He was like this basically and I didn't see him like starting over and then Okay. Okay. 911. What is your emergency? A boy uh he was on one of those uh scooter things like electric scooters and he ran into the back of my car. I saw him get up and like run out of the road. Is was it one of those motorized scooters? Yeah, it was like the bird scooter. He must have like driven off on the bird, I guess, cuz I didn't know where he went. All right, we'll send someone out to where you're at. Okay. Okay. Thank you. You're welcome. Hello. How's it going? You okay? What's going on? Um, there's a kid being stupid on a bird. Okay. He ran into the back of my car. Okay. And I like freaked out and called my mom and I wasn't sure what to do. I've never been in like a like Okay, you're good. You're calm down. Calm down. You're good. What? Where's the scooter? Did he just get up and go? Yeah. Well, I I slowed down and like went over and I watched him get out like run out of the road with the scooter and then I pulled over into like a little turn off thing and I got and I there was a bunch of like there's like trees and bushes and stuff on the sidewalk and like neighborhoods and stuff so I don't know if he like ran into that. Where did this happen at? It was it was back there a little bit. It was on rural and I got on my phone with my mom. I didn't I don't know why I didn't call 911, but I called my mom first right away. And I don't know why I kept driving. Um after it happened like rural and what? Like right before I turned on to Broadway. It was like right before the traffic the light right here. So you were on rural? Yeah. Okay. And you turned left on Broadway or right on Broadway. Were you going north or south on rural? I was trying to go this way. I was going south on rural. Okay. So you made a right-hand turn. I pulled over. There's like a little corner thing and that's where I had pulled over first. A little laundry mat there. Yeah. And then and then I got out there. And were you pulling out of a neighborhood or were you on rural? I was on rural. I was coming down rural. And you were making a like a right-hand turn on like on a green light. I was going That's what my plan was. But then after that happened, I turned into like So he hit you while you were stopped in the roadway? No, I was in the middle lane. Okay. And I saw him like I don't know if he was like I mean he had like a backpack on his stuffs but he looked like he was like drunk or something like I don't know. Okay. And there was a truck behind him and he had honked at him and he was like going like this like so he was walking where he shouldn't have been is what you're saying. Yeah. He was literally in the middle of the road. Okay. And he was not in a crosswalk anything like that. No. It was like we were still like all driving walking the scooter or riding the scooter like riding it and he was swerving on it and we all had like slowed down and I didn't think he was going to like I was like he's not going to So where do you hit your car? There's a mark here. So he like Okay. So he didn't my cart. So okay. And then he just got up and walked off and then you pulled over but he Yeah, he left and then you kind of Yeah, I know. I don't know. I'm sorry I didn't call right away. That's okay. And no one else stopped and said anything or because we didn't get any calls. You're the only call that we had as far as what happened. Had stopped. Okay. Yeah. Have you had other accidents or something? Cuz you have significant rim damage which would not be caused by the scooter. Oh, like all this? I've never That wouldn't be caused by a scooter. That's a lot of I've never even chip in a sidewalk or something like get in the curb. I've never been in an accident before. My sister used to drive this car, so that could have And you was Did you notice this before? I've never noticed that before. Okay. You never noticed this either like this? No, that was kind of by hand with a nice dent there, too. Operator asked me if there's any damage. I was like, I don't think so, but let me check. And then I got out and Okay. Saw there was that, which I mean, it's So, this happened at Royal Broadway. We were in the middle lane. Mhm. And there's a car on the left of me. Otherwise, I would have tried to but I would have hit them and I I'm I'm trying to picture it here. Hold on. Okay. So, you're going south, but you want to make a right on the Broadway. So, you better you should be in the right lane. Are you not quite there yet? In the right lane. No, cuz I just turned left onto road and then you're getting over and there was a truck there and then I saw the kid there and I was like, well, I can't get over right now. So, I was going to wait for that truck to pass and get but and this happened like at the intersection of Broadway and rural it was it was before just before like how far before or did you pass that uh the stop light there at the Starbucks at Vista Elero? Yeah, you just you already passed that. So, you're between that light and like so how far away from Broadway and Rural like how far back do you think you were? How far north of the intersection were you? Probably like I'm trying to think of like I mean it was still a good amount back from the light. Okay. So you were So you were still approaching to try to get over to us still. He was like cuz we had all like slowed down. So we going that fast but like I had stopped. So he was crossing the middle of the road where he shouldn't be crossing. You saw you saw a truck stop on the right of you that was honking at him and then you were you kept going. That's when he hit came out. Okay. I think I'm just trying to make sure like I understand what's going on. I don't know why. I just don't get why he was in the like the street. Okay. Copy 28. He just walked right back to where he came from and then he just ran to the sidewalk. He just left. Okay. So, I was like, I guess he's okay, but I was freaking out. And so, like, but what if he's not okay? Well, that's okay. Well, how fast were you going when he hit you, do you