So see if you can call supervisor over there right now. 95 central. Where you at? Grande on Highway 70s here sir before the exit. So anytime because you probably don't know her. No, I don't. But anytime there's an employee involved or any law enforcement or anything like that, you got to call supervisor no matter what. Um I didn't recognize her when she was passed out. That's why when she when she when we had her step out, that's when I said just leave her there and we'll just call for supervisor. Um, so right now, um, just continue with your investigation. State police is up there. See if you can make two fight with him and, uh, see what's going on. Let's see. We'll see if we can locate this male that was on the highway right now. Okay. So, I said she was driving. She was driving. She She had been following her and uh she watched her. She pulled over and she watched her get out of the driver's side into the passenger side. So she was by continue the invest she on the she's on the passenger side right now. Yeah because I think she I saw her get out and I had another car was right here too but I guess they left already. Okay. Um go ahead and I'll be right back. Hold on. Stay with me. Um hello Okay. So, we have uh 839 over here in a truck. The truck is on the side of the road. We have a independent witness that says she saw um the female in the blue truck, which is 839 driving and the female just jumped over to the passenger side of the vehicle. Um we she is intoxicated. She has CO 19. Uh and she the independent witness said that she was the only one in the vehicle and that she was driving. I don't even know why they she was even following her. Um standby. Do you have the ID? Can I see the ID real quick? Hold on, Sergeant. Oh, and why were you following her, man? Just out of curiosity. It's because um when I saw her right there off the road runner cuz I was about to turn like if I'm heading towards like the the movies. Okay. She was at the stop like right before you get into the highway. Uhhuh. And what I noticed was like people were honking at her and when I turned I was like why are they honking? And I noticed she was like this and I freaked out. I was like oh my god maybe something happened to her. You know like maybe she had like a medical. So I honked and she had her window rolled down. That's my roll down. And I was all like, "Are you okay?" She's like, "Yeah." But then she went straight and I was like, "You know what? I better like just at least follow her to check up on her because what if like, you know, she has a medical condition or what if she is intoxicated, you know?" Okay. All right. Thank you. All right, Sergeant. So, I don't know if you heard that, but is the witness and she actually saw uh there she was there at Roadrunner. I believe the way she described it is she was probably at Roadrunner and Northrise and then she heard a lot of cars honking. Um, so the truck didn't move. Well, when she pulled up, that's when she saw the driver with her head slumped down and she didn't know if she was having a medical condition or possibly was CO 19. So, that's when she followed her up the highway cuz that's when the truck took off um that's when the truck took off uh northbound um and got on the highway from Roadrunner. All right, sir. What did this girl say? What's that? What this girl say? So, right now we have a sergeant showing up because of the fact that she she is an employee of ours. She's an employee. Yeah. So, we need to let a supervisor get involved in this incident and stuff like that. So, I'm going to have this female just have her hang tight, bro. call her the we have a supervisor on the way. Um so we'll see what what he wants to do about it. So Oh, she's a Is she a cop there? Yeah. Oh shit. Well, She still passed out. Yeah. Yeah. So, I'm red. I'm red, by the way. So, we got Sergeant on the way right now. So, you guys So, you guys are all hot, huh? Yeah. I'm not this guy here. Yeah. You need me for anything, bro? No, I think we're good, bro. Yeah. So, right now we have Sergeant on his way. All right. You guys have the fucking car in front of you, right? Yeah. Yeah. All right. We just hang tight here. Okay. Do you want the door open or closed? For what? Huh? You have me stopped for what? We have you stopped. We We don't have you stopped. We checked out because somebody saw the vehicle and pulled over and saw somebody blowing up on the side of the road and they were concerned that somebody was going to get hit. Okay. All right. Well, we got the sergeant on the way to to come uh investigate. Who there? Uh the person who saw you or the person throwing up on the side of the road. Well, no. Okay. You want it open? Okay, that's fine. Yo, gift. That is the officer Martinez from Hops. He's a lateral. So, that's that today. Yes. And who else? That's it. Right. So right now we'll just wait. I'm pretty sure your investigator involved just when Sergeant shows up just I mean I call he called anyways cuz he doesn't have his phone number. So I kind of explained to him a little bit about what's going on. And uh you guys want to move it move the truck out of him? Uh no. You guys have got it on video and you guys Yeah. No, we're we're red right here. We're red on our cameras. So, but no. Yeah, I don't have