going off the road we know the rules man we know the rules I'm out of the scene listen I'm not worried about this first amendment [ __ ] up to that light pole right there this whole area right here it's got to open everything go keep it on I'm getting ready to go now when you tape it all move go up there now it's getting ready to be taped off go up there now yeah I'm not I'm out of the scene get in your car and go up there let's go foreign yesterday that several Oak Hill West Virginia police officers had supposedly overdosed after narcotics were allegedly thrown at them by a suspect they were attempting to arrest I was already looking into the science behind these claims when I found out that a client of mine actually witnessed what happened and began filming this scene with his cell phone he provided me with the raw footage I'll show it to you now I did try a rather pathetic attempt at blurring one of the officers faces as it seemed the right thing to do it definitely appears to be going through an event here first however let me read to you the official statement from the Fayette County Sheriff's Department about this incident given the fact that they've charged this suspect with attempted murder of police officers I ask you to watch this footage and give me your thoughts is the statement given by the police supported by the footage what does the footage show what does the footage not show from my understanding prior to the camera being turned on this use of force incident had been ongoing for approximately 30 seconds so we missed the very beginning but much of it was captured and here's the statement that the sheriff's department gave quote just before six o'clock P.M on September 27 2022 an officer with the Oak Hill Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of something something overpass while the officer interacted with the occupants of the vehicle the passenger exited the vehicle and fled from the officer the officer caught the subject he began to physically be combative at this time a Second Officer arrived to assist during the struggle the subject reached into his pocket and ripped open a bag believed to be opiate narcotics in powder form and threw it into the officer's faces the officers were able to get the subject in custody at which time one of the officers collapsed and began actively overdosing shortly after the Second Officer began to exhibit symptoms of the same thankfully an off-duty nurse was passing by at the time and helped the render Aid and administer Narcan which ultimately saved the lives of these officers both officers were transported and treated at Plateau Medical Center and were cleared late last night the second occupant who fled is still at large and is considered a person of interest in need of questioning the subject identified as Keith Adams in North Carolina is currently in law enforcement custody at the hospital pending his arraignment for attempted murder charges in Fayette County thank you thank you ah you have it ah come on thank you we know the rules man we know the rules I'm out of the scene listen I'm not worried about this first amendment [ __ ] up to that light pole right there this whole area right here got to open everything go keep it off I'm getting ready to go now when you tape it I'll move go up there now it's getting ready to be taped off go up there now yeah I'm not I'm out of the scene get in your car and go up there foreign all right okay yes sir does the video corroborate the Sheriff's Department's statement we see a lot of things and we don't see much activity at all out of the RSD let's hope the body cams were running and more video was captured there certainly were other bystanders as we can see in the video I'm very interested in this drug contact issue and these law enforcement claims to overdoses I'm certainly not an expert here and I'm looking into it and I'm not saying that that's exactly not exactly what happened but let's hope there's a full investigation here but my hopes really aren't up given the fact that we have an eyewitness here who is recording this incident and instead of even requesting a copy of the video the phone was actually just taken from him and thrown in a ravine so there's a lot going on here hopefully more footage will surface and we can sort it out and if investigators want to reach out to me I'd be happy to on behalf of my client make this raw footage available to them just let me know or if you have additional information or just comments please also let me know make sure to subscribe and I'm by the way just almost over the 100 000 subscriber mark on YouTube and I really appreciate that and please help me get over it I think I get a trophy for it I'm not sure remember freedom is scary deal with it I'll see you next time
