns out the bluefield police department of which this rampaging criminal was an employee reported mr saunders to the west virginia abc reporting that there was a shooting at his bar that night they didn't say anything about the fact that it was their own police officer employee who was the one apparently doing the shooting and that he wasn't even a patron of the bar that night nor did they report to the abc that the bar owner was actually the innocent victim of this rampaging bluefield police officer they didn't receive that information from the bluefield police why would they do this apparently the bluefield police department had already been trying to get greg's bar shut down so to be clear there was a shooting outside greg's bar on october 24 2021 involving this off-duty police officer did you read about it in the news no did you read about it in the criminal complaint slash police report from law enforcement no did you hear about it anywhere no did it happen absolutely yes but first go ahead and watch the full vertical video that was provided that showed the off-duty police officer physically attacking not only his girlfriend but actually physically attacking greg who is wearing the red shirt this shows that greg was the victim of a crime here [Music] i am [Music] oh [Music] oh [ __ ] [Music] [Music] that's what blue police officers [Music] oh [Music] long time ago that's what y'all officers do to me down here it's all my fault it's not your fault it's not my fault no it's not it's like it wasn't my his fault he met cause his baby [Music] your gun at the guy he's mad cause his baby mama down here that ain't got nothing to [ __ ] do with us they don't i didn't do nothing his baby mom down here he mad but you literally closed it up and he told me he's pulling up on his baby don't stop recording don't stop recording [Applause] police officers did this tonight we was in the bar meet her bj all of us what happened mama was in here she started keep recording all right everybody don't have to yell at me we're going to get to the bottom of this [ __ ] yes his baby mama [Music] let's take a look at the body cams which show much more three bluefield police department officers arrived just minutes after the shootout and the 9-1-1 call as one approaches the front door of greg's bar you see the off-duty officer james mullins pull up in his car then enter greg's establishment along with the other officer then suddenly the off-duty officer who had just been involved in a shootout outside physically attacks greg inside his bar that's the off-duty officer right there pulling up in his okay you [ __ ] hear me [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] hey [Applause] so that was the off-duty officer who walked in with the on-duty officers and what did he say to greg when he's inside he apparently blames him for his girlfriend being in there and for the shootout he ended up getting in and he says that i'm going to shut you down meaning he's going to take his license away that is actually the shooter who's saying that off duty let's watch it from a different body cam angle you you thinking you running some [ __ ] [ __ ] down here i'm telling you right [ __ ] down shut your [ __ ] ass down you [ __ ] hear me [Music] [Music] [Applause] okay so at this point the off-duty officer was so violent that he even attacked one of the other police officer co-workers who were there again same department causing his body cam to fall onto the ground and this witness picks up the body cam not only is filming with her own cell phone but also filming with the officer's fallen body cam and he quickly gets it back let's watch some more of it from other angles i've done it for him hey timeout [Music] [Applause] the threat that shut down greg's license for his bar had already been made including by this off-duty officer so you can hear that craig is upset that he knows he's going to get blamed for this even though the cops were the ones doing it [ __ ] that this okay here's another angle from the officer who was actually this guy's supervisor and the audio hasn't turned on yet but you can see the first or actually the second attack there and it's just unbelievable really what the the body game captures afterwards and especially the audio so let's uh let's go ahead and go through it i mean it you just have to watch it get him in a car in one of hers now i told y'all [ __ ] you [ __ ] shoot at me [ __ ] dog i'm not [ __ ] through with this i'm that [ __ ] called that [ __ ] [ __ ] james you better settle down now i should have got shot big dog [ __ ] shut them down what the [ __ ] i and here eyewitnesses are about to tell this police officer what happened they saw the off-duty officer pull his gun out first and start shooting at people out first man [Applause] i told james to get off the property because i guess somebody called because she was in here doing whatever he anybody else see what happened he was out here and wouldn't you know it that is exactly what happened greg literally was shut down because of him due to a report by the bluefield police department which said absolutely nothing about their own police officer roland up there who wasn't a patron because his girlfriend was inside getting into whatever altercation happened with two guys who were with her and he started shooting said nothing about it just pretended like oh there's another shooting at greg's sports bar he needs to be shut down and then you didn't see anything in the news did you about an off-duty police officer