video in this my my radar. I'll let you guys deal with that. Yeah, appreciate it, man. Oh, man. You need anything from me, brother? Yeah, I'll let you guys deal with that. Thanks, man. So, does uh another agency usually investigate these or No. So well the sergeant will make the determination. Uh so right now we just like I said policy if you ever see or they identify themselves as another law enforcement agency whatever call supervisor. Okay. And then they will they will do it. Oh that's the lady that was following her. I guess she saw her passed out at the intersection somewhere off road off the movies. You said out of the movies. She was knocking the group there. I was outside. I was just trying to kind of hear it a little bit and I guess apparently she slumped over and people behind her at the fourway were honking at her. They went around her. When she got close to her, she saw her passed out and I started following her. Got her up here and she pulled to the side, jumped out, vomited and then jumped in the bathroom. Yeah. Yes. There you go. No. All right. It's cold, dude. I know. I know. You want to close the door so you can just warm up a little bit. Can I turn off my truck? Your truck is already shut off. Can I turn it off all the way? Yes, it's off all the way. Can you turn it off all the way? It is turn off all the way. All right. So, anyways. Yeah. So, always call to call us. Yeah. And that's why I know you didn't know and that's why she stepped out. I said, "Well, we'll just we'll put her back in and then we'll I thought I did something wrong." No, no, no, no, no. Yeah. No, I just as soon as I saw her, I said, "We'll call. We're not." Put her in custody. She was just Yeah. resisted. Yeah. So, and you told the female to stand by this. Okay. Good. Thanks, man. Appreciate you. Yep. I I didn't check if there was any firearms or anything inside the vehicle. No. Yeah, don't worry about that, man. Right now. Right now, we're just watching and we're just waiting for a supervisor and then when supervisor gets you, we'll let him know. Well, we'll let him know what we actually have. Okay. Yes. Can you call my phone? Huh? Can you call my phone? Fuck. It's cold in here. Can you tell my phone number on my tripod? I don't think I have your phone number. You It's cold. Dude, you're waking up your car. Sorry. What? Hold on. Can you feel free? Hold on. Let me back up here. What is your phone number? Okay. 4965. Uh-huh. 49 49 496 486. Huh? Um. Um. It's ringing. Yeah, I hear it. Are you sitting on it? There's a shirt right there somewhere. No. Do you hear it? I'm sorry. No. Go back. Go back. Do it again. Do it again. You're doing that again. Yep. Oops. It is easier. Easier. There's a clutch right here. Oh, there it is. We got it. Okay. I'll close the door. Okay. I'm sorry. So, I will call officer Marian after 3 on Sunday to let him know uh what's going on with you since you'll be going to him on Monday. Okay. go to channel 2 and see if uh if they said if it was a male or female that was throwing up. So go 950 central going to channel two and then central 7 channel 2 9. Can you advise if uh from my call if there was a female or a male that was seen throwing up in reference to my car? Thank you. Back to one of what's going on. Um, so let me tell you how I'll let him tell his side of the story, but how I decided to call you. So we rolled up, we got a call of a female possibly throwing up on the side of the road. They didn't want her to get hit. I We roll up, I see a female passed out. I start looking around because, you know, where was she at when she was in the passenger seat? Okay. Um, I didn't know it was her though until he ordered her to step out of the car. That's when she got out and I saw her and I told her just have a seat back in the car and then I'm just going to call you. Uh, he went ahead and investigated or interviewed the the independent witness who's up front and um and then I'll let you tell I'll let him tell you what. Um, as far as for the witness, um, I didn't hear how she came into contact, but she said basically she followed her up here on 70, saw her pull to the side. Um, and then she saw her like only one occupant, only one occupant, female exit the vehicle, walked out, uh, threw up, and then entered into the passenger, and then she went ahead and she got ready for us to respond. So, so we can make sure she was okay. She wasn't sure if she was intoxicated or had a medical issue, so she was just very safe. deal with uh when we backtracked when we approached uh I observed the vehicle still running vehicle unlocked. Uh I saw that there was a plate carrier. So I thought maybe a male maybe a male deadly cuz we first got the calls of male throwing up. I guess that's what we heard. Uh so we looked around for a little bit. We didn't see a male. I saw the plate carrier. I opened the door. I saw that she was passed out. I could smell the order of intoxicants emitting from inside the vehicle real strong. So, I make the decision to reach him, turn the vehicle off, not knowing what her reaction would have been if I would have woke her up first. So, I started announcing myself. I told her lost PD, "Wake up, ma'am. Are you okay? Wake up." She refused to wake up. So, I tapped her on the head, nudged her on the