think? I was going 40 and then I saw him and then I was probably going like so I started slowing down but it like happened so fast really fast. You don't really Okay. So you're going 40 and they were slowing down. 30 35 probably. Okay. And he just hit the side and bounced back. Yeah. You didn't run him over. He didn't hit you know in the front or anything like that then. Okay. And then you saw him get up. You pulled over and then he left and then you didn't know what to do. Okay. Okay. Oh, that's okay. Hey, that's okay. I mean in the future if you get hit, just pull over. Call 911. Then you can call your mom. make sure getting everyone on the phone first. That way we can respond. At least that way if someone's hurt or worse yet, someone gets pissed and starts wanting to fight you or trying to fight you, then get us on in route. At least then, okay, you can call your mom like, "Hey, here's what happened." But that's okay. No, you're fine. Um, also, I mean, at least you made the attempt to stop cuz I'm not worried about it. Okay? Just when you get in an accident, make sure you stop and you you stop as as soon as possible safely. Okay? And try to contact that partner. If they get out and run, then you're fine. My my what we what you should do is you should just stay there so we can kind of look at the spot where he hit you. You can point Okay, that's where it was and go from there, you know. Um and kind of go from there. That way you're good because you're supposed to stay at the scene of where it happened. That way we can get a better idea and stuff. Go back and show you cuz I would remember if I was right there. Okay. No, that's okay. We're fine. We'll take the report here and then I'll just kind of look at I can follow satellite images to kind of figure out where he was and then do an estimate of like where where you were where he was. And so you were in the middle lane when he hit you. Yeah. So, was the vehicle in the right lane completely stopped for him? No. No. He Well, cuz he was still up ahead of it. So, then he started honking. The truck was honking at him. Okay. And the way the sidewalk is like it's like it's got bushes and stuff and all that. Well, it's Yeah. And then it's like he couldn't like it's not like a curb where he could have gone up. So, I like Okay. I think all the all the cars are just So, did the truck pass him and then he went behind the truck and hit him or did he in front of us? But like I was at the same stoplight back with that truck and the other car behind me and we were all going and saw him up ahead, but he was like far ahead at that. Was he Oh, was he going southbound on rural in the in the in the on the scooter? He was on the sidewalk. He was acting like he was in a car in the right lane, but he was on a scooter and he was like that. He was weaving in the lanes into the middle lane or your lane and the lane to the right of you. Yeah. Okay. And so the truck honked at him so slowed down for him. Okay. So, he was going south and with you guys. He wasn't on the sidewalk. He was on the road and then he swerved into your lane and hit you and fell and then Okay, that makes sense. Okay. Do you have your license, registration, and the insurance? Okay. Let me I mean, while you get that, I'm going to get some paperwork for you to fill out. Okay. All right. Thank you. 12 of 10 info. [Applause] 12k 27 89. One second. [Applause] I've got a 245 running down at Broadway headed eastbound three to go 23 call 11 13 traffic go Reference tire 2911 station clear 0 9 08. Okay. Last name Shaw Sam Henry Adam William Edward Gabrielle George Adam Boy Robert Ida Edward link. [Applause] Okay. Let me take a look at this real quick. I'm going to have you fill it out cuz you're going to need the paperwork for it. So, there's that. Feel negative. Just Arizona regular plate. Okay, real quick. All I'm going to need you to do for me is just fill out the top box insurance information. Tell me what happened. You can draw it if you want and then sign it down here when you're done. Okay. Okay. Thank you. There you go. 104. Thank you. [Applause] Were you wearing contact Are you wearing contact lenses? I have glasses. Okay. Were you wearing them at the time of the wreck? Okay. Just make sure you keep them on when you're driving. That's good. You're good. Perfect. Just got to ask. [Applause] I text somebody for the I don't know the policy number and stuff. Yeah, it'll be on that card. So, okay. Yeah. What was the uh the guy? What was the description of the guy? He looked possibly Hispanic. He had dark hair and you know darker skin than me a little bit. Okay. What was he wearing? He was wearing a black t-shirt and pants. I don't remember. Like lighter pants, I think. and she had a black backpack on. Oh, hold on. [Applause] We might have found that guy. Oh, really? Okay, we might have it. [Applause] One or 12. 103. [Applause] That description matches the description for my 61 Henry here. So, if you get there, just let me know what's going on. Um, let's see if that is our guy. He was on a scooter. Black or Hispanic male, black shirt, black pants with a black backpack. Might have found him. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] That's a good phone number for you. Perfect. Thank you. [Music] Do you have the uh I'll take the um registration. No, the registration. Yeah. Okay. Thank you. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Were [Applause] you wearing your seat belt at the time? Yes, sir. Okay. When it says lane of travel, do I say like just put don't worry. Uh your it's your lane of travel. So like middle lane or Yeah, just put uh two. We'll know what that means. [Applause] You hit it to work volunteer at a hospital. Okay. Which is that you done with the insurance? Yeah. I'll take that real quick and give this back to you. [Applause] [Applause] Do you have the current one? This one's expired now. I just look at it. Expired March 19th. Oh my gosh. You can pull it up on your phone. You can uh I guess everything else is same. I just need to see the current proof. And then here's your license back. All right. Yeah, you can have your dad or mom send it on a text message. Just get that for me. Okay. [Applause] Yeah. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] [Music] Three of 19. Okay, perfect. So, it looks like they did find him. So, just to I I just want to make sure we're clear cuz we did find the scooterist. Yeah. So, he's he'll be okay. It sounds like he'll be okay, but he is kind of hurt. Um we'll try to get you his information so you have it. Okay. So, I just want to get this straight. So, you were going south. You were in the middle lane. So, you had lane of traffic on the one side on both sides of you. Scooter risk was in the the right lane going south along the curb. No. Or he was he was driving in it. He was like just weaving it in the middle weaving. Okay. Weaving. Cars were behind him honking it, but they slowed down for him. You were passing and you didn't see him until basically he got into your lane and he sideswiped you basically. Okay. That's what you're saying. Yes. Okay. And then you pulled over. He got off the road and then ran away or to get back on the scooter or whatever. And he was riding his scooter. Correct. He was riding away. Okay. Let me see. Perfect. I'll take that for now. Um I'm just waiting to get that information from him so I can give that to you. I'm going to take photos real quick too of your car. Um, so basically when you have a scooterist, they're technically a vehicle that when they're when they're driving or engaging their scooter as far as riding it in the road, they are allowed to be in the road cuz they're not supposed to be in the sidewalk cuz sideways are like pedestrians only. So when you think of a scooter kind of like a bicycle. So they're kind of the laws of a vehicle apply to bicyclists and then scooterists when they're engaged in that. So, he's allowed to be in the street, which is fine, but when he comes and sideswipes you, then that means that he is he's the one that violates him. So, we're trying to we're going to try to see. We don't doesn't look we have any witnesses at least that called it in um so we'll try to get his story with that officer. Once I get his name and stuff like that, I will give it to you um on So, what's what you're going to have here? This will be the report number. Okay. Non-emergency phone number. And then this is the records bureau. This is what you call if you want a report number or get the report. Now, I would call USAA and make a claim with them saying, "Here's what happened. Police report was taken. They'll ask for the police report information that they have it." And then you can usually request the report from them cuz they'll request a report from us and you can get it from them. You don't really have to pay anything. Okay? Um cuz sometimes your insurance companies will provide you the report. You don't have to pay anything. He's going to pay five or 10 bucks to get a report from us. Um but give that a little while just because we got to see if he has any information uh insurance information. He may not. That way, you know, your insurance company will know, okay, what's going on and then fixing your car here. Okay. So, you just want to wait in here for now. Um I'm going to take some photos um of your car of the damage to just make sure he see Did he was weaving? Did he make like a sharp turn and he like head like it was in front of his scooter that hit you? Did he kind of sl I mean it looked like he kind of hit like like Okay. A little bit diagonally. Like diagonally. Okay. Like this basically and I didn't see him like starting over and then Okay. Okay. So, all right. Well, once I get his name and information, then uh you're good to go. Like I said, and like say for the future references, that way you don't get hemed up with anything like that. Um yeah, you you do the correct thing of stopping right away and just make sure you kind of stay there to make sure we can we can figure out there. Okay. Um and go I know I get your first time. It's like Yeah, it's very chaotic. So, um let me take photos real quick. Try to get that and we can get you on your way. Hey, you ready to call your your hospital and say, "Hey, I'm going to be late." Yeah. Okay. But well, at least you're okay. I'm wondering about that. Yeah. Look at that. Cuz that I don't know. Cuz you have it up here, too. You have some up here. It's like you hit a curb or you like sidewipe the curb is usually will do that. My dad told me that my sister hit a curb. So, I don't know if maybe that was That's what it looks like. Yeah. No, cuz the thing about your rims, they are very strong. A scooter scooter wouldn't do him. I think so. That I can understand cuz the scooters can go 15 20 mph. Yeah. So, [Applause] course. Hey, man. What's up? Okay, that's going to be the report number, my information, phone number, stuff like I've already explained to you. On the back is his name, okay? His address, and a phone number. So, give that to your insurance. Okay, let me finish taking photos of your car real quick and then you're good to go. [Applause] I just want to be sure. I wasn't even worried about that. I was just worried that like he was okay and well, even though it's not her fault. Correct. Yeah, cuz she was telling looking at the I'm like, "Someone hit a curb. That's not from the scooter." Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's And if you look at the uh you're going to want to change your right front tire. If you look at the wall, you can see she took a nice chunk of the tire out and that's going to be it's hazardous. You're going to want to get that changed. Yeah. So, if you look at the edge of the tire here, right here, you got the interfacing of the tire. So if you hit something like so norally when you hit a curb and you go over at a decent speed you'll be fine. You your integrity the structure that the tire is done now with that there cuz if you hit a curb it's just going to go. If you go at high speeds enough you go fast enough and hit something just right the tire's going to blow. Hello