being involved in a shootout or an issue doubt completely disappeared something like out of 1984 it you know just completely rewrite uh history to make sure that this didn't happen and greg sees it coming from a mile away doesn't he he sees it coming he says that it's going to be a cover-up and he's going to get blamed and that is exactly apparently what happened but they still haven't done their job to get mullins at in under control and he's still on his rampage take a look that's enough this is not you bro con battle calm down breathe bro breathe bro [ __ ] you're this location hey we got problems uh that is shooting our drag sports bar yet get down here it's i don't know what the hell's going on yet but obviously james mullins is involved no it was a shooting by your own officer okay he's acting a [ __ ] idiot down here i can't get him to cruise i'm trying to get him in the cruiser right now i got outside agency responding nothing happened they said mercer county sheriff's office no no because he's supposedly i don't know he i shut him up i'm not talking calm down uh supposedly he just wants that gun i don't know i got to the bottom of it because he won't quit acting like a [ __ ] idiot out here for me to get at the bottom of it there's bullet holes in the car here and obviously he was driving they said they shot at him i don't know what the deal is but brown is trying to get him in the cruise right now he's gonna push this girl down in the [ __ ] parking lot out here and i don't know if that's his girlfriend whatever who that is i ain't got the bomb batting don't know nothing because he's acting like a [ __ ] idiot can't get him in the car chris is everybody well i'm telling you that cheese people don't talk to you he's telling me take his job [ __ ] shove it he's done threatened us he's done my my camera off three [ __ ] times now brian's up here trying to get him calm down right now up on the up the road a little bit [Applause] i holes everybody down here he's telling me he had the gun i don't know what's going on and i got a car out here halfway in the road almost it's got bullet holes in there you said your police officers act on my property but it's my fault we're not eating i guess i'll try my lambs giants giants i don't give a [ __ ] giants i don't give a in a minute because he's done please we're trying multiple times the content calls the officers sit here and threaten my business and me multiple times but y'all put him in the back of the car doesn't say walking around let him walk around let him walk around you're making things worse right now you're making more [ __ ] threaten me my life and everything you gotta get to the bottom of it behind you when i'm a to me problem he lay him multiple times and it's not a problem yeah they're going to get to the bottom of it greg is not going to get blamed at all he's not going to get his license taken don't worry trust them they're going to get to the bottom of it meanwhile what happens nothing in the criminal charges about the physical assault that took place several times against greg nothing about the physical assaults that took place i don't know how many times against the police officers involved i don't know how many times the body cam cameras were knocked down this went on for what 15 plus minutes this guy went on a rampage could you imagine and you don't have to imagine what would have happened if that man was not a police officer if these were not his co-workers what would have happened would he be dead how badly would he have been beaten we all know how this would go what would he be charged with he'd be looking at the rest of his life in prison possibly i would bet and fast forward after this officer does get to the bottom of it who do they come after greg they come after his license and get it as was threatened did they go after the officer no all he's charged with is what he was captured on video doing to his girlfriend that's it greg was an innocent victim and he was punished the officer wasn't and it's possible chargers could still come but as of right now the only criminal charges that came out of this mention absolutely nothing about a shooting nothing about the what happened to gray that greg was physically attacked now the sheriff's department shows up and the supervisor starts to try to explain [Applause] it's uh i don't know i haven't got the bottom of it real what happened all i know is they were shooting james is supposed to be involved we got a car with a bullet holes in it but they're on the opposite side of the bar it's like they may be shot at the car going this way and they turn around and come back there's a gun over lamborghini spout one i don't know what it belongs to yet there's cases down there uh but like i said i don't know between the that mass and the bar and james out here acting like that i couldn't get nothing done and thankfully the body cam stayed on so now we get to hear the sort of post incident discussion between the police officers which makes it even that much more surprising how this thing completely went away okay except for greg you guys want to wait and see what they say before chief said something that mullins is involved in he said he possibly gets the state police down here to work so i told him the sheriff's department already showed up i tried to tell him i had we got everybody in that bar since he had a gun on multiple occasions he's one of the victims or complaints we said he just opened today we ain't shut down for 10 days okay walk over