shoulder. Um, and asked if she got up, started just saying, "Turn that fucking thing off or something like that." And just started becoming upset cuz I woke her up. So, I told her, "I need you to get up." She said, "No, get the fuck away. Go away." I said, "No, man. I need you to get up." "No, no." I said, "Okay, doing fair. Go ahead and step out of the vehicle for me." And I only ordered that cuz I know Hernando's on the other side. Um she said no no she just consider just you know pretty much just say fuck you go away whatever. So I got out I walked over I opened the door and I gave her order to step out. She said no I don't have to step out and I said man I'm giving you a lawful order to step out. Um when she stepped out that's when Hernandez saw her and told her no go. At that time I didn't know what was going on and then you guys told me. Okay. Uh, I'm gonna go talk to the witness first and and that's when I was on the phone with you. That's when I grabbed the ID from him to see who the witness was and then that's when I asked the witness like where did you see her from? Like what happened? That's when the witness said her ID. Um, I think you gave the ID back to her. I gave the ID back, but I got it. Um, all right. Good. She said that she was coming up Road Runner. she said. And then right at the turn, we're about to go to the movies, which I'm assuming is road runner north because that's the only road that goes that way. Um, she said that that's when she noticed cars honking. Um, she didn't know why they were honking, but when she pulled up closer, she was able to see the blue car, single occupant um um with she was just slouched with her head down in in this manner. Um, she said the windows open, she honked. That's when she got her attention. She asked her if she was okay. She said, "Yeah, I'm fine." The car proceeded towards uh Okay. So, she saw her driving for sure. Yes. Yeah. Let me go talk to the Go ahead. Okay. Go ahead. Set. You're setting. Can you start SP to my 20 please? And uh if you could have him give me a 21. Oh, it's cold out here. I know it is. Hello, man. I'm Sergeant Garcia with the police department. These officers called me over to help them with this investigation. What did you see involving this truck? Okay, this is what happened. Cuz I was getting off of Roadrunner and I was going like towards like I was going towards the the movies like going like on the highway like on the frontage runner and I noticed like these people were like honking. I'm like what are they honking at? And I looked to the right cuz she was like in the regular unit or I'm okay with a regular unit, but if they have a supervisor who wants to give me a 21, that's 104 as well. And I saw like she was like right there like on the next lane. Like maybe like if she was going to she was in the lane that was going to turn. I may get a phone call here in a minute, ma'am. I'm going to need to take it, but I'll Okay. I'll continue on uh speaking with you if that phone call comes. Okay. Okay. And um so and then I noticed that she was like this. Like if she fell asleep, what did she look like? She was like a white younger girl. Mhm. Uh-huh. And like she looked like that. I know. They like she was asleep. Like Yeah. And so like I freaked out because Was there anyone else in the truck with her? And so I started honking. She had her window rolled down and I was like, "Are you okay?" She's all Yeah. And then like she went straight when she said yeah. Does she seem fine? No, she didn't. That's why I followed her. Uhhuh. Because you know she started like she was going towards the new rope like towards they really opened it off the road runner going like that. Then she like turned to make like a U-turn but she was like swerving and I was like you know what I like she was not maintaining her lane. Yeah. Mhm. I was like I better call the cops in case she is intoxicated or So you suspected she was driving drunk and Yeah. because I'm I'm afraid that, you know, she's going to end up killing herself. She's going to kill somebody else and I'm going to be guilty for her. So, she got off the freeway on the highway this way and that's when I called 911 and I was following her and then she like slowed down. She's going 10 mph on the right way and people How far was she going 10 miles an hour? Like how long? like when I was like holding. I don't know if she like noticed me again that I was following her or what and that's when she pulled and then she stopped right there and she got out of her vehicle and I asked her again, "Are you okay?" She said, "Yeah." She went to the bathroom and stuff. Mhm. So, so she went from the drivers to the bathroom. Did she just scoot over inside or did she get out of the vehicle? She got out of the vehicle. Okay. Yeah. What happened when she got out? Like she was like stumbling. What is she doing? And like that's when I was still on the, you know, with the disc. Does she have to use the the truck? She had like to help her stay up. Yeah. And um so and like I waited and I was like, you know, I'm just going to wait until the cops and I was going to go talk to her to see if she was okay. But then I started thinking negative like the worst. Like you know what I mean? She has a gun or whatever. And then I saw like um