for now and uh where else might talk to you all right and came back i guess it's james is the they got kids together um i guess she was in her bad mouth on a baby daddy yeah they came out here to you know teach them a lesson when he came here and then he get another time here they were trying to contain him because i told him it's not worth this girl or your job they tried to contain them they did their best they could and but he just got out of control what happened with the car here well at the beginning when i was out here they was arguing about this girl right here that she wouldn't come home i was going to come out of the barn and i guess a friend of theirs he said come on i don't play this stuff and then he i got a gun until he he he approached his gun out in the car another young man i got a gun too and then um i guess they rolled up about right right here yeah it's funny how your car's gonna drive when i gotta go and he drove okay so who's the young man up here with the phone that's the owner and so are you guys related no i'm just the guys just down i've been doing this stuff a long time and i'm trying to get this place straightened up because i used to work all kind of i did it for 20 years he asked me to help him to get straightened out he's going pretty good though yeah he's a good guy he just he just feel like he's getting harassed i think well i understand but you got you but you got to go by these guidelines of everybody doing what they got to do have all that not i think i got something [Music] but um i just get this out of the way uh joe's on his way up here too we're not sure how you guys want to handle it i know the owner of this place has raised a cane with bluefield over some past [ __ ] but this has been an everyday occurrence here and now we supposedly have an officer i'll do the officer involved yeah it looks bad yeah so um i don't know how you guys feel you guys called us over here do you guys want us to work it or how you guys want us to proceed that's a cheap call all right so we're going to be saying do you have any evidence tags with you when you watch your thing away because we'll go ahead and start with this and uh we'll wait for you guys really have that's why i caught them grabbing at the bottom of it it took me till they got here to get james in the [ __ ] cruiser and back to the office and [ __ ] is his problem then it took me choking him out i thought him in the [ __ ] payment what we can tell that's what we can tell is uh one of the baby mamas was here he got in a domestic with her supposedly from this guy said he slapped her around a few times some other people got riled up separating them supposedly he flashed the gun some other kid i don't know who it is plastic gun they have changed gunfire the exchange come back yeah supposedly from one of them that the other guy shot here no or i think he said molded shot and then the other guy whipped his car around came down the shot who's the other guy as of yet i do not know between between him and james i couldn't get [ __ ] done for nothing at all then i'll finally get brian and get him up here and halfway get him calm down this one's yelling at it and james comes running back down here skinny literally took me thrown him in the [ __ ] pavement but cuffs on him and putting him in the cruiser out here no you were silly top ten worst i've ever seen from anybody criminal police officer anyone yeah hit me in a jaw accidental but it was just so [ __ ] ironic hitting me in the [ __ ] lip is it great i don't know no i didn't smell alcohol on him yeah get your car on that end right he's i approved our office with 10 201 and brownie had to put a handcuffs on us greg still here get him in the car yeah we just now got him in there he's out here filming raising hell they're you know oh now look what uh their police officers want down here with the gun now so the other guy said that uh whoever this other man that mullins was arguing with was in this area somewhere when he started shooting i don't know there could be other rounds up through here too you want us to back up son oh i called the sheriff's office for help first well yeah to try to get down and get the situation controlled because it was that nick then i figured they might as well do [ __ ] i guess because i didn't want him it was james involved and then he had everybody out here hollering screaming and greg acting crazy i couldn't get nothing out anymore no hey you couldn't keep him from yelling and screaming and cousin with them that's not who they're all down whoever's standing out there mostly greg my what i could gather it was great what do you think he's saying police officer with the police officers shoot my bar up and now he don't have any cameras so this is officer purdy who was i believe james's supervisor talking to bluefield detective kenny adams and kenny adams just said yeah we don't have any surveillance footage because we already confiscated greg's surveillance footage and that is a long story and we'll get to it at some point i'm telling you you know what i know the only thing that i know difference you this is the idiots is we're acting full here because i couldn't do nothing and we tried to try straighten james up just as soon as i get him up there and get him halfway calm down they back at it again he pushed he pushed her down right here and back there caught me slammed her down really yeah slammed her poom slammed he pushed i don't can't tell you how many times he's prisoner hit on riding or lambert or me he knocked my damn camera off three [ __ ] times i had to put it on three times four times i put my camera on last time anyway let me see if i can get anything out of greg at least get some information on who did who damn shooting with hell i don't know i had about half calm down over at one time correct yeah and then started again who's the other guy that came out and talked to us i don't know anything about him oh did you clear that gun i just touch it it's just like it was yeah just locked at the rear it was already locked back when you failed when i looked at it through the windshield i'm gonna go ahead and shut the door now there's gonna be a treat to work with officer involved so the trooper's gonna work but did you let this man threaten my life and my business and it's okay the same two officers per t and lambert let him threaten my life and let him walk around and run around the bar and keep gunning for shooters right yep uh we found some chill casings one bullet and then a fire ground but i don't know whose is whose what round is this one in here that's probably a 45 i'd say it's right here yeah it's a 45 all right these spent shell casings up here should be the other other guy right they what are they nines yeah yeah that one [Music] it probably wasn't far from it i mean probably right situation right time or maybe i made it so earlier [Music] well i was kind of vape with them because i had so much going on i just told them to get you on the route apparently i don't trust us to work well i mean it truly is mostly told me how it does go and you got offers involved but that's also involved shooting yeah you got off off-duty guy here i don't know your other statement i think in 22 years i've never took that much [ __ ] from anyone until i got is oh his [ __ ] job and now it's stuck in here it was several points several points he was treating us as bad as treating them pushing around stuff i hadn't had enough of it this was the last thing i expected when i got this car now let's fly if you would ask me what's going on down there i wouldn't have said this my honest opinion would not relationship because they come and they just told us uh they need me to respond to blue or green sports bars and my first thoughts that's a [ __ ] side to city limits what the [ __ ] then there's like blitzville pd requests outside agency for uh i uh had there a fight that turned into shots fired and i was funny they don't [ __ ] kill somebody that's why i see you i see you take someone here like i brought you home i left my damn phone up in the office yeah i was like that's good i was turning on 19 i was like maybe i'll have these fights but she didn't wait for what's going on but she didn't wait for both foot officers and boyfriend officers you guys know that girl you know yeah did you know i know oh he told me he wasn't on call but he would come out and i was like i don't think he will come out for this one he's like i finally understand what the hell happened inform me please she apparently you know james [ __ ] cheats on her all the time hell it's not a not a freaking secret so it was apparently she left the house they got my argument at the house she left the house come down here he followed james salter down here they got in the argument disagreement out here two guys malachi cooper and rafael which is his brother i've dealt with him before they saw the argument they didn't like the way it was going on so they pulled some guns out on james and he pulled a gun out back on them and that's when the shooting happened pretty much suggested he would have probably all right we stopped she was apparently down here at the bar trying to pick up me trying to what pick up my man wow finally figured it out oh he's tall you know he's gone that's not like 57 minutes of cell phone video where they don't know so i understood he was beating the [ __ ] over two dudes come on here they got into it they're saying people did transport the gun first she's saying that they weren't good people or they called guns and james it's one of them [ __ ] shitty situations and i'm glad i don't like the [ __ ] touch yeah that's no that's not good either way you look good oh and pushed her down like a man i mean not like oh i mean hard hard hard what's up we believe it happened that's a mess man that's a tough one right there that's a tough one so you said brownies up there with him chief to this that's where he got floated in the pavement right there where the blood is so mike yeah it might be from his head though something got you got you what building so it's enough to drive you crazy right there boys okay let's review what are the only criminal charges that came out of this um so far let's look at the criminal complaint all right is this what happened that on 10 24 2021 hours this trooper received a public service from the bluefield police department chief dennis dillo requesting the assistance of the west virginia state police on the investigation of an incident that occurred inside the city limits of bluefield and involving james e mullins the accused and an off-duty member of the bluefield police department this trooper sent the on-call trooper jm ayers to the scene trooper airs let's see i think that's a typo at 550 hours and was met by detective kenny adams who advised that the accused james mullins had been involved in a physical altercation with the victim taylor whatever trooper ayers then met with the accused at the bluefield police department and at that time received a statement from