she got in the couldn't see cuz it's dark you know. Were you in front of her or behind her? I was behind, but then that's when I got in front of her when she just pulled over right there. Okay. So, you were behind her when she pulled over, got out of the driver's side, walked around the truck to the passenger side. Did anything else happened while she was outside of the truck? Uh-uh. That's it. And then that's north cuz somehow I think the officers were sent to somebody throwing up. I got to take this phone call real quick. Hello. Yes, this is him. Officer Deo with state police. How you doing? You don't want to touch which one? Oh yeah. Um, unfortunately we do need your help on this. Just so you know, I am recording right now. Uh, so but okay. All right, man. Let me uh let me fill you in because I don't know. Uh are you a supervisor as well or no? Cuz I don't know what your protocol in something like this would be, but we have a potential uh drunk driver out here who is an offduty detective. And I called my lieutenant and he told me to call you guys out. We have a witness on scene who saw the the offduty officer driving in the driver's seat. Uh she pulled over here, got out of her truck, stumbled around and got in the passenger seat, but she stood by. Our witness stood by said uh the offduty officer was the only one in the vehicle and that there's nobody else who got in or out. Okay. Okay. Yeah. All right, dude. Thank you. All right. Bye. Sorry about that. that I had to talk to state police officers. They're on their way to help us out with this one, too, cuz it's on the highway, but in the city. So, it's a bit of like a jurisdictional thing. No, that's fine. Okay. But they're probably going to want to talk to you, too. Okay, that's fine. Um, where were we at? She got out of the vehicle. Nobody else got in or out of that vehicle? She was by herself the whole time when I saw her right there. Even on You could see in the truck and make sure nobody else was in there. Uh-huh. Okay. Yeah. All right. Um, and you basically just stayed to make sure she didn't drive off or Yeah, that's what I was Well, also I just I was afraid that she was going to take off like when she saw me leave and I just wanted to make sure that like I'm afraid that she was going to kill herself and kill somebody else like that. I just want to think about No, no. It's very considerate of you. I mean, unfortunately, drunk driving, crashes, you know, you have deadly results. So, not only that, she looks so young, too. You know, not to worry. I feel like sometimes I talk to her, but it's like saving her life and other people like No, you're right. That's a good way to think, you know. So, all right. If you don't mind waiting here, stay okay. Is she intoxicated or I haven't made contact with her yet. I wanted to talk to you before I did. Oh, okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, and you said something about throwing up. I know that there was a a car in front of me. I don't know if they called 911. Uh-huh. They said that, but I I I couldn't see cuz it's so so dark. So, I don't know if she was throwing up. So, you never saw her throw up? No. Okay. That's just what I was wondering. Yeah. I know the cops, but they were waiting there for a while, then they left. Okay. So, I don't know if they Heat. Heat. Who's that down there? told me to tell you. He just came by. Okay, I'm going to go talk to him then. Is that SP? Yeah, it's SP. It's DC. She's asking that I just got here. Hey, DC. So, basically, we've got a female who followed 839 cuz somewhere off of no uh Roadrunner. Uh she noticed a vehicle stopped and she was slouched over in the driver's seat and cars were honking at her to go. She pulled up next to her, saw she was in the driver's seat with no one else in the vehicle. Um asked her if she was okay. She said, "Yeah, I'm fine." But then she drove off and the female thought she was code 18 cuz she was driving like 10 miles an hour and swerving. Um followed her all the way up here to 70 in Messa Grande where she pulled over, got out of the driver's seat and passenger seat and she's been standing by waiting for us to respond. The officers who came to call said she was she had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage. She was Code 19 saying get the fuck away from me. turn that shit off kind of stuff. Once they pulled her out and saw who she was, they just had her get back into the passenger seat and then called her supervisors. So, I've got state police out here right now. Uh, he just showed up. So, I'm going to brief him and then we'll handle it from there and I'll call you and PCO back. All right. Here's the phone back to V. Yes, sir. Uh, yes, sir. Uh, we'll do. I mean, I'm not It's just a shitty position to be in. All right. I'm giving the phone back to V, sir. Hey, bro. You hot? Huh? You hot? Yeah. Uh, yeah. I know what was going. I was here a while ago. They're going to send another uh another officer cuz I'm kind of uh a conflict of interest for me. back to the 46 back. It's a tough position, man. It's tough for all of us, but they want our administration wanted you guys involved so that there's no accusations of any kind of bias treatment. Okay. Um well, they're going to send somebody down here, somebody else to do it. Oh, man. Mhm. And I don't know if you guys have talked to the witness at all, but yeah, you know. Yeah, I talked to her. But uh yeah, when I cuz they had given us the call and I came up here and then when I had to come back around, you guys were already here and I went and talked to the witness and but I didn't know I didn't know that was Yeah. No, I hear you, man. So, who's on the way? Aina. Aina. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, he should be coming up over that one. All right. I guess he'll just stand by. I haven't made contact with her. I don't really know if there's a point right now. I already talked to a witness who's got a pretty good clear statement. Yeah. Yeah. That's Yeah. All right. Let me see. Let me make sure. Remember I said somebody else. Okay. Thank you. We're still waiting on one more SP unit to get here. One more SP unit to get here. They're going to take over the 47 part of this investigation. Uh I'm basically going to end up standing by to let admin know what happens. Okay. And of course, we're all going to need to cut a report about this. You want you want obviously you want it to be primary or you want us to base it off of SP's case number? No. No. You guys will do an information report, but everything will be in a supplement. The initial is just going to be one of those C supplemental reports for further details. The initial going to be what? One of those that just says C supplemental report for further details. Okay. 071 central. 97 the DC ending. Another guy on the way. Yeah, he's he's on his way. Okay. So, I appreciate your guys help. I know this isn't easy on any of us involved. Yeah, that I don't want to touch that one. Should be coming up. Oh, he called me right on the dude. You go. Yeah, I don't have a He said chief and PSU and all that already know. So, But yeah, um SP is going to do handle the 47 part of it. We're basically going to stand by to let Admin know what happens. Just given what the witness told me and what these guys told me, I think we already know where it's going to go. I should be good, bro. uh with the SP guys and these two guys. I don't really want to put you having to witness any of it. Yeah, I will. So, the only thing I would need you guys to stick around for is just in case something really went south. Yeah, we'll stay. We'll stay. I mean, but just hang hang out in back and me and state police will deal with everything up there. Where's my beanie? There it is. [panting and sighs] [music] Hello, Sergeant Garcia. Yes, this is him. Hey, Sergeant. Hey, Sergeant. How you doing? Not bad. Hey, I'm sorry. I did that. No, no, I understand. I talked to the other one that was here. He said it's a conflict of interest. No problem, sir. I appreciate you all uh helping out. My administration wanted us to get you involved so that there's no uh so it doesn't look like there was any kind of uh preferential treatment or anything. Okay. Okay. We'll take care of All right. I appreciate your help, sir. All right. Bye. I am freezing cold. It was uh worse last night, I thought. Yeah, last night. What's that? That was way worse last night. So, that was my one night off this week. You guys are still red, right? Yes, sir. Okay. Yeah. Make sure you stay red this whole time. Yes. And you guys didn't see anyone else in the vehicle when you got here, right? We uh we kind of risked the area a little bit and no signs of So, she she said nobody threw up. She has no idea where that information came from. She just said she got out and stumbled around the truck using it for balance. Maybe maybe it might have been another RP and I thought they said male. Yeah, male was pulling up. Yeah, from what she said once uh she got into the passenger seat, she pulled over to the front and stopped. She said she didn't feel comfortable driving off cuz she might have driven off and could have hurt somebody else. Hey, what's going on? Uh, just waiting for SP to help me handle the 47 end of things. Our witness, a very good witness, said she saw the truck stop on Road Runner, cars were honking because she wasn't moving. Pulled up next to her, saw her in the driver's seat, no one else in the vehicle, asked her, "Are you okay?" She said, "Yeah." Drove off, unable to maintain lanes at like 10 m an hour. The 47. So she followed her, called us, said once this vehicle stopped here, she got out of the driver's seat using the truck for balance, made her way around to the passenger side, sat in the passenger side. So she pulled over in front of the truck and called us. Our boys got here, the the OT didn't recognize who it was, asked her to get out. She was like, "No, fuck you. Get the fuck away from me. Turn that shit off." He could smell the odor coming from the vehicle from her. Um, he went over to the passenger door, opened it up, told her to get out. The FTO saw who it was, told her to get back in and called for a supervisor. I showed up and basically just waiting on SP who just arrived right now to brief him so they could handle the 47. Okay. And so I went ahead uh closed or left this door open, walked around, opened that door, and I told her to step out. She refused. I told her to step out again. She refused, and I then told her that she I'm I'm giving her a lawful order to step out.