the accused the accused was advised of his miranda rights by detective adams and said wright's statement as referenced in trooper air's statement the accused advised he had received a call from the victim that stated she was being held against her will at greg's bar in bluefield the accused then went to the bar and physically removed the victim from the bar and got into an altercation with some subjects on the outside of the bar during part of the altercation the accused pushed the victim to the ground causing the victim to scrape her knee the accused was placed under arrest and charged with domestic battery and domestic assault this incident occurred in mercer county but wait a minute why is there nothing in there about everything we just watched nothing in there about a shooting and when did we hear anything about the alleged victim or baby mama being held against her will that's not what we saw on the video that's not what we heard all the multiple witnesses say is this just sort of a rally the wagons around the police officers sort of deal and this is it after my foia request this is all of the information i received now the they are saying that the investigation is ongoing so it's technically and theoretically possible that there could be more criminal charges coming that's not the feeling that i get based on what i've been told so far let's also take a look at the abc order suspending and taking the license away from mr saunders and what does the order from the abc commissioner suspending greg's bar license say about this incident as why he needed to be suspended well it says they've been they've been in contact with the bluefield police department and the west virginia state police regarding a disagreement possible fight and shootout between patrons all of which occurred at near or emanating from the licensee's licensed premises well was the off-duty cop a patron no we know for a fact he absolutely was not a patron not that they mentioned that there was an off-duty police officer here who started the altercation not even inside the bar what else does it say information available at this time indicates that on or about the early morning hours of october 24th 2021 according to the enforcement agent conversations with the bluefield police department the state police and the licensee's owner that the initial altercation started inside the licensee's licensed premises i don't think the evidence showed that at all apparently two of the licensees patrons a male and a female were involved in a shoving match involving domestic battery and assault if the male they're referring to is the off-duty police officer we know it's undisputed that he was not a patron continuing on the male patron has been charged okay that must be the off-duty police officer because he was the only person charged so he was not a patron false information apparently made it found its way to abc and we heard on the video how threats were made including by the off-duty police officer shooter that greg would get shut down following this incident so the guy that made that threat the guy that started it the guy they referred to as the male patron we know he was male yes but he was not a patron and the male patron returned gunfire okay the police accounts vary from the account of the licensee's owner where the altercation did occur and whether it should be whether the altercation did occur inside the licensee's licensed premises we know that it didn't the only time it occurred inside is when bluefield police officers in uniform escorted the violent off-duty officer inside greg's bar and attacked him and then attacked him again at the front door he was not a patron he had never previously been inside greg's bar continuing on at this time the police be believed the licensee's owner was intoxicated during the incident and the licensee's owner was involved or threatened by the male patron did you in that what hour of body cam hear anything about about or see any evidence of greg being intoxicated or seeing him drink where did that come from the only thing you heard on that body cam video was the violent criminal off-duty police officer who kept going on and on about greg being a drunk there was there was that wasn't brought up even by the other police officers present but look how after this thing is quietly uh pushed under the rug look how they use this to attack greg so it looks like we're at about the hour point here so that probably is more than enough for this let's call it part one video i mentioned earlier on that there was more to the story and it had to do with the cops taking greg's surveillance system taking his dvr his laptop everything and there's more to that story they actually got a search warrant for his surveillance footage and executed that search warrant and ended up searching his entire bar and i believe that they exceeded the scope of that search warrant so there will be more on this it's just way too much but it is just it's just a crazy situation so i'm keep following make sure you subscribe because there will be a part two possibly a part three as we dig more into this and i'm not going to leave out the abc either you know i i'm interested to find out you know their enforcement methods their enforcement statistics their enforcement actions on other bars around or has greg been singled out for some reason which i don't want to to speculate on what that reason can be could be but i hope they have their stuff in order and i look forward to digging into